Speaker 1 (00:00):
Key one hundred with Dave and Gin Buddy you. I
worked the Huntington Mall Black Friday event. So the Huntingdon
Mall opened at six a m. This past Friday. And
what time were you there? I was six am. Well,
because I'm not shopping, you know, I'm just there to

(00:20):
be like, hey, let's play some music and have been fun.
Dot chab so. But I mean the line was huge, okay.
So they told me that people the earliest person that
had been waiting in line, the very first person got
there at seven thirty Thursday night, shut up seven thirty people.
Oh my goodness, what were they there for? Did you
find out? Oh? I did not find out because it

(00:41):
was the mall that talked to him. But I don't know.
And maybe it was the swag bags because the first
three hundred people in line got swag bags. Okay, nice
and one of those swag bags had a five hundred
dollars Huntingdon Mall gift card in it. Okay. So but yeah,
it was like I mean, like pre pandemic Black Friday
is what it felt like. It was busy and crazy.

(01:04):
People came from every direction and by the time I
was there from six to nine on Friday morning. By
the time I was leaving at nine still, I thought, well,
maybe it'll die down. No, it did not die down
Well Street, Yes, people were going nuts. Man. I actually
even met a woman named Sabrina and she's from Wayne County.
She said that she listens every morning at eight thirty
to the part of Camp beat Gin that I do.

(01:26):
She's like, you know, I usually don't hear the first part,
but I hear your handlers, thank you. But man, it
was absolutely insane, so funny story. Amanda the elf that
was working on the Huntington mall as well. She said
that her son and a couple of his friends were
actually waiting in the Black Friday Line all night long.

(01:48):
They got there at eleven pm on Thursday night and
waited until six am when the door's opened on you know,
Friday morning. Oh my goodness. But they brought a fire
pit that's not allowed with them. They were even on
WSAZ interviewed about it, because yeah, they did bring a
fire pit with it. But by the way, though it

(02:10):
was freezing, you gotta keep somehow them. But yeah, So
when I was actually driving to the mall around five
point thirty, right, I was like this is crazy. I
just saw the fire truck leaving the mall. What was
that about. Crazy. Maybe they're just there to secure the area,
I don't know, But then I find out why they
were there. They had to go there and be like guys, firefit.

(02:30):
You can't have firefights, you can not have an open fire.
But they had it from like eleven PM to five am,
so they were good.
