I hear she did great.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
She was so good. And congratulations on your polar plunge.
Speaker 2 (00:47):

Speaker 1 (00:48):
My sister texted me I think it was sometime during
Saturday and said Ryan man O shirtless on Instagram. Go
there now now?

Oh getting up.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
With the.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
And no it's gone.

Oh love.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Nurse Janet. You know she's always looking out for your
health show. What is he doing? Freezing cold? It was
the polar plunge for make Away.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah we did a good thing.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah, a really good thing.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Every thirty three minutes they grant to wish for a
kid in me. So it's cool to be a part
of it.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Cool.

Speaker 4 (01:51):

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Tonight On Fallon. His guests will be the voice actors
who play Roomy and G and K Pop Demon Hunter.
This will be the first joint interview for Art and
Show and on your soap And what about this? Dolly
Parton has to skip her eightieth birthday party. There's going
to be a big party at the Grand ol Opry.
She said, I just wanted to say how much it
means to me. You're all coming together again this year
to celebrate my big old birthday. I wish I could
(02:16):
be there in person, but I'll be sending all my love.
So she cited some health reasons, just not feeling quite herself,
but she did post a video she looked great, all right.
Every major network, Netflix and Amazon have been in contact
with Travis Kelsey to judge his interest in joining their
NFL broadcast team. He doesn't know where he'll be at
the start of the next season. His contract with the Chiefs,
(02:37):
ended with this season is thirteenth. He might return for
his fourteenth or retire to become a talking head on Sundays.
Source told People magazine, quote, discussions are not affecting his
decision whether or not he's returning to football. But I say,
I think that money talks, and maybe he's waiting to
see what the balance will be.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, And if you can do that once every week
instead of getting beat up, Yeah, that makes sense. The
money's comparable, like.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
So sweet, and there's high expectation for him, So that
would be scary as well. Even if you're getting paid,
you know, tons of money, like Tom Brady, he gets
thirty seven million dollars. You guys, he works twenty days
a week.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Okay, hot take here, Tom Brady. I don't think anyone
was a huge fan when he started doing commentary. He
has gotten so good. Yeah, he's one of my favorite
people to listen to now.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
He's really good. I love the way when he demonstrates
how to throw the football.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
He's awesome.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, he's got some good insight and stuff. But when
he's not working those twenty days, that's three hundred and
forty five days for him too. Woe is me about
his relationship and love problems. Hey, one batt laughter another
hamn't at the pit the studio where big winners At
the Golden Globes last night, Nicki Glazer signed off wearing
a spinal tap hat and tribute to Rob Reiner. She
(03:49):
also took a big jab at Sean Penn.
Speaker 5 (03:52):
Sawn, I love you not only such an amazing actor,
but you're such a devoted humanitarian. I mean, I feel
like a lot of actors talk the talk, but Sean
Penn will actually go to the places in the world
that need help the most, and he will do cocaine there,
And I feel like we don't celebrate that at it.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
And she added that while everyone in Hollywood's trying to
turn back the clock, Sean Penn's working on just looking
like an old leather satchel. The guy just got raked
over the coals and he smiled through it. Sean Penn. Okay,
he was in, you know, one battle after another, big
winner last night, and a six year old Duke McLeod
(04:31):
of all her faults, spoke on the Golden Globes red
carpet about his excitement to see his screen mom, Sarah Snook.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Sarah Snook, does she just like your best friend? She
was like really nice to me, like so nice. She
played with me, she left with me. It was so fun.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Oh yeah, And Duke, that's what this show is all about.
We're gonna have so much fun. Giving one thousand dollars
to you. It is your cash on coach.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
It's the L and K morning.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
I wake up to you guys every morning. Thank you
so much for everything you do.
Speaker 4 (05:04):

Speaker 1 (05:06):

a McDonald's arch card.
Speaker 7 (05:15):
Yay, thank you so much. Allen Happy New Year.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Hey you too. We are warming up your morning with
the new extra value meal from McDonald's. It's a sausage
McMuffin with egg, hash browns, a small premium Rose coffee,
all for only six bucks.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Yay.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
You can buy a lot of those with your one
hundred and fifty dollars arch card.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
Lots of coffee, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
What are you doing, Priscilla?
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Come at work? Oh oh what do you do?
Speaker 7 (05:42):
Accounting?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Okay? You usually start this early?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah, I saw at six because I have a long commute.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Oh okay, so you get there early. My son has
a little bit of a commute about three times a week,
and so he does what you do. He likes to
get in there early.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
Oh yeah, you gotta beat the traffic.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah for sure. How long is your commute.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
Usually in our in like fifteen minutes in the morning
and two hours on the way back.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
This arch card's gonna come in real handy if you
get a craving whilst on the road.
Speaker 8 (06:14):

Speaker 1 (06:22):
It's your happiness hack. This is something good that we
can do for our relationship.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Your relationship will benefit from and this is, according to
a new study, a little less labor around the house.
So this research finds that couples who spend money splurge
a little bit on time saving services like takeout, house cleaning,
even dogwalkers report greater relationship satisfaction. The data finds outsourcing
chores freeze up your time for couples to connect and
(06:47):
it reduces your overall stress.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Oh yeah, my husband did for the weekend. Our curb
is crumbling and it's asphalt. Well, he grew up working
a summer job laying asphalt in New Orleans, and so
he's an asphalt expert. So he orders it of Amazon
and he was out there with his little spackle thing.
(07:09):
He first mixed it up and then he asked, faulted
the curb?
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Did it stay like work? And on all the heaven
they have to.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Check this morning. You just did it yesterday morning before football.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Yes, it's impressive.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, I was like wow, But but but to your point, Ryan,
he should have like called heir to someone, Yeah, to
come out. Who's got all the equipment and the and
the asphalte So y'all check it today?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah? Good, keep us posted because sometimes his jobs, you know,
I don't want to knock. He's not in the room
to defend himself. Sometimes a handy man, they fall apart.
But it is going back to this study, is important
that that couples use that reclaimed time intentionally. You can't
just like not you know, then be on your phone
all day or like, you know, you have to spend
that time with your partner.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
They say, waves who don't cook for their husbands are
it's the happiest of marriages.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
What is your what's your one like service that you'll
spend a little bit on.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
I love I don't have it now. I would love
to have someone else to do the cooking, okay, or
delivery or something.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
You ever Instacart sometimes? Yeah? Man, Yeah, that's a time saver.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Big time. I like, it's like moral dilemma for me
because I like going to the store and I just
feel lazy.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
But man, it's fine to walk though.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
And then they message you. They're like, Hi, I'm Ronda.
It's a pleasure to shop for you.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I love you.

White House leaders meeting with Danish officials today about acquiring Greenland,
a Danish territory. President Trump is expressing growing interest in
purchasing Greenland, citing defense purposes. He's also hinting at using
military force to just take it, telling Denmark we can
quote do it the easy way or the hard way.
Even our local coyotes are ready for baseball to be back.
(08:56):
Behind the scenes tour of Dodgers Stadium took a whild
turn literally when coyote casually arrived in the seating area.
A family from Seemi Valley taking some picks and noticed
the animal in the background of their photos several rows away.
It is coyote mating season, and we have been suggesting
to keep an eye out. We don't just expecting to
pull up for some Dodger dogs. For all the frothy

Speaker 5 (09:42):
You're such an original. You know everyone in this town

what if I slowly morph into a sexy leather handbag
and I feel.
Speaker 1 (09:50):

have cash on Coast coming up for you and Bruno
Mars tickets before you can buy them. And of course
we get your letters to Allen.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
She is. Ellen. Gotta letter from Gregory. Thank you Gregory
for writing in. You go to Coast one O three
five dot com, tap that envelope and write us a letter.
I think one of the things I love about the
letters is that the range is so wide. It's everything
(11:15):
from relationships to workmates to this, dear Allen. My friends
have taken it upon themselves to play matchmaker after my divorce.
Because this is why, Gregory. Just a side note, your
friends love you. They want to see you happy. I
was married for six years. I've forgotten how to date
a woman, so I appreciate the help in that department.
(11:36):
I'm fifty three, handsome, athletic, and shy with a six
figure marketing job. Recently, I had a dinner date with Olivia.
She's thirty and the coworker of a friend. She is
stunning all caps like stop and stare pretty. Dinner was great,
conversation flowed, the vibe was genuinely good. No red flags,
no awkward moments. Olivia took an uber to the date,
(12:00):
and so after she invited me to drive her home
and hang out for a bit. So I did. The
second I walked into her condo, my brain shut off.
Empty cans on the floor, scattered Amazon boxes, seven to
eleven cups and wrappers on the floor, piles of clothes
on her dining room chairs. While she was opening a
bottle of wine. I stood at her kitchen island, staring
(12:22):
at a half empty Panda Express container and a sink
full of dishes. I can see this in my mind.
Why was her curling iron on the countertop. My ex
wife always used the bathroom to do her hair. That
right there, there's a flag on the play I think
Olivia's condo wasn't messy in a head along day way.
(12:44):
It was messy in a this is how I live way.
My buddies think I'm nuts because she's so pretty and
seems into me, But I do not want to see
her again, and she's been texting me NonStop. Do I
give her another chance? Call me grateful, Gregory, I don't know.
I don't know. I have friends like this who are
(13:06):
well a friend. She's gorgeous, her car and her bathroom.
Her place are just a mess. So okay, this.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Friend, though, let's think about this. This friend tends to
represent herself in a cluttered way in life.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
My friend, yes, yeah, sometimes, But I mean, if you
were just to see her, no, I know, I know
on the outside you would never think no.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
But my plan is I think physical clutter equals mental clutter.
How we take care of our space is how we
take care of others.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
But Olivia, who has a cluttered condo, was great, Dinner
was great, conversation flowed, the vibe was genuinely good. No
red flags, no awkward moments, So things can be true
at one Sellen, Well, so she's neat and pretty on
the outside, but her place is a mess. Yeah, So
is he harshly judging or should he give it another chance?
His buddies think he's crazy because she's so pretty and
(14:03):
seems into me.
Speaker 8 (14:05):
I think he should give it another chance. It sounds
like she's younger than him. I have a cousin who
is a hot mess, and she's the prettiest and now
her husband, and this has been years.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
She's changed.
Speaker 8 (14:18):
I grew up, she has kids, she keeps her mess clean.
She would have all of her clothes on her bed
in a mountain.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Oh not even like piles, like a mountain mile.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
It was just who she was.
Speaker 8 (14:29):
She was going out. She was here out, barely home, okay,
and she's happily married and good to go.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
I just think Olivia's thirty and Gregory's fifty three.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Okay, that's a big difference.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
That is a difference.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Some people don't mind this and can look past it.
I am one of I'll admit one of those that
could not. Okay, food cartons in the Oh my god, this.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
One got me curling iron on the countertop. I like,
it's all around the food, and then the dining room chairs.
I grew up one of six kids. Our dining room
table was the everything table, and so when I see it,
I get anxious. When I see messes like that because
I used to have to dig through to look for
my coat. Yeah, on the chairs. You know, there's eight
(15:11):
of us in one house. It was like chaotic.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
I'm not kidding. I wouldn't have even drank that wine, wouldn't.
I wouldn't put my lips on the glass.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
He said. My attraction to her disappeared the moment I
saw her. Chass, What should Gregory do? It's eight hundred
ninet two nine kost stand by coming up cash on

Oh, good morning, Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I'm doing good, doing very well.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Had a nice weekend, actually good.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Good good. It's a beautiful Monday morning. Sun is out shining,
and so is Fred. Fred. We want to know what
your guests is, women are better than men when it comes.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
To what I'm going to say, like sibbing, maybe not
quite telling the complete.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Truth, fibbing so lying. Basically, you're saying women are better liars.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
I guess you can put it that way if you want,
probably better coming from you than met.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Have you been lied to by a female?
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Oh I'm sure I have.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
But I'm sure I'm sure I got even though, but.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Fred says fibbing. According to new research, women are better
at fibbing than men. It's a great guess, Fred, no judgment,
but it's not the right answer.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Well, I appreciate you guys, have a wonderful day.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Thank you too. Let's go to Eva in Anaheim. Hi, Eva, Hi,
how are you? Hey? We're doing good. Eva, you are
wheels up, you're on Caitella. Is traffic moving for your commute?
Speaker 7 (17:54):
Oh? I'm almost there?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yeah? Good? Good? What is your guests? Huh? I'm guessing
organizations some more better than fan on that organizing things.
That's a really great guess. It's not the right answer. Oh, okay,
you two, Eva, have a good one. Let's go down
(18:17):
to Irvine. She's Ronda on her way to work.
Speaker 7 (18:20):
Hi, Ronda, Hi, good morning, everybody, Good Monday.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
It's beautiful day. Are you on time?
Speaker 7 (18:27):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (18:28):
All right? Good?
Speaker 7 (18:29):
A little bit early?
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Did you watch the Golden Globes last night? No? Actually
knocked out and I'll uh catch up. Yeah, Timothy Shallon
May went best Actor. He's so adorable. It was really cool, supreme. Well,
so anyway, we just want to know what your guess is.
This for Bruno Mars tickets before you can buy them.
(18:51):
Women are better than men at what I think. We're
better at remembering important date remembering important dates. You know,
my mother did it was so smart when my husband
and I got married. As a gift, she gave us
a spoon holder, you know, ceramic spoon holder to put
next to the stove that has our wedding date on it.
(19:12):
She did it for him. She said, you will never
forget your anniversary because you'll see this every day in
your kitchen. So you say, it's remembering dates and events
and you rhnda are going to see Bruno Mars.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
It's so far you want.
Speaker 7 (19:35):
Thank you so much, so.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
Rhanda.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
You're a first winner for Bruno Mars.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
Amazing.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
Oh I can be the first.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yeah. So according to brand new research, women are better
than men when it comes to remembering events. I don't
know the male female brain. There's so many differences, but
great guesses. And these are Bruno Mars tickets before you
can buy them. One of them was setting alarms or caregiving,
multitasking finding things. I have to say. In my house,
(20:14):
they call me the finder.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Oh they just say where is this?
Speaker 1 (20:17):
And you know I can find Well. First, this is
how it goes with my husband, those twenty minutes of
heavy breathing and you know, expletives and pounding around the house.
Then I say, what's matter, hun, what you're looking for?
And then he like, yesterday it was I'm looking for
the little mini shovel because he was going to spack,
not spackle, but what do you call it? Blacktop? The
(20:40):
curt asphalt he mixed up the asphalt. He couldn't find
a little mini shovel, and I kind of got low
key blamed for it. I said, well, look, I know
that I use it a lot, but I haven't touched it.
It's hanging in the little lemon tree. It's hanging on
a brand because I already looked there, it's not there. Yeah,
(21:00):
And I said, I swear it's there. I just saw
it there. In fact, follow me, I did you?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
I was going to say, did you do the follow me?
So you could show him.
Speaker 7 (21:08):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
So we walk out to the lemon tree where I
have like the little hose spray thing. It's got really
cool branches, so I hang things on there. And there
it was two of them, two of the little garden shovels,
sitting right there, just right at eye level. And he said, well,
I looked here and I didn't see it because that's
where he knows. That's where I always keep it. But
(21:30):
women are so good at finding things. So what did
you say after I said I'm the finder? I am
you lose something? You call me? I used to bribe
my tongue and hold my breath and kid, Hi, this
is Taylor Swift right, this is that sheron. Hey, this
is Seleni Gomez with the llen K Morning Show. The
ellen K Morning Show on Coast, one of three top
(21:52):

Here on your Monday, January twelfth, and following our recent
record rainfall, our Mayor Karen Bass says more than twenty
five hundred potholes have been repaired across our city. It
may not seem that way on your commute, but officials
are getting nearly ninety reports per day, lots of catching
up today to do, and the Bureau of Street Services
(22:13):
says they've dedicated additional resources to address all the damage
caused by those storms. And did you see that super
bright streak of light across our Southland skies this weekend?
The American Meteor Society has confirmed it was an actual fireball,
a meteor brighter than any star or planet, different than

Angeles coast one o three point five, big hour ahead

Speaker 4 (24:13):
He's see Ellenky Morning Show.
Speaker 7 (24:14):
I love it. You guys are my morning happiness.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 5 (24:21):
She is Ellen.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Man.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Thank you for writing to us. We're the ollen K
Morning Show. I'm Ellen, I'm Ryan Manow, I'm Social Queen Darling,
and that producer Mike Grandmos and we come together every
morning and wake up with you and we love it.
Thank you for being here. Welcome to our new listeners.
And you can write us a letter to Ellen to
anything on your mind. I love the range of topics
that we get when you write us a letter. It
(24:46):
can be from everything from a school bully to a
relationship problem. Well I guess that is one, to a
co worker situation. This one comes from Gregory. Dear Ellen,
my friends have taken it upon themselves to play matchmaker
after my divorce. I was married for six years and
I've forgotten how to date women, so I appreciate the
(25:08):
help in that department. I'm fifty three, handsome, athletic and
shy with a six figure marketing job. Recently had dinner
a dinner date with Olivia. She's thirty and the coworker
of a friend. She is stunning, stop and stare pretty.
Dinner was great, conversation flowed, the vibe was genuinely good.
No red flags. Olivia took an uber to the date,
(25:31):
and so after she invited me to drive her home
and to hang out for a bit. So I did.
The second I walked into her condo, my brain shut off.
Empty cans on the floor, scattered Amazon boxes, seven eleven
cups and wrappers on the floor, piles of clothes on
her dining room chairs. While she was opening a bottle
of wine. I stood at her kitchen island staring at
a half empty Panda Express container and a sink full
(25:53):
of dishes. Also, why was her curling iron on the countertop?
My ex always used the room to do her hair.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Do you ever curl your hair in the kitchen?
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Olivia's condo wasn't messy in a head along day way,
it was messy and this is how I live way.
I made an excuse to leave after a quick drink
and haven't messenger since she's been texting asking what's wrong.
But my attraction to her disappeared the moment I saw
her chaos. Am I shallow for this? My buddies think
I'm crazy because she's so pretty and seems into me.
(26:28):
Do I give her another chance? Can't hate? Can't wait?
Or hey to hear what your listeners say, call me
grateful Gregory. All right, Gregory, we read your letter. The
phones exploded with comments and advice for you. But let's
go to Orange County right now, Amber, what should Gregory do?
Speaker 7 (26:49):
Gregory should absolutely run. Imagine what she would do to
his plate after a date or if she ever moved
here in she said, as fast as I possibly can
find someone closer to his age.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
It's like a new puppy. But you can train new puppies, yes.
Speaker 7 (27:08):
Yeah, you. I don't know if you can train someone
like that who lives in phil.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
I wonder though, if she even Some people are just like,
does she even know it's a mess?
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Like?
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Is that a mess to her?
Speaker 7 (27:22):
Yeah? And also imagine if she's fine with that, what
is her grooming like? Gees, she cut her nose? You know,
it's just it's all disgusting.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
Yes, well, Gregory said, I made an excuse to leave
after a quick drink and haven't messaged her since. She's
been texting asking what's wrong? Am I shallow for this?
Speaker 7 (27:40):
No?
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (27:42):
No?
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Run? Okay, well you said it, thank you?
Speaker 7 (27:45):
Run? Thank you?
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Bye? All right? Amber, Amber in her car, she thinks
Gregory should run. There's no changing a thirty year old Olivia.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
It's a good point, but is there?
Speaker 1 (27:59):
I mean, you know, she's obviously she lives on our own.
And the red flag that stood out to me is
that she knowingly invited him over because the date went
so well. Which is great that the date went so well,
But she knows what she left behind when she left
that door?
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Or does she?
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Or does she? Or I mean, I don't know how
you can't realize that, You're like, when you walk through
your door, you kick a seven to eleven cover, I
do not, No, you know, do you leave a half
eaten Panda express box and a curling iron on the
countertop and then invite a guy over? And if she
(28:39):
wanted the date to continue, hey, what about this? How
about let's make another date? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Or just leaving wanting more? Do like a little kissing
the car.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
You know, and thank you forgiving me right home?
Speaker 2 (28:50):
That's it? Or just uber home and then yeah, can't
wait to see you again, and then start cleaning like
you've never cleaned before.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
But Ryan, if she doesn't realize she's living in such
a waller school, I like this one. They'll close on
the dining room chairs because we used to do that
at my house. I grew up, you know, six kids
in a house. There's eight people in a house, and
we used to just throw our stuff, and I mean,
my mom would get so frustrated. But our dining room
(29:18):
table was right like you come into the entryway, there's
the living room and the dining room straight ahead. We
would just throw our stuff there and I don't know how,
I don't know, it would just pile up like that.
So I kind of I know what Olivia's thinking is
just that she invited a guy over.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Yeah, and that's stuff that's that's closed. That's a family's clutter, right,
you draw a line at food when things are growing
on things and cartons in the sink.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
But also, she's living alone. It's not like she's eight
people in her condo, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
So it's even worse.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Yeah, Well, we love your calls letters to Ellen. We
also love giving you cash. We have double the money
coming up. We've got cash on coast and your greatest
New Year ever. So that's coming up one thousand times two.
The Ellen Cabrding Show past one of three point five.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
The guys are great.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
The ellen K Morning Show on Coast one oh three

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Big old Golden globes. It was fun watching Nicki Glazer,
Ryan's former roommate good friend post again for her second
year in a row. The studio the pitt Hamnet. One
battle after another, big winners, one battle after another, winning
four golden globes. One of those winners. If you've seen
the movie, you know how great she is. Tianna Taylor
(30:45):
getting best supporting actress, lads, but most importantly to my
brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight. Our sulkness
is not a liability. Our depth is not depth.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
It's not too much.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Our light does not.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Need missions to Sean. We belong in every room we

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space. Thank you
so much, everybody.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Yeah, crying through her speech. It was so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
You know she choreographed Beyonce's Ring the Alarm video when
she was only fifteen years old.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
I didn't know that fifteen years old.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
She was Beyonce's choreographer.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Oh my god, Yeah, she's incredible. I love her and
All's fair with Kim Kardashian and also Glenn Close on that.
She's just amazing Tianna Taylor. Then she went to the
after party. She traded her heels for some really cool
looking flats. Stars partying all night long at Chateau Marmont
(31:39):
and also at Spago. This was adorable on the red carpet.
Duke McLeod is six years old. He's in All Her Fault,
a great movie. He spoke on that red carpet about
his excitement to see his screen mom.
Speaker 6 (31:52):
Sarah, does she just like your best friend? She was
like really nice to me, like so nice if we
played with me she left with me? Is so fun.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Good morning, Coach one of three point five, thank you
for being up with us. And Ellen there's Ryan Hey,

all of our new listeners. Here on the Ellen k
Morning Show, every Monday and Wednesday, we read your letters
to Ellen.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Right to Ellen for advice, because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
She is Ellen, and this one from Gregory. He says,
I can't wait to hear what your listeners say. Ellen.
Please read my letter. Dear Ellen, our friends have taken
it upon themselves to play matchmaker after my divorce. I
was married for six years. I've forgotten how to date women,
So I appreciate the help in that department. Do men
(33:00):
forget how to date women? Like, say, you're in a
long term location?
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:05):
No, no, yeah, my do been in a relationship for
fourteen years.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
I'd be lost these days.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
I wouldn't know where to start.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
But it's not because you forgot, it's because dating's changed
that too.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Okay, so okay, So he appreciates his friends jumping in
to help him. Gregory goes on, I'm fifty three, handsome, athletic,
and shy, with a six figure marketing job that I love. Recently,
I was fixed up on a dinner date with Olivia.
She's thirty and the coworker of a friend. She is stunning,
stop and stare pretty. Dinner was great, conversation flowed, no
(33:38):
red legs, no awkward moments. So Olivia took an uber
to the date, and after she invited me to drive
her home and hang out for a bit at her condo.
So I did. The second I walked into her place,
my brain shut off. Empty cans on the floor, scattered
Amazon boxes, seven to eleven cups and wrappers on the floor,
piles of clothes on her dining room chairs. While she
(34:01):
was opening a bottle of wine. I stood at her
kitchen island staring at a half empty Panda Express container
and sinkful of dishes. Also, why was her curling iron
on the countertop. My ex wife always used the bathroom
to do her hair. Olivia's condo wasn't MESSI in a
head along day way. It was messiona this is how
I live. Whey. I made an excuse to leave after
(34:21):
a quick glass of wine. I haven't messaged her since,
and she's been texting asking what's wrong? Am I shallow
for this? My attraction to her disappeared the moment I
saw her chaos. My buddies think I'm crazy because she's
so pretty. I can't wait to hear what your listeners say. Gregory,
So did he get the ick that fast over one
(34:42):
thing he did? He did? Should he give her another chance?
As a guy? Ryan, what do you think give her
another chance? Now?
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Now there's a lot of pretty girls who don't live
in utter filth?
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Mike, what do you say? I say no. And remember,
how you do one thing is how you do everything.
So that's how she's living. This is going to resurface
another areas of her life.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
That's right, Mike.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
How you do one thing is how you do Everything's true.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
And then my brain, I don't know if everyone else is,
My brain goes, when's the last time she washed her sheets?
Speaker 1 (35:09):
And panda?
Speaker 7 (35:11):
Come on?
Speaker 1 (35:11):
That's my god?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Think did she ever? Does she vacuum?
Speaker 1 (35:15):
You guys? He just wants to know if you should
see her? Go there, pass, let's go to Valencia. Susan,
what do you think Gregory should do?
Speaker 7 (35:25):
You know what, Ellen, I think he should give her
a chance. Don't judge her by that panda blox that
he saw, or that curly and iron on the counter.
I see this all the time, and I just think
some people it's just not their priority in the moment,
But it doesn't necessarily mean that they are a dirty person.
They're just not in the moment. Well, like I said,
(35:48):
I see this all the time. You know, people when
it comes to their house, it's just not something that
they want to deal with, you know. But yet when
it comes to their person, they are totally on top
of it.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
I understand that Susan, this is my this is my
red flag, is that she invited him over fully knowing
or not even realizing that she lives in a pig sty.
Speaker 7 (36:10):
But I also think maybe she didn't think the date
was going to go as great as it did, and
she just she didn't think it was going to go
that way, and it did go that way, so it
didn't it didn't matter to her weatherhouse. Look like, have
him give her a second chance. Maybe that second date,
you go to her house again and see if she
hasn't taken care of it. Then I think she's answered
his own question.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Thank you, Susan, have a great day.
Speaker 7 (36:32):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Okay Worth another spin, another spin of the hit record,
and then see if if it's that bad his friends
think he's crazy. Olivia got it going on?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Not neat to curl your hair in the kitchen I've
never done of thoughts.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
It's the L and K Morning Shell.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
It's great listening to you every day.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
You guys write my day Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
I'll be back again tomorrow morning with more music, money
and fun. You've got Bruno Mars tickets before. You can
buy them with the L en KQ and A also
cash on Coast and double cash in the eight. So wanta,
I'm kind of leaking with cash. We're talking about that
word the other day, how leak is It's not It's
not a pleasant word unless you're leaking with cash.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Like we are. There's a lot of other words. I
still would have picked up.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
And Evelyn Arive's coming up next. She's in for Carrie Steeles.
Carrie steel not steals, She steals your heart though. Okay,
So happy birthday to you if you are celebrating today.
Like our friend Jeff Bezos, I'll never forget being at
a Loyola High School away game. Jeff and his now
(37:45):
wife Lauren Sanchez landed by helicopter in a field not
far away. They walked into the game. They came in
with their own snacks, gluten free, and his knees were
in my back because you know, bleachers, they're like that,
and so he was laughing the whole time. They were
having so much fun eating their gluten free snacks. And
(38:09):
then I feel this tug at my hoodie and my
neck kind of popped back. He goes, I'm so sorry.
I just I had to your price tag was still on.
Oh it was my birthday and it was a sweatshirt
that had been given to me and it still had
the price tag on it. So he snapped off my
tag and he said, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
I just drive me crazy. I can't keeping at this.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
And then he laughed like this, and then we laughed
and everyone was laughing at his laugh. And he's the
quote of the day. Jeff Bezos says, your brand is
what people say about you when you're not in the room.
Kiss on three, kiss on me one two three, Whatt's
(39:03):
you fall from? Make
