Waymo SNITCHED on these kids!

A group of underage kids got caught drinking alcohol in an autonomously driven vehicle. This now has sparked a huge debate over privacy.

Before we get to that story about a special San
Diego and I gotta tell you about this. I'll know
what the the Riode Weimo is, right, it's that Google
self driving driverless taxi service. I love them, so a
lot of people say they love them. They have them
in La, I think San Francisco. They are coming to
San Diego soon. They said, there's a few hero already.
I've seen them yet. So yeah, they're doing little test

rides here in San Diego. So check this out. These kids,
the teenagers, got into a Weimo up in La and
it took an unexpected turn when two of the fifteen
year olds decided opened up by a can of beer.
Oh in the backseat of the Weimo. Now there's no
driver in the Weymo, so like you know, we can
get away with this. We snuck some bear in here.
We're good. No, not so much. The Weamo notice the

beer opening up somehow and pulled the car over into
a parking lot and contacted the San Mateo police. They
locked the doors, the the Waimo locked the doors, kept
the kids in the car until the police showed up
and detained the teens after they arrived. Please say the
riders were able to go on the vehicle if they
were to have tried to unlock, but for some reason

they didn't, So Wabo locks the doors. They can't legally
keep them in there, but the kids standing in the
incident has sparked suppress debates about privacy surveillance, how these
kind of vehicles should respond and private passitors break the
rules because I mean, it's not legal to keep somebody
hostage unlock the doors, and these kids freaked out so
they didn't unlock it. And literally Weymo called the police
on these kids who came to you know, detain them

for drinking alcohol at fifteen years not Waymo being a snitch.
But also, I mean, look, there's no driver in the car,
there's bound to be cameras. Yes, that's true. The way
pretty funny, whym We'll coming to San Diego as soon
there's a few cars up there. Now, speaking San Diego,
we got to talk about this. Uh, the All Star
Game is coming up for Major League Baseball Midsummer Classic.
Unfortunately San Diego doesn't have a whole lot of players going. Uh.

Closer Mason Miller will represent the team on the field,
but another member of the organization will be playing a
major role behind the scenes at the All Star Game
this year, which is really cool. Padre's Ball crew member,
her name is Genevieve Ortega Alvez, has been selected as
a nationally Ball Crew leader for the twenty twenty six
Major League All Star Game, making her one of the
people responsible for making sure the Lstar Game runs correctly.

It's one of the biggest nights for baseball, so many
eyes on it, and she's gonna runny things now. Ortega
Alves has been part of the Padres game day operations,
helping make sure every pitch, play, and moment happens to
not a hitch and the Auto actually puts a spotlight
on the behind the scenes professionals who are essential to
the game, but they don't get that recognition. We're watching
the games that things are going greater behind the scenes.
