Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well kiss morning freak show buddy.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm gonna tell you right now, you have an NFL
Draft glow on you this morning. I'm glowing today. Yeah,
you are glowing glow dude. You came in here and
you have not stopped talking about going down to the
to the NFL Draft last night. You're like, you're just
sitting here just like, Yeah, we did it, We did
it. It all works smooth, We did it. Such a cool experience, man. Oh,
(00:26):
I mean we're going to talk about it for the
next four hours. It's one of the biggest days in
the history of Pittsburgh yesterday, right, Yeah, three hundred and
twenty thousand people. They're estimating breaking a new NFL Draft
crowd record. I'd be honest, it might be uh that
might be up for the taking again today, right yeah, yeah, actually, yeah,
(00:50):
it's impossible to get.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
More than that today. Bob.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
You went down there with your your son Jack, your
daughter Jordan was working down there volunteering.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Uh yeah, just how I how was it? It was awesome?
Speaker 3 (01:03):
It was amazing, like and it was pretty smooth, about
as smooth as it could be. Like I expected pure
chaos getting down there and getting in and everything to
be completely honest. And then what was about like one
o'clock yesterday, we started seeing reports from random people that
the parking ride lots were full or filling or yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah. I uh.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I pulled up at like five it was around five
to the parking ride lot and the candless and the
lot full sign was up. Yeah, and I'm like, holy crap,
like all right, gotta figure something out. But then I
just I pulled into the lot and they found a spot.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Dude. You know what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Though, it's they left a lot full sign up once
it hit capacity. But people are coming on and off
those buses, so as they rotate through like every fifteen minutes,
yeah or whatever. This twenty minutes that they arrived. Yeah,
people are leaving as they're coming, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
What I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Like it was a good flow a p right.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
I had no problem finding parking And we literally walked
over to the bus, hopped on the bus. Yeah, and
we were one of the last people on the bus
that we jumped on. Yeah, and we were on the
HOV lane within like ten minutes. Bus smell okay, uh yeah, yeah,
way back did it smell?
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Okay? I didn't go all the way. I didn't go deep.
I didn't go deep in the bus. Okay, I didn't
go deep. I can't you staying near the front of
the bus, by by the.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Door, I can't confirm what happened in the back of
the bus. Okay, I'll tell you right now. We have
a couple of Pittsburgh sports moments that, like, you know,
live with with all of us Insers, you know, immaculate reception,
Quato dropping the.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Ball, mass home run, things like that sticks. Uh, saying
the pick.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Is in when the Steelers picked twenty first and then
renegade hitting. Yeah, with three hundred and twenty thousand people
going nuts, that's one of the coolest moments. I don't
even know if i'd say sports moments. That's one of
the coolest moments I feel like in modern day Pittsburgh. Like,
(03:07):
I don't think I'm over selling that. I think if
you were there last night, you can probably agree with
me that you just felt like this is I don't
know if I'll be alive for another amazing moment like this,
Like how are we gonna top this?
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Ever? Well, maybe tonight we will.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
The vibes were amazing though, Yeah, you know you got
fans from every team, literally every team. Yeah, everybody was cool.
Everybody's nice, everybody's talking to each other. Nobody was drunk
trying to fight each other. At least I didn't see
it like anywhere. I didn't see it anywhere though, Like
everybody was cool, Like it was awesome. The vibes were amazing,
the city looked amazing, Yep, yep, all good.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
The weather was great.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
And then they picked an offensive lineman from Arizona State
who just started playing football in college.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
So listen, though, listen, listen, listen though they we.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Will do a round of Steelers Facebook comments coming up
around six forty here on the Kiss Morning Freak Show.
It's Mike you, Bob, you are giving me the rundown
off the air right now of your NFL Draft experience. Bob,
if you are so like you, you should not.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Be doing the show this morning.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
You should be going on all the big national sports
shows talking about NFL Draft Day one night one in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Cochrey O'Connor, you are the city.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
You are sitting here selling the NFL Draft to me
like I don't have like I need to be convinced
how awesome this is. I know how awesome. This is
it's unbelievable. Right, it's Mike and Bob the Kiss Morning
Freak Show. I want to know how much love you
got though, because tell everybody about the game that you
you went down there with your son Jack, Your daughter
(04:59):
Jordan was all tearing down there.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Point, so you're down there with your son Jack. You
know who's in high school goes North Allegheny. What's what
was the game you and Jack or Jack decided to play?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Jack was just counting how many people said hey as
we were walking through, just trying to walk to wherever
we needed.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Why did he think that would be a fun game
to play for NFL Draft night? Let's see how many
people recognize my dad, who's a large man with the
greatest mustache in Pittsburgh. Like, and how far did he
get or how long did he count people saying hi
to you at the draft? It didn't last long? Yeah, okay, right,
I think we have forty? Did he stop counting forty?
(05:37):
Would that take fifteen minutes? He's like, yeah, pretty much
like hey, as a as a dad with a son,
yeah you know, not like daughters can't be involved in this,
but like, you know, I know your son played football
and everything like that loves football. Like how cool of
a father son experience was that last night?
Speaker 1 (05:55):
The best? It was the best. He had a great time.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
And we didn't have any special access or anything, you know,
we were just hang Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
It was just dad and son hanging man. It was amazing.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Like there were a couple of friends from school that
were around, and I'm just like like, go find him, dude,
Like go have fun, right, go see him.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, go take a picture.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Like you're not gonna get to experiences probably if you
ever again, go enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
And I just kind of hung out. I was back
by McAfee set up like uh yeah where they were
doing some of the live shows and everything. Pat MC's
shown work set.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Up in the back of the draft there, so I
was just kind of hanging out there with a bunch
of people. But it was a NonStop flow of people
just coming and saying hi and taking pictures. I signed
a TG watt card. Okay, hold on, let me.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
When Bob got down to the NFL Draft because I'm wondering.
I'm like, you know, how is it getting down there?
Did you get in?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
And the first thing Bob sends me is dude, I'm
at the zoo.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
It's a big bob meet and greet.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I just signed a James Connor jersey and a TJ
Watt card and met a dude from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Then listened to the podcast every day, did the TJ
Walk cards. He handed me a sharpie and then it
was just on. Like the guy that was standing in
front of me shout out to call you. By the way,
there are a bunch of people from CALIU there that. Yeah,
I went out in Greensburg and listening to us their
whole lives al right. It was a big crew. It
was a big crew. I like it. I like it.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
One of the dudes as be signed a TJ Walk
card and then I'm holding a sharpie. This guy's wearing
like a legit James Connor jersey.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
He's like, can you sign my jersey? Why? He's all hammered.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I'm just like, you know, I'm not James Connor, and
he's like, I don't care, man, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
I listen to you my whole life.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Sign it.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
You have enough beers, And all of a sudden, Bob
just starts.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Ay, wait, I can't tell over that looks like an
NFL running back.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
What a night.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
We will get to a round of Steelers Facebook comments
coming up around six forty send us your draft talkback. Man,
is just what a weekend we are about to have.
Pittsburgh Basics Head the Mikey and Bob Podcast dealt with
the scattered shower this morning. We might see some more
(08:14):
rain overnight tonight into early Saturday morning, though there should
not be like a big like washout or anything for
the draft. We still should have a really good draft
weather today. Pittsburgh, It's Mikey, It's Bob. The ninety six
to one Kiss Morning Freak Show. Pittsburgh did their thing,
three hundred and twenty thousand people for Night one of
(08:35):
the NFL Draft. Hey, I'm telling you it's Friday today, baby,
Not a lot of us gotta work on the weekend.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Man, Tonight might even be bigger.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah, you know, especially Bob and I know we're talking
about this on the show, but the amount of logistics
that Bob is spitting to me, and like recapping the
draft of how long he wait in lines and you
know you can the refillable water stations and just things
like that, Just the intricacies of how things moved and
(09:07):
you know, self checkout for a beer and things are moving.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
By the way. The toilet situation too. Oh this is
big right here, beautiful, beautiful excuse. I think the NFL
has figured this out over the years, figured out toilets
over the years, and like drinks, food, yeah, fast check
out probably gets better.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
With every draft, they learned something new, how you can
do things better. You know, everything flowed, man, it did
it really did a lot of potties though, a lot
of porta potties, a lot of availability, not.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
A lot of weight or anything.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
No, no, hey, Pittsburgh, we did it for draft toilets.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
So here's a quick look at Points State Parker.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
You got and what they're doing for the draft. They delivered,
They did delivered. He was right, there was enough of them. Hey.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
One of the uh, one of the things that is
sort of like an NFL draft sort a tradition is
when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell jumps up on stage to
welcome everybody to whatever city the draft is in, he
just gets booed loudly and Pittsburgh delivered.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
It's great, Pittsburgh, here we are, come on, okay, Roger.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Three hundred thousand people.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Let go, he kill you there you come.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
I kind of like that Roger Goodell, like I think
the first couple of years has happened.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
He was embarrassed to be booed. Now he just he
knows he's the heel. He know. Nobody's gonna be a
fan of the commissioners. Yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
One of the one of the things about the draft, though,
that is going to be talked about, is how the
Eagles have possibly stolen who could be a great wide
receiver from the Steelers last night by trading up one
spot ahead of the Steelers to pick a wide receiver.
Here was NFL Networks ian Rappaple on what happened with
(11:02):
the Steelers and Eagles last night. I can't believe this
is like the two Pennsylvania teams. The draft is in Pennsylvania, Bob,
you said there are a ton.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Of Eagles fans, Ton, right, yeah, Ton, So this for
me and rap Ward.
Speaker 7 (11:16):
Pittsburgh Steelers get on the phone with McKayle Lemon planning
to select him next to twenty one. Except what they
didn't know is the Eagles had.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Actually traded up over them.
Speaker 7 (11:25):
We're trying to get in touch with Lemon, but he
wasn't answering because he was already on the phone with
the Steelers.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Okay, so there's this wide receiver, great wide receiver from
USC McKay lemon, right, Oh, Steelers could use him right
there sniffing around on the phone with them having to
talk like him, welcome to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
We're gonna take you that.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
And Philly moved up and traded ahead of the Steelers
and took him while he was still talking to the
Steelers on the phone, like omar Con could be on
the phone like you ready to be a Steeler.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
In the end of the Eagles do the trades.
Speaker 7 (11:56):
They get McKay lemon, and the Steelers grab a tackle r.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Yeah, and then of course next pick they get offensive
tackle Max a hot at Choor with the twenty first pick.
But I think those two guys like following hit him
in the wide receiver's career. Now it's gonna be like, well,
if this wide receiver turns out to be this great
wise here Steelers watched it.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Right, dude.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
I don't know any other time where it's been documented
where the team's been on the phone at somebody.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
It's wild. It's in having the conversation, just like, hey,
you're our guy. We're taking the next It is wild
how that happened, right, Welcome to Pittsburgh. It is you
know the Steelers released like the call video.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Oh I want to see that, right.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
I wonder if there's one that happened that will never
get released now.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Because he wasn't even talking to the team.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I laughed, but I also kind of want to cry though,
because the Steelers seemed to be locked in on this
wide receiver and they.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Were he was the guy. He was the guy they wanted.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
So what did the Eagles post on social media last
night after they jumped the Steelers to take their wide receiver?
The Eagles account post, lol go Flyers, Jesus. Unreal trolling, Well,
unreal trolling. We will read a round of Steelers Facebook
comments coming up next year. On the Kiss Morning Freak Show,
(13:12):
It's Mikey and Bob Draft. Show them Mikey and Bob Podcast.
If you were done draft last night, we want to
hear from you. You can send a talkback message through
the free iHeartRadio app easiest way to get on the show.
Talk back messages brought to us by our friends over
at one team Media.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Hey, Bob, I just wanted to say thank you so
much for taking a selfie with my buddy and I yeah,
I apologize for how drunk he was, but in all seriousness,
you really have meant a lot to us nice throughout
both of our lives, and I hope you had a
good time at the draft. Thank you for taking a
(13:52):
selfie with us, and happy birthday. Let's go still. Hey,
thank you Bob's birthdays January?
Speaker 2 (13:59):
First, do you remember taking a selfie with him an
obnoxiously drunk friend? Do you remember those two.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Maybe, or just anybody obnoxiously drunk, like not sloppy, like
fall down drunk. But there are some drunk guys that
took some selfies with last night. Okay, all right, yeah, yeah,
a little picture time with with some some friends there.
I think people walk up to us and I don't
know what they expect. Yeah, it's like we're normal. They're
they're like stun that we like will talk.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
I'll sit there to somebody for twenty minutes and not
even think twice about it.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
We're all humans here. You ready to get to her?
On a Steelers Facebook comments.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Yeah, Steelers pick Arizona State tackle Max on a tour
with the twenty first pick. He's six foot five three
and twenty one pounds. He's from Nigeria. He just recently
started playing football in college. The Steelers pick him to
throw him on the offensive line. And then we read
(14:57):
some of the Facebook comments.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
Oh my, go to a very deep dark place on
the internet. Everyone is a GM. Yeah, everyone has a coach.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Shit yea.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
I was going to get treatedge every sauce. It's time
for Steelers Facebook comments.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Steelers get a big beefy boy for the offensive line
Arizona State offensive tackle maxa Honotour with the twenty first pick.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Let's read some Steelers Facebook comments.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Devin m and here we thought it was Mike Tomlin
that was really bad at making draft picks. And we're
off Kevin f. The war room for the Steelers looked stunned.
Mike McCarthy was slumped in his seat golf clapping for
the pick. They all looked like hostages. Awful first night,
just awful. Pat ass in the Steelers Facebook comments, my
(15:47):
friends call me big Dog. Okay, I'm gonna call this
guy big Dog. Sorry, man, I got a nickname whim already.
I just think of what Why would you just post
that on Facebook?
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Hey, everybody, everybody calls me big Dog. I got nicknamed
for a new guy. Now he's the big dog too.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Steelers Facebook comments after their first round draft pick offensive
lineman Arizona State Max Hanatur John m. The fact that
we saw his friends butt cheeks second after the pick
was announced really sums up the pick. I think the
Steelers picked this pick and it's pure butt.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
They did have the at Houston family cam and his
buddy jumps up and I need to hold cheeks to
the cam. You gotta hold cheeks out. I mean he's
wearing underwear.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
But yeah, but you gotta know, you gotta know if
you're gonna turn to the cam, that's gonna be the
live shot of the draft reaction.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Gotta have the pants pulled up right, you can see
cheek outline.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Steelers Facebook comments after the first round draft pick Ronald l.
On the plus side, we don't have to see coach
Tomlin stand on the sideline with his arms crossed this year.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Hey, I'm just saying, is that all we got going?
Speaker 8 (17:00):
Like?
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Hey, by the way, careful what we wish for here? Okay,
man Chuck aff the Steelers got the t move version
of Roderick Jones.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
Don't do that.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
We can't do this young man yet.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Okay, jeez, it might be all right, and we'll get
one more here for this round. The Mike McCarthy and
O mar Con Steelers era has started out with the
draft in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
And nothing but a big wet fart.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Oh no, jeez, I thought we drafted offensive lineman.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
I didn't know, Mike McCarthy. You know markn drafted. We
fart with the twenty first pick.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
The new Steelers era starts with sharks. We'll do another round.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
The Steelers draft Facebook comments. Around eight point thirty. We
will get to today in freak Show history. Take you
back to twenty seventeen when the Steelers drafted a guy
named TJ. Watt, who there is now a future Hall
of Famer. We'll read the Steelers Facebook comments. Take you
back to twenty seventeen. Coming up next year it is
(18:07):
Mikey and Bob the Kiss Morning Free Show. Let's get
to a talkback message brought to us by Pavement Group.
Speaker 9 (18:12):
Mikey Bob, you boy, smoke Gotti. Hey, Pittsburgh Draft night
number one baby.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Whoa yeah yeah, it was.
Speaker 9 (18:20):
A ball down there. Hell yeah, you all got to
check out the Steelers' Instagram video, dude, and about the
twenty six mark the guy here. Sure to check that out.
It's a classic.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Okay, let's go stealing, all right here, I need to
go grab hold on. Here's what's gonna happen because I'm
so glad Smoke Gotti reminded me because this was the
last thing I saw before I went to bed last night.
It was when the Steelers pick right. Before they announced
pick right, the guys from the band sticks obviously you
sing Renegade. Yeah, they come on the screen say the
(18:56):
pick is in, and then Renegade plays. There was a guy,
a Steeler fan in like the front row that did
like a yell during Renegade. We'll have that coming up next.
Stick around for it, trust me, because it's just one
of those. It's one of those moments you might not
have clought last night, but it's gonna be funny. Let's
(19:17):
get to today in Free Show history right now and
take you back.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Here we go today.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Today, we are taking you back to the morning after
the twenty seventeen first round draft.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
The Steelers pick this guy out of Wisconsin.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
His name is TJ.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Watt.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Turned out pretty good, probably a first ballot Hall of Famer.
But the day after the Steelers drafted TJ. Watt in
twenty seventeen, here is two minutes of the Facebook comments
Patrick d Here Steelers Facebook comments after they draft TJ.
Watt in the first round. What a joke of a
first round pick? Can't believe I stayed up for this.
(20:05):
He's a late second to third round pick at best.
Doesn't matter anyways, they can't beat the Patriots to save
their life.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Horrible pick.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Roger s here, dumb pick had him going second or
third rounds in my mock drafts Oh, we got a
mock draft expert who not only did you do a
mock draft, Roger, you then went to the Steelers Facebook
page to bitch about who they picked.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
And where he was in your mock draft.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Wow, Andre, see here, time to rebuild the steel curtain
and if Tomlin can't do it or does it, want
to get him out of here. I can see if
they drafted somebody on offense, you would say, ty hey,
rebuild the steel curtain er, get out of here. Martin
em Here Steelers Facebook comments on drafting TJ.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Watt.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
We need a backup quarterback, not a guy who's eating
off his brother's name.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Shake my head.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Let's go with Eric Jay here. Oh this one. The
NFL Draft was fixed by good Dob.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
TJ.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Watt falls to the Steelers. Fixed. I am done watching
this fixed crap. We lost somebody over the draft. I
wonder how much the Patriots paid to win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Oh boy, Eric, come f I'm done Draft Day and
I'm gonna miss stealing boo and I'm gonna miss stealing football.
Those are just a couple of the Facebook comments after
(21:42):
Steelers picked TJ.
Speaker 10 (21:44):
Watt.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
So maybe it's less than everybody today.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
If you go to the Steelers Facebook page or any
other comments on social media and you see they posted
about the guy they picked, the Max Honachur. Maybe don't
go in the comments just ripping on the guy because
he did the same thing for TJ.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Watt and it turned out pretty good.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
We'll get to another round of Steelers Facebook comings around
eight thirty. It's Mikey, Bob, Me and Bob are just
in here talking about how you know, obviously the parking
and the traffic head users just going nuts for the
past couple of years.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Are we gonna get down there where we're going park?
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, panic, Yeah, the football Flyers, the buses going north,
southeast and west, and people using ride shares, and you know,
three hundred and twenty five thousand people estimated down there
and there wasn't backups or congestion, no or anything because
people just yeah, followed the rules and it worked.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
It's pretty awesome. It's mikey Abob Kiss Morning Freak Show.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Let's get to another one of your talkback messages here
obviously talking a lot about the draft, not just because football,
but just this was one of the coolest things that's
ever happened in the city of Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Talkback messages brought to us by the Pavement Group.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Why is Hermando Mendoza the number one pick? But he's
too good to come to Pittsburgh?
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Maybe he shouldn't be the number one pick.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Maybe he wants to stay at home with his family.
You don't know why Hermando.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Okay, the Raiders, the Vegas Raiders did have the number
one pick. They drafted the quarterback out of Indiana, but
he wasn't in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
He was doing a thing with.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
This that lady to be our draft that I want
this lady every pick.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
To just Hermando Mendoza.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
I mean, it's Fernando Mendoza, but Hermando. Why isn't her Mandore.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Why is Hermando Mendoza the number one pick? But he's
too good to come to Pittsburgh. I don't know, maybe
he shouldn't be the number one pick.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Yeah, maybe the Las Vegas Raiders will be like, dude,
you're not going to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
We don't want you to be the future of our franchise.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
All Right, that didn't make a ton of sense. But
let's get to the renegad moment here. Okay, So the
Steelers are picking right first round, twenty first pick. They
take the offensive lineman Matt's a hotachor from from Arizona State.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
But right before the Steelers pick Man, the band Sticks
comes on the screen and says the pick is in.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Hey there, if there was a Pittsburgh draft movie like
this would be. It was like a damn movie. Like
the entire place just goes nuts.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
It's like a It's just like a video. It's gonna
be replayed over and over again.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
When you talk about like the record breaking crowd size,
three hundred and twenty five thousand people, just Renegade playing
before the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Pick hounds of Steeler fans, but just fans from all
around the country and they know this is our thing
from every team just got the experience that moment.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yeah awesome, all right, So hold on because here was
the uh here was Renegade at the draft. I want
you to pay attention. You're gonna hear this guy scream o.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
My life from the got him? Not him?
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Hold on, he's coming, man, He's so awesome and I'm
so sticks Renegade. Huh oh my build up? Three hundred
and twenty five thousand people? What the hell was that?
Speaker 1 (25:28):
That's not a he couldn't hold it anymore? Was that
teradactical could hold it? It's this guy wearing a Heinz
War jersey.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
He's like front row up by the stage, Dude, Like,
do I even need to play the rest of Renegade?
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Like like we all know what happens after that, right?
You hear the crowd It is so loud. What is happening?
And somehow the noise from this man pretty jacks. They're
they're doing crowd shots Oh my god, they're showing you
like light draw. It's three or twenty five thousand people
who was in it, like Renegade, and Renegade is building
(26:06):
and building and building in Steeler Nation. We all know
that into.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
You're right, hey, oh, the draft built up in that
man for two years.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
It did everything.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Who are we picking, where are we parking, how we
getting down there? How much the beers cost? It was
all building up and then in one moment, Renegade released it.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
All for it.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
They didn't have a care in the world, alright.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Coming up next here the Yes Morning Freak Show. We're
getting a lot of people that are experiencing Pittsburgh for
the first time in a long time or the first
time maybe ever. So coming up next a round seven
twenty five on the show. I gotta get to this
video that I saw last night.
Speaker 11 (27:11):
Okay, you know what, fine, I'll say if Pittsburgh is.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Gross, Oh boy, come on, Pittsburgh is gross. Wold Brother
coming up around seven twenty five and we'll do another
round of Steelers Facebook comments after their first round pick
around eight thirty. It's Mikey Bob kiss our guy.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Cam Hayward's gonna be doing his podcast Not Just Football
one to four pm today from the Heinz History Center
before rounds two and three of the NFL Draft kickoff
at seven pm today. And remember this, this tonight, this
evening is Whiz Khalifa and Brett Michaels. That gets started
quarter after five. That's on the main stage, right Yeah. See,
(27:53):
I think we.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
All saw how awesome this draft is in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Record raft crowd three hundred, twenty five thousand people, right man,
good weather again today, Vibes are off the charts in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
Right now.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
They're gonna throw a whisk leaf of Brett Michaels up
on that stage before the draft starts. Man, it's a
lot explosion. Cannot describe all the things happening with Pittsburgh
right now. Yeah, like the like the guy guy yelling
at Renegade, This is all of us.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
What are you gonna do?
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Let's get to this talkback message brought to us by
one team Media.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
Hey, so can we sit here and talk about how
the electric Yeah they introduced the Steelers first pick, like
I don't even.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Know the dude is awesome.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
Damn NFL and Roger Cadot, can we do that every
damn time I recorded my TV.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Like, I literally video cours my TV on my poat.
We're gonna do that video.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Like ten years from now, you'll be like, hey, I
got the video of the moment. I knew Maxnotore was
gonna be a Steeler. Hold on one second, though, because
I got to get to this video. You know, there's
a lot of shows, big national sports shows and stuff,
a lot of news that's.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
In town, that's in town.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
The Dan Patrick Show obviously used to be out of ESPN,
just very popular podcasted show. One of the guys of
the show, Seaton, he gave his his draft recap Walking
Away from the Draft last night.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Now he had me in the first half with this, Okay.
Speaker 11 (29:43):
You know what, fine, I'll say it, Pittsburgh is gross.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
I'm ready to just I'm already ready to get in
the comments and be like where are you because I'm
gonna come down tomorrow and I'm gonna find you and
fight you if you say Pittsburgh is gross.
Speaker 11 (29:57):
But hold on, Okay, you know what, fine, I'll say it,
Pittsburgh is gross. Lee underrated as a city.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Grossly underrated as a city. There we go like that.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
I think what he's about to say, is what a
lot of people from out of town experience, not just
maybe they've been to Pittsburgh before, but even instead have
lived here for so long, people born and raised here.
This is new to us. We've never seen anything.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Like happened last night riding the buses and on the
football flyers. There were so many people on the buses
just because everybody's talking each other that grew up here,
moved to someplace else. Yeah, like the guy sitting in
front of him from South Florida. Yeah, but wanting to
come back for the drafts and gets the experience this
whole new Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Yeah, it's like a whole new city probably for people
that moved away. Yeah, and this is a seating from
the Dan Patrick Show leaving the Draft.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Just this place is awesome.
Speaker 11 (30:48):
There's like hills off to the side that sort of
we got hills fall into the rivers. It's the people
are really nice. The city is like super underrated.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
It's awesome here. And you know what, the NFL. NFL
events are better.
Speaker 11 (31:03):
In medium sized cities than in large cities, like the
super Bowl, the Draft, things like that.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
There's so much better.
Speaker 11 (31:10):
In places like Pittsburgh and Indianapolis than like New York
La San Francisco, because when you're in a big city,
you don't even really notice that they're there, But in
a medium city, like a medium sized city, the whole
city gets behind them up and it's just it's a blast.
Like people are so stoked that the draft this year.
There were a million Steelers fans here. Wait, fans from
(31:34):
all over the world. This is Pittsburgh is a great city.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
It really is.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
So now when you when you hear all the politicians, like,
you know, we had Mayor Corey O'Connor on our show
talking about the draft and stuff, and they talk about
how just you know, show people tell people, uh you know, uh,
the way we behave, the way we treat people is
gonna help with people looking at Pittsburgh just.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
Going hey, I wouldn't mind being there, dude.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
The vibes were great yesterday when I was down there,
Like I said, everybody was having a great time, and
like we got off the bus around Market Square, walk
through Market Square. The new Market Square is amazing, Yeah, beautiful. Yeah,
the point the points never looked so damn good.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
I mean, when they did that red carpet with the
picks uh, like before they you know, went across the
river to the stage like the picks at the Red
carpet like that with the Hines logos like the Hines
Red Carpet, and then the fountains in the background, and
and then you see Mount Washington, but it's not like
the Mount Washington like with the all apartments and stuff
(32:40):
like you see like.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Just glean it's it was just amazing.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
And I don't I don't care how long you've lived here,
if you're born and raised here, you were falling even
more in love with the city than you already have,
because she was like, oh man, we got to see
this every day, like crap we live in like like heaven.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
This city's awesome when it really you know, the shining man. Hey,
let's run it back on Pittsburgh. Let's run it back.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Whoever's idea was to put the big screen on the
window downtown.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
That's that's one of the coolest parts of the draft.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
That's all, Oh my god, look right, it's so it's
so so. I saw somebody comment that it looks tacky,
like oh, like a price is right, like game board or.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Something like that. Get out of here. That is sweet, like.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
It's like this big screen of all time, three hundred
foot tall.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Man. We will get to u Steelers Facebook comments after
their first round draft pick coming up around eight thirty.
Also your chance to win one thousand dollars around nine
to ten.
Speaker 10 (33:46):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
I honestly don't know what Omar Khan, the Steelers GM
and head coach new head coach's first pick. Mike McCarthy said,
we will get to that after of course, first round pick.
We will get to that coming up next on the
kids Morning Freak Shots.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Mike, you bump.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Bob would like to tell everybody about cookie tables.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Now. They had a cookie table at the draft. Where
was it?
Speaker 3 (34:12):
I didn't see it in person, but okay, of course
I'm part of a Facebook group. You are the wedding
cookie table community. Huge, hundreds of thousands of members on Facebook, right,
hundreds of thousand strong mic yes, worldwide cookie tables who
share their love of cookie tables. It was in one
of the draft zones, like the private tickets where you
(34:34):
could buy oh.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Yeah yeah, like fancy rich people seats. Yeah yeah, sure,
look at it though, Look how cool that looks. There's
like a whole Pittsburgh it was lit up. It's Pittsburgh.
We'll spread of cookies football cookies there. Geez, that's an
ultimate cookie man. We thought everything. Huh, Pittsburgh was shining,
(34:57):
shining last night. It's gonna shine again, and today it's
gonna shine again on Saturday. It's just awesome. It's Mikey
above the ninety six one Kiss Morning Freak Show. There
was an actual draft last night, though, where players like
get drafted to their NFL team Steelers. That happened, of course,
take Arizona State offensive tackle Max Han a tour with
(35:19):
the with the twenty first pick. Here is Steelers GM
Omar Khan on Max's potential.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Oh, he's just he's just getting started.
Speaker 11 (35:26):
You know, he hasn't played a lot of football in
his life, and it's he's only going to get better.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
This guy's a Steelers. So with that excited, you know,
it gives us a lot of options on the offensive line.
And yeah, yeah, I said it can't wait.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yeah, it's sort of weird though. Here in the Steelers
GM just be like, yeah, we're excited about this dude
drafting my first round and paying millions of dollars. He
hadn't played a lot of football, though.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Wasn't his main sports soccer growing up. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (35:50):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Nigerian moved to the LA area. Is thirteen years old
with his parents. Played soccer and basketball in high school.
Started playing football at East LA and then he was
a juco trance for the Arizona State didn't allow any sacks.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
This past season.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
He was tied for the fastest in the forty yard
dash among offensive tackles. He ran a four to nine, which, okay,
ridiculous for his thigh but though nine inch hands were
tied for the smallest of tackles at the tone. So
he's fast, but he's got He's got Kenny Pikett hands.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
He's a giant man with tiny hands.
Speaker 6 (36:23):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Then there was of course Mike McCarthy, the new Steelers said, coach,
he's super insurt talking about Max.
Speaker 12 (36:29):
We're excited about Max. Our offensive line coaches are bouncing
off the wall. I know it's a little late. You
guys look like you're dragging a little bit, but I
can't tell you enough about you don't have enough big
man up front. He is a great fit for us,
just the stud of a young man. You know throughout
the process, you know you heard about him a little
bit early, and he just kept growing and growing and
(36:50):
growing through the evaluation. So and as we really winded
on this week, he you know, just frankly just kept
climbing up our board. So we were just real excited
that he was there. And I think it's the next
one pick pick for us and he'll be a great
addition to our offensive line.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Again, it's you know, it's not the sexiest of picks.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Its no, but no, it's not.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Again when you get when you get late into the season,
when you're wondering why, you know, the running games getting
two and a half yards.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Carrey McCarthy's right, you can never have enough meat. That's right.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
First round pick. The Eagles jumped ahead of us and
got a wide receiver. So then we were sitting around
just like, can't go wrong with big meaty men, can
you Let's get him. We will read some Steelers' Facebook
comments on the first round. Coming up around eight thirty
on the Kiss Morning Freak Show, Your Chance to win
one thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Around nine ten, it's Mike and Bob the Mikey and
Bob Podcast. Hey, thank you for listening to our Mikey
and Bob podcast. Now. Whatever you're listening on, we appreciate it,
thank you, yep. But if you're listening on our free
iHeartRadio app, you can hit that little talkback microphone, send
(37:58):
us a message. You can send us a message about
previous shows, the latest show, something you want us to
cover on the show. Let us know where you're listening from. Two.
Oh yeah, that's fun too, right people in random places.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
Yeah, I hit that little talkback microphone and you can
send us a message and maybe you'll.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Make the show.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
I can't get over how Pittsburgh looked last night.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
You know, you look beautiful, Pittsburgh. I just can't and
I can't get over how I guess little traffic there was.
There was no traffic nightmare. Like we all listened and
ride shared and took the football flyers.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Awesome Pittsburgh. We figured it out was gonna be disaster. Hey,
you're not miles of backup. Yeah, there wasn't. There wasn't.
Pittsburgh sets the NFL draft record three hundred and twenty
five thousand people, beating the uh just under three hundred
thousand set in Detroit a couple of years ago. And
it don't stop today. Pittsburgh It's Mikey the Kiss Morning
Freak Show. The Pitt Block party at Arts Landing kicks
(39:04):
off at nine am this morning. Market Square is gonna
be open. Market Square looks incredible, it really does. Like
get over to that area that opens at ten am.
Damar Hamlin, who of course local Yinzer played at Pitt.
Then you know he goes to the Bills. He almost
dies on the football field, has his own foundation, does
amazing stuff. Yeah, Damar Hamlin gonna be at Acrossuer noon
(39:25):
to two pm today, So if you're down there for
the draft, go buy Acrossuer. Damar Hamlin is going to
be trying to set the CPR world record. They're looking
for a couple thousand people to do it. That is
noon to two today. Damar Hamlin going for the CPR
record at Akrosher and then that tops tenth that they
have inside Afrosser.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
On the field, man, I saw so many fans just
coming in from out of town just like I'm on
the field. Like there's so many little things that are
so cool that are happening right now in the city,
just like awesome, Like just NFL fans freaking out that
they're the field at Akrosher, so that.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Today is gonna be again a lot of people that
you'll be able to meet. Legendary pitt running back James Connor.
He'll be in the tops ten today from one thirty
to two thirty. Mel Blunt is going to be signing
autographs at Point State Park from two to three thirty.
Willie Parker at Point State Park two thirty to four.
Oh yeah, Jalen Warren Steelers running backs gonna be in
(40:22):
the lowest ten outside Acressher three to four. John Stalworth
at Point State Park from four thirty to six. Then
of course five round five thirty main stage of the
NFL Draft, Whiz Khalifa and Brett Michaels. Get a couple
of super yinser musical superstars up there driving on a
(40:47):
Friday night in Pittsburgh. Lynn Swan's also gonna be down
Point State Park six to seven thirty. And then of
course the draft starts at at seven pm today. All right,
let's get to a quick talkback message here. You can
send him through the free iHeartRadio approt to us by
one Team Media.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
Hey guys, good morning.
Speaker 7 (41:08):
Is it just me or the guy that.
Speaker 10 (41:11):
Screams during renegade he makes a noise that sounds like
something out of Bob's laugh track.
Speaker 13 (41:18):
Let me know if you guys hear it, all right.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
Hold on one second, all right, now we all know
what happened. Right during the during the Steelers pick, Styx
comes on and says, the pick is in.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
They hit renegade.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Renegade is awesome, maybe one of the greatest, most memorable
renegades of all time. Right yeah, And the camera cuts
to this guy on the main feed and he's in
heinz War Jersey, and he just yells out a yell here.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
All right, so he.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Now, I went through the Bob laugh track, and this
is the closest thing I think we can find.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
It's not it's not bad. It's not bad. You almost
sound like the guy. So let's let's see what happens
when we put Bob's sort of a yell into this here.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
That's not bad.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
It's not that far off from what.
Speaker 5 (42:15):
The guy was.
Speaker 14 (42:16):
Right.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Listen, If there's one noise that sums up the NFL
Draft in Pittsburgh, if there is one noise, it's not
anything that has to do is sticks or renegade. It's
not the draft noise.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Ding one sound that describes the draft in Pittsburgh, a
guy in a hinz War jersey whose body just lets
out a prehistoric yell because the Steelers are.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
On the clock, the pick is in. He just couldn't
hold it in anymore, and Stick's renegade is playing.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
All right, there might be a moment today during the
second round where there has a potential to be an
absolutely electric moment at the draft. Okay, Steelers pick fifty third,
Yeah yeah, in the second round? Right, the Bears pick
(43:24):
fifty seventh. All I'm saying, Steelers, we trade back four spots,
go get it like a seventh round pick or something.
Why't you trade back four spots?
Speaker 1 (43:37):
Do the right thing?
Speaker 2 (43:38):
Maybe let the Bears move up. Okay, hey, Bears do
the right thing here. If the Steelers trade to get
picked fifty seven and then draft somebody, they're getting the
Hines fifty seven coat, they're getting an endorsement deal, and
they're getting lifetime.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
Hines catch up. How the hell can't the Steelers pick
fifty seven.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Like it should be written in the cont All right,
we're hosting a draft. We get the fifty seventh pick.
Nobody played about it. That's what I want today. I
want them to trade for the fifty seventh pick and
just draft the catchup man, because somebody today at the
draft he's gonna be a catchup man and it should
be the Steelers pick. And right now it's gonna be
a Chicago Bear that ends up being the the catchup man.
(44:20):
It's Mikey Bob mc kiss Morning Freak Show. The Steelers
course draft and offensive lineman with their first pick, the
twenty first pick in the in the NFL Draft, the
Steelers take offensive linemen from Arizona State, Max Honachor. We
don't know a lot about him. He hasn't played a
lot of football. From Nigeria, then moved to La. He
(44:41):
played juco junior college football, then Arizona State and he
did great, but turned twenty three in October.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
He played a lot of soccer growing up.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Yeah, soccer and basketball, and then he fell in love
with football. And you're like, wow, I'm a big guy.
I can throw other people around. Maybe football is my thing.
But the PI before that, the Philadelphia Eagles trade it up.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Damn it Eagles.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
The Steelers apparently had their eye on a wide receiver
out of USC right.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yeah, and then, according to Ian rappaport.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
Here is the story that happened on how the Eagles
jumped the Steelers in sort of maybe screwed them over
on the wide receiver they were looking for.
Speaker 7 (45:26):
Pittsburgh Steelers get on the phone with McKay lemon, planning
to select it next to twenty one.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah, that's McKay lemon, great wide receiver out of USC.
If we had that dude in the slot with DK
metcalf and new wide receiver Michael Pittman that we got
from the Colts, bombs, I know.
Speaker 7 (45:47):
Except what they didn't know is the Eagles had actually
traded up over them.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
We're trying to get in touch with Lemon. Steelers are
on the phone with this dude. Omar's probably telling him,
Mike McCarthy's probably telling him, you ready to be a
Pittsburgh Steeler.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
It's crazy because they were on the phone that entire
trade sequence, and then all the way up to the pick,
they were probably even passing the phone off just like
we're gonna let you talking to the wide receivers coach,
all right, you know Omar's gonna talk to.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
You now watching TV. It's just like pick us in
for the Eagles. What do you mean the Eagles are
taking out Yeah. Again, this is Ian Rapaport from NFL Network.
Speaker 7 (46:17):
But he wasn't answering because he was already on the
phone with the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
In the end, that the.
Speaker 7 (46:22):
Eagles do the trade, they get mkay.
Speaker 5 (46:25):
Lemon and the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
Grab a tackle.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Rd F like not saying they're not happy with Max
tore right, but this guy's always going to be compared
now to the wide receiver that the Eagles stole. The
Eagles reposted Ian Rapaport's report and posted this is from
the Eagles. The Eagles official account, they posted lo ol
(46:48):
go Flyers.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
Damn it Philadelphia. Why got to do that?
Speaker 2 (46:53):
By the way, Coach Couer was on the Pat McAfee
show Draft Spectacular. Here is Coach Coward and what he
thinks of the Steelers first round pick Max Hanatcher.
Speaker 14 (47:04):
I get to see the look in Milmour's eyes and
Mike's eye. You're right, he's wrong. He hasn't played a
lot of football, but he's got all the measurables. You're
talking about, his athleticism, his long arms, and I think
he does go to right tackle and he's try over
to left tackle, and I think that, Like you said,
I got bookends, still got dressed a left guard situation.
But again, I think this was a great pick.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
All right, Hey, Bill Carr's all in here was part
of Pat McAfee's draft spectacular last night in Long eight.
Let's take it.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Let's take a dip into Steeler Nation though we got
a brand new round of Steelers Facebook comments after the
first round of the draft, a round eight thirty. It's
Mikey and Bob not six one. That's a brainer, Carpenter,
When did you get hot? It's Mikey, It's Bob. The
ninety six to one Kiss Morning Freak Show. Day two
of the NFL Draft, with rounds two and three, starts
the night around seven pm. Picks will be moving fast,
(47:54):
by the way, picks moved fast last night, them changing
it from ten minutes to eight minutes. Yep for teams
on the clock, like the draft moved pretty fast. Uh
last night, of course, the Steelers picking offensive lineman Max
Hawn at you from Arizona State. He hasn't played a
lot of football, but he's raw, He's got potential. He's
(48:15):
a big beefy boy for the offensive line.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
Uh, let's get to the Steelers Facebook comments.
Speaker 6 (48:23):
Here dark place on the internet. Everyone is a g yeah,
everyone is a coach.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
Everything. It's time for Steelers Facebook comments.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Steelers drafting offensive lineman with the twenty first pick, Max
haun At you out of Arizona State. And then we
read the Facebook comments Chris f here, Hey, Rooney, Hey, Omar,
hey McCarthy, Okay, way to take a panic crap all
over yourself after the Eagles swooped in and stole the.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Guy we really wanted.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
Embarrassing scat Oh no, Edward d I don't think I've
ever been more proud and disappointed at the same time.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
Huh city looked amazing. Renegade hitting amazing. That looked awesome.
Huh I almost jumped through my damn TV. And then
we just pick a guy and nobody's really excited about
Ian Okay, yeah, yeah, you don't know. This guy could
be generational. We've Hall of Famer, ain't nobody knows we've learned.
(49:29):
How about we just let it play out over the years.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
Chase s here in the Steelers Facebook comments, Yeah, because
this pick is ass, because thought it was gonna be
something special because the drafts in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
Man, but they.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
Went out and found the only guy doesn't really play
football the draft in the first round, Scott w Great,
the Steelers got the O'Neal cruise of football. Can't wait
to hear every reason why this guy should be good,
but he ends up sucking butt. Mike in the Steelers
first round Facebook comments.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
If I'm Aaron Rodgers, Okay.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
Hey, why don't you stop right there, Mike, because you're
not Aaron Rodgers. You're Mike on the Steelers Facebook comments page.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Fancy Aaron Rodgers? What happened?
Speaker 2 (50:15):
If I'm Aaron Rodgers, I'm really having second thoughts about.
Oh no, please Steelers Jesus. Okay, all right, we're praying
to Steelers Jesus. I've seen Steelers Jesus before down at
the draft. There. Let the reset begin with Will Howard
and look to pick higher next season.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
All right?
Speaker 2 (50:37):
By the way, though, I would think drafting drafting a
big beefy boy to protect Aaron Rodgers would make him happy, though.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
Right you think?
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Steelers Facebook comments about the first round draft pick, Joe
m This is embarrassing for so many reasons why Pittsburgh
dropped the ball. Save Jerome Medison the kids for later.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Yeah, Hey, he didn't like this pick, so he said,
we should have saved Bussy and the kids to announce it.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
Bussy and the kids deserved a better pick. Mason as here.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
He played for Arizona State. You know coaches there, heinz Ward.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
I wonder if finds Ward he's already taught him the
Stealer way he did? I know, I heard he called
him the sa good guy just hasn't played a lot
of football, though.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
I taught him the Steeler way I heard. And one
more here Chris d Hey, this guy came from Nigeria
and they played football at Arizona State.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
My question is, has this guy ever seen snow before? Oh?
Speaker 1 (51:42):
Jeez wow?
Speaker 2 (51:43):
Was that part of the wha pre draft rundown? What
the hell happens when this guy gets here sees snow
for the first time, driving snow? He's good freaking play football.
We have been talking a lot about how it it
(52:05):
appears that the Philadelphia Eagles jumped over the Steelers one
pick to take the wide receiver from USC that the
Steelers were on the phone with when the Eagles drafted him. Well,
the stories about the draft, as far as the Steelers go,
it's Mikey and Bob the ninety six to one Kiss
Morning Freak Show. Then I said, the Eagles tweeted out
(52:25):
Ian Rapport's video of them stealing the Steelers wide receiver.
They tweeted out, lol go Flyers, now Penguins, Flyers, That
series is just ass. Penguins are down three to nothing
Game four on Saturday. Yeah, got gritty their mascot throwing
a Penguin suit, you know, down.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
To the lower level.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
Game three, the Eagles just pile on with the Flyers
joke after stealing the guy that we thought we were
going to draft.
Speaker 1 (52:55):
And there's a lot of Eagles fans.
Speaker 2 (52:56):
They're in town right now for the NFL Draft, and
I would say even more today that.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
Are just gonna Turnpike over here and just come in
for the night.
Speaker 2 (53:05):
Well, let me tell you, if we look at Philadelphia
and Pittsburgh is like we don't like each other, you know,
and this and bloods and crips and rival gangs and
stuff like that, we hate you, you hate us all
this stuff, there was a moment yesterday where it felt
like we were united with Philadelphia. All you need to
(53:26):
do is find a common enemy.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
That's all. So this was a ride on the tea.
Last night.
Speaker 2 (53:33):
You had Eagles fans that were just going eat gee,
and of course there's Steeler fans on the other end
of the tea yelling back. Is that all you know
how to spell?
Speaker 1 (53:51):
Spell? Yeah, I'm telling you.
Speaker 2 (53:52):
These buses and these teas, they're their own adventure for
the NFL Draft because it's funny. You know, it's friendly.
It's not like you guys are gonna fight each other.
But nobody's sitting down and it's it's part of the experience,
you know. All right, So again this is Steelers fans
Eagles fans on the.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Tee already yelling at each other. Oh that's all to that.
Boys up, Boys brings everybody together, burns everybody together. It's
all we needed to bring everybody together.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
One guy just goes, what's all chant that? You know
what around there's a lot of division in our state.
There's a lot of division in our country right now.
Cowboys suck brought Steelers and dus.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
You're seeing that.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
One picture of the blood, the blood and the crimp
where they they're holding up like rival bandanas and the
blue and red colors.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
We had a moment like that last night. At the
NFL Draft.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
That's that's good stuff right there, even though they jumped
us to steal the wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
All right, let's get to a talkback message.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
It's our buddy Steve here sending us a message brought
to us by the Pavement.
Speaker 1 (55:10):
Group going on. Dude, it's Steve. Hey. I gotta be honest.
Speaker 8 (55:13):
I didn't have any intention of coming down to the
city at all this weekend for the draft. It's but
after seeing everything on TV last night and listening to
you guys talked about it today, I gotta admit I
got some draft fomo going on, and damn it, I
think I'm gonna have to try to get down there
either tonight or sometime tomorrow. It just looks way too
cool to not be a part of love this time.
Speaker 1 (55:36):
Good Steelers. Yeah, it is. It's way too cool.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
It is, And I do feel like it's almost too
easy to park and get down there. You know, it's
gonna take you some time and you gotta figure it
out and everything. But we prepared enough for this and
the city is absolutely shining right now. Shapiro, whoever, the NFL,
whoever laid this all out, did a damn a damn
(56:02):
good job, Bob. You were down at the draft last night.
As you're walking out of the draft with your son Jack,
who do you encounter on the street.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
Our guy, fun guy Flows. He has his own spot
outside of PNC Park for the draft.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
It's like the perfect spot is when you exit out
the main gate of like the draft set up. Yeah,
you're coming right towards him and he's facing everybody.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
I love that this guy is in front of a
bunch of tourists and out of towners. If you don't
know who he is outside of big Pittsburgh events. He
wears a mushroom on his head and he calls himself
Fungi Flows, and he just freestyles his people walk by.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
So as Bob's walking by last night, he'd.
Speaker 15 (56:41):
Been going right about that dong they you know what
had to go with I've be go to him my
blood like he mglow with an understand for how long
he's been flowing a big Bob by here we gotta
go ninety six long blowing.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Kiss us in the zone. This official when we flow.
Speaker 15 (56:57):
It's good to see you, fan and so is up
to you and Mikey that.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
Man yum oh man, so good I love that you're
just walking by it. No way throws right in. That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (57:09):
You can check him out during the Draft outside of
PNC Park And it's another big night, another big day.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
At the Draft. The weather is going to be beautiful
once again.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
Whiz Khalifa Brett Michaels around five fifteen on the main stage,
Rounds two and three get started around seven pm. All right,
we got your chance to win one thousand dollars coming up.
Around nine ten, It's Kiss Morning Freak Show Mike and Bob.
We have a chance to pay your bills. Try to
win one thousand dollars. That is coming up next in
(57:42):
just a couple of minutes here on the Kiss Morning
Freak Show. It is Mikey and Bob sneaky favorite thing
about the Draft was seeing Hollapaenohannah randomly show up in
shots in the background of like college game day and
the Pat McAfee shure, not all the prog He's just
release Halapenohannah into the crowd.
Speaker 1 (58:02):
And that's and they knew Hannah was the best. They know,
they know, they know who they're sending in.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Also another little sneaky thing that I love too, when
a team is on the clock and about to make
the pick. The lights on the bridges, the sister bridges
like changed to that team's colors. Did you see that
little details? It's awesome. I mean, I'm telling you, man,
And I know we said like, hey.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
You know, we're not gonna get this draft back again
for like thirty years or something. I don't know, man,
Maybe they figure out their cities that are real good
at this, and their cities that you know, yeah, maybe
you're kind of nuts so good you're not lying.
Speaker 2 (58:42):
Maybe we do this so good that we get in
like you know, a rotation of NFL draft cities. Maybe
we get it, you know, in ten years or fifteen years,
I mean instead of thirty.
Speaker 1 (58:53):
I just hope the rest of the weekend goes as
smooth as yesterday because.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
They they thought a lot out and nailed it.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
I mean I took the football flyerbus on in smooth Man.
You know the parking ride lot. It said it was full,
but I just pulled in because people are getting on
and off buses, Like every fifteen minutes, people are coming
and going.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
With your mustache. Nobody's gonna tell you no anyway, he
can park wherever you want. I'm pretty sure too, dude.
Speaker 1 (59:20):
That thing hops on hov Lanes is right in the city.
Zoom zoom, right right on. Yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (59:25):
Also another thing that I loved watching was I was
watching the The Pat McAfee Show and uh, Dan Orlowski,
who is uh you know, a guy talks a lot
about football on ESPN used to be an NFL quarterback. Him
and coach Kauer are on The Pat McAfee show. And
let me tell you, I think that there is a
(59:48):
bud light helmet on Pat's desk right, and all of
a sudden, all I see are icy light mangoes everywhere.
Speaker 16 (59:56):
I'm telling you, there, you start pulling mangoes. Cower wasn't done.
Cower had a regular icy light. I don't know if
Cower goes for the mangoes. But then they're just sitting
there like pounding icy light mangoes.
Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
And then I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Looking at Pat's desk and he's like, oh yeah, and
and bud light.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
And I'm like, you blew that, you blew that bud
lights here? Tell me?
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
But then they try to cover their tracks icye light
and I see light mango. That's that's a Pittsburgh beer
bud lights.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Everywhere, but this is Pittsburgh's beer.
Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
It was a pretty funny moment just seeing Coach Cower
just you know, breaking things down with Pat and just talking,
just talking Pittsburgh and Steelers.
Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
On the Pat McAfee shore. Plenty of people drinking bls
down there last night. Bud lights last night. I'm sure
tonight's gonna be even more.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
I think I think yesterday was the let's see if
we can do this. Yeah, and let's see if we
can pull this off. Let's see what works, what doesn't work.
And I think it went pretty damn flawless. So I
think today now, the people that didn't go down there
might have had a little fomo or something, are like, all.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Right, maybe it's not that pad. Maybe we can.
Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
Do this honestly, as long as you have a little patience, yeah,
and can just go with the flow. Like it's a
lot of walking.
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
It's a lot of walking, but like it's pretty it's
pretty good. The layout's pretty good, and it's pretty smooth
to get around places.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
All right, Well, let's see how the city behaved though.
Coming up next, not only will we give you a
chance to win one thousand dollars, But we need to
check in with NFL Draft Pittsburgh Police scanner.
Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
That's next on the Kiss Morning Free Show, It's Mikey
and Bob, Chance to win one thousand dollars. Try to
pay your bills in just a couple of minutes. Here
it's Mikey, It's Bob the ninety six to one Kiss
Morning Free Show. Yeah, this lady leave us a message earlier.
Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
Why is Hermando Mendoza the number one pick? But he's
too good to come to Pittsburgh. I don't know, maybe
he shouldn't be the number one pick.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
Yeah, Indiana's quarterback Fernando Mendoza was picked number one overall
by the Las Vegas Raiders. He was not in Pittsburgh
for the draft.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
Why is Hermando Mendoza?
Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
I wish he would have gave us breakdown to Blake.
I wanted every player from that lady. But hold on,
this guy who listens this show calls himself Raider Nation
wants to respond Greater Nation check and then I'll just
want to calm man on the Hernando situation.
Speaker 6 (01:02:28):
But the reason why he wasn't there, if you don't
know the backstory is his.
Speaker 8 (01:02:31):
Mother's wheelchair bound okay, and decided to share the moment
in the memories with his mother and his family, said
a bunch of strangers.
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
So yeah, he sounds like a worthy first.
Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
Round pick the moon.
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
Let's just see what he does on the field. I
don't care what he looks like walking out on that
red carpet.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
All right, So that makes a little bit more sense
maybe why he wasn't in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
Yeah, you can respect that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
Hermando hern No, Hermando Mendoza. All right, we do this
thing on the show. We just do a segment called
the Pittsburgh Police Again. There's a couple of people who
will listen to the Pittsburgh Police Scanner because there's a
lot of things that happened in the city that involved
the police that don't make the news. Right, These are
just those little things. They also have a website, pghdash
(01:03:11):
Scanner dot com.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
And it's time to find out what is happening.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
By the way, NFL Draft edition right here, Let's see
what's happening around the NFL Draft in and around our city.
This was North Shore yesterday two seventy nine on ramp.
They got to call a large crowd a possibly lost tourists.
We're trying to look for the draft by walking up
the closed highway ramp.
Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
Oh no, they have.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
It on camera and somebody intercepted them. Somebody stopped them.
I guess this was earlier yesterday, right after our show,
when people were really starting to head down for day
one of the NFL Draft.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Toner's just wandering.
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
They were climbing up the highway ramp and then all
of a sudden somebody saw it on the cam and said, hey,
need to put a stop to this.
Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
Almost on the parkway.
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Also happening in and around our city for the draft,
North Shore Sandusky Street.
Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
One of the motors cop said he just pulled over
three golfs, three golf carts.
Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
For driving like ding bats.
Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Oh gee, bunch of ding bats. All right, the golf
carts are fine, all right. Can't be driving them like
ding bats. Don't be a golf cart jag. Okay, it's
back the rules. Out there a lot of out of towners.
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
It can't be.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
Can't be being a ding dong out there also, ding bat,
it can't be a ding dong either.
Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
I think you can be a ding dog ding dong
on wheels you can be a ding dong down. The
draft also happening in and around our city.
Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
Through the eyes of Pittsburgh Police scanner Perry North Riverview
Park callers said, two dudes stopped in the middle of
the road and they're setting up a DJ booth.
Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
Hell yeah, and the caller doesn't like it.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Oh, come on Draft week data, you trying to get
the vibes of celebrate it. Aint don't need to call
for I think DJ's are allowed to set.
Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
Up wherever they want this weekend. Right, the more DJs,
the better rule. Somebody want to, you know, bring the
good vibes to the city. Drop a beat.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
All right, we got one more here, Pittsburgh Police scanner,
NFL Draft Edition.
Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
Let's get to this.
Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
Knoxville callers said, somebody's taken a lot of stuff and
they're offering to fight anyone, and it's unknown if the
guy is draft eligible. Wow, So he got a guy
who's taking a lot of things, really wants to party
for the draft.
Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
All this stuff. He's in the draft.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
He's taken a lot of stuff and he now wants
to fight anyone. They include like players too, Ladies, he
going through the first round.
Speaker 1 (01:05:38):
You're stowing. Hey, I kid care draft muscles? Is that
what it is? Did you see any draft muscles down there?
Pretty cool, man, he's pretty cool. They must not let
that guy in. Yeah, this guy took uh.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
It seemed too much stuff though, So if you're a
person who likes to take stuff, don't take too much
stuff because then you'll be so high you'll try to
fight everybody at the NFL Draft.
Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
But again, though, not sure if he's draft eligible. I'm
gonna guess. I'm gonna guess not.
Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
You don't think he's gonna get That's what's happening in
and around our city, Dan. I love how people are
taking in the the NFL draft. Saw post here yesterday
from Noah Hailes, who covers Pittsburgh sports and the Pirates
for the Post Gazette, tweeted picture from inside Permanny's Market Square.
(01:06:30):
It sets Mayor Corey O'Connor is currently shaking hands with
people inside Permanny Brothers Pittsburgh. Dad is outside, just talking
to people waiting in line. This all just feels like
a inser fever dream. It is.
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
I'm not even.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
Playing like the explosion thing we play when there's too
much awesome Pittsburgh happening at once, because everything from the
start of the draft through the end of the draft
is just the explosion the way Pittsburgh has looked and shined.
After one day of the NFL Draft, It's Mikeybob the
ninety six one kiss morning free shouts. Get to another
talkback message brought to us by one team media.
Speaker 13 (01:07:04):
I'm making big Bob, it's bad a sour siam again.
Me and my husband went down to the draft yesterday.
Oh yeah, it was amazing. The city was awesome. Seeing
everybody's so pumped to be in the same area. People
from out of town. We're telling us, Oh, the city's
so nice and we just love it here and can't
wait to come back.
Speaker 1 (01:07:23):
Good job, Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
Yeah, you sort of have the same feeling, right, Bob.
The vibes were pretty immaculate down there.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
As soon as I got off that football Flyer bus
we walked through Market Square to get down to the point. Yeah,
it was amazing, Like.
Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
The moment I got off the dude, hold on the
actually the moment I got off the bus. Guys, right
when you're stepping off the bus, some guy walking down
the street recognized me and gave me a polling big hey,
big vibe. Yeah give me And then he starts singing
chicken nuggets in the belly button to be following me,
so he's behind me at this point. Wait, they can
put the chicken nuggets to the belly button. Baby, he's
(01:07:59):
behind you singing this team.
Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
I forgot to tell you that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Okay again, this is years and years ago, the weirdest
YouTube video me and Bob ever made.
Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
It's the most random callback that you could get down there.
Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Yes, was this random song called the Chicken Nuggets and
the belly button Nuggets. Singing this to you walking through
chicken nuggets.
Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
Put the chicken nuggets in my belly butting baby, just
stop trying. Just walking through the market Square and get
to the point. I wish everybody serenaded.
Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
I wish everybody else in Pittsburgh could feel how cool
it is to be me and you and things like
that happened where the weirdest YouTube.
Speaker 1 (01:08:43):
Video we ever made, like fifteen years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
Somebody starts singing it to Bob as soon as he
gets off the bus for the NFL Draft.
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
I know you've told me, like it was just like,
stop people off the show. Take a picture and everything
I signed. People had me signed things and I signed
a I mean, we've signed things before, but I signed
a T. J.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Watt card out of nowhere. James Connor jersey too, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Dude showed up with a James Connor jersey. I was
standing there with the market. He's like, you sign my jersey.
I'm like, sure, man, what do you do with a
Big Bob signed to James Connor. It's one to one.
Put it down in the cave.
Speaker 1 (01:09:22):
That's what we do. We framed it. We put it
in a cave.
Speaker 13 (01:09:24):
We do.
Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Met Guermo too. He listens every morning, Germo. Germo. He came, uh,
he came up to me.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
He was had to toe in Vikings gear right, and
I'm like, all right, is this guy gonna ask me?
Because I was kind of standing back at that point too,
I'm like, is he gonna ask me, like where something
is in the city or he just talked to the city.
I didn't expect you from Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
I don't know why. I had to tell purpled out. Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
He came up to me and he's just like, man,
Big Bob. He's like, I love your guys. Show I
listened to you and Mikey every morning. I moved from
Mexico to Pittsburgh, and you guys get me through my
mornings here and I'm just I'm like, you're Vikings fan.
Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
He's gap Bog has been a huge Vikings fan.
Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
Man, weird right, awesome. I met a lot of good people. Yes,
from Mexico here Vikings fan. Yeah, I'm telling the vibes
were good, man, the vibes were good. It's crazy that
it's the biggest NFL draft, you know, one day ever,
three hundred twenty five thousand people, and I'm not sure
(01:10:22):
that there's gonna be less people tonight, Like we might.
Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
Beat Thursday's record. Yeah, I think so with Friday's crowd.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
Uh excuse me, I get excited. I burp, Uh excuse See.
I told you Ron's two and three tonight of the
NFL Draft. Pittsburgh shined yesterday for night one h three
hundred and twenty five thousand people in new NFL Draft record.
And really, Bob, you were just talking to me about
about this off the air. It's just like Pittsburgh showed
(01:10:53):
we could host a massive event.
Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
Yeah, that's like one of the coolest things about this
it's like, you know what, I'm mad about doing it.
How can I take.
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
A bus from like McCanless all the time to get
downtown right right?
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Why is there a football flyer all.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
The time during like a Steeler game to come get
me up north and bring me downtown? Like we can
do public transportation in this city, I think better than
we've been doing it. And this event shows us that, Yeah,
people come downtown if you got a big event going on.
Speaker 3 (01:11:23):
Being able to pull this off pretty smooth too, It's
it's great for the city.
Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
Let's get to a talk back messageer brought to us
by the Pavement Group.
Speaker 10 (01:11:30):
Good morning, Mikey, big Bob. You guys were talking about
Halloween Hannah being excited at a draft yesterday everywhere I
saw Suerakrautsal everywhere, and he became in a concert, you know,
rocking out with the rest of us m and then
again down on the field. So the Barochis were full
of back yesterday all over the draft. Yeah, that's just
(01:11:52):
a matter of which one you saw. So have a
great day, guys, can make it down there again this weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
Wow, that's that's I love that the pirates are just like, hey,
you know it's the NFL's thing, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
A Steelers thing, but let's just unleash the Parochis. If
you're the Pirates, that's all you need to do. Great.
Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Had been a special moment right there. So obviously we
got the draft continuing this weekend. UH Whiskalifa and Brett
Michaels tonight down at the stage.
Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
UH.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
Saturday is rounds four through seven. That's when picks start
flying real quick. That's when they're not even announcing the
picks and they're picking people during commercial breaks.
Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
And stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
So and then obviously another big thing Saturday. Penguin's at
Philly for Game four, hoping to avoid the sweep because
I know if the Penguins lose on Saturday, this is
gonna be on me. And I'm not even gonna try
to deny it. If the Penguins lose on Saturday this season,
this playoffs.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
I will take it. This is my fault.
Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
Yeah, I was a little disappointed yesterday I did not
make it down to the draft. I don't know if
I'm gonna make it down this week weekend. I was
in my car with my daughter Addison on the way
down to the draft and I just I just couldn't
do it. I'm going through a lot in my life personally,
Bob that you know, with just I mean, I've been
(01:13:14):
going through stuff for years that I haven't talked about
on the air or anything like that. But you know,
we talk a lot about mental health nowadays, just with
with everything and make sure everybody's okay and everything like that.
And I just knew I wasn't okay yesterday and I
didn't need to be thrown into a giant crowd like that.
And then you know, I got a lot of anxiety
(01:13:35):
issues and things like that. And then, like the thing
that really sucks is like we got horrible news here
at the station this week, like me and Bob, like
something that was very negative towards us, and it just.
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
It just threw me into a bad place. And it
really sucks because.
Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
I mean, Bob, you know, I wanted to be down
there yesterday and I want to go down there and
check it out and everything like that, but also I
know I need to take care of myself. And what
happened to us at the station this week, it just
sucks so much because people don't care. They just don't
care what happens when you do things to people you know, and.
Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
We're not talking about you. Guys are listening, not at all.
Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
No frustrations with things that are happening here.
Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
It just it just really sucks. Things we thought that
were worked out and that we're promised, just really, you know,
it's put both of us in a pretty crappy mental
place from that, on top of a little anxiety and
whatever else. I know this is a dumb way to
end the NFL Draft show, but I'm just.
Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
Letting everybody know I had a really crappy week and it's, uh,
it's not really better yet, and so I think I'm missing.
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
All of the uh the draft. But I also wanted
to bring that up sort of at the end of
the show, because if you're listening and you are going
through stuff and you do have that draft fomo, but
you know you're not okay, and you know you might
little like freak out a little bit with crowds like
that and people and all that stuff. I'm here to
tell you that I should be down there. I want
(01:15:12):
to meet people, I want to see all the spectacle.
Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
And I'm not because I'm not okay. And it's okay
if if you're that way too. If you're not, though, Man,
get down there and enjoy it because it's once a
half time, and it's half a time the awesome. Yeah,
but represent the city and love every second of it.
All right, what do you want to name the podcast today?
Bob Renegade yelled, Draft Night? Maybe one of my favorite
(01:15:38):
parts of the draft. Last night, Renegade's playing Steelers are picking,
and we just hear.
Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
There's a guy in a Hindze Warre Jersey Front Road
and just goes, I just couldn't handle it, man, all right,
that's it for us.
Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
Seriously, I am already excited to come back and do
Money's show.
Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
We're gonna have pets and draft.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Man, I mean, can you imagine what like a couple
of days of the Pittsburgh Police Scanner with a couple
hundred thousand people in town's gonna be Are you kidding me?
We might be able to do a whole Pittsburgh Police
Scanner show on Man. There's gonna be more Steelers Facebook
comments on Monday too. There's gonna be Penguins Facebook. All right,
I'm already excited about Monday. But that's it for our show.
