Speaker 3 (01:23):
Well, big news of course of your football fan. You
found out that Chris Career got the let go yesterday.
So they parted ways. They said mutually part of ways, okay,
which means a very easy firing, like could you easily
walk out the door? Yeah? Yeah, whatever, Right, So we're
not sure who's going to be next. Is Big Daniel's
gonna have a job. So at the end of the season,
we don't know. Man, Nope, nope, you don't think I'll
(01:45):
make it through that. I have a source, give it
inside source, you have it, sources to the Boat Show,
sources of football, your sources everywhere. Man.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Well, when you're we're in you're X man, things like

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Also, we got the Big Boat Show happening.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
You brought that up.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
It was by my fourth day of the show. It's
been a interesting program out there, lots to see. Nautical
Ventures brought out their cool new aquasode, which is not
the big five hundred thousand gallon pool.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
It's a bunch of aqua bandage.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah, and I'm showing Joan Force footage of it live
right now.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Are you a superb Yeah, a cool shit about there.
Kind of a neat new way to do it. And
it's been a big draw. Christian Schmoyer, the world record
jet pack Lady's been out there doing shows and stuff
and they're showing she's great, great toys that she's awesome, man. Yeah,
great toys and all their amazing boats out there with
the actual bars.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, the electrics are there, the toys, the pedal bikes.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
We're looking right now, vision marines out there, who it
was a show by the way through like their stuff,
so really cool show. Last two days. And I'll tell
you this as a boat seller guy, Uh, your best
day to get a deal on the boat, Yeah, Sunday
at about four o'clock just for they close, really because
we have sales guys are desperate to get a deal. Yeah,
(03:11):
you get walking in man, and I mean literally steal
a boat at freaking four o'clock in the afternoon Sunday. Okay,
I'll give you a tip.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Man.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
That's not just for my apparition. Everybody out there can
grab a boat like TRT cheap dirt cheap.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
By the way, that's cheap. That Aquazone is on the
north side of the inter coastal, north of the show,
and you can ride the axle bars.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
You can, they actually domble. All those cool all.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
The boats, all the electrics, everything is Yeah, it's.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Some water toys. You get the hydrofoil. You got all
kinds of cool steff out there, the FC bobs, et cetera,
solf that's cool. Cool place to be. Yeah, Mean, have
a guy waiting on line one. He's me be dressed
in costume. I can't see him. It was the things here.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
We'll ask him, shall we. That's why I didn't.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
You know, what do your Halloween thing? I like that?
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Now come on, man, come on, be like, come do
your wolver Wine impression. Bring them on like you're bringing
on you know whatever, Deadpool?
Speaker 5 (03:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Huh, come on, we should have been Deadpool. Could you
bring him in right?
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Could you bug? Come on? Wow? Was actually one man?
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Come on?
Speaker 6 (04:17):
Yeah? You know I I really didn't miss that. Last week.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
We missed you Jimbo though, as gosh, but Dori Beckoff
floating last week in nor did.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
A great job.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
He was terrific with his usual sarcasm and okay, happy style.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Anyway, So how was your trip to wherever you went
and welcome back?
Speaker 6 (04:36):
Well, yeah, I got back late last night and I'm
just pulling up to the dock. We got a full
day charter on the flyer today. Hopefully it's still floating.
I was over in Mexico off Cabo at Magdalena Bay,
catching fish till your arms fell off every day.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
So it was spectacular stripe marlin. Our best day was
fifty eight stripe marlins.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
What in it?
Speaker 7 (05:00):
One day?
Speaker 6 (05:01):
Yeah, and we probably saw fifty eight hundred of them.
It was just on fire wahoo bites all day long.
Hw mahi's, a few big salefish.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
It was epic. Wow.
Speaker 6 (05:17):
If you're fishing for wah whoo's over there, you would
sink the boat with them. We're fishing mono leaders, circle hooks,
trolling valley who and we're probably getting eight to ten
wilehoo bites a day and in five days so we
might have had forty or fifty wall who bites. We
(05:38):
caught three of them, wow, but all on mono. Otherwise
we were getting cut off if we had put wire
leader or actually put some wahoo style lures out them.
We would have caught twenty a day probably, but it
was spectacular. But like I always say, if you go
where they live, you'll catch them, and that's where they
(05:58):
live at the moment. So the reports I've got out
here off Miami though, it's been fairly good all week.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
Now.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
We got kind of a west wind today from what
it looks like, and earlier in the week, just talking
to the guys while I was away, everybody was doing
really good on dolphin all week, nice size ones and
not out very far. And then the last like two
days since this little front moved through, there's still been
some dolphin around and there's been a not a lot
(06:28):
of sales, but there's been quite a few of them caught.
You know, a lot of people have been fishing for them.
Therefore there's been a fair amount of them caught. But
one of the reasons, from what I have heard, the
conditions have been good. Good the water's been blue, there's
been current, which if that happens at any time of
the year, you can have good sale fishing and good
(06:49):
everything fishing.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Tibo back those wahoo you guys lost several of them.
If you've gone to like heavy, heavy, super gauge, a
model like a two hundred pounds some silly ridiculous number.
Speaker 6 (07:00):
They cut through that. Nah, they'll cut through that like
butter as well. You need to go to wire leader.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
But we're we're.
Speaker 6 (07:09):
Basically we're marlin fishing. We're using eighty pound mono leaders,
which is all you need for them. And to catch
one of those wallhoo's you just got to get super
lucky and lippook them. So out of forty fish, that
happened three times, which we would have been letting them
(07:31):
go anyways, because one fish was they're all forty to
fifty pounders. We had much larger ones. We had up
skyrocketing on baits. I mean, it was just out of
control of fishing. So, I mean, what would we have done,
What would we have done with them? Had we kept more?
(07:52):
You know, we're living on the boat, we're on the
hook at night. There's no marinas where we're at.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
We did, we did.
Speaker 6 (08:00):
We kept two of the three wallhoos that we called
we let one go. We're letting go fifteen to twenty
pound mayis. Yeah, yeah, because again you know, we keep
one or two fish, one fish a day, more or
less and it was way more than we can eat,
so if we couldn't really give it away. And then
(08:21):
when we went into the fuel dock after about four
days at sea, we still had a bunch of fish
left over, so we gave it to the guys at
the fuel dock.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
So you think, Jimo, do you think they survive like
the Mayi and stuff that you let go?
Speaker 6 (08:36):
Yeah, I'm certainly we didn't. We don't pull them into
the boat, so we're not beating them up. We're just
in a circle hooks and we're not getting the hawk out,
but we're cutting them off real close, you know, reaching
over with a release knife, cutting the leader up close. Unfortunately,
those law whos have a built in release knife in
(08:59):
their mouth, so that's why we've been catch that many
of them. But yeah, we even let go of the wall.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Soow, yeah, forgot forgot like me or the audience. You
never fished that part of the world. Is it kind
of a cheap proposition fish like that?
Speaker 5 (09:12):
Nope?
Speaker 3 (09:13):
No, no, there you know.
Speaker 6 (09:16):
No way now, it's not cheap to go fishing anywhere.
So yeah, the fuel prices are roughly the same as
what we have here, maybe a little bit more, but
so Cabo would be the nearest real port to where
we're fishing, which it's almost two hundred miles away. If
(09:40):
you want to go to Cabo, which is a spectacular
place to fish. It's normal charter boat racing. I don't
know if they're two thousand a day or fifteen hundred
a day, but that's what it costs pretty much anywhere
in the world for a full day trip on a
decent boat. So to go where we went, No, there's
no charter boats that I'm aware of. It's uh, we're
(10:03):
on a private boat and a friend of mine keeps it.
He has a house in Cabo, keeps his boat there.
So we ran the boat to mag Bay fish for
five days and ran it back. I guess quite a
voyage for Jim would be. Is the price of beer
they're cheaper than here.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Nope, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (10:27):
It's roughly the same. So uh No, it's uh, it's
a fairly modern area, so it's not like you're out
in the sticks. I mean, there are some some areas
that are remote, but basically, uh, Cobo's modern city. I
mean they got a costco there, so so.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
You call your buzz buzz Buzzwiser, There no problem, Buzz.
Speaker 6 (10:54):
No, they're drinking Mexican beer. You know when in went
in Mexico or win in Rome, drinking the Mexican beer.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Got your man?
Speaker 6 (11:02):
Yeah better? And you know.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
That's to catch that amount of fish. I mean that
that's it's.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Utopia, right for a fisherman, for an joe, it is
day he's dressed. If you're the wolverine and you're fishing
at Cobbo, right, whatever, do you jump off the side
of the boat with those big talents you got there
and just stab them as you go down the multi
speed you just stab them with those spears.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
Wolverine's like an animal, you know what I mean. So
it's like a berserk animal just.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Can actually outswim.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
The water.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Yes, that's all. I got to go to the canals.
What I do jumping with state Spirit, gembaid whatever. Okay,
flyers going out today matter or what?
Speaker 6 (11:56):
Yeah, we're out today. Hopefully it's as good as it's
in the last few days and it looks like it
should be a nice day. So we're gonna catch some
live bait. And I'm not quite sure if we're gonna
head off looking for dolphin or stay on the edge.
But that's gonna be determined when we get out there.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Well, we're glad, you bet you mister last weekend man,
first weekend. You're just begging great every weekend, so thank you,
Jim over.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
Well, I'm here this week. I'm here this week, and
then I go back to Mexico for two weeks next week,
so i'll be here next Saturday. After that, i'll be
gone for two weeks.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
Oh my god. Hey, you know what, I'd be gone
every other week too.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
I'm gonna be gone for two weeks too. From the studio.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yes, all right, Jim, Well we have you have a
lovely weekend. Catch him up many seriously.
Speaker 6 (12:51):

I'm with that.
Speaker 5 (13:01):

Speaker 16 (18:57):
I like it warm. I'm not a I'm not a
cold person. I'm a Floridian. So I like warm weather.
I like it like ninety five.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
Degrees five Corey geeze man, Yeah.
Speaker 16 (19:13):
I'll take that over forty to fifty degree weather.
Speaker 6 (19:16):
I can't sta.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
You must have industrial streak, it may be.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Does he have to.
Speaker 16 (19:23):
I don't really sweat, So that's the thing.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
I think.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
You know, sweat, you have like no sweat glands. That's
kind of weird.
Speaker 16 (19:30):
Yeah, it's only when it's like one hundred degrees out
and no air.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
You're not one of those guys that like, you don't
run your ac in your house when it's like eighty
degrees right.
Speaker 16 (19:43):
When it's below eighty, Right, it's about eighty, you know,
seventy seventy five, I don't run it.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
So seventy five is okay, that's all temperature.
Speaker 5 (19:53):
How do you sleep? Man loves to hate joke.
Speaker 13 (19:57):
So hot?
Speaker 5 (19:58):
I keep bear keep it in sixty, dude, I keep
my house nine.
Speaker 16 (20:04):
Well, but yeah, six i'd be I'd be in a
parka and everything would be like an eskimo.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
All right, man, let's get back on that point. How's
your fishing in this week? Man catches a big stuff
or what?
Speaker 16 (20:17):
Yeah, the snakeheads were that was really good.
Speaker 9 (20:21):
Uh.
Speaker 16 (20:21):
One of the days I had, I got a fourteen thirteen.
Uh we got ten nine and a half. Yeah, it
was some really really good fish that one day. Really
tore them up really good.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (20:37):
Niceah, it's I have to say this, which October is
probably one of my favorite times. Well it was, you know,
one of my favorite times to fish for him. I've
always caught a lot of big fish that time of
the year, and this year was no different. Just a
lot of really big fish caught, you know, in that month.
So November is good. The cole friend's kind of this
(21:00):
may not get back a little bit, but I don't
shouldn't knock it back too much because it's not that
potent of one. But yeah, it's it's it's gonna be
it's gonna be bright today, so it'll probably uh yeah,
I just got to slow it down a little bit,
but it should pick up pretty fast. I hear it's
(21:23):
like forty, you know, lower fifties, and maybe that would
slow it down for a couple of days. But yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Hear, I heard noise. You have a client ready for
a day on the water. Were abus are you? No?
Speaker 16 (21:35):
No, I'm out. I'm out in the Everglades. So I'm
I'm I just actually got here. So we're going bad
fishing just to do something going my dad, So doing
something different.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
Corey, Corey, I gotta say, uh, for me personally, I
think it's been one of the best uh fresh water fishing,
Uh so far for me anyway, the past couple of months,
I mean every fish that we've caught, even in our
kids camp have been pretty big.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
You know, we we got down.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Large mouth, uh the eight pound peacock. I mean, it's
been it's been pretty good man. I mean what do
you what do you see?
Speaker 5 (22:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (22:11):
Oh yeah, I know, the same same here. I mean
it's i mean pretty much everything you could you know,
you can imagine fishing for I mean right now is
lately it's been it's been really good. I mean, you know,
the peacocks, I haven't gotten as much for them, but
I know that's you know, that's been really good. And
large you know, large mouth as well out in the
glades and even some of the urban areas too have
(22:32):
been getting into them as well. But yeah, it's it's
been really good. You know, October is usually really good months,
so that changes up and you know, the water is
not so hot and the fishing like the change of
the water temperature. So you know, yeah, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
This this is the Halloween version of the show. A
day later, obviously, could you just recollect what the scariest
moment has been in your days, years and weeks, eons
of fishing. Like just one freaky thing that happened to
you water, just weird thing like that.
Speaker 16 (23:03):
Let's well, yeah, I had we had one situation. My
dad and I were out and we had a we
were going across this like shallow roadbed and all of
a sudden, I was pulling, I was pulling the motor
up and I looked behind me. I heard this noise.
I looked behind me and there's probably like an eight
(23:23):
foot alligator hanging off the side.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
Of the boat.
Speaker 16 (23:27):
And it's like literally hanging over the side of the boat.
And then I say, what what the heck? So it
and as fast as I could say that, the thing
leaped off the boat. And it was it was pretty wild.
It was the bullet, the gator, was the boat. The boat, well,
it was kind of hanging off the side, kind of
like if you were, you know, hanging off the side
(23:48):
of a giant like a boat, like you were hanging.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
It was weird.
Speaker 16 (23:51):
It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen before. And
it was as fast as it happened, the thing jumped off.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
I mean, they can, they can, and they are very sneaky.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
I've gone on the alligator ride in the Everglades before,
and they'll purposely take you somewhere and you'll be looking,
you know, check over here, and the other time they
will come on the other side of the boat, right
up against you. They're very slick.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Yes, yeah, I've lived.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
That was one.
Speaker 16 (24:17):
And the other one I had was this year at
a client that unfortunately didn't listen to anything. I didn't
listen to what I said, and he was hung in
a tree and I said, now, you can let go
of the tree, and he kept going to the side
of the boat where you're not supposed to go, and
he just kept hanging on to it and he wouldn't
let it go. And then all of a sudden he
was half out of the boat and in the boat.
(24:38):
So that was like, I'm trying to help. Then I
had to help him get into the boat. So that
was you know, that's kind of scary. Yeah, I kind
of said at the end, he said, I'm sorry I
gave you a heart attack for you know me if
almost fallen out of the boat, and said, that's all right,
You're you're all right, So that's all it matters.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
I had a friend of mine years ago he was
fishing out in the Everglades, same situation, and alligator came
up and and bid off his Johnson. There's a lot
of pain. His outboard motor was in a lot of pain.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
Damn it is Johnson. You know it's a bad day.
I get that. Okay, I get that. Joe, thank you?
Speaker 3 (25:14):
All right? Of course, everybody, man, let's go to your thing,
brother man, but always bring it one.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
More questions, of course, Joe.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Corey, what's your what was your biggest peacock the last
couple of months, I mean not peacock, sorry, snakehead?
Speaker 16 (25:26):
My biggest was fifteen that's been my biggest big fish man, Yeah, yeah,
that was thirty thirty nine inches long?
Speaker 5 (25:37):
What about large mouth? You want to go to nine
and a half.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
We'll go to the oscars and Sickle's next, Joe, And yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
Can I ask him one last question? Do we have time?
Speaker 18 (25:46):
Joe?
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Why?
Speaker 5 (25:49):
Corey?
Speaker 4 (25:49):
If you just want to target the big snakeheads? Right,
what is your go to lore?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
A frog?
Speaker 16 (25:58):
Well, lately, lately, I say those last month has been
a frog, I mean pop war. But if I'm gonna
go like all around, it's gonna be the pitching with
that Crawdad like that past.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, okay, no more iguanas.
Speaker 5 (26:13):
Yeah no, no.
Speaker 16 (26:14):
No iguanas. But they will eat those. They will eat them.
Speaker 3 (26:17):

they will all right. Tune in everyone, Corey. Have a
great week and keep it strong, bro, and one day

it to be enjoyable. I figured that out about Floridians,
Like the old school Floridians. A lot of them don't
use a C until it's like eighty plus. Well oh
(26:39):

Speaker 16 (26:42):
Wow, no, I know every time I say that to
somebody looked like I got They look at me like

Hey, good morning, gentlemen, good morning, what a pretty day man. Yeah,
it's finally happened. Somebody turned down to temple a little bit.
I went, how cool is that?
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Man?
Speaker 27 (32:15):
It's only been like an eight month summer, right.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
I love this weather, rain and heat and rain and
heat for like forever and ever. Man.
Speaker 27 (32:21):
Yeah, things are kind of whacked out a bit. You know,
whatever happened to the old April May showers and all
that stuff that didn't happen anymore until like shoot October.
It's crazy, isn't it.
Speaker 28 (32:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 27 (32:31):
I mean yeah, it's different, man, really crazy, really crazy.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Well reward going last out of Halloween or was it
adopted last night? Nah?
Speaker 6 (32:39):
Nah?
Speaker 27 (32:40):
Not really? You know, we uh, you know, truthfully, we
you know, we've had a hard time, you know, bayside
marketplaces where we're at, and we got all three boats there.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
But it's it's.
Speaker 27 (32:52):
Kind of like great for one thing, you know, for
transient folks that come in and out of town because
they're kind of numbed everything. And you know, it cost
us after COVID, especially COVID killed our night business with
curfews and all that stuff and lost their whole night crew.
And you know, we we're back doing some some night trips.
You know what a couple of nights a week Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
(33:13):
we're open to do. And then of course in bayside,
you know, it's it's not kind for people to park
and it's expensive, so we just cut a deal. And
so we're pushing hard. You'll see a lot of stuff
on social media and you know, I've been looking hard
for a place to run. You know, we run a
party fishing boat. Yeah, we do it upscale, but it's
to provide economical access. You know, who can afford fifteen
(33:36):
hundred bucks to go fishing on a charter boat, you
know for six hours or whatever. Not many folks can anymore.
So you know, you come on my boat. It's for
locals down shoot, it's like fifty sixty bucks. And we've
got we have limited free parking, especially on weekends when
it gets crazy busy. So yeah, I'm paying a monthly rate.
I'm and I'm trying to We're trying to build our
(33:58):
local trade. Man, Guys want to fish with us again,
you know, we're one of a kind. We do everything
and you know, walk on a boat, you want to do,
vertical jig and deep jigging, whatever you want to do,
live bait, you bring your own kite.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
If you want.
Speaker 27 (34:08):
I mean, you know, I've done it all. I've won
billfish tournaments on party boats. I've called I don't know
how many swordfish on them. We've done everything on the boats,
so kind of a one stop shop. And all my
crew were great. And then teach you to train you
and whatever you would like to learn that we can.
We can help.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Folks with so swordfish a party boat.
Speaker 27 (34:27):
What are you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (34:28):
Stop it?
Speaker 27 (34:29):
Nineteen seventies, man, stop it. Ronnie Schapman. Ronnie Chapman back
around seventy four or five, this is way back. Captain
ron one of the one of the greatest, most innovative
captains ever out of the old Castaways dock. He went
out on a little boat with a long line called
eleven broad bills. In one night we started running. Wow,
(34:50):
we started and this is a lot of you guys
see it.
Speaker 6 (34:53):
I got.
Speaker 27 (34:53):
I guess I better write a book because there's so
many facts that truthfully, there's a lot of facts out
there that.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
Are really good.
Speaker 27 (35:00):
Fishermen don't know and have no idea of things, and
you know, the fish don't forget some things. But Ronnie
started that, and I was within a year, I was
running to Cap.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
Rudy at night.
Speaker 27 (35:12):
We'd get in at midnight, clean our snappers on a
Saturday night, charge twenty five dollars for a swordfish trip,
turn around and run out ten miles. We would make
like to two hours of drifting and come home. I'd
be back at the dock by seven thirty. So we
thought swordfish every night, every night. And I don't care
what you put out. There's stupidest fish in the world.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
Yeah, I've heard of it.
Speaker 27 (35:33):
But I went to the Castaways and I would borrow Stanley's.
Stanley on the therapies is six o's and nine o's
because we only had a few of them. But I'd
take out like ten guys sword fishing, and they just
go out with a keg of beer or coolers of
beer and get hammered to death and then hook a
fish and they'll take turns flight and it's crazy, man.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Crazy, so cool. You miss back in the day of
the history of the city. The Castaway was a real
cool place to hang nor haulover right, that was like
nor anyway Hollywood stars to hang out. There was a
great place to be. He had the big fishing pier
out there as well, just a cool place to hang.
(36:17):
Remember Newport Piers let too far away as well, and.
Speaker 27 (36:21):
Right across the street. Bro I used to sell mackerel
bouncer and I would would catch bir lap bags full
of a little little Spanish mackerel, walk around and sell
them for a quarter apiece.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
Wasn't there like a little amusement park right near there
as well too, like you can play video game, pinball
and this and that.
Speaker 27 (36:38):
I don't know, man, Mom would drop me off with
the pier with five bucks, and that was it. I
got me on the pier. Listen to me, got me
on the pier. It got me a live bait stamp
of dollar all day, and it got me like it
was if it was on a Friday, the Hojo's Howard
Johnson's geting two hot dogs for a buck, fifty best.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Dogs in the world.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Bag yep, great clamstrips. I never forgot there.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
You go, hey, Wayne, do.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
You go back to all this stuff? Wayne? Okay, trust me,
believe me.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
Do you think like the sword fishing would be like
that today?
Speaker 27 (37:11):
You know, well, there's been two big there's been two
big downfalls after that. You know that boom in the
seventies was amazing and the average fish. Jerry Webb and
his cousin Jesse Webb, they went out with Buddy Carrey's son,
Mike Carry and they caught the first two on rod
and reel uh after you know, after Ronnie caught all
(37:34):
those on the on the long lines. And the first
time they went out they broke off two or three fish.
But you were really big back then. The two they caught,
one was close to three hundred, one was close to
four hundred.
Speaker 5 (37:44):
Man, yeah, he.
Speaker 27 (37:49):
Yes, yes, So Jerry Webb, who owned Flucker Taxider, me
to time and I went to work for them shortly
after that and ran their boat.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
But yeah, that was rod.
Speaker 27 (37:57):
Nobody wanted to do it, and Mike Carrey says, yeah,
we'll try it, you know, and they donated his time
in the boat and they went out there. SI had
no idea what they're doing. You just put big old
base out there, sat around pounding budweisers. The next thing,
you know, they got to And then, let me tell you,
unless you've never hooked one, there's very few fish that
come close to their the way they fight and the
(38:19):
dude on a party. But like the biggest of as
we caught were like two fifty or so, I guess,
but it's all you want, trust me, all you need. Anyway,
that's part of the history how the rod and real
lie things starts. And they started a Miami swordfish tournament
for a while. But it wasn't long after that that
everybody with a small boat was out there doing it,
and the swordfish took a hit. Then longliners pounded it
(38:40):
out here, and Ray Roacher actually started bringing it back
a bit a few years of Like guys were going
out not getting a bite, you know, all night, all night,
all night, and it slowly faded a bit, and Ray,
I guess about twenty years ago, started doing it again
and it became a thing to go out there with
big giant live blue runners and fish for him that
way race, you know, on Miss Britain.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
He kind of brought it back. Go ahead, there you go,
Well clock his rocket closer. Uh, we're talking about the
Halloween tame here. In all your years of fishing, decades
of fishing, have you had one just one scary moment,
like scary, scary, weird moment that's happened to you in
your fishing days.
Speaker 27 (39:19):
Now, I could do a little woo woo stuff. They
could do you a little woo woo stuff with what's
going on with UAPs and all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
Back in the day man talking about whatever.
Speaker 27 (39:30):
Man, I'm fishing, I'm out fishing. I'm out fishing, and
we're offshore doing a dolphin trip in the daytime. Something
came under our boat. That was Honestly, the crew said
that maybe it was a giant school of bluefish, but
it was, you know, two hundred feet across and moving
and deep in blue water. It was and uh so
(39:53):
school bluefish. Yeah, maybe maybe not.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
That's a story.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
An alien underworks.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Could have been, a submarine, could have been.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
You guys know, you guys know that our government did
just come out and say and admit.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
That there are these these u a ps they call them.
That are they cannot explain them, Okay, like they're real.
Speaker 27 (40:21):
Well that's another subject. They've also got the reactors as
big as a basketball. It can run a whole city,
but they're not going to let them out.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
Yeah right, anyway, anyway, by side, Uh just go out
there and call you show up whatever man.
Speaker 27 (40:37):
Reward fishing Reward fleet on Facebook, check us out come
on out upscale party boat fishing. We take you out
in the ocean cheap, we teach you how to do it,
and probably can park for free. It's limited, but make reservations.
Get there and we'll take care of you.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
Man some experience.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
I've actually fished on Wayne's boat, so I know exactly
how worse man. It's a great, great boat. Sure, So
we're not going to see my crew.
Speaker 27 (40:59):
You're not going to see my crew standing in the
corner fishing to catch fish to sell that.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
That's not what we do about you. Thank you.
Speaker 11 (41:06):
Way.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
I saw the spin of the Bunt Show yesterday. Joey
bouped his way into the show.
Speaker 5 (41:15):
Okay, how'd they go?
Speaker 3 (41:17):
He and his lovely wife, we're there having a great
time hanging. By the way, he met Roger Moore. Yeah,
really kind of nice. You see those two together. Yeah,
and uh, he was a happy guy. Well he's always
a happy, happy guy. Happy to see me, by the way,
of course, So Jim chief chiefy crew guy, want to
see you, buddy, good good.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Hey, who's blowing bubbles today?
Speaker 5 (41:39):
Which I got you.
Speaker 26 (41:45):
And the good news is we've been blowing a lot
of bubbles, so it's been really good. Uh, finally find
the weather kind of cooperated a little bit, but just
I'll get to the good stuff first.
Speaker 5 (41:55):
I do Tuesday.
Speaker 26 (41:58):
I'm going out today with my buddy Relentless, who's a
private boat and a lot of fun, and we crushed
it first time this season. Is important that I finally
found a honey hole with seven lobsters. I think I
got five of the seven in one spot. I was like, wow,
(42:21):
look at that. It's all all this season, including mini season,
it's been one one, one, one, so maybe two, you know,
like you get the honeymoon sweet where a boy and
girl are in there in the same hole.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
You know.
Speaker 26 (42:37):
But other than that, which is a good sign, guys,
that tells me that things are happening, things are moving in.
Speaker 5 (42:45):
I think, uh, you know, we kind of.
Speaker 26 (42:47):
Coordinate this, uh the boat Show with postseason of baseball.
Speaker 27 (42:52):
By the way, game seven tonight.
Speaker 26 (42:54):
And you know, we had a little cool front coming
through Mullet Run. Everything's lining up for the big walk
and we just haven't seen it or heard it coming in.
Whether they're a walk yet, I don't know, but they're
kind of in and everybody's.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Doing really well. Thursday, Yeah, I had a.
Speaker 26 (43:16):
The Ladygo Diver, the big news is there they moved
out of the sands. They were into Sands on Thursday,
which is in Pompino, and then they moved on up
to Deerfield.
Speaker 5 (43:27):
So they're going to.
Speaker 26 (43:27):
Pick up at Salivon Park right there at the inner
coastal at Hillsboro Boulevard, so that's an easier trip and
you have access going north.
Speaker 5 (43:37):
It was great.
Speaker 26 (43:38):
Everybody got their limit. I mean we had seven or
eight divers. Everybody got their limit of lobsters. So it
was really a good day. On Thursday, water temperature is
still eighty eighty one. You got like the I mean
the bad news is all of this rain that we've
had is still kind of hanging around at green Water
(44:00):
still there right, you know, so your visibility, man, what
is not that good. I'm just hoping that it kind
of cleans up now. All right, Eric, I'm gonna leave
it to you, buddy. It's all you now know where
this is going.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
I had Roger Moore walking yesterday. We just set our
hellos get up us both times. Yeah, Jim walks up
with Zelbie. Wife introduced both and I happen to just say, listen, guys,
get together. I'm gonna post this question and just see
what their opinions are about h either don't Steven, we
were just either shooting a fish or catching it on.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
We had to go there or we had we've been
told not to go there, or going on a hook
and hold on, let me unshare the show right now. Okay,
a hole. I just said, no, you set this up.
You one thousand pack this up.
Speaker 3 (44:52):
So Roger Moore was asked that question, and I think
we have the video of this, but we roll this
and see where Roger Moore's opinion was. If we can this,
I'm discussion here was Roger Ward from Nautical Mattress and
Jim Matthew, chief and crew guy about the humanity of
either a dispatching a fish with a spear or b
a hook in his mouth. Roger, you seem to want
(45:14):
tend with Jim's opinion about dispatching it quickly.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
One. If I'm going out, don't put me in a
hook in my mouth?
Speaker 27 (45:20):
What a freaking spear in my brain?
Speaker 13 (45:22):
That's where I want to go.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Wow, I've got an I can't win, man.
Speaker 29 (45:32):
I love you buddy all.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Right here now collect you're fifty bucks.
Speaker 5 (45:37):
Off of Roger.
Speaker 26 (45:41):
Now this is the boss Man saying, all right, what.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Do you think of that?
Speaker 3 (45:45):
Joe?
Speaker 2 (45:45):
We shut Eric off, by the way, because that's how
he should be for like the rest of the Joe.
Speaker 5 (45:52):
That's great, buddy, that's great.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
I can hear you.
Speaker 5 (45:57):
Joe.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
Go ahead, No, I you know, I mean the man
the man did say it, Rogers, So I guess we
got in. If he's paying the bills.
Speaker 2 (46:09):

Speaker 5 (46:13):

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yes he did.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
Anyway, Jim, he's still side with you, okay, by the way,
to see that, he's that versus rod Reel, so he's
definitely on your side. The big Man says, he sides
with Jim. Chief Bathy, that's.
Speaker 5 (46:26):
Good enough for me.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Okay, sure, so I'm off the bandwagon. Go ahead and
just harvest as many as you want with ninety five
fast harvest.
Speaker 5 (46:34):
Have a great time. Okay, yeah, harvest.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
Today's November first today.
Speaker 26 (46:41):
No more hog fish on the menu, no more hog
fish at all. And listen, we have been seeing a
ton of hog fish.
Speaker 28 (46:50):
They're just I mean, and.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
This is good.
Speaker 26 (46:53):
So that the rules that the regulations changed, it's really helped.
So we're definitely seeing more hog fish bigger ones, not
huge huge, but we still I mean, got a few
good ones this season, so we won't have any more
hog fish for six months. Grouper, however, is still around.
Grouper is still around, and we're seeing I mean, I
(47:15):
don't I can't remember the last time we harvested so
many red groupers in my entire life. I mean, they're
everywhere on that second reef. So it's been great. And
they they're kind of a stupid fish, so that's kind
of good. Black grouper. I would, I would venture us
and I did have a nice shot on a on
(47:37):
a wreck on a Couberra. Yeah, big, a big one,
A big one.

a little bit.
Speaker 5 (47:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 28 (47:48):
No, I didn't get them.
Speaker 26 (47:49):
I didn't get I didn't have the range. I didn't
have the range. I know, I was like, man, dog
gone it. But you know, we're seeing bigger fish, and
that's as a water gets cooler, the bigger fish.
Speaker 3 (48:01):
Do come in.
Speaker 26 (48:02):
So it's been uh, hey, you know, November December, we

Speaker 33 (53:03):
No, I have the best thing, which is friends with boats.
Speaker 5 (53:06):
There you go, man, Oh, so it's a friend's boat.
Speaker 3 (53:08):
You jump out.
Speaker 5 (53:10):
That's a cool thing. That's how you do it.
Speaker 3 (53:13):
That's how you do it, man. Yeah, right, friends love friends.
Just apply to those boat man, and just make me

Speaker 33 (53:22):
I love the show. You get to hear about the

some of the best captains for fishing charters and a
bunch of buddies of mine are going to hopefully get

Speaker 3 (53:37):
But all right, my friend, hey, one question for you, Mike,

Good morning, guys. How you doing.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
I see Sean. I guess you're probably walking the old
dog this morning.
Speaker 7 (54:27):
Huh maybe, No, man, I am. I'm actually in like
north central Florida somewhere doing a bass tournament of all things.
Speaker 5 (54:35):
Oh man, okay, okay.
Speaker 7 (54:39):
Is its three sixty seat and I'm in the kayak
and I'm on the water right now waiting for lines
in and nice.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
He just said this will be the last pot three together.
Yeah I could that right, and real stundid.
Speaker 5 (54:55):
It's just it's sort of like part of the show now, right,
we talked about it.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
It should be. It's a peg sponsor. But whatever which.
Speaker 7 (55:04):
Happen, it's kind of where it's meant to be, like
in a bass tournament. Second turnary which way, you know.
Speaker 5 (55:09):
But not true.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
Very cool now this artificial or live bait or combination.
Speaker 7 (55:13):
Artificial only one line at a time.
Speaker 3 (55:17):
Yeah, Joe would be fish because it is not live bait. Okay,
not for me.
Speaker 5 (55:26):
Popular in the bass world, you know.
Speaker 7 (55:28):
Yeah, it's really out of my realm too, which kind
of makes it exciting. I've never been in this part
of Florida and never been purposely trying to catch a
large fount bass, and never been in a kayak bass
tournament besides Joe's exotic ones, and so something new, something exciting.
Let's see what happens.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
Cool now that way, there's no peacock bass shot. There's
too far north than Florida because they're like a halfway there.
Speaker 7 (55:50):
Just forty nine degrees right here right now.
Speaker 3 (55:52):
Yeah, my god, they don't want to be there. Peacock
bass don't want to be there, Joe Sean So one
of our listeners earlier left to comment asking how the
wahoo biting pompting is you got anything there?
Speaker 7 (56:04):
Terrible man, I was out yesterday the water went from
like doodoo brown to green, and uh yeah, I had
a nice drift from the kayak and I didn't get
any bites. A bunch of little brown charks around. It's
about it.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
I haven't seen any reports or anything on my seat,
but I mean do do do doo brown? Yeah, I
like big green.
Speaker 7 (56:25):
That's actually uh that's actually a sea witch color that
we we make called doo Dooo brown.
Speaker 3 (56:32):
I don't think about theo my line, but whatever. Yeah,
so wis been really bad. Huh that's too bad.
Speaker 7 (56:39):
Yeah, I mean the water is a big factor, but
I mean the moon's here. I mean, if if you're
going to catch one, it would be this weekend. I
mean I went not fish because of the reports are bad.
I mean I would I'm more of the be the
report kind of guy instead of wait for the report.
Speaker 3 (56:55):
Yes, yeah, for sure. Man, so very cool, but the
family are just so old a one.
Speaker 7 (57:01):
This one's solo in the kayak. So my wife said
she would fish it, but she wouldn't let me have
to settle for second place.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
So all right, Oh, hey, seovu, I sad all the
captains morning on a show. It's the Halloween version of
the program. What we call her a scary moment. It's
happened in your entire life, fishing on the water with
a guy or a group or anything weird happening. He's
kind of a scary moment.
Speaker 34 (57:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (57:24):
Actually, around last year I got I got hit by
a forty three foot and I think it was a
verse suit or something like that. It was a no offense.
Speaker 5 (57:35):
Eric.
Speaker 7 (57:35):
It was a boat salesman coming straight out the inlet
and he's coming straight forward towards me. Mike Savage, Benny's captain.
He saw it happen, and I'm standing up, waving my arms,
waving my arms, and uh, last second, I sat down.
Luckily I had the three sixty drive and I reversed
and like clipped the front of my kayak and they
just kept going. Man, it was crazy.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
That boat salesman was probably aiming right at shoe. I
was paying attention to what I dumb ass they were.
Speaker 7 (58:02):
They were standing backwards. They were they must add on
autopilot because they were at the leaning post looking back
at the motors, not even looking in front of him.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
Wow, that guy needs to be canned and selling. Yea,
how fast was he going when he hit you?
Speaker 7 (58:19):
I mean probably it's probably thirty five forty, like full
tilt the kayak.
Speaker 3 (58:24):
Yeah, no, I know, but it like, I mean, that's
basically hitting a kayak, like when you're that close to someone.
Speaker 5 (58:31):
Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 7 (58:33):
And they had no registration numbers on it. I actually
saw the boat on land one time and I pulled
my trucker the side of the road and I ran
up to it. But it was just the transport guys,
and you know, they had no clue who was driving
it then, had no registration numbers on it.
Speaker 5 (58:48):
Nothing.
Speaker 3 (58:48):
Wow, I don't have a shitty boat sales team that
guy's from, but they we don't off right that way
where I work.
Speaker 5 (58:56):
Yeah, off right that way for sure.
Speaker 4 (58:57):
I promise I will never tell Sean what you told
me about, you know, this incident.
Speaker 3 (59:03):
Oh that I was driving a boat no healthy knuckle ahead.
Speaker 7 (59:08):
I was close enough I would have known if it
was Eric. You can't miss that hair.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
You had a spot of the hair to heartbeat man anyway, Yeah,
for sure. What is it an? I prize money this tournament?
What's what's the big payoff?
Speaker 35 (59:19):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (59:20):
Yeah, they pay tough ten percent. It's Florida Bass Nation
Kayak Series. So Florida d nks. Yeah, they pay out
the top ten or twenty percent. I think first place
is like thirteen hundred dollars right now. They got fifty
some entries. Cool, it's a whole series, though.
Speaker 3 (59:41):
Sean, they can't run that tournament like Joe's Exotic Bass
Round Up because he is the king of tournament fishing
with kayaks. I mean, they'll give us man property.
Speaker 7 (59:50):
It's kind of a different different animal here. This is
more of a virtual online tournament. No captain's party, no
way in he picked a picture and released the fish
kind of thing.
Speaker 5 (01:00:00):
So it's cool.
Speaker 4 (01:00:02):
Those those became pretty popular, like those online tournaments, and
actually they got so popular at one point, especially like
like post COVID that I was one of the last
standing like live events, which in a way I think
I don't know if Sean would agree, but helped me
even more, Uh, stay alive during that thing because of
(01:00:24):
the those online ones are great, but there's so much
room for cheating and error, and you know.
Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
It's yeah, so I always say, sew As, we always
pull for our captains, but I hope you take this second,
win it and take first. Yeah, man, I'd rather have
a great week of doing it.
Speaker 7 (01:00:39):
Yeah, if there was an underdog for me, this would
be my underdog tournament here. So uh, I don't have
high hopes, so I'm just looking to have a good time.
Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
So they trying to get a big bat you.
Speaker 7 (01:00:49):
Yeah, it's like a childhood dreamlind you get like a
big ten town bucket mouth. So, uh, I think I'm
at the right spot to do it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
So let's see closing Life where you shot shrivilio ass
to a big old bass.
Speaker 7 (01:01:01):
Oh, I like it, I like it. You could you
get yourself a twenty dollars.
Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
Probably so excited that he just stroked out right.
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Maybe I just actually lost his pony fields. They have
just fundled off his eye, his head, all right, sEH,

Yeah, it's been, uh, not too productive this week for us.
It's been still pretty slow as far as our production
of business here. We don't have too many trips going
on each week, just pick up a few here and there.
Luckily we do a little bit of commercial fishing too.
We actually got a little haul of fish to bring
over to the market this morning. Our hall for this
(01:07:54):
morning is just all king fish, a lot of juvenile
kings around, smaller fish I'd say between five and seven
pounds on average. A lot of small fish, some even smaller.
You flip some of these smaller kings over, they still
got yellow spots on them, looking like they're Spanish mackerel,
but they are definitely juvenile kingfish, a lot of them around,
a lot of bait pushed in shallow off pomp no,
(01:08:16):
I mean, you could come out the inlet here and
see bait busting thirty forty feet of water and it
has a lot of fish pushed in shallow. You got
mahi in real shallow chasing these fish. They're pretty pretty
zoned in, dialed in on these bait fish. So it's
almost like hard to get the attention to these mahi.
You got to really get their attention and get your
(01:08:38):
baits pretty much right next to these schools of baits
that are passing by. It's almost like if your bait
isn't right on the edge of those schools, they're not
even going to pay attention to it. So that's a
tough one right now, is seeing these bait passing by.
But literally there's all sorts of bait passing by, a
lot of mullet pushed outside the inlet still, so obviously
(01:08:58):
it's a you know, into October November here, still got
all that passing around. And as we see, this moon's
getting a little bigger, so day by day here, this
moon's getting bigger. The wahoo runs about to be going
off here, and you could pick at a random one
here there all month. Right now, we've been seeing a few,
but I'll get a little more consistent coming this week
(01:09:18):
and next week with the moon getting a little bigger.
Speaker 5 (01:09:20):
Right now sounds good? Good?
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Does cool weather make you happy after there have been
a little cooler in the water, you guys feel good
out there fishing?
Speaker 39 (01:09:27):
Yeah, I mean, I don't mind the cool obviously, when
it's cold and you're out here in the water, it
could be miserable.
Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
If you get wet.
Speaker 39 (01:09:34):
But when it's you know, one hundred degrees in the summertime,
you always hear me say, don't let me complain about
the cold in the winter, because I can't stand this heat.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
So I'm not going to complain about the cold, that's
for sure. Man. We've been having a question with every
captain being the Halloween thing we're doing here. Have you
had any really super scary moment happened just when it
comes to your brain and all years of fishing, just
one really freaky scary thing that went down, do you think?
Speaker 39 (01:10:01):
I mean, there's a bunch of scary things that go down,
But when you say, Halloween scary and then boats scary.
Those are like two different scaries to me.
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
I just want to be back.
Speaker 5 (01:10:11):
I want to hear the boat here.
Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
We came up and almost grabbed your hand off off
a rod tip or so. I don't know, man, whatever.
Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
Any UFOs some weird video.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
Week going down?
Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
Can't be an ugly ex girlfriend? Okay?
Speaker 39 (01:10:26):
Oh man, I got lists of those, so yeah, I'll
x them out.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
Girlfriend's gonna be a real bad day anyway, Betty so
foremost is getting bigger. Wallhoo, bite may be popping real soon.
Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
What else?
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Jumpst in a full moon? It must be more just wahoo?
I mean, what else is gonna be?
Speaker 39 (01:10:44):
I mean, speaking of Halloween, they say the freaks come
out at night when the moon's getting bigger.
Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
So you know it's uh, we had time of the
month here.
Speaker 39 (01:10:52):
Joe's gonna be running wild too.
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
Wacko every day of the week.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Hey guys, we also we also have a time chain
coming up as well too.
Speaker 5 (01:11:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:11:01):
I hate that, man, got it? Oh that's going to
be to night huh.
Speaker 5 (01:11:04):
Yeah wait wait the time changes tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
I can't just stand that.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Benny, how's that affecting you?
Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
Is that good. That's good news, right like it?
Speaker 29 (01:11:15):
So, I mean, nah, for us, we like the other
time change.
Speaker 39 (01:11:17):
This time change, we're losing the hour of sunlight, you know,
when we change into the other. When we change from
what we're going into to the other time changes. When
we gain that hour and we start that time of
the year, we have so much sunlight we end up
doing three trips a day, sometimes on one boat. This
time change here only limits us to like nine to
ten hours of sunlight each day, so we're limited to
(01:11:39):
less trips.
Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
You know, I don't mind it. I don't mind it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
I like fall back, bring ahead, fall back.
Speaker 5 (01:11:46):
I mean, I got to admit I love it being
dark at like because.
Speaker 3 (01:11:49):
You love going at seven o'clock at night, because.
Speaker 5 (01:11:51):
I'm up at three and then I go to bed
at like eight.
Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
Oh my god, I do that.
Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Baron starts texting at midnight.
Speaker 4 (01:11:57):
I know, I get Eric's text that, like, we all
have our of life midnight in the morning anyway, Benny,
So just so you know, I've got you locked in
from November the eighth.
Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
I have some ice or on the sixth, and I
won't be able to being on set. Benny, my man,
Benny at Joe Show.
Speaker 39 (01:12:14):
Yeah, I already got breakfast plan for us and everything. Joe,
when is this?
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
When is this? I was gonna give you a heads up,
but November the eighth, November the eighth, that might be
in the studio. Okay, well, Joe Brandon Show, I'll be
watching you ready, fulling eyes man for that. God, So
that day he'd be like, okay, you're Joe. I'm looking
(01:12:41):
at the lock. You're eighteen minutes later the break Joe.
Speaker 5 (01:12:44):
Wow, Eric did a blow a gasket.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Oh god, I think we got to give him some notes.
The boy boy's got to get some basic notes.
Speaker 5 (01:12:53):
Yeah, I mean grace.
Speaker 39 (01:12:54):
So basically Eric's I just got to keep Joe in
line with time, right.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Yeah, I will be here on that brock either.
Speaker 5 (01:13:02):

Speaker 5 (01:13:09):

Speaker 3 (01:13:12):

Speaker 5 (01:13:16):

Speaker 2 (01:13:22):

Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
Welcome back to the show. It's the Halloween kind of
Craig Gray version of the program. Joe as the wolverine
me as the roadside work release guy picking up ten
cans his garbage for the stick. That's my whole outfit.
Orange is the Highway, Guys, Yeah, I like it none.
Vinny Sex, it's on the back of the shirt. Vitty
(01:18:03):
Sex had a pretty good week. I saw him bringing
some fish on the dock. So let's say, hey, man
on the on the yb normal. I love that boat
name and the colors green Man. We like money, honey green.
Speaker 17 (01:18:18):
Hey, Good morning fellas, Happy Halloween, Happy Halloween.
Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
Brother.
Speaker 3 (01:18:22):
This guy coins some new terms. I learned to warn
units from what he means by we know hang, they
mean something gigantic, large fish fish what you didn't know
about by the way I brought up on the program. Okay,
and blueberry, that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Would be very hard to figure out. Unit means a
large unit, Honjo.
Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Yeah, terribly hard. Blueberry tuna was the other one.
Speaker 5 (01:18:44):
Yes, blueberry tuna. I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
Well, he gave it tuna, not bubble be blueberry. Nuckle ahead, Vinnie,
how should week Ben let's get off point. Back to you, bro,
you're the man.
Speaker 17 (01:18:56):
Been super good, fished a lot, caught a bunch of
different things. Sailfish fights super good right now. It seems
like every trip I at least get a shot at
one or two. Just trolling, not even live baiting yet,
So that's good. Kingfish fight's been really good. Not big fish,
but you know, something to bend the rod, five to
ten pounds and afternoons a couple of black fin tuna.
(01:19:20):
So a little bit of everything going on right now.
Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
Man, one of the few guys change on light actually posting,
catches other guys very much as well.
Speaker 5 (01:19:28):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:19:28):
Yeah, Vinny, like everyone's telling us like it's pretty.
Speaker 3 (01:19:33):
Bad right now. Yeah, right, so that's great. Yeah, how
big of the blackfit?
Speaker 17 (01:19:40):
Not big ones, they like three to five pounds. It's
a little bit early, I think for them to really
be around. We usually see him like late December and
the afternoon's pretty good. But caught one that was maybe
ten pounds. Just nice to see him a little early.
Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
Okay, cool shot with a big moon coming up here. Video.
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
I'm thinking what we're back to chasing down wahoo again?
Possibly swordfish?
Speaker 17 (01:20:05):
Yeah, wahoo, swordfish for sure this week talking to Eric
earlier this week, and the sword fishing was off the
chain just before this front came. So ended up going
out in the afternoon and catch three for three in
about four hours.
Speaker 3 (01:20:22):
Talking about that, talk about that trip match. I was
telling you the thought he were dying. We're talking about that,
So I'm not a big fan of the whole thing. Yeah,
And they just were nailing these fish like rapids succession,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (01:20:35):
You got that word barely.
Speaker 3 (01:20:39):
Session anyway, so you're out their bed. You just dropped
down and got nailed pretty quicker.
Speaker 5 (01:20:44):
What, Yeah, they were.
Speaker 17 (01:20:47):
There was like no current out there was just kind
of rare for being way out there, and the wind
was out of the northwest, and just basically instead of
you know, driving to the north and letting it out
and then turning back south on it, we just dropped
it straight down because there was no current, and it
was like as fast as you could hit the bottom
within ten minutes you would at least get a bite.
(01:21:08):
So we had a fun time. We just went in
the afternoon, like I said, it was like and then
we left at eleven o'clock and we fished till like
three o'clock caught three for three, so two week Captain one, we.
Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
Let go no, see, Joe, that's what kind of you imagine?
I mean, within ten minutes I would say that bunch
before with like Danny Romos, you capt Danny Rambos night
hours without a tippy tippy tap tap.
Speaker 5 (01:21:31):
Not a and VIDI goes out and within.
Speaker 3 (01:21:34):
Ten minutes I'm talking a fish bit in another ten minutes,
another one bites a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
Unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
He's got skills.
Speaker 5 (01:21:41):
How big were they.
Speaker 6 (01:21:44):
Around?
Speaker 17 (01:21:44):
Like ninety pounds? I think the biggest one was like
sixty two short length, so nice fish, you know, perfect
one to eat.
Speaker 5 (01:21:51):
Okay, Landable?
Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Oh yeah, And he was saying that, he said the
bait that he used to he said they would have
hit like a screw or a screwdriver. They were just
ready to up on anything.
Speaker 5 (01:22:00):
Man. Wow, man, they were showing huh shoeing man.
Speaker 6 (01:22:03):
Yeah, yeah, you could have.
Speaker 17 (01:22:05):
You could have dropped the shoelace soaked in any kind
of min hate and oil and they pop. It would
have hit it. They're so hungry.
Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
That's right. You dropped out an old rotten shoe, they
would have nailed it.
Speaker 6 (01:22:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
He has various ways to catch those fish. So very
cool catcher. That's nice catch those sorties.
Speaker 5 (01:22:20):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
Seriously, you guys head out today or you stayed on
close to the dockor what.
Speaker 17 (01:22:24):
Do you do it now? Now we've got a three
quarter day this morning, probably try to mess around with
those kinkfish and then we'll try to maybe get that
sale fish.
Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
Cool. Last question for you asking all of our captives, have
you had one scary moment all your decades of fishing,
one really freaky scary Halloween thing, tight end, scary weird
moment happened to you and your fishing days.
Speaker 17 (01:22:50):
I mean a couple couple of years ago, we were
shark fishing and we ended up catching sandbar shark and
we got it near the boat, and you know, we
were talking to the people about it and stuff like that,
and the sandbar sharks started freaking out and I was wondering,
what's going on. I looked behind the boat and there
was like a five hundred pound maco trying to eat it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
What man try to eat the shark?
Speaker 17 (01:23:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:23:15):
Wow, they had five hundred pounds makeos make and they're beautiful,
they're like purple, oh gorgeously, And they got the black
Eyes the makeo Oh my gosh. Yeah, we catch them
in Jersey or all the time.
Speaker 5 (01:23:28):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Yeah, you can eat them. You know, that's a edible makeup.
They're not bad, They're great. Yeah, rightful.
Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
They also make boats too.
Speaker 5 (01:23:37):
Yeah I had one.
Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Okay, that's a pretty freaky story. Wow, yeah, good story.
Speaker 5 (01:23:43):
Do you guys try to kill it?
Speaker 17 (01:23:46):
Well, we ended up pitching to make a black fin
tuna and we hooked it and we thought it for
like three hours, and eventually the wire war threw a
jump like ten times. That was pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
Yeah, that's right. macOS like the like the sore near
man up and get airborne.
Speaker 5 (01:24:01):
Yeah, they're an amazing show.
Speaker 3 (01:24:02):
Yeah, why Ben, Vinny, thanks so much, brother man to
get the fish on the y B normal, give us
that y B call to make thanks Vinny.
Speaker 17 (01:24:10):
Yeah, you can call its direct nine five four five,
or you get booked online at Fort Lauderdale Sport Fishing
dot com.
Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
All right, man, thanks so much, Vinnie, Thanks Vannie.
Speaker 5 (01:24:21):
I was always brother.
Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
You always bring us strong.
Speaker 5 (01:24:23):
Seriously, guys, have a good one.
Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
Great stuff to our happy guy man, Johnny.
Speaker 5 (01:24:28):
Here's Bill.
Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
Oh yeah, let's see what he's doing. Joe. Yeah, Johnny.
What's up, buddy boy?
Speaker 13 (01:24:34):
Good?
Speaker 5 (01:24:34):
Good morning, Johnny. How are you? How are you? Johnny?
Speaker 34 (01:24:37):
Good morning guys. You know, it's just a beautiful morning.
Well down in QS it is. I'm still down in
QS and uh, you know, it's uh, it's kind of
been a great week to get away from from fishing,
just because it's been so stinking windy and now it's cold,
and I'm just glad to just be not this week,
(01:25:01):
which is rare. Normally I'm itching out of my skin
to go fishing. But it's been nice, just just you know,
working on this boat down here. I did do some
going around for you guys last night. That's got some
good lowdown stuff on some fishing. The guys that did
brave the weather and the wind to go. I actually
(01:25:21):
had really great trips this week, most most of them
being on Lake Ida. As the water down in the
Everglades it's still very high. The lake Eye to Chain
is usually this time of the year, very nice backup
place to fish and lots of peacocks, lots of clown
(01:25:43):
knife fish, and even a few good snakeheads. And Lake
Ida is the Lake Eye to Chain was never a
place that really held snakeheads. It was just like, you know,
maybe like five or six years ago we started seeing
the first up on there, and you know, now it's
(01:26:04):
maybe like six or seven years ago we saw the
first couple ones, but now you see all of all
of them. I mean you see a ton of them
on there. So it's nice, it's it's it just adds
to the trip, you know. You can. We call it
the Lake Eyeda Slam, which used to be a large mouth,
a peacock, and a clown knife fish, but now you
(01:26:27):
get the exotic slam, which is a peacock, a snaked
and a clown knife fish. So a lot of people
like to come down and try to do that all
on one day. And it's very doable this time of
the year, in and out of these cold fronts. If
you can get on that free front bite, I mean,
you're gonna just have a phenomenal day.
Speaker 3 (01:26:46):
Catfish at Lake either.
Speaker 34 (01:26:47):
Yeah, oh yeah, I've caught a bunch of them, you know,
not not real recently, but in the last couple of years,
I actually caught a blue cat that was fifteen pounds kidding.
Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
Wow, dude, that's a fish that you've never talked about.
Lake guid is a fact that catfish are there. You
know what, I'm a catfish eating lover. I love I
love catfish, man really fried catfish, a big old catfish, catfish,
hush puppies, Come on, Johnny, format that's a great meal.
Speaker 34 (01:27:18):
When I'm in the South, and I'm not talking about
South Florida, but I'm talking about north of South Florida,
I will eat catfish because the Southern people they know
how to do it.
Speaker 5 (01:27:28):
Right now.
Speaker 34 (01:27:30):
Lake Ida people don't. People don't call me to go
catfishing because we just don't catch that many of them.
But you know they are there.
Speaker 22 (01:27:40):
You know it.
Speaker 34 (01:27:40):
We'll be soaking bates for a clown knife fish or whatever,
and all of a sudden we'll be like, wow, this
is gonna be a really big clown knife fish or
a catfish shows up, a catfish.
Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
You don't really release those fish, Johnny, or you keep
one maybe for a little table fair. I won't.
Speaker 34 (01:27:58):
I don't like to eat fish out of Lake Ida.
You know, South Florida has this obsession, this addiction to
to spraying pesticides.
Speaker 6 (01:28:07):
And uh yeah.
Speaker 34 (01:28:09):
You know, and I'm just not all all about that life.
Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
So but I will say if you go to Alabama,
South Carolina, Georgia, those kind of places, and he's been.
Speaker 5 (01:28:18):
There, Joe.
Speaker 3 (01:28:19):
Yeah, they do catfish the right way.
Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
There's a special breading on it, and this fry just right.
It's not greasy, it's just it's amazing fish.
Speaker 5 (01:28:27):
Man. I love it.
Speaker 4 (01:28:28):
And I will say there are because I've I've caught
one and lost an even bigger one redtail catfish here,
and I've seen guys with shovel nose catfish here as well.
Speaker 3 (01:28:40):
Yeah. I thought you've been wrestling that fish for quite
a few years. On the story on the shell.
Speaker 5 (01:28:44):
Yeah, well I caught one.
Speaker 4 (01:28:46):
I caught the smaller one, but I had, Johnny, I
had a monster redtail and it just.
Speaker 5 (01:28:52):
Slowly continue on with that story forever.
Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
I'm just not even you know what. I can't because
I just I get so rouled up from it. Johnny,
you're having a thing on the show. It's a Halloween
weekend program asking all the captains this one last question.
Anything happened in your fishing career on the water, the scariest,
some kind of scary moment ever happened to you? Weird?
Speaker 34 (01:29:13):
You know, I'd say being hooked in the face, is
probably one of the scarier.
Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
Moments that show. Yeah, that show real. Well, so Lord,
we tell that story. So the Lord goes to the tree, right,
and you do what to retrieve that thing?
Speaker 5 (01:29:28):
What happened to you?
Speaker 34 (01:29:29):
Well, you know, you just shake your odsip a little
bit and hope that it's going to come loose, and
you know, after a little while of shaking it doesn't
come out. You're going to shake a little harder, and
then you know, you're basically by the time you're almost
at your wits end before you break off, you are
basically like trying to either break your rod or break
(01:29:51):
the tree, and all of a sudden, that thing let
loose and shot like a bullet right into my face.
Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
No, the freakiest part is the fact I saw the
video right, He's walking around and he's at this hook
right in his cheek and wherever that was your lip,
Johnny was cheap and he flags out some guy like,
hey man, can you help me out here? Can you
get this hook out of my face? It's a random stranger.
Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
No, But the thing that was really messed up is
he looked like the most painful thing in the world,
the hooks all in his face.
Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
And everything.
Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
But he's like, don't forget to check website.
Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
I'm like, oh my goshat, you.
Speaker 34 (01:30:33):
Have to say the pitch, even in your most dire moment.
Speaker 2 (01:30:37):
If this was thinking, he'd be doing the same thing.
Speaker 34 (01:30:41):
If if it wasn't for that guy with the pull
string the lawnmower pulsterring to help me pull those hooks out,
I would have been driving myself to the hospital in
the middle of West Virginia or in the middle of Virginia.
Speaker 5 (01:30:59):
How bad did that hurt?
Speaker 34 (01:31:00):
Honestly, it hurts so bad at first, and then the
adrenaline kicks in and it kind of goes away. But
the next three days I couldn't even eat it was
so bad.
Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
Oh yeah, man's that's the story that's probably topped everybody
so far, maybe except Vinnie's Mako. That ate the you
love it shorte shark.
Speaker 5 (01:31:21):
That's pretty that that's insane.
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
Grab that shark is pretty wild, man, Johnny, have a
great weekend down the case, back and back and get
back back to your home water soon and go catch
your catfish while thanks Johnny gets catfish or too.
Speaker 34 (01:31:36):
All right, guys, have a good one.
Speaker 3 (01:31:37):
I see uh take at breaking back to see what
just got with this forecast? How long at me last?
Joe yep, I mean I'm so bumped down.
Speaker 5 (01:31:43):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
We're losing daylight savings time back to the novel five
o'clock darkness. Now tonight we've seven o'clocks back an hour. Yeah, yeah,
I don't like that, man. Yeah, whatever, take a break,

It's a lovely day here in South Old of Jennifer
Gray Warren. She told us last weekend to expect this
because every time she speaks about it, it's always the truth.
Happens exactly when and where and how. She says, Yes,
she just has the technology, the training, and the foresight
and the good cheet sheet to bring this stuff to me.
Speaker 5 (01:35:51):
If she was an X men, she'd be Jean Gray.
Speaker 3 (01:35:54):
If she could see you, she'd be skeered away. Probably, Ah,
Jack good one too, Hijien.
Speaker 43 (01:36:01):
Do you guys give me way too much credit?
Speaker 34 (01:36:03):
That's for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
No, you know what you'd be talking about?
Speaker 5 (01:36:06):
Retire.
Speaker 3 (01:36:07):
How is Halloween for Cooper Kating to go at tricker
treating last night.
Speaker 29 (01:36:11):
Oh they went trigor treating.
Speaker 43 (01:36:13):
We have way too much candy in this house. We
had a grim reaper and a person that looks like
he was being eaten by a shark.
Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
That was her outfits. No kidding, that's pretty creative.
Speaker 43 (01:36:23):
Yeah, yeah, it was interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
Was mom dressed up as a as a costume with
some kind of have their.
Speaker 43 (01:36:30):
Little Yeah, So every year I wear my mother's old
she was a witch every year, so I wear her
witch costume. And what she did every Halloween and now
I'm carrying out the tradition is she would make a
big part of kool aid and put dry ice in
it and call it her witches brew because it's like.
Speaker 13 (01:36:47):
All smoking and stuff.
Speaker 43 (01:36:49):
And so we meet the kids when they get off
the bus we do witches brew and then for Halloween,
I'll serve it to the trigger treaters.
Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
It's cool dressed up and something as well.
Speaker 43 (01:37:00):
All that he was a pumpkin.
Speaker 5 (01:37:02):
Yeah, he was ampkin.
Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
So the family used the whole helloweeny thing like Jerk's
a pumpkin right now, h thank you very much. So
dressed like what did Joe's addressed to the wolverine thing.
Speaker 5 (01:37:10):
So jed you got to see my wolverine.
Speaker 3 (01:37:12):
You have to see it. Yeah, so Jennison's size and dippy.
This morning's a nice cool front here in town. It
finally hit and we're enjoining it here. It's nice. Yeah.
Speaker 43 (01:37:22):
Oh my gosh, you guys have the best weekend ahead.
You have mostly sunny Skuys Today Hier seventy nine northeast
winds five to ten sees two to three feet. Inner
coastal water is a light chop. Sunday, twenty percent chance
of showers, mostly sunny, hi near eighty two northeast winds
around ten not sees are two feet inner coastal water
(01:37:42):
is a light chop. And then in the Keys today
partly sunny. Hire seventy eight northeast winds ten to fifteen
sees one to two feet near shore water is a
light to moderate chop. On Sundays, light chase of showers,
mostly sunny. Heer eighty northeast winds ten to fifteen sees
one to two feet near shore water's a light to
moderate chop. And then in Florida Bay today, northeast winds
(01:38:04):
ten to fifteen Bay waters a light to moderate chop.
Isolated showers and then tomorrow northeast east winds ten to fifteen.
Bay water's light to moderate chop and isolated towers. I
feel like this is the best weekend you guys have
had a really long time.
Speaker 3 (01:38:17):
It really is also the weekend of the boat show.
I'm doing it another two days today tomorrow wraps it up,
so those folks are hanging to hem are the outside
show and the water Joe. Yeah, I could have a
great deal out there for sure, of course.
Speaker 5 (01:38:28):
Yeah, it's great. How long will this thing? Last word?
Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
Gend know, a couple of days? How long is it
gonna be? Yeah?
Speaker 43 (01:38:33):
You know, you always warm up eventually, so I would
give it about two or three days and then it'll
most likely warm up.
Speaker 5 (01:38:39):
For you guys. That's great. This is a great cold.
Speaker 2 (01:38:43):
Front, Jen, Is there a word about possibly an even
colder cold front coming down in a week from now?
Speaker 1 (01:38:49):
What?
Speaker 5 (01:38:50):
A week?
Speaker 43 (01:38:51):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:38:52):
Interesting?
Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
I always had something possibly about that. I don't know
if you you haven't advance on that yet.
Speaker 43 (01:38:57):
Yeah, so you're you're kind of in the low eighties
for the most part all week. I don't see another
dip really yet, but you never know. We'll just keep
watching it and see you do take a dip into
the mid sixties, like Tuesday mornings. Even nice morning, Ben,
But I don't see anything really colder than that.
Speaker 3 (01:39:17):
When Jen says it's coming, I'll believe it is the
only girl I believe in. Whether it's her, we know, Eric. Okay,
thank you, Jennifer Gray. Won't have a great weekend with
the kids, and enjoy all that candy. I'm sure we
can't even breakfast. Candy for lunch, candy for dinner. Just
melted it into one big schlock pot.
Speaker 43 (01:39:32):
There, exactly, exactly have a good.
Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
One, thanks Jen.
Speaker 25 (01:39:38):
Jen.
Speaker 3 (01:39:38):
Let's go to the keys there, Joey. It fantasy fest
thing going on?
Speaker 5 (01:39:44):
Oh yeah, your thing used to go there for years.
I remember you told me that one story about that
guy and there.
Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
Was something going on radio station promotions.
Speaker 5 (01:39:53):
Sorry, sorry, God Almighty, I had to go over the.
Speaker 3 (01:39:57):
Finn. Yeah, yeah, spend over.
Speaker 5 (01:40:02):
All.
Speaker 3 (01:40:02):
Right, let's shrend it around the corner here and see
what the skip brading's do right now?
Speaker 5 (01:40:06):
Skiff skiff?
Speaker 3 (01:40:07):
What's that?
Speaker 5 (01:40:07):
Buddy boy?
Speaker 35 (01:40:08):
Hey, I'll tell you what I'm saying. I'm at the
gym right now, getting ready, grin. I'm looking at the
temperature says seventy degrees of my truck. And I waited
for this all fall now and this is this will
end the h factor for us. This is it, I said, man,
come on one call for I like this water tempta
is going to come down a little bit more and
we're we're gonna be in beautiful shape. My favorite time
of year. Not so much business wise. It's a little
(01:40:30):
slow here in the Florida Keys. I don't know about
the boys up north, but it's slow in the Florida Keys.
I only got that one day this week was Monday,
and boy, I'll tell you what. We caught twenty yellow
tail swall But anyway, we caught those and then we
put the kite out. Caught a double hatter or my
heat about seven eight crounded and that was enough. So
we went out and we said, let's hit a couple
of rex ands up. We put a bait down and
(01:40:52):
we put three baits up, a cigar middles the live value,
and boy, we got attacked with it by this kind.
Speaker 5 (01:40:57):
Of my heat.
Speaker 35 (01:40:58):
That's by We caught seven of them, are hitting on
different wrecks, no bites on the bottom. But we caught
seventeen mahi just hid with a box full of fish.
We had between twenty yellow tail and seventeen I'm talking
these fish five to twelve pounds, so boy, it was
really really good right in one hundred and fifty foot
of water. So it's not like we had to run
off shore like Jude of fifteen twenty miles of fish
right up on the edge. The black fin tuna, the
(01:41:21):
black fin tuna are not nothing like they were a
couple of weeks ago. Want to mention there are some
black friends out there, but that fighting like that. And
another thing about the mahi, there was no indication.
Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
There was no birds.
Speaker 35 (01:41:31):
Brian Cone called me in on a final four fish
record of boo five gallon bucket and they were a
beautiful size, but we already had enough of them, but
we caught four more of them. But anyway, that's it.
It's not a lot of business. And I can say
that if you go out there looking to target to mahi,
you've just got to get lucky and they run across
because there's not any indication of them unless you find
a matrical piece of debris that I could chase. But
(01:41:53):
it was a wonderful bite of fish, that's all I
can tell you Skip a Bush show.
Speaker 3 (01:41:57):
I had a gentleman walk up to me and he
recognized my voice and we talked about the shop and
loves the whole program. But he brought up one person
in particular, Joe who he goes. I love that guy, Skip,
Ray Dean and the Keys. I just love he's the best.
So you have a fan at the boat show, Skip
who knows about you and just was just going off
about how great you are a program. Buddy boy, it's
(01:42:18):
great to hear.
Speaker 35 (01:42:19):
I tell you I probably had a lot of friends
of the boat show. I haven't been a loaded deal
both show in such a while, but I'll tell you
probably when I go in there with the one in Almarad.
I mean, I'm sorry that went in Miami. I feel
like it's all home week. I mean, so many great
people I haven't seen over the years. The only time
I get in contact anymore is when I go to
the boat show. But anyway, child, I was rather successful
(01:42:40):
up there. Were you involved in all that?
Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
Eric, I've been there for the last three days. I
got two more to go today and tomorrow, and I'm
finally off the chain gang.
Speaker 35 (01:42:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:42:49):
Anyway, e skipping bass christs Halloween weekend? Man, right, have
you had one moment in your decades of fishing there
was one scary, weird, freaky, scary thing ever happened to
you on a water?
Speaker 35 (01:43:02):
Oh boy, fifty seven, thirty five years, I'm still fishing.
Speaker 6 (01:43:06):
When am I saying?
Speaker 5 (01:43:07):
Anyway?
Speaker 35 (01:43:07):
Fifty five years doing it a lot of days a year.
I'm trying to think.
Speaker 6 (01:43:11):
I guess the I guess.
Speaker 35 (01:43:13):
The only thing is when I had my first boat,
the blue Chip of forty two foot Carolina boat, we
had a tornado come across the boat and ripped the tower.
Speaker 16 (01:43:22):
Now I have a tower in that boat.
Speaker 35 (01:43:23):
The brevity top off the boat and broke the antenna
when it blew off. And that was the most severe
thing we ever had over there. I can't mention a
few times in the lawn for the water went off
in the drat. It's always scary for any charter bo captive.
Speaker 5 (01:43:35):
But it's up to you to figure that that.
Speaker 6 (01:43:37):
Partly the scarier.
Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
Yeahoe, that's pretty fazy. Yeah, that's wow, skiff.
Speaker 2 (01:43:45):
You being down in the keys and a lot of
alcohol involved and being close to que, have you ever
seen any unusual vessels or flying things in that area.
Speaker 6 (01:43:57):
Uh, what do you mean by that? Go on and
flying things? What that means?
Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
I mean, you know things that fly or unusual boats like.
Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
U u u ufo.
Speaker 35 (01:44:09):
Oh oh, I got just know I would. I was saying,
you got me thinker right now. I don't think I
remember any UFO is going through the sky. But then
I'm not saying they're not out there. Some people say
they definitely exist, but I'm not. I haven't seen it,
so you can't put me in that calm and all
I have. I know nothing about UFO.
Speaker 2 (01:44:29):
You know nothing, all right, all uf.
Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
You got a lot of fans are in the show.
We're glad you're a new captain of the program. Back

Speaker 5 (01:44:43):

Speaker 35 (01:44:45):

fighting the current.
Speaker 29 (01:50:14):
That's kind into how it works.
Speaker 3 (01:50:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 46 (01:50:15):
So underneath your board is a flush built in brushless motor,
and the way you control it is actually on your paddle.
Speaker 44 (01:50:22):
I love how on the remote you have three different speeds.
Speaker 46 (01:50:25):
It's so conveniently placed by the handle on your paddle.
Speaker 45 (01:50:28):
And get this, you can even take it off to
wear the remote on your wrist.
Speaker 33 (01:50:31):
Yeah, it's awesome.
Speaker 29 (01:50:33):
This kind of board is totally meant for me.
Speaker 46 (01:50:35):
Aka the paddle you're gonna to little extra push to
go a little further, Like you know, when you're paddling
against the sun.
Speaker 3 (01:50:42):
And you feel like you're going nowhere.
Speaker 27 (01:50:44):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 45 (01:50:44):
Yes, or when you're wiped from paddling for too long.
Speaker 13 (01:50:48):
That's the time what I'd be turning on.
Speaker 37 (01:50:50):
The paddle assists.
Speaker 6 (01:50:51):
I'm up for sure.
Speaker 46 (01:50:52):
And also for beginners, it's such a great board. It's
eleven six in length and thirty two point five inches wide.
With the ace tech technology, it makes it so much lighter,
only weighing forty two pounds. It's super stable and all
around just a great board.
Speaker 13 (01:51:08):
