Speaker 1 (00:00):

Speaker 2 (00:03):
He starts now on ninety six point nine The Cat.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Good morning, Cat Country. Hopefully you had a great weekend.
I got up this morning. It was roughly it was
probably about four o'clock, but there was a little bit
of chill in the air, and that has not been
the case over the last few weeks. So what got
me thinking we are creeping in it might be here
fall is touching tables on us. I mean, Panthers football
(00:28):
is back this weekend. High school football kicked off Friday night.
We're gonna get into that a little bit later. One
of my buddy sons, plays running back and safety, had
a massive night. I was getting real tom text from
my buddy, got another touchdown. I think he finished with
like two hundred yards rushing, three touchdowns and a pick.
High school football is back. Shout out to my boy
Koy Greer out there and the Watauga High School Pioneers.
(00:50):
And it's Monday. We got a brand new.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Week in front of us.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
George Bird's tickets coming up seven thirty with Cat Fight,
and honestly, it's one of like seventeen things we're giving away.
So let's turn this bad way up, listen and enjoy
to some great country music and kick off the week together.
It's ninety six point nine the Cat Graham in the
Mornings and R ninety six point nine the Cat hear you.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
It's time to sound off can country with Graham in
the Mornings.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Concert singalongs? Is it okay at a concert we'll say
to sing loudly along with the artist when there's other
paying customers around you that are there to hear the artist.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
I'm against it to a certain level. I'll tell this
quick story. A couple of years ago, is the top
ball for Morgan walland three girls behind me.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
They were having a great time, maybe a few in
and they.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Were screaming every single lyric at the top of their lungs,
like nails on a chalkboard. I didn't turn around and
say anything. I just had to sit there and take it.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I was miserable that, Yeah, I'm torn because one I
have done this before. I went to a Chris Tampton
show a couple of years ago and I sang along
with all of it. Now, granted I wasn't screaming, but
it registered to me later that oh, wait a minute,
like I hope I'm not infringing on someone else's experience
because at the show the other night at Luke Bryan,
(02:07):
I was around someone that was screaming and I couldn't
really hear Luke Bryan at times. So it just got
me to think in like, what's the etiquette. Like I said, Okay,
maybe you just do it one or two songs.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I think it's okay to sing along, but try to
control yourself a little bit. You don't have to be
freaking out, like just sing along, have a good time.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Maybe keep the screaming to a middle hoone.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, and now in their defense, decent singer. Yeah, but
it's not Luke Bryan.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah, it's not Luke Bryan. I want to hear Luke.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
That's why we're there.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Sound off concert sing along acceptable not acceptable? One eight

Mornings on ninety six point nine. The cat traffic is
gonna look a little different this week around Charlotte. So
Charlotte Mecklenburg schools are back in session and so expect
more cars and the drop off lanes more cool zones
being active, school buses back on the roads, and as
a reminder, North Carolina school bus laws are no joke,
so when those red lights start flashing, make sure you
(03:09):
know you are required to stop. Those tickets not cheap.
And speaking of traffic, the I seventy seven toll lane
debate in't going anywhere anytime soon. State and local leaders
are still working through decisions that could impact the future
of those toll lanes, with key deadlines coming up this fall.
And finally, NASCAR heads into Daytona, one race left before
the playoffs. Ryan Blaney picks up the win Sunday at
(03:31):
New Hampshire while Danny Hamlin continues to lead in the standings.
Daytona now becomes the last chance for drivers in the
playoff bubble to race their way into the championship field
and make the chase. Hashtag NASCAR Playoffs, Let's go. That's
your top three On ninety six point nine the cat
George Burge tickets coming up. Seven thirty cat Fight, It's

Speaker 3 (03:51):
It's time for cat.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Fights with Graham in the mornings. David out of Indian
Trail versus Caitlin out of Statesville. Welcome to the show.
We got George Burge passes on the line. Good morning,
good morning. All right, So fall is here, high school
football is kicked off. There's pumpkin spices everywhere. I think
we can all agree that we're transitioning into fall.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah, it's about time we laid in.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
So all of our questions revolve around things that are
going to occur or do occur in the fall. Okay, yeah,
let's go. You might wear this lightweight layer when morning's
get a little chilly, David, I believe Caitlyn said, ywtter
weather is acceptable. We were also looking for flannel. The
end of that question was one of these answers rhymes
(04:35):
with the word channel. Oh yeah, yeah, all right, Caitlyn
on the board. You need to to win. You can
find your way through one of these at a potential
haunted trader. That was David. I believe it was corn
Corn mas Is. We would have accepted a slew of
other answers, but Corn Maigs was number one.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I love those too, I'm so I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Lots on the line here, George Burgs I next next question,
it wins. You rate these into giant piles. David, David,
please leaves is correct? David with the comeback, David's going
to George Placee Caitlin, we love you. We're gonna get
you into something else, we promised. Producer Hunters got like
seventeen tickets in the back pocket for things coming up. Awesome.
(05:19):
Graham in the Mornings rolls right on along. Now it
is Monday. We are going to be recapping. We had
a wonderful time at the Luke Bryan show over the weekend.
Saturday Night was great. No one has more fun at
a Luke Brian's show than Luke Bryan. But I was
sitting next to some fans Saturday night that we're challenging
that theory singing every word to every song. But what's
the etiquette when it comes to sing alongs? Is there
(05:40):
an acceptable decibel level that you should be singing at
or not singing at? Give us a call way in
sound off one eight hundred five to seven zero nine
six nine zero it's Graham in the Mornings ninety six
point nine the cat. Can you drop a raw egg
on a cement floor without cracking it? Can you drop
a raw egg on a cement floor? With out cracking it.
It's Producer Hunter's riddle challenge. If you challenge Producer Hunter
(06:04):
be the iHeartRadio lot, keep your phone on you. He's
given away rising stars. Passes your answer coming up in
three songs.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
On Graham in the Mornings, we really make you think.
It's Producer Hunter's riddle challenge. On ninety six point nine, the.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Cat Cynthia out as Shelby, It's Producer Hunter's riddle challenge.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Can you drop a raw egg on a cement floor
without cracking it?
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Mmm?
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Mmm, Cynthia, we got tickets on the line. You are
giving away rising stars? Am I correct?
Speaker 3 (06:37):
That's exactly right, Cynthia.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
If you best meet today, you get to go to
our Rising Stars show for free. But if I best you,
I get to keep those tickets and go myself.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Can you drop a raw egg on a cement floor
without cracking it? No?
Speaker 4 (06:51):
I mean technically you can if you're like an inch
above the cement floor.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Right, So both of y'all are wrong. Does that mean
Cynthia gets the tickets?
Speaker 3 (06:59):
I think we just both used up our one guest
for today. How about that?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
So the answer is yeah, an egg is definitely not
going to crack a cement floor. You can definitely drop
an egg on a cement floor without cracking it. Yeah, yeah,
the cement floors was it was what we're asking if
it can crack, not the egg. Oh yeah, doesn't get it,
Cynthia does.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
She wins.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Can you drop an egg on a cement floor without
cracking it? The twist is, yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
We're talking about the cement floor instead of the egg. Yeah,
that makes sense. That's a good one.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Producer Hunter's rental challenge Cynthia out of Shelby. You're going
to rising stars. Ah, thank you, I'm good. Just how
much fun can Gram fit into your mornings? We're just
going to trust his judgment.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Go, we're black thereof ninety six point nine, The Cat
sign for.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Some good news with Graham in the Mornings. On ninety
six point nine, the Cat little good news to start
your Monday. Over the weekend, Charlotte Mecklenburg police and community
volunteers teamed up for a back to school effort that's
making sure local kids start the year out on the
right foot. Love that families received backpacks, school supplies, support
(08:07):
ahead of the first day of class, with the golf
helping hundreds, and we mean hundreds of students walking to
the school ready to learn. It's a nice reminder that
when Charlotte comes together, we can take care of our own.
And that's some good news. On ninety six point now
on the Cat, coming up Luke Collins, Dylan Scott and
more chances to pick up co Wetzel passes, which is
also good news. Anytime you hear co Wessel, open up
(08:28):
the iHeartRadio app, tap that red microphone icon in the
upper right hand corner, give us your name where you
listening from, and that you want to pick up those tickets.
On ninety six point now on the Cat.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
Hey, guys, I think there's a big difference between singing
at a concert and scream singing.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
It is terrible.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
Please do not put people around you through that.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Okay, I understand you're having.
Speaker 5 (08:48):
An awesome time, but no one wants to hear you
scream to Luke Bryan or anybody else. I took my
husband to a Megan Maroney show. Yes, I know that
is probably a little weird, but we were still rabbit
by girls who we're scream singing into their snapchat all night,
not even watching the show, just singing to themselves.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
I am in agreement. No scream singing. When it comes
to sing alongs out of concert.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
There's a vast difference between just singing and scream singing.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
I completely agree as well.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
We also got a ton of funny responses via the
Instagram posts.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
One of them said sing louder and worser. Yeah. I
don't know if going spit route is the best route,
but yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
No scream singing. Yeah, no scream singing.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Coming up in just a few minutes. Speaking of live
shows and live music, we've got a chance to pick
up one thousand dollars some plane tickets and entry into
one of the coolest music festivals in the entire country.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
But please, no scream singing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Especially to Kin Eachesney and Landy Wilson.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Your first chance of many coming up at nine o'clock.

Ryan Blaney grabbed the win yesterday at New Hampshire, holding
off Bubba Wallace for the victory as the NASCAR Cup
Series heads into its final regular season race weekend, so
the chase right around the corner. It was a big
day for Blaney and Tim Penske, while the points leader
Denny Hamlin still holds the top spot overall despite some
pit road issues during the race yesterday. I don't know
what was going on there. So as for the chase,
(10:22):
We're down to just one race remaining before the NASCAR
playoffs begin, and that means all eyes are going to
be on Daytona this weekend. So right now, Shane vn
Ginzenberg sits in the sixteenth and final playoff spot, but
she got Hamblin, Blaney, Ty Gibbs, Reddick, Chase Elliott, Kyle
Larson all safely locked into the postseason as all eyes
are turning towards Daytona this weekend. It's ninety six point
