they win their first preseason game of the year twenty
eight to nine against the Packers. And watch out, because
I've already I've already peaked at the Facebook comments.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Is Drew Aller the next big Ben? Oh Man? Drew out?
Hey all the quarterbacks? Look hey, guys, job quarterbacks? Hey
all look good.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Bason Rudolph, he's serviceable. He's out there doing all right.
Will hard to two minute drill right Then Drew Aller geez,
he comes in the second half, throws two touchdowns, runs
for one. Oh boy, Hey, that McCarthy offense, Oh boy, man,
not used to it.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Different, not used to it, not used to it at all.
You know what.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
The Mike McCarthy offense for the Steelers is like Bob
the cooling seat in your Dodge Ram from see Harperanto group.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Not used to having the butt cheeks cooled while you drive.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I know how to heat them up.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Mike McCarthy's offense is cool Botchies shocks the cheeks at first,
but then you're just like, this is amazing, all right,
Paul's the Steeler Nation. I think this was sent to
us during the game last night.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Fellas Yo, Carter Penhills, Nice, nice of smoke, eight sweetest meatballs, banging.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
I'm watching the game, hanging. Why is it?

Speaker 4 (01:29):
The first half McCarthy has the biggest notebook I've ever seen,
and in the second half he has a baby notebook
that they give to kindergarteners.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Am I chipping? False? Fuer Nations? Man, here we go.
We know what you're here for today. Even though it's preseason.

Mike big Bo. Hear that? Hear it?

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Claw claw klaw klaw, I can hear it. It must
be us climbing the stairway to heaven.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Wait, let's go. I mean boys, eventually, good reseason.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Everybody's gotta call him out first, he.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Said, can you hear that? And I'm like listening.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
All serious, like clop clop. When I heard the clomps,
I'm like, are we climbing? And then I'm like, he's
gonna go stairway to seven?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Right?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Seven? Super Bowl? No? No, he just think.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I mean, he's not wrong. We all are eventually gonna pass.
And you know, I mean some of us we'll go
to heaven if that's a real thing.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
But you know what, let's just the real crossroads. We're
all gonna go there one dawn, damn there we go.
You hear that? And clomp club.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
It's this stairway, not to the seventh super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
We're all gonna do.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
And I'm in a miss seven body and I'm miss Sababady.
I think that's the first time we actually sang the
real lyrics song right there too. All right, Micha McCarthy
talking about the young quarterbacks that'll be coming up next
around six twenty five. Let's see how he was me
owing talking about the boys, and then Steelers pre season
Facebook comments.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Ah, we are so back. We'll get to that around
seven ten. It's Mikey and Bob.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I'm marking bum. If you saw.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Somebody in your neighborhood just naked, you'd have a little
laugh and a smile too.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I mean then you'd be concerned what's gonna happen next?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
First?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Like wow, and they're just like my danger, he screamed.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
The Mikey and Bob podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you
get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
We will get to a round of Steelers Facebook comments
after their twenty eight to nine preseason win coming up
around seven ten. That's not it, though, because Kenny Wood
announced yesterday on Monday, they're shutting down the Thunderbolt for
the year. Well, you don't want the Thunderbolt to get hurt,
you know, so you gotta put it. You gotta put

(04:52):
it up on.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
The bench further season and maintenance. Yeah, yeah, we worried.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Kennywood Facebook comments around eight twenty five as they shut
down the Thunderbolt.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Wait, they're putting it in maintenance, but they're not shutting
it down until Monday.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Hey, listen, man, it's a wild weekend at Kenny Wood.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
You can ride the Thunderbolt. Is it your Maybe? I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
If it was safe, they wouldn't be shutting it down, right.
Uh it is mikey Bob here on ninety six to one.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Kiss.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Let's get to head coach Mike McCarthy after the game.
You know, obviously he was happy with the quarterback play
of Mason Rudolph and Will Hard and Drew Aller.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I really liked the quarterback play tonight. Mason.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
It was a sixteen seventeen eighteen play drive, So that's
exactly what I was looking for from him. And I
thought both Will and Drew Will had I thought I
did a really good job.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
His composure.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
I think through to two minute drills excellent, and even
thought by doing giving true a two minute drill at
the end there. But you know, I just you know,
you get to a pointing gaming worry about just being
healthy and so forth. But I really liked the performance
of all three quarterbacks to night. Yeah, he's me owing
up there. Man, he's fired off. Yeah, he came through.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I like how he's just like I even wanted to
Drew Aller drive at the end, but that I was
just like, Nope, I don't want to get anybody hurt.
Here was just Mike McCarthy on winning the game.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
A big thing for me in preseason. You win the game,
you have to win as a football team, and it's
you know, I thought we got off to a good start. Uh,
you know, the allfus negatives, the penalties are way too high.
The person you know, personal files. You know, it's good
to get a win at home and and and and
feel that especially it's our first time together, you know,

(06:27):
just it's you know, it's year one. But for the
most part, I thought, you know, this is a good
start for us. And that's a good start.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Hey, we ruined this guy.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Man.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I cannot hear him without me outen. It's all I
focus on. It is all I focus on when he talks,
is just real, real meal. Like even watching him after
the game, like falling asleep last night and Mike, he's
me he's doing the me out thing.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Did you see the video of him before the game
on the field, now him and his family. He's getting
family picked. It's awesome. It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Man and McCarthy family on All Man the wyd PGH.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Yeah on Instagram as the video they were down on
the sideline and like him getting pictures with us. Cool dude,
how cool did that have to be yesterday? I know
it was just a preseason game, A yeah, but lifelong
dream like unbelievable, one of us, unbelievable coaching.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
That's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (07:24):

Speaker 1 (07:56):

Speaker 2 (07:58):

be on Monday.

Speaker 1 (08:05):

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, they're still there Tuesday, but no fans. So Monday's
your last chance this weekend, and Monday your last chance
to get out to Steelers' training camp, which means Monday morning, Bob,
we will have to announce who are Rico Bussy player
of Steelers camp?

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Is I mean a lot of options? A lot, It's
a lot. It's a big award to win. Might be
Drew Aller after the night he had last night. Jeez,
it's Mikey and Bob here on ninety six to one. Kiss.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Of course, Little early days are happening in Bloomfield.

Speaker 3 (08:43):

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Let's get to this talkback message brought to us by
the Pavement Group.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Hi, this is Jess.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
You were talking the other day about how you were
the official back to school station.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Well, Jess knows that's right. No, yes we are.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I don't know how we got the honor, but we
have been named the official back to school radio station.
It is We've won it every year that we've been
on the radio too. We this is over twenty straight
years of the official back to school stage. All the
teachers voted on it. That's that's what that's what it was.
The teachers take a vote back to school station. I

(09:42):
don't care who it is on the TV side, but
just know we're we're the radio back to school station.

Speaker 8 (09:47):
And it's funny because that's actually how I started listening
to you guys when I was in middle school in
two thousand and five. The bus driver always had you on,
and that's how it was through the year and now
I'm still listening.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
That's right. That's what happens when you shut up to
the bus driver.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
That's what happens when you're the official back to school
station bus riding. Bus drivers know, bus drivers, you're so
important because you know you're you're playing our show that
is molding the young brains of the Pittsburgh area.

Speaker 8 (10:19):
And I also want to say happy birthday to.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
The ball Okay, thank you. Not his birthday today, that's
New Year's Day.

Speaker 8 (10:26):
But sure I know you're a New Year's Day baby.
I'm her Christmas Day baby, and I know what it's
like to have your birthday on a holiday. I've had
many birthday parties during the summer, so it's an all
year deal.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
So happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
You can't make up birthday parties. I've had a birthday
all summer. Okay, birthday twins, Happy birthday to you two.
It's not her birthday, b she just told your birthdays Christmas.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Oh, her birthday's on Christmas. She's throwing birthday parties for
herself in the summer that day. That doesn't seem right.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
If you got a holiday birthday, man, you can celebrate whenever,
every day, wherever, in all day, every day, every day.
We'll get to today in Freak Show history coming up
next on the show, and then after the first preseason
game twenty eight to nine win, we will check in
with Steelers Facebook comments.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Around seven ten. It's Mike, you bump.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Let's get our guy George on here. Talk back messages
brought to us by One Team Media.

Speaker 9 (11:28):
I was going off, fellas Georgia're catching up on Thursday
Morning Podcast.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Here he is.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
I say, we have a royal rumble between the south
Side Burger King and the Allegheny West Windys.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Jesus, I'll take it as.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
You want to see the city of Pittsburgh in ruins.
That's taking the two best fighting fast food employees and
putting them against each other.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Georgia, we can't do that. City. He'll be in ruins.
City will be in ruins.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Those two places are last line to defense too, it is.
That's right, like when the craft hits the fan. If
there's like a zombie apocalypse or something like.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
That, Wendy's and burg King workers will take care of it.
Uh huh. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I might actually move in permanently to the Allegheny West
Wendy's just because I know the employees there will protect
me from everything because they're trained fighters.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Same thing with south Side Burger King. That's a burger
King now, but didn't used to be a burger King,
but then kind of was a burg King.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
I heard under the south Side burg King. There's a
hidden like shelter. Can't talk about it all through the
south Side andn't talk about underground caves.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Talk about it underground cage fighting too.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
It's out there. There's no rules when you're under the street.
Most people don't know that.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
But if you're in the South under the south Side,
not a lot of rules.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
All right, let's get to today in freak Show history.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
This week, we'll take you back to a moment the
show that made us laugh made a smile.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Here we go to.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Drunk Florida man drives Walmart courtesy scooter out of the store.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Zoom zoom, there he goes. You can't take that for
a ride, my man.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Fifty eight year old John Davis accused grown ass man
accused of stealing a courtesy scooter from a Saint Petersburg.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Florida, Walmart, then riding it out of the store. We
had we've had this happen before, but they'll make it
very far. We have. We have had people try to
steal Walmart scooters before. Usually it's somebody drunker. Yeah, and
they usually never make it out of the parking lot.
You know, they go like two miles an hour. He
made it another mile. Crap.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
He stopped at a gas station because the battery was
running out of juice. To the Panela's County police, wait,
he tried making a mile on a Walmart scooter.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
He tried plugging in one of the Tesla chargers or something.
Just pull up the fifty eight year old. Police say he.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Was intoxicated when he drove the fifteen hundred dollars scooter
to a gas station. He told cops he wanted to
charge a battery there. He was arrested and charged with
grand theft. Yeah, what was he gonna do after he
charged it?

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Though?

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Like?

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Where was this guy going on? Anything possible? How far
away did this guy live? Was he gonna take it
this home? My man's a mile out. Anything is possible.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Fifty eight years old drunk Florida man steals the Walmart Coutissy.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
We have a good time here. Yeah, whenever we.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Just screw up our jobs and we can't talk right,
we just laugh it off because our show is just disaster.
He's riding in the Coots scooter. I haven't been a
drinking off. I'm just in a I combined courtesy in
scooter there. So basically what I was going with was
a drunk Florida man was driving.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
A Walmart cooter out of the store.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Probably shouldn't do that, right, Florida banking this show once again?

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Any one announced that they're shutting down the Thunderbolt Darting Monday,
though they'll let you ride it this weekend and then
they're shutting it down for maintenance.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
How many people are excited to hop on this weekend.
There has to be a reason they're shutting it down, right.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
It's a weird thing to let the public know, like, hey,
this thing needs to be shut down for maintenance.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
But we'll do it after this weekend. We'll give you
one last weekend to get it in.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Doesn't make me want to ride the Thunderbolt this weekend, right,
But as Kennywood shuts down the Thunderbolt for the summer,
we will read Kennywood facebook comments on the show coming
up around eight twenty five. The Steelers with a nice
preseason win. I know it's just preseason, but all three
quarterbacks looked pretty good. Lot of penalties for the Steelers,

(15:43):
got to clean that up, but a pretty clean game
for the first game for Mike McCarthy as Steelers head coach.
They win at twenty eight to nine, and then you
know what we did well, it's preseason. We read the
facebook comments.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
Deep dark Internet. Everyone is a cheap season is a coach.
Everyone is going to get treated.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Everything sucks. It's time for Steelers facebook comments.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
We're reading Steelers facebook comments. After the first preseason game
win twenty eight to nine against the Packers, Rob C.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Green Field, home of Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (16:24):

G I know it's preseason, I know, okay, all right, okay,
but Drew Aller looks like he's the one.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Oh my god, boy, we go anna W.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
I think Drew Aller might just be the next Big Ben.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
W What are we doing the preseason game? What are
we doing? Preseason game?

Speaker 10 (16:56):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Man? Maybe maybe.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Michael Ammon of Steelers Facebook comments, we might have a
rookie Big Ben in the making with Drew Aller.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Oh my god, we got a rookie bat. It's him.
It's big Bet. He's back. One preseason game.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Here we Steelers Facebook comments after the first preseason game
twenty eight to nine win against the Packers.

Speaker 3 (17:23):

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Gold kick dass back to Green Bay. Miguel, you're the best.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Jason P So glad we don't have to watch Dom
Tomlin on the sidelines again this year.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Sherry s is the Drew Aller man single. I have
two granddaughters. All right, Harry, he's never gonna see this
first off.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Also, Grandma weird to offer up your granddaughters to grown men.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
It's a weird face. Settled down. Eric T. Steelers, Oh god,
I missed football so much. Go well Hard, all right,
will Hard?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
All the quarterbacks did good Man Daniel last year? I
thought Bob Pompien he said that one guy's name was
Lou Nipples, and.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
I laughed for half a quarter.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Lou Nipples out the oars, backup running back, Lou Nipples. Hey, listen,
Bob popienn he had a long day yesterday. If he
wanted to say nipples, he can say nipples. Scott Gee,
I haven't felt this good about a season.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Saints. We had Big Ben in his prime.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Hey listen, there's a lot of Big Ben mentioned going on.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Everybody's gonna have to call him down. All right, we
got a long way to go. This is the start
of it. Did it feel good? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
It felt good? Okay, yeah I did. Steelers face comments,
Christy D.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Mason, Rudolph get on the trading block now, you bastard.

Speaker 1 (19:06):

Hour right aim away and there you know, Hey, you know, Will.

Speaker 1 (19:20):

Miss Sason Rudolf, Miss Sason Rudolph. All right, Jeremy h
here Kenny Pikett looked unstoppable that one preseason two.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Hey, we don't want to hear about that right now.
Don't bring that up. Drew Hollur's next Big Ben. And
one more here, Mike Lahr. Mike McCarthy probably had a
big Liz, been a big Liz, and I see right
before the game.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Okay, Mike McCarthy has the offense dialed in. Hell yeah,
Aaron Rodgers is going to lead us is super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Hell yeah, we got the next Big Ben.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Seven Mike McCarthy, Glizzies, Oh my gosh, nights in a

round of Kennywood Facebook comments. Around eight twenty five, as
they announced that the Thunderbolt well that's open this weekend,
but they're gonna shut it down on Monday for the

(20:38):
for the rest of the summer. So I guess right
at your own risk this weekend, we'll get to those
Facebook comments around eight twenty five. Right now, though, Bob,
it is time to check in with the Pittsburgh Police Scanner.
A couple people will just listen to the scanner and
report on what is happening in and around our city.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
They have their own website, pghdash scanner dot com.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
They do a great job on social media just posting
what is happening.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
And around our city.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Lawrenceville Wendy's, a sheriff deputy went in for launch and
found two employees beating an alleged customer in the parking
lot who was threatening them, and he called for backup.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
You can't play round at Wendy's.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
We already know Alleghany West. Wendy's a trained combat fighters.
I think all of them are.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
I think there's a secret like handbook where they at
least train you a little bit to fight.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
We might have a Wendy's fight club in the city. Honestly,
where and why do.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
People act up?

Speaker 2 (21:37):
It's only seems like Wendy's well in the south side
burn King, but that's his own thing too.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
But we do I feel like we are the city.
Like you want to box at Wendys, They'll box you. Yeah,
they'll take you off brasl Sure they can wrestle. You
won't get your ass beat at Wendy's by the dumpster shuret.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
You know, you want to frosty down your pants, They'll
do that too. Really, you want to frosty down your pants? Lawrenceville, Wendy's,
you can get it.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
There also happening in and around our city, Banksville.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
At the Coons Skins, callers said they had to fire
and employee.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Okay, employee then picked up a fire extinguisher, and he's
holding everyone at bay.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Were they gonna squirt them with the juice? Like the
fire extinguisher juice?

Speaker 1 (22:24):
I guess. I mean that's not like a it's not
like a dangerous thing or anything. It's a fire extinguisher.
You know. I hold everybody at bay like I'm not leaving.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Oh, get the fire extinguished. Why were the employees even
scared of that?

Speaker 1 (22:38):
You know? Oh, we got a fire exting. Okay, I'll
tell you what needs to happen.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Kons needs to go out and recruit some Wendy's workers.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Oh gosh, no fire extinguishers.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Put the Wendy's workers on staff to handle situations like this. Actually,
every business around here should have a Wendy's employee on standby,
just in case they get out of control.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Ready to go.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Oh, somebody's got a fire extinguisher. You don't want me
to call Wendy's, do you. That's what's happening in and
around our city.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Ding happened to me yesterday for the first time.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
I thought it would happen sooner, but it happened to
me yesterday for the first time. It's Mikey and Bob
here on ninety six to one Kiss. Bob is driving
a brand new Dodge Ram fifteen hundred Laramie.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Yeah, it's just an insane truck. It's crazy. He has
a he has a screen in the glove box.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
And then I'm driving the the Jeep Gladiator sport ass
purple Jeep Gladiator happened to me for the first time yesterday.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
On my way home, I got a Jeep wave. Dude,
it was my first one. Did you freeze or did
you wave?

Speaker 1 (23:48):
No.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
I wove back because I saw them coming and they
had their hand up.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
On the wheel like giving me the wave, and I said, hey,
all right, right, I had my first jeep wave yesterday.
I'm one of you.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
This isn't the first jeep that I've passed since I
got the you know, jeep Gladiator from Sea Harparado.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Have you been paying attention to the other one.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Yeah, And I wait for them to go first because
I don't know what I'm doing.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
So I got my first jeep wave yesterday. I think
I think I'm in congratulations. By the way, I'm up
to like six or seven ducks now to on my jeep.
I just you know, I'm gonna like, do you leave
jeep like ducks for other people though?

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Or like, yeah, yeah, you're supposed to do.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
I take my ducks though, Do I have to like
get separate ducks? And I don't know if you just
pass them on? Yeah, You're gonna have to get a
basket eventual.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
I know, I know.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Thanks again to our friends over the Sea Harparado Group
for being the official sponsor of Mikey and Bob Podcast.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
We started our show with Carter from Penn Hills. Why
is it.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
The first half, McCarthy has the biggest notebook I've ever seen,
and in the second half he has a baby notebook
that they give to kindergarteners.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
It's just the best on a baby notebook. I don't know,
but maybe it was the man.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Maybe he had Drew Aller in the second half and
knew he only needs like five plays. It's all right,
led Drew. Alex slang it by the way, speaking to.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Drew Aller, I mean, he's the one that.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
We're all waking up to this morning going, wait a minute, Like,
I know it's preseason, but when a dude, you know,
has a game like that. He threw for one hundred
and fifty four yards, he barely missed, and he passes
two touchdowns, he ran for one. You know, Will Howard
and Mason Rudolf were good too. Yeah, everybody's pretty good. Hi,
here was Drew Aller after the game.

Speaker 11 (25:40):
My job as a quarterback has to go out and
put up points.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Oh my god, he's he's just a child dialed in though.
It's just a child no matter what the situation is.

Speaker 11 (25:50):
So I feel like we did a good job with that,
and it wasn't just me out there, I had ten
other guys and then including the coaching staff and obviously
with coach McCarthy calling the plays, but the whole offensive
staff doing a great job of, you know, getting us
into successful plays and allowing us to go out there
and be successful. So it's a it's a total team
effort and no matter what. And then obviously defense and

(26:11):
special teams you know, did a really good job tonight too,
So it wasn't just one phase or one player that
that won the game tonight.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
And there's the guy Drew Aller right there on his performance,
he's wrapping the whole team. He's going, it's not just
me out there. That's leadership stuff right there. That's leadership.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
That's big, big, it's it's the next coming up.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
By the way, I hope everybody's good and successful, but man,
do we get Do we get hype after a preseason game?
It takes uh. Yeah, Hey, maybe Mike McCarthy had the
big notebook at the beginning of the game, and then
once he saw Drew Aller.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
In the second well maybe always player Drew drew players somewhere.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Maybe that's drawing up in the sand and slang it
like he's on the playground.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
We did see will Hard and we didn't get to
see him last year, right, he was hurting the pre see,
so it was good to see Will Hard.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
You know, he was out there. He did all right too.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Will Hard led the two minute drive before the first half.
He was seven and nine for eighty six yards. He
was will Hard about, you know, just being out there
because he wasn't there last year.

Speaker 12 (27:18):
He just grateful, is the is the only word that
I can think of, is I'm just so grateful that,
you know, God gave him this opportunity to come back
my second year and get a chance to play, because
you know, last year, I was like, you know, its
just it hurts not being able to go out there
and do what you love and working on it and
all the work that I felt like i'd put in.
I felt like I was ready last year. But obviously,

(27:39):
you know, sometimes you just things happening. You don't get
that opportunity. You know, injuries happened, But it makes you appreciate,
you know, the times that you are able to go
out there even more, and you know, I think it
gave me a good perspective on how to approach these
games and how to approach every day because nothing's nothing's guaranteed.
I got the opportunity to come back and play football again.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Will Hard there the mind. Hey, uh, some team needs
to come get Mason Rudolf, right, Like, is that where
we're at?

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Like, I know it's one preseason game, but I feel
like we're building Mason Rudolph off to just be like, hey, Bud,
we Jason played good though, I know, but all right,
Aaron Rodgers leg falls off.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yeah, we want the young guys to get in there
because we want to see Will Hard or Drew Aller.
If they do suck, we'll just accept it and be like, awesome,
we'll get a top ten pick then.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, you know, like that's that's where we're at with this.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
We don't listen Drew Allers taking us to the super
Bowl after one preseason game, all right, But I.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Feel like somebody's gonna I feel like there's a team
that would trade for Mason as a backup. It's not crazy,
all right, somebody's gonna trade what four Jeep Ducks, a
seventh round pick or something.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
For Mason ruf. Hey either way, Hey, Mason, rob you
did okay?

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Good Man.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Just wanted to pass along some some thoughts to our buddy.
Raccoon Tim got contact with us this week. He's he's
going through a family tragedy right now.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
So if you do know.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Our buddy Raccoon Tim, who's you know, obviously been a
good friend of the show for the past few years,
if you do know him on a personal level, reach
out to him, check in on him, be there for him,
make sure he's doing good, because, yeah, every buddy's going
through a tough time right now. So Raccoon Tim, you
and your whole family were thinking about you, buddy, You buddy, Yeah,
thinking about you. It's Mikey and Bob here on a

(29:38):
ninety six and one kiss. We will get to some
Kennywood Facebook comments coming up around eight twenty five, because
they announced yesterday that the Thunderbolt is going to be shut.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Down after this weekend for the for the summer. You know,
I mean, summer's coming to an end here pretty soon. Yeah,
we're creeping towards the end.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
It makes me worried that they were just like, no,
it's not gonna make it the whole summer, you.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Know, like we're gonna leave it open till Monday and
movies this weekend.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Of course, it's supposed to be just Spider Man number
one again.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Spider Man Brand.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
New Day has now crossed over seven hundred million in
just North America alone. That's the domestic box office. We've
never had a billion dollar North America domestic box office movie.
A billion just you know. Obviously billion worldwide has been
done plenty of times, but Spider Man might be the
first year to hit it. Yeah, it might be the first.

(30:30):
It is the fastest movie to get to seven hundred
million domestically. It is at one point eight billion worldwide.
It is right now Spider Man Brand New Day the
tenth biggest movie of all time.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Crazy. It's only been out for like a couple weeks.
Three Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Only seven movies have ever made over two billion dollars.
Spider Man's about to cross that mark. There are some
other movies out this weekend. They're not gonna beat Spider
Man though. The End of Oak Street, you know that's
based on that old book. And I'm telling you, man, listen,
Paw Patrol Dino movie, Watch Out for Everything Man, Watch

(31:09):
Out All Kids.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
You like dogs, well we got the Paul Patrol. Oh cool?
You like emergency vehicles? They drive them all.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Guess what you like? Dinosaurs? Who doesn't all of them
in one?

Speaker 1 (31:22):
A lot? It's a lot? Is that like? Uh? Is
that like kid Avengers right there?

Speaker 6 (31:28):
Like?

Speaker 3 (31:29):
All right, we got we got dogs, we got emergency vehicles,
and we got dinosaurs.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
This is it. It's like Paul Patrol endgame. It feels
like it really does.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Also, uh, you know the season three finale of House
of the Dragon on HBO.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
You know, it's a massive show. It's a Game of
Throne spin off.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
I gotta still get caught up on that, right, I'm
a little behind on Game of Thrones.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Twenty one million. Wow, that's actually impressive.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
The finale had twenty one million viewers in its first
three days. More than eleven million of them were right
here in the US. So I know a lot of
people you know, might be cool down on it.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Dragon dragons are fine.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Also, we know that Ted Lasso's back on Apple TV
with its fourth season. You know, the first three seasons
where Ted with the you know, Richmond team, the men's team,
and now it's a women's team that he's uh, you
know coaching.

Speaker 13 (32:27):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Season four premiere pulled in just under three hundred million
minutes watched over like the course of two days.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
It is million two days.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
It's the biggest launch in the history of Apple TV,
even beating all the previous seasons of ted Lasso. That's crazy.
Like the last season of ted Lasso was just like,
all right, well this is it. The show's ending after this.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
And the new season has already beat that season three.
We're in a place in the world where the everybody
needs a little Ted Laughso I.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Feel like that's why Jason Sedeikis and you know, Hannah
Waddingham and everybody's back. It's because perfect a little escape
for everybody.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
It's almost like the bat signal went up for ted
Lasso and we're just like, hey, ted Lasso, man watch
the news for five minutes.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, we need some wholesome in our lives.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
So a lot of people watching ted Lasso on Apple TV.

get to the letter first. It says, Mikey, I was
listening to the show recently and heard you mentioned that

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Chris see here in the Kennywood Facebook comments as they're
shutting down the Thunderbolt for the season, isn't half the
fun of Kennywood? The danger of riding a coaster that
may fall apart at any moment.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Yeah, Chris is right, don't fix it up too good,
Kenny Woods. This is right?

Speaker 2 (40:24):

Obviously the city's a little fired up this morning because
Drew Aller is the next Big Ben. It's him.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
He's back. It's a big Ben. Reincordated, I mean he was.
He was slanging it out there. Yeah, sure looked good.

Speaker 3 (43:47):
Like he might have been playing against guys who will
be coaching middle school football in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
But like he was looking good.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
He did look good out there, so Will Hawrd Well,
Mason Ruff didn't look too bad.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Let's get the insur creed guy here.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
He always calls us and sings us Creed songs about
whatever's going on on the show and in the city.
Insured Creed guy wants to sing about the Stellars.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
Hell yeah, stayler, Oh yeah, yes he is.

Speaker 14 (44:16):
Mike McCarthy is magic magic to throws across the middle
Manonny Thirsty core Bath throwing on Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
Insur Creed guy serenading the city at there is Steelers
preseason when McCarthy might have the magic touch?

Speaker 3 (44:46):
Is it possible those fingers have the magic touch on
that offense? Listen because it looked dialed in insurre Creed.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Guys right, seeing throws over the middle, it's a weird
thing to see. We're not we're not used to We're
not not used to it.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Here is Mike McCarthy just talking about how the offense
was clicking yesterday.

Speaker 6 (45:07):
I think they're doing an outstanding job of having an
understanding of what the other guy does, you know in
the offense, understanding defense, vice versa.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
And and I'm.

Speaker 6 (45:16):
Quick to say, especially when he gets ready to play
the game, I really don't give it who what they do?

Speaker 1 (45:21):
You know, it's about how we're gonna play.

Speaker 6 (45:24):
You know, from an offensive standpoint, if you do it
the right way, that beats good defense.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
You don't care what you're doing. Anybody bring it. Anybody
want to come get it? Hold on, anybody I want
can come get it.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
Do we have a steel curtain anymore? Anybody anybody that
wanted can come get it. Do we bring a hard
hat and lunch pails?

Speaker 3 (45:46):
He got an offensive juggernaut out there? O, my god,
we're not used to this in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
Go I don't kurt that hell everybody else does? You know?
Go to offense defense very hard.

Speaker 6 (45:57):
You know, from an offensive standpoint, if you do it
right way, that beats with defense.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Oh man, not used to having an offense.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
I bet you McCarthy loves parogis, dude, I mean like
buttery parogis.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
I bet honestly, if you took some DNA, if you
took a DNA sample from Mike McCarthy, point zero two
three percent is perogy. I bet he's a fraction of perogy.

Speaker 1 (46:26):
He did one of those tests on me.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Comeback part perogi twenty three and meter it would tell
you all these different countries and stuff, and just have
a little Parogya, says he's got some proogy in him too.
All right, here's Mike McCarthy talking about the young quarterbacks.

Speaker 6 (46:39):
At the operation. Was was we also a good start?
You know, I thought that as far as the way
they took the play commanded the huddle, you know, but
now we you know, we'll be better now. I just
you know, for what we have playing in the next couple
of days. So but no, I thought they were very poised.
Like I said, I liked. I liked the way all
three of them played, you know, especially our young guys.
I like the way Will responded. You know, he had

(47:02):
a couple you know, he had got one one time
or whatever it was. When out there there was there
was anticipated so but he did a good job overcoming
some long down on distances. And I thought his two
minute drills was outstanding. So and you know, if Drew
played played very very well. You know, Drew played very
very well.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Get excited talking about the offense. Talk about quarterback. He's
me owling all over the place.

Speaker 6 (47:25):
Man, you know, you know, you know, just keep ponding away,
you know, you know, you know you know Don Town
and La Trope, you know, you know, you know, you
know you knows four dons.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
I don't listen.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
We're one treason get we're one preseason game into it,
and uh we have Mike McCarthy in the out track.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Now.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
You know, hey, we're we're ready for the real season, Steelers.
You know we don't need training camp anymore. We me
and Bob, we are ready for the regular season.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
That's just nice, man. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
It's it's nice to get a nice preseason win where
every everything and everybody sort of looks good, and looking
at the offense, you're like this.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
This is different. That might be a thing. This feels different.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
Vibes feel pretty good in the city. Now, Steelers with
a nice preseason win, feeling good about the young quarterbacks. Yeah,
Mike McCarthy's smiling, feeling good.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
And the damn Pirates even won yesterday. I see that.
You see Ashcraft yesterday? What the hell is that.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
They went thirteen to one complete game? Pitchers don't pitch
complete games anymore. You pitched the whole game eighty five pitches,
gave up just three hits in one run. The one
run he gave up. He almost had a complete game shutout.
He gave up a home run in the ninth inning,
last time a Pirate threw a complete game in under
one hundred pitches was in twenty seventeen. The last one
to do it in under ninety pitches before Ashcraft Yesterday

(48:51):
Jeff Carston's back in twenty eleven, and it was like
a legendary performance by Ashcraft yesterday. The only problem is
we uh, we might be too far gone here.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
Probably it to really matter.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Yeah, So Pirates will be back at home this weekend
taking on the Boston Red Sox. It is Mikey and
Bob here on ninety six to one, kissing Bob, the positivity,
the good vibes in the city. Just oh sorry, well,
I just continue.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
If a boss tells you it's mandatory fun, I it
ain't gonna be fun.

Speaker 1 (50:47):

Speaker 10 (50:48):
