Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
And joining us now is Danny Noles from the Knowles
Financial Group and a guy that has been around for
a long time and he you don't stay around long, Danny,
when you're not successful. You guys are really helping a
lot of people out.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
We are we are.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
We're a veteran owned business here in Birmingham. I spent
thirteen years in the military and we spent a lot
of time working with the military and our client base.
So being a veteran owned company is important to us,
and we spend a lot of time working on a
lot of clients in multi markets.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
At what part of the military were you in, because
there's a big base for our audience. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I was an Army captain in the army, spent thirteen
years doing that.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Well, thank you very much for your service. My father
in law just passed away was a military army guy.
He was so army for retired army and you know,
he just loved it. So that's good family business too.
Your son works with you. Three sons work for us.
They've been doing it ever since they got out of school.
So the last one just came on two years ago.
Talan and they're on our weekly radio show that runs
(01:03):
on your station. Yeah, we're on in Huntsville. This show
also runs here in Birmingham and also Gadsden and Tuscaloosa.
And you've got you mentioned multiple markets. Just expanding in Dallas.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
So we've been in Dallas for about four years. Oh okay, okay,
but we were really expanding the market. I just hired
a new group out there yesterday, and so we spent
a lot of time working with these individuals and growing
their practice and grow in our practice and creating markets
for them.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Let's talk about your philosophy when it comes to helping people,
you know, planning the future financially their investments, and you
know you personalize it for each customer.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
What do you mean by that? Well, that's really easy.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
First of all, we're a holistic planning firm, so we
don't have a cookie color option for anyone. So we
set down individually, go through We normally start with a
phone interview. If they call in from the show or
call in from a referral, we do a phone interview.
Then we envite them in for a one on one
and we.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Go through that.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
We have a process that we take them through and
then if they like what we are doing for them,
if we've cut their expenses, if we increase their returns,
or we manage their portfolio better and it's being managed,
then we ask them to implement that process and move
to our firm. We believe in two things really that
we provide our clients. Number One, the most important thing
(02:22):
is with anybody that you meet in your life is
creating a personal relationship. Once you generate or create that
personal relationship, then they can pick up the phone and
call you at any given time, ask you any given
question without it hurting you. The second most important thing
that our firm offers, not through our philosophy, is creating
the best service or providing the best service than you
(02:42):
ever had. We don't want it to be the old
ron Co set it and forget it. We want to
communicate with the clients, keep them up to data, and
keep them involved in their portfolio. I'm the advisor. I'm
not the owner of the money. It's their money, their drive,
their ambition, and their motivation of how they want their
money to go. So we manage that and we make recommendations,
and if they like those recommendations, we make the transition,
(03:05):
or we make the trades, or we implement the income
need that they need and we grow it like that.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I like how you said, it's their money. You're the
advisor and together you come together. Yeah, you know, they
tell you the plan they'd like to see, you know,
long term, and you go, well, here's the best way
to get there.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Here's your roadmap success. Really, the biggest thing that we
do is we take the if in the life out
of the equation. Everybody's got a if in life? What
if this happens? What if that happened? And life happens,
So we take the if in life out of the process.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
You know, investing in you know, financial investment is scary
for people that don't do that, and you know, I
liking it. Going into a court room. You don't want
to go in alone because it can be intimidating and scary.
If you're going to plan a financial future and investments,
you don't want to try and navigate through yourself. Get
a professional. And I think your track record speaks for
itself with the success you've had for so many people
(03:55):
in so many different parts of the country, you know,
especially here in Alabama that you know, I highly recommend.
They certainly call you, and you know it may be
intimidating or scary at first, but you know, when you
get somebody like yourself and your team, you know, all
of a sudden. I've talked to a couple of them.
They said, I was nervous going in, but I tell you,
when I left their office, I felt so comfortable about it.
(04:17):
You know.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, And that's the biggest thing feel making people feel
at ease. And it's like you said, if you have
numbers in masks, then your confident level becomes more confident
in what you do every day. So with our team,
I mean, we got a team of six people that
work directly from my firm. We've got a total of
eighty five employees that work totally for us, doing their
(04:39):
own individual thing. But my team and my management style
is hands on, create that personal relationship, create the service
they need, and provide them a good product.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
And a lot of people say it's never too late
to start saving plan ahead.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
So I had a.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Couple call me this week. They're in their seventies. They said, hey,
we want to.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Meet with you.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
I'm like, okay, yeah, let's see what we can do.
So we need to figure it out.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
You work with anybody that has any level of income
from you know, thirty grand a year making three million
dollars a year, and can you advise anybody any age.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
You know, here's our philosophy.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
We feel like everybody has the opportunity to invest, and
we don't turn them out. If you're twenty two years
old starting out and you've got three hundred dollars a month,
we've got a memory on our team that'll help you
manage that. If you if you're a three million dollar
asset gatherer and you want to meet with me directly
and we'll build a plan around that. Everybody has the
(05:36):
ability to invest, and we don't leave them around. We
have no limits. It's just like when you come out
of college and you're looking for a job, you have
no experience. Well, investing is the same concept. You know,
if you don't get it, if you don't have anybody
to direct you on how to invest, and you get
no experience.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
We focus on growing people's experience.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Well, I got to tell you your customers and their
success speak for your business and your professional and I
love the fact that you're military and you've got family
and the Knowles Group folks.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
If you're beginning or you wouldn't like to.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
