Well, there are new details coming in about Savannah Guthrie's
missing mom. The brother in law could be the prime suspect.
According to TMZ, it's a stunning new twist and the
kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie anyway, There's a guy named Tomaso
Sioni is married to Savannah Guthrie's sister, living in the
same town and uh the two of the last people
(02:01):
to see Nancy on Saturday night. Annie reportedly had dinner
with Nancy that night. It's unclear if the you know,
the husband was there, which would be Savannah Gothrie's brother
in law. Investigators have towed Annie's car, which has some
connection to the husband, of course, and all the cameras
at Nancy's Tucson, Arizona home were smashed in Oh, so
(02:22):
the FBI is on it. And of course we just
were talking about that ransom. Note that Harvey Harvey Levin
was you know, reading on TMZ, so keep you up
to the minute on that. The latest Super Bowl ads
include a Sevenka vodka commercial that was made with AI,
and the company says, we're not celebrating AI, We're celebrating humans.

That's why we used AI so that we could all
be more human. Also, Scarlett Johanson, John Hammond, Bowe Yang
are shilling for Ritz Crackers and I am shilling for
Elf lip oil. So it is your glow Reviver lip
oil and you need to make your lips juicy with

Okay, let's go on. Billie Elish's house is on former
Native American land, and the tribe wishes she'd mentioned them
at the Grammy. She said, no one is illegal on
stolen land. Some people applauded her, others called her a hypocrite.
At least one Native America tribe wishes they got a
shout out. The Tongva tribe. They are the ancestral owner
of the land that Billy's multimillion dollar mansion is built on.
(04:07):
Our rep said, we do value the instance when public
figures provide visibility to the true history of this country,
and it is our hope that in future discussions, the
tribe can explicitly be referenced to ensure the public understands
that the Greater La Basin remains Tongva territory. All right,
what about this? The Muppet Show is back on ABC
and Disney Plus as a one off special. Tonight to
(04:29):
promote it, Miss Piggy was quote unquote arrested at a
concert by Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina also got together to promote
the show, and here she is. Well, she's with Kermit
and I don't know if this is really appropriate for
the Muppets.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
The L and K Morning Show cost one oh three
point five.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Top Stories Top of the Hour, Good morning, I'm llen
K and the House passing a one point two trillion
dollar spending package to end our partial government shutdown, which
thankfully lasted only several days as expected. The President signed
it in the oval, meaning all programs are now securely
funded through September. One of our state's largest unions is
calling for all way mos to be taken off our streets.
(08:58):
Teamsters California said to spend their license now. This after
our driverless taxi hit and injured a five year old
boy last week in Santa Monica. Thankfully he's going to
be okay. The union is pointing to a growing list
of recent crashes and overall errors, calling it a wake
up call for lawmakers. So far, no response from way MO.
And Melinda Gates reacted to the release of Jeffrey Epstein's
(09:19):
emails involving her ex husband Bill Gates. She says, that's
all on him.
Speaker 7 (09:25):
I'm in a really unexpected, beautiful place in my life,
So whatever questions remain there of what I don't can't
even begin to know all of it. Those questions are
for those people and from even my ex husband. They
need to answer to those things, not me.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Okay said that on a podcast. Hey and it's the
end of an era. Minute made officially saying goodbye to
the Frozen Juice can so many of us grew up
with Who're filling all the fields? After eighty years, the
company is ditching the entire frozen concentrate line, Orange Juice, Lemonade,
limemade pink Lemonade. They say it's because shoppers have moved
on to more convenient options. The phase out happening now,
(10:00):
so if you see it in stores, grab it while
you can get it. SI, I can, okay here any
what knows. Wednesday, we got to give big shout out
and totaltail wags to a actress, Alicia Silverstone. The clueless
star stepped up and saved a three year old terrier
mix who was scheduled to be put down at a
San Bernardino pound. Thing is this dog named Noel was
(10:22):
pregnant and wound up having twelve puppies just hours after
Alisha rescued her. So now Alicia's house is home to
four of those new babies too. We love our partnership

I run from the car to the office, from the
car to the house.
Speaker 9 (11:15):

Speaker 5 (11:16):
The Ellen k Morning Show on Coast one oh three
point five.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Right to Ellen for advice, because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 9 (11:23):
She is Ellen.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Okay. It's a letter to Ellen from Brandon All right, Brandon,
thank you for writing, and he says to us, thanks
for reading this. Dear Ellen, I need a ruling. Oh
so this is going to be like a court case.
Dear Ellen, I need a ruling because the other night
turned into a lot. I went to a friend's going
away party. He's moving overseas for a year. It's a
(11:49):
big deal, emotional vibes. It was supposed to be a
small party, ten or fifteen people, but word got around
and suddenly it was fifty or more. Twenty minutes later
after I arrived, a friend taps you on the shoulder
and says, hey, your ex just walked through the door.
This is the ex I broke up with not that
long ago because she wanted to get engaged and I
was not ready. Apparently someone helping organize the party invited her.
(12:12):
My buddy, the one where literally throwing the party for it,
comes over and says, hey, sorry, man, I should have
told you she might show up. So instead of awkwardly
hovering near the hummus dips and the charcuterie board, I
did what felt right in the moment. I left. Now
my buddy is upset with me. He wanted me there
for the toasts and the emotional goodbyes, and apparently I
(12:33):
missed out on the bon voyage cigars, plus the fact
that he's gone for a year. Did I overreact by
removing myself from the situation or was I supposed to
suffer through the elephant in the room my very recent
painful breakup. Nobody told me she might be there. Thanks
for reading this, Brandon. Now, yeah, that is Oker. As
my son Calvin used to say when he said awkward,
(12:54):
it was Uker. That is Oker. So you're at the party,
it's your buddy, and then there's your ex. No one
told you. I think that's uh. I don't even know
where to begin. I would flip the script and say
I'm mad at you for inviting my ex right or
not giving me the heads out?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
But would you have left? Would you leave? Yes, you
would leave.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
I don't know what I would do. It cause more
attention if you leave, Like everyone starts to notice you
know that you left, So it's driving more attention to it.
You know what, Mike, I think you're right about that. Like,
if you do remove yourself, everyone's like, hey, what happened
to Brandon?
Speaker 8 (13:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (13:30):
Plus it almost gives the person who stayed the upper
hand like they're the bigger person. They were able to
be in the space you weren't able to take it.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Brand in the bailor listen.
Speaker 10 (13:37):
As someone who works down the hall from my ex,
I will say this, you got to do it on
your time, when you're both ready. If there's a time
to be in the same space, you have to make
sure that you are okay to do that. So you
can't judge what Brandon did. That's how we felt.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Okay. So you think he's okay for leaving, I do.
Mike says, no, it takes more shack smart.
Speaker 9 (13:55):
If he's not.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Ready to be there with her, then he's not ready.
And only he knows that.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
M my buddy, the one we're literally throwing the party
four it comes over and says, sorry, man should have
told you she might show up.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
That's that's bad. That's a whole different conversation.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
I left. Now my buddy's upset with me, and it
looks like the buddy moved to Germany. So now there's
just Ice right there with the buddy and Ice with
everyone else. Everyone's upset. So did Brandon overreact or was
he supposed to suffer through the going away party. It's
eight hundred and ninety two nine Kost. Call us if
you've ever been in the situation, if you have any
(14:33):
help for Brandon, what Ryan.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
The phone's already going y right three point five.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
It's Letters to Ellen.
Speaker 9 (14:42):
She's a cheater. She was in contact with this full
if her daughter in law finds out what she has
done on your show and never will be healed. And
she's cute and I wear the same output and it
looks better on her because I hang a little lower.
Speaker 5 (14:55):

Good morning, coach, one of three point five. Thank you
for being up with us and Ellen. There's Ryan Hey,
good morning social Queen Darley, good morning.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
You got friding me, You've gotta friending me.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
The Ellen k Morning Show on Coast one O three
point five light in the best mites of the eighties nineties.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
And today got a letter from Brandon. It's your letters allan.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
She is Ellen.
Speaker 8 (15:57):
All right.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Brandon is in a situation with his buddy.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
It's not good.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
So he wrote us a letter and he said, thank
you for reading this. Dear Ellen. I need a ruling
because the other night turned into a lot. I went
to my buddy's going away party. He's moving overseas for
a year. It's a big deal. It's emotional. We're all
going to miss him. It was supposed to be a
small thing, maybe ten people, but word got around it
was suddenly fifty or so friends. About twenty minutes after
(16:25):
I arrived at friend Tapsy on the shoulder and casually drops, hey,
your ex just walk through the door. And this is
the ex I broke up with not that long ago.
She wanted to get engaged. I wasn't ready, So I'm
standing there stunned. My buddy, the one we're literally throwing
the party four, comes over and says, sorry, man, I
should have told you she might show up. Apparently someone
helping organize the party invited her instead of awkwardly hovering
(16:47):
near the hummus dip and charcuterie board. I did what
felt right in the moment. I left, And now my
buddy's upset with me. He wanted me there for the
toasts and the roasts and the goodbyes and apparently the
bon Voyage cigars, plus the fact that he's gone for
a year. Did I overreact by removing myself from the situation?
Brandon and Ryan, you had a great, you know, insight
(17:10):
on this because you have an X down the hall
and it was hard for a long long time to
be even in the same hallway. So you think it's
okay for Brandon to just leave.
Speaker 10 (17:21):
Sometimes we have to protect our peace and sometimes you know,
they're saying it's an overreaction, but maybe he left to
avoid an actual overreaction.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Do you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 10 (17:29):
Yeah, you both have to be ready to come back
to that space peacefully and happily, comfortably together.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
No one else condicted, Well, she was ready, the ex
was ready, the ex knew he would be there, but
he's not, and no one else can dictate that. I
like what Darlene said earlier this morning. Dara said, and
you said I would I would leave to make a statement.
Speaker 11 (17:48):
Yeah, I would want people to know I left because
I was uncomfortable. And also, how dare the friend invite
the X, Like, what's.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
That all about?
Speaker 10 (17:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
What is that all about? Why is she there? And
he doesn't seem like he's the only one who didn't
know she would be there? And plus it was supposed
to be small, and then it just grew and swelled
and then there she was. Okay, Well the buddy's gone.
He went to Germany and Brandon missed all the hoopla
around there. Hey, goodbye, We'll see it in a year. Patricia,
(18:18):
Canoga Park, We're getting so many calls about this letter
to Ellen. What do you think?
Speaker 9 (18:23):
I think that it was very uncole for his friend
to blindside him that way. You know, you should. We
don't know exactly what his what his feelings about that
woman were, but he obviously was shaken and he had
to be right to leave, and his friends should understand,
or if he should tell his friends. You know, that
(18:44):
was uncool for you to blindside me like that. You
shouldn't let me know.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
That she was going to be there.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
I wonder if the friend they were throwing the party
for kind of got her like a little thrill out
of it.
Speaker 9 (18:55):
You know, that's the possibility. People are funny like that.
Speaker 10 (18:58):
Or maybe he's just oblivit and didn't think it was
a big deal. He's probably friends with both of them.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
An oblivious guy's probably more like it.
Speaker 9 (19:04):
You know, that's very possible. Yeah, I mean, do you
want to be able to make a choice. Then he
could have said, you know what, I'm not going to
be You can have whoever you want there. I personally
account attend well.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
I love letters to Ellen because I don't know that
Brandon could talk to any of his friends about it.
So he wrote us a letter, and he's getting so
many great calls and good advice.
Speaker 9 (19:28):
Yes, definitely I love your call in letters too.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Thank you so much, Patricia.
Speaker 9 (19:33):
Oh, thank you, Ellen, Thanks Ryan, thank.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
You, have a great day.
Speaker 9 (19:38):
You two bye bye.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
If it was a girl who left the party and
she wrote us a letter, it would have been so
everyone would be supporting her. How dare your ex?
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Show up?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
And are you okay? And look, we'll see each other.
I'm only going to be in Germany, you know what
I mean. It would just be so different. But when
it's a guy, it's like, dude, where'd you go?
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yep, everyone's okay, man, get over it.
Speaker 9 (20:01):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
It's like I mean, men have feelings too, we do.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Thank you, Ellen, You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
I'm just saying it would be totally different.
Speaker 10 (20:09):
If it was a girl, they'd throw another party, like
a sorry party exactly.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
It would be a whole Poor Brandon. I'm so happy
you wrote to us, Brandon, So keep your calls coming
for Brandon. Brandon bailed. He's the bailer, and we've got
some bucks for you. We're gonna give you a thousand
dollars plus we're gonna hook you up. So good for
the big game coming up. Keep it here to win.
Speaker 6 (20:29):
The ellen K.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Morning Show on Coast one oh three point.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Five tough Stories top of the hour. Good morning, I'm
ellen K and the Winter Olympics getting underweight today in
Milan with mixed Devils curling two days before the opening ceremony.
One Men's skating competitor will be spending today next week
working on his routines. Figure skater named Tomas loreenk Guarino
sabate capturing hearts everywhere with his Minions inspired routine, which
(20:55):
features him performing to a medley of music from Despicable
Me and Minions while dressed the Minion's signature uniform blue
overalls and a yellow shirt. But the Spanish skater ran
into some trouble when Universal Studios blocked him from using
the soundtrack for his routine. Well, I got to tell
you something. Because of fans complaining, now he has been
given permission. Universal Studios said, hey, we're going to grant you.
(21:19):
You can use this music. After all this mounting public pressure.
Can't wait to see him skate. Okay, more venues have
just been announced for the twenty eight Summer Games here

Speaker 6 (22:08):
Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Brandon was uncomfortable. He left his buddies going away party
early because his ex showed up. Had the tables been
turned and it was a girl who wrote us this letter,
that never would have happened. The buddy would not be upset.
The friend would just be like, I'm so sorry you
had to go through that. My bad for not telling
you your ex would show up.
Speaker 10 (22:28):
They would have been rallying around her, sitting on a curb,
crying outside. Sorry, you were triggered the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
So Brandon writes us a letter to Ellen because he
