Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the 96.1 This Morning Freak Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
The text that I get last night, 925 from Bob.
I was asleep, by the way. Fell asleep in the
fourth quarter of the Steelers' preseason game. They lose to
the Buffalo Bills, 28-27. Preseason's over. It's time for real football.
I get a text from Bob, 925 last night. I'm

(00:25):
already asleep, and it just says, Rico Bossy. Our guy.
Our guy did it. All right. We're talking about, of course,
the fourth quarter punt return in the preseason by Steelers
rookie returner Caden Weijin, who we named our Rico Bussey.

(00:45):
Player of Steelers camp. Rico Bussey award winner. Put one
in the end zone. Now, Rico Bussey, again, years ago,
was this wide receiver at Steelers training camp who caught everything.
He was amazing. And then he, like, made practice squad
and then got caught. So every year, we pick somebody.
This year, we picked this rookie, Caden Weijin.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Said, hey.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
This guy can do a lot. Everybody's talking about this guy.
And then he returns a punt. I mean, he's going
to make the team now, right? He's going to make
the team. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I love that you text.
I woke up to a text from you. All caps,
Rico Bossy. How confused were you? You're like, what? Well, no,
I knew exactly what happened. I knew it was a

(01:27):
Weejan play. You knew he had to put one in
the end zone? I didn't know he returned a punt
for a touchdown. But when I woke up, I was
just like, oh, man, Weejan must have had a game.
Then I saw the punt return up. I'm like, oh,
he's making the team for sure. It was like one
of the small shining spots yesterday, that game. Yeah. Man,
he did it. It's just tough to watch preseason. Yeah.
Especially in the second half, you're just, okay, third, four

(01:49):
stringers are in here, guys that aren't going to make
the team. It's tough to watch. It's tough to evaluate
quarterbacks because they're– playing behind a line that's not the
real offensive line, throwing to receivers who aren't the real receivers.
You know, like Will Howard's out there, Drew Aller's out there.
They ain't throwing to DK Metcalf, you know? No, they're

(02:09):
throwing passes. They're just bouncing off guys' hands. All right,
so you know what we're going to do? A Steelers
game happened yesterday. We will get to the first round
of Steelers Facebook comments after they lose to the Bills
in the preseason. Coming up around 7-10, it's Mikey and Bob.
Questioning whether or not my best friend since childhood over here, Bob,

(02:32):
made the Pittsburgh police scanner last night. I'm questioning if
it was you out in these streets doing something that
somebody may have called the cops for. Yeah. Bob might've
made the Pittsburgh police scanner. We'll get to that coming
up around six 25 here. It is Mikey and Bob
on 96 one kiss. Let's get to a talk back
message real quick here, brought to us by one team media.

(02:54):
If you want to be part of the show today,
just download our free I heart radio app. You can
send us talk back message when you're, streaming the station.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
This message is for Bob. I'm going to make you
feel so much better about your Max Ihanachor screw-up last
week or this week.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, it was an all-timer. Bob trying to say Steelers
rookie offensive lineman Max Ihanachor. Max Ihanachor. It's unbelievable. What
language is that even? Max Ihanachor. It's... You can hear
my brain just turn off. I don't even know how
your voice did that. Max is hot. I'm hot. Max
is hot. I'm hot.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
They were talking about his life just now during the
preseason game. I think it was Missy Matthews reporting.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
And she said, each on a four. instead of you
know ehanachor.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah but maybe she was thinking of the old stealer
chooks a cora for maybe that was it maybe she
a hana chored with the cora for and that was
the issue it's a hard it's a hard last name
to say that might have been it is it i
don't know let's see how you did wow i don't
even know what name you threw in there i'm a
hot Max, a jihad, a Mahat. Misty Matthews a little

(04:00):
closer than me on it.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
All right. Let's get to another talkback message here brought
to us by One Team Media. A ambulance and fire truck.
Ambulance and fire truck. Yeah, I'd be the fire truck, right? Longer.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Longer.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Ambulances are thick, man. Yeah. That's a thick vehicle there.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Scouts.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Shorter and thick.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Just listen to the first question of the press conference
after the game. I counted 20. Okay, we can't. Mike
McCarthy after the game. The fact that he meows is
a thing that we really... we we champion here on
the show when he says you know he says it's

(04:38):
so yinzer and so fast it sounds like he says
meow meow meow meow 20 in the first question there's
no way that's true we'll get to mike mccarthy uh
after the steelers preseason game around 6 40 bob possibly
making the police scanner coming up next and steelers facebook
comments around 7 10 this morning it's mikey and bob
96 The Mikey and Bob podcast. Okay, hold on. Everyone

(05:05):
went to school with a kid that could burp like that.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Every one of us did.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Stream the Mikey and Bob podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I got three words for you. Friday night. We're back, baby.
I love it. High school football on Friday night. So
back so many, so many schools will be starting their
football season tonight. So, you know, everybody enjoy the high
school football. And then soon enough, college football be here.

(05:37):
It's all NFL be back. It's all back. And then
we'll almost go every day of the week. Having football
in our lives.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Love it.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Meow? All right.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
We'll get to that coming up. It's Mikey and Bob
here on 96.1 KISS. Bob, we have to get to
the Pittsburgh Police Scanner because, listen, I don't know what
you were doing last night, but I got some questions, bud.
What is going on?

Speaker 6 (06:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
The Pittsburgh Police Scanner. Again, a couple people listening to
Pittsburgh Police Scanner. They have their own website, pgh-scanner.com, and
they report on the things happening in and around our city.
East Allegheny. East Ohio Street. Caller says she keeps tabs
on the local prostitutes.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Why?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And some guy in a white Dodge Ram just picked
one up. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Listen here, bud. No. I know a guy. I'm being framed.
Big guy with a mustache. No, no. Did the driver,
was he wearing a cowboy hat too?

Speaker 5 (06:35):
No, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
What a move. Picking up prostitutes with a cowboy hat on.
A little disguise. I mean, using nice manners too, ma'am.
And tipping your cowboy hat. Dude, I'm telling you, dude.
You sure? I'm being framed. You sure you weren't? Not it.
Were you at home watching the Steeler game or what?

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Yep, yep, yep, yep.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
It wasn't me out there picking up the ladies of
the night. There's another person in it. White Dodge Ram. Yeah,
it wasn't me.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Hard big guy out there. Big guy cosplaying me. Didn't
say anything about him being big. You sure you weren't
out there, man?

Speaker 7 (07:09):
Whoops.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
That's what's happening around our city.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Ding.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
All right, we'll get to Mike McCarthy after the Steelers
preseason loss. 28-27, the Bills coming up next. I don't
believe that he meowed 20 times in the first question,
but we'll find that out. We got a special Bruno
Mars today in Freak Show history coming up around 7 a.m.
in Steelers Facebook comments. Around 7.10, it's Mikey and Bob.

(07:35):
96.1 KISS. The Mikey and Bob Podcast. No thanks. I
like my meat real and my men with chest hair.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Stream the Mikey and Bob podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Hey, thank you for listening to our Mikey and Bob podcast. Now,
whatever you're listening on, we appreciate it. Thank you. But
if you're listening on our free iHeartRadio app, you can
hit that little talkback microphone. Send us a message. You
can send us a message about previous shows, the latest show.

(08:13):
something you want us to cover on the show. Let
us know where you're listening from, too. Oh, yeah, that's fun, too, right?
People in random places. Yeah. Hit that little talkback microphone,
and you can send us a message, and maybe you'll
make the show. All right, we got a talkback message

(08:34):
earlier that said Mike McCarthy, Steelers head coach after the
preseason game last night, was just meowing his ass off
with the first question that was asked to him. I
think they said 20 meows they counted, which I don't
know if we need to keep count, right? But hey,
this is the thing with Mike McCarthy now. Again, you know,
he's from Greenfield. He's a Steeler's head coach now, and

(08:56):
when he says, you know... He says it so fast
in Yinzer, it sounds like he says meow, meow, meow, meow.
So here is just Mike McCarthy after the game. Now,
you can count him if you want. How many times
he says, you know. It sounds like a meow. But
we will try to say meow after it. So you
know that was just a meow.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Right, right.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
So here is just simply Mike McCarthy after the game.
Just really briefly talking to Drew there at the end.

Speaker 8 (09:23):
Obviously, you want to win the game, but for Drew,
you know, He got his first fourth and four call
in an NFL game on Thursday night in the preseason
in Buffalo. He got a two-minute drill. You're usually going
in after the other guys and so forth. I just
think our young players, we're a veteran football team. This
is the oldest team I've had the privilege to coach

(09:45):
as a head coach, but Our young guys got to
play a ton of bowling late, and that excites me.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I got to see captains. Okay, listen. He said the
young guys excite him, and then the meows were like
back to back, right? It's out of control. Young guys,
you know, get excited. You know, captains.

Speaker 8 (10:05):
Take that role today, and that's all part of growing
the whole roster of your team. So there's a lot
of little things, you know, just throughout the travel up
here last night and so forth, and you learn more.
You know, and that's really what I've learned over time.
just to really listen more. I'm proud of these guys.
These guys had to play a lot of football tonight.

(10:25):
I feel really good about our body of work that
we were able to accomplish. It gives us a chance
to set a plan as we go into these next
72 hours, get to roster. This was a good experience.
You want to win a game. It's Winnings, you know,
be competing in everything that we do. You know, we
compete every single day in everything that we do. And

(10:46):
I would like to come out here tonight with a win.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Okay. It might have been 20 in the first question.
I'm going to say yeah. That was an incredible barrage
of meowing by Mike McCarthy. It's unbelievable. I don't remember
what he was even talking about. All he was doing
was meowing. I know at some point the young guys
excited him. He started meowing his ass off. Drew Aller,
and then he got excited. Next thing you know, he's
meowing every third word. We got a whole season to

(11:11):
look forward to of Mike McCarthy meowing on our show.
Can you imagine him fired up after like a Ravens.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Win, man?

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Oh, man. He's not going to be okay, dude. He
might just meow, meow, meow the entire press conference. He
might wear cat ears. On Ravens week. He might fully
embrace the fact that he's just a big, a big
giant cat that we all love and want to give.
He's just meowing out there. All right. Coming up next.
We know we got a big show this weekend, tomorrow
night at Accra.

Speaker 9 (11:37):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
It is sold out. He's going to rip it up.
It is Bruno Mars. One of the best live living performers.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Not even of our generation, just ever. He is incredible.
So hopefully you have tickets for tomorrow night, but we
will get to a special Bruno Mars today in Freak
Show History up next, and then we'll read some Steelers
Facebook comments after the preseason loss up in Buffalo around 7-10.
It's Mikey and Bob. We got sort of the kickoff

(12:08):
of high school football season. It feels like tonight, a
lot of high school football or Friday night lights action
pirates will be back at it in St. Louis tonight,
eight 15 start for that. And also a pit women's volleyball.
They are a problem again this year. They're a top
five team. They take on Kansas at the peak tonight,

(12:28):
six 30 start for the pit women's volleyball team. Again,
they're loaded up this year, going for a natty. Let's
get to this talkback message real quick, Bob. It's our
buddy George here who wants to talk to us about
the stolen Star Wars Phantom Menace Pepsi machine that was
taken from outside the fire department. You know, it's been

(12:51):
a whole thing we've been talking about for a while
on the show. Let's get to George.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Hey, what's going on, fellas?

Speaker 6 (12:54):
George here catching up on Thursday Morning's podcast. Y'all just
gave the update about stealing the vending machine.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Might be a misdemeanor. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
Now, how much of a legal gray area, if you
can reach out to your friend, would it be?

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
If the property owner did not give permission for that
specific vending machine to get put there and the property
owner wants to have somebody come remove it, that might
give us an opening.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Okay. Y'all take it easy. All right. Something comforting about
George saying, y'all take it easy at the end. You
have every one of his messages. George has thought this
out thoroughly. I know, but listen, we have lawyer friends,
Edgar Snyder and associates who I feel like have our
best interest. Yes, they have our best interest at heart.

(13:38):
They do not want us out there committing crimes. Don't
do that. Now, again, a younger Mike and Bob, we
would have had the Pepsi machine already. Oh, 100%. But
more mature Mike and Bob, we're going to leave the
misdemeanors to other people. I'm not out here looking to

(14:00):
commit crimes in my mid-40s, you know? All right, let's
get to another talkback message here. By the way, though,
we do have some information about the– the possibly stolen
Pepsi machine on Mount Washington. We do have some new information.
And I... It just makes me upset about the whole situation.

(14:22):
I'm just upset about the whole situation. But we'll get
to the update coming up around 725 here. It's Mikey
and Bob on 96.1 KISS. Let's get to another talkback
message brought to us by The Pavement Group.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
Hey, guys.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
It's your friend Lauren for Today in Freak Show History.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Since Bruno Mars will be here this weekend, can you
play our favorite kids, Bob, at it?

Speaker 10 (14:39):
Okay, thanks.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Happy birthday, Bob. Okay, Bob. Thank you. Birthday's not until
New Year's Day, but yep, let's get to it. Today
in Freak Show History. Kids bop albums for years on
the show. We have been saying, hey, you know, when

(15:01):
they make all these kids bop albums and they change
the lyrics of songs, some of them are unnecessarily edited
and some are just edited pretty hilariously. Our favorite all
time kids bop at it. was for the Bruno Mars song, who, again,
is in town tomorrow at Akershire. Sold-out show. It's going
to be one of the biggest shows of the summer.

(15:21):
Bruno tomorrow. But here was our all-time favorite Kidz Bop edit.
It was from the Bruno Mars song, What I Like. Okay,
all right. No chance. You and your ass invited, so
go on and get to clapping.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
No chance.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Okay, not you and your ass are invited. You and
your friends are invited. And we're not clapping, by the way.
We're dancing. No popping it. No turn around and dropping it.
Let's see the kids bop at it. Sing it with
a friend. Sing it for me.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
Sing it with a friend.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
That might be the worst one. Sing it with a friend. Sing,
sing it for me. Come on down and dance it
with a friend.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Dance it.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Dance it with me. Dance it with a friend. Dance,
dance it with me.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
We're going to do this.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
All right.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
All right, not too bad right there, right? All right,
now it's Lobster Tail for dinner. Julio, serve that scampi.
What the hell did they do with Julio? Where the
hell is Julio? What did you do with Julio, you monsters?
Lobster Tail for dinner. Then we serve that scampi. Where

(16:40):
is Julio at? What did you do with Julio, Kidz Bop?
You don't serve to Scampi. That's Julio's job. We have
to make our own Scampi.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
No, seriously.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Where's Julio? Why'd they have to take Julio too much?
I don't know. Why'd they just eliminate Julio in that?
All right, let's get to the hook here. This is
the kids bop edit of Bruno Mars. That's what I like. Strawberry. Now,
let me throw this out here. I don't think the
kids are going to be having the strawberry champagne on ice, right?
Probably not, no.

Speaker 11 (17:13):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Strawberry milkshake, so nice.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
Lucky for you, that's what I like.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Can you handle strawberry milkshake? Play it again. Can you
play it again? Can you handle the milkshake line?

Speaker 7 (17:23):
Strawberry milkshake, so nice.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
That's going to be the line that ruins the entire song.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Oh, call it off right now. There ain't no way
there's sex by the fire at night in the, in
the kids bop world.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
No way.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Right. Let's see what we got here. Hang by the
fire at night. Okay, there's no way there's sex by
the fire at night in Kidz Bop World. There's just
hang by the fire at night while we sip strawberry milkshake.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
Strawberry milkshake, so nice.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That's right, strawberry milkshake.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
That's what I like. I think I'm more upset and
angry today. About the missing, stolen, whatever, Star Wars Phantom
Menace Pepsi machine up on Mount Washington. I think I'm
more angry today than I ever have been about it.
And we'll get to that coming up around 725. But

(18:20):
I do believe the Pepsi machine is going to show
back up here soon. I'm just... I don't like this
situation anymore. All of it's making less and less sense.
I don't like this situation anymore. We'll get to the
update coming up around 725 here on 96.1 KISS. It
is Mikey and Bob. Steelers' final preseason game. They go
to Buffalo and lose 28-27. Will Hard had a couple

(18:41):
of touchdown passes. Drew Aller also had a touchdown drive.
Rookie receiver Jeremy Bernard, right? Yeah. He had a touchdown.
And then our guy, Caden Wiegand. The Rico Bussey Steelers
player of camp award, according to Mike and Bob. The
Caden Legion play was the play of the game. It was, right?

(19:02):
Because you're like, all right, we might have a punt
returner guy here. Hey, we told you he's the Rico
Bussey Steelers player of camp. Then he delivers. Keep an
eye on him. He delivers. Unless he gets caught this weekend. No, no.
We'll see. So Steelers lose their final preseason game in Buffalo.
Got to make some cuts now. But first, let's read
the Facebook comments.

Speaker 12 (19:21):
Uh-oh.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
We are going to a very deep, dark place on
the internet. Everyone is a GM. Everyone is a coach.
Everyone is going.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
To get traded. Everything sucks. It's time for Steelers Facebook comments.
Steelers lose 28-27 final preseason game up in Buffalo. Chris L.
in the Steelers Facebook comments. Should have started Drew Aller.
How is playing him with future used car salesmen going
to hell? anything?

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
All right. That's all we're starting. Kirk B. here. Preseason sucked. 90%
of those guys will never play. Glad it's over. Now
go sign Joey Porter Jr. Jason H. Season's about to
be longer than Broderick Jones' long ass.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
What?

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Broderick Jones. Say that to Broderick Jones' face, he'll put
you through a wall. Does Broderick Jones have a long ass?
That's weird, man. How do you have a long ass?

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Two.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Well, I mean, we're all cheek-watching. I mean, offensive lineman here.
Long ass Broderick. John C.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Here.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
Twelve Modelo.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Okay. Herod.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Goal!

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Trying to say Aaron there? A-A-R-O-D. It's only preseason. My
guy is 12 deep. 12 deep. Eric. Eric L.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Here.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
My preseason observations. Will Howard stinks.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Drew Aller shows flashes of being something. Okay. Caden Weejan
returning that punt was the most hopeful thing I see
all preseason. Hell yeah. JC here. Will Howard is Mason
Rudolph Jr. Whoa. Josh K. Steelers crapped their pants. Going
to be another long-ass season. Well, it's going to be
a long-ass season. We got Broderick Jones with long-ass butt cheeks.

(21:08):
Mike D. Will Howard really disappointed me. It takes him
forever to make a decision to throw the ball. He's
going to get killed in the regular season game because
he was playing against a bunch of guys who will
be selling solar panels next week. Scott M should not
have bought a Will Howard jersey.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
I love Ohio State. I was excited. It's a terrible choice.
The jersey regret. Adrian R. Mike McCarthy. Okay. Welcome to
the Pittsburgh Cowboys. We're not. All the hope in the world,
and it all just falls apart. Don't put that voodoo
on us. It's preseason. Ryan T. here in the Steelers'
preseason Facebook comments. Drew Aller behind Aaron Rodgers this season.

(21:47):
Anything else? And Mike McCarthy just sucks, all right? Less why.
Preseason football's like going to see your favorite band play
in a tribute band plays instead. That's accurate. That's exactly
how preseason. It's like you're going to see Blink-185 or
something like that.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
So true.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
You're going to see physically for not whiz Khalifa, Colin
B Tomlin's gone. And our team still sucks. James D
made it through the whole preseason without anyone important. Getting injured.
Seems like a win to me. I mean, that's positive.
That makes sense. Yeah. You know, Roger Jones doesn't have
bruised ass long butt cheeks and Don J here. I'm

(22:27):
not excited about anything.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Okay. All right, bud.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Thanks for watching.

Speaker 7 (22:31):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
We will get to another round of Steelers Facebook comments
coming up around 825 after they lose the final preseason
game up next though. We got some people that want
to talk about stolen Pepsi machine on Mount Washington. We're
starting to get to the bottom of this. Feels like
we know what happened. I'm angry about it. And I
know it's not just the guy on the Internet stole it.
It seems to be more than that now. I'm more

(22:53):
upset about this, I think, than I've ever been. We'll
get to the update. It's evolving. We'll get to the
update around 725. It's Mikey and Bob.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Kiss.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Should be a pretty nice weekend weather-wise today. We're going
to have mixed sun and clouds. Highs near 80 degrees.
It's Mikey and Bob on 96.1 Kiss.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
Now.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
We all know the story, it seems like. There's been
a Star Wars Phantom Menace Pepsi machine up on Mount
Washington right next to the fire station. It's been there
since 1999. And it's just this weird Pittsburgh relic that,
you know, all yinzers seem to know about. It's a thing, right?

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
There's this guy a couple months ago on the Internet.
He steals things from cities that seem unstealable. A couple
months ago, he threatened he was going to steal the
Phantom Menace Pepsi machine. We talked about it on our show.
We had all hands on deck. We said, keep an
eye on the Pepsi machine. He just waited everybody out
for months. And then this week, the Pepsi machine disappeared.

(24:00):
Another Pepsi machine that's not the same one was painted
like that one. and was put in its place. Now,
the guy even sent me a picture, and it looked
like the original one was in a garage or a basement.
Let's get to this talkback message brought to us by
One Team Media. Hey guys, I'm catching up on the podcast,

(24:20):
and we're talking about the Phantom... vending machine thing that
was stolen and Mike.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
If you got the picture sent to you you should
save the picture and see if there's any metadata in
it because if you have the metadata you.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Know where it could be located.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Or like where the picture was took and you could
give it to the police so you could get it
back oh man.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
The police we could raid it we could raid the
house I don't know if I get a crew together.
I don't know if I get the cops involved. If
I can find out where this is at. We'll send
crazy town guy through the front door. Like the juggernaut.
Let me tell you, let me tell you, let me
tell you, we have been assembling a crew here for decades.
We have a friend group that would, would go out

(25:02):
and commit crimes with us. We do. I'm talking, I'm talking,
it'd be, it'd be such a diverse group of people too. Men, women,
children are involved in this, I would think, right? But
hold on, let's get to another talkback message. And this
is where I start to think things unravel. And I
think we're all getting stressed out and worried about this

(25:24):
thing never coming back for no reason at all. Let's
get to this.

Speaker 7 (25:28):
Yo, Mikey and Bob, it's Ryan. I'm back. This damn
vending machine got me thinking. I was looking into Braden Days,
this Braden Days guy.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Yeah, that's the guy who was saying he was going
to steal it, you know, stole it. That's the guy
who sent me a picture. It's the Braden Days guy
on Instagram from California, over a million followers, whatever.

Speaker 7 (25:48):
And I didn't even think about it at first, but
supposedly a lot of his heists are staged. So this
could just be one big staged heist that is.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Kind of fake.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
Joe, it's Ryan again. Let me be clear whenever I
say fake or staged. I don't mean like he didn't
actually do it because obviously the machine's gone.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, I mean, I have a picture of it sitting
in like a basement.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
But usually the people that he's stealing from are in
on the heist.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Better not be. So, I mean, maybe the firefighters are
in on it.

Speaker 7 (26:24):
Who knows?

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I don't know. So weird.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
You think the firefighters are in on it? This is
why I say I'm more angry about this than I
ever have been. Because if this is all fake, this
is all staged. Just for a YouTube video or a
quick video he can post on Instagram to his millions
of followers. Then it's just cool. You put the whole

(26:48):
city through all this for nothing. Like, ooh, I hate pranks.
I hate prank videos. And listen, if them firefighters knew
anything about this and they've been keeping their mouth shut. Listen.
I trust the firefighters. Firefighters ain't doing nothing wrong. Everybody
loves firefighters. You would think they're, you know, when you
break it down, though, and you start thinking about it

(27:09):
a little deeper, you'd think there'd be cameras all over
a firehouse. Security cameras that would catch things. And they
would be a red flag or raise an alarm that
something was being stolen outside your literal front door. If
this thing. is not like stolen stolen and gone if
this thing is just like getting repaired or something and

(27:30):
this was all part of it and the firefighters are
in on it if this thing's just a wacky internet
goof like the rest of the staged videos on the
internet make me for clop made me angry Yeah, that
wouldn't be cool. Nah, it's not something I'd be like, oh,
you got us. I'd be like, screw you. You're not
allowed in Pittsburgh anymore. I got a message from somebody

(27:53):
on Instagram. I'll hold their name back, but they were
DMing this Braden kid's Instagram account and just coming at
him from a really normal, not like just cussing at
him or like saying awful things.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Something like, Hey, this, this dumb machine meant a lot
to people in Pittsburgh. That literally was like one of their,
their texts to this guy. She's like, I don't think
you understand how much this means to Pittsburgh and how
much Pittsburgh loves and respects this thing. There's a bunch
of people that don't find this funny. And you heard
some people's feelings.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Again, we're talking about the vending machine, the star Wars
fan of menace vending machine that was taken on my Washington.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
So the Braden kid who allegedly took it. Yeah. It says,
don't worry. It's safe. And I'm sorry for upsetting you.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (28:36):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
All right. And then the person goes back to him
and just like, literally, are you going to bring it
back then with a question mark? And Braden responded, the
vending machine shall return. Okay. See, that's why I'm more
upset about this now than ever. So the guy who
took it said it's going to be back, which then
makes me believe, are there people in on it? Are

(29:00):
the firefighters in on it? I mean, the world we
live in, it's all just for clicks and views, so...
I know. I mean, everything we do is for clicks
and views, kind of, too. But I just... There's enough
stressful things in the world right now. We don't need
to have our Phantom Menace Pepsi machine. One little stupid

(29:23):
thing that brings us Yinzer's joy. We don't need an
outsider taking it. It's not life or death, but it
puts me in a crappy mood. Of it being stolen is, like,
if you take a step back and just go, man,
it's really weird that that got stolen directly outside of
a firehouse. like feet away from the main door firefighters

(29:43):
and i hope you don't have anything to do with
the firefighters that's weird we're starting to get to the
bottom of this thing it sort of feels like it
was staged now the guy said it's going to return
which then let's get to the next phase of that
then whatever fake-ass vending machine that's been painted to look
like Star Wars Phantom Menace, I still want that vending

(30:04):
machine in our studio. So do I. I still want
that vending machine in our studio. Zara Larson performing in
a couple weeks at our iHeartRadio Music Festival out in Vegas,
September 18th and 19th. You'll be able to hear both
nights on 96.1 KISS. You'll also be able to stream
it on Disney Plus and Hulu. Your chance to win
a full trip to Vegas for it and $ 1, 000 coming

(30:27):
up around 9, 10. It is Mikey and Bob here
on 96.1 KISS. Bob, it's time to say something nice. Ooh-wee!

Speaker 5 (30:36):
Say something nice. Say something nice.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
This is where we like to spread some positivity on
the show. What's up, boys? I got to say something nice.
I think this has been said before, but shout out
to the mailman. Yeah, all the mail people out there.
I've got a 50-pound dehumidifier delivered. That poor guy had
to carry it uphill in this 80-degree heat. He gets
paid the same whether he has one delivery like that

(31:00):
or 50. Bobo deserves all those vacations.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
He takes, man.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Bobo the mailman. Yeah, he always sends us messages. Tropical places. Yeah,
he does. He deserves all the vacations. Shout out to
all the mail carriers out there. All the Amazon drivers,
package delivery people.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Say something nice. Say something nice.

Speaker 11 (31:23):
Good morning, busting farts and breaking hearts.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Okay. I think I'm breaking hearts. Yeah, I do think
you are breaking hearts. I think that I would be
more of the fart buster and you would be more
of the heartbreaker.

Speaker 11 (31:38):
It's your girl, Opal. I wanted to say something nice.
Say something nice.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Wait, you wanted to do a little....

Speaker 5 (31:48):
Say something nice! Say something nice!

Speaker 11 (31:51):
I just want to say that I probably have the
best daughter a single parent could ever ask for.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
19 years of.

Speaker 11 (32:00):
Having a child by myself has been really hard, but
I love her so much.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Hell yeah.

Speaker 11 (32:05):
I want to wish her a happy birthday tomorrow. Bob,
you got a birthday twin tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
No, Bob doesn't have a birthday. No, no. Tomorrow. Let
me check.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Nope.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Tomorrow's not New Year's Day, which means it's not Bob's
birthday tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
Oh, say something nice. Say something nice.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Say something nice. Say something nice. Okay. Very nice. I
like it.

Speaker 10 (32:28):
I want to say something nice to my co-worker, Russ.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Russ?

Speaker 10 (32:31):
He brought in a hot dog roller machine a couple
months ago, and now we have Hot Dog Friday every
couple weeks, and it boosts morale greatly, and it's the best.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
My gosh. Does this guy have a desk roller? Like,
he has a hot dog roller in the office? Russ. MVP.
What a genius. I like that it's not hot dogs
all the time, either. It's Hot Dog Roller Friday. Special.
That's what says something nice. It's about the unsung heroes
of Pittsburgh. And Russ is one of them. Because he

(33:04):
bought a hot dog roller for the office, and they
have Hot Dog Roller Fridays now. Unbelievable. It's a power
move right there. Everybody looking forward to Friday. Why Hot
Dog Roller Friday? Thank you, Russ.

Speaker 9 (33:16):
Yeah!

Speaker 5 (33:20):
Say something nice. Say something nice.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
All right, you can continue to send your say something
nice talkback messages through the free iHeartRadio app. Again, we'll
pick some people at random, too, to win a $ 100
GetGo gift card. Fuel up. We got Labor Day weekend
coming up. Get your gas. Get your snacks. Get your drinks.
All of it at GetGo. We'll give away some $ 100
get-go gift cards just for people who send say-something nice

(33:44):
messages in this week. All right, we got another round
of Steelers Facebook comments coming up around 825. It's Mikey
and Bob.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
96.1 KISS.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
The Mikey and Bob Podcast. New Music Friday here on
96.1 KISS and the free iHeartRadio app. We got the
brand new song from Jonas Brothers. That is called Listen
When Sad. New Music Friday. New Jonas Brothers coming up next.
And then around 9 a.m., the brand new song from

(34:11):
Alex Warren. He's got another new song out. New Music
Friday here on 96.1 KISS. Right now, though, let's get
to some of your talkback messages. Send them through the
free iHeartRadio app. Talkback messages on the show brought to
us by One Team Media.

Speaker 8 (34:25):
Morning, fellas.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Cornhole Joe here. So I don't want to speak on
behalf of all the movies, but I definitely think that
you guys altering your voices, making them sound slower like
Central Tomlin needs to be a segment. Yeah, we did
this on the show yesterday because earlier this week, our
voices were slowed down for the first segment of our show.
That was on accident. It was like an equipment issue. Yeah.

(34:48):
And then we realized that people kind of enjoyed it.
Regular segment. Bob looking up something on Facebook Marketplace and
just reading it in that voice is... Yeah, yeah. Radio Gold.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
You guys sound like Kevin McAllister in Home Alone 2
when he's booking a room at the Plaza Hotel.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Absolutely love it. Please keep it going. Last year and
in previous years, we would take Coach Tomlin press conferences
and pitch him down to sound all sensual. Yesterday on
the show, we discovered that we can slow ourselves down. Bob,
I'm pretty sure that needs to be the segment. Is
you finding the random crap on Facebook Marketplace that you do...

(35:27):
And then we read it in slowed down voices.

Speaker 9 (35:30):
Why?

Speaker 2 (35:30):
I don't know. None of this needs to make sense
at all. Let it happen. It doesn't have to make sense.
Get to another one here.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
Hey, boys.

Speaker 9 (35:37):
Hope you are doing well and having a good week
so far. The slowed down version of you guys just
unlocked a new show segment. We absolutely have to hear
that at least once a show. And the next time
you guys do it or maybe an upcoming show, you
guys got to do it in the rich guy voice segment. Oh, yeah, daddy.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Okay. Yeah, daddy. See, this is how things get born
on our show, right? So this is how a new
segment called Slow Down Facebook Marketplace, this is how this happens.
It happens by accident. Let's get to another talkback message here. Hi, boys.
So I'm catching up on today's podcast.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
And question, can we have Sensible Facebook Marketplace.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Be a staple on the show now? Okay. Bob's going
to go on it anyway. Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 8 (36:22):
So why not just bring it?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
A part of the show because central Facebook marketplace is
probably one of my favorite segments right now. Okay. We've
only done it one time. Central marketplace. All right. So
if you missed the first edition of central marketplace. This
can't be. Is this going to be a thing on
the show? And here we go. All right. New Jonas
Brothers song up next. But here is a sensual Facebook

(36:46):
marketplace from yesterday on the show.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
A six foot tall Steelers nutcracker. Okay. Where is there a...
I've seen Steelers nutcrackers before, but a six foot tall
Steelers nutcracker? You've never seen a nutcracker like this, bud.
Oh my God. Cracking nuts for the black and gold.

(37:09):
Elwood City. Oh my gosh, yes. Hand painted. Oh, six
foot tall. Does this look like it's team licensed or
does this look like it's hand crafted?

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Absolutely not team licensed.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Oh man. I don't even know where, I guess you
put this on your porch? It don't matter where you
put it. Dude, it's got to be dazzled football by
its feet.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Yeah does it have the nutcracker face or does it
have like coach cowher's face or like steely mcbean's face
it's got the nutcracker face it's got a big bushy
stash how much well it's hand painted so it's yeah
it's art this is beautiful six foot tall what do

(37:56):
you think Uh, 200 bucks.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
275.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
I was close. I was in the ballpark. It's down, though.
They marked it down, okay? I bet we could get
it for 200 if we offered it to Elwood City.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
It started at 350.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I love the Steelers, and I'm looking for a place
to stick my nuts.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
See, it's kind of funny when we change our voice,
isn't it? iHeartRadio. New Music Friday. Hey, this is Kevin. Hey,
this is Joe. And this is Nick. The Jonas Brothers.
It's New Music Friday on iHeartRadio. And you're... Effective immediately.
This isn't wait for a couple weeks or next month
or next year. Effective immediately. No more balloons at the parks. Oh,

(38:43):
I saw that. You see the new policy there? They're
tired of the balloons popping and getting stuck in trees
and trash. All nine Allegheny County Parks new policy balloons
are not permitted anymore. Hey, why are we even doing
balloons anymore? What kind of balloon stuff are we doing
in the parks where it became such a problem? Birthday parties, barbecues,

(39:03):
graduation parties, things like that. You know, people having balloons,
but then we just pop the balloons. The balloons float away.
Balloons are fun, sure, but not out in public where
they get in the trees, all that stuff. Keep the
balloons inside. Balloon ban. Yeah, balloon ban. Allegheny County Parks.

(39:25):
I'm with it, man. I'm with it. Why? I don't know.
Hopefully it saves the world. Yeah. You see the glacier videos?
Anything we can do to stop what's coming. Sure, one
balloon at a time. Even if it means balloons. All right,
let's get to a talkback message here. Send them through
the free iHeartRadio app brought to us by The Pavement Group.
Good morning, Mikey and Big Bob.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Made it to another Friday. Just want to say thank
you guys for.

Speaker 12 (39:51):
A lot of lifting spirits, being a voice that makes
Pittsburgh laugh, being a safe space for people to.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
Air out everything. Yeah. All right, guys, have a good day. Hey,
we appreciate that nice message, man. Yeah, we do try
to create a safe space here. Everybody's welcome at Mike
and Bob's party. Hey, by the way, thank you to
everybody who tagged us in the WPXI Greenfield story. There's
two women who had their house broken into in Greenfield, right? Scary.

(40:21):
Very scary. A stranger broke their door down and got
in their house. This was from WPXI.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Around midnight, we hear this loud thud and a loud crash.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
And when I get out of my bed, I go
to see what it is, and there's a man coming
up my steps.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Yikes.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
A stranger, she tells me, busted down the door.

Speaker 13 (40:39):
She explains the man did not look around or try
to take anything at first.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
Okay. Instead, just made an unsettling claim. I yelled, hey,
what are you doing?

Speaker 11 (40:48):
And he said, state police, you're under arrest.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
I don't believe him. I don't believe he's state police.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
You're not.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
You're under arrest. But he was just a man in
a black... White beater tank top and black jeans. Probably
should stop calling them those. When the intruder continued upstairs,
Dermot says her instincts took over. All right, this is
when her instincts kicked in, right? She's got a stranger
in her house. She don't know what's going on. This
is when the instincts kick in.

Speaker 13 (41:13):
In my hallway was a broken shower curtain rod that
I grabbed.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Hell yeah.

Speaker 11 (41:17):
And I chased him with and hit him as he
were going out the door.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
The best way she describes her reaction to it all,
fight or flight. I said not this house, man. You
chose the wrong people. Heroes. Heroes right there. You chose
the wrong people, buddy. Started chasing his ass with a
broken shower curtain. Gets one hit in before he gets outside.
You messed with the damn wrong house, bud. And you
know what? She's probably related to a McCarthy in some way, too.

(41:43):
She's in Greenfield. This is probably a McCarthy family member.
I don't know if you want to break and enter
anybody's house in Greenfield. There could be a McCarthy behind
the door. Wrong house, buddy. Greenfield homes could have a
full McCarthy security system now, where if it goes off
like a ring camera, a McCarthy family member will come,

(42:04):
assess the situation, and probably beat some ass, too. The
Greenfield version of those flock cameras are just McCarthy cameras? Yeah,
that's what it is. We got McCarthy cams at Greenfield,
so everybody can be safe. One of the biggest shows
of the summer, one of the biggest shows of the year,
Bruno Mars playing at Accresure this Saturday, all sold out.

(42:26):
You got to get tickets on the resale markets, and
they are not cheap at all. So hopefully everybody's got
their tickets to Bruno Mars and have a lot of
fun Saturday. at the Bruno Show. It is Mikey and
Bob here on 96.1 KISS. Steelers lose their final preseason game, 28-27,
up in Buffalo at their new multi-billion dollar stadium. That

(42:48):
stadium's sweet, man. It looked cool. Steelers need a new stadium.
The way they did the seats, too, like the color scheme.
It sure stinks compared to these new stadiums. Yeah, and
then we read the Facebook comments. Uh-oh.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
We are going to a very deep, dark place on
the internet. Everyone is a GM. Everyone is a coach.
Everyone is going to get traded.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
Everything sucks.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
It's time for Steelers Facebook comments.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Steelers lose preseason game in Buffalo. Preseason. 28-27. We're in
the Facebook comments here. Bonnie D, Steelers haven't won a
game since we got that stupid Disney Pete. Pete's fault.

Speaker 1 (43:29):
All right.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
It's Pete's preseason losses on him. Greg F. The Pirates
losing like they do is gearing us up for more heartbreak.
I know it's preseason. But I can't take much more
of this. I don't care, man. It's a long football season, bud.
The Pirates geared me up for this. I don't know
if I can do it. Pirates catching a stray in

(43:52):
the Steelers' Facebook comments. They kind of deserve it, though.
Michael B., why the hell are my season tickets so
expensive at that dump at Akershire? This team isn't worth
watching half the games. That Bills Stadium. looks insane and
made Akershire look like a dump. Well, Michael B, as
long as old man Rooney owns team, he said over
my dead body, a new stadium. So gonna have to

(44:15):
wait for him to die before we get a bill stadium.
Lee S here in the Steelers, Facebook comments. If Aaron
Rogers gets hurt this season, oh, we're screwed because these
other guys stink. Jose V. I'm a Steeler fan from
the old days and from the heart. Hell yeah, Jose.
But this season, we're not celebrating too much. Why? All right, Jose.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
Why, Jose?

Speaker 2 (44:39):
Why can't we? Doran K. here. Caden Weegin is dope.

Speaker 1 (44:44):
You know?

Speaker 2 (44:45):
I gotta be honest. He is a little dope, isn't he?
He is, a little bit. Return to punt for a
touchdown and also is your Mikey and Bob Rico Bussey
Steelers Player of Camp Award this year. Damn right. Did
we call it? Another one here. George W. in the
Steelers Facebook comments. Win or lose, I rep the black
and gold. Hell yeah. I even got my Harley painted

(45:06):
Steelers colors. And then he poked. PS4L. Pittsburgh Steelers for life. Man,
riding the Steelers Harley around. Oh my God. Black and
gold hog. All the ladies want to ride on the

(45:26):
black and gold hog from Uncle George. Johnny, I'm hearing
the Steelers' preseason Facebook comments. No thanks, preseason. I got
the weed eating done while they were playing. All right.
You get any of that done? Well, was he outside
doing weeds or was he just eating weed nuggets? Because
that's not good either. Todd A here. The only thing

(45:46):
I learned today is, man, the Steelers need a new
stadium because that Bills Palace looks sweet. All right. Hey,
old man Rooney. Watch out. Everybody's getting a taste of
these new stadiums. Two more here. Steelers preseason Facebook comments
after they lose to the Bills. Blaine C, nine and eight,
just like every other season. All right. And one more here.
John S, this season, QB1 is Rogers. Drew Aller. Okay.

(46:16):
Send Will Howard to do TV commercials for Raising Kings. Okay,
there goes Will Howard. Oh, damn! There he goes, man.
Not even to, like, the practice squad? No, no practice squad.
He's got to go to Raising Kings? Nobody else is
signing him. He's just doing Raising Kings commercials. That's it.
Will Howard, you're on Chicken Fingers. MMS Will Hart. MMS

(46:40):
Will Hart. That's right. Will Hart just got sent to
the chicken finger fryer. Hey, we appreciate you listening to
our Mikey and Bob podcast, but it's not just listening
to the show. It's seeing clips of the show, seeing
pictures of us in our daily lives. Be our friends.
Seeing pictures of my cats. That's right. We're on Instagram,

(47:04):
of course. You can follow us, if you don't already,
at FSMikey for me. At FSBigBob for me. FS stands
for Freak Show.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
We made it a long time ago. It is what
it is. What are you going to do? Follow us
on Instagram, at FSMikey, at FSBigBob, if you love content.
If you've had a hectic week, maybe work, maybe just
the kids going back to school and you've missed some
of our show. If your Mike and Bob listening has

(47:34):
been thrown off this week, get caught up this weekend
with everything you missed with our Mikey and Bob podcast.
Of course, brought to us by our friends at the
C Harper Auto Group. You can see me and Bob
driving around in our new vehicles. Bob's in the white
Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie. I'm in my purple 2026 Jeep
Gladiator Sport. I love it. Give us a honking wave

(47:56):
if you see us out there driving. Bob, you ready
to milk some Steelers content here after the final preseason game, bud? Oh, yeah.
You ready to milk? Uh-huh. All right, it's time to
milk some Steelers content. We're going to hear from Steelers
quarterback Drew Aller first after the loss in Buffalo. Let's milk, milk, milk.

Speaker 14 (48:13):
Milk, milk the Steelers content! Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk
the Steelers content!

Speaker 2 (48:19):
Steelers quarterback Drew Aller and how he's feeling now. I mean,
I feel good about... everything that I put on tape.

Speaker 12 (48:26):
I think the biggest thing is I have a lot
of great mentors between players and coaches to learn from,
from the things I've done well and also the mistakes
I've had. There's a great group of veterans around me,
Aaron and Mason in my room, but then there's a
lot of great veterans on the offensive side of the
ball specifically that, you know, have been great for me
and I feel like, you know, I've learned from the

(48:46):
things that I haven't done well and improved upon that.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
Drew Aller, that's a good answer. He's safe, right? He's safe.
I Is he? Aaron's safe. Mason's safe, right?

Speaker 4 (48:56):
Me?

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Will Hart's safe? Is Will Hart? Man, I don't even know.
Who's going to get cut? Are we keeping four quarterbacks here?
Does somebody go to the practice squad? But then they
got a clear labor, right? Yeah, whatever. I don't know, man.

Speaker 5 (49:10):
Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk, the Steelers content.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
Cuts are coming up, though. Mike McCarthy's not looking forward
to it, Milt. I'm... anxious about what's in front of me.
I probably won't sleep tonight. I know what tomorrow brings.

Speaker 8 (49:27):
You want to get it right, but more importantly, I
think it's very, very important, and I know the Rooney
family feels this way, but you got to make sure
we treat people the same way going out as when
they come in. A, it's the right thing to do.
This is the way we want to do business. But
also the reality of we all may be working together,
some of these young men. So I just want to

(49:48):
get this thing right. I want to make sure when
the news is delivered that it's done the right way
and that they get their questions answered.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
And hopefully maybe we'll see them again someday. I think
the best part about getting caught by the Steelers is
you then just have a free hug. You can hug
Mike McCarthy as hard as you want. It's a license
to hug.

Speaker 6 (50:12):
It is.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
On the way out. I'm out of here. But before
I go. Bring it in. I want to get a
big bear hug from the man from Greenfield. Let me
get some meat on me. You know, that's what I
feel like you got to do if you get cut
by the Steelers today. Comforting, man. Saturday or Sunday, whatever.
Go in for the hug. Hug. You deserve it.

Speaker 14 (50:33):
New music Friday here on 96.1 Kiss and the free
iHeartRadio app. Brand new music from Alex Warren.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
Coming up next, a song called Emerald Eyes for New
Music Friday. Right now, though, let's get to another one
of your talkback messages. Send them through the free iHeartRadio app.
Talkback messages brought to us by The Pavement Group. Good morning,
bestie boo-boos. Happy Friday. It's going to be a great weekend.

Speaker 11 (51:05):
I have my students and I here, and we really
want to give you a great message, so we have
something to share with you.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Students. Happy weekend for us there. It was, it was. Nice, kids.
I like this. But we also have a very special
message for Bob. Don't do it. Happy birthday, Bob! The
whole class. Have a great weekend. You're great. We love you.

Speaker 1 (51:26):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
The whole class? Thank you. Thank you, kids. See, this
is the problem. We're teaching these kids that lying's okay.
It is not Bob's birthday today. Thank you. That's New
Year's Day. How does that feel, Bob, to have an
entire classroom of kids wish you happy birthday? Happy birthday, Bob!

(51:49):
Unbelievable there. All right. Special. Let's get to another talkback
message here. Hey, Mikey and Big Bob. This is Fred
from West Mifflin. Hi, Fred.

Speaker 15 (51:57):
I'd like to wish you guys a happy Friday and
thank you guys for being you.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
Oh, yeah. And to Mikey. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 15 (52:05):
I know you're tall, so I have a question wondering
if when you're walking down the hallway and you see
tall Kathy, do y'all stick your hand up real high
and see who has to jump?

Speaker 2 (52:19):
No. I barely see Kathy. Oh, a tall battle. No,
it wouldn't be a tall. I don't tall battle with
anybody around here. Yeah, Mike's 6'9, 6'9.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
Tall Kathy is... Yeah. Six foot, maybe a lot of
times when I'm around smaller children, um, I do like
to put my hand up as high as I can
in the sky and tell them high five.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
And they just look and laugh at me like there's
no way. I mean, they try and then I lower
it down and they're like, all right, here we go.
Here's a real high five. And then when we go
for that one, move the hand, move the hand. You
got to do that. It's a real goof. That's the
uncle move right there. That's the dad move, right? Move that.
And then you give him the high five, you know?
But no, I don't really like tall Kathy comes in

(53:07):
later in the day. We usually don't see each other.
Maybe once or twice a month. This man think tall
Kathy is like six foot nine as well. Yeah, she's
I mean, she's tall for a woman, maybe. But, you know,
she's probably around like six foot. But no, we don't
have tall battles in the in the hallway. Again, I
will tall battle anybody in the hallway because if I
put my hand up, nobody's going to be able to

(53:27):
high five me. Let's get to another one here.

Speaker 5 (53:29):
Hey, Moochie and Boochie.

Speaker 2 (53:31):
It's Bill from Brunswick, Ohio.

Speaker 3 (53:32):
Hey, boys.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
Just listening to the show live right now. And I
really think instead of getting the replacement Pepsi machine. Yeah,
we've been talking, obviously, about the Pepsi machine that was
stolen up on Mount Washington. And when it comes back,
which we believe it will, we want the janky version.

(53:53):
We want that hand-painted one. I want the cartoon one
that's there right now for a studio. For the studio,
I think you got to get the black and gold Nutcracker.
I'm just saying. I think people walk into the studio
and see that thing, they'll just be like, yep, Mikey
and Bob got a Nutcracker. That's black and gold. That
just makes sense. Love you, boys. All right. We don't

(54:15):
need to pick and choose because... We're just in fantasy land.
But the other thing is we're not allowed to put
things in the studio anyway. Yeah, this isn't like our
own studio. Yeah, that's the other thing too. We should
have our own studio. We can't put things on the wall,
so if we... I mean, if we got the Pepsi machine,
I would bring it in here and take whatever. You

(54:35):
know what? Let's start putting stuff in the studio. Who cares?
We're in here every day. This is primarily our studio.
I think this studio needs a working Pepsi machine and
a six-foot-tall nutcracker. And then we'll take whatever comes with us. Oh, guys,
you can't have it in the studio. All right. Well,
I guess you got to move it then because these
are two of the most awesome things that could possibly

(54:56):
be in a studio. Fantasyland. Okay. None of this happened.

Speaker 4 (55:00):
Oh, I know.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
Fun to talk about it, though, right? No, it's not even.
We just waste time because we talk about fantasy things
on the show that never happen. All right, here's new
music from Alex Warren. Your chance to win $ 1, 000 and
a full trip to Vegas next. If you missed any
of the shows this week, get caught up with the
Mikey and Bob podcast on the free iHeartRadio app brought

(55:24):
to us by our good friends over at the C.
Harper Auto Group. Let's get to a talkback message here
brought to us by One Team Media. Good morning, Mikey
and Bob. It's your girl, Destiny, down in Florida.

Speaker 15 (55:34):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
Just curious, Bob. What was the name of your pet snake?
I don't know why I want to know, but I
just want to know. Yeah. Thanks. Love you guys. Talk
to you later. Yeah, we were talking about this yesterday
on the show. Bob used to have a pet snake.
I don't remember your pet snake at all. And I've
known you since you're like eight years old. I don't
remember you ever having a pet snake. Yeah, I had
a pet snake. What was his name? Jake. Dude, really?

(55:54):
Jake the snake, yeah. Jake the snake? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, man.
It's like a ball python. Yeah. It never got really big. Well,
Bobby loved professional wrestling, didn't he? Yeah, Jake the Snake.
And then it did get big, and as soon as
it started getting big, it's just like, all right, maybe
this should go back to the pet shop because... Oh, wait,
what'd you do with Jake the Snake when he got
too big? Went back to the pet shop. Went back

(56:17):
to Critters, man. You remember Critters where we grew up?

Speaker 7 (56:19):
Oh, dude.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
We had a local pet shop called Critters. Dude, that
thing seemed like half illegal. This was before the... There's
a crocodile in the back of that thing, dude. All
the national pet stores that are around now, this was like...
the neighborhood pet store and it did have a live
croc in the back corner animals in there dude they

(56:41):
had monkeys in there i think oh yeah off the
books seemed like this was very off the books when
we were growing up get anything in there all right
um let's get to uh let's get to our guy
here brandon We've played plenty of his videos that he's
done on the show over the years. He's just a
super yinzer. He's got a great mustache. You can follow

(57:01):
him on the gram. Tourists, look up. His name's Brandon.
He's just so Pittsburgh, you know? And Bob just said,
And you must be listening to the station because he
just did a video about Olivia Rodrigo. I said, what? Like,
listening to us?

Speaker 1 (57:18):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
So Bob's just like, yeah, just play her here.

Speaker 13 (57:21):
So if you ain't familiar, let me put you on
freaking game, okay? This is going to be one of
my freaking favorite songs right now.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
Every time.

Speaker 13 (57:29):
I turn it on to Freaky Kiss FM. Mikey Bob
played his joint all the time. They've got to be
big fans, too.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
I mean, let's... Pittsburgh's Uncle Brandon just discovered Olivia Rodrigo.
We do love Olivia Rodrigo, but also we don't control
the music on the station. So if you hear Olivia
Rodrigo like 15 times a day, that's not specifically us
doing that.

Speaker 13 (57:49):
I'm pretty sure her name's Olivia Rodriguez, okay? I think
her brother plays for the Buccos.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
I don't know how he's.

Speaker 1 (57:55):
Hitting this year.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
I don't know about that, but maybe, maybe. That's not
the point.

Speaker 13 (58:00):
His sister's a superstar, and she made a freaking bop,
an absolute freaking banger. This song is called Drop Dead.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
Oh, man, he's not even on the stupid song yet.
That's the second single. He's still back on Drop Dead.
Loves it.

Speaker 13 (58:14):
And she's singing about she's going to kiss this guy,
and it's going to make her drop dead. It's like
that Disney movie, Cinderella.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
Nah, not Cinderella.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
Dope.

Speaker 13 (58:23):
It might be Snow White.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
It's not Snow White. One of them cooks. It's one
of them ones. It's like beauty, right? One of them.

Speaker 13 (58:28):
They kiss her, but instead of she comes alive, this one,
she just drops dead. That's how good the freaking song is.
Every time I hear it, I'm afraid I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Have a freaking heart attack.

Speaker 13 (58:37):
Turn it on to freaking Kiss FM. I guarantee you're
going to hear it. You're about to have the best
freaking Friday of your life. It's going to make you
feel like you want to run through a freaking brick wall.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
The song's so good. Hell yeah, Brandon. We appreciate it, man.
Brandon out here listening to the station, listening to the show,
just bopping and vibing to Olivia Rodrigo on a Friday.
You can follow him. He's hilarious, man. Tourists, look up.
His name's Brandon on Instagram. Let's get to this talkback
message here brought to us by the Pavement Group. This

(59:06):
lady's laughing her ass off.

Speaker 7 (59:10):
The what?

Speaker 1 (59:10):
What?

Speaker 2 (59:24):
I don't know what she's laughing at. I couldn't make
it out there. I don't know. I tried to. I
didn't hear it. I know she said people think she's
a bleeping schizophrenic, but then. Because I'm sitting in my
car laughing my ass off. I don't know if she's
even listening to today's show or if it's a podcast.
I don't know. But hey, she's listening to us and

(59:45):
she's having a good time. And that's what we're all
about over here. Hey, let's get to Larry from Little
Washington here before we wrap up the show. Start thinking
of a name for the podcast there, Bob. It's Mikey
and Bob on 96.1 Kids. Kids, this talkback message brought
to us by The Pavement Group.

Speaker 11 (01:00:04):
Mike.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Big Bob, it's your boy, Little Larry from Little Washington. Woo!
Say something nice. Say something nice. Okay, all right. Hey,
Larry wants to say something nice, Dad.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
Wee!

Speaker 5 (01:00:17):
Larry, say something nice. Larry, say something nice.

Speaker 15 (01:00:21):
I just want to say thank you to all the athletes,
the coaches, personnel working tonight to bringing us back.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Friday Night Lights, baby. Yeah, it's on and it's time.
Good luck to everybody. Stay safe. Hey, happy birthday, Bob.

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Yeah, Friday Night Lights tonight, man. High school football is back. Thanks, Larry.
Not Bob's birthday either, Larry. That is Friday Night Larry, man.
Watch out. I don't know if you want to hang
out Friday Night Larry. Friday Night Larry is different than
regular week, Larry. Friday Night Larry is built different. All right. Yeah,
Friday Night Lights. Of course, high school football's back tonight.

(01:01:00):
Pitt Volleyball, Pitt Women's Volleyball, they're taking on Kansas tonight
at the Pete, 630. And then they got Wisconsin at
the Pete at noon. I love having the Pitt Women's
Volleyball team back in our lives.

Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Because they're like top five team. They're great. Those games
are crazy back, too. Pirates will be in St. Louis
against the Cardinals this weekend, 8-15 start. tonight for the Buccos,
and then Saturday and Sunday afternoon games like 2-15 in St. Louis.
Of course, if you missed any Steelers Facebook comments on
the show, you can always get caught up with our

(01:01:35):
Mikey and Bob podcast brought to us by our friends
over at the C. Harper Auto Group. Man, thank you
to the friends at C Harper Auto Group. Like, you know,
we have a lot of people who are involved with
the show, a lot of local businesses and stuff like that.
But the fact they came to us, they want to
sponsor podcasts. Also, why have you guys driving C Harper vehicles?

(01:01:56):
And then. Earlier this week, they bring us Mikey and
Bob Jeep Docs that we can hand out to people.
They've hopped all the way in on the show. They're
all in. Above and beyond. So thanks to our friends
at the C. Harper Auto Group. What do you want
to name the podcast today, Bob? Long Butt Cheeks Riding
a Black and Gold Hog. It's a good week of shows, sir.

(01:02:21):
Hell yeah. Hell yeah? Wow, very convincing.

Speaker 7 (01:02:26):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
Hell yeah. Hey, Bob said we did a good job
this week.

Speaker 5 (01:02:29):
Hell yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Is that it? What are you doing this weekend? Are
you doing anything fun? I'm going to go see some
high school football tonight. Are you? Yeah. Oh, yeah. NA's
playing North Hills. They haven't played in like 150 years
or something. Wow. Man. The rivalry. North Allegheny versus North
Hills at NA. You going to be there tonight? Yeah. Yeah.

(01:02:50):
I'll be around. Oh, man. The sounds. The sights, the
smells of Friday night lights back in our lives in
western Pennsylvania. Yeah. All right. Let's see. That's it, right? Yeah,
we're good. Okay, catch up on the Mikey Bob podcast.
If you missed anything, rise your crystals.

Speaker 5 (01:03:09):
Smile at someone today.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Make somebody happy. You have more power than you think
you do. Enjoy your day or night or week. Bye.
