Speaker 1 (00:00):
More music, more variety. It is ninety three point nine LIGHTFM.
All right, I want to get right into it. I'm
so excited. The celebrity hotline is ringing Hailey Reinhart Wheeling's own.
We know her from American Idol, we know her from
a song can't help falling in love. She's on the
phone with a brand new song. Hi, Mom, Can I
tell you how much I love you? And how your
(00:21):
voice is literally the most perfect thing I've ever heard.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Oh you give me chills. You're literally the sweetest person.
Oh thank you.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
No, but I don't you know. I follow you and
I you know. So anyway, all right, we're going to
get to your brand new song that came out. But
how are you? How's it been since American Idol in
eighteen twelve?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Life has been really great and super busy, And I'm
kind of balancing out, you know, the juggling act between
being on the road and touring pretty much constantly and
then writing on my very little off time. And I'm
trying to make more time to write and record a
fifth album, my fifth album. So I'm very excited doing that.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, and you still love coming back home in Chicago
and wheeling and like, right, you never leave Chicago, do you?
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Oh? Yeah, yeah, I mean I just adore going home.
My whole family, all my friends, everybody's still there. So
my fiance is from there, so we just have so
many roots. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Okay, So you and I had a little kids mit moment.
This is so weird, but I rescued a new kitty
and she gave my husband a kiss, and I thought
it was the sweetest moment. I'm like, what song would
be so great to play with it? And of course
Hailee Reinhart can't help falling in love that Elvis Rema like,
I had to play that song. And then, by the way,
that where did you come up with wanting to do
(01:39):
that as a remake because it's so brilliant with your voice.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Well, I actually got a call from gentleman by the
name of Daniel Kuiper's who is from Chicago, Land originally,
and he asked me to record it for an extra
gum commercial. So that that was it.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
That was I never knew, that's why you did that.
I was like, it is he knew, he knew how
you Oh my.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Gosh, he saw me out and honestly, I mean for
it to go from a commercial organically to radio and
people like yourself. You just helped me take it up
the charts and it lived on the radio ways for
a long time. So I thank you so much for
that for all your support.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Still love, still love that song. But anyway, so I
play that music and then all of a sudden, you're like,
oh my gosh, you're not going to believe it. I
have a new song coming out called Promise, and it
was written about your dog.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yes, it is crazy in Kismut because I literally was
looking to reach out to you first so that you
could hear the track. And I wrote it with my
fiance and you know, we're getting married next year, so
there's a lot of love surrounding it. But we also
wanted it to cater and speak to all the animal
lovers out there and the pet parents, you know. So
this was dedicated to everybody out there that has this
(02:51):
beautiful devotion and love for their animals and also you know,
their newborns, their lovers, the people that they're going to
get engaged and married too, So it speaks to everything.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
I love it. Okay, so Promise you have to listen
to it wherever you get your music, Hailey Ryanhart promise.
The whole family is so incredibly talented. So I wait,
I have to know you're coming back for your sister's wedding.
Are you guys all gonna sing at her wedding? What's happening?
I want to be at that wedding. Why are you
going so fun? Without giving it away because I know
(03:21):
she might be listening, but what are you gonna do? Like,
is there anything?
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah? Yeah, there's there's gonna be a special performance that
she wanted me and my dad to do a song
that we've done our whole lives together, and and I
was like, well, actually I wanted to maybe dance with
my dad to this song at my wedding and so
but either way, it's kind of like this cute foreshadowing
of doing it, singing it and then maybe dancing to
it later. So and can't help falling in love? I'll
(03:45):
do so this is She even asked about Promise, and
I was like, well, I might save the follow up
to Can't Help Falling in Love for my wedding, but.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Listen, yeah, I've literally in tears. I'm in tears, all right.
Well Everyone loves you, Hailey Ryan. I wish I had
twenty five minutes to interview to that. Have a million questions.
I love you, will you come back when you're in Chicago?
And will you sing?
Speaker 2 (04:05):

Speaker 1 (04:06):
