Some people are saying they're not going to watch the
Olympics or the Super Bowl. Those are crazy, so they're
going to go to the movies and at the box office,
Send Help and Iron Lung will take the weekend box office,
but revenue for each will approach about ten million dollars.
Hollywood studios avoid major releases on this weekend Super Bowl.
Weekend movie theaters are typically just empty. This year, five

(02:20):
new arrivals pretty to each debut around five million, as
well Kevin James with Solo Mio. There's an R rated
horror called Strangers. Chapter three. Whistle is about a cursed
Aztec death whistle discovered by high school kids. A Dracula

the dominate experience. And then there's a Charlie XCX mockumentary

(02:43):
The Moment, but no one will be there, So if
you like to have the theater to yourself, you can
do it. Fans of Harry Styles have sold their blood
to afford Madison Square Garden tickets. Rolling Stone Magazines spoke
to a San Diego State University student who got a
side hustle as a part time tutor and earned ninety
dollars per plasma donation. She said, quote, I want to

(03:05):
see one of my favorite artists. We shouldn't have to
be doing all of this just to afford tickets for
one night.

Speaker 8 (03:10):
That is true.

Speaker 9 (03:11):
By the way, did you hear that there's a new
bill going through the California Assembly that will cap resale
prices of tickets like secondary market tickets at ten percent
over face value.

Speaker 10 (03:19):
That's good.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
So that's good, so fantastic. Another fan from Florida traded
her blood at a plasma center to pay for her
Harry Styles tickets flies at Hotel. Let's see Harry Styles
performs those thirty nights at Madison Square Garden in September
and October, including Halloween or the so called Harry Ween Concert.

Speaker 9 (06:24):
Sometimes you know you wake up and go shouldn't have
that last one, last six.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I'm going to be drinking cold beer.

Speaker 8 (06:33):
You've been on this beer kick lately.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, well I save it for like when I really
want it.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (06:38):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
So I saw the Bludsweiser Clydesdale's stomping through San Francisco
and they ended up delivering the beer to a bar
near where my son is.

Speaker 8 (06:49):
What.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yeah, so we got to call Calvin and see if
he's gonna go get the beer from the horses.

Speaker 9 (06:54):
Well, if you have too many beers, wines or yeah,
vod could drinks or.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Whatever it is, whatever it is, Margarita, does that you
pick on Super Bowls?

Speaker 9 (07:04):
Yeah, list goes on, you know that next morning, Monday morning.
A lot of people calling it for work. But if
you want to feel a little better and you have
to be there, this is a really cool I've been
seeing this pop up everywhere lately. So there is a new,
scientifically proven best hangover cure, and a lot of them
are just kind of like they always seem, I don't know,
they never seem too valid, like the old hangover cures,

(07:25):
Like what would you do.

Speaker 8 (07:26):
For instance, if you felt like, oh, maybe we had
too much?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I think I would take some you know, like etcetera.
Same and then I think I would have a Gatorade
or a power.

Speaker 9 (07:35):
That's my track too. Yeah, okay, but this one's very simple.
Banana milkshakes with honey.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Oh it's so delicious.

Speaker 9 (07:42):
Take a banana, okay, squirt in some honey, little milk
blended up boom scientifically proven to replenish your key nutrients,
those specifically lost during alcohol consumption. Banana's rich in potassium.
They support nerve and muscle function. Honey provides natural sugars
that help stabilize blood sugars after drinking.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
This is science.

Speaker 9 (08:00):
Banana milkshake, Honey milk have fun. No, bananas have a
lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
But the other good fridays happen here on the Llenk
Morning Show. Coast one O three point five. It's the
llen K Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
So I love listening to you guys in the morning.

Speaker 13 (08:14):
You bring a fig smile to my face.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Top Stories, Top of the Hour, Good morning, I'm Ellen
Kay here on your Friday, February sixth, And a few
fresh updates on still ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie's missing
mother of Today's Show host Savannah Guthrie. The FBI has
offered a fifty thousand dollars reward for information leading to
the return of eighty four year old Nancy or the
capture and conviction of her abductors, Savannah's brother. Meanwhile, Cameron

(08:41):
has released another video on social media this time speaking
directly to his mom's kidnapper.

Speaker 14 (08:45):
We haven't heard anything directly. We need you to reach
out and we need a way to communicate with you
so we can move forward. But first we have to
know that you have our mom. We want to talk
to you, and we are waiting for contact.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
The FBI says any ransom decision is not their call.

Speaker 8 (09:03):
While we advise and recommend from a law enforcement perspective,
any action taken on any ransom is ultimately decided by
the family.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Oh, the story, of course still developing. Most Olympic athletes
aren't doing it to get rich, but they could make
a decent churne of change if they sold those medals,
even for scrap. A new report found that gold medals
are worth more than ever this time we're talking about
the raw materials they made of gold and silver. Prices
are through the roof. Someone looked at how much each
medal would be worth if you just melted it down.
Gold twenty three hundred dollars, silver fourteen hundred, but bronze

(09:34):
only five dollars and eighty cents. And tonight, the opening
ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Milano, Cortina Italy. Special
correspondents include Soop Dog, Stanley Tucci, snl Alama Bowen Yang,
and Not Gonna Lie podcaster Kylie Kelce. That's Travis's sister
in law, Mariah Carey performing at that opening ceremony, singing

(09:55):
in Italian, and who You Got In Sunday Super Bowl
Seahawks Patriots highly anticipated rematch from twenty fifteen, which New
England won. By the way. Oddsmakers like Seattle four and
a half point favorites to hoist that Lombardy Trophy. Covered
starting at noon on NBC kickoff three thirty Bad Bunny
sitting down with the media. He's ducking questions about any
special surprise guests.

Speaker 11 (10:16):
Of course, I think I have a lot of guests.
It's gonna be my family, my friends, or all the
Latino community around the world.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
The super Man.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I'll definitely be there. Thumb's taking a ten degree tumble,
major cold down. Hi's around seventy at tad Warmer for
the weekend before some rain rolls in, and that happens
next week. Let's see her at Glendale. You get to
sixty eight Glendora, you'll see seventy for your high and
it is sixty in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles. It's Coast
one of three point five. We have cash on Coast,

(10:49):
Bruno mars At Sofi with your LNKQ and A and
you feel goods, Feel Good Friday.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
It's The Lank Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Ellen, Yeah, Hi, it's all of us.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
We're all here, Dar, Mike Ryan.

Speaker 15 (11:00):
It's a wonderful morning.

Speaker 11 (11:01):
And you guys bring so much positivity.

Speaker 7 (11:03):
Let's party together, party hardy Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Starting your day feeling good. Extend your life, like by
four years or something. That's what science says. So thank
you for having us on word the Lank Morning Show.
And it is a watch. Watch it well. I love

(11:28):
the binge and this is such a binge worthy great show.
If you haven't gotten into it yet, I mean take
you to Netflix. The Lincoln Lawyer season four has dropped.
Mickey Haller is the big hot shot LA Lawyer. He's
played by Manuel Garcia Roufo and season three ended on
a cliffhanger. So if you haven't gotten into it yet,

(11:51):
it is so worth starting out at the beginning. But
if you just want to watch the recap, that's good too.
Season four is the most emotional yet it's all filmed
here in La. You see these great shots. You see
how actually how our court system works, how our LAPD.
The sheriff is in there because there is murder. And
in this one Manuel garcier Wolf, who is Mickey Haller,

(12:13):
he is set up by someone and there's a dead
body in his trunk. Oh he gets pulled over by LAPD.
And that's all I can say. Okay, yeah, But the
Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix.

Speaker 8 (12:24):
Lots of cool shots of the city in Southwest.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
So many all right, dar what you got? All right?

Speaker 5 (12:29):
So the Turpins a New House of Horrors on Hulu.
Diane Sawyer sits then down with three of them because
there's a total of thirteen victims. And if you remember
this story, back in the city of Paris p e
r RS in California, there was thirteen kids from ages
two to twenty nine years old that were being held
captive in their home and eventually one of them escaped

(12:53):
and called the cops. So the parents are in jail
now and three of them went to go on Diane
Sawyer's show for an interview and it's catching up with them.
But the New House of Horrors, they talk about how
they left from one house of horror to a new
house of horror at the next place wherever they were placed.

(13:14):
So it's very interesting and you can watch that on Hulu.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Hulu. We're good, I'm going back to Netflix.

Speaker 6 (13:20):
This is called Alone, and you guys know I love
my reality shows, and this is as real as it gets,
you guys. So they take ten contestants from around the
world and they drop them off in the most rugged, cold,
hard places to live, and they must outlast each other.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Sounds like this.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
Is so good, you guys. So they don't know when
the other ones leave, so you basically have to survive
until you're the last one there.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
So you really are alone.

Speaker 6 (13:42):
You're alone. Listen, You're so alone. There's no camera crews, nothing.
You have to film yourself and make it compelling.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
How does anyone like distress?

Speaker 6 (13:51):
Okay, so all you get is a walkie talkie and
if you're ready to leave, you have to call for
producers and they come, put you on the boat and
they take you away. But you're running from grizzly bears.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
You have to fish. You are alone, you guys.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
And last season, I remember this guy even had a
heart attack. He was fine. He was fine, he called
and they got an exit him on Netflix season eleven, brand.

Speaker 8 (14:13):
New, It's called a Lone Park.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
I love this and you will too.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
That's what I'm watching, Ryan, What do you got? Okay?

Speaker 8 (14:19):
Love is in the air and it smells like cake.

Speaker 9 (14:22):
Oh We're going to Netflix for one of the most
fun kitchen competition shows, Is It Cake? Valentine's Daalues, Hosted
by mikey Day of SNL. Three couples of expert cake
artists compete to deceive a panel of judges. They make
such realistic creations that even the most discerning eye can't
decipher if it's a real object or cake.

Speaker 8 (14:42):
The judges get to study three items. One of those
three items is cake. If they fool the panel, they
win money.

Speaker 9 (14:49):
So like a stone, pillars with Cupid on top, a
plush bear holding a heart, a big basket of flowers.

Speaker 8 (14:54):
They sure look real.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Jay, I love it. I love it.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
Cheers Friday continues next here on The L and K

Well, you know, I think that if you have been ghosted,
you should go out and socialize and forget about that person.

Speaker 12 (16:45):
That's luck, you know, getting back to you because they're
not worth it. You know, they don't want to talk
to you. Then forget about them.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Go socialize. Great guests, A lot of people see you.
Get back on that horse. Go socialized, get out with people.
It's a great guest, Tony. It's not the right answer.
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Okay, I was ghosted to my face? So is this ghosted?
I'm here, I moved to LA. This guy at this
lunch spot gives me his business card and says, hey,
would you have lunch with me? Here's my card, here's
my office. Meet me there Friday at noon. I'm like,
you know what, seemed really nice. He was with a

(18:25):
group of guys. I was with a group of girls.
So I went to his office and he came down
to the lobby and looked at me and said, excuse me,
who are you?

Speaker 8 (18:36):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
What is that ghosted?

Speaker 8 (18:39):

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yes? Anyway, let's get back to Kevin. What do you
think it is. What is the best way to get
over being ghosted?

Speaker 4 (18:51):
Go to go spoil yourself.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Go spoil yourself, buy something you spend some money, spend
spend on yourself. Go to vegae. I don't know, I know,
like just go to the SPA. That's such a great
guess and it's right too. Spoil yourself, Kevin, all right,

spoil yourself. You are going to Bruno Mars.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, if you get ghosted, don't worry about it. A
lot of people just block them, delete them, whatever it is.
But when you're.

Speaker 8 (19:25):
First okay, so.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Here was before I met him? My god, So how
do you exit that situation? I said, seriously, like, because
that that office was next to our office, and I
had told, you know, all of my coworkers like, hey,
I'm just gonna I'm just gonna investigate this. And so
I came back. I just I left. I just said, okay,

(19:49):
well I must have been a misunderstanding, and then I
went back to.

Speaker 3 (19:53):

both Knots and Six Flags are hiring a whole bunch
of seasonal workers right now. They're a week long hiring,
let's start next week. And a Buffalo couple recently welcome quintuplets,
instantly growing their household to a family of nine. They
are incredibly thrilled. Doctors are shocked. They said this is

(20:55):
so rare. They have named them Holly Mason, Stefan Connor,
and and Laylah. Welcome to the world. Mom and baby's
doing well. The family just adjusting to this new reality
with all of a sudden a crowd and a Connecticut
family got quite the surprise when a jury summon showed
up in the mail, addressed not to the parents, but
to their four year old daughter. The preschooler, Zara had

(21:16):
been called to report for jury duty. Her dad says
when they tried to explain civic duty, she looked back
and said, I'm only a baby. Official said it was
simply a paperwork mix up, her name likely pulled from
a state database that does not include birth dates. The
air quickly cleared up, and Zara was excused and went
to the playground. Teddy Swims headlines pre Super Bowl tailgate

(22:39):
on the radio and it spreads a quick one, but
a great one here on this Friday. From Louise, What's
going on?

Speaker 12 (22:47):
Got a lot of work going on at work and
I was already planning and taking time off because I
got to take my card of the shop and they
call my boss and I'm like, oh man, I got
this thing going on, and he's like, stick the day off.
I'm like but I got got all this work. Like
we all got work, man, don't even worry about it.
And I'm like, you know what, You're right, Let's take
the day off so I feel good Fridays. I got
a Friday off.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Oh yeah, Louis. He was just honest, I got all
this stuff. I can't Okay, Well, let's go to an
angel on Earth for feel good.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Good.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
A ten years ago, Richard Aube was an Emmy Award
winning television producer and he found there was a need
in La, a need to feed those who cannot leave
their homes, the underserved, and he thought, I've got to

(23:50):
do something about this. He's the CEO of Project Angel Food,
and Richard Aube joins us. Now tell us all about
this goodness that just keep on growing. It's your feel good,
you know.

Speaker 10 (24:04):
In twenty nineteen we were serving six hundred and fifteen
thousand meals a year. Then twenty twenty we went to
a million. Then we went to one point two one
point five last year, and we said, oh god, this
kitchen can't do anymore. And the growth is happening. More
and more people in La need us, and so we

(24:25):
did a massive expansion. We have done a twenty million
dollar kitchen redo renovation. Can you imagine the one at
your home? You know, twenty million dollars. It took sixteen
months and sixteen months of construction and three years of fundraising.

(24:48):
So it's a really really big day. And what I
want to say, Ellen, is anyone who's given us ten dollars,
anyone who's volunteered, whether in high school or college, or
anyone who's been there when we couldn't pay payroll, should
feel proud today because you helped us build this kitchen,

(25:09):
and we want to say thank you. It's extremely appreciated
by all of our thousands of clients.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
We're just happy that we have someone like you, Richard,
because you're the one behind it, loving and caressing it
and you know, making it all happen.

Speaker 10 (25:28):
Ellen, thank you for saying that, and you do feel
good moments. This job helps me feel good every day
because I know I'm helping people who I'm never going
to meet but need my help.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Oh thank God for you, Richard Au. Project Angel Food
started ten years ago just with a dream, and now
a twenty million dollar, brand new kitchen is open today.
So many more people here in our community are going
to be helped and have that smile on their face.
We love our feel good Fridays.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
It's feel good Friday.

Speaker 7 (25:59):
Here on the morning show Coast one oh three point five,

Speaker 1 (26:09):
You think it's better to be the underdog because you're
gonna fight harder, or to be the favorite when it
comes to the super Bowl favorite favorite Seahawk's favorite Hornham
points Yeah, but underdog energy is pretty strong for the
Patriots too. Anyway, let's go to Anita Alishan of Valencia.

all right, or when when Cardi b is shown live
on camera, every time Bad Bunny changes his headwhere if

(27:24):
he has any on, take a drink. If there's a
tie at the end of any quarter, Oh, this is
a fun one. Take a drink. If there's a baby
or an animal in the commercial.

Melissa McCarthy in the Elf Cosmetics super Bowl, of which

(28:34):
you are a part of. Whichever part it's good in Adine.
Now you have a betting feel good that you want
to share? What is it?

Speaker 13 (28:41):
Well, I have a stranger story, a very strange stranger encounter.
I love to go to Vegas and it's packed, packed,
people are always waiting to try to get a black
deck table. And I put one hundred dollars bet down
and the stranger behind me said, hey, can I put
my bet on top of yours? And I, I guess.
I thought it was really nervy, but I let them,

(29:04):
and the dealer played my cards in front of me
and I won. So I had four dollars sitting there.
He put his hundred dollar bet on top of mine.
So now there's four dollars and I didn't know what
to do, and he said, well, you can keep it.
I said, really, So I kept it and got the
hell out of there.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
That is paying it forward. That guy didn't care. He
just wanted you to have the money.

Speaker 12 (29:29):
That's so nice, exactly, that was very nice.
