in k Morning Show. Michael the movie number one again
globally seven hundred million dollars on track to rack up
a bill. So cool, and you guys, I found a
lost interview with Michael Jackson.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I'm Mellen Kay, I'm Ryan Manna, I'm Social Queen Darling,
and I producer Mike Ramos.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Let's get this Monday going. We've got cash on Coast,
It's coming up Disney four Pax Are you kidding me? Twice?
And then all throughout the day Disney's taken over. I
loved that pedro pscal Yeah. And Sigourney, We've John Favreau
surprise fans at Disney over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
What's the read? You were with them? Yes, I'm Friday, Sigourney,
What's And James Cameron? Okay, what's your what's your takeaway?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
All right? So James Cameron is like the kind of
guy that if you were in line with him at
the grocery store, he would talk to you for an hour.
He is so curious. He wanted to know all about
the radio show. I told him I was up at
the podium when I hosted Sigourney Weavers cement handprints, and
I said, you know, I talked about you on the radio,
Sigourney and asked people to give me one adjective to

(01:04):
describe you, and then you know, gave the adjectives you know, beautiful, talented, focused,
things like that. And he said, I really love that
you that you talked about this on the radio. Tell
me more.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I wonder if that curiosity is what has made James
Cameron James Cameron.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I think so. And Pedro Pascal was a fan boy.
He was all over James Cameron. They hadn't met before,
you guys, whoa So he's like, you don't understand. I
watched Terminator on the big screen and at least saying
all the characters. He was literally so nervous to meet
James Cameron. They sat next to each other and they
had their faces in each other's faces the whole time.
That's awesome, and Sigourney Weaver is really funny, fun and funny.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
The next night, James Cameron, I was shocked to see
him sitting cage side at the Ronda Rousey Junia Carano fight.
I a beer. I was like, what, you know what else?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
He did? He went to the Harry Styles concert.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
He's all over the place.

Speaker 3 (02:00):

Is Taylor Swift writing and releasing or is it already
done a thirteenth album? Eagle eyed fans were quick to
point out that over the weekend, Taylor went to a
friend's wedding with Travis. She was wearing a gold gown
and it was like strap and then when she walked
out of the wedding she had his blazer on. It
was a cool look. But everyone's praising Trafford, you know,

(03:06):
keeping her his girl warm. But fans were quick to
point out the Swift's jewelry featured thirteen stones. It's an
earring and so now that would match the number of
her next album. Let me just read one of the
comments on the social posts. There's just no way she's
wearing an earring with thirteen stones, so they're calling it

(03:27):
fun teasing other fans out. Thirteen gems were an update
on the twelve stone ruby earrings that she rocked last
time we saw her. So what do you guys think?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I mean, I wouldn't put it past her to coordinate
the gems on her I'm waiting. What's her lucky number again? Thirteen?

Speaker 5 (03:47):
All right?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
La Fleet Week is this week. So it's kicking off
May nineteenth, that's Thursday. There're gonna be all kinds of
neighborhood activations, but also we are going to be heading
into a yacht rock weekend. And we are young by nature,
so I can't wait to be sharing that with you,
and keep an eye out for all the yacht rock festivities.

(04:08):
Kate Flanchett and Selena Gomez are teaming up for their
next movie from the Brutalist director, described as a massive
X rated epic. It was Kate Flanchette at Can who
gave it away. She accidentally revealed the collaboration. She was
in a masterclass and she mentioned she was about to
work with Selena Gomez. It's going to be X rated,

(04:28):
so I don't know. I don't know when that's coming out.
Let's talk about Michael Jackson. Seven hundred million dollars around
the world. Michael reclaimed the number one spot at the
box office for the fourth weekend. This is so crazy,
opening stronger than expected and staying there. People are going
back to three times. Darlene, I know you loved it.

Speaker 6 (04:45):
Oh, I loved it. I went Saturday with my entire family.
We had the whole back row. My mom and dad
were dancing, My eight year old niece was dancing.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
And here's the other cool part.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
I had to step out to use the restroom halfway
through the movie because I took my four year old.
And what four year old doesn't need to go there?
There's three other theaters blasting the movie as well.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
See it was so an event. Is no wonder people
are seeing it multiple times. Well, Michael Jackson also took
a patent out on that shoe that he wore when
he does the lean Yes, yeah, and so I was
just relearning about that. There are so many things that
are coming back into our attention that Michael did while
he was on this planet. You know it never Land.

(05:24):
There's a mountain, some very tall mountain, but it's the
tallest mountain on the land. And he named it Mount Catherine.
After all.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
I have another little fun fact that I found. Yeah,
the slide he had at Neverland, yes, is now at
the Scandia in Victorville.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
You can ride side ye fun slides. That slide.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
It's called the Michael Slide. They have a little like
you know, thing on it. It's there right in Victorville.
It's crazy like they can go.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
And ride that ride that Michael headed his never Land ranch.
And then I was just poking around and I found
something wanted to be fine in something from September tenth,
two thousand and three, Michael Jackson was on with us.
This is during Rick Dy's days, our first formal Hello.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Michael, this is up.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
This is Ellie K.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Hello, Hi Michael. It's nice to meet you.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Finally.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I hope one day you can come in the studio
because we'd love to kind of just be around you
and bring the kids.

Speaker 8 (06:24):
Wonderful.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Oh my god, I know.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And I remember that day he was in Toronto and
we told him, you know, Prince owns a home in Toronto,
and he said that it was Jimmy Jam also who
told him that Jimmy jam was up there with him.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
That's cool, So that can I do this?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Yeah, of course the toddler talk. I have a toddler myself,
and once they get those tennis shoes on, there's no
slowing down.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Ijo, walk around the lake.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
That's how you would stay in shape.

Speaker 2 (07:05):

No way? You just want to four pack to Disney?
Oh my god, Yes, it sounds like you're in your car.
Where are you headed, kid? I'm gonna drop them off

And we're dealing K Morning Show. Okay, so it's your
happiness hack.

Speaker 8 (08:17):
You know.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
We get requests for these ryan because it just makes
everyone feel good.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, and I like that. That's what we're all about, right. Yes,
I've shared the story before, but this is a true thing.
When I first started working with Ellen God, I don't know,
eleven years ago, first thing her husband, when I met
Roy Ever told me was, hey, man, I just got
to warn he pulled me aside. It's like she's like
a real life Cindy lu who very positive, like I
don't like very positive. She always looks on the bright side.

(08:42):
And uh, I have found that to be the truest
thing ever. Thank you, and it's really good for you.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
It turns out you know why we poached you away
from another station because you're of your smile.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Oh it's nice.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
And I think that starts like when we're young. I
remember my dad would wake my brother and I up.
He would sing to us. He would sing a song
every morning, and you'd start your morning feeling positive. And
Ellen always says you win the morning, you win. The day, right,
that's right, and that's what we're doing here. So the
phrase think positive. It turns out optimism does more to
improve your heart as it does your mood. Oh, Researchers
from Harvard. Harvard have just proven that people with higher

(09:16):
levels of optimism when you start your day have a
forty percent lower risk of major cardiovascular events like heart
attacks and strokes, forty percent less likely to develop heart
disease if you're thinking positive. Scientists believe a positive thinking
helps lower your stress, reduce inflammation, encourage healthier habits like exercise,
better sleep. In other words, a hopeful mindset doesn't just

(09:36):
feel good, it helps your heart stay stronger, longer.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
That Harvard says.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Harvard says it. It's science, and we love any excuse
to share this little nugget.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Don't worry.

Michael Jackson all over the world seven hundred million. He
was number one again, claiming the top spot of the
box office in the fourth week. I mean, it's just amazing.
Darn the fam went they bought.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
The whole back row ten people, and my eight year
old niece came home and just started watching music videos.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
She could not stop. She's obsessed. I think that the
world is obsessed, and I love that. You know, younger
kids who didn't grow up with Michael, and they're now
learning about Michael. So when they watched the Smooth Criminal
video and he does the lean, he's got that patented shoe.
So in nineteen ninety three they patented and were granted
the patent specially designed shoe with a triangular slot in

(10:42):
the heel. And so even highly trained his dancers can
only lean so far, but with the shoe you could
go forty five degrees. So neurosurgeons studied the move and
they said that when the body bends forward the backstraight,
the muscles act like cables and they're not built. But
Michael got it done with his shoe.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
That's cool.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Smooth Criminal so awesome. We unearthed an old.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Interview twenty three years old. Oh my god, this this
piece of audio.

Speaker 1 (11:16):

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Coast one O three point five The ellen K Morning Show,
thanks for waking it up with us. We're grateful for you.
We've got more cash on Coast Just ahead, and we're
gonna play the ellen KQ and A for Journey. We're
gonna send you. We love to play the game with you.
We asked a question. First caller with the right answer
is going to see Journey on their final frontier tour
at Crypto. They're also coming to Honda. That is just ahead,

(12:19):
and we also love your letters to Ellen Wright.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
To Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing or two.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
She is Ellen. All right, we got this one from
Shirley and you can write to us at COASTWEO three
five dot com. Tap that envelope, get us your letter.
We get all kinds of letters about all kinds of things,
and Shirley's a sounded like she uh has a little
bit of trouble. Dear Ellen, I've been best friends with

(12:45):
Christaph for over a decade. For years, I've had a
nagging feeling that her husband was cheating on her. I
keep quiet because I don't want to cause drama without facts.
But then one day I saw him at lunch with
a woman who is clearly not just a colleague. They
were in Manhattan Beach, looking at the ocean and laughing.

(13:06):
I did a little digging, found out who she was,
and made a decision. I'm now second guessing. I sent
my friend an anonymous DM from a fake Instagram account Afensta,
telling her I thought her husband might be cheating and
with who I told myself. I was doing it for her.
But here's the problem. She can't find any proof, and
now the anonymous letter itself has become the crisis. Do

(13:27):
I come clean she's upset, suspicious and spiraling, or do
I stay quiet let it blow over? I love your letters.
I'm hoping to find my way. Surely, what a mess?
Surely do I come clean? Or do I stay quiet? Huh?
She's upset, suspicious and spiraling, not about the husband, but
about who sent it and why.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
I'm wondering how close that friendship is because I feel
like a real friend would say, girl, you will not
believe what I just saw. You just straight up say it.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
In the moment, right in the moment she went, she did.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
She jumped through too many hoops to try to get
to an end that is now messier than the beginning.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Thankes.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
You have to tell her, right, You just have to say, listen, Okay,
I have a finsta that was me. I don't know
why I did it. I thought I was helping.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Now she's losing her husband and her best friend. I
love your advice, Ryan, you.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Just have to say it. Say it all. Here's everything
that what was he.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Doing in Manhattan beach a lunch looking at the ocean
and laughing.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
That's not up to So.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
What was he doing? He was cheating on his wife
and I don't know. It's a letter to Ellen. Surely
I've been best friends with Chris Jeff for every decade.
So you're you're questioning the friendship. I'm questioning the husband, and.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I mean, at least we have a starting point if
she says, listen, I saw your husband with a woman
and they maybe co I mean, you can start with
some facts right now, there's nothing.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Well, if it was you, you would have taken a video,
would have I sent my friend an anonymou DM from
a fence to account, telling her I thought her husband
might be cheating and with who because she knows who
the person is? Surely what should surely do? Are you
a Shirley? Do you know Shirley? Ryan's got the solution?

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, Hey, listen, I have a fen styf.

Speaker 7 (15:19):
That was me.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I'm an idiot, but your husband's a bigger idiot. I'm
sorry I made such a mess. Your husband's making a
bigger mess though. I love you eight.

Speaker 3 (15:31):

talk about their bedroom life, but he'll talk about everything else.
He said, Selena loves to eat fast food hamburgers for
breakfast and.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
He shows off his dirty feet. I mean, it doesn't
seem like a lots off limits for this guy.

Speaker 1 (16:23):

(16:44):
this immediately after a breakup. So what do you think
that is? Like one third of all adults have done
this immediately after a breakup. The breakup happens, and then
you do this. It's eight hundred nine two nine kost
What is that instant response for one third of all
all adults after a breakup. You're gonna get your guesses
for the L and KQ and aame. We're gonna do it.

I will say, called their ex or you know, a friend,
somebody where they feel more safe, I'm out there, or
like to heal you know.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yeah, I know a lot of people are saying call
their exits the most popular guess. It is not the
right answer, but you're thinking, you're thinking like everyone else,
So try again.

A ye're right, you don't live that way, she said, this.

Let me go, Holly. Yeah, thanks for having us on

of three point five.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Top stories top of the hour. Good Morning of Ellen
k And It was a wild surprise for Star Wars
fans at Disneyland over the weekend. Pedro Pascal is showing
up to surprise writers on Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run. He's
joined by Sigourney Weaver and John So. After guests got
off the attraction, they posted for picks with the Mandalorian
and Grogu. Then Pedro did something specially took off the helmet.

seven seven Cars for Kids one eight seven Cars for Kids.

(23:31):
KAS Cars for Kids. That banger has been banned from
ever airing in California starting June eighth. We'll never hear
it again. The ruling stems from a local lawsuit in
which a judge ruled those donated vehicles don't always go
to helping out kids in need. And congratulations to Meals
on Wheels America announcing a seventy million dollar gift from

(23:52):
Mackenzie Scott, the ex of Jeff Bezos. A beautiful wave
of kindness heading toward senior neighbors. Mackenzie Scott donated that
seventy me mill two Meals on Wheels and that's a
huge warm boost of hope for their nationwide network fourteen
million seniors worry about having enough food, and over half
struggle with loneliness, so that it's going to go straight

(24:13):
to help those lonely seniors. And three chefs were asked
to name the best grocery store cake. They're famous Emmy
Award winning chefs, recipe makers, and the clear winner is Costco.
You've probably had it at your parties. The cake is
worthy of birthday parties, even weddings. According to the pros,
Costco cakes win because they're moist, they are fresh, and

(24:33):
they have a dialed in cake to frosting ratio. That
is what the pros say. And we do have a
hot day today, highs up to about eighty or so,
maybe even eighty five in some areas. Southgate you go

Coast and more details on your Disney fore packs and
all of that is coming up, But first this letter
from Shirley. All Right, guys, Dear Ellen, I've been best

(25:32):
friends with Krista for over a decade. For years, I've
had a nagging feeling that her husband was cheating on her.
I kept quiet because I didn't want to cause drama
without facts. Then one day I saw him at lunch
in Manhattan Beach with a woman who was clearly not
just a colleague. I did a little digging, found out

(25:54):
who she was, and made a decision. I'm now second guessing.
I sent my friend an anonymous d from a fence
to account, telling her I thought her husband might be
cheating and with who I told myself. I was doing
it for her. Here's the problem. She can't find any proof,
and now the anonymous letter itself has become the crisis.
She's upset, suspicious, and spiraling because of this notice. Not

(26:18):
about the husband, but who sent it and why so
Do I come clean? Or do I stay quiet? I
love your letters. I'm hoping to find my way. Surely well, so,
surely surely went dirty?

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Yeah, you got to you gotta come clean. What do
we do when we make a mess? As kids? As adults?

Speaker 3 (26:37):
What do we do?

Speaker 2 (26:37):
We clean it up? Clean it up? Surely you've made
a mess. How does she even find this? Other woman?
This is the work that went into this.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Well, she said, she looked up who wanted I don't know,
but Manhattan Beach looking at the ocean.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
This is why. Also, Ellen, we we mind our own.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
You know. By the way, not all adults clean up
after themselves.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
That's true, that is true.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
So should Shirley clean up after herself? Does she come
clean or does she stay quiet? Well, let's go to Mantabello. Steve,
you heard the letter and you said that you can relate.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
Okay, this happened to me. Okay. I was at work
and I went to lunch in a food court. Ran
into somebody that I my wife and I both knew. Okay,
we've been friends for a long time. Wow. By the
time I got home from work, somebody had called my

(27:39):
wife instead that I was having lunch with some strange
woman and didn't even know that this woman was a
friend of both me and my wife. So my wife
I told my wife who it was, and we talked that.
You know, it just happened that the friend she was
on her way to a different destination, and she just

(28:02):
happened to stop and get something neat. Yeah, and we
ran ran into each other accidentally. So, uh, this surely
doesn't know if that's kind of.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
The case, right, right, that's true if they just bumped
into each other at a romantic Manhattan beach ocean view restaurant.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
Yeah, it could have been. You know, they have to
they're walking along, they ran into each other and said, well,
let's have lunch.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
But who is this person who read it on you?

Speaker 7 (28:29):
It was actually another another friend?

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Oh god, are you still friends? But they Oh no, okay,
so everything is fine in the marriage. But this friend
just had to tattletale on an innocent lunch. What should
surely do.

Speaker 7 (28:47):
Well, I think she should say something.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
All right, Well, thank you so much for for weighing in, Steve,
okay too, Like, do we just want to cause problems
for each other?

Speaker 7 (29:03):
Is that?

Speaker 5 (29:04):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Like?

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Is that it? Are we just looking to just trip
up somebody that's just awful or Steve, I know it
was so accidental. And then before you could even get home.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Already food a mall saying hi to a friend.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Now he's Manhattan.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
He's a cheater, Steve.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Suspicious minds. Yeah, surely, surely has a fence. Like who else?
What else is Shirley doing with?

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Oh she's cooking on that fence. She's got everyone know everything.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
It's therapy Thursday.

Speaker 7 (29:43):
Something else going on? No, no, no, no no. By
the time I got home from work, somebody had called
my wife instead that I was having lunch with some
strange woman.

Speaker 8 (29:52):
He really wants me.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
Then he will leave his wife and coming at me.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
And like you said, Therapy Thursday on the L and
K Morning Show, Coast one of three point five.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
I mean you are color twenty you just one.

Speaker 7 (30:04):
Thank you, thank you, Good morning, good morning.

Speaker 3 (30:12):

Coast one of three point five The Ellen k Morning Show.
Text us anytime at five one oh three five.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Every Monday and Wednesday, we read your letters to Ellen.
Shirley wrote to us about her best friend Christa. For years,
Sureley has had a nagging feeling that Christa's husband was
cheating on her, but Surely, being the friend that she has,
kept her mouth shut until one day she saw Hobby
with a woman clearly not just a colleague at a

(31:46):
Manhattan Beach ocean view restaurant? Have you ever done that?
Manhattan Beach is so it's so nice.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Yeah, it's very nice.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
You're looking out at the water.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
So far I'm hearing no concrete evidence, she said, I've
always had a nagging feeling.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Okay, so she said, Shirley said, she did a little digging,
found out who this woman was, and made a decision.
She's now second guessing. She sent her best friend Christa
an anonymous DM from a fence to account, telling her
I thought her husband might be cheating and with who?
So she investigated. She used her fake ins to Graham
to DM her supposed best friend to tell her about

(32:23):
this with no evidence. Yeah, okay, here's the problem. She
can't find any proof and now the anonymous letter itself
has become the crisis. So this DM is making her
friend crazy. She's upset, suspicious, and spiraling. So does Shirley
come clean or just stay quiet? Let's go to Lynette
and Harrison in the car together. Harrison is now has

(32:43):
his driver's permit driving Mama. Lynette, thanks guys for having
us on in the car. So, Lynnette, what do you
think that Shirley should do.

Speaker 8 (32:53):
I think she should just say listen, aren't we more
worried about whether your husband is cheating. Let's figure that
part out first and then we'll figure out the rest
and don't say anything until because she might stay with him.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Okay, So what are your instincts telling you? Is the
husband innocent or do you think something is going on?

Speaker 7 (33:14):
No, something is going on.

Speaker 8 (33:16):
You wouldn't be sitting in the beach looking at the
ocean with.

Speaker 7 (33:19):
Somebody that's no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 8 (33:21):
He's cheating. That's not the right thing to do as
a Mary cousin.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Harrison, aren't you happy year in high school?

Speaker 7 (33:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (33:33):
Harrison, what do you think he she should do?

Speaker 7 (33:35):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Don't tell it, tell her stay quiet.

Speaker 8 (33:40):
Stay quiet until you know the outcome.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Okay, all right, guys, thank.

Speaker 8 (33:45):
You, have a good day.
