when he saw two children about to walk onto the street,

fighter of the podium. And then that's the worst part.

They've decided that since everybody's upset about this, but we'll
make it all fair, and we'll let the second place
the first place girl the second place finisher and on
the first place podium with the boy, and they both
get gold medals. This is where that we don't keep score.

Everybody gets a trophy from twenty years ago has led
us today.

But by letting the girls stand on the first place
podium with the boy even though the boy technically won,
aren't they basically admitting without really saying it out loud,
that one of these things is not like the other
and it's not fair.

They're admitting that it's not fair, but they're gonna keep
doing it anyway because they like to cheat.

And the girls all look pissed, especially the one who's
on the podium.

go all the way to fifth place, which means they've
got six people up there for five places. The world
don't work that way, either people, you go top three
or you're out. They're setting these kids up for just

in the high jump, the long jump, and the triple
jump at the California Interscholastic Federation finals on Saturday. So
this wasn't just some event. This was an important event.

They had like two thousand people in the stands and
apparently a lot of them. We're not happy about a
boy coming in there and running past all the girls.

Also kind of interesting here, white girl, white girl, white girl,
hispanic boy. It's just an interesting techonomy, and it's odd
how that turned out.

Now, if he was beaten three or four black girls
at these track events, then it would be an issue.

These days, it is a little exciting to see a

they move into the super Regionals.

Now. They got to do the super Regionals this weekend
so they can get on into the World Series after that.
And I will tell you one of the great stories
has nothing to do with Oklahoma Sooners. Even though of
course they did move on. They had no real problems.
The biggest comeback in Division one softball playoff history of

all time chard Ole Miss, Okay and Texas Tech. You
know they only play seven innings. Seventh is the it's
the ninth inning. Shuts the seventh, which is probably for
the best nine innings. It's just too much, yeah, Ole Miss,
and sometimes they only play five if they get them
run ruled. Ole Miss is ahead going into the bottom

of the seventh eight to nothing.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Wow, I mean, this is that's a done deal. Sure,
Texas Tech comes.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Up to bat, Oh, out number one, out number two.
It's just you know, this game is over. Two strikes
on the third out, it's crab up up, crabstick up there.
They're starting to hit the ball. Texas Tech starting to
hit the ball. They're starting to score.

It was tied at the bottom of the seventh eight
to eight. Wow, they weren't done. They move on to
the eighth inning extra and then Ole Miss gets a run.
Now it's nine to eight. Okay, what Texas Tech gets
to come up again. Bottom of the eighth scored two.
Final score ten to nine. They were that close to

the game being over, and all of a sudden it wasn't.
Texas Tech now thinks they can't lose. They think this
is ordained by the Lord, my God, you know, watching
the game from up in this throne in heaven, and
I think the Red Raiders just they believe this is
their year.

Well, you know what we always say in women's softball,
any given Sunday.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
But usually Friday or Saturday. I thought they played yesterday.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Oh you will play Mississippi State, not Old Mississippi State
starting Friday. That's just part of the Super Regionals. Most
a lot of the teams that are in the Superregionals
come from the Walton Johnson area, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas.

You know the Horns, they're sec A and M. Didn't
make it A and M they got that close, but
they didn't. They didn't get out of the regionals. So
that's how that worked out. It's the the SEC competitions,
all idiot.

A fun night at the ballparked tending to a scary
scene after a woman was hit in the head by
a ball. Jamie Galla I sat in the stands a
T Mobile park at Seattle, filming herself and her friends
while watching the Mariners take on the San Diego Padres.

and hit her. Maybe somebody two or three rose up
was just tired of them taking selfies not watching the game.

Well, there was a.

Bigger tragedy involving baseball. Former Dodgers pitcher Scott Ericsson admitted
in court that he sped up his car his vehicle
when he saw two children about to walk onto the street,
just before the boys were run down and killed.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
He admitted that he sped up to hit him.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
He said he stepped down the gas for probably two
or three seconds to get through. He thought that was
the safest process. It sounds like he didn't think the
little boys, the eleven and eight year old, were going
to walk into the street. The two children were run
down and killed when they walked out onto a crosswalk.

Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Yeah.

Their mother and younger brother were with them at the time,
but in seconds, two racing cars were upon them, one
of which struck the two boys and killed them.

They were racing.

Witnesses have said that Erickson was driving his SUV and
sped through the intersection first and did not hit the
members of the family. His girlfriend at the time, Rebecca,
was a split second behind, but she did not clear
the intersection in time to miss the boys.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
So that's what happened.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
She was driving the car that hit them. Why is
he the subject of the story.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Police claimed that Gosman was driving seventy three miles per
hour in a forty five mile per hour zone when
she sped up through the intersection. Eric's had testified that
he continued on to Grosman's home before receiving a phone
call from the woman before reporting the accident.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
That's all over the place now, there's a lot of
details myth. It's barely even qualifies as sports. If she
killed him, that's what I'm thinking. Yeah, what does she
do for a living Instagram model? I guess they just
mentioned him because he was the only one that was
famous or I never heard of him, but maybe somebody did.

And speaking of disappointing sporting nude the WNBA this weekend,
what they do, well.

To call Angel Reese's home debut with the Atlanta Dream underwhelming.

during a pre She's an interview found herself benched at
the end of her team's game against the Las Vegas
Aces on Sunday out. She was so good that they
decided to play without her to make it a little
more even for the opponents.

I don't know if that's going to work or not either. Yeah,
