The Turkey Wishbone 12/01/25

Dave talks about getting his kids to make a wish with the wishbone.

Key one hundred with Dave and Jin. We had an
awesome Thanksgiving. We have for years cooked at our house,
so we cook. But then also after in the evening
we went to my parents and visited them for a while. Yeah,
we had Tracy's mom and brother over at our house, okay,

(00:23):
you know for Thanksgiving dinner, and then also Tyler's girlfriend
Cassie and Sarah's boyfriend Tristan.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
So we had a lot of people over. And I
love to cook the turkey. It's my favorite. Look at
you I do.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I like to, you know, get all the crap out
of the inside.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
I have never cooked a turkey in my life, and
I learned, have you not ever? Never even tried attempted?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
No.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I learned the very first year that you have to
clean out both the top part of the inside and
also the bottom part of the inside.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Otherwise you cook the turkey with a little a little
something extra in there.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
The first year found that out, I was like, oh, hey,
I don't think that's supposed to be in there.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Oh I think this is why I didn't do it.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Probably, And this year I also seasoned a little extra season.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It had some injections and that was fun. You injected, Yes, Ji,
it was a.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Game changer too, the flavor and the tender and juiciness
and oh man, oh it was.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
It was awesome. Here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Afterwards, I, after I had carved the turkey and everything,
everybody was done eating, I found the wishbone and I
get it out and I take it in.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I'm gonna let the kids have a little fun with it. Yeah,
So I.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
First take it to Tyler and Cassie because they were
the first couple I ran into and I said, hey,
you guys want to you want to make a wish
and you know, break the wishbone. Cassie looks at me like,
don't get that thing near me. Was like, yeah, let's
just do it. So I take the wishbone into sarah

(02:00):
is a room, and Sarah and Tristan they said, yeah,
we'll give it a shot. I said, you both make
a wish, one holds one side, one holds the other,
and you break it. Whoever gets the biggest piece that
wish will come true, right right.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
That's that's what they say.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
That's what they say.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
So first of all, it took them several seconds. We'll
be able to break that wish man.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
That thing is slippery, slippery, And I'm glad you mentioned
that because as it was slippery, Sarah's hands slid off
and Turkey flipped up on her cheeks. Yeah, she's like, face,
lick it off.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You're fine, exactly Turkey something something.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Anyway, I guess Sarah one, and she would not tell
us what the wish was.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
So well, you can't because then it won't come true.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I guess, I get. I mean, is there a time
limit on it?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
You just explained the rules of the wish side, but
you don't realize that you can't reveal the wish until
it happens. I mean, like, that's what I wished for, yeap,
that was what happened.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Yeah, we gotta do man.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
I have not fooled apart a wishbone in so many years.
I remember doing it all the time as a kid.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, exactly, fun.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
We got to do that.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I should have Leo and Pressley do that. Yes, I'll tell.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Mom and Dad next year, because I'm cooking that turkey.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I can tell you.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
