The Michael movie became available to purchase or rent at

That's Apple Prime, Fandango, YouTube Movies and TV and Michael

(06:01):
and Lionsgate history after a record breaking seventh weekend nine
hundred million dollars around the world. Jafar Jackson traveling to
Japan as well, where they had their world premiere. This
is so cool. Stevie Nicks donating three million dollars to
usc Kech in honor of her voice. Doctor who is
our ear, nose throat doctor, Doctor Joseph Sugarman the best
(06:24):
he has cared for Stevie Nicks and other performers throughout
his fifty year career. Stevie loves him so much. He's
the guy who can get your voice back in twenty
four hours. That's his kind of bragging, right, since so
she put her money where her literally were, her mouth
and throat.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Yes, when I woke up daff on May twenty first,

Such a great guy. All right, what about this? SpongeBob
and Patrick Starr both have earned Nickelodeon renewals. They notes
are bringing back their longest running series, SpongeBob SquarePants, and
it's spin off, the Patrick Star Show. SpongeBob will return
for seasons eighteen and nineteen, and The Patrick Star Show
has earned season six and seven. So this is great news.
I love both of those shows, and this was a
(07:08):
huge surprise. First of all, Tom Hanks is on the
red carpet. Taylor Swift is there Toy Story five at
the Dolby. It was the Big World premiere, and he
gave some marriage advice for Taylor and Travis. First of all,
he loves them both and he's been married to Rita
for thirty eight years. So he said, the man must
make the waffles on Sunday. Yeah, that's his marriage advice.
(07:29):
Rita Wilson said her marriage device is do not have
separate bathrooms, which I strongly disagree with. I think you
do need separate bathrooms. So she said that in the
bathroom that's where she and Tom do all their talking
while they're getting ready to go out and things like that.
She said they have their like really good talks there.
So it's private, it's intimate, and that's what they do.
(07:51):
But Taylor got up on stage with Randy Newman and
she sang, not only I knew it, I knew you're
her new song, but also, you've got a friend in me.
Speaker 8 (08:00):
You got a friend of me, you got a brind
you got your troubles, would you.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Got They tried to pretend like they weren't getting sink
because Randy had the Randy Newman had the piano up there.
She's like, Randy, do you want to sing there? She
also brought her VHS copy of the original Toy story
for the Castle size so cute. Oh and look it's
Stevie Nicks on Coast.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Because you.
Speaker 2 (08:46):

Have you been seeing these giant waves at the wedge
in Newport Beach? Like there's hundreds of people just to
watch these giant ten footers. They're amazing. Surfers are coming
from all over the world.

was your I like to drink water?
Speaker 3 (10:20):

Breastrocry in?
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Yeah, yes, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Good for you, and you were doing yourself good, maybe
without even knowing it. So this study was done on kids,
but I think it applies to everyone, but mainly kids.
We usually focus on a fitness aspect of swimming, the workout,
burning off all that energy, especially in the summer.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Right well, new.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Research says that swimming is the best beyond the physical aspect,
going straight to happiness. It's the best thing for a
young nervous system that is currently forming. So it's the
combination of rhythmic movement, control, breathing, constant sensory feedback from
the water. It's like a full body hug. So it's
given you these things on the inside that you don't
even know.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Oh that's so cool. We used to do two days.
We would swim in the morning and then after school,
like before and after.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
School, and then see what happens when you get out
of the pool after your two days.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
You eat like crazy.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Okay, but the happiness stays with you too.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
It shifts kids into a calmer, more regulated state and
better self control in life. Just in life, body awareness, focus,
and it's fun.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Oh that's so cool. Calvin swimming. He wants to swim
from Alcatraz to San Francisco. So we talk about that.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
Yeah, point is this summer when your kids look at
you and say, I'm bored quote bts and tell them.

what they cost. They cost fifty six hundred dollars. The
thing looks expensive Instead of plastic or gray shell. The

to Ellen. Well, there are people traveling from all over
the world, not only for the World Cup kickoff on Friday,
but also for our massive waves. People from all over
the world. I saw this guy, he was ripping waves
and Argentina and then he landed to come home to
California and then was greeted by the wedge and those
(14:47):
eight to twelve footers. Kelly is just showing right now. Yeah,
that's right.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
It's a flex.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
And we're the Ellen k Morning Show. Thank you so
much for your letters to Ellen. We read them every
Monday on Wednesday, and this one comes Phoebe Dear Ellen.
Four years ago, I signed divorce papers and walked away
from his sixteen year marriage. My ex husband, Jake, and
I didn't split because of cheating or fighting. We just
slowly became strangers and eventually convinced ourselves we'd both be
(15:17):
happier a part. Last month, I got a phone call
that changed everything. Jake had suffered a serious heart emergency
and was rushed to the hospital. They called me because
I am still his emergency contact. When I saw him
laying there, pale and scared, something happened inside me. All
I could think was I can't lose the man I
spent nearly half my life loving. Thankfully, he's okay now.
(15:41):
But ever since that day we've been talking constantly. Somehow,
we've laughed more in the last three months than we
did in the final years of our marriage. The problem
I'm engaged to a great guy. His name is Greg. Emotionally,
I know I'm already in dangerous territory. I'm falling back
in love with Jake. Is it possible that the worst
(16:02):
day of Jake's life unexpectedly gave us a second chance?
And what about Greg? I'm confused, Phoebe. Well, that's something
that's when you don't know what to say, that's what
you can always say. Just say wow, that's something, Phoebe,
that is.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Something I am. I gotta say.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
I didn't love this going into like the first half
and then the engagement. This is this is bad news,
you know what. I don't even think that the first
part is love anymore.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
M Four years ago I signed divorce papers and walked
away from a sixteen year marriage. My ex husband, Jake
and I didn't split because of cheating or fighting. We
just grew apart.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
You grew apart, remember that part, not the day you
saw him laying their pale.
Speaker 10 (16:49):
M hm.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
So you think that this is what do they call it?
Trauma trama, A traumad trauma bonding.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
She got jolted into a situation that made her go,
oh my god, remember what we had.
Speaker 12 (17:02):
I think the only thing that can kind of make
sense is maybe they share kids, like if if they
have something that's still connecting them for her to care about.
If not, then I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
I feel bad for her partner. I wonder what they
what they would do on the pit or on Grey's anatomy,
if you know, I'm sure that doctors and we have
a lot who listen to us, and nurses and staff
hospital staff. Do you see this happening often where you
know and X comes into the room and then all
of a sudden, it's love again? Or is it?
Speaker 3 (17:38):
That's it? Is it?
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Or is it it's not supposed to be? No, Well,
she still has emergency contact as well. Oh gosh, so
Phoebe's confused needs your help. It's eight hundred and ninety
two nine kost. We would love for you to call
with advice for Phoebe. And you don't have to hold back.

Speaker 8 (24:00):
I've been learning a new karate for that. My friend
gave me a present for my birthday. My drawing and
AI skills are going up.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
We've both past our first coming in where she left.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Summertime and congratulations. So exciting LAUSD look at it tomorrow
for the last day. Somehow always feels so good. We
are just days away from PEPA World Cup kickoff, and
there's a way that you can make a super shout out.
(24:37):
So you get a big jumbo tron shout out, you
have to pay for it. There's a big catch and
we'll share that with you. Coming up next with your
top stories. And the big waves too. Wave watchers at
the wedge plenty of them, twenty footers today expected guys.
It's just fascinating to see these big waves here in
(24:58):
southern California and they're going to continue. High surf advisory
warning twenty feet are more possible at the wedge in
Newport Beach now. I've been to the wedge several times
with my son Calvin, and he has body surf there
when it was mild the usual wedge, right, yeah, but
even that's intimidating because it does it just forms this wedge.
It's the south facing beach. All these huge swells are
(25:20):
coming in and now they're just monsters. People are, you know,
here from all over the world anyway, and now there
are hundreds lining the beach to watch these these big waves.
So I'm wondering, like, if you're visiting from another kind
of surf city, it's kind of our flex to you.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
It really is. If your son Ellen called you and said, hey,
I want to get in there, what would you say today?
Speaker 2 (25:41):
I was it, please don't.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
I know you're an adult now, young man. You make
your own decisions. And I feel like he makes good decisions, yeah,
good life decisions. So I don't think he would make
that call, right, But if he did, I'd be like,
you can't, don't. But there are, like, there's a lot
of people doing it anyway. You get your letters to Ellen,
(26:04):
and this one from Phoebe Dear Ellen. Four years ago,
I signed divorce papers. I walked away from a sixteen
year marriage. My ex husband, Jake and I didn't split
because of cheating or fighting. We just grew apart. And
last month I got a phone call that changed everything.
Jake had suffered a serious heart emergency and was rushed
to the hospital. I'm his emergency contact. That's why they
called me. And when I saw him lying there, pale
(26:26):
and scared, something happened inside me. All I could think
was I can't lose the man I spent nearly half
my life loving. The problem is I'm engaged to a
great guy named Greg. Emotionally, I know I'm already in
dangerous territory. I'm falling back in love with my ex Jake.
What do I do about Greg? I'm confused, Phoebe. So
(26:47):
this got a lot of phone calls and Star thank
you so much for being one of those. Does Phoebe
go back to her ex?
Speaker 9 (26:56):
Absolutely not, dangers RIP and X is an ex for
a reason. Ex husbands, ex boys friends, they're a X
for a reason. First thing you need to do is
remove your name off of his emergency contact. Cut the
umbilical cord. This is so dangerous. Move on with Greg.
(27:21):
And I'm hoping Greg's not listening to this radio and
he's questioning, well, why does she have still feelings with him?
All right, you divorced him for a reason. What she's
feeling is, you know, sadness and comfort and compassion, which
is what the qualities women have, and she feels bad.
(27:41):
She knew him, so that's what she's feeling. That is
not an open door to get back with him. Don't
mess this up with Greg because he'll move on, have
a wonderful life with his new wife that he needs,
and you'll be sitting there looking stupid with this other dude.
I'm telling you cut that now and telling him to
(28:04):
remove your name. If he doesn't and the hospital calls
you again, I'm sorry. I'm not his emergency contact, and
hang up. Star, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Would you could you be our official advice giver on
the game?
Speaker 9 (28:21):
No? Even mine? I don't mind. I don't play that. No,
they're an ex for a reason. No, don't go back.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Okay, thank you, start, have a great day.
Speaker 9 (28:34):
I love you, guys. Have a great one. Bye.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
All right, Phoebe, did you get the message run the
other way? Could you imagine that if he has to
go back for his heart and they call her, you're
his emergency contact, and then you say.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
No, she should say, Star's right, I.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Know, but do you really just leave someone hanging like that,
he has to at least go and make sure he's okay.
Speaker 9 (29:00):
Do not.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
You're gonna leave Jake all alone in the hospital.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
You're gonna leave Greg your fiance, all alone.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Hi, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
It's Letters to Ellen.

Come I'm talking.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
About Phoebe is confused, so she wrote a letter to Ellen,
and four years ago she signed divorce papers.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Phoebe walked away from a sixteen year marriage to Jake,
her ex husband. There was no real drama in the breakup.
They just grew apart and decided let's get a divorce,
and they did. But last month Phoebe got a phone
call that change everything. Jake had suffered a serious heart
emergency and was rushed to the hospital, and Phoebe is
(32:47):
still his emergency contact, so they called her and she
rushed there. Phoebe said, when I saw him lying there,
pale and scared, something happened inside of me. All I
could think was I can't lose the man I spent
nearly half my life loving. Thankfully, Jake is okay right now.
The problem is Phoebe's engaged to a great guy named Greg.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
Yeah, that's a problem.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
That's a big problem. And a lot of calls about
this letter to Ellen. What about Greg her fiance, and
what's going on there with Jake. I don't know. It's
good to Arnold. So Arnold, you heard the letter, you
have your thoughts.
Speaker 11 (33:27):
First of all, they broke up not because of a
third party. It's just because they fall in apart. Love
is sweeter the second time around, that you still care
for the mind you originally love and cared for, and
you know you spent half of your life together with.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, all right, well wow, so Arnold,
thank you so much for for calling.
Speaker 11 (33:52):
I'm an avid fan every morning I listen to you guys.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
I thank you, Arnold. He's the first person to say that,
go back.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
No one has said that.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Everyone's like well, but you're engaged to Greg. What do
you do with Jake? He's next for a reason.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Okay, arn Ultimately.

(37:02):
belief in excellence. We love it when you win here
on the show, and he was all about winning, but
he also would point out the losers with the winning.
That was kind of what he's known for. The winner says,
let me do it for you. The loser says, that's
not my job. The winner is always part of the answer.
The loser is always part of the.
Speaker 9 (37:25):
Kiss.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Kiss on me. One, two, three,
