Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT joining us now Kevin Flanning
in our movie. You got to take a look at
three new movies opening up this weekend. Let's start with
the family fun movie from Angel Studios called Sketch. What's
this one all about?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah? Best movie little we can thank JT or New
Movie of the Weekend. This is about a little girl
who likes to draw and her single dad and she
lived together, and you know the typical kind of stuff
going on as a dad tries to raise a little
girl on his own and is busy trying to keep
their life together and keep things moving. And as Angel
Studios does, they create a good, warm atmosphere even with

(00:33):
the tensions. It's rated PG so everybody can enjoy it.
This little girl loves to sketch, and hence the name.
She drops her sketch book in a pond which looks
like a disaster, but turns out this is a really
special pond because every sketch in her book begins to
come alive. So you got you know, when little kids
draw a human, typically they forget the boy. They got
a big eyeball in some lakes, Well, that thing comes

(00:54):
alive in the middle of town. So the community is
trying to figure out what do we do with these
strange critters that are showing up, and just a lot
of relational fun and cruter fun and all that kind
of stuff. Angel Studios has pulled off a beautiful Disney
with a purpose and very wholesome film with sketch.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Sounds pretty good, all right. Also PG Jamie Lee, Curtis,
Lindsay Lohan, Mark harmon Freaky or Friday. So is this
a continuation of Freaky Friday?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah? So, speaking of Disney, this is their latest release.
Two thousand and three, they put out Freaky Friday. This
is the sequel. As we remember mom and daughter going
into the Chinese restaurant getting swapped. They now we've got mom,
daughter and granddaughter. Jamie Lee and Lindsay Lohan still a
mom and daughter and their granddaughter all end up getting
swapped on a Freaky Friday. And of course Jamie Lee

(01:42):
and Lindsay Lohan remember what it was like and how
to survive it. So they're trying to coach the granddaughter
on how to pretend you're who you're not. And it's
a lot of fun and tradeed PG. I think moms
and daughters will have a lot of fun seeing this
movie as well. Anybody else who liked Freaky Friday back
in the day.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
All right, And finally, horror mystery thriller. Is this a
good movie? Weapons?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeahs a matter of fact, I think they like to
call themselves a psychological horror and it is because it'll
mess with your mind. But in the middle of the night,
seventeen of the eighteen students in the same class end
up running out to a field and disappearing, and the
community is trying to figure out where are our kids,
everybody from the sheriff who lost a child right on
down to the school teacher who may be being blamed

(02:25):
for something happening to all those kids. So it will
mess with your mind. And there's some very frightening stuff
that happens in here. But one child, all the rest gone,
and everybody's got to figure out where they want. Hey,
there's something for everybody at the theaters this weekend, So
you got no excuse to sit at home and not
go catch a movie.
