Speaker 1 (00:01):
To the ninety six one Kiss Morning freak Shill with
the first pick in the first round. I'm miking Bob
Draft Mike and Bob select coffee. Coffee. Crowd goes wild, Wild,
crowd goes crazy. Everybody loves coffee. Starting to feel that
buzz huh, starting to it's starting to be real that
(00:21):
there's something happened. Yeah, yeah, right, Yeah. It feels like
the football world is uh is descending upon Pittsburgh today.
There's gonna be a lot of people coming in town today,
obviously for the NFL Draft, which first round kicks off tomorrow. Man,
It's it's been a build for a couple of years,
and I think today is the day where it's like,
(00:42):
all right, we put our best foot forward here Pittsburgh,
and this is the day where a lot of the
out of towners that are coming in for the draft
or anything this weekend. You know, obviously there's been a
lot of setup and there's been people in town, but
this is the day I think where the even like
the focus of the the sports world sort of is
(01:02):
uh is just here in Pittsburgh for the NFL Draft.
Local media got to go in yesterday and like you know,
tour around the draft site. That stage is awesome. Yeah,
stage is awesome. You see they got the bridges. They
got like yellow bridges behind the stage and on the
side of the stage. And it's just so Pittsburgh. Man,
its just it's it's got to make you proud. And yeah,
(01:24):
I think there was a lot of nerves for this
and everything and a lot of all. We got a
red up and oh where we're gonna park, where the
car is gonna go. I think at the end of
the day, though, we're really gonna realize looking back on it,
how cool this weekend, this week is is going to
be for Pittsburgh, and we've never had an event like this.
(01:45):
I feel like in the in the history of the city.
You know, millions and millions of people watching. Yeah, they're
gonna pan to the city skyline, the Fountain stage. All
your boys are, Your boys are high, Your boys are Hey,
Penguin's got a hockey game today too. They No, we're
not that must win yet because it's pretty close.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Win four th off.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
I got win four if they want to advance, it's
an important one. It's very important. Tonight, of course, we'll
get you ready for Penguins Flyers Stanley Cup playoff game
tonight also got a chance for he had a win
a thousand dollars. This morning around nine ten, it's Mikey
and Bob Kiss. I guess I'm the one to blame.
I guess I'm the one who screwed up earlier this week.
(02:31):
I guess I'm the reason that the Penguins are down
two games and nothing going to Philly to play the
Flyers tonight. It's Mikey and Bob the Kiss Morning Freak Show.
All I said on the show earlier this week after
they lost Game two was that if they lose the
next two, they don't get another home game.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, you know it's.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Very possible that that could have been the last home
game played this year. Why do you keep no, I'm
not saying, I'm saying this is what I said earlier
this week, and it's still means a fact. But all right,
let me get to this talkback message brought to us
by one team Media Boys.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
So question, I just got the notification, Bob, Did you
get the notification? Because I did the ESPN notification that
said the Penguins are blaming Mikey okay for the two
and l losing streak right now, because I got that notification.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Okay, right, yeah, no, it's not Bob's birthday. These birthday
is January first.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Did muse call you out yesterday? I don't know. All right,
let's get to another.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Message, Mike, Are you kidding me? O? Jeez? All right?
Speaker 2 (03:36):
What do you want now?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
What I didn't do any kidding? Are you kidding me?
Pittsburgh as a bone to pick with you? You use
your foresight, your special powers. I don't have special powers.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
To predict the future to come up with anything better
than penguins are going to get.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Okay, all right, listen, I did not say on the.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Show, can't use your power for good with the love
I have for the city and the Pittsburgh Penguins. I
did not say you got special power.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Well, I think the Penguins are gonna get bleep and swept.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
I never said that.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I just said if they lose four games, they don't
get play another one at home. Okay, okay, all right?
Why does everybody think it's a punishment for me if
you keep wishing?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
But I mean, it is annoying.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
It does need to stop. But yeah, you can't blame
me for the Penguins loss. I did not say they
were gonna lose. I just stated a sad say. And
then now I'm just getting hit with Okay, well, if
you're gonna do that to the pants, then we're gonna
wish Bob happy birthday all day, even though his birthday
is January.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
First, Mikey and Bob Podcast.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
I cannot believe that yesterday me and Bob missed our
opportunity to drive in a giant eagle massive shopping cart
through the Fort Pitt Tunnel. Did you see that? My god, dude,
a giant, big, giant eagle bucket just unreal drivable. The
(05:27):
first the first video I saw that it was sitting
in a parking lot and I'm like, all right, cool,
kind of cool. They pulled it up in a parking
lot and they're just gonna get some pictures and video. Yeah,
probably unloaded it from a trailer, man. I love. The
next video I saw was going through the tunnels on
the street.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I love Draft Week.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
There were guys in the cart.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
I know, And then we got an email that was like.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Hey, this is where the cart's at. You know, like
that we were but it was too late, like we
were already gone. Oh man, we could have rode in
the buggy.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
We could have got Maybe we can find it tonight. Man. Wow,
it's gonna be like roller coaster low where we don't fit.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Oh I could be it, dude, I see, I don't know.
I don't even think I need a ladder. I think
I'm one of the few that can just climb right
in the giant shopping cart one leg. Here's another thing
about the Draft. I love the like ancillary stuff that's
happening around the Draft. That's just like this stuff like
coming through the tunnel yesterday. You look over there is
a giant eagle shopping cart being driven through the tunnel.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Not happen on a regular day here in Pittsburgh. Uh
huh should though. Brett Keesel's at Walmart this morning.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Anybody want to go see Keesel this morning Robinson Walmart Steelers.
Letgend Brett Keesel tenay am the noon. Keesl's at Walmart
if you want to check in with him. Why it's
Draft week, baby, Walmart at Robinson Walmart, don't be here
ten to noon. Nelly's playing tonight, dude. This is just
I'm drunk off Draft week. I am I'm drunk off
(06:56):
Draft Week. You mean to tell me we get a
massive giant Eagle shopping cart? Were your Brett keysl Walmart?
And Nelly? Nelly's gonna be performed at the plaza there
at the north Shore six pm. Our old friend Heinz
Ward is in town two. He's in town for the
giant Eagle shopping cart.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, he's got the cart with him out there.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
He's gonna be hines Ward, you know, Steeler's legend is
gonna be with Heinz ketchup at Giant Eagle Settler's Ridge
six to seven tonight with the Giant Eagle Giant buggy.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
So go see Hines tonight, Hines and the Giant Buggy.
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
That's special.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Me and Bob have been debating because you know, obviously
we used to have hines Ward on the show all
the time when he was playing and everything, and you
know we kind of, you know, lost contact with him
when he stopped playing and living here in Pittsburgh. We
should just text him this morning and be like, hey,
is this still your number?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Well't come on the show. They ain't talk about giant shopping.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Carts, oh Man, Draft Week a nice early ah draft
week is here.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Text to Hines just like this, still you Heines?
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Ward, Hey, I heard you gotta be j litle buggy
tonight you come on and shore and talk about it, dude. Drafting.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
By the way, we do have a list of some
more of the uh ancillary things.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Yes, they're so much like the giant pop tart murder
that's gonna take place on Friday. So we will get
to a list of some of that stuff coming up
around seven forty On the Kiss Morning Freak Show. It's
Mikey and Bob, the Mikey and Bob Podcast. I love
this city so much, yep, I love this city so much.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
I love it so much.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Ring the Mikey and Bob Podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
you get your podcasts. Hey, thank you for listening to
our Mikey and Bob podcast. Now whatever you're listening on,
we appreciate it. Thank you, yep. But if you're listening
on our free iHeartRadio app, you can hit that little
talkback microphone send us a message. You can send us
(08:54):
a message about previous shows, the latest show, something you
want us to cover on the show. Let us know
where you're.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Listening from two. Oh yeah, that's fun too, right, people
of random places.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, I hit that little talkback microphone and you can
send us a message and maybe you'll make the show.
You know, one thing that Pittsburghers yinsers don't like is
is change. Obviously we have we have trouble with change
(09:28):
in this area.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Right. Yeah, So when you see things you.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Know that are happening now and are gonna happen for
the next few days regarding the NFL Draft, don't freak out. Okay,
just don't freak out things. We'll go back to normal
in a few days. All right, Let's get to this
talkback message brought to us by the Pavement Group. It's
Mikey and Bob Kiss morning freak show.
Speaker 7 (09:49):
Boy down here.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Whoabody watch out? We're not here. It comes from Bikes.
Security is stepped up for the NFL Draft. We got
tops bikes.
Speaker 8 (10:03):
He really got out all the forces draft.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
What's going on.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Like bicycle, not the.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Motorcycle, not even motorcycles. We're not talking bike copsycle cops
on bike. I mean, yeah, there's there's bike cops. There
might be more now for the draft though, and they're everywhere.
You might be seeing them for the first time, like
they're not usually down her area.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I just love it. All right, let's go all the
way to Hawaii. I love love this wonderful.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Listener who listens on the iHeartRadio app all the way
in Hawaii. She listens to the podcast uh to get
this talk back mass.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
Bob, it's just in Hawaii. Put on your podcast, you know,
catch back up. And of course I catch the part
where yinster Domis was making his unfortunate predictions, and I.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Thought, okay, well, Mikey is definitely gonna get blamed for this.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
I did get blamed for the Penguins losing Game two
to their series against the Flyers. Of course Game three
tonight in Philadelphia. I didn't make any I did make
any predictions. All I said was anything, if the Penguins
lose four games, they only get two at home, and
they've already played those. So if they lose the next two,
there's no more home games than the season's over. Saying
(11:19):
anything that's not fact, I didn't say I predict all right,
that's all you said. I need to settle down here.
It's draft week, all right, What else, Jess?
Speaker 7 (11:26):
I don't know if this would help.
Speaker 8 (11:27):
But I feel like I remember when the Penns went
Back to Back. I was living here by that time,
and I really feel like.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
I remember a lot of stone cold Sidney Crosby.
Speaker 8 (11:39):
Kids during that play. Are that Stanley Cup run good time?
Maybe we need that, Maybe some stone cold Sidney Crosby.
Maybe go listen to it and get fired off.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
All right, have a good day.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Happy birthday again, Bob. No, Bob's birthday is January first,
It's not today. Yeah, in previous years, we have, you know,
played like the stone cold Steve Austin Entrance music. And
because Sidney Crosby is such a nice man, he's such
a you know, never a controversy and you know, very
prim and proper, and he's just a hockey robot. So
(12:09):
sometimes we would play a stone cold music and we
would sort of yell at Sidney Crosby, like this is
what he really wants to say. But people don't like
when we get too excited and yell. So that's what
we've been told. They did a big research project on
our show. It says we yelled too much. O yelling
when people say that we yelled too much on our
(12:31):
show because like sometimes we'll get that in the comments.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
We post a video somewhere or something.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Sorry for having a good time, and it makes it
outside of Pittsburgh and be like why are they yelling
so much? And I have like a cut and paste response.
It's just like, Hey, first time seeing the show. Cool,
this is my best friend I've known since eight years old.
If you got to work with your best friend every day,
you might laugh, you might get a little lot of control,
your voice might get a little loud because you're having
a damn good time, you know what. So No Stone
(12:59):
could sny Crosby might be done forever because we were
told through research projects that people do not like us yelling,
so we might need to tone the show down a
little bit. Okay, coming up next on the show. Well,
speaking of the NFL Draft, me and Bob just listened
to these in here. We will take you back to
the Steelers Facebook comments when they drafted pit quarterback Kenny Pickett.
(13:24):
Do they stand the test of time? Some of them
walk a round? No they do not. Amazing Kiss Morning,
Freak Shows, Mike, you Bob. Even though the first round
of the NFL Draft is of course tomorrow night, there
are events happening today. I know. After the show today,
(13:46):
me and Bob are headed down to Oakland to see
our buddy John Geiger.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
He's doing like a.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Pop up that's open to the public tomorrow, righte Bob
down there by Forbes. Yeah, and then and then tonight
we're going to the Pat McAfee's throwing a thing at
the Science Center. We have no idea who is going
to be there, We have no idea.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I'm not even sure how to dress for it. But
the public.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
By the way, no, I don't even know who's gonna
be there, but it should be a pretty cool event
because they're showing that Football Life movie that's like an
hour long about Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania and all the
football ties. So Pat wanted to show a bunch of
the media coming into town and friends. You know, hey,
before you go on your shows and talk about Pittsburgh,
let's show you that, basically, a little taste we invented football,
(14:30):
a little taste of football. Here it is right around
seven o'clock. Time to get to you today in Freak
Show history, take you back to a moment in the
show that made us laugh, made us smile. I will
tell you today, we are going to take you back
to Kenny Pickett Steelers draft facebook comments. This was a
few years ago when the Steelers pick pit quarterback Kenny
Pickett in the first round. Let's go back and revisit
(14:51):
those Facebook comments today. These are Steelers Facebook comments after
they draft pit quarterback Kenny Pickett in the first round
with the twentieth overall pick, Chris B. Dan Rooney is
(15:14):
fist pumping in his grave. Finally got his pitman. Okay,
hold on, I gotta call a quick time out after
one comment pump. We usually we usually get the Dan
Rooney is rolling over in his grave because he's so
upset about how the Steelers have been run since he passed.
But for the first time ever, we have a Dan
(15:37):
Rooney is fist pumping in his grave. I was not
expecting that. I'm pretty sure it's not possible. Also not possible. Yes,
gen Z here, watch out, Joe Burdo. There's a new
sheriff in the AFC North. Yes, that's Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow,
who was just called in the Steelers Facebook comments, Joe Burdo.
(16:00):
And there's also a new sheriff in the AFC Nord
watch out, Joe Burdo, Susann g bring back Duck.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I still have his shirt.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
I mean, come on, come on here, Hodges, William L Here,
Mason Rudolph Junior, come on? What are we doing here? Huh?
How are we there already? Stephen P. Bobby Brister of
the twenty first Century Ladies and Gentlemen. Steelers Facebook comments
after they draft Kenny Pickett Derek H. Kenny Pickett is
(16:31):
a stud. He's deadly accurate, very athletic, has a tremendous
work ethic. Kenny's gonna grab his lunch pail and go
to work hard every day. Oh man, oh man, let's go.
I'm hi, Kenny Pickett's grabbing his lunch pail. Kenny, I
didn't know he had lunch pail.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Neither QB. I want watch pail.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Steelers Facebook comments after they draft Kenny Pickett, Charles R.
Kenny Pickett's gonna make number eight look worse than Tommy
Maddox did. All right, you can't, Yeah, we can't have
nice things. Tommy Maddox is just catching strays along with
Bobby Brister here in the Facebook comments. They don't deserve
this should be a celebration. Right, Steelers Facebook comments after
the draft. Kenny Pickett Mike m oh great, a dollar
(17:13):
store version of Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 6 (17:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
One here with this one, Faith be bless you, Kenny.
I dated a Kenny back in college. He was tall,
dark and handsome with a long, wonderful beard. All right,
how much wine did someone's happening? Faith have watching the draft?
Like somebody take her phone away from her? All right,
(17:39):
you know what? And faith sober up before you log
back off, take a lap. Around seven forty this morning,
we will tell you some of the sort of maybe
not main things happening around the NFL Draft, but still
interesting things that are happening. Like the best running back
(18:00):
in the NFL draft is in Pittsburgh today and he
will be serving chicken fingers at canes.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
That's happening.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Just stuff like that that hasn't been like the main
talking points, but they're just things that are happening that
are kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
We'll get to that around seven forty on the Kids
Morning Freak Show. It's Mike and Bob.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Let's get to this talkback message brought to us by
One Team Media.
Speaker 8 (18:23):
Mikey and Bob.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
I just wanted to add to your list of things
going on around the city today. Yeah, you mentioned Nelly, Nelly,
heines Ward, Brett Keesl. Yeah, Brett Keesl's out at at Walmart.
He's out there this morning and Robinson from ten am
to noon. Heines wards with Heinz ketchup a Giant Eagle
Settler's Ridge six to seven with the Giant Eagle, Giant
(18:46):
Buggy Nell. He's playing the Close at the north Shore
six pm to night.
Speaker 9 (18:50):
But don't forget to.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Mention DJ poly D is that MS Baddin's tonight as well?
Speaker 10 (18:55):
Thanks?
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Boys? Oh my gosh, I didn't even know that this
city gonna survive this weekend. Pauli D.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
He's just showing up tonight at mcfad. We can survive.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
DJ paulyy D. He's played the casino before. But yeah, yeah,
he's at mcvad. All right, we will give you a
rundown of the concerts happening this weekend. You know when
to go see Whiz, You know when to go see
Pauli D. Eight pm at McFadden. So we'll give a
rundown of the concert stuff happening around nine thirty. Uh
here on the show, Mikey and Bob Hello, Cany, Mikey,
(19:26):
and Bob. But how are you, Buttons?
Speaker 6 (19:32):
I'm good, good morning, good morning to my can't oo Bob,
good morning, good morning to you, Good morning, good morning,
I'm the station in the Burken morning, Good morning, ju.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
How are you too this morning? You know what, we
had a bad day yesterday. Okay, I don't want to
get into it. We had a bad day yesterday. So
we come in here in the morning and we're talking
about our bad day yesterday. We're kind of in a
bad mood, but we're getting through the show and the
show is fun to do. And then Button sings to us,
and all of a sudden, our day is made and
turned around. Now I am feeling positive about today, Buttons.
Speaker 6 (20:10):
Well, positivity is a great thing. And I hope I
made you smile.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
You did? You made you turned it around for us, Buttons,
I want to say.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Uh, black and yellow, black and yellow in a bell,
draft and a bird. My brother and my nephew are
coming in from Virginia to go and I'm just hoping
they don't call me and say, hey, come on down,
because I'll be like, I.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
Don't think so I feel like they should let Buttons
make like the sixth round pick or something like that.
Speaker 9 (20:44):
You know, we love you, but your best have a
great day, have a great time.
Speaker 8 (20:48):
I think you all are both gonna be down there right.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
As a draft.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
We're gonna get into the mix at the draft. Buttons, Yeah,
we're gonna get in the mix. Not sure exactly what
we're doing yet, but we're gonna get in the mix. Well,
be good, be hey, we'll try it. I get it.
I get it.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
Have a wonderful day, all.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Right, Buttons, bye, kiss you. Remember that kid, Zayton that
sent us a message yesterday? He did like I say
something nice message about his mom. Yeah, he's back real
quick here. And Big Bob, I just want to say
thank you so much for putting me on the radio. Yeah.
I was bragging to all my friends.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
You should have seen me.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
I'm famous now.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Yea faw, he made our show. He's famous enough. Everyone knows.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
All right. It's Mikey Abob the Kiss Morning Freak Shows.
Get into that.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
We're all gonna learn something together right now. It's time
to find that. Why the hell is this sing with
Mikey and Bad Mike. Tomlin's got a new job. See
that yesterday the TV time.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
I think a lot of people thought this is gonna
happen after he stepped away being head coach of the
Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin will now be joining NBC's Sunday
night pregame show for Football.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Night in America. He's going to be a studio analyst.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Uh. They just got rid of Tony Dungee, right, I
mean Tony Dungee. He's got some obvious ties to these Steelers.
Seventeen years Tony Dungee was on that show. But he's
hot bringing in coach Tomlin, and a lot of people
think Coach Tomlin.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Obviously he's gonna be good on that show.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
He always says the thing. He's got his tomlinisms and everything.
He's gonna be fine on that show. But a lot
of people are speculating he's just gonna, you know, stay
close to the game, do TV for a year now
on NBC Sunday Night Football, and then maybe go back
to coaching. Not the Steelers, but like Steelers trade him
away to another team. Maybe that still could happen, or
he could be like Coach Carr. Everybody thought Bill Carr
(22:37):
is just gonna step away for a year and then
come back and he just got from TV Cameray's like,
I don't need to coach anymore.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Car like they're gonna pay me to do this.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, okay, Coach Tomlin's gonna be part of our Sunday
Night football this upcoming year in the NFL. These Secret
Lives of Mormon Wives, big show. They are going to
resume resume season five filming. If you remember, they had
to stop filming because of all the things happening with Taylor,
Frankie Paul and the domestic violence investigation. It's like, nah,
(23:07):
game on her eggs boyfriend Dakota, Yeah, it's way too big.
They're game on. They're not gonna say if those two
will still be in season five moving forward. But you
know there were no charges or anything. So they're like,
all right, well, Secret Lives and Mormon Wives not like
we're stopping this show. Let's go. Drake has announced the
(23:28):
date of his next album, Iceman. It's gonna be on
May fifteenth. You probably have seen, if you're you know
chronically online, how he did it. There was just tons
and tons of ice blocks he built like it's on
ice wall. Yeah, in in Toronto, and then fans were
climbing on the blocks trying to melt the blocks because
(23:50):
inside was the release date. I guess is it like
a folder or something. It's some streamer got it and
it just you know, had the date May fifteenth to win.
Drake's album is going to be coming up. I'll called Iceman.
He's been promoting that album forever, and it'll be interesting
to see after you know, all the Kendrick stuff and everything,
with the build up of this album, it'll it'll be
interesting to see how Drake album does. And Ryan Reynolds
(24:13):
also trending, He said that Deadpool will only be a
supporting character moving forward. He said, I have some stuff
kind of written for Deadpool, but I don't think I'm
ever gonna center him again. He's a supporting character, a
guy who's great in a group. That's not a big surprise.
It'll probably do a little cameo in Avengers Doomsday or
something like that. Yeah, it doesn't sound like Ryan Reynolds
(24:35):
needs another Deadpool movie like standalone. He's like, I'll just
pop in these Avengers.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Movies over here. Yeah, you know, me and Wolverine over there,
X Men movie.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Or something like. Deadpool can just live on with that. Yeah,
he's not done playing Deadpool, but I think we've gotten
to our last Deadpool movie, all right. Coming up next
on the show, we are going to break down some
of the sort of I would almost.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Call them side shows of the NFL Draft.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I'm not talking about the State I'm not talking about
you know, this stuff that's going on necessarily at Point
State Park, right, I'm talking about the weird stuff that
might be happening in the shadows, like the murder of
Pop Tart. We will get to some of that coming
up next on The Kiss Morning Freak Show and Your
Chance at one thousand dollars this morning, trying to pay some.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Of your bills.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Around nine to ten, it's Mikey and Bob. Penguins are
very close to a must win situation tonight. Game three
of their Stanley Cup playoff matchup against the Flyers is tonight, Man, Philly,
can I get Let's go? Penns It feels like tomorrow
on the show we'll read Penguin's Facebook comments.
Speaker 6 (25:35):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Also tomorrow on the show, we'll recap anything fun that
happens with us today. I know later this evening we're
going down to Science Center. Pat McAfee's doing an event
where he's showing that football Ton movie. So no clue
who's gonna be there, what it's gonna be like. But
we'll share our stories tomorrow morning.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
We've been in the show here, We've.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Been saying it, but there is so much random stuff
just happening around the city. Yeah, let's get to some
of this here. It's Mikey Bob a Kiss Morning Freak Show. Uh,
you know, you know the big stuff. You know where
the stage is. You know there's stuff going on Don Points, Yeah,
you know, you know all that Art Square things like that. Obviously,
the traffic is really bad this morning. This is when
(26:18):
we really start feeling that draft traffic. Uh. Two of
the probably top picks in the draft, Notre Dame's running
back Jeremiah Love and Ohio State linebacker Rvel Reese, are
going to be at Raising Canes on Fifth Ave in
Oakland from one pm to two fifteen PM today, just
(26:39):
taking over Canes today. The best running back and the
best linebacker in the draft are ready to serve your
chicken fingers.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Why because it's draft week and nothing makes sense from
one to like two fifteen go see him down at
Raising Knes in Oakland.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Now, I know we've talked about this before, but I
want to make the details very clear here. Pop Tarts
Slamming Stroke, Aery mascot, and the giant pop Tarts Bowl
toaster will be at Nova Place on the North Side
from Friday starting at three pm. If you've ever seen
(27:14):
the pop Tarts toaster that they have for the pop
Tarts Bowl, they take this giant mascot, put him in
the toaster, and then out pops a giant, human sized
pop Tart. Is it weird that you watch a pop
Tart die live? Yeah? It is awesome, all right. So
(27:34):
those couple of things also happening. The Great Pennsylvania Mascot Race.
Whoa hold on, I thought they put Steely in right.
So this is going to take place at Point State
Park Thursday at four pm. It's Steeler's mascot Steely mcbeam,
It's Philadelphia Eagles mascot Swoop, It's uh Pitts mascot Rock
(27:59):
and the Nitney Lion from penn State University. You got
four big Pennsylvania mascots that are gonna be racing each
other in a forty yard dash Point State Park Thursday
at four PM. Did you think the Steelers brought in
a ringer to run in the Steely costume?
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Oh? I feel like you gotta win it.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
If you're Steely, you put like fast Willie Parker in
the Steely costume alike.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Cook.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
No, I think this is gonna be more of a
rock versus the Nitney Lion battle, because those seem very
easy to run in.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
You know, those seem like they might.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Do the forty yard dash, but you put a faster
person in the Steely, you know, or the swoop the
Eagles mascot. Maybe can't lose that one. I'm just glad
Gritty's not in it. You're right, because he bites GrITT
he bites.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Also happening again. We're just going through some of the
ancillary stuff that might not be the main stuff. They're
going for a Guinness World record at Akroscher Stadium one
pm on Friday.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Damar Hamlin, of course we know him.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
He used to play for pitt Obviously, he's from the
city Buffalo Bill starred almost damn died on the field,
right cardiac arrestor in that Monday night football game three
years ago. He will be hosting an attempt to break
the Guinness Book of World Record attempt for the most
people to complete CPR training in one hour. It's all
organized by the American Heart Association. They want four thousand
(29:24):
people's what they're aiming for. That's going to be an
acorsher one pm Friday. So they're going for the world
record of CPR. And then there's a couple things happening
with draft picks that are pretty cool if you haven't seen.
Whoever gets picked fifty seventh overall is going to get
(29:45):
a mister fifty seven Heinz ketchup jacket and win lifetime
supply a catchup tne.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Time Lifetime catch Up.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
The Bears currently have the fifty seventh pick omark com
the Steelers start making a move that needs to be
a Steelers pick. Do what you gotta do to get
to fifty seventh pick? Why jacket red red jacket? And
also the uh, the Arizona Cardinals. Uh, they picked Pat Tillman, right.
(30:16):
He is a he is a veteran. He was drafted
in the NFL years and years ago, and uh he
was uh he was killed overseas And they are going
to do a big Pat Tillman Foundation thing for when
they pick in Uh the two and twenty sixth pick.
The reason I bring it up because local Pittsburgh artist
friend of the show Cody Sable will be doing like
(30:37):
a live portrait of Pat Tillman when the Cardinals pick
Uh with a pick two twenty six. Yes, so just
some interesting things happen around the draft that might not
be the main thing.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
It's it's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
We're gonna murder a pop tart and then eat it
on the on the North side this week, all right.
We'll also get to some of the biggest draft concerts
like Whiz Khalifa. Those all start today. We'll get some
of those around nine thirty. It's my key, Bob. It's
been one of our favorite things. As they build up
to the NFL Draft continues here in Pittsburgh, ginsers just
(31:14):
making videos about draft preparation. Yesterday we played the guy
Chad who was just looking at all the porta potties
that were at Point State Park.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
So here's a quick look at Point State Park and
what they're doing for the draft. Look at all those
Porter Johns man, Look at all those Porter Johns Man.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
You know what if I go down the Strip District
and there's a Point State Park shirt that's just filled
with porta potties and says, look, I'm poor Johns man.
I wouldn't buy the shirt because the shirt's in the
strip district. Don't fit me. But I point and say,
that's a good Pittsburgh shirt right there. Yeah, let's get
to another talkback message. You can send them to the
free iHeartRadio app brought to us by One Team Media.
Speaker 11 (31:54):
Making Bob Amanda Here. Hi, So I work downtown and
I am actually the closest is building two Point State Park.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
WHOA, Okay, hold on now, she's an important building right there.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
She's a close to Point State Park. So I have
been seeing all of the draft stuff and it is awesome.
See that's how I feel too. I just see a
banner hanging and I'm like, hell, yeah, this is gonna
be fun, I think.
Speaker 11 (32:19):
But it somehow gets better because today at my lunch break,
I went on a walk through Market Square to see
everything that they've done there, and it looks amazing. They
have steelers, terrible towels hung up in the street.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Vibes are high right now, Pittsburgh vibes. I think a
lot of injurs now, especially now today is the day.
It feels like a lot of people are coming in.
Now it's like, all right, we read the place up.
Everything's prim and proper like it should be. Now let's
start telling people awesome we are. I also think a
lot of people didn't understand what the draft is. Like
I even saw like people making post online in like
(32:54):
a week or so ago, you know, explaining that this
is how players get on teams and stuff. But now
she's just like, why would a grown man want to watch?
Go and watch like a twenty year old it's awesome,
I don't get picked by their NFL team, Just like,
that's not how we need to think about this though.
It's like it's Picklesburg, but make it football. Like there's
so much stuff happening in and around the city that
(33:17):
isn't just a draft stage with guys getting drafted, Like
you can go downtown and have an awesome time. I
think the actual drafting of the players for a lot
of us here in Pittsburgh, it's sort of like a
secondary thing, you know, that's not the main event. Let's
get to the rest of her message. She's don Market Square.
Speaker 11 (33:32):
So on my way back from my walk, I passed
by hermanny's and I see none other than Mary Corey O'Connor.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Yeah, wull suit.
Speaker 11 (33:39):
Everything standing outside of her nanny's in market Square is
talking to people. I shook his hand. I thanked him
for everything he said for the city. Said it's amazing.
Oh mad, And I truly have never been more proud
to be from Pittsburgh in my life. I'm mad, so
excited for everything that's going on.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
I'm mad.
Speaker 11 (33:57):
It's gonna be amazing.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
She saw Mayor Corey O'Connor outside of per Man. He's
a market square. What was he doing? There's just talking
to people, just hanging out people that run Permann. He's
there just like hey, are you gonna like buy anything.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Or just like no, I'm just gonna talk to people.
Good for him.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Mayor's excited about it too, man, you know it Square
is all redone. I see Mayor Corey O'Connor. I kept
seeing like a bunch of interviews that he's done since
he's been on our show, and he just keeps using
the line, this isn't the NFL's draft, it's Pittsburgh's. Yeah,
so it is. Uh, that's good to hear. Though she's
real excited about how Market Square is looking, and just.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
You know the vibes in the city right now.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Man, I think a lot of people are just getting
over the fear with all the parking, and you know,
the news has been explaining to us for like a month,
like how to get down there and what's gonna be
down there, and how is this all gonna work? Like,
you know, it's gonna be a once in a lifetime thing.
It is. It is annoying as some of the getting
down there and you know, taking public transportation or paying
(34:57):
over for a ride share. It's gonna be worth it
just for the once in a lifetime memories you make
going down there with your family or your friends. It's
gonna be pictures of you all. This is when the
draft was here in twenty twenty six. It's not gonna
be here anytime soon. Might not even be here again
in our lifetime. So go make some memories this weekend, Pittsburgh.
(35:18):
It's Mike, you bomb. I could be I like that.
We got an email from our traffic report Queen Bonnie
Diver and said her reports are gonna be a little
bit longer this morning.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Because the draft is making roads mess. This morning.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Yeah, this is when the closures really start happening, where
you're just like, huh, why can't I get around on Tom.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
That easy anymore? You know what's going on here. Today's
definitely the.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Day where the draft traffic is is gonna be hitting.
It's Mikey, It's Bob, the ninety six to one Kiss
Morning Freak Show all about the NFL Draft. Got the
Penguins in Philly with the playoff game game three tonight.
Hopefully the Pens can get back on track, and you know,
it'd be nice if they could just tie the series
up and take two from Fires and then come back here,
(36:01):
just do a three game series with them with two
games in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
I'll take that right game game five Monday, right, Well,
if the Penguins win one on next two.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Yes, I'm saying it would be Monday back here. Yeah. Well, okay,
so like right after the draft and everything like that,
we'll know what the Steelers have done, who they drafted,
and then it will be a Penguins playoff game wait
before us.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
It's kind of exciting when.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
We talk about the Steelers on the show because there's
so much that goes on with the Steelers in this city,
and some of it's, you know, big news, and some
of it's not.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
So big news.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
But one thing that we love to do on our
show is we like to take the Steelers content and
milk it for all it's worth. In his time to
Milt Milt, Milt, Milt Melt the Steelers content, Milt Milt
Melt Melt Milt the Steelers content right, ruining the second
Steelers owner. He was on the DV morning show Oh Man, Yeah,
(37:02):
with Randy Bauman, Big time, Addie Krisner, Mike pursuit of
their full time sports guy, their full time producer, Jacob
and they're getting new they're getting new co host over
there too. Yeah, all right, big show, Home of the Steelers.
All right, Rooney said, I wish I could tell you
we're at the end of the discussion with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
We're still talking to Aaron. He's still deciding what he
wants to do. I thought he said he.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Was gonna be done. And didn't he say, like I
thought we were gonna be done with this Aaron Rodgers. No, Well,
mister Rooney, I think made a statement previously that he'd
be wrapped up by now. Yeah. Sure, I don't trust
anything any of these people say anymore. Nobody knows what's
going on. I think we're close. He's kind of told
us his time frame. Man, what he's gonna be up
(37:48):
to over the next couple of weeks. Yeah, he's gonna
be in here for the draft.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Why is here? Maybe he's gonna be in that mascot race.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Maybe he's gonna be in the Steely the Steel the Out,
but maybe he's gonna come rolling up on that giinty car.
What if Aaron Rodgers is in the strawberry the frosted
strawberry pop tart costume is the problem, and he gets
stuck in the toaster, and then all the sudden nova
place on Friday when we murder a giant pop tart.
All of a sudden, the pop tart goes in the
(38:15):
toaster and then the edible pop tart comes out.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
But then around the back of the toaster comes Aaron.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Rodgers, like, Hey, what's going on here with pop tarts?
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Aaron Rodgers love pop tarts.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
I just gave him the inter accent. He's got a
hankering for the pop tarts.
Speaker 10 (38:32):
Milk mil milk Man, Milton Steelers content milk milk, milk, milk, milk.
The Steelers content Mike McCarthy, new head coach of Steelers,
asked about Aaron Rodgers yesterday.
Speaker 12 (38:44):
It just yeah, nothing's changed. I'm gonna answer the question
saying what it always says. I think Aaron is probably
more in tune than than we would realize. But I
have confidence in where he would be the day he
would arrive.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
Okay, so he's saying he's not here, but when he
was here, when he shows up, I'll have confidence that
he'll show up.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Ready if that's his decision. Not sure if he's gonna
show up there.
Speaker 12 (39:06):
What I've learned through you know, institute and an off
season program, there are benefits of the periods where your
veterans aren't here, so that this is very beneficial time
for will In Mason right now.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Oh man, Ay beath McCarthy about that pop tart, No,
he's a pop tart, Han, No, it's like trying to
keep information away from like you know, That's what I'm saying.
It's like, hey, everybody, if you talk to Mike today,
don't let him know about the pop tart at Nova
(39:39):
Place on Friday. Okay, don't let them know there's a
giant one. Don't let him know that there is. They're
gonna sacrifice one. You gotta listen. If he gets wind
of the pop Tart, you gotta let him know. Though
it's a human and a pop.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Tart costume, he might be able to sniff it out.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
It's not real, Okay, Milk milk, milk, milk, milk. The
Steelers content built, the Steelers content. We will tell you
when and where some of the biggest concerts and performances
are gonna be for the NFL Draft coming up around
(40:16):
nine point thirty here on the Kiss Morning Free Show.
It's Mikey and Bob. Something we've been doing for I
would say a few weeks on the show, if not months,
is uh Yinsers making videos for the NFL Draft for
out of Tonner's. Yeah, you know, specifically targeting out of Towner's.
One of our favorite guys has been making content on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
You can look him up. His name is Tourists look
up on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
He was letting everybody know that's from out of town
coming in the NFL Draft.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
All about ice cream here in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Ice cream, I'm gonna tell you is about a little
secret we got around here in the city for a record,
everybody at Pittsburgh loves ice cream. We're big ice cream people.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Sun's coming out, weathers getting nice.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
It could be nice for the draft.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
People are out here and cones and windows left and right.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
How we do things. We got Millies and Fantastic. You
even got the big names.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
You've got Coldstone all down sharing.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
They're probably all gonna be down there on the north
side for the draft. Okay, let me give you a
little rundown out. Things work here. When you order ice
cream in Pittsburgh this week.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Okay, Now, this is just for out of towner's right.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
It's for people coming in today and tomorrow and all
weekend for the draft. For out of towners that are
gonna be ordered ice.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Cream, you better get your ice cream with the jimmies
on top. Don't tell them that. Don't tell them that
sprinkles here.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Don't tell them they call the sprinkles Jimmy's.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Like this is a bit.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Listen, my wife's ice cream with the Jimmies on top.
My wife from the Philadelphia area. This is a battle
every time that we get ice cream in our house.
I what do uh want to call them? Uh, let's
get to Kimmy Rhoads. Here. A lot of people Pittsburgh
know we're on the internet as sigmam Kimmy Rhoades.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
She just puts out some great content.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
She's just she makes such a great point here, like
we're just this is retting the city up for company
coming over.
Speaker 11 (42:04):
That's what it is, Pittsburgh, Like hurrying up and cleaning
right before the draft, like painting the bridges all that.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
It's giving right up the hats before your aunt come
do it.
Speaker 11 (42:15):
Okay, you're just scrambling.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
You don't know where it goes. You're like, okay here.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
Meanwhile, what's your mom telling you.
Speaker 6 (42:22):
Do all the time?
Speaker 1 (42:23):
Do those chores all the time?
Speaker 11 (42:25):
Like those bridges should be painted all the time.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Why are.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
The road should be fixed all the time? Yeah, what's constructionize.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
We should have this stuff fixed and ready to go
all the.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Time, just for us, for the people that live here.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Yeah, why don't we get nice painted bridges and everything,
and not just for the out of talent. You've got
to keep good faith for Aunt Darlene. Don't we make
sure if you order that ice cream, make sure you
ask for Jimmy's Nobody will say anything to you. That's
how we're staying round here in Pittsburgh. Not really, though
you might get your ax fet your chance to win
(43:00):
one thousand dollars coming up around nine ten. This is
Sabrina Carpenter. When did you get hot? It's mikey Bob.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
All right, Bob, So tonight we're going down to the
Science Center. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Pat McAfee is showing the Football Time movie that he
narrated at the Science Center tonight, some private event. We
are not really sure who's going to be there, but
we'll talk about it on the show tomorrow. And then
what are we doing for the first round on the
Draft Thursday? Bob?
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Have you decided yet? Are you going down there?
Speaker 1 (43:24):
We wait until Friday or I think we need to
see how we recover from tonight and activities before we
make Thursday play.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
Are you telling me we're playing the draft?
Speaker 1 (43:34):
By ear? I don't know if I want to do this.
It's Mike Yaobob the uninety six to one Kiss Morning
Free Show. It's time to say something nice on the show. Listen,
you watch the news, well, actually, if you watch the
news in Pittsburgh now, it's it's just it's all drafts,
just draft, it's all draft draft. But you know, there's
a lot of bad stuff going on in the world
and things can get rough things, you know, anxiety, depression,
(43:57):
all of it. People overworked. So we like to do
something on the show just called say something nice, where
you say something nice to someone or something and hopefully
it turns your day around here, say something nice, say
something nice. I just want to say something nice. Oh
you got something nice. Okay, say something nice. Say something nice.
(44:23):
You're a lady that we all know in love, right,
Bonnie Diver, Oh Bonnie Diver or traffic, say something nice.
Speaker 13 (44:29):
Because we need to put some respect on her name.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
I gotta be honest. It is Super Bowl week for
Bonnie Diver. Our traffic queen, right, just road closures and
she says everywhere an email this morning, just going Yeah,
it might go a littlong this morning.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
Traffic reports might be a little bit longer, traffic getting wild.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Yeah, because she's gonna have her work probably cut out
for her this week.
Speaker 8 (44:49):
Oh yes, Oh NFL draft and nobody knowing how to drive,
even though they already don't know how to drive, and
it's just gonna get even worse.
Speaker 10 (44:56):
So just say something nice.
Speaker 8 (44:58):
We love her also.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Okay, all right, wait, let's say something nice, say something nice.
I would like to let all the out of towners
who may have stumbled upon our station or our show
us my best friend since Little League Baseball, Bob over
here birthday, and for some reason, listeners have been wishing
him a happy birthday all year and we're all at
the end of April. His birthday is New Year's Day.
(45:23):
All right, let's get to another Say.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
Something nice, say something nice, Say something nice.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Thank you, and Bob Keaitland from black Ox.
Speaker 13 (45:34):
Say something nice for the show, because all of these.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
Out of towners are gonna be driving in and trying.
Speaker 9 (45:42):
To find something on the radio and stumble upon you
and really get to experience the magic of your show.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
And how we in the city are lucky to not
have a crappy.
Speaker 13 (45:51):
Morning show like so many other cities. Say something nice
for you too, Why.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Something nice? Say something nice. Yeah, I'm sure that's all
the all the out of towners are doing. They're getting
in there. Well. You know what, though, we might have
an advantage here because a lot of like you know,
ride share listening to Yeah, they'll be listening to our
show and then there will be just like an out
of towner sitting in the uber and be like, what
(46:21):
the hell's going on here?
Speaker 2 (46:22):
Happening? Well, you know what's going on here?
Speaker 1 (46:25):
We don't really know.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
We've just been doing this for like twenty years and
they just keep paying us and I don't know.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
But we like to play animal mating noises on the
show a lot too, so you know, like that's the thing.
Welcome to Pittsburgh. You've heard turtle mating, right, You've heard
that right right? The morning show in your state doesn't
do things like lama mating noises.
Speaker 6 (46:51):

than one day, yeah, can.
Speaker 1 (48:55):

Some of the stuff is not the major things that
are gonna make you know, like the eleven o'clock news, right,
some of these things are just little happenings.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
In and around the city that we find the kind
of interesting. They have their own.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
Website pghdash scanner dot com. It is time to check.
I can't and see what's happening in and around our city.
I got one here Shady Side, it says, not giving
the street address to this because if you know, you know.
Speaker 2 (51:14):
Okay, so this is a something.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Happened at a mysterious place in Shady Side, it says.
Caller says that he thinks that his neighbors are running
an unlicensed brothel. Oh no, we can't have this during
draft week. Maybe we can, though maybe it's the week
(51:39):
we do need to Shadyside an unlicensed brothel. Maybe what's
going on next door to you? I don't know, man,
Does Shady Side have like a brothel? That's like South
Side Burger King? Like if you know, you know, if
you know where it's at, you know, or I think
that's what it is, dude, the South Side Burger King
(51:59):
of brothels Shady Side.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
It's just called babes and vapes.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
That's what's happening in and around our city. That's right,
where's my husband? It is, Mikey. It is Bob the
ninety six to One Kiss Morning Freak Show. And obviously
there's a lot going on with the NFL Draft in town.
The first round is tomorrow Friday. I think is gonna
be the big party day. Obviously, Thursday, the first round
(52:24):
brings a lot of people, and you know, it's the biggest.
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Thing that everybody's doing Thursday, and everybody will be watching it.
It'll be a whole thing.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
But Friday, Yeah, Friday, some good weather on Friday, it's
gonna turn into a big party Friday.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
It So today is really the day where some of
the concerts start. Paulie d from Jersey Shores playing McFadden's tonight,
so if you're down there for whatever reason.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Also, Nellie is.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
In town, gonna be playing the Plaza at the north
Shore there that new place, Yeah, six pm, randomly Nellie
lay in the night. Now. I feel like those two
concerts are.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
Just like, all right, if people are in ton let's
put on a show, right like those two. Dude, that's the.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Mad Draft hasn't even started yet.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
That's the magic of these things. There's there's just.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
Gonna be people roaming town looking for something to do.
It's just like, oh man, yeah, Nelly's here and then uh,
tomorrow for the first round of the draft. Really there's
one big thing tomorrow because the emphasis is really just
on the first round of the draft. Steve Aoki, the
world famous DJ who Uh, by the way, you think
he's gonna cake somebody? He does every show, right, he
(53:37):
throws a sheet cake at somebody. I hope, so, oh
my god, I want to get caked by Aoki? How
do I do that? So that's tomorrow Steve Aoki, the
players at north Shore or the new place. That's gonna
be at noon, and that's basically it for Thursday. Then Friday,
I think is what most people are looking forward to.
Friday is the explosion of Whiz Khalifa and Brent Michaels.
(53:58):
That's gonna be around five fifteen on Friday, and that's
gonna be like main stage.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
Of the draft.
Speaker 1 (54:04):
That's gonna Hey, Whiz Khalifa is gonna do black and
yellow nice day on Friday. Thousands of people.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Just people as far as you can see.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Pittsburghers, out of towners, the skyline, the rivers, the fountains. Oh,
it's gonna be amazing. It's gonna be one of the greatest.
Oh Man and then also Friday and Saturday at the
City Winery. You see Vanessa Carlton's in town plant. It's
Vanessa Carlton.
Speaker 2 (54:35):
Well he goes in.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
Taking away downtime, fucking bat and I'm home bun.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
No no, no, no no.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
And then back to.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
Back night City Winery, the thing along for making my
way down Tom It's gonna be a beautiful thing. And
then on Saturday. Saturday is sort of when I feel
like a lot of the hoop of the draft and
the actual picks and stuffs has waned a little bit.
You're getting into late rounds here. Saturday's a day where
you're just like, all right, what do I need to
(55:19):
see before this all goes away? Saturday the concerts are
gonna be two Chains playing at the Plaza at North Shore.
That's six pm. And then Caine Brown will be closing
out the draft on Saturday. So that's pretty much the
big shows, the big musical guests who are gonna be
performing for the NFL Draft, and you know WHI that's
(55:41):
starting today now. Penguins have a big game tonight. Of course,
they're in Philadelphia for Game three of their series against
the Flyers, down two games to none, backs against the Wall.
I think we're gonna turn it around, though, if somebody
wants to sing a song about the Penguins coming up
next here on the Kiss Morning Freak Shows, Mike, you Bob,
that's our guy. Cam Hayward's gonna be doing is Not
(56:02):
Just Football podcast at a couple locations Tomorrow Thursday, Cam
is going to be doing his draft party at Tequila
Cowboy three pm. And then Cam is gonna be doing
his podcast Friday one to four pm from the Heinz
History Center. It's Mikey and Bob the ninety six to
one Kiss Morning Freak Show. Let's get to another talkback
message here, brought to us by the Pavement Group. Of course,
(56:25):

up with one that I feel needed to be shared
with everyone.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
WHOA Okay, here we go.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Okay, everybody settled down, everybody get ready. This might be
the thing that we need. This might be the thing
that we need to power us to a three tonight.
A Pen's baby song.
Speaker 1 (57:02):
I think that may be what it is. We just
needed this new mom to call in with her penguin song.
Hopefully give him super powers.

They're gonna turn it around. Sid's gonna dominate in Philly
like he always does. I got my Penguins hat here.

my oilers shows tonight.

lost last night. I did see they talked to Andrew
(59:20):
McCutchen after the game, even though he didn't play, and
he's just like, yeah, Pirates just never called me, so whatever.
I gotta say hi to a few guys. But he
still doesn't seem too happy about him not being in Pittsburgh.
But he's happy for the guys that are here having success.
Speaker 2 (59:33):
All right, Bob, let's see what do you want to
name the podcast today?
Speaker 1 (59:36):
