The 2024 election is likely decided by a handful of states. Since 1996, Georgia has gone red in America’s presidential elections, but that changed in 2020 when President Biden narrowly won the state by 0.2 percent of the vote. Now in the 2024 race, most pundits consider Georgia to be a crucial swing state. With a little over a month until the election, seven states have become the campaign’s primary battlegrounds. Two months ago, a software bug in a system update from the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike caused issues around the nation. It resulted in the grounding of thousands of flights, emergency services outages and internet blackouts.
