Speaker 5 (01:46):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Oh, I don't know. He might be better in the air. Okay,
But Orlando is bringing flying cars to the region. The
Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is looking for partners to develop
and operate a flying car landing pad called the Verdict
Port at the airport. So they would like to complete
this project as soon as possible. They want to set

(02:08):
up Orlando for cutting edge success with small electric aircraft
that take off and land vertically. So you just like
the like the stealth Bomber. I think that says that
they just lift off and then go like they show
alien ships in the sky.

Justin Timberlake is making changes in order to win back
fans after canceling his world tour dates. Allegedly, Justin believes
he needs to switch his focus from solo artists to
reunite with in Sync. He wants to keep his career
alive and repair as Golden boy image. Following me his
DWI in Sag Harbor in twenty twenty four, that arresting
officer became Officer of the Year. He has the biggest

(03:32):
number of summons and arrests in the area and he
won a big prize for that and all the attention
from Justin Timberlake. Anyway, I Justin understands why people are
upset for, you know, canceling those shows. The sudden death
of Michelle Trachtenberg is this week's cover story dus Weekly.
Multiple sources repeat the same story that she became reclusive

(03:55):
with mounting health issues. She required a liver transplant A
longtime Fred said said that she did drink but not
excessively in public, so she was never the type to
party hard. In the end, she was more of a recluse.
She had been in the hospital for a prolonged period
of time, but she'd been also working on multiple movie scripts.

(04:15):
She was shopping at completed script based on the book
Toy Monster The Big Bad World of Mattel. So, the
film's producer told TMZ, a Hollywood studio was about to
acquire that script about the brutal toy business. So I
don't know if that will still come to light or not.
All right, we're gonna play this clip once and then
put it to bed. Travis Kelcey, why are you what's

(04:39):
wrong with for like three months? Will he come back?
I just dragged it, just drag and drag and.

Drag, And he knew the answer the whole time.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I know, brother, I just you know, I want to
give it a good run.

Speaker 8 (04:55):
I got a bad taste in my mouth on how
I ended the year and how well I was playing,
and you know how accountable I was for the people
around me.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Oh, we know, what is the sun?

Speaker 1 (05:05):

right now?

Speaker 1 (07:03):

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Okay, Darlene, No way.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
No, no, absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
My husband's still sleeping.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Oh okay, all right, let's assume the partner was out
of the bed.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Yeah still no, Okay, it wouldn't happen. Okay, it just
goes unmade all day.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
If it's the weekend, I'm going to make an.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Effort, man, Okay, Okay, is your bed heck?

Speaker 10 (07:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
First thing when I when my shower's warming up, I
turn it on for like I don't know a minute
to let the water get one. Yeah, that's all. That's
what I do right away. First thing out of bed.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I picture you with military corners and.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
A tight You bet that's it.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
You have to Mine's not quite that, but mine looks
pretty good.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
But you also have eighteen pillows.

Speaker 10 (07:43):
So I do.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I arranged them and left them and do all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Because we're up and we're out.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
We talk about this because today's happiness hack. A new
survey finds that ninety percent of people who make their
beds describe themselves as happier with their lives. Sixty percent
of non bed makers report feeling un happy.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
With their lives. I'm just gonna throw that out there.
I'm not judging. Yeah, yeah, you know, we don't listen.
We listen and we don't judge.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Plus, a sleep study finds that we sleep seventy percent
better when we get into a bed that is made.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
It is probably so tight you have to like take
a crowbar and listen.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
If if these reasons aren't enough, I present to the
panel Navy for Star Admiral William mccraven.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Now this is a man who knows success.

Speaker 8 (08:26):
Admiral if you want to change the world, start off
by making your bed. If you make your bed every morning,
you will have accomplished the first task of the day.
It will give you a small sense of pride, and
it will encourage you to do another task, and another
and another, and by the end of the day that
one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed.

(08:49):
Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that the
little things in life matter. If you can't do the
little things right, you'll never be able to do the
big things right. And if, by chance, you have a
miserable day, you will come home to a bed that
is made, but you made, and a made bed gives
you encouragement that tomorrow will be better.

Speaker 7 (09:13):
Find your feel good here on the L and K
Morning Show Coast one oh three point five Top Stories.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Top of the Hour, Good morning, I'm ellen K. And
authorities have arrested a pair for stealing and reselling eras
tour tickets. They made a profit of six and thirty
five grand from more than nine hundred tickets for Taylor
swift Ed Sharon and Adele. They were employed by a
third party contractor for stub Hub. They obtained the URL
the purchase tickets through a loophole and stub hub software

(09:43):
which has now been corrected. They have been charged with
second degree grand larceny, first degree computer tampering, fourth through
Greek conspiracy, and fourth degree computer tampering. And so these people,
these individuals have been taken off the streets. And what
about this? The LA City councils and the crosshairs or
I guess crosswalk, they're seeing an emergency three million dollars

(10:05):
to fund crossing guards for the remainder of the school year.
LA DOT currently employees five hundred and twenty crossing guards
at four hundred and thirty schools, but unexpected wage increases
and bonuses have exhausted that budget. It's unclear where that
money might come from. But they're working with mayor baths
to ensure the safety of our students does not diminish.

(10:26):
So they're working on that. And in the world of dating,
something for you to be aware of and beware of.
It's flood lighting. It's become an unsettling trend that single
seeking genuine connection should be aware of. There is a
creator of an app called so sing To who says
be careful flood lighting. It is a calculated move used

(10:46):
by emotional tricksters to create a false sense of closeness.
It typically involves oversharing personal traumas or intimate details very
soon in the relationship, and oversharing too soon can leave
you open to exploitation by someone who doesn't truly have
your best interests at heart. And what about this? We're
keeping it cloudy and cool today, maybe wife, but we

(11:07):

because with an app, no, and the banker's gone. I
mean pretty soon it's going to be virtual jail too.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
I mean, you're right, you can't replace the original. I
just find it to be a tedious thing.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
A common complaint about the new version of Monopoly it
can't be used to teach kids about math and how
to handle money.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
Well, apparently it's not used to teach kids how to
clean up after themselves either, because when I babysit my
niece and nephew, that's.

Sabotage a coworker. Now it doesn't matter what age you
are or if you're in school, are at work saboteurs
are out there, the people who they want what you
have and they'll do anything to get it. Do you
have anyone like that in your circle of friends?

Speaker 9 (19:27):
I think so?

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Yeah, maybe see. And that's the thing about them, you
don't really know.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah, Like you've got a best friend. Someone wants your
best friend, so then they say something of that person.
That's sabotage to try to get them away from you
on their side. So yeah, good. I hope that no
one sabotages you, all right, But twice as many men
as women have done this at work. It is sabotage
a coworker.

Just giving you that early drop another price increase after

our bestest brothers in broadcasting. Melvin Robert is joining the

Sam Rubin, our buddy, taking over as their permanent entertainment anchor.
Melvin's first day on Channel five will be Monday, March seventeenth.

Side note, Melvin, who grew up in Inglewood, interned at
KTLA back in the year two thousand. So this is
a super full circle moment. We say we love you.
Way to go, Melvin, and flying cars comeing to Orlando.
They're gear enough to bring flying cars to the region.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is looking for partners to
develop and operate a flying car landing pad. So they

the airport, and they want to do it quickly, setting
Orlando for cutting edge success with small electric aircraft that
will take off and land vertically. Flying cars are here

Speaker 13 (22:43):
I'm seventeen and I have an issue. So my dad
remarried a year ago and his new wife is closer
to my age than she is his, and she likes
to dress very provocatively, pretty much almost naked most of

(23:05):
the time.

Speaker 14 (23:05):
Around the house. She's wearing practically nothing, very small clothing,
and it's kind of becoming an issue where I can't
bring my friends over because I'm worried she's gonna be
naked around them or make them feel uncomfortable. I just
need some help with how I can overcome this. How
can I, you know, bring this up to her or
to my dad or just I just need to help.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
What do you do?

Speaker 12 (23:31):
I think it's absolutely something she needs to talk to
her dad about. I'm a little bit surprised that he
hasn't noticed this and that he hasn't kind of run interference.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
A little bit.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Maybe he likes it.

Speaker 12 (23:44):
He may, and I would ask her to imagine having
this conversation, what she would like it to look like,
what she wants to get from this conversation.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Clothes close, close, boundaries, boundaries. Boundaries made a good goal.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
But don't we think, guys, that no matter what seems
normal to us, probably we have to admit that that
might not be to her.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Like I had a friend growing up. His name was Martin.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
His mom same story when we and we were teens,
teen boys, Yeah, really, and it was like, wait, what
is this how you guys actually dress around the house.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
And then you know, then you would go home and
probably tell your mom yeah, and then she's like, oh
my gosh, my son's playing with a pornographer that far.

Speaker 12 (24:33):
But yeah, I think there are different standards, and that's
why there does need to be a discussion about boundaries,
and it needs to be really clear, and you know,
it's I believe it should always have to be an
open discourse policy.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
I had the opposite happen when I was little and
I was partly ten. I would go spend the night
at my friend's house and her dad was single and dating.
He was really good looking, and so we were almost
like left there alone a lot of the times, and
he would never bring them back. Like, I never saw
anything inappropriate, but he did have a stash of magazines

(25:11):
that we discovered, and I told my parents and then
they said, you're not sleeping over there anymore. They just
didn't like that these were accessible to us, right, So
you know, I mean, I know that's different because these
are pictures versus a human, but to me, it was
still shocking. Yeah, because I mean we did peque and
then you can't unsee that. So it's just all about boundaries,

(25:36):
That's what it is. Boundaries and have a conversation. If
you're uncomfortable, you know, you have every right to speak
up and make it come, especially in your own home,
you know, like Ryan, you're talking about Martin's house. Well,
okay that they're used to that, but not at your house. Yeah,
So all right, Well, we've got one thousand dollars for you. Also,

(25:56):
if it's ever happened to you where you need some
boundary set, you can call at eight hundred and ninety
two nine KOST. You're listening for Journey Don't Stop Believing

therapist Sarah Dash and definitely most of you have been saying, well,
she just needs to talk about her dad. She's seventeen,
so she can't move out or you know, we wouldn't
want her to threaten her dad were and keep the peace.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
But and as as someone that age, it's so important
to have your friends come over and to have a
social life that exists under your roof.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yes, yeah, And look, if you're going on a date
the guy comes to the door, you want him to
feel comfortable too, Like you said, so, it's a it's
a big social time and this girl isn't feeling very comfortable. Tobias,
thank you so much for Collin.

Speaker 9 (27:18):
What do you say, respectfully request that your dad respects
her feelings and comfortability while she has to live there
at least you know so. Yeah, she's kind of stuck
between a rock and a hard place, for sure.

Speaker 14 (27:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:37):

I would love to go there. Last year we met
with our racer Catherine leg and you know, it's like
a little bit later in the morning. You meet in
this parking lot and then you get a police escort.
If you're with a race car driver, it's incredible. So
Catherine's like, we had, you know, one of those vans,

(36:36):
like a sprinter van. Sure, there's a bunch of us
packed in there. We're all going in together, and Catherine
says to the driver, let me have the wheel.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
No, no, yeah, you can't do well, guys is probably union,
He's got responsibilities.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
She gets behind the wheel of the sprinter van and
there's a motorcycle cop in front of her and like
two behind her. And we came to where there was
a huge like backup and she's racing. She has to
get in there. So she went, she went around them.
She's wearing a racing suit. It was so thrilling.

takes two pictures, all right. So he said our birthday
boy said, I never worry about the problem. I worry
about the solution, all right. He is Shaquille O'Neill, kiss
on three, kiss on me and went to three.
