Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bieber, Justin Bieber, Justin Bieber, Justin Daisy's Key one hundred
with Dave and Jin. So. I watched a new documentary oka.
It is called Murder in Monaco. Okay, it is. It
came out in December, but it follows the murder of

(00:24):
Edmund Saffra, who is a well, was a billionaire banker
and philanthropist. It says of Syrian descent. His family actually
had a long tradition of banking in Brazil and Switzerland,
and so he was a very large banker for very
very very rich people. Okay, and if you watch the trailer,

(00:47):
it's nuts, it's it's crazy to see. So it's on
Netflix right now, and it's a very suspicious situation how
he died. He was basically living in an impenetrable fortress
and somehow people got in and burned it. Oh wow, allegedly,
but they raised So it's kind of an unsolved murder.

(01:09):
They really have no idea who technically did it. My goodness,
But in this documentary they go through like and interview
everybody with this scene, right, because this happened. He didn't
die until nineteen ninety nine, so this happened years ago.
And now they're reinterviewing these people to find out what
really went down. Who do you think? Who do you think? Well,
his wife, uh huh never talks to the you know,

(01:34):
documentary people, so she declined to do this. But but
I will tell you this, his wife likes to sue
anyone and everyone who does talk about this situation. Oh
my god. At least that's what they say in the documentary.
You know, they say, you know, we tried to reach
out to this person and they were shut down. We
tried to reach out this person. They've been shut down,
and we were told Lily Saffra is the one who

(01:55):
does not want us to do anything with it. Blah
blah blah. Now she has since passed away, but they
had been working on this documentary for years. But I mean,
even Bette Midler is in this documentary because she her
banker was mister Saffra. Oh wow, So that's how far
this guy reaches. But Monaco, by the way, is an
extremely safe place, and as a matter of fact, a

(02:17):
lot of rich people stay there because a lot of times,
if you're a resident of Monaco, your earnings are tax
freeze holyly exactly. So it's almost like a billionaire's paradise
over there exactly. And then there was this murder which
never happens because it's so safe because they know the
clientele that they bring into their country. So it's a

(02:38):
very crazy story. You I suspected somebody. I'm like, okay, yeah,
totally know who did it. And then we get like
a little bit more through it. I'm like, oh, did
they do it? And then we get a little bit
more through I'm like, no, they did, and then the
end you're like what I mean? It just it will
absolutely blow your mind. It's a crazy story. It's an
hour and a half, so it's like a full it's

(03:00):
kind of like a movie documentary. So it's not a
series or anything, but it is Murder in Monaco on Netflix.
Very interesting stuff. Want to check that out.
