Speaker 3 (00:11):
Hey, good morning, Happy Friday. Let's get this day going
and thank you for waking it up with us. We
love it.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
I'm ellen K, I'm Ryan Mana, I'm Social Queen Darling
and I produced to Mike Ramos, and together we make
the ellen K Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
We've got cash for you, We've got Bruno Mars for you,
and just a fun Friday. It's a feel good Friday.
We have so many field goods. We have a feel
good for Melissa, a teacher also a retired doctor, is
giving up part of her body to save another life.
If there's anything great that's been happening in your life,
this is your destination. We want to hear about it,
because when you tell us on the radio, it spreads
(00:46):
the field good.
Speaker 5 (00:47):
Yeah, what's cooking for you this weekend? I already know.
I I just want to hear you say it.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I will see my son in real life. Yeah, we FaceTime,
we talk, we text, but there's nothing like just being
in his presence. I can't wait. So I we'll be
visiting Calvin. It's say mommy son weekend.
Speaker 6 (01:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Nice. So we're gonna, you know, do some things. We'll
make our target run. I always love that. I end
up doing a deep clean always, and I already present
some of the cleaning materials. I got scrubbing bubbles so smart.
And I got some pillow fills because they have a
sofa and they bought like the pillow covers but not
(01:28):
the inserts. Yeah, so I'll be doing stuff like that.
I can't wait.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
Yeah. Will you guys watch football together?
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Well, you know we will. The Niners are in Seattle
at five o'clock, so we'll be there and I know
you'll be watching football too.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Right Sunday, guys, the Rams and Bears.
Speaker 7 (01:43):
I feel like I don't know. I mean, I feel
like we haven't talked about it enough. I love living
in La but I'm a Bears fan in my heart.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
And my bones.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I'm gonna ram it.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
I'm not ramming it. The Bears are gonna ram you.
Speaker 8 (01:54):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Coast one O three point five with the ellen k
Morning Show. Follow us at Coast one O three five.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
We want to say thank you for being here with
us on the L and K Morning Show. We also
want you to help us thank a teacher. We all
remember those teachers who made an impact and you'll just
never forget them. For me, as mister odin physics eighth grade,
we had to take it. It was a required class,
and I just remember this guy was just always smiling.
(02:24):
He was kind of you know, he's a little chubby,
curly hair and a big smile, and I was so
scared of physics and he made it fun. And you
know what he told me because he knew that my
dad is a math professor. He said, you know what,
physics aren't for everyone. Yeah, but he saw me. He
(02:45):
got it. Yeah, and you always bond with that teacher
who gets it. Who is yours?
Speaker 9 (02:51):
Rhyme?
Speaker 5 (02:51):
I mean, there's so many great ones like one.
Speaker 7 (02:53):
As you're telling that story about yours, I remember mister
Kessler was and I wasn't good at math. But this guy,
you guys, he drew a perfect circle, okay, with chalk
on a chalkboard, drew it and he goes like he
knew a baseball player hits a home run and they
just know that he knew and he had it certified and.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
It was no circle.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Come on, did he get like in some kind of
record book certified?
Speaker 5 (03:16):
He called in like, whoever certifies perfect circle?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
That's amazing, great, it's amazing. That is an amazing teacher,
mister Kessler.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
Mister Kessler, and god, I just dropped the chalk like boom,
that's it.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
What a feeling. I know, Charlene, who's yours.
Speaker 10 (03:33):
Well, I've had so many great teachers, but now that
I'm a parent and I am experiencing teachers from the
perspective of a parent, I want to thank my daughter's teacher,
Miss Solorio. She's also her case manager. So when you
have a student that has special needs, you have a
lot of teachers and one teacher is chosen to be
(03:54):
your main case manager teacher. So not only is she
managing Belli's case, but she's also trying to teach her
daily life skills. And every year we meet during our
IEP and our family has gone through an interesting challenge
recently where my son moves schools and now he's going
to school where my daughter goes to school. Well, he's
(04:17):
in a transitionary state where he's trying to meet people,
and she just she's a mom and she just treated
him the way you treat your kids like she invited
him every time every day, come in for lunch, we
have food, come and eat, hang out. I have a microwave.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Whatever you need. My classroom's yours, and she your family's
taken care of it. She's taking the lead.
Speaker 10 (04:39):
And she really has gone above and beyond for our family,
and I really appreciate that. And now you know, my
son has made friends and has felt comfortable moving off,
but he knows that missal Oreos class is there, and
like the cheerleaders, the other football players, they all hang
out and it's just like you can't find I haven't
(05:01):
experienced it in all these years, and to hear about it,
I just I wish the world for her. Like nice,
I want her to win a jackpot.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Okay, let's go, and who's it for you, Producer Mike.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
For me, it's easy Miss Brown as a twelve year
old boy, fifth grader, she was just.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Fun to look at.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
She was a look that. There are songs about that.
All right, Well, iHeart it wants you to thank a teacher.
So it's iHeart Radios thank a teacher, And we are
going to call today's teacher the day we got submissions,
we drew a name coming up next.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Coast one of three point five The Ellen k Morning
Show stream us on the iHeart Radio app.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
We all remember that one teacher who made a difference.
It is iHeart Radios Thank a Teacher, twenty twenty sixth edition.
Speaker 7 (05:49):
Yeah, we were just talking about our favorite teachers. I
would be remiss to not mention mister Townshend. He was
my shop teacher, tea baby. He didn't love my impression
of him, but it was really good. If I and
I can still do.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
It, O, can you do it?
Speaker 8 (06:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (06:01):
I would say, all right, now for Friday, you're gonna need.
Speaker 7 (06:04):
Two bags, two rags, two pencils, and a ruler.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Well, if you have a teacher like who tea baby
tea Baby, all right, you can nominate. All you've got
to do is go to iHeartRadio dot com slash teachers
and thank a Teacher. Okay, we're gonna make a call
right now. We got a submission. Oh, I get so
nervous about this.
Speaker 7 (06:29):
And by the way, before it rings, big big thank
you to donors choose. They're powering iHeart Radios.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Thank a Teacher. Thank you Donors Choose.
Speaker 9 (06:36):
Hello, Hello, Hi.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Is this Alyssa. Yes, it is hi, Alissa Gonzalez. This
is the llen K Morning Show. How are you?
Speaker 9 (06:44):
I'm good? How are you hey?
Speaker 3 (06:45):
We're doing great. It is thank you teacher twenty twenty six.
And I just want you to know that you were
nominated and chosen to be in the running for some
spectacular prizes. But we just wanted to let you know
that you were nominated by a guy named Hudson, one
of your students last year. Oh my gosh, can I
(07:10):
read you? Can I read you? What does mom wrote? Yes?
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Please?
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Okay? My son. Hudson had Miss Gonzales for fourth grade
last year, and she created an environment that made the
kids feel safe, both physically and mentally. Although she was
in her last year of grad school, she never put
her dedication to teaching on the back burner. She made
her students her top priority. Her dedication extends even outside
the classroom, taking time out to support and attend my
(07:38):
son's basketball game over the summer, even though he moved
on to the next grade. She is the epitome of
a true leader and deserves to be recognized. And Alyssa,
we just want to say thanks for all you do.
Speaker 9 (07:49):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Liberty Elementary School's lucky to have you.
Speaker 9 (07:56):
Ah, that's so good.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
You do you still keep up with Hudson? Does he
come by and say, Hi.
Speaker 9 (08:04):
Well he's gone now he switched schools, So yeah, I
do get texts from his mom. But yeah, I always
tell my kids every year. I'm like, if you have practices,
if you have games, even if it's during the week
or the weekend, if you give meet an advanced notice,
I will go to any and everything I've been to,
like parents' surprise, his birthday parties and get us. I'll
(08:27):
go to anything and everything. I want them to know
that I love them in and outside the classroom.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Oh that's so important. Well, you're making an impact of
his Gunzalez and you're in the running. We're going to
be making a drawing later for five thousand dollars to
stock your classroom. But we just want you to know
you were nominated, You were you were drawn, You are
in the running, and we can't wait and we are
keeping our fingers crossed.
Speaker 9 (08:51):
Wow, that just oh my gosh, I made my life.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
You'll have to find Hudson and his family and tell
them how surprised you are.
Speaker 9 (09:00):
Seriously, I'm totally gonna call them later.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Oh we can hear you right now. We'll let you go.
Speaker 9 (09:05):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Cost one three point five The ellen K Morning Show
Text us anytime at five one oh three five.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
And it is coast. One of three point five were
the llen K Morning Show. You're sneaking up on your
cash first one of the day. I'm ellen K.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Hi, I'm Ryan Mano.
Speaker 10 (09:23):
No, I'm Social Quean Darling.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Good morning, I'm producing Mic Gromos.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
We gotta talk about this infight barbecue. What a mess?
I know. My husband's like, this is amazing. American Airlines
partnered with the Pecan Lodge in Pecan. Do you say Picano?
Pecan called Pecan Lodge in Dallas to provide barbecue on
some flights. I think that that's such a bad idea.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Oh what's wrong with that?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
It's gonna be all over your fingers and then you're
gonna touch things and it's gonna be sticky. It's gonna
be a mess. And also you have to smell. You
smell like barbecue after barbecue.
Speaker 5 (09:53):
You guys are not using a smoker on the plane.
They're gonna bring it in trade.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Exactly, and it's gonna be what hot or cold it's
gonna be. It's going to be hot, and it's going
to be steaming, and the steam rises up and that's
the smell in the airplane. I don't know why men
don't think this through. I love it. I don't every
guy's like, oh great, then we have to clean it up.
Speaker 9 (10:17):
Thank God, it's time, Thank God, it's.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
It is a feel good Friday. And coming up next
we're going to go inside entertainment a lot of feel
goods there, Sabrina Carpenter set in a record. Also, I
went to a friend's wake yesterday right here at Forest Lawn.
It's right here behind us. And he is a comedian
who passed from cancer at a young age. Pat Finn,
(10:54):
our good friend Ryan, you know, I'm darling you, and
he's he was in the middle for ten years. That
show also part of Chicago's Second City. And there are
prayer cards they handed out, and his widow, Donna, the
kids were all there, and so I want to read
the prayer. It's a feel good prayer. And since he's
(11:16):
a comedian, it has to do with that as well.
So that is coming up do not miss it on
your feel Good Friday next.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Coast one O three point five. Catch the Ellen k
Morning Show on demand on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Post one of three.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Point five Inside Entertainment with Ellen.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
King Well, I Love this. The E Network is developing
a reality show for canceled celebrities to redeem themselves. The
creator of Becoming Uncanceled pledged to never cast criminals. It's
supposed to be fun with a little of the serious
nature of getting themselves back on track. Think like former
Bachelor host Chris Harrison or Ellen DeGeneres, people who just
fell out of favor for maybe things they said, but didn't,
(11:54):
you know, go too far with crimes. Avatar's box office
run is about to end twenty eight years later. The
Bone Temple is predicted to earn twenty million dollars or
more for the MLK holiday weekend. Avatar Fire and Ash
trending toward a a few million dollars less than the
Bone Temple. The Golden Globe winner for Drama, Hamnet will
expand to five hundred theaters as well. So if you
(12:15):
didn't see that, it's like the prequel to Hamlet, it's
the sign of Hamlet. Hamnet. What about this? Fans noticed
that Nick Jonas left the Golden Globes early, allegedly because
he was having a panic attack, and he was having
the panic attack because so many of his exes were
seated right next to him. Miley Cyrus that's one. Number
(12:36):
two Selena Gomez that was a serious, long term and
then number three Kate Hudson. She was just a fling.
But still they were all like he was in the
middle and they were all around him.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
You know, no offense to me, But may that be
our biggest problem? Yeah? No, lord.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
A source said that Nick's sought professional help for panic attacks.
His anxiety, though, has escalated. These attacks are happening more frequently.
It's writening even for him. Kelly Clarkson had a shark
named after her. A wife and husband have written a
children's book about the value of sharks in the ecosystem.
They went on a research expedition to tag sharks and
one of them got tagged and named Kelly Sharkson.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Oh that's cool.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
I love That's so cute. Okay, And what about this?
Asap Rocky, he is going to be the musical act
for this weekend's SNL. Also Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard
will be hosting, and that's going to be a great one.
Asaf Rocky also said that his mom always wanted him
(13:36):
to marry Rihanna. Let me tell you something, mam, and
know's best the first time, the first day they went
on with my now husband Roy, she met him and said,
you're going to marry him? How did she know? How
did asap Rocky's mother know? He talks about it.
Speaker 11 (13:51):
I know you like this girl that you would right now.
I ain't going to say no names, but I want
you with reread. It's like, Mom, why you keep saying that? Yeah,
that girl don't even like won me like that?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Like? But cool?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Mom?
Speaker 11 (14:05):
Like that's just my friend show. I'm telling you she
Brew and mother's no best.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
And now re Rey, what's his fourth baby? And here
she is close to one of three point five? How
would you like breakfast on us? It is McDonald's. It's
a one hundred dollars McDonald's gift card. It's called an
arch card. Wore up your morning with a new extra
value meal from McDonald's sausage McMuffin with egg, hash brown
(14:35):
small hot coffee, all for only six dollars at McDonald's.
But we've got one hundred and fifty dollars for you
to warm up your morning. All you have to do
is call us. Call her twenty at eight hundred ninet
two nine Kost Ryan Mana likes to stick the hash
brown into the sandwich.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
Don't knock it till you try it. In fact, we
had some of our friends from McDonald's here yesterday.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, Maddie came by. She used to be an intern
on this show. Yeah, and now she's running a bunch
of mcdonal donald's.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
And two of the McDonald's teammates that were accompanying her
had never heard of putting your hashprunt on the sandwich.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
And also Maddie herself advised against it.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
I mean she only works there.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Well, she kind of owns them. Y you knew you
all right? Yes, it feel good Friday. We want you
to feel good. It's one hundred and fifty dollars McDonald's
arch card. So just call us now. Just from being
up early with us and listening, it's eight hundred ninet
two nine. Kost. Let's get happy. It's your happiness hack.
(15:33):
What is it so a little extra getting what? What
you paid for.
Speaker 7 (15:38):
Yes, I think it's an objective universal truth that we
want at least what we pay for. You always skimped,
you know, right, And I was thinking about this Ellen.
This whole segment doing happiness hacks, which we've been doing
for year, started out of sharing this tip that if
you if you make eye contact with the people at
Panda Express, yes, as they're scooping your orange chicken, and
(15:58):
you maybe even make a noise like they'll just keep scooping,
they give you more.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
And we tried it out. We work in the field,
and it's been scientifically proven to work.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
And then people were like, what else you got, you know,
and so it just became a thing. So check this out.
You know, you're in the little assembly line at Chipotle.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Okay, okay, you.
Speaker 7 (16:16):
Want you want to scoops of you want a double
portion of meat. You do not play your hand early
and tell them you're getting too so the first scoop
isn't compromised by the knowledge that you're going.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
To so they scoop the chicken or the steak.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
They're taught, they're trained at chiple to just you know,
don't go so heavy on the portions. You just say oh,
and then when they're done with that, you go, oh,
can I get too scoops?
Speaker 5 (16:38):
That pristine, untouched first scoop of me?
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Okay, and then you get a second that is just
as comparable.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
That's it?
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Possibly yeah okay? And then does that work for the
guak too it wor yes?
Speaker 9 (16:50):
All right?
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Do you pay extra?
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Yeah? But yes, but never tell them ahead of time
what you're planning.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
All right, okay, so that's a land yap. It's a
little extra eye contacted panda express. And then wait for
the first scoop to ask for the second bingo at cho.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Good Fridays happen here on the llen K Morning Show
Coast one O three point five, and.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
It is Coast one on three point five with the
ellen K Morning Show.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
Mellan, I'm Ryan Mano, I'm Social.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Clean Darling, and I'm producing my radma. Thank you for
waking it up with us every single morning. I could
not get this feeling out of my heart ever since
yesterday went to a wake of a really good friend.
Every morning when this family here in the valley would
wake up, they'd have us on their radio, and they
still continue to do. Sue so without one of the
(17:41):
family members there, and that is Pat Finn. So Donna
and their son Ryan, who's my son Calvin's age. We
grew up with them. Caitlin, you got Cassidy, who's named
after her dad's middle name. All having to move on,
so we all lose people that we love and it's
(18:04):
tough to get through. So Pat's week was last night.
And if you know Pat Finn, you probably know how
to laugh until your stomach hurts. That's the kind of
guy he was. And so his funeral is today. And
I normally wouldn't share things like this, but when I left,
(18:25):
I took one of the cards that has a little
boy picture of Pat Finn on it, and it says
Patrick Cassidy Finn in loving memory, and he just passed
from cancer not too long ago. So as we're leaving,
I turned the card over and my husband and I
looked at this. It's the Clowns Prayer, and I want
to read it to you because that does it feel good.
(18:47):
And it goes like this, as I stumbled through this
life helped me to create more laughter than tears, dispense
more happiness than gloom, spread more cheer than despair. Never
let me become so indifferent that I'll fail to see
the wonder in the eyes of a child or the
twinkle in the eyes of the aged. Never let me
forget that. My total effort is to cheer people, make
(19:07):
them happy, and forget, at least momentarily, all the unpleasantness
in their lives. And in my final moment, may I
hear you whisper when you made my people smile? You
made me smile. That's so Pat. Yeah, very such a
pet fin. He's such a big Bears fan. The Bears
are playing tomorrow. The Pope has blessed the pairs the Bears.
(19:30):
Pat did get to see the Bears pull off that
clutch wind not too long ago, and he was so happy,
and so I know he died happy and peacefully. Won't
miss you, Pat. What a beautiful morning it is. And
we're the only Kim Morning show. It's Coach one, a
three point five happy, feel good Friday. It's also a
(19:51):
watch up watch him, so many great things for you
to watch and everything. So then we bring you our
favorites every Friday morning at this time, Shall I kick
it off?
Speaker 5 (20:06):
You shall?
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Okay? Well, the rip is out. It dropped at midnight
last night on Netflix. It's a crime thriller starring Matt
Damon and Ben Affleck. This is a movie, not a series.
So you're in, you're out, you go on your way.
I love Matt Damon and Ben Affleck being back together again. Yes,
they're just they've always remained best friends. They were roommates
at one time, and they support each other. And now
(20:29):
that they have kids and families and you know Ben
with ex wives, Matt not. They just I know they've
grown up together and we've grown up alongside them. So
if you love classic seventies cop thrillers, you'll really love this.
Think Serpico or Prince of the City or Heat. So
this is suspenseful and it all happens in Miami, and
(20:52):
it's cartel involved. Matt and Ben are investigators. Anyway, they
go and they want to find this captain who has
gone missing, and they find twenty million dollars in cartel money.
Now from there, it's a tale of temptation and trust.
Oh boy, So Tianna Taylor's in this. You just saw
at the Golden Globe. It's an amazing cast, an amazing script.
(21:15):
It's called The Rip. It's on Netflix. Isn't this the movie.
Speaker 10 (21:17):
You told us that the team can potentially qualify for
a bonus depending on the numbers that they get from
us watching.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Yeah, Matt and Ben set up their own film company,
and so anyone who worked on this film, cast and crew,
as the film does, well, they benefit. That's too cool.
They saw they wanted everyone to have equal sharing in
the revenue. So yeah, Darth, I want to watch it
just for that. Just yeah, So watch the Rip on Netflix.
It's out now.
Speaker 10 (21:45):
I've been excited because Gray's Anatomy. They're still in their
season twenty two. Oh my god, but they're back from
their winter hiatus and I didn't know that last week.
So I have two episodes to look forward to. And
we were all left on a cliffhanger where doctor Joe
Wilson she's pregnant with twins. They left us on a
major cliffhanger. She has the babies and there is major problems. Okay,
(22:09):
So now we're figuring out what's going on with these
babies and with doctor Joe. Her health is in jeopardy.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Okay, Well, fingers crossed for Doctor Jos on Hulu.
Speaker 10 (22:19):
You can watch that.
Speaker 9 (22:20):
Awesome.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
I'm going over to Netflix. This one's called eleven twenty
two sixty three, and it starts James Franco and he
has this elderly friend who owns a diner. The friend
tells him go into closet and take a look around,
come back out, and if you have any questions, feel
free to ask. So he does, right, He jumps into
the closet and he transports himself into nineteen sixty You.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
Guys, ye, come back out.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Has a million questions, of course, and his friend says, hey,
your job is to go back in time and prevent
the assassination of JFC.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
It's so good, it's so thrilling.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
I was hooked from the beginning. There's eight episodes out
on Netflix right now, eleven twenty two sixty three. Of course,
the day the JFK hit happened, and I was hooked.
My wife is hooked. I'm hooked. It's a total dad watch.
But everybody's gonna like that.
Speaker 5 (23:04):
Oh I can't late.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Okay, that's on Netflix.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
Yeah, yeah, same Netflix. We're staying there.
Speaker 7 (23:09):
Marcello Hernandez, how likable, What a great cause. I mean,
he's twenty eight years old. He was the first ever
gen Z cast member of SNL. His character Domingo instant
Hit and his impression of Sebastian Maniscalco Banana Land.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
It's so good.
Speaker 7 (23:25):
Well, I am happy to report that Netflix has given
Marcelo his first comedy special. It's a stand up special.
It's out now. It's called American Boy. Marcello shared stories
of his Latino roots, from unhinged family dance offs to
his mom's unforgettable, unconventional life lessons, and what it's like
to grow up with all women.
Speaker 8 (23:42):
When you grow up with women in your house, you
learn a lot very fast. I have seen too much.
A woman getting ready to leave the house is one
of the most violent scenes I've never witnessed in my
entire life. The bathroom of a woman that's getting ready
to leave the house is not a bathroom anymore. That
is Dexter's level.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
Marcelo Hernandez. We need laughter more than ever right now.
It's called American Boy. It is on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Continues next here on the L and K Morning Show
Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Let's go to Bruno Mars. That's so fine. You can
be there and you will do it. You will have
the right answer to our question and you will go.
It's feel Good Friday. Let's make you feel good with
some Bruno Mars the Romantic tour. He keeps on adding dates.
You guys, do to high demand. We could probably have
(24:35):
this guy on the road at least as long as
Taylor Swift.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
It's almost inconceivable that he broke Taylor's records for most
pre sale tickets.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I know, it's hard to even imagine that shut down
ticket agencies. Well, look, we're hungry for him. His first
stadium tour ever and his first album in ten years
that drops in February. But he's got his song out
I just might, so he's gonna kind of tease us
and give it to us a little at a time.
But we've got those tickets for you right now with
(25:04):
your llen KQ and A. This is how it works.
We asked a question first caller with the right answers
going to Bruno Mars. It's a pair of tickets. Only
ten percent of guys will admit that they cannot do this.
Only ten percent of guys will admit that they can't
do this. What do you think it is? It's eight
hundred nine two nine kost Let's get your guesses next.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
More feel Good Friday. Next on the LNK Morning Show,
Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Park like Joe Jonas, he can't do it. It's not
eyebrow management or tie a tie. Oh, I like these guesses.
It's not say sorry or say I was wrong. Only
ten percent of guys will admit they cannot do this.
More of your guesses for your Llen, KQ and A
(25:53):
Bruno Mars tickets coming up.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Next, suck.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Amnavergun. It's the l and k Q and A. On
Coast one oh three point five, we go down to
south central LA. Hello, Brittany on the way to the DMV,
is it time for you to get your real ID?
Speaker 11 (26:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Okay, when's the last time you were at the DMV?
Speaker 10 (26:28):
Ooh?
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Probably? I guess like five years. It's been a while
five years ago.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Yeah right, Okay. I know people like always think, well
the DMV lots of lines and all that stuff. But
I recently went here in Glendale and I got to
tell you, I was in and out of there so fast.
Everything's so organized because they don't want lines either.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (26:51):
So, and I think they moved a lot of services
to online, making it easier where people don't have to
go and just yeah, gather, yeah.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Yeah, I was.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
I did.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
It's like half of the application and sent everything else online.
So they said that you could just walk up with
like the confirmation numbers fingers cross good, good.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Fingers crossed, Well if fingers crossed for your guests to
only ten percent of guys will admit that they can't
do this. What is it?
Speaker 2 (27:16):
I think it's cook, but they can cook.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
It's a great guest. They can't cook. I mean, how
many guys lie about that. My husband said, oh, you've
got to try my grandpa's recipe. It's for this spaghetti sauce.
It's so good. I'm going to make it for you
one day. He still hasn't made, you know why, because
he doesn't know how cook. It's a great guest. It
(27:40):
is not the right answer. Try again and good luck
at the DMV.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
HI, thank you all right.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Thanks Brittany. We go now to Emily kindergarten teacher ox
nerd Hi.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Emily, Hello, good morning.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
Good morning, Emily. We are looking for the right answer.
Only ten percent of guys will admit that they can't
do this. What is it?
Speaker 6 (28:00):
I'm gonna say commit?
Speaker 3 (28:03):
They just can't commit. Oh that's a really great, guess
it's an original guest. It's unique. It's not the right answer.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Dry again, Emily, have a great day, and we go
to Yvonne Courthouse. Yvonne. Okay, so Yvonne. It says here
that you you usually work at a criminal courthouse, but
you have the day off. Yes, we're looking at a
four day weekend.
Speaker 6 (28:25):
Then, yes, I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Oh that's awesome MLK weekend. Okay, what do you think
it is? Only ten percent of guys will actually admit
they can't.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Do this, change a flat tire.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Change a flat tire. Is that something that we think
every man should know how to do?
Speaker 2 (28:43):
I think so dad, My dad taught me.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, my dad tried to teach me. He taught all
my brothers. So yeah, change a flat tire. And I
hope that you are going to be free in October
to go to Sofi Stadium to see Bruno Mars.
Speaker 6 (29:00):
You're right, you guys so much.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
You're a winner, you guys. Right now, he's gonna come.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Fantastic.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Yeah, it's change a flat tire. Only ten percent guys
will admit that they just can't do it. I know Ryan,
you can, but I'm looking at over at producer Mic
and it's a big no no, I can do it.
You're shaking your head out.
Speaker 7 (29:29):
Okay, it's the easiest process, it really is. It's like
it's simpler than putting together furniture from my Kia.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
I just I think it's scary, so I always feel
like the car is gonna.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Come down on you.
Speaker 5 (29:38):
Nope, you find the right point on whatever you're gonna Okay, to.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Keep grasping on big eight o'clock hour for you here
on the llen k Morning Show. A whole lot of cash.
We have one thousand dollars for you twice and that
is just ahead. It's also a feel good Friday.
Speaker 12 (29:58):
I need some feel goods. Seems like the world's gone crazy.
I need some few boots. Baby, give it to me,
Give it to me.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
And thank you, John Legend. Dolly Pardon is a living,
breathing national treasure and a walking feel good.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
You know she was born on the floor of a
one room cabin and pigeon forge.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
I didn't know that she grew up like with nothing.
Speaker 5 (30:25):
Nothing, four kids, just born in the cabin.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Well, her birthday is next week. She's a new single
out today. It's called Light of a Clear Blue Morning.
She did with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus. Also Reba Queen
Latifa is on this single. So's Leanie Wilson. So she
is working. There's gonna be a big Grand Old Oppery
birthday party for her next week. And Dolly comes to
(30:50):
our show quite a bit. She likes to drop on
by and we get to chat with her and learn
all kinds of things from her. She's got a big
crush on Michael Bubla. We know that she loves to cook,
but I think her feel good. It's her definition of success.
Speaker 6 (31:10):
You're all truly a success when you can be proud
of what you've done, feel like that you have done
it not only for yourself but for other people. So
when you can lay there and count the blessings more
than you count your money, then I think that that's
when you truly feel like you have made it and
that you've done what, hopefully, in my case, what God
(31:30):
had intended for me to do. So I just always
ask God to lead and direct me, and you know,
to show me what to do and let me do
things to uplift people and go if I him and
I just say I'm open, so show me.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
Ah. We love. This is Ellen k greatest New Year ever,
and let's get you some cash. Cash coming out of
everywhere but here. It is one thousand dollars. All you
have to do is call us New Year, New money,
one thousand dollars to you. It's eight hundred ninety nine
(32:03):
kost Hi. Who's this? This is Rowena? How you doing?
What road are you on? Rowena? I am on.
Speaker 6 (32:21):

take care of my grandsad Rowena.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Thanks for having us on in your ride. You probably
heard us say call you call her twenty you get
one thousand dollars cash.
Speaker 6 (32:37):

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Your collar twenty you just won.
Speaker 6 (32:42):

Speaker 2 (32:45):
I love you guys so much.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Oh well, Rowena, thank you for having us on in
your car. We never take it for granted and we
love giving away this cash. So it's all yours, one
thousand dollars cash.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Are you having a great new year? So far?
Speaker 2 (33:04):
So far? So good?
Speaker 5 (33:05):
Good?
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Get good, happy weekend.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
Same to you, guys.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
I love you more. Feel Good Friday is coming up
on the l and K Morning Show Coast one oh
three point five with.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
The it doesn't Feel Good Friday. We're the LNK Morning
Show and Cassie has a later bell today and a
half day. It's MLK Weekend. Hi Cassie, Hi, Cassie, third grade.
Thank you so much for calling us. Welcome. It's a
feel good Friday. You have a feel good for us.
(33:37):
Ok yeah? Tell us about fun Fridays at school.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
We usually do it at the end of it, of
the end of the day, and then we then we
pack up and go leave.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Okay, So what is it like your happy hour? What
do you do during happy hour? Adults? We have cocktails
and small talk. But what do you guys do at
your happy hour?
Speaker 9 (34:00):
Like I'll play or talk to friends?
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Uh huh.
Speaker 7 (34:04):
When you say play, what are we playing? Are you
guys doing like board games? Are you outside?
Speaker 9 (34:09):
Well like outside? Are you playing tag?
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (34:14):
Yeah, one time we had our play happy hour and
I climbed a tree and I got in trouble because
we weren't allowed to climb the trees. Oh yeah, you
want to hear a funny guy. He he's the happiest
guy on the Internet and he climbed a tree. Guys,
I'm I'm on top of the tree. Look wow like
(34:37):
literally on top of him.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Whoa.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
It is a feel good Friday and the field that's
just keep coming here on this Friday. We asked you
to call a name. Well, we love all your feel
goods reaching out eight nine kost like you did, Carmen,
(35:09):
So tell us about yours.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Oh so, I work at the Mount Sat Canals in
Mount Time, I think of college canels. Then we have
dogs that come in from Riverside County Shelter and we
had a pit bull. His name was Bentley. We were
trying to get him adopted, got him adopted, unfortunately, got returned.
Stayed with us a two more like two more months,
(35:34):
and about a day or so before he had to
go back to the shelter, we found him a home.
He's in us forever home. He's so happy.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Now. Yeah, what what are Bentley's best qualities?
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Oh goodness, he's a pit bull, so he's a big guy,
but he's a big marshmallow. He's the sweetest little thing,
sweetest little boy. So we're happy we got him a home.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Who new family.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
It was actually a classmate of mine. His name, his
dad's name is Michael. They had just lost their previous
dog and they were kind of looking and just worked
out with Bentley.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Oh my gosh, Ben, that's got to be the happiest
pickfull in the world. Oh.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
Yes, you and you guys too.
Speaker 7 (36:18):
I mean seeing these pups come in maybe in various
states of you know, distress, and then to do such
a feel good job of getting them placed.
Speaker 5 (36:25):
What a what a gift.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Yes, it warms my heart every time we get one
at home, and we try our best to get every
single one at home.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Oh, thanks for all the work you do, Bentley. We're
happy for you. It's field good Friday. Keep your field
goods coming close. Twenty three point five, Oh big, the
really weekend to playoff football. Eight teams remain two games tomorrow,
first of the Bill's Broncos Denver, then the Niners facing
the Seahawks in Seattle. Go CMC.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
You will be in San Francisco with your son Calvin watching.
I'm sure to sports bar.
Speaker 5 (36:57):
We will wait a sports bar. There will be a
lot of pandemonium.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Yes, I'm gonna wear our McCaffrey jerseys. I'm gonna watch
that game together. Sunday starts with the Texans and Patriots
at noon, and we finished that day with our La
Rams in Chicago to Battle of the Bears, the coldest
NFL game ever. When chill in Chicago, there's blowing snow,
it's arctic. You know, Ryan, we both know that we've
(37:20):
lived there. It gets bone chilling, bone chilling, Helen. But
in spite of all that, Sean McVay is confident with
his team. The team is ready. They don't care little cold.
Speaker 7 (37:32):
Never heard anybody, well, listen, and I'm not just saying
this is a Bears fan, Okay. Matthew Stafford statistically plays
very poorly in the cold.
Speaker 5 (37:41):
I'm serious.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
I mean, how many cold games is he played? Really
a lot?
Speaker 5 (37:45):
And he doesn't do that well. But I know you
want to ram it.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
I do. Elton John's gonna ram it too. He loves
the Rams. He sits down at that piano and goes
for it. We will be rocking in La.
Speaker 6 (38:08):
So let's ram it today. Let's ram it.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
We are gone on ram. I'm gonna predict Rams Niners
super Bowl. Let's go.
Speaker 5 (38:17):
It's gonna be it came, No, it won't be. No,
that's not the Super Bowl. They'll have to play each
other to get to the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Okay, oh God for a great Well. We've learned from
all your feel goods every Friday, and really many days
when you call us with your news. Good news is
that there's always something hopeful even when it gets rough.
You got to find the you know, the good in
(38:45):
the situation. And we lost a friend, Pat Finn passed
from cancer. We love you. Pat Finn, actor, comedian, dad, husband,
great friend. I know him well because our kids grew
up together, Calvin and Ryan Fann. It's Caitlin and Cassidy Donna,
(39:06):
his widow, and his funerals today. So I went to
the wake last night and as we were leaving, there
are cards and Pat's little boy photo dressed as a
clown is on the cover, and it's the Clown's Prayer
and I'd never I'd never read this prayer before. So
the story is Pat Finn and Chris Farley best friends.
(39:26):
They went to Marquette University together and they took Philosophy
of Humor. Pat got a C minus and Farley got
a D. And they had the prayer for the Clown's
Prayer and they've kept it in their wallets till the
day they die, each of them, and I want to
read it to you. I think it's one of those
things where it's beauty and sadness. So the clown's prayer.
(39:49):
Maybe you know this one, maybe you don't. As I
stumbled through this life helped me to create more laughter
than tears, dispense more happiness than gloom, spread more cheer
than despair. Never let me becomes so indifferent that I'll
fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a
child or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.
Never let me forget that My total effort is to
cheer people, make them happy, and forget, at least momentarily,
(40:12):
all the unpleasantness in their lives. And at my final moment,
may I hear you whisper When you made my people smile,
you made me smile. It's so pet finn Maybe someone
you know too. All right, Finns, we love you. Thank
(40:33):
you so much for spending your morning with us. Happy
birthday to you if you're celebrating today, have a beautiful
weekend MLK Day on Monday, maybe you get it off
and uh yeah, Happy Friday to ya. Thanks for all
your feel goods. We continue with Cash on Coast all
throughout the day, one thousand dollars every single hour, and
(40:59):
Yeah five.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Travels to you too, to the bay to see your boy.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Hug that boy, the boy in the bay, the boy
in the Bay. Have a great weekend, Bryan. I know
that you're gonna be going to Alter Ego.
Speaker 5 (41:13):
Yeah tomorrow for them Green Day headlining, closing the show.
Speaker 10 (41:16):
Can't wait, Darlene, UCLA rugby tournament both days.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
You know what.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
I love those days, even though they are long. It's
just fun. The sound of you know, people playing a game. Yeah,
boys hitting without pads. It's trying not to make it
too violent. No, it is. It's a lot of fun.
I enjoy it all right. We'll have a beautiful one.
We end every show with the quote and a kiss.
It is Lynn Manuel Miranda's birthday. He said, you'll never
(41:43):
be satisfied if you don't understand what you're trying to achieve.
Kiss on three, Kiss on me went three
