the gymnastics team and Simone Biles and all of them,
congratulations they grabbed the gold. If you missed it yesterday.
But Mackenzie, my producer, we call her Mac now. I
love that old nickname. That's kind of cool. That's what
you go by. Your friends call you Mac.

I like it. I like it. Well. Mac and I
were talking yesterday after we had a guest on, a
retired squad commander about the Donald Trump situation and the
venue there in Butler, Pennsylvania and outside Field really in
a rural area, PA. And what to do if you're
going to one of these events to you know, kind
of keep safe. And one was, you know, make sure

your cell phone is one hundred percent charge. You never know,
you might end up in the spot somewhere trying to
hide and you need to get hold of somebody and
let them know what's going on. But one of the
things that came up was you're obviously not going to
be able to take a weapon in there unless you're
you know, a criminal and you sneak around, but to
have something to protect your off in case you do
end up getting attacked physically one on one fight or whatever.

And one of those things was a tactical pen, which
we immediately googled, you know, after we went to commercial Amazon.
I mean, so we looked at it like, oh, this
thing looks pretty bad. This is pretty awesome here, So
you got one.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
It'll be at my apartment tomorrow, so nobody mess with me.
I'm telling you I got a tactical pin on its way.

Which one did you get? Because I saw a couple
of different ones, but there was, you know, one that
was had on the on the one end where you
push the button to write the pen, it was kind
of a metal point where you break glass.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
That's so that's the exact one I got.

Okay. Oh so the other one, okay, on the other
end of that where they you know, the ink would
normally come out, it looked like a little like stabber
needles or.

Something going on replacements, which is crazy.

Hey, you put one in some guy's neck, I would
imagine that one.

I'm excited. Hopefully I don't have to use it, but
I'm excited to have it.

might be schooled on these, you know, yeah, a little.

Well, it does kind of surprise me that you can
get through TSA with those, right, But I guess that's
a good thing.

Yeah you did. You kind of search around to Amazon
a little bit more to see what the next.

Level they get expensive? There's levels of these things, like
they there were some that were sixty dollars.

Yea, sixty bucks? What's that come with? Like it's Swiss
army now Swiss army pen? It was.

I was confused, honestly. It was kind of beyond me
once I got to that level of them.

Simone embarrassing, you know, like I told you, I thought
it was live last night. I was like, that's crazy
there four am.

Yeah, Judy and I were talking about that too. She goes,
I swear I watched this earlier this morning. I said, well,
if you were watching it live, you know, because you
can get a live feed on it. Yeah, when it's
happening during the middle of the day. But they're like,
what in Paris right now, it's you know, threeh eight
pm this afternoon, so what's at seven hours ahead? Right?

So yeah, last night as we're watching it, that discussion
came up. I said, I think it's like three in
the morning there. Now, I don't think this is live.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yeah, I'm texting all my friends so excited.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah. She's like, well, that's why it looks so familiar
to me. I watched it earlier today. You know what happened?
So and she I said, don't tell me, I want
to watch. But here's what happened. They did win the
Golden Here are the five girls on the team, including
Simone Biles, talking about it.

We showed them that we can do it with the
proper training. Mentally, and physically, yeah, we did. This is
a metal of hard work and dedication and this Redemption
Tour was definitely golden.

I can say we picked.

Each other up, lifted each other up when we needed it.
So it just felt amazing to be back out here.
And this medal is absolutely insane. I literally cannot stop smiling.
But yeah, it was so fun and I'm so happy
right now. This means everything to me. I'm super lucky
to be a part of this team and we all
worked so hard and I'm just so proud of everyone
who gave it there all today. We've all worked so

hard for this and I'm just so happy to be
here and the experience was so amazing competing, so I'm
very excited and can't wait to do more.
