Speaker 2 (05:00):
Happy April Fool's Day. There are rules for fools, so
today you have to get your pranks in before noon.
That's just one of the unwritten rules. It says that
there's been a guideline for a while, but it doesn't
always get mentioned. The fooling stops at noon. Any pranks
must be revealed by then, and anyone who attempts a
prank after midday is considered the April fool themselves. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Also, I don't know if I love that now, like

twenty seventeen Burger King played a big prank. They announced
they were releasing Wopper flavored product, and that was the toothpaste.
I don't know if you remember that Wopper flavor toothpaste.

(05:51):
I thought that was a good one. Hunday started April
Fool's Day early by hyping a stretch limo version of
the Honday Inster. But there are other things happening today.

a safe driver notification on it that means he's had

announced that he understands the seriousness of his situation and
is stepping away to seek treatment and focus on his health.
Sidney Sweeney's at campaign with Doctor Squatch, where they supposedly

(09:11):
made soap from her bathwater, has been nominated for a
Webby Award. The category is Best Viral pr Campaign and
Bob Marley's dreadlock is expected to get thirty three thousand
dollars at an auction. It's a one and a half
inch dreadlock. It hid an online auction block in the
UK and yeah it should sell for about thirty three
thousand dollars according to the listing. It's the first genuine

(09:33):
example of Marley's hair to be sold in twenty years.
A fan got it back in nineteen seventy eight when
he performed Satisfy My Soul on the BBC. It was
at the top of the Pops program and all she
did was ask him for it and he gave it
to her.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Snip it off.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I don't know, the fan says he kept nodding and
chuckling and appeared amused by it. So I twisted a
piece of his dreadlock off, and he, of course gave
me his autograph as well. Kept it in my autograph
album ever since. That is so cool. So she just
twisted off a piece and he let her. Okay. The
series premiere of Dear Killer Nanny's is out today on Hulu.

(10:11):
It's a coming of age story told through the eyes

You could maybe put a little tape on someone's mouse
on the on the underside of their mouth, their mouths
won't work.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
That's a good one. You could freeze cereal and that's
always fine.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
You put the cereal and the milk and the middle,
put the bowl in the freezer. We used to do
that to Calvin all the time.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Remember when my husband woke me up in the middle

big thank you.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
I love to be in the dirt. I know, I
love to get my hands in there. I wear it
gloves anyway, but I just I don't know. I like
to watch things grow and nurture them.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Well, you're gonna love this. This is crazy.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
If you want your house plants to grow faster, rotate
them a quarter turn every time you walk by. Okay,
so rotate them a quarter turn every time you walk
by them. So so the constant change confuses the plant
into thinking the sun is moving more than usual, so
it speeds up its growth to keep up with the sun.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
So that's what would happen in nature. Yeah, because the
sun sets in one direction and then its.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Every time you walk by a plant. Rot Okay, your
house plants are going to Growhi, love really fast.

Speaker 3 (15:02):

One O three point five top stories top of the hour.
Good morning, I'm ellen Ka on your April Fool's Day.
It looks like the NASA Artemis two is going to
be go for launch later today. The long delayed lunar
mission currently set for three twenty four Pacific time liftoff.
Space Force forecasters reporting a favorable eighty percent chance that

(15:31):
the weather is going to cooperate. This is so very exciting.
A SoCal native is set to pilot this lunar mission
to become the first black person to reach the Moon
and he's promoting Tyre Ontario High School. He's a wrestler
and Navy test pilot Victor Glover. Way to go. He
wears his excitement on his royal blue jumpsuit. Sleep and
if the first person to reach the moon, the mission

(15:54):
is a lunar flyby, so the crew will not land
on the moon or enter lunar orbit. Also the first
woman to be on this man mission as well. Let's
go back to Artemis one three two one boosters an
ignition and lift off of Artemis one.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
We rise together back to the Moon and beyond.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
I just love his intensity. That's my dream voiceover drop. Okay,
what about this? If you want to own part of
the Eiffel Tower, you can. There's a section of the
tower's original spiral staircase going up for sale. Now they
broke this staircase into all these pieces. Someone to French museums.
There's one in Disneyland. There are some in Japan. Anyway,
there's another piece up for auction about fifty to I

(16:36):
don't know, sixty thousand dollars. But how cool is the
spiral staircase. It is actually from the Eiffel Tower that
goes to auction today. And what about this? Dodgers keep cruising.
Another win, last Night in the Rain Show, Hay Souper
Strong on the mound, six strikeouts, six innings given up,
only one hit. He's a beast. Max Munsey with his
final homer of the year, a solo bombed Center Guardians

(16:56):
again Tonight five twenty first pitch and to celebrate back
to back World's Series wins, we have your back to
back Dodger tickets this morning. Details on that just ahead,
and science confirms this. It is not an April fool's joke.
Soda really does taste better in a can. Maybe you're
one of those who likes to crack it open put
it over ice, but they say that it's all about
the fizz. Carbonation is a big part of the flavor,

(17:18):
and cans do a better job keeping your bubbles in.
Congrats to Apple turn in fifty. Happy birthday, Steve Jobs
and Steve Wasney founding Apple on this day fifty years ago.
They celebrated with a big, you know, employee kind of
concert headlined by Paul McCartney. But it was in nineteen
ninety seven. Apple was on the brink of bankruptcy with

(17:40):
roughly ninety days of cash remaining over a billion and losses,
so they said, hey, Steve Jobs, will you come back?
And he did and the rest is history. Yeah, that
sound I love it. And we are stepping into April
way cooler. We have a chance of drizzle, full spring
weather temps barely touch in seventy today. Accordingly Northridge sixty

(18:01):
eight for year high Newport Beach, you're going to sixty five,
and right now it is fifty eight in Burbank Kost,
Los Angeles. It's coast one of three point five coming up.
We're sending you to notts Berry Farm. Got your four packs.
More details on your back to back Dodger tickets as well.
Been here to win, a man to live, back to

(18:27):
back world champions, That's what we got for you, the Dodgers.
We've got a pair of tickets, and you know that
if there's one pair, it's got to be a back
to back pair. So just be listening to Windows at
any moment here on the Ellen k Morning Show. And
we love your letters to Ellen.

Speaker 9 (18:47):
Right to Ellen for advice, because she's seen a thing
or two.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
She is Ellen, all right. This one from Diana. Dear Ellen,
I think I might have ruined my sister's marriage. And
I don't know if I regret it. Oh, that's strong.
My sister Lila has been married to her husband Marcus
for seven years. From the outside, they look solid, two kids,

(19:11):
nice house, the whole thing. But I've never trusted Marcus.
There was always something off. He's handsome, he's charming and
flirty in that I'm just being friendly way That makes
you feel crazy for noticing, but I did. A Few
weeks ago, I borrowed Marcus's iPad while I was at
my sister's house and a message popped up. It was

(19:31):
from a woman saved as client dinner. The text were
not professional at all, and I wish I could say
I closed it and minded my business, but I did not.
I read enough to know that this was ongoing, planned
and intentional. I lost it immediately. I showed my sister everything.
Now their marriage is in free fall. Marcus says it's
not what it looks like, but she's devastated. There's talk

(19:54):
of separation, and now my entire family is split. Some
say I did the right thing. Others say I crossed
a mass of line, invaded his privacy, and blew up
a family with two young kids over something I wasn't
even supposed to see. If I had looked, they'd still
be happy, or at least they'd think they were. Did
I protect my sister or did I destroy her life? Diana?

(20:18):
This is really dramatic and sad, but also was it
going to happen? Eventually? So Marcus gets a text from
a woman saved as client dinner, and so Diana read them?
Would you yep? You'd read everything? Yep.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
I don't believe her that she just randomly grabbed his iPad.
I oh really no, I don't believe that part. But
aside from that, I think she did her sister a favor.
So even however she ended up looking through these messages
as whatever, uh huh. I think that part's a lie.
But I think she saved her sister a lot of heartache.

Speaker 6 (21:00):
I think I could live knowing that I know something
my sister should know about.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yes, star right right? So you would read yeah, would you?
I would read?

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Of course you would.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
But you, guys, we don't even know what Marcus does.
What is he might be in sales? And in sales
sometimes you have to be a little flirty. You have
to wine and dine the client, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (21:21):
Like make plans, Yeah, make some plans, So I don't
see anything wrong yet.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
If he's Skeevee anyway, which she says he is, which
is what leads me to believe she grabbed that iPad
on purpose. Well, but also if he's Skeevie as a person,
he's schev professionally too, of course, So maybe Mike is right.
Maybe maybe his flirtatiousness. Because we don't have any of
the messages.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
It's just a steady skeev with this guy.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Yeah, steady scheve. I like that he's trying to. Let's
call him steady skeeve. His name is Marcus. A few
weeks ago, I borrowed Marcus's iPad while I was at
her house and a message popped up from a woman's
safe disclaim dinner. And the messages were not professional at all.
I read enough to know this is ongoing, planned and intentional.
That's the part I wish we had the message.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Oh I'd love to see what that was.

Speaker 6 (22:10):
Oh my god, I'm sure inappropriate emojis. Oh, that's what
I thought of right away.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Ryan, We always do that at the same time. Oh
has this ever happened to you?

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Ryan?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
This apple didn't fall far from your tree?

Speaker 9 (22:30):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Yeah, no, this happened to me.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
I was using an excess computer and you saw messages.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
I was doing some.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
Work for our for our shows. It was actually Valentine's Day.
We'd just gotten back from Big Bear and my computer,
my laptop died and I said, hey, can I use
your computer?

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Did it really die?

Speaker 10 (22:45):
No?

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Because I didn't take my charger to Big Bear. Okay,
so it was dead. So I said, can I use
your computer? And she said sure?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
And then ping ping, really lots of pinging.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Oh oh, and it was I want. What I found
was rich.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
I would say that you bar rowing that computer, you
did yourself a favor.

Speaker 9 (23:02):
That was it.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yeah, that was the last day. So is Diana wrong?
Did Diana protect her sister or destroy her life? Because,
like she said, if I hadn't looked, they'd still be happy,
or at least they'd think they were. It's eight hundred
ninet two nine kost.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
It's letters to Ellen's controlling.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
She doesn't know what she wants.

Speaker 5 (23:19):

Letters to Ellen every Monday and Wednesday on the Ellen
k Morning Show, host one O three point five.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
How long have you been struggling with your weight? Has
it been months or years? Maybe been struggling with your
weight your entire life if you need to lose fifty pounds.
So much response for a letter to Ellen from Diana.
Diana was using her sister's husband's iPad and uncovered a
treasure trove of messages from client dinner, which really wasn't

(23:56):
a client dinner. So she wants to know that I
protect my sister or did I destroy her life? So
many calls coming from me. She told her sister everything
showed her. Uh, and now there's a separation. There are
two kids involved. They were really they had no idea.
We got this talk back from Kelly.

Speaker 12 (24:15):
Hey, guys, good morning. So this is regarding the Diana situation.
I just wanted to let you know that I think
that she did the right thing by sharing this information
with her sister, and the facts are basically, she didn't
ruin her sister's marriage. Marcus did. I'm guessing that she's
had a gut instinct, like she's saying, for a long time,
and now she has actually found the proof and the verbiage.

(24:39):
So yeah, I support Diana one.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Okay, most of your calls are saying that some people
have been through this. Colin us about it. Keep them coming. Also,
you're ellen KQ and A coming up next post. One
in three people admit they stayed in a relationship for
this reason. That is your question? What is the right answer?

(25:06):
All of our ellen kq and A questions are scientifically proven.
One in three people admit they've stayed in a relationship
for this reason. What do you say? It is? It's
for a four packed a knots Berry farm. The Boys
and Berry festival you want to send you is back
now through April twelfth, and you can win your way

(25:26):
in a four pack? How fun is that?

Speaker 3 (25:28):
You ever have a halopanio boison berry saltzer?

Speaker 2 (25:31):
I have not right, and you're about to.

Speaker 7 (25:35):
Call us with your guesses now Coast one of three

the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
App and it's Coast one of three point five.

Speaker 9 (25:42):
All right.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
One of three people admit they've stayed in a relationship
for this reason. It is not because it's easier than
starting over. It's not because they work together or that
they don't want to upset family. Great guesses is for
a four packed toknots Bury Farm. Get more of your
guesses coming up mixed.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
It's the ellen k Q and a on post one.
Oh three point five.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Let's go to the fifty seven freeway. His name is Tony. Tony,

teared up. It's just beautiful day.

Speaker 11 (26:23):
To be out.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Great. Yeah, we're seeing blue sky and burbank two beautiful.
Let's see if you have the right answer. One or
three people admit they've stayed in a relationship for this reason.

Speaker 9 (26:34):
Is it because maybe they have a pet together? The pet?

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Oh, it's a great guess. It's not the right answer.

Speaker 9 (26:43):
Oh okay, I'll try it again. All right.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
I have a great day guys, you too. Bye bye.
We're going down to the ten East. San Gabriel Fian welcome. Hi.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
All right, Well, what is your guest thean? What do
you think it is? One in three people staying in
a relationship for what reason?

Speaker 3 (27:16):
It's for their children?

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Were their children? Do you have friends like that or
have you ever been in that situation?

Speaker 13 (27:22):
No, I have a lot of friends that do that.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Yeah, staying for the kids. That's a great, great guest.
It's a really popular guest, probably one of our most
popular guest is. But it's not the right answer.

family members be in that situation.

relationship for finances. And you are a winner. Congrats.

including Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Russell Wilson, Billy

don't have a launch date yet, but it is happening,
and we are stepping into April. Cloudy, chance of drizzle,
full spring weather. We're getting so blue sky here in Burbank,
but tempts barely touched in seventy today, so it's going
to be kind of patchy everywhere. Clouds here then son
c no hel up to sixty eight to north Ridge.
You do the same sixty eight four year high and

Speaker 3 (30:39):
All right, yeah, not many people could pull that off
from Madonna can Yeah, makes sense?

Speaker 2 (30:45):
And we love your responses to our letter to Ellen.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Right to Ellen for advice, because she's seen a thing
or two.

Speaker 9 (30:50):
She is Ellen.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
This one from Diana. Dear Ellen, I think I might
have ruined my sister's marriage, and I don't regret it.
My sister Lila has been married to her husband Marcus
for seven years. From the outside, they look solid, two kids,
nice house, the whole thing. But I've never trusted him.
There was always something off. He's handsome, charming, and flirty.

(31:16):
A few weeks ago, I borrowed Marcus's iPad while I
was at her house and a message popped up. It
was from a woman saved as client dinner. The texts
were not professional at all. I wish I could say
I closed it and minded my own business. But I
did not. I right enough to know this is ongoing,
it is planned, it's intentional. I lost it. I showed
my sister everything. Now their marriage is in a free fall.

(31:39):
She's devastated. There's talk of separation, and now my entire
family is split. Some say did the right thing. Others
say I crossed a massive line. There are two young kids.
Why did I do that? This is over something I
wasn't even supposed to see. If I hadn't looked, they'd
still be happy, or at least think they were happy.
Did I protect my sister or did I just right

(32:00):
her life?

Speaker 9 (32:00):
Diana?

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Wow, Mariah, thank you so much for sounding in because
we've had so many calls about this and has happened
to so many people.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Yeah, before we get to Maria, I just noticed this
red flag. Client dinner is the laziest way to save
a name that you're saving fake.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
It could have been like Bob, like what client?

Speaker 4 (32:22):
I mean you if you're really, if it's an actual,
you would put the name of the person and the company. Right,
client dinner, that's a major red flag.

Speaker 8 (32:30):
Right, Maybe it is a client dinner.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
But who a client?

Speaker 8 (32:34):
You have to be friendly and flirty to make the sale.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
We don't know, said, I read enough to know this
is i'mgoing planned an intentional The texts were not professional
at all, and we're dying to know what they say. Okay,
but Mariah, let's get to you. Did Diana do the right.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Thing I do?

Speaker 11 (32:51):
Because first her sister found out later, and then she
found out that she knew she would feel more betrayed
from her keeping.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
A secret absently.

Speaker 11 (33:00):
Anytime you find something out, it's gonna hurt. I had
the same thing. It happened with a girlfriend of mine.
Her fiance was hitting on me and I told her
he was like trying to inappropriately flirt with me, and
I told her, and she quit talking to me for
a while. But you know, I think it's just when
its first hits, you want to blame somebody, and it's
hard to blame the person you're with, right.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Got it? And then she never married him?

Speaker 11 (33:23):
Yeah, they did, but it didn't last very long, okay.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
And she she was never like, really she didn't stay
salty with you, did she?

Speaker 11 (33:31):
No, we're still friends. It's just you're trying you want
to place the blame where it hurts the.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Least, yes, right, right?

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Okay, Well, Thank you so much, Mariah, no problem.

Speaker 11 (33:42):
Think you have a good day.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
You too, Yeah, you gotta gotta tell your own sister.
How could you not? Oh?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
It would eat you alive too, wouldn't it if you
carried that around?

Speaker 6 (33:53):
Oh my gosh, Oh I would just hander over the
iPad say or look at.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
This, Yeah, show I lost it. I showed my sister everything.
Now their marriage is basically in free fall. He says,
It's not what it looks like. She's devastated. Okay, so
keep your calls coming.

Speaker 7 (34:11):

you want fries, they'll give them to you free if
you tap your nose.

Speaker 5 (35:02):

Speaker 3 (37:52):
So cool.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Yeah, and Sir Paul just announcing his next album, The
Boys of Dungeon Lane, out May twenty ninth, with the
lead sing days We Left Behind. He just dropped a
new video for it too. It's on YouTube, Paul saying, quote,
this is very much a memory song for me. I
do often wonder if I'm just writing about the past,
But then I think, how can you write about anything else?

Speaker 3 (38:14):
That's a great point.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
I'm ready, Yes, I'm ready. You want to do it,
Let's do it. Days we Left Behind Paul McCartney New music.
We're loving him a new video on YouTube. New music

Speaker 1 (38:35):
The Sister from Me Roll the True Me see for
all the job.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Speaking of messes, my gosh, Marcus has made a mess.
His wife Lilah was married for Marcus for seven years.
Two kids, a nice house, the whole thing. Lilah's sister Diana,
used Marcus's iPad while she was visiting their house and

(39:07):
a message popped up from a woman saved as client dinner.
It was a whole lot more than a client dinner.
It was. It was a lot. So Diana showed her
sister Lila everything, and now the family is in a
free fall their separation. Some say that Diana did the

(39:28):
right thing. Others say she crossed a massive line. She
doesn't know what to do. So thank you so much
for weighing in all your calls. It's good to Alexander. So, Alexander,
you've had something similar like this?

Speaker 9 (39:44):
What happened? Hey? So I owned a limousine company and
one of my top clients would only allow me to drive,
so I went. I drove in with his girlfriend to
Dodger Stadium, and my vehicle would always part inside where
the players park. So he went to the game and

(40:05):
I'm resting in the car and then I see the
girl that he's with his girlfriend come out with a
baseball player. I get out of the car and I'm
walking towards the car and she's hiding, and I said, Crystal,
what are you doing?

Speaker 13 (40:23):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (40:23):
He decided to stay longer with Franzel. I said, okay,
I'd let it go. My friend comes back, we leave,
he's very sad, you know, And I did not share
that with him because I didn't want to break his
heart more.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Right.

Speaker 9 (40:39):
I then would play basketball with him and listen to him,
and have dinners with him and just listen to him.
He found an amazing, honest, beautiful woman that is now
his wife, and they have beautiful children. I did inform
him of that situation, and he was very upset at me.
He resented me. He's like, you should have told me, Yeah, Dender,

(41:02):
I said, well, if I would have told you, it
would not have changed your heart, and I didn't want
to hurt you more. But that experience Ellen taught me
to never hold anything back, especially when you are protecting
your friends and your family, because that situation would never
come up if somebody's being honest. You know this woman

(41:26):
who was afraid of you know, the sister divorcing, well
she did the sister of fever. She's protecting the sister,
So we would never be talking about that situation if
this man was being honest.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Yeah, yep, okay, wow, well you you you've definitely lived
through it and your friends still my friend.

Speaker 9 (41:45):
Yes, absolutely, we're very good friends. Yea, very good friends.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
So did Diana do the right thing? Most of you
are saying absolutely ye e s sweet jeeves a lad.

this big, beautiful life saving hospital.

Speaker 13 (43:56):
So these really humble beginnings. Castle our street which is
now in China the town. A group of young women
decided that Los Angeles was big enough to have a
children's hospital. Fourteen beds. The oar was in the pantry.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Oh no way, come on.

Speaker 13 (44:13):
They had four surgeries the first year and then moved
to our current location, which is on the corner of
Vermont in Sunset. Four hundred beds, seventy five hundred employees,
a thousand physicians and again caregivers from around the world
providing care at our great institution.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
