from the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, that there will be
a sacrificial pop Tart at the NFL Draft, much like
when they have the pop Tarts themed college football bowl game. Yeah,
there's gonna be is There gonna be a toaster and
(02:41):
we're just gonna a big, giant, life size walking pop
Tart's gonna go through the toaster, man, and I love it.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Then you get to eat some of it. Oh man,
I love it. Where's that gonna happen? When? When's that happening?
O place? Okay?
Speaker 6 (02:56):
I mean it's down there. He right, it's done in
the area down there. Yeah, walk a little bit to
get to Nova Place for your downtown. But I would
love to see the murder of a giant walking pop
tart right Friday and then eat some of it too. Yeah, Friday,
three pm. The pop tart.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh my god, we're one week away from the death
of a pop tart in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
See.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Now, this is the stuff I like about the draft,
the stuff that makes no sense.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
But it's just the NFL Draft is a major event.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So it's like, hey, pop Tarts wants to be involved
to Okay, what can we do? They can go murder
a pop tart over Nova Place. We ain't got no
room from downtown or at the Point or anything like that.
They want to pay the money, they can go do
it over Nova Place or something.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
It's Mikey Bob the Kiss Morning Freak Show.

are we talking about? Penguins fire Saturday. That's how you

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Half an hour. Is hanging out.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
We will get to some of Sidney Crosby on the
Pat McAfee show yesterday around six forty and then Penguins
goalie Stuart Skinner joins the show later around nine thirty.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
It's Mikey Bob, Mike and Bob and back and two
guys who never grew up. They will very immature, have immature.

Yeah, hit that little talkback microphone and you can send
us a message and maybe you'll make the show.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
What to send off one episode?
Speaker 2 (06:54):
I am going to go into some TV depression now
because the Pit Season two wrapped up last night on
HBO Max. It is Mikey it is Bob the ninety
six to one Kiss Morning Freak Show. Let's get to
a talkback messager brought to us by the Pavement Group.
It's our friend Aunt Coca.
Speaker 10 (07:13):
They cock.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
The ending the.
Speaker 10 (07:19):
I don't want to give it a hit, spoil it baby.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Jane, Baby jan Baby. It's good, right, Coca.
Speaker 10 (07:31):
Such a good show, all right? YEA happy birthday Bob
because of this was a present Wow.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
She says that the season two finale of The Pit
was a present Happy Birthday, Bob, and bob birthday is uh,
his birthday was January first. They're going to win all
the awards again. Yeah, yep, they are. It's so damn
good they are. It's so good. And again we're gonna
do spoiler free today on the Pit. But uh, I
will say there was it like one shocking moment where.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I went, oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
They that that was the build up to all of
this and then this broke and this character ain't come
back or I don't think there was that sort of
like shoe drop moment. But man, a lot of characters
that have been going through it this season. It's like
you sort of see how they end their shift and dude,
(08:26):
it almost makes it better because that's how most TV
shows are written, like, I mean just yeah, obviously you
compare it to something like Gray's Anatomy just because it's
doctors and yeah, possible.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
And they right there storylines of just like yeah, giant tragedy. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
To wrap, it's just like no, just really good writing
and really good like acting. Yeah, and it's just awesome.
This one is more like show me somebody leave the
hospital at the end of their shift and cry in
their car, and that means more than if you, like,
you know, do something outrageous where it's like.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Whoa, I can't believe what's gonna happen?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Now. It was. It was a fantastic episode, and there
were some There were some Pittsburgh I will say the
star of the show as far as Pittsburgh references. In
the season two finale of the pit was was pretty
much Pittsburgh Skyline because there is fireworks and you know,
some of them go up on the roof to watch fireworks,
and there also is in Iron City beer. So iron
(09:29):
City that's how season one ended two. Remember they were
in the park across hospital and they all at Iron City. Yeah,
so it seems like and This is an amazing thing.
Pretty much the most awarded drama on television right now
ends every season with Iron City Beer drinking.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
My god, are you kidding me? This is our show, Pittsburgh.
It's unbelievably good.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
So we will get to some more of a season
two finale recap of the pit coming up around eight
fifty five here on the Kiss Morning Freak Show. Sidney
Crosby was on the Pat McAfee show yesterday for like,
I don't know, twenty minutes half an hour. Usually don't
hear Sidney Crosby talk that much, So we will get
to some of what sid said as the Penguins go
into the playoffs around six forty.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Coming up next here, it's Mikey and Bob n cass.
I'm Michael here and mom Stee.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Pittsburgh Penguins Philadelphia Flyers playoffs series schedule is officially out.
We got Game one coming up tomorrow eight pm. Of
course here in Pittsburgh. Game two is gonna be Monday,
Monday night at home, and then you know to in
Philly Wednesday, and then Saturday, and Game five if necessary,
(10:45):
will be the twenty seventh at home.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
So it's Penguins Flyers.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
You have to just send us a message through the
free iHeartRadio app, send us a talkback message, give us
a little bit of that's gold pens. If you want
to try to win some tickets to go to the
game tomorrow, you have until noon to enter for Penguins
Flyers playoff tickets here on ninety six one Kiss. It's
Mikey Bob a Kiss Morning freak show. And by the way,
finally talks to Pat McFee. I missed his call the
(11:12):
other day because I was doing a live stream with
my friends from Pained Glasses.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah, and I was like, oh, man, miss Pat's call.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
He probably wanted something that was draft related or something
that is just a mystery.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
And then I didn't hear from.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Him for a day, and I'm like, man, I wonder
if he's ever gonna call me back now. Yeah, I
talked to Pat for like ten minutes yesterday. It's draft
stuff that I don't even know if I'm supposed to
talk about, but whatever, I.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Will tell you though that.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
You know, when the draft, the first round starts on Thursday,
I think we might have a better show than anybody
in Pittsburgh. Yikes, that's a bold statement, but I think
we might have a better show than anybody else when
the NFL Draft opens, because I think we're gonna have
some stories to tell about. We got a big week
next week, well just big we want going on. Pat
(12:03):
McFee at Sidney Crosby on his show yesterday. Sid doesn't
do a lot of interviews like this, so Pat talked
to him for like half an hour. You can go
to his YouTube channel if you want to catch up
on that. But of course sid was sort of reminiscing
about coming to Pittsburgh and being a rookie and you know,
now having done it twenty years, has been a little
while since they've been in the playoffs.
Speaker 12 (12:22):
Yeah, I mean, it couldn't have been a better place
to come just for the fact that it's an unbelievable
sports town, but also because we were a group of
young guys kind of coming up in the league together.
So coming out of the lock out, there's obviously a
lot of pressure, you know, being a first overall pick,
but to know that you were sharing that with you know,
a ton of younger guys that were excited for the opportunity,
(12:43):
wanted the responsibility to be a part of this team.
And to grow it and with the fan support that
we have here, it's just a place that you know,
at the time, I think thought was going to be incredible,
and it's worked out to be you know even more.
You know, I think just from the day I showed
up at the airport, you know, it was packed. It
was more than I could have ever imagined. And to
(13:04):
think twenty years later, here we are getting ready for
another playoff run. I probably wouldn't have believed it at
the time, So I'll take this any day.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Hey, Sid, guess what, me and Bob didn't think we'd
still be doing the show after twenty years either, but
here we are. It's been a hell of a run
and it's gonna be fun to just again we you know,
they missed the playoffs for a couple of years, and
it's been a little while since we've had that playoff
feeling where you feel like, hey, I think these boys
can get past the Flyers and maybe make some noise
(13:32):
in the playoffs. So send us talkback message with a
little bit of let's go Pens and somebody is gonna
win tickets to Game one a Saturday night at the arena.
Just send him through the free iHeartRadio app. All right,
we'll get to today in Freak Show history coming up next. Also,
it's new Music Friday here and on the free iHeartRadio
app of brand new Olivia Rodrigo song called drop Dead
(13:54):
coming up around seven am. It's Mikey and Bob's goalie
Stuart Skinner joins the show around nine to thirty. Now,
the question is, is the first question to Stuart Skinner
gonna be about his mustache or are we going to
(14:14):
ease into mustache talk? Because we are going to talk
mustaches with Stuart Skinner.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
That is just a given. His mustache is so good,
it's so thick.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
I feel like Stuart Skinner's mustache is the only mustache
in Pittsburgh that you look at.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
And just go, well, I have a challenger. It really is. Honestly,
It's Mikey Abob the Kiss Morning Freak Show.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
You can send us a talkback message before noon today
if you want to go to the penns Flyers game
one Saturday at the Arena. Hey, Mike, trying to get
enter to win some Penguins tickets.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
So let's go pend Okay, And Happy Birthday ball.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
All right, Bob's birthday was New Year's Day. It's not
his birthday. Let's go right, let's go bet happy birthday. Bye, okay,
let's go okay again. Bob's birthday January first. So glad
you're getting a good laugh out of it all, Bob,
all right, it is right around seven o'clock. It's time
(15:13):
for today in Freak Show History, where we take you
back to a moment in the show that made us laugh,
made us smile. For today in Freak Show History, it
is Ohio Bigfoot mating calls.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Whoa today.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
History bigfoot calling competition in Ohio. That's incredible, Like, that's incredible.
That came out of a human man right there, right,
that's incredible. Now that one sucks. That's just Chewbacca, Like
(15:55):
Bigfoot don't sound like Chewbacca. If there is, no I'm
not sure, but that's Chewbacca. You can't win a bigfoot
calling competition with Chewbacca.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
There's that one.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
I actually think that I actually think that might have
been a woman too. Okay, there's there's that again. This
is just a bigfoot calling competition in Ohio. Thank you
Kelsey for sending us this video. Okay, I got some
good Ohio bigfoot somebody's aunt and uncle up on stage.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Yeah, I got a couple more in weird that big
foot too.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I think that was the guy who was wearing a
Hawaiian shirt and just looked like your uncle who works
at like a bank.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
He did.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
He was in a very unsuspecting bigfoot. He went more
of a whoo bigfoot call than a rule. That's a
good one, right there.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Okay, again, this is just people in Ohio bigfoot mating calls.
This is gonna be the Ohio Okay, this is the
Ohio bigfoot howl here at a bigfoot calling competition.
Speaker 13 (17:20):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (17:21):
This is the Ohio Yeah, that is just an Ohio cougar.
After after after two glasses of wine, you know, I like,
that's come on, you hear me calling? Come on all right,
you know what, I've had a couple of glasses of
wine and I will take home anybody in this bar.
Hairier the better I lived through the eighties. Okay, all right,
(17:43):
church out, let me see ho's Harry. Let's get let's
get you home, and let's do a lot.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Alright, and then one one more here, one more? All right, Yeah,
bigfoot calling competition in Ohio. Hiheart Radio blew Music Friday. Hey,
it's Olivia Rhyder.
Speaker 11 (18:04):
You go.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
A gender reveal happened at the Pirates game yesterday.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
But this was not any fan in the stands.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
This wasn't somebody like you know, doing it on the
Clemente Bridge before they went into the game or anything. Now,
this was the Pirates starting pitcher Braxton Ashcraft yesterday. It
is Mikey, It is Bob the ninety six to one
Kiss Morning Freak Show. So the game yesterday started with
Ashcraft on the Mond. Joey Bart is catching for the Pirates.
(18:36):
We will let Hannah Merrors from Sports Net Pittsburgh take
over here. This was the game yesterday.
Speaker 14 (18:42):
Something very exciting is happening for pitcher Broxton Ashcraft right
now and his wife Cassidy. If you look at Joey
Bart behind the plate, he is wearing a pink armband
and a.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Big smile on his face. Knowing what this moment means.
Speaker 14 (18:57):
Braxton and Cassidy Ashcraft are expecting a girl. There is
a look at Cassidy right now with some family members.
They wanted to make sure they did this gender reveal
here for their family.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Back at home.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
That would have been funny if Joey Bart after the
first pitch like put his hand on top of his
head to like go review it and be.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Like, I don't know, it might it might be a boy.
We need to check again.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Yeah, that was a pretty cool moment though. I don't
think I've ever seen anything like that. Brexton Ashcraft brought
the whole family out. Yeah he had he had some
family there with him, But just think of all the
family and friends that were just watching on.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Hey, watch the Pirates game today. I'm pitching.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
But also before the game, you know, they low they'll
mention why Joey's wearing the pink you know arm band.
So hey, that's that's pretty cool. The Pirates did lose
to the Nationals eight to seven and ten innings. That
was a weird game yesterday.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Yea of errors.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Each team scored four runs in the fifth inning. There
were fifteen total runs in the last six innings. Hey,
Marceau zon To finally hit a massive dong shot gee
three run homer yesterday is first of the year, four
hundred and twenty three feet. It bounced off the third
level of the rotunda in in left field. That was
(20:12):
He hit it so hard that you couldn't even tell
where the ball went on TV just kept going.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
You just heard the noise in the She's like, I
don't even know where where's the ball? Where's the ball?
Speaker 2 (20:22):
So yeah, there's a rough loss for the uh for
the Pirates yesterday, but uh they're back at it tonight,
starting a three game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
By the way, speaking of the Tampa Bay Rays, our
buddy AJ down in Florida. He listens to the show
on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 15 (20:39):
He sent a message here, Hey, Slip and Slop, it's
yours county ins or AJ. And with the Rays taking
on the Pirates this weekend, I'm gonna make a bet
with you guys. Oh, if the Rays take the series,
then expect some raised jerseys with your names on them.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Don't We don't need that, AJ, I don't. I don't
want to raise I don't need to raise jersey.
Speaker 10 (20:59):
But is the Pirates take the series? Sausage time? Love
you boys. Happy half birthday, Mikey, Happy birthday, Bob.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
What is sausage time? I mean on sausage time, whatever
that is.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Let's go, boss, Pirates.
Speaker 10 (21:24):
If the Pirates take the series, sausage Time.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
All right, sign me up the best day.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Ja. We don't need Mike, you Bob raise jerseys though
we appreciate it. And then Tomorrow night, Man, Tomorrow night's
gonna be awesome.
Speaker 16 (21:40):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
By the way, they're wearing the City Connects jerseys for
the first time tonight too, so that'll be uh, that'd
be cool.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Bubba Chandler, pitch in hand. Batman's in the building. Batman A. J.
Burnett is throwing out the first pitch tonight. Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (21:53):
Yeah? Yeah, and fireworks post post Jesus. And then tomorrow
Schimes Day. Wait, hold on it, you mean to tell
me random Friday in April. AJ Burnett, Batman is back,
bes Tfu is back.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Put up the bat signal.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Burnett's throwing the former Pirate pitcher who took us through
b October.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
He's throwing the first pitch and there's fireworks. Jeez, it's
a big night.
Speaker 2 (22:22):

Speaker 7 (24:26):
I like to say something nice to Nicole who is
carrying wow, these twins and has to go through the summer.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I love you, oh Nicole, twins for the summer. That's
gonna be a sweaty summer for you.

Good morning, boys, this is your fake County friend Andrea here.
And when you had mentioned that you were going to
have Depends Goalie on later this morning, I myself, y'all
generally don't have yeah guests on the show. So when
was the last time you actually had a legitimate guest
on the show. So just a random thought as I
(28:47):
drive into the Abyss to work this morning.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Okay, have a great day. It's Tuesday. Yeah, we're having
a hot week. Here.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
It's Tuesday. We had Mayor Corey O'Connor, mayor Pittsburgh, so
it's too Yeah, this is a guest heavy week. Wow,
watch guests. It's what most morning shows will have two
guests on in an hour. I know, a two guest
week for us is somewhat overwhelming for us. Yeah, yeah,
before Tuesday, No clue, I don't I don't know who
(29:17):
the last person was on our show before he was Yeah,
the stuff of us stuff the first bus. Oh yeah,
that was last year Cam. Yeah, but I mean before
that too. I couldn't tell you the last time. Yeah,
we don't have a lot of guests on the show.
In case you guys haven't figured out, you're the third
person on the show, you're.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
The special guest. How does that make you feel? Everybody? Huh,
it's it's Friday. Vibes are good in the city.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
And guess what guests Who the special guest is on
the show's every day?
Speaker 1 (29:46):
It's it's you every day. It's Yans.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
You're the special special guest on our show. It's stupid
as that sounds, or as cheesy as sounds. That's how
we do our show though. Yeah, it's it's you. Guys,
it's been a pretty successful before me. Other shows fill
their their show with guests and who can talk about
inside experts, and we're just like, no, we'd rather just
talk to you guys. Yeah, let's get to some more
(30:10):
Penguins talkback messages here. You have it till noon today
to try to enter for Penguins tickets. Just send us
a little bit. Let's go Penns through the talkback messages.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
Morning boys.
Speaker 19 (30:19):
This is your FA County friend Andrea, and I'm calling
for the Penns tickets. So I'm getting to give you
a little Let's go Pens. I am a middle school teacher.
We are not okay, so I would have to leave
it a eleven night out to take my classroom neighbor
to the game.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
I don't know if she's been to one before, so.
Speaker 19 (30:36):
I would love to go and be able to take her.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
So let's go Pens please.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Yay, I'm telling you you send two middle school teachers
like that to a Penguins game. Look Away Teachers Night
on look Away for Teachers Night.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
On a Mike and Bob.
Speaker 10 (30:50):
This is Casey from Clarksburgh.
Speaker 8 (30:52):
First of all, I just wanted to say, you know,
happy belated birthday to ball.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Come on, all, let me go. I mean, I just
feel different about this team. You know, it's been a while.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Since since I felt like this with the Pens going
into the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
But I feel like we can make a run here.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
We got the team for it.
Speaker 16 (31:14):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Penns Man, He's right, there's something. There's something a little
special about this team, it feels like. And again we
sort of want to just get past the first round. Yeah, yeah,
you know, once it gets rolling, who knows how this
how this goes? Does feel like to make it a
successful season. We're back in the playoffs. Let's get past
that first round and see what happens. We will have
(31:37):
more of Sidney Crosby yesterday talked to the Pat McAfee
for like half an hour on his show.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
We'll get some more of that coming up around eight
twenty five.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Also, Penguins goalie Stewart Skinner joins us around nine to thirty,
the first guest on the show since Tuesday. If you
(32:07):
watched the season two finale of The Pit last night
on HBO Max, we'll get to a recap of that
coming up, sort of a spoiler free recap. We don't
want to give away everything that happened around eight to
fifty five. Here on the Kiss Morning Free Show. It
is Mikey and Bob. Let's get to this talkback message
here brought to us by One Team Media.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Hey, guys, speaking of Kenny Wood being open.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Yeah, have you seen that new Potato Pass inspired menu
that they're gonna be doing on Kennywood weekends for like
the next month.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
It looks on lecture special, uh.
Speaker 10 (32:35):
Sweet potato fries, irish, all kinds of crazy stuff. Let's
give a shout out for Potato Pass.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Come up? Hell yeah, Potato Past. Wait a minute, Kitty
was Hey, ins a Creed guy out of nowhere. I
think regular voice. I think he just regular voice, doesn't it?
And he's like, I gotta let him know him.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
You injur Creed guy, the guy who sends messages and
things like Creed pood. He heard us mentioned Kenny Wood
is open this weekend and start thinking potato Patch and
it broke character.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
He had to slide. He was just like, let these
guys know. I'm like, I'm excited Mike for the snacks.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Anyway, It's Mikey Abob the Case Morning Free Show, of course,
We are now less than a week away from the
from the NFL Draft. You know, the big the big
arch that a lot of people are gonna be under
for the picks. You know, the stage is gonna be
under and everything. Uh. Somebody as somebody from the NFL
(33:38):
was talking about, you know, the stage set up and
everything like that, and they said they picked that because
when they do the crowd shots from the stage, they.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Wanted like this city in the background. Oh man, yeah,
if you.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Look at it, it's in the parking lot, like lined
up with acroture, but it's tilted just a little.
Speaker 8 (33:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Man, that's all on purpose.
Speaker 9 (33:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
We've been saying how you know, we're stressed about parking
and getting down there.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
I'm not that worried anymore.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
There's gonna be four Football Flyer buses that will run
free during the draft. They'll run from ten am to
one am each day of the draft, every fifteen minutes
Thursday and Friday, and every thirty minutes Saturday. And we're
exciting because you know we get a bus coming up
north now. Ye, So like McCandless area, I think it
(34:27):
is right a Ross Park Mall stop too, Ross Park Mall.
You're really trying to get people to not drive and
just take public transportation. And I think that might be
the move there the teeth free all weekend too, Yeah,
I mean yeah, all weekend.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
It would be weekend. There is always Uh.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
There's also gonna be a bunch of Yins are legends
that are going to be in town for the draft.
I think the uh, I think there's gonna be a
lot of people announcing like second and third round picks.
That's usually when they start getting people that you know,
maybe represent some of the teams. But there's just gonna
be a lot of Western Pa legends, like you know,
Tony Dorri set for from the Cowboys. We've had Curtis
(35:06):
Martin that played high school or college football here.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Yeah, it's gonna be awesome that are coming back just
to make picks. Like it's loaded with.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
With Pittsburgh Jerome Bettis, John Stalworth also, Uh, both of
the Porters are supposed to be at the draft, Joey
Porter senior and junior James Connors coming back in town
to do the uh do the Cardinals picks.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Is going to be a bunch of pitt legends, Penn
State legends.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
You know that are gonna be there too.
Speaker 16 (35:33):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Pat McAfee of course from plumb pont it at West Virginia.
He's gonna be representing the Colts at the draft too.
It should be, uh, it really should be an incredible weekend.
And I think there's been a lot of you know,
stay away, we don't want to do it.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Man, Ever since we talked to the mayor about it,
he sort of eased our eased our fears a little bit.
And it's just like it's once in a lifetime. But
what everybody should get in the mix.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
This is the once in a lifetime thing. Let's have
some fun, right Pittsburgh. All right?
Speaker 2 (36:03):
We love all the injuries that have been making NFL
Draft videos.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
This was another one.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Mike Knockle, I think, is on Instagram just talking about,
you know, Pittsburgh drivers and having out of tunners come in.
It's so funny that people are complaining about the draft
coming to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Be like seven hundred thousand people won't know how to drive.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
In the city.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
The people here now don't know how to drive in
the city.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Ye, it's horrible.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
You know.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Every morning I drive in to yell at people maybe
I just have road rage.
Speaker 5 (36:31):
No, I feel like everyone here already sucks at driving.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
He's got a good point there too.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
You know, let's not act like people don't break before
the tunnels here. Now, obviously tourists are gonna freak the
hell out run they have to go through the tunnel,
Like the tunnel monster is gonna be a real thing
that eats cars this next weekend, right for the draft.
But yeah, I get, I get what he's saying, Like,
we it's not every time you come through the Fort
(36:57):
Pitt Tunnel and you have somebody in front of you
who knows which lane they need to be in.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
He's right, we can't drive here anyway.
Speaker 18 (37:03):
Some of us.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
By the way, I thought, Katie K did a news
report that's seven hundred thousand people number, that's that's fuzzy math.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Wait, what do you mean fuzzy math?
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Like it all counts. But yeah, it could be they
counted per day, so it could be the same same people. Yeah,
the same exact people that came in from out of
town to experience the whole you know, the whole draft.
So if it's multiple days, if it's like three hundred
thousand Thursday night, for the first round, and then two
hundred thousand on Friday, and then two hundred thousand on Sunday. Boo,
(37:37):
It's not seven hundred thousand people going to, you know,
Thursday night of the NFL Draft. I mean, we've been
talking about this thing for a couple of years now,
and it just feels like, Hey, it's finally here. You
can see the you can see so many things changing
in the city.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Exciting.
Speaker 16 (37:54):
Man.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
I don't know. I was nervous and scared for it,
but I'm I'm kind of hype for the for the draft.
Speaker 8 (37:58):
Now.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
Sidney Cross, he was on the Pat McFee show for
like half an hour yesterday. We don't hear sid talk
that much. We'll get to that around eight twenty five
and Penguins goalie Stewart Skinner joins the show around nine thirty.
It's Mikey and Bob. If you miss any of our
live show, get caught up every day on the Mikey
(38:20):
and Bob podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (38:22):

by One Team Media.
Speaker 16 (38:26):
He Mikey and Bob.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Mikey just wanted to say.
Speaker 2 (38:29):

Speaker 3 (38:35):

Speaker 16 (38:36):

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Baby Jane Doe was a character on the season finale
of season two of The Pit last night on HBO
Max the Baby Jane Doe and Nurse Dana like that
vocal stem dominated. It's early in the season and all
of a sudden, Baby Jane Doe. Here comes Baby Jane Doe.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Baby Jane Dowe, Baby jans Dou. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
I'm not gonna spoil what happened to Baby Jane Doe
in the episode, or does anything happen.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
To Baby Jay You have to watch a bit. I
don't spoil very much.
Speaker 10 (39:07):
And also happy Birthday out.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Okay, all right, you build me up and say, hey,
you got a good little pit vocal stand with Baby
Jane Doe. And then you're ruin it with Happy Birthday
Bob wishing him a happy birthday on a day that's
not his birthday because he's in New Year's Baby January first,
thank you is his birthday? Keep going there all right?
By the way, speaking of the Pit, we will get
to a season two finale recap. Like no spoilers though,
(39:33):

They passed out candy in a life size replica of
the Stanley Cup, but I made it out of cardboard
and alumle bitum afoil.

pain all right, a little bit, let's go poot it
and and don't do it.
Speaker 1 (41:31):

So much going on in the city, the Dream, the Postman.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Everybody wishes Bob a damn happy birthday.
Speaker 13 (41:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
Sidney Crosby said a bunch of words on the Pat
McAfee show yesterday. It's very rare that sid talks for
as long as he did yesterday. We will get to
some of what he had to say coming up around
eight twenty five and Penguin's goalie Stewart Skinner joins the
show around nine thirty.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
It's mike Yambaba, kiss hey real quick, because.
Speaker 2 (42:08):

Speaker 17 (42:34):
Ben.
Speaker 13 (42:35):
I would like to win the TI ticket to the
Penns playoff game. First playoff game they had forever and
with my granddaughter. She's got four little ones at home,
so this would be a great day off for mommy
and grammy. Yeah, yes, so please pick us DC Galpens
(42:55):
Go don Done with Billy, done with.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Phil Wait, dude, I'm telling you this city, Cities, this
city's feeling a way about this. Penguinea go BM Goalpens,
Go Pens.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Done with Billy, with Philly, Alight with Relly. You're entered.
Let's get to Sidney Crosby. Now, Sidney Crosby was on
the Pat McAfee show yesterday.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
He was just talking about how this season has, you know,
how it started and how it's ended in the playoffs
here for the uh you know, playoff berth for the Penguins. Yeah.
Speaker 12 (43:29):
I mean I think we just, you know, with so
many changes in the off season. I think we came
into camp just short term. We just want to have
a good start, get things organized and try to try
to get on track. And we had a great start
that really helped. I think a lot of guys that
that came in had something to prove for a lot
of different reasons, whether it was a young guy, whether
it was somebody getting an opportunity that hadn't really guys
(43:52):
on one year deals. They want to prove themselves a
lot of different things. So I think we came together
as a group really quick so that we had some
success and from there we just kind of, you know,
we got some momentum and started to get some belief.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
So it's a good first step.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
Excited over there, Bob Sid Sid talking up there, huh,
Sid saying they believe.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
The boys in the locker room.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
Okay, all right, let's get to Sydney Crosby just talking about,
you know, coming in in the rivalry, he said, with
the Flyers.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Over the years.
Speaker 12 (44:24):
Well, I think it was there, you know before I
started playing, So I think I was told about it.
I heard about it, but I hadn't really experienced it.
And then, you know, my first game I got to
figure out pretty quickly what it was all about. So
I think there wasn't a much of a feeling out
process there. I think it, you know, it was everything
I expected and more right from the start. And then
(44:44):
you throw in the playoff series and you throw you know,
the history that's that's been there for so long.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
Yeah, just exactly what I thought.
Speaker 8 (44:51):
More.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
Yeah, and I know that there's been a lot of
even before sid Like he said, there's been a lot
of Penguins Flyers rivalry and everything like that. I mean
got I can't even tell you how many times me
and Bob sat out at the big screen for Penguins
Flyers playoff games and just the hatred of Flyers and
booing Flyers fans that would walk by in everything. It's
been a rivalry. I'd be honest. I don't, uh, I
(45:14):
don't really know too much about the Flyers this year.
They don't have like the guys they used to have
that I haven't hatred for yet. Dude has been out
of it for a couple of years. Flyers haven't been
great for a couple of years. Yeah, we're both back.
Speaker 1 (45:26):
Hey give it.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
We might be two games into this and then it'll
kick back up. Like it's not gonna take long. Oh,
I'm gonna hate all the dudes on Flyers. I just
gotta I just gotta know who they are first, and
when I know, all right, don't like that.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Guy, he just hits it.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
Sidney Crosby was asked again, this is on the Pat
McAfee show yesterday. You can look up the full interview.
He talked to sit for like half an hour on YouTube.
What still drives Sidney Crosby.
Speaker 12 (45:50):
I think this, you know, playoffs, just competing in you know,
big games, meaningful games, the camaraderie with the group, being
part of a team that does never get old, the competition,
you know, everything that goes into that, and being part
of those big games, and then just being part of
a group.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
I love coming to the rink every day.
Speaker 12 (46:10):
I love being around the guys, man, and we got
a great group here, so it's been a lot of
fun and I want to keep that going. So I
think that's you know, those are probably the two biggest things.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Hey, this is scary for the rest of the NHL.
And I'm gonna say right now, Sydney Crosby's locked in.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Watch out, watch out. Don't let them get hot. They're
already in. Don't let them get let them get hot,
all right.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
If you want Penguins playoff tickets for tomorrow night game
one Saturday, just send us a talkback message with a
little bit and let's go Pens.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Through the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
Bob, I feel like me and you have a couple
of blind spots on the show. One of them is
usually the Bravo shows. I don't feel like we have
a good handle on a lot of the Bravo shows.
I know, the big Summer House reunion that a lot
of people are going to talk about will be coming
up soon. We've dabbled in the Bravo shows, but like
there are you know, they're they're their own, fully committed,
(47:04):
like there's a Bravo versus of it's that just lives
on on its own. And then I also think we
have a blind spot of just when there's podcast or
beef too, you know, like the Alex on Alex.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
Drama that's been happening this week.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
But hold on, let's get to this talkback message brought
to us by the Pavement Group Mikey and Bob.
Speaker 20 (47:22):
You guys gotta listen to both sides about Alex and
Alex before you start talking.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
Y'all.
Speaker 21 (47:29):
Alex Earl is in front.
Speaker 7 (47:32):
Okay, first of all, don't know dance with the Stars,
that's all what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
Look her up.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Now, you got it all wrong.
Speaker 9 (47:42):
My boys.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
Listen between the Alex and Alex drama, right yeah, Alex
Cooper from Call Her Daddy, Alex Arle, I guess dancing
with the Stars is the most mainstream thing she's done.
I know, but it doesn't feel like we can say
Alex Hurle from Dancing with the Stars.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
Social media.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
She's done a bunch of stuff, but like Dancing with
the Stars is a network show, and listen, this is
blind spot for us too, because yesterday I was scrolling
through my feed and I saw chicken fry got into it,
and I was like, whoa if chicken fries involved. Now
I'm tapping out. This is too much like bar Barstool's
tapped in. Yeah, I mean call her daddy used to
be a barschool creation. Okay, I was gonna say, we
(48:23):
don't have a good hit. This sounds like you know
all the players and you have a good handle on this, Bob.
I don't know what the chicken fry beef is, but yeah, uh.
CinemaCon continued, Man, I wish I was at CinemaCon. I've
never been to one of those conventions like Comic Con,
CinemaCon or anything like that. Bob Con, Well, I've never
(48:43):
been to that either because we've never actually had it.
But CINEMACN was happening, and I think the big headline
was Avengers doomsday trailer.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
This is.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
You know, Everybody's coming back. Robert Downey Junior's Doctor Doom.
They showed the first ever trailer for it. Would you
survive a day at Cinema con No. No, with the
amount of stuff they roll out and trailers and all that.
The actors are there talking about the movies. No, No,
I don't even think I'm gonna survive the Target Pokemon
(49:15):
drop that they announced yesterday with all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
You see, all that stuff. Target's gonna be rolling out
with Pokemon.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
It is unbelievable. I don't even think I'm gonna be
able to handle that. I can't handle anything right now.
It's always over seventy items. Oh my god, I saw
there was a trapper Keeper, like a nineties trapper Keeper.
There was a new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu
that came out yesterday at cinemacn That movie comes out
May twenty second more footage from Toy Story five where
(49:42):
Woody and Buzz we're fighting over who can save the
toys from digital extinction. Toy Story five will be out
June nineteenth. There was also a new trailer for Spaceballs too.
Let me tell you about Spaceballs kids. You know how
you know it'll be a scary movie series. He's sort
of spoofed a bunch of pop culture things and scary
(50:04):
movies and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
Spaceballs was our scary movie back in the day.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
It was.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
It basically just made fun of other movies. Really, it's
a sort of a Star Wars parody. But Spaceball's too.
I mean, gosh, how long has ben since the first
Spaseball's That movie is gonna be coming out April of
next year. Top Gone three is officially in the works
with Tom Cruise coming back, and there's gonna be another
Lord of the Rings movie, Lord of the Rings, The
(50:30):
Hunt for Gollum.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
Oh, give me some more Lord of the Rings. Let's
go December twenty twenty seven. Hope, I'm alive for that.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Give me something to live for new Lord of the
Rings movie. All right, I gotta make it to the
end of twenty twenty seven at least. Okay, we will
give you a spoiler free recap with some hidden treats
here and there to talk about about the season two
finale of The Pit that happened last night.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
We'll get to that.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Around eight fifty five, brand new Olivia Rodrigo saw called
drop Dad coming up around nine am for New Music
Friday and Penguin's goalie Stewart Skinner. He's gonna be on
the show around nine thirty. It's Mikey and Bob nas.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
I'm Michayan bum Page.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
Anybody answer you?
Speaker 10 (51:19):
No?
Speaker 2 (51:20):
No answer?
Speaker 1 (51:21):
All right?
Speaker 2 (51:21):
Well, still a mystery why it smells like sausage here
and only Bob can smell it? Creams the Mikey and
Bob Podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.
New Music Friday, brand new song from Olivia Rodrigo called
drop Dad coming up next year in just a couple
of minutes.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
On the Kiss Morning Freak Show, it is Mikey and Bob.
It's over.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
This season two finale of The Pit on HBO Max
was last night. Of course, this is Everybody's Pittsburgh Hospital Show.
Absolutely love this show. Our friend Aunt Kaka, when I
came in this morning, she had left this message from
watching The Pit last night, the ending.
Speaker 10 (52:05):
I don't want to give it a hit, spoil it.
Baby Jane Dout.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
Baby Jau, Baby Jane bab Jane Dout.
Speaker 10 (52:12):
I know, Okay Cocker, such a good show.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
Yeah, I know, such a good show. It's so good.
Everybody's going to be nominated for awards again. Yeah, they
did it again, Like like this this is going to
win more awards with this season. There weren't an overwhelming
amount of Pittsburgh references in this show, which honestly didn't
surprise me. I feel like earlier in the show, it's
(52:38):
where they sort of go nuts with the you know,
the furry episode and things like that. But there are
there is a scene where they're watching the fireworks again
this is fourth of July. It common sense leads you
to believe that they're going to watch the fireworks at
some point, right, and they do, and you see like
great shots of just the skyline and downtown and that
(53:00):
was pretty cool. H They also, you know, a couple
of them are drinking Iron City beer while they're watching
the fireworks. That was something that happened at the finale
of season one too, Remember when they all went across
the street after their shift was done and popped open
a cooler with some Iron Cities and it just eased
the pain. So it seems like drinking Iron City beer
(53:22):
for the season finale.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
They're two for two so far, so that might be
a thing. Moving forward on the pit.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
Pounding irons and watching works with the skyline, Like, yeah,
that's the perfect way to wrap up that season.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
Not that that wrapped everything up, but it's great. It's great.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
Doctor Alashimi, right, bron who is the uh the one
who came in to sort of replace Robbie because he's
gonna go on his sabbatical all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
The actress uh sepediah Malafe.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
She plays doctor Alashimi, and you notice how she is
just sort of melting down and you know this is
her first day there and she's gonna take over and everything.
So after the episode of the Pit, they do sort
of a behind the scenes thing and she was just
talking about how they wanted to make her, you know,
(54:19):
follow all the rules at the beginning, be very well
put together, and then you watch her sort of descend
into you know, how it all maybe sort ends for her.
Speaker 22 (54:29):
I remember reading in the character description there's something about
the way that she presents herself that it's important to
who she is being in a position of.
Speaker 1 (54:36):
Power, being at Robbie's level.
Speaker 22 (54:38):
And then throughout the day you'll see the makeup fae,
the hair get looser. These are all things that are
brilliant hair and makeup team.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
Keep an eye on. I Yeah.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
One question for season three though, and it might not
even be a see a thing in season three, but
baby Jang.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Dout, Why is she getting down? Baby Jed Dell? Where's
she good?
Speaker 21 (54:55):
Go?
Speaker 1 (54:55):
Are we done with Baby Jane Doubt? Is there gonna
be follow ups to Baby Jane Deak.
Speaker 2 (54:59):
Without any spoiler Baby Jane Dolle header moment? Yeah, it
did sort of build up, and there was a Baby
Jane Doe moment also. I told everybody yesterday there's like
a bonus scene after the credits. It's not after the credits.
It's pretty quick right after the episode. You're not gonna
miss it, but you just stick around. Hey, it's so great.
It's not like a serious thing that sends you into
season three. It's not a cliffhanger, it's not all it's
(55:23):
not Baby Jane Dolle. It's such a great story written
so well, and the emotional I mean that that final
episode there there's so many different storylines and everything's going
one way or another way, and then that bonus scene
hits and you're just like it brings you back.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
It just says like, all right, I'm great.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
I'm watching a show that's supposed to entertain me, and
this is this is a pretty cool You know, you
leave watching season two finale of the Pit if you
watch that last scene there when the credits start rolling,
it sort of leaves you with the smile on your face,
even though I wouldn't say it was the happiest of episodes.
And by the way, season three will be filming in
(56:02):
Pittsburgh in November. They're already come back season three. They
want it to be a little colder, so they're going
from July fourth. It's gonna skip ahead, you know, a
few months, couple months cold weather action there, Stiller season, Oh,
Stopplebus season. I'm just ay season three, just still mention
(56:26):
say our names, Just say our names. Somebody rolls in
on a gurny. What happened to there? Listening to Mike
and Bob? Got distracted and slid off the road? You know,
black Eye? Somebody comes in for their shift. What's so funny?
Oh do you hear Mike and Bob this morning?
Speaker 1 (56:40):
I will die.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
I will die if we ever get mentioned on all right,
we have Penguin's goalie Stewart Skinner coming up on the
shows they get ready to start their playoff series with
the Flyers. Around nine thirty, here is the brand new
Olivia Rodrigo song for New Music.
Speaker 1 (56:56):
Friday, Fireheart Radio New Music Friday.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
Penguins goalie Stewart Skinner joins us around nine point thirty
here on the Kiss Morning Freak Show as the Penguins
kickoff there Stanley Cup playoff series against the Philadelphia Flyers,
Game one Saturday at eight pm at Home. Of course,
the setups still going on for the NFL Draft. Now
we can say less than a week away Pittsburgh. Let's
(57:26):
get to another talkback message here set them through the
free iHeartRadio approa to us by One Team Media.
Speaker 10 (57:32):
It's Jen from beaver Fall again. You know, I keep hearing.
Speaker 23 (57:35):
People talking about the potholes when people come in for
the draft.
Speaker 10 (57:39):
And some of the places to go see while they're
in town.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (57:43):
Sure, but nobody really talked about the real thing that
happens in Pittsburgh, the sholes.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
Oh jeez, I think we need to keep.
Speaker 10 (57:51):
An eye out for that.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Why did you have to say it? Why do you
have to even put that out there in the Yins verse?
A draft?
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Think hole monster? Let me tell you just wait and
eat something. Sink Holes better be on their best. We
cannot have one of one of them bus eating sinkholes.
Like let me those buses. Okay, sinkholes, the ones we
can deal with. The world's watching on. Sink is not
gonna be good. If a sinkhole opens up and eats
(58:18):
multiple vehicles, that is not gonna be good. When the
drafts happening, keep it together for the next week or
soul sinkholes.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Okay, if you.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
Want to eat a bus in May, you can't, all right,
but just behavior not not in the next few days.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
World's watching, okay.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
All right, sink hole. Uh, let's get to the Pittsburgh
Police scanner. There's just one thing again, the Pittsburgh Police scanner.
A couple of people will just listen to the scanner
and report on what is happening.
Speaker 1 (58:47):
In and around our city.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
Bloomfield, multiple callers reported a multi vehicle crash. There's reportedly
a WWE ae W style street fight going on between
the drivers. I think we got some people that were
on the road to WrestleMania and Bloomfield. They got into
a multi vehicle accident, a Bloomfield street fight, and then
(59:12):
they just get.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
Out and start fighting.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
I don't know of a bloom Bloomfield street fights, by
the way, Uh huh, there's no referees for that. Bloomfield
street fights are unsanctioned. They are unsan anything goes in
a Bloomfield street fight. God weapons, if you can find uh,
if you can find a Parking county.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
He hit him with a dozen progies. Hey, everybody, chill out. Okay,
I know we're on the road to WrestleMania. Respect each other.
That's what's happening in and around our city.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
You have it till noon today to try to enter
for some Penguins Flyers Game one Round one playoff tickets, which,
of course Stanley Cup playoffs are starting tomorrow here in Pittsburgh.
Game two will be on Monday. The whole schedule is out,
but game one is coming up tomorrow. All you gotta
do is get on the free iHeartRadio app, send us
(01:00:15):
let's go Penn's talkback message. Maybe tell us who you
want to take to the game, why you want to
go to the game, and we'll qualify you for some
Penguins tickets. You have until noon today to enter to.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Go see this guy? Is he there Penguin's goalie Stuart Skinner.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
Hi, this is Skinner call.
Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
It had to do it, man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
That has to feel good having Penguins fans chant your
name now, doesn't it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
It's got to feel good that you got the thing now, right.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
We are big on mustaches here in Pittsburgh, and you
have just an incredible one. My best friend over here
that I do the show with, his name is Bob.
He has an incredible mustache too.
Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
He's a bigger guy. Ours is right on par with his. Though,
I would say, Stu, really, how.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Yeah, yeah, how is it keeping up with the mustache?
Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Does it grow fast for you? Is it a life's
work for you?
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
It's a life's work.
Speaker 21 (01:01:14):
I started it out when I was about twenty years old,
so yeah, I just ended up really loving, loving it
as I kind of did it just for November and
stuck with it from there.
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Dude, same thing happened to me.
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
I did it as a joke, Stu, like it was
just it was supposed to be this quick thing, and
then I started looking at myself in the mirror and
I was just like, man, I was supposed to have
this thing my whole life.
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Yeah, exactly. I liked in the mirror too, and I
was like, this is who.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
I am now am I like it that you guys
are mustache bonding here.
Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
Yeah, it takes a lot of work to keep it
keep it clean, though, I'll keep it nice and nice
and clean.
Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
I don't think most people understand the work that goes
into keeping and maintaining a mustache.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
There's a whole like underbush that nobody sees. Under bush.
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Oh yeah, there's an underbush.
Speaker 21 (01:02:01):
And like when you have a latte a coffee shop, buddy,
it's always getting in the mustag.
Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
How's your playoff beard game? Do you go full beard?
You go full bush on the beard too? Does it
grow in quick?
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Yeah, it'll be.
Speaker 21 (01:02:12):
It'll grow pretty fast. I'm gonna shave today and then
it grows pretty quick. I go full beard, though, Like
I just I let everything, Let everything.
Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Grow, Let the hairy scary run wild. I like this
that he's adding he's shaving. He's shaving today. Then the
playoffs start and then it's just it's it's full bush playoffs.
Speaker 8 (01:02:32):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
It's Mikey about the Kiss Morning Freak Show talking to
Pegwin's goalie Stewart Skinner.
Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
Do you have any superstitions. I know we know here
in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Sydney Crosby is just an absolute maniac when it comes
to the superstitions. Do you have any superstitions that you
do for the playoffs or do you just get ready
for a big game.
Speaker 21 (01:02:49):
The superstition that I have is just my timing on things.
There's certain times that I do things, but it told
me at the ring. For an example, I I dressed
the same time before the game, on my chest protector
on at the same time, just on the clock before
warm up, and it's just so that I can kind
of get my routines in. But it's not necessarily a
(01:03:12):
superstition either, Like, yeah, if I missed the time, I'm
not worried about how I'm gonna play. I'll still play.
And there's been days where I've done absolutely nothing in
my routine and I still played well.
Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
So I think superstitions are just puts you in.
Speaker 21 (01:03:28):
A mindset where you're in a routine that makes you
feel good going into the game.
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
Penguin's goalie Stewart Skinner joining us here on the Case
Morning Freak Show. Now, I know you came from Edmonton.
There was the trade that happened and everything, and now
that you've had, you know, some months here in Pittsburgh,
just what is your feeling going into the playoffs about
the city and the Penguins fan base, because it's about
to get love in there.
Speaker 21 (01:03:51):
Yeah, I'm so excited. I am so so excited. I mean,
I remember playing Philly actually for the first time this
year with the Pens, and I didn't really understand the
rivalry yet. So when I went in there, you know,
the guys were talking about how like how loud the
barn is gonna be and how how the fans get
up for it, and the fans are just amazing here.
And I remember playing that first game and I was like, wow,
(01:04:14):
this feels like a playoff game, and that's obviously great
regular season. So it's I'm super super stoked, super excited
to see see how loud the fans get here. And
I mean, what a fan base. These guys are so supportive,
they love their hockey. I mean, it's such a great city.
I love the city. I've loved living here. I love
(01:04:35):
the people here. That people are like the nicest people
in the world. It's it's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
It's been a couple of years since a playoff run too,
So I think the building's going to be up for
it and people.
Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Are gonna be ready to go wild. We've been starving
for it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Yeah, I love that. I love that.
Speaker 21 (01:04:49):
I'm excited for it too.
Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
I mean we've had a couple of Cup runs, like,
you know, not recent recent, but recent enough to remember
what it feels like. And one of the one of
the last Cup runs we had Phil Kessel here in
uh In. Famously he took a picture on golf course.
You may have seen it with hot dogs in the
Stanley Cup because hot dogs were like his thing and everything.
(01:05:14):
If I don't want to drink anything, but listen, if
things go how we wanted to go, and there's a
sweaty parade in a few months in Pittsburgh, what would you.
Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
Be putting in the in the Stanley Cup. I'm sure
as a hockey player you thought of this.
Speaker 16 (01:05:29):
Well.
Speaker 21 (01:05:30):
I've thought about the first thing I would put in
the cup, which is which are my boys? Very good
picture of them in there.
Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
But something to eat?
Speaker 21 (01:05:39):
Probably probably either something simple like cereal or something a
little bit more more dinner type. I would probably go
a sushi.
Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
You know, It's probably something where you're gonna have friends
and family around and things are gonna get weird and
just everything's gonna eventually get.
Speaker 10 (01:05:55):
Put in the cup.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
Yeah, they'll there'll be a whole bunch of stuff going
in there.
Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
There probably can't be a better feeling than waking up
with the Stanley Cup and bringing it over to the
table for family breakfast and just pouring cereal in it
for everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Man, I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
I'm not even invited in breakfast at your house, and I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
Ready you're invited.
Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
Oh, we're going to breakfast that stud's house. He doesn't
even know our games. Hey, man, we we uh we
love you here in Pittsburgh. We've been chanting flurry, flurry, flurry.
Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
For so many years, and now we get a chant
going into the playoffs. Man, we are so excited for
this run for you and the boys, and let's have
some fun. Man, We appreciate you waking up and taking
a couple of minutes with us.
Speaker 21 (01:06:44):
Oh, of course, anytime it's gonna be, it's gonna be
a blast. Really excited about it, all right, Stude.
Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
Thank you so much. Man, have a good have a
good run, bod, Good luck with that playoff. Beard yeah,
thank you if I will.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Didn't really expect watching the season two finale of The
Pit last night on HBO Max to have one of
the trending things be singer Alanis Morris set but if
if you know, you know, yeah, a very emotional, taxing
episode of the Pit. But then something kind of funny.
(01:07:22):
That's Mikey Bob the ninety six to one Kiss Morning
Freak Show. Thank you again to Penguins goalie Stuart Skinner
for joining the show.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
I like Stu man.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
By the way, did he invite us if the Penguins
win the Stanley Cup over for breakfast?
Speaker 14 (01:07:34):
He did.
Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
I'm pretty sure that happened. Everybody hear that we have
that on tape, right. That mean we get to sleep
over too, well. I mean Stuart's friends and family are
