Speaker 1 (00:00):
Frankie v Gina's on vacation.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Angie with us in the studio and before we explain
about this a really cool thing happening in San Diego,
we can get a whole lot of candy. I do
want to give Angie credit because with Gina off and
I was the naysayer in regards to something that you
and Gina decided to do this summer really were well,
we're semi failures when we've tried to do this with
other seasons. Just remind you we tried to have a

(00:21):
little crew for the holidays and a crew for Halloween,
and Gina Andrew would go out and we're gonna review
all the coolest things y'all did, like one per holiday.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yeah, well, here's the thing. We came up with the
idea we wanted to do and highlight things in and
around San Diego for.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You guys to go to.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
And yes, I will say we did fail in the beginning,
but we were getting better.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
You were getting better now even though Gina off Angie
comes to you with it's a summer.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
By crew with another review for you.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
So yeah, so you went out and about last night
without Gina. You texted me you're at Bar Busa with
your boyfriend Big d and maybe you guys headed where After.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
That we went to candy Land Care.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Now, this is so cute.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Candyland was like one of my favorite board games growing up,
and when I saw that this was coming to San Diego,
I was like, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
What, I need to go check that out.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
So it's located in the Bayside kitchen and bar at
twenty one thirty seven Pacific Highway, so it's right on
the edge of Little Italy and downtown. I would suggest
probably ubering if you can, unless you have a lot
of patients and want to circle around for parking.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
So that's kind of like the hotel where you're coming
down right by the water front and yeah, you sick
on the right hand side as you head right towards
the airport.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Basically, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
It's twenty five dollars and kids under two you don't
need a ticket. Your ticket includes a ten dollars food
credit and five dollars merch credit. It's a ninety minute
experience and when you go into the Candyland Cafe, I
feel like you're transformed into the board game. So their
food is based off of the board game itself. Think
of like granming up brownies, keen candy ice cream flight.

(01:57):
They have like a whole candy wall. You can fill
a bag with candy. They have regular food too, like burgers, pasta,
things like that.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
One of my favorite things was.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
The castle outside and it has I don't know, have
you ever played candy candy lamp.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Back as a kid. I haven't played in years though.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
So it has the colorful squares. Usually you have to
you know, pick a card to go towards the square
or whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
But as the squares and.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
It leads you to the big castle.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
They have the mudpit.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I mean it's really fun. I will say, if I
had to give it because we're raiding it by sons. Yeah,
my sons, I will say, I'll give his six sons six.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Out of ten.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
That's not the highest of a rating. We've had some ten,
some nines. What's making a six out of ten?

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Okay, So this one I don't have kids, and it
is very very kid friendly. So if you're an adult
and you're looking for somewhere for the girls or date night,
this is probably not the place. But for kids, I
will say the kids you get ten sons because there's
so many photo ops. I mean it's just so kid friendly.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
So yeah, my daughter's almost one year old, I take it.
She would like it. Again. It's called the.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Candyland Cafe, so colorful too, she would love it.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
And it's at what hotel again? What's it called? Bayside
Kitchen and Bar.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Right there, and it's on the right head side you're
going down, all right, So it gets six out of
ten sons, Angie, it's a.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Summer my crew with another review.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
For you coming through even with Gina Latina on vacation.
Thank you for the review.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I got you, guys,
