Well, I mean coffee maker, A smell of coffee.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
That's right, Okay, So before you take that first sip
of coffee, yes we'll try this tomorrow morning, just stop
and put your nose in the coffee.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Like I know, the smell of coffee.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Fills off through the house, but I want what I
want you to do, what I want everyone to do,
is put your nose just set, you know, inch, not
even inches, just centimeters away from it. Smell it seriously.
I know it sounds like kind of like a a
goofy type thing with you. There's science behind this, so
researchers find that the anticipation lights up your brain's reward.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
System before that coffee touches your lips.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
So if you pull and really inhale the coffee aroma
before you drink it, you're stretching out the enjoyable part
instead of like racing right.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
To the reward.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
I like it. I like it.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
So it's one dopeamine hit followed by another from that
first sip, you know what I mean. It's the set
then the sip. It's a two for one happiness deal. Yeah,
So don't just drink your coffee, date it first. The

have to find my way out, so I'll figure it out.

Speaker 6 (07:18):
That?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, the FAA is looking into it because it's been
fifty years they banned supersonic jets and now they're saying

That is people booking trips to Cape Verde. Everyone wants

(08:32):
just learned about this and it makes me want to
go to the western part of the western coast of Africa.
Beautiful city, gorgeous water. And now that we've fallen in
love with Wozina and you know that country through the
World Cup, people want to go. Also for Wozena, he
went from forty six thousand Instagram followers to twenty one
(08:55):
million and growing. So he's really like literally put them
on the map, and he's so grateful. This is what
he has to say about the journey.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
We show the passion we have for our country, and
we show also and we are here to represent not
just the players, but all the conversion in all the world.
And we are small, but we have big hurts and
we we are fighters. We have fighters.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It's the morning show.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
I listen to you guys every day.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
I love your show.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Coast one three point Therapy Thursday, we're here with Sonia.
Thank you so much for trusting us, Sonya and our
licensed therapist Sarah dash Here. Therapy Thursday is now podcast.
Listen to it wherever you get your podcasts. But Sonya
to you now, So he put a ring on it
and then he kind of disappeared. How quickly after you
(09:42):
got that ring did he go away?
Speaker 5 (09:45):
I'm talking immediately, It's like within like two days. Oh
my god.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
So he put the ring on it and then he
like basically left you emotionally.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Can I'm going to ask you a very personal question,
are you guys? It has the intimacy stop?
Speaker 5 (10:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Oh everything everything?
Speaker 7 (10:04):
How was the intimacy prior to the engagement wonderful?
Speaker 5 (10:09):
Are you kidding me? That's another reason why I said yes.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
So like he would he would make you feel it
in money, like he would take his time with you
and really you know, give you that moment.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
Yes, yeah, everything, it's like it was perfect.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I think he sounds like a psychopath. Well, oh, this
is a I'm so sorry, Sonya but ID to just
to jeckle and hide it like that is very scary.
It's it's unusual.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
I know that for some people, if they're insecurely attached,
specifically avoidance, their desire really thrives with distance, so closeness can,
believe it or not disregulate them. They don't have a
sense of security and safety once they like formally attach,
(10:58):
they actually feel disraightd.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
But why, Sarah, would someone who has a fear of
closeness seek closeness as the goal.
Speaker 7 (11:08):
I think that a lot of times our behavior isn't
logical on the outside, where if you're looking internally, it
makes a lot of sense. Like if we think of
intimacy as actually increasing the risk of being hurt, that
could result in somebody withdrawing once they've attained this thing
(11:29):
that they've been pursuing.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
How long, like, have you guys been together? How deep
does this go?
Speaker 5 (11:35):
We've been together for about three years?
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Okay, do you love him as much as you I
guess did in the beginning?
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Yeah, yeah, yes absolutely. That's why I'm so shocked about everything.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
This is how I knew I loved my fiance now husband,
is that I just didn't want to live life without him.
I thought, I can't picture my life without him in it.
And he felt like home to me. Does Willy feel
like home to you? He did the old he did
for sure, Sonia.
Speaker 7 (12:08):
Is it possible that there's something else going on for
Willie outside of the relationship? I mean, could he have
proposed The next day he goes into work and finds
out his job maybe on the line, and he's just
very distracted. I just don't want to start pathologizing him
or making it about you or him when it could
be something completely outside of that, you know.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
So maybe I should ask about that, you know, when
we talk. Maybe I should ask him about his work.
I never do, but maybe that. I think that's a
good idea.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
I want you to give him a chance. I really
want you to give him a chance. I really think
that after three years of investing your love, I think
that it's worth giving it a chance. You can't just
walk away where you've had so much love. I just
I would hate to see that. Eve, every right, it's
certainly worth a conversation.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Let us know. Yeah, because Sarah said it's all about
how he reacts.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
Yeah, yeah, I'll definitely tell you guys. I'm so thankful
you guys have helped me today.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Oh well, we're thankful you reached out and we're thankful
the Air Tasker for sponsoring Therapy Thursday of the podcast.
You can watch it on YouTube. I'll like to do
a search Therapy Thursday pot or listen to it wherever
you get your podcasts.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
I'm loving my One of my favorite things now is
to go through the comment section on the YouTube videos
because people do. They find themselves enamored with our therapist,
Sarah dash Yes and her glasses. And my favorite comment
on this past episode was I suddenly have a lot
more childhood trauma. I just want to talk to Sarah.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
But really, thank you Air Tasker for believing in us
in our podcast. And you know what they are is
it's a task that you can get done. So anything
that you can think of. You want to wipe someone
from social media, an air Tasker can do it. You
need someone to stand in line for you, an air
Tasker can do it.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Powerwasher, patio write anything anything.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
I'd blow up soccer balls for a World Cume party
and Air Tasker can come and do that. It's a
charcouterie board, no problem. Barbecue, they'll go shopping for you. Yes, yeah,
it's anything and everything. In fact, you just get anything done,
get anything done. It's therapy Thursday. Something is going on.
Speaker 9 (14:15):
No, no, no, no, no, he's By the time I
got home from work, somebody had called my wife instead
that I was having lunch with some strange woman.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
He really wants me.
Speaker 9 (14:24):
Then he will leave his wife and come and get me.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
And like you said, therapy Thursday on the llen k
Morning Show, Coast one of three point five.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
So when you wrote it's a letter to Ellen, Willie
gave her a ring. They got engaged. It was all love.
She was his world. But almost immediately something changed. The
affectionate attention faded fast, and she doesn't feel chosen anymore.
And she wants to know is this normal after you
get engaged. Half of me says yes, because this is
a big decision for Willie. Maybe he's in shock now,
(14:51):
he's thinking of his whole life ahead of him, which
you know, I don't know how old they are, but
that's a big step for a couple, and maybe he
just needs some time. I mean, look, he went on,
got the ring he'd proposed to her. They've had a whirlwind,
great year of magical romance and dating. So I don't
think that you can just erase that by giving someone
a ring.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
But shouldn't this be the most exciting time?
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (15:14):
Right?
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (15:15):
So okay, so Ellen to your point, Let's assume you're
right and he's he's a little, you know, skittish right now,
does that mean he wasn't ready?
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Possibly?
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Yeah? Or has she changed and she's just feeling insecure.
The second after we got engaged, my husband took me
out to dinner and there they were my family, Oh yeah, yeah,
and his brother. His parents couldn't travel him, but they
did come in. Later. We celebrated, but it was a
surprise and I was like, this is so great because
(15:47):
now we're all family. So I love I would love
for Sony to have that excitement. Let's go to Michelle
of Newport Beach. Do you have a theory maybe.
Speaker 9 (15:59):
He has somebody else like luce En somewhere else that
he didn't tie before he got married.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Well, shall we have not heard this theory?
Speaker 9 (16:07):
Oh yeah, maybe they found out who the other person
found out that they got married, and then they heard
from them and now they're acting distant like I can't
believe they found out, and you know they had other
stuff going on.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
So you think Willie wasn't ready to give the engagement ring.
He's got another side piece?
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Absolutely, Okay, Well.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
What a coincidence? Another Michelle from Newport Beach, Oh my gosh, Okay,
So you disagree. You think it's all on.
Speaker 10 (16:33):
Her, you know what. I think she's like bride' zillay.
I think she's just being too needy.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
So she's scared him away.
Speaker 10 (16:40):
She's got to love herself. I mean, she's got the ring,
she has everything, right.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Yeah, well she said let's put the ring on it.
Shortly after something changed. Now he's distant changed one of
the lines she said, now that he has me, I
don't feel chosen anymore. Is this normal after you get engaged.
Speaker 10 (16:59):
I think that's been insecure. I think she's just running
too much into it.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
I feel like it's coming changed the thrill of the
hunt though. I think a lot of guys are this
way right. It's like you want, you want, you want,
you get now you don't want land Yep.
Speaker 10 (17:15):
I don't think Maybe he maybe he's just being here,
you know, he's being he's being a man. What he
landed it.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Yeah, I think you guys either way, no matter what,
this should be.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
The most exciting time. Yeah right, this should be the
time both of maron cloud nine.
Speaker 10 (17:29):
Right, And I'm sure they are, but in different clouds.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Maybe this has happened to you. Keep your calls coming.
Eight hundred and ninety nine five six seven eight.
Speaker 9 (17:38):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Thanks for spending your Friday Eve right here with us.
Carrie Steele is coming up next and we will see
you get tomorrow more music, money and fun. Happy birthday
to you if you're celebrating today, like Tom Hanks, T Hanks, Hanks, Thanks,
thanks Hanks. Woody, Oh, I saw this great thing on Instagram.
(18:00):
So this family was going to Toy Story five and
the little boy had the buzz Lightyear but couldn't find Woody.
So they get out of the car and they're going
into the movie theater. Guess who was hanging onto the
license plate stock Woody, just like in the original when
Woody hold onto the car and the Dad's like, there's Woody,
(18:24):
so cute? All right, Well here it is. Tom Hanks said,
if it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. Kiss on three,
kiss on me one two three, Ah
