Kevin Flannagan previews new movies this week

Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT getting ready for the big
Fourth of July weekend, A big movie opening up this weekend.
To take a look at this and some others streaming
for us. Kevin Flanning at our movie guy is here.
So Jurassic World Rebirth. This looks like a big one.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
It is. Yeah, this is the seventh in the Jurassic movies,
and this is the head of the two trilogies, and
this is a standalone so as a new one. What
they've decided to do is they've gotten away from all
the old storylines. Are none of the former actors or actresses,
there's none of They're not on the same islands there.
It's just new. The only thing that they decided to
keep was dinosaurs. So there's an island where the dinosaurs

that didn't make it to the Jurassic Park. That's where
they had them. This is where they started all the
experiments and the ones that went bad they left on
this island. Well, a drug company has discovered that those
biggest dinosaurs that ever lived have some qualities that can
maybe it's your heart disease. So they're going to try
to get some DNA, create some medicine. Well, they're not
supposed to be on this island, so you've got a

group of adventures. There's sneak get in. They're going to
get those big dinosaurs, or maybe they're gonna be gotten
those by those big dinosaurs. But anyway, this is fun,
this is exciting, and it'll be number one. It is
not for the kids. There are frightening scenes people getting
eaten and grabbed and you know, but it will be
everything you expect from Jurassic So I highly recommend this
is a good, fun summer blockbuster film.

All right, that'll be the big win. All Right. Some
movies streaming for us. Josh de Mel, Greg Kannear Love
those Guys, an action thriller called Off the Grid. What's
this all about?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, So Josh is a scientist who invents a hold
in your hand power source that can power a country,
which seems pretty phenomenal. But anyway, he finds out and
instead of using it to wipe out world hunger, his
bosses died. They're going to put to work for military purposes.
So we've kind of seen this before, but he's not
going to do it, so he grabs the technology take

talk for place in the world where they cannot find him,
and while he's hiding out there, makes friends with his
little community, build himself a little hot. But then his
old boss is figure out where he is and they're
going to come get that from him unless he can
stop them. So it's a good action thriller with a
little bit of science fiction behind it, but very fun movie.
And another one that is directly streaming right now, so

That, all right, very good. It seems to be the
weekend for action thrillers. Another one called Heads of State.
John Cena is in this one, how about it?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, John Cena is the President of the United States,
and I'm not sure I'm opposed to that anyway. But
also Idris Ilba is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
These guys don't get along with each other, but they
both have past histories as John Cena was an action
movie star actually, and then Ris Ilba was a SS
trained commando. So these guys are on a plane flight together,

plane gets shot down. They're the only two, well the
two of the few that survive, and they've discovered that
there is a conspiracy around the world trying to get
rid of those two leaders, so they've got to figure
out how to work together. Their assistants going to work
with them, and they're going to take over. They're going
to take on the entire bad people in the world
and let's do wins from all, right, But anyway, there
are three movies coming out this weekend with great action
