Speaker 1 (00:03):
All right, it is The Woodie Show. Yeah, and we
interrupt your podcast feed to bring you a special bulletin.
We have learned over the last twelve years of doing
this that there is no way to please everybody when
times like this come up. Yeah, Yeah, we've we've tried
(00:23):
a number of different things. We've tried doing you know,
no announcement whatsoever. We've tried doing over announcing. We've tried
you know where we run a podcast of when we
have best of our vacation days. People complain about that.
We've tried everything. So this is this is what we're
doing now. This is the same week of vacation that
we take every year or it's live so I can
(00:45):
you know, have my kids see their grandparents and you know,
all of us have like some family stuff for some
other plans that we got gone on because we can do.
Because when you have a job, part of the job
comes with some benefits, like you know, your medical coverage
and things like that, and also vacation. And when you
wake up in the middle of the night the way
that we do and you're on some weird schedule all
(01:06):
the time, it does mess with you mentally, physically and
everything else. And so it's important that you take the
time that you're given because it's technically part of your compensation.
That's why you ask for it's why you negotiate for it.
And when you're given and you don't use it, well
that's on you. And I was one of those people
for many years, right, We didn't use the vacation that
we were given. And it serves no real purpose other
(01:26):
than to just like completely end up pissing you off,
yeah and uh and burning you out on other what
is otherwise a fantastic job. Yeah, it's it's it's a
great job. But these these breaks are good for us
to you know, just kind of be able to like reset, recharge,
sleep in normal life. Yeah right, you know, to go
out on a week night or that's so weird, wake
up and have a cup of coffee on your own
(01:47):
like front it's like front patio or something like that.
Like yeah, Greg cees that in movies, that's not so anyway,
we're using this own little podcast episode here just to
let you know that we are going to be on
break or this next week. Okay, and you know the
Woody Show, not fire anything else. I mean, who knows
what happens while we're gone. Yeah, company's constantly laying people off.
(02:09):
So who that just got laid off? I know, the
same the other day. Same But we're gonna be back
live with the brand new show on Monday July sixth,
So after the fourth of July weekend, possibly we'll be
back at work the same way everybody else will after
the fourth of July holiday weekend with the whole new
week of shows, and we'll be back to normal again
starting on Monday July the sixth. In the meantime, anything
(02:31):
you want to leave for us or tell us, we're
still posting things here on our social media at the
Woody Show. Uh, you know, so you can follow a
menace or myself or whatever. We'll post a bunch of stuff. Yeah,
on the different Woodies Show social channel, so you can
keep up there. But there's something you want to tell
us about or you're getting caught up on the other podcast,
same deal. Uh, just use that after hours voicemail eight
seven seven forty four Woody. That's eight seven seven forty
(02:53):
four Wooding. And for those of you who are disappointed,
I guess you're just goin to live with your disappointments. Yeah,
it's it's funny man, people get angry at it. Oh
yeah for taking vacation time. I don't know, like if
you get that at your job, like when you know,
you take a day that that you're given as part
of your employment and people you know, motherfuck you. Yeah
would work. Yeah, like just talking shit that's like and
(03:17):
trying to hate on you and stuff. But for Uscia,
thank you for understanding. And we'll see you back here
again Monday, July sixth, and that will conclude this special
podcast edition here of The Woody Show. I Quit this Bitch.
