who is going through it break up, custody battle, sick dog,
financial stress. It's a lot every day. She unloads on
me the second I sit down, Can I tell you something?

By nine to fifteen am, I know intimate details about
her ex's new girlfriend. Her lawyer fees what her therapist said.
At first, I felt honored that she trusted me. I
brought coffee, I listen and I nodded. But now I
dread coming to work. I put on headphones. She taps
me on the shoulder. I say, I'm on deadline. She
whispers anyway. I feel awful because she genuinely doesn't have

a lot of support. But I'm not a therapist. I'm
or coworker. How do I set a boundary without looking
cold or cruel? Do I say something? Or do I
go to my manager? Help? Emma? So, Emma, that does
sound like a kind of a touchy situation. You don't
