Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, good morning video on Key Morning Show. Thank you
for being here with us.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm Ellen.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
Hi, I'm Ryan Mano.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
And last night my son Calvin, who's home for the week.
He's working from home. He went out with his favorite
high school teacher. He and some of his high school
classmates went out with mister Goebel.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
No way.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Yeah, they stay in touch with them. This is a
guy who was pretty ruthless in high school, but funny
and so smart, and he was a literature teacher. But
he would always tell the guys because you know, look,
you're fourteen through what seventeen eighteen, and maybe not as
(00:42):
grown up as you need to be. Yeah, he used
to tell them. He's like, all right, you guys, keep
on goofing off, play your video games, be obsessed with girls.
But somewhere in the world right now, let's just say,
Brazil there's a sheeo ready to cannibalize every job you'll
ever go after. Yeah, so it's time to grow up. Yes,
And they used to he used to always, and he'd
(01:02):
always make her a whip smart Brazilian woman is out
there and she's going to run the world. I love it.
And you guys had better shape up because that's who
you're competing with.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
I'm hearing it like tough love almost like in the
moment you made dislike what he's saying to you, right,
But when you have distance and you become like an adult,
like your son's case, I mean, he's he's out there
running it now, he's like, God, he was right, he
was right.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
And now they're all twenty four. And they took him
out to dinner. And I say they went out. I
think they went to Motes of pizzeria. Yeah, And I
just I just love that that they're that they're able
to do that. I thought, that's it. If your high
school teacher is still around. I mean, even Calvin's elementary
school is kindergarten teacher Michelle Legrash, she's she's she's on
social media, she's still teaching at that school. They're going
(01:49):
to go by and see the of the elementary teachers too.
I love it when that happens.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
You thought it's so.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Coast one O three point five Our letter to Ellen.
This one from Erin about Abby who broke his heart.
Aaron is thirty two, Abby is fifty. Aaron says at
thirty two, he knows what he wants, and what he
wants is Abby. And they met online. From their very
first coffee, something clicked and then for nine months they
had this move mo like relationship. And Abby just said
(04:02):
it's over. We don't have a future. Let's not spend
any more time together. Meet someone your own age eron
thirty two to fifty. Now she knows what she wants,
it sounds like, and he knows what he wants.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
He will her, or he thinks he knows what he wants.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
He said, I'm not looking for someone my own age.
I'm looking for her. I've dated women my age, none
of them come close to Abby. Do I respect her
decision and walk away?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
As opposed to what do.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I fight for the woman I believe I'm meant to
be with. But she doesn't want you? Well, but maybe
she does, but she's trying to do. Maybe she loves
him so much, she's doing it for him because she
knows that in ten years, when she's sixty and he's
forty two, or when she's seventy and he's fifty two,
maybe he won't see things the same way. Let's think
(04:52):
about this bo Derek and John Corbett. Okay, there's a
huge age gap there, and she's much old than him.
But they met, fell in love, and he wanted her,
and they made it work.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I mean, it can happen. It just doesn't sound like
she's as interested in him as he is her. That's all.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Well, it's good Alta Loma. Virginia. As a mother, you say, no, I.
Speaker 13 (05:16):
Think that I would be totally uncomfortable because I have
grown children and I would not be comfortable with my
son dating a older woman. Well that's much of a
different gaps like him dating me. That's so weird.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Okay, okay, so what if he's happy though?
Speaker 9 (05:34):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (05:34):
But what he.
Speaker 13 (05:39):
Is he looking for? Like a mother figure? Like in
my mind, I'm like, okay, you already have a mother.
Speaker 9 (05:43):
You don't need I know.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Oh Virginia like that. Okay, Virginia says hard, No, move on, erin. Okay,
thanks so much, Virginia.
Speaker 13 (05:56):
You're welcome to have a wonderful day.

Yeah, and then you don't know what else has been kept?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Oh no, good point. Correct what else don't I know? Jenny,

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Science says it's the biggest relationship mistake that people make.
Speaker 9 (08:20):
They get together because of money.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Marian for money, like if the movie Titanic hasn't taught
us anything, you know, my God or Aladdin?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Right, I mean tail as old as time. Right, money
can't buy you love. Oh, Bob, it's a great guest, Bob,
it's not the right answer, right. Well, it's a really
good guest. Thank you. Try you again. Okay, let's go

It's the llen k Morning Show.
Speaker 13 (09:36):
I love her.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
I love your eyes.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I love everybody right now post one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Before we get to Connie and Van Nuys and this
letter to Ellen. I was in a yoga class. We
were talking about the crane flies and killing, you know, insects,
and Darlene you said, you feel guilty when you kill
a colony of ants. Yeah, I'm like, jeez, the whole
land is gone.
Speaker 14 (09:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
People go and hunt the grunion while they're laying eggs.
You know, they're doing what nature tells them to do,
and then we eat them and make tacos out of them. Well,
I was in a yoga class and the teacher stopped
suddenly and she said, there's a grasshopper in the room.
Everybody stop, I'm going to open a window. She picked
up the grasshopper and put it outside, okay, and then
(10:21):
close the window. And she said, I believe that all
living things deserve to live.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
That's so nice.
Speaker 7 (10:26):
The other thing is some people do believe that in
another life, week return as some of these things.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Yeah, I mean, I love animals and stuff, but but like, okay,
what would you do if you came home today from work?
Speaker 3 (10:38):
You get home, it's hot, there's a rattlesnake in your bed.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
I mean, that's different. That's how it different. What do
you do it's going to kill me. The Grunion aren't
going to kill me, and the crane fly is not
going to kill me.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Okay, that's fair.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I would I would hope to get the rattlesnake out
without killing it.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
I don't know how to do that.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
It's a preposterous thought.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Anyway, let's all right. So Aaron loves Abby. Abby said, Aaron,
were done. There's a huge age difference. Aaron's thirty two,
Abby's fifty. She said, go find someone your own age.
It's almost like, go away, little girl, or go way,
little boy. I'm done. But Connie, you you think what?
Speaker 11 (11:17):
I don't mean to be cynical at all, but has
anybody said anything about money?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (11:22):
Do you think he's a gold digger or you know,
unfortunately sometimes in these age differences.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Fast and faster, or maybe he's not making enough money.
And she's like, you know, you're still you're a boy.
You don't have a career, you don't have you can't
support me.
Speaker 10 (11:39):
Well right either way.
Speaker 13 (11:40):
I just don't know if that's an issue in the
circumstance at all.
Speaker 11 (11:44):
I didn't know if that would come up?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Boy up, Oh it did? It didn't in his letter.
I wonder if she would have written a letter, what
she would say, like, I got this kid who's just
like drooling over me like a puppy, and I'm paying
for everything.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
He mentions the dinners, but who bought the dinner or exactly?
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Wow, maybe that's why he loves her.
Speaker 12 (12:03):
Yeah, but ding down the street listening, and my first
thought was, I wonder if there was money was a
factor in this at all?
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Interesting?
Speaker 12 (12:12):
Okay, I love you, I listen to you every morning.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
I haven't love me day.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
It's letters to Ellen.
Speaker 11 (12:19):
She's a cheater. She was in contact with this pool.
Speaker 9 (12:22):
If her daughter in law finds out what she has
done on your show, and it never will be healed.
Speaker 12 (12:27):
She's cute and I wear the same output and it
looks better on her because I hang a little lower.
Speaker 10 (12:31):
Letters to Ellen every Monday and Wednesday on the Ellen
k Morning Show Coast one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
You know what they say, Ryan, They're the biggest and
the largest, and it's raging waters they are. It's California's
largest water park.
Speaker 9 (12:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Uh, not only that, I love this so much?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
So did you know Ellen that it's the whole It's
home to the world's only hydro magnetic water coaster in
the whole world.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
What does that mean?
Speaker 3 (13:00):
You know, like when you go up a rollercoaster and
you go like.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
The yeah, you get the clicking part.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
So they have that.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
But it's a hydro magnetic system using magnets to.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Pull your your raft up the water. You see what
I mean.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
So there's so cool.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
It's a magnet pulling you and you're wondering, how the
heck am I going up this thing?
Speaker 11 (13:20):
What?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
That's really cool?
Speaker 9 (13:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Also it was the scenes the outdoor water park scenes
from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure with Keanu Reeves were
shot there.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Oh yay, Oh it's raging waters and we got your
four pack right now. All you have to do is
be collar twenty.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
I love those fun posts.
Speaker 7 (13:37):
One O three point five The Ellen k Morning Show
text us anytime at five to one oh three five.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Anna wrote us a letter to Ellen, and you can
too at Coast one O three five dot com. Just
go there. There's gonna be an envelope that pops up
and you just click it. Well, it doesn't really pop up,
but you'll see the envelope, Click it and get your
letter to us. Anna wrote to us about her husband
Aaron eight years. They've known each other, five years married,
and she loves him. But now she feels like she's
(14:05):
emotionally cheating because she is flirting with a firefighter on socials.
I think it's Instagram. She said he's got muscles, mojo
and a mustache.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
So wait, hold on, you said she loves him.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
She loves her husband, does she?
Speaker 9 (14:22):
I know?
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Gosh right if you're like that tempted, But look, we're
only hearing. This is what I always think of with
the letters. We're only hearing her side of the story.
What if she's not the best wife and Karen is
this amazing husband and she's lucky to have him.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
We don't know, but Anna wants to know she's emotionally
cheating by flirting with the firefighter behind her husband's back.
She thinks about him more than her husband. Laura, thank
you for calling. This happened to you.
Speaker 11 (14:52):
Yes, it did happen to me. He was traveling for
work and I guess we met somebody. I found out
just because I got a voicemail instead of him, and
it was a pretty racy voicemail.
Speaker 9 (15:05):
So I kind of started.
Speaker 11 (15:05):
Looking into it, confronted him to night it completely. He
deleted the voicemail, and then when I started looking into it,
there was text messages back and forth. And when I
finally did confront him at first and night then he
said that yes he had met somebody, but it wasn't cheating.
(15:27):
What he would do is just like to talk about
our problems, like our problems we had, he would discuss
them with her.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Okay, yeah, and he met her online and he said
he stayed online.
Speaker 12 (15:38):
You know, he didn't he met her in person. I
guess they used to work in the same area. Oh yeah,
So this went on for a while.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
He claims nothing physical.
Speaker 12 (15:49):
Nothing physical. For whatever, He's nothing physical. But I think
I caught it right before it was because that voicemail
kind of meant that it was there before.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Laura.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Leading up to this was had your physical sort of stopped,
we had stopped.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Well, listen, you're separated now, Laura, where is this headed?
Are you going to take him back? What are you
going to do?
Speaker 12 (16:17):
No? No, no, no, I'm not No, it's to me.
It was a huge disrespect, you know, because he was
the world to me. He meant everything.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
And Laura, we wish you the best, and you know,
I hope we talk again and that everything is the
dust settles, you know.
Speaker 12 (16:37):
Thank you very much. You know, I got to tell
you guys that I love you guys so much. I've
every day I listened to you, and you make us laugh,
you know, just their situations, you know, to make us cry,
you know. But if you guys are amazing. My kids
absolutely love you. What are going to sleep in the
car because we send in a lot of traffic and
the other ones listening to you.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
We love you, Hi, fam, your family. Thank you, Thanks guys.
Speaker 7 (16:59):
Yeah, all right, it's the LAK Morning Show.
Speaker 9 (17:08):
I love you guys.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Post one three point five one.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Hund of all of our callers, including everyone in the
studio saying Anna is already crossed the line. She's emotionally
cheating on her husband. And because she is, she is.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
And and there's the other first element, Ellen, is that
she's already been shutting down intimacy with her husband.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
She doesn't she's like.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Lying, she's avoiding him, avoiding it.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
That's problem one. Now you're filling that space with the fantasy.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Right, and that's the firefighter, and then she asks, is
this emotionally cheat? She already knows the answer. I think
that sometimes people are looking for Hey, don't worry. It's okay.
You didn't do anything wrong. You can still save your marriage.
You're not a cheater, You're not emotionally you know. I
think I think maybe Anna, I was hoping for that.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (18:01):
Whenever my friends come to me with something like this,
I say, what kind of friend do you want me
to be?
Speaker 9 (18:06):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, yeah? Do you want the truth or do you
want me to just tell you what you want to hear?
Speaker 3 (18:12):
That's a cheating is cheating.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
It's the same thing as the physical cheating is, just
without the cardio, you know, with the cardio. Yeah, it's
got a content Marshall, So of everyone saying it's emotional cheating,
I mean, yeah, it.
Speaker 9 (18:29):
Is emotional cheating. Already. If she's communicating with another man,
and most likely she's probably infatuated with him, if he's
a firefighter, and just she should if she doesn't want
her husband, she should leave him. But if she wants
to make things work, I mean, they should try to reconnect,
maybe going out on dates. Remembering why she falls in
(18:49):
love with him and.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Got him dress up as a firefighter. That would work,
She said, I think about it more than I think
about my husband. He's a firefighter and very rugged, mustache,
muscles and mojo. They're secretly communicating online and that hurts
more than a one time cheat, according to the data
we have.
Speaker 9 (19:08):
So but sometimes it might not even be that guy.
It might be somebody else. He might be catfishing her
just for fun.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Oh you know what, Yeah, I didn't think of that.
Speaker 9 (19:18):
It might be it might be the husband.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Oh wow, okay, are you a scriptwriter?
Speaker 9 (19:27):
No, But I'm just saying I've heard situations where some people.
I saw video where a guy created a fake Kinder
profile to see if his wife would actually cheat, and
and she met, she set up a date and he
was there waiting for her.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Oh all right, so she's got to really do some
self examination here.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
But I mean, if she wants to make things work
with her husband, or if she wants to try to
make that relationship work if they have kids, I mean
I'll just figure go on dates, Yeah, make them, you know,
try to reconnect, create that spark again.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (20:00):
Have a good one.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
It's the Morning Show.
Speaker 9 (20:02):
You guys are the absolute best. You guys bring so
much joy to everybody, including myself and my family. Keep
on doing what you're doing. I love you guys so much.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Post All right, what is it?
Speaker 1 (20:13):
It's ridiculous. It's the happiest hack he for anxiety.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
It is so the next time you're feeling stressed, researchers
saying this is scientifically proven. Literal like behavioral professionals use
this in their practice with people. Narrate your life like
you're hosting a nature documentary.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Seriously, okay. So instead of instead of let's say you
you lost your keys?
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Okay, instead of freaking out going, oh my god, I'm
freaking out, where are my keys? Right, you have to
try to say to yourself, the human is now searching
its natural habitat for the elusive car keys.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Notice the panic setting in.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'm telling you scientifically proven.
By describing yourself from the outside as I, you're creating
mental distance from the stress, which helps calm your nervous system.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
That is so cool.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Instead of I, I, me and meat, look at yourself
and go the human is panicked.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Okay, wait, can you do it for me. So I
shredded my tire, I put the spare on, and now
I don't have a spare, Okay, okay, and I'm really
freaked out about it. I mean, if I hit one pothole,
I'm done. And so I don't have another spare because
I'm on my car. It's like it's the wheel right.
(21:23):
So I feel like, yeah, I really need you right now.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Okay, how about instead of me, I have a famed
voice of many a nature documentary, Sir David Attenborough.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Do you here?
Speaker 14 (21:33):
We observe the small blonde female who has made yet
another crucial error in driving. It appears she's badly damaged
a vital instrument for proper handling of her motor vehicle.
It remains to be seen how she'll pull herself out
of this costly.
