I'll just knock their block off. I like the I'm
the red guy since I'm a Republican, or well, let
me take that back. I used to be a Republican.
I don't know what I am anymore, but I like
to knock the blue guy ahead all the time, so
(00:31):
I'm taking the red.
Speaker 1 (01:19):

iHeartMedia dot com. I do enjoy getting the occasional old
fashioned electronic mail message. Now, before I get to anything real,
(02:46):
real serious, I do want to report on something from
my private life. From my private life, I want you
to know that I did something I haven't done in
a long long time last night, and please stop speculating,
Please do not speculate on what it could have been,
because I'm going to tell you what I did last
(03:07):
night that I hadn't done in a long long time
was go to a movie theater. Yes, I went to
a movie theater and I saw the New Superman movie.
Because yes, I'm even old people like me. We Superman's
been around since the nineteen thirties, so I've me and
(03:27):
Superman have been around roughly the same amount of time,
give or take a few years. So I've been keeping
up with him back when he was on radio, when
he was on TV with George Reeves, all the different things.
He was in the newspaper, comics, he was in comic books.
And so I asked another old guy like me, Norman.
Norman and I went and saw the Superman movie and
(03:50):
we walked out of the theater and gave it a review.
So here in case you were thinking about taking your kids,
or your grandkids or your great grandkids, or maybe you're
an infantile adult and you wanted to see it, here
is our review of the new Superman movie that so
many people have been arguing about. This is the Uncle Henry.
This is the Uncle Henry show review of the new
(04:13):
Superman movie that I just We just walked out of
the movie, me and Norman after watching it in the
Westmobile Movie theater. Glad to report no shootings in the
parking lot before or after the film. Now, Norman, overall,
please displeased your thoughts on Superman.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Well, it was different. I mean that fellow, He's no
George Reeves by any mean no, but it was. It
was like the other movie. It was colorful and a
lot of fistfighting, a lot of there was a lot
of fighting, a lot of dog. The dog was fun,
dog was enjoyable. It acted like a dog, really did,
(04:55):
but it was a super dog.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Now, now I appreciated the fighting. It's a male you
enjoy seeing good people beating up bad people. That's always
reassuring to see the good beat the bad. But Norman,
something that really bothered me is that in this Superman movie,
I constantly heard the S word, the cussword. The not
(05:18):
the Superman word S, I mean the S cussword. They
said the S cuss word over and over again in
a Superman movie that you're going to take kids to.
I even heard one I heard and I apologize for
this abbreviation. They used the word a hole in the
Superman movie. Why can't we see a movie with Superman
(05:40):
in it without people cussing?
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yeah, it was a shame and a disgraceful that, you know,
to take kids to it. But the thing is, nowadays
kids see worse thing that on TV, and that's what's
sad A Superman is supposed to be for truth, justice
and still the American way, they took that out that
they didn't want to be a American. They just try to,
I don't know it, insert liberalism and everything. It's supposed
(06:07):
to be family entertainment, and you're right they didn't. I
mean it was the bad language did nothing to further
the plot of the movie in my opinion.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Now, also one minor this is and no, we're not
spoiling the movie for you. You the listener that wants
to go see this. It's like watching somebody play a
video game. Really, just just if you ever watch the
kids play a video game, it's kind of like watching that.
But the the parents are it's sit in Kansas, the
farmers in Kansas talking about Superman's parents. But they sounded
(06:41):
like they were they could have been in Theodore.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Yeah. I didn't like that too much. It didn't sound
very kandasy they did. They sounded like me talking out there.
They did sound like a bunch of hill billies. But
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Superman's dad was very much like you. Only you're you're
you're a little more masculine than his dad.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
You had more facial hair, So I don't know if
you could say that on them.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Well, they were very emotional, the men in this movie.
Now that's one thing that is modern about this Superman.
The men are. They are very emotive except for mister Terrific.
Everybody else has got a lot of emotion.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Yeah, all the women were pretty all I had a
bunch of pretty young ladies in there, all over the place.
But that's the only thing that was good about They
wasn't any nudity. There wasn't any you know, a whole
bunch of other garbage other than the bad language. And
you could take the family to it except for the words.
But like I said, you hear worse stuff than that
(07:40):
on television.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
But regardless, Well, anyway, if you like watching video games,
you'll enjoy the New Superman movie. And as Norman and
I have explained, there are cuss words because in modern
times everything is a little bit more Luciferian. All right,
And that is the Uncle Henry Show review. I'm sure
they'll make a bunch more of these. That is the
Uncle in Show review of the New Superman film. And
(08:04):
there's not much more to add. It does disappoint me.
People will say, oh, well, kids hear this, They hear
that kind of language on television. They just hear it
every day. It's just part of society. That doesn't make
it right. It doesn't make it right that everybody is
slinging cusswords left and right in our modern society. Don't
(08:27):
tell me modern modern times. Just because it's modern, don't
mean it's good. And I would love to be able
to take a grand child to a Superman movie where
there's not cusswords dropping here, there and everywhere. I'm glad.
I don't think Superman cussed. I hope he didn't. But anyway,
(08:52):
if you can tolerate watching a video game, that's what
it's like. Ten WNT Uncle Henry Show, News Radio seventy
(09:22):
ten w n TM News headlines coming up in ten
minutes from Fox ten's Lenise Lagon and Fox Radio National News.
We'd like to call the show about something two five
one four seven nine two seven two three. That's two
five one four seven nine two seven two three. Hello Collor, Oh,
(09:46):
Henry L. D. The Mad Trucker Man.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
I'm enjoying the retirement life. Oh look, uh did you
go that movie with Norman? Which which theater was it
or can you say it.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Was the one out in Westmobile and Chillinger?
Speaker 6 (09:59):
Yeah you didn't.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
Your wife, huh?
Speaker 1 (10:01):
She she does not want to watch children's movies. She
she'd rather watch adult you know. She she's not. She's
not gonna watch a childish thing where a man is
dressed in his underwear beating on monsters.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
Oh okay.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
I thought, well, maybe if you know, those seats are
like air for a line seats, you can't get a
big woman in there. So I figured that maybe your
wife was too fat to sit in the theater.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
You sick freak. How dare you attack my my newly
newly acquired wife, you freak, you're sick attacking my wife?
Who's my wife? I would I would call my wife petite.
She's petite, you freak. Listener. I apologize for this. It's
(10:45):
l D. We're just gonna have to. I guess I'm
gonna have to ask you, the listener, to pray. I
know you've got to. If you listen to this show,
you probably have a prayer list, and at the end
of the nine before you go to bed, you probably
get down on your your knees by your bedside, and
(11:05):
you you have a prayer list of people you're praying for.
Put l D on the list. Put him on the list.
This is a this is a sickness. It's a I
imagine visually when I visualize l D. I I imagine
him with kind of a snakelike demon wrapped around his
(11:29):
spine all the way up to his head and into
his brain. That's what I'm visualizing. He's possessed. And I
don't know exactly what what type of possession it is,
but it's gotta be demonic. It's gotta it's got to
come from Lucifer. It's got to come from the devil
that he would do this. It's a it's a it's
a it is as it is such a sick thing
(11:51):
to do to think about other to the to think
about the female relatives of another man, To think about
the female relatives of another man and try to think
of things that would be disgusting to say about him,
things that would be harmful to their minds and their hearts.
To think about that kind of thing, it's disgusting. It's
(12:12):
the word sick is the one word that keeps coming
forward in my mind. It's a psychosis, a pathological psychosis.
I'm gonna have to bring in another psycho, you know,
I might. I think I'm reaching out to a psychologist
about this. I want somebody to explain the psychology of
(12:34):
what is going on with poor LD. Because I've seen him.
I've seen him do good works. He probably doesn't like
me to talk about it, and I won't at this
point because he's been a sleeves bag on the phone,
but I off the air, I've seen him do charitable,
philanthropical things, helping people that need help, people less fortunate
(12:55):
than him. Now does he talk about their mama or
their wife again? Listener, I apologize. I know you tuned in.
You thought you'd hear something newsy or something news adjacent,
something like that. You didn't. You probably tuned in you
didn't want to hear an old man screaming I bet
his very petite wife. All right? Anyway, please you the
(13:22):
listener that has a prayer list, put LD on the
prayer list include his name and pray for a healing
and a release from the demonic. Pray that he be
emancipated from the demon that has chained around his heart
and his soul and his brain and his tongue. Two
(13:45):
five one four seven nine two seven two three. The
telephone number here on the Uncle Henry Show, that's two
five to one four seven nine two seventy two three.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
Hello caller, Hello, Uncle Henry is the Bama Busshog. How
you doing today's Sir.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Bamba bush Hog? What is on your well?
Speaker 6 (14:01):
And you know that that billow JD. He may need
an exorcism whatever its main is LD.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Yes, he does need an exercism.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
Yeah, I mean maybe maybe we can find one. And
there ain't no Yellow Pages anymore, but maybe you can
find one online locally, that coming exercise that denon out
of the fellow.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
You know, I've never thought to look up an exorcist.
I think I might have to do that and see
what what happens.
Speaker 6 (14:28):
Well, that might do a good thing for you man.
That way you won't have to deal with that aggravation anymore.
But look at here. The reason why I'm calming is
that I found out that today the Crescent Theater downtown
mobile was locked up, chained up clothes. Have you heard
about that?
Speaker 1 (14:43):
No, I don't know anything about it.
Speaker 6 (14:45):
It's right across the street from the Peanut Shot in downtown. Well,
look at here, some fell over in Pennsytila owns the
place John Switzer or something they say hates mobile.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Well, miss, now, wait, now, wait before you say that.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
Who'sday a lot of folks on Facebook that I've been
checking out?
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Oh okay, all right, So okay, just because you're already,
you're already putting an attitude in the man. We don't
really know that for sure, but you've read on Facebook
that other people are claiming that he doesn't like mobile.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
Yes, sir, not only that, the manager of the Crescent Theater,
mister Trey Williams, has been running the place and hiring
like fourteen fifteen year old kids and paying them out
of his own pocket just to get them off the
streets and give him a job. He is a really
good man. I talked to him today. As a matter
of fact, he gave me some more information about this
(15:43):
owner in Pensacola, which I'll get into tomorrow because he's
coming over tomorrow to be interviewed by Mobile Play at
Radio and we're going to get to the bottom of
why they close the theater down.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Oh so you're going to interview the guy that you've
just said hates mobile, So make that the first question.
Ask him no.
Speaker 6 (16:03):
Hate nobile. I'm gonna talk to the man here and mobile,
Trey Williams.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Oh, okay, all right, well then ask him if the
guy hates mobile.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
Well I did that today, but you know, I just
don't want to go out here to say right there. Well,
it'll be on Facebook tomorrow on on my on my
mobile private radio page.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
All right. So you so if people want to see
this interview with the guy that's running the theater, they
need to look up. Where do they find it? On Facebook?
Speaker 6 (16:33):
Mobile, Pirate radio.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Mobile pirate Radio? All right? Well, Bamba bush Hawk, thank you.
I appreciate you calling the show.
Speaker 6 (16:42):
You very have a great day. And Roll tied tied Roll.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Yes, that he he he he got the information on
what people were saying on Facebook. I'm trying to think,
is Facebook, Can we trust what people are typing in
on Facebook? That's a question for you to answer for yourself.
(17:09):
Can you trust what you see people typing in on
Facebook as they characterize somebody the guy? The guy may
not hate mobile, he may have some other issues or
none at all. But we'll all find out, I guess
after this investigation by the Alabama bush Hog years ago.
(17:34):
I do remember when we had investigative reporters that went
out and investigative news stories. Now we've got bush hogs
on social media interviewing people. That's the news. In twenty
twenty five, it says the Uncle Henry Show on news
(18:15):

on FM radio. I'm on news radio. I'm not on

seven two three. That's two five one four seven nine
two seven two three. Email address Uncle Henry at iHeartMedia
dot com. That's Uncle Henry at iHeartMedia dot com. Now,
(19:19):
there are a couple of social media trends, a couple
of social media things that have gone viral in the
past few weeks that bring up this a concept to me,
if I'm wondering if people are just getting dumber and dumber,
and I include myself in this, but are people are we?
(19:42):
Are we dropping in IQ across the board in Western countries,
especially the United States of America. Now, the two trends
that I'm bringing up to you right now, one of
them has reported in The New York last week or
earlier this week, is a new trend called freeze branding,
(20:09):
where people are freeze They're taking a design and they're
and they're they're freezing it and liquid nitrogen and then
they're using it to brand that design on their body.
They're just like you would brand a cow. They're they're
(20:33):
freeze branding, using extreme cold to permanently brand themselves. Now, why,
what's what's what's going on? Why would anybody want to
do this? Why? Who? Who would want the pain of
(20:55):
branding themselves freeze branding themselves? Now, dermatologists, of course, are
warning people that this is this is you can get
you can uh, you can get it a deep infection
from this. You can permanently damage the skin by doing this.
(21:16):
Freeze branding. Now, what is what's why are people having
such disregard for themselves? Is this a general loss of
self regard across a society that we don't care enough
about ourselves. Back when I was a youngster, there was
always the preaching of your body as a temple and
(21:38):
treat it nicely. And now people are branding themselves like
cows do people? People just have less regard for themselves.
I guess. So that's one trend. This is spreading and
dermatologists and other people are trying to calm people down
and tell them not to do it. Freeze branding. Now,
(22:01):
there's another thing that's been going viral. I don't know
if it's happened locally. You've probably already heard about this.
A lot of major TV shows have done reports on this.
It is a teenage kick the door challenge. Now you've
heard of tide pod challenge and all these different social
media challenges years ago, people eating tide pods. That was
(22:24):
really stupid. Well, the kick the door challenge has caused
police departments around the country to issue warnings. In fact,
let me see, I think I have one here. Let
me go into my my email inbox, because I had
(22:48):
one email to me earlier, this warning from a police department.
It's called the door kicking challenge. Now what it is
as teenagers in cities around the country are getting together
in groups and they're running up to people's front doors
and they are kicking and banging on the doors late
at night while recording it on TikTok or other social
(23:13):
media apps, trying to get as many reactions as they can.
And this is this has been a law enforcement around
the country has been warning people not to do this.
Let's see. The warning I've got here came from somewhere.
I don't know if it was the Houston Police Department,
(23:33):
but the warning says that the the TikTok trend involves
in individuals teenagers kicking or banging on doors, usually late
at night. It is imperative that individuals partaking in the
trend understand that even if no burglary or theft occurs,
this is illegal, considered vandalism, and can lead to serious
(23:54):
criminal charges and more. More critically, it can be mistaken
can as an attempted break in, potentially prompting dangerous defensive
responses from homeowners. Now you can imagine in this part
of the country if people started doing this, if people
(24:16):
started going, if this were spreading locally, can you imagine
what people would do? This is incredibly dangerous for teenagers
to go and try and just bust on people's doors.
There is no telling what kind of weapon is on
the other side of that door in South Alabama that
(24:39):
would be ready to dispatch whoever is kicking on that door.
To me, even even dumber than eating a tide pod,
although that's close even dumber than eating a tide pod.
So what is this? Is it again? Is it less
regard for our se elves? Is it the IQ is dropping?
(25:05):
Just generally nobody's raising the kids. The adults are busy
having their own fun because they don't want to grow
up themselves, and so they're having their own fun, and
the kids are left to try and figure out things
on their own. And there is it? Are we just
having lower IQs? I'm trying what is it? There's something
(25:26):
like this every week popping up. What is it.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
Now?
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Leading into now? Coming out of this. So you've heard
of this. So you've heard that people are branding themselves
like cows, using using freeze branding, freezing metal to brand themselves,
and they're kicking on doors narrowly avoiding getting shot. Probably.
(25:54):
So today the news story comes out of Great Britain
that in their next election they're lowering the voting age
in Britain to sixteen. Sixteen to vote in Britain. How
(26:15):
dumb is that?
Speaker 8 (26:18):
Now?
Speaker 1 (26:19):
I don't know if that's even a possible. I don't
know if you could even answer that question, because I
don't know that we've seen dumbness. This vast this is
vast idiocy, allowing sixteen year olds to vote in Great
Britain and their voter ID they said, the only voter
idea you need is a bank card to vote. But
(26:43):
sixteen year olds, think of all the things we won't
let you do in the United States of America until
you're twenty one because we think you're not smart enough.
We think you're not mature enough and smart enough to
What is the legal age to buy a cigarett in
the United States? Is it twenty one? We know the
(27:05):
legal age to buy a beer is twenty one. There's
all kinds of things you can't do until you turn
twenty one. I'm sure most of the people that are
doing the door kicking challenge, risking their lives, are under
twenty one, and they want to give these people, these
(27:27):
young people, the right to vote. In Great Britain. Let
us pray, let us pray that this is not in
our future. In the United States. We're sixteen year olds.
A lot of sixteen year olds don't even want to
learn to drive anymore. We can't let the sixteen year
olds vote. Uncle Henry Show News Radio seventy ten WNTM.
(28:13):
It's five point fifty news headlines coming up in ten
minutes and then more Uncle Henry's Show yesterday. And I
think it was in the first segment or the second
segment of the Uncle Henry Show yesterday, a listener the
Bama bush hog called in with a riddle for the
(28:40):
listener and no one very proud of report that no
one wanted to try, and nobody wanted to try and
solve the riddle. So for just a little bit of
just to complete the thought, the bush hog man called
back in to tell us the answer to his riddle.
So just so we can get this taken care of.
(29:02):
Here's the answer to the man's riddle that he phoned
in yesterday.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
Well, gra Henry's Abama buss. I will call him again.
Speaker 9 (29:10):
I hope you're having a great day. Look at here
once again, I'm to recite the riddle, and then I'm
gonna give you the answer For your listeners, I'm sure
you will all enjoy it.
Speaker 6 (29:21):
Okay, it goes like this. I live upon high cemented
by stars.
Speaker 7 (29:27):
I have a branch of peace and weapons of war
sealed around one who speaks.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
For us all.
Speaker 6 (29:32):
Why am I why it's the presidential seal.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Okay, the answer is the presidential Seal. Now, I was thinking,
as an I'll continue his message here. But I was thinking,
I wonder if modern When I was a child, riddles,
riddles were a part of childhood. There was a lot
of We had a lot of riddles, riddle books. You'd
(29:56):
ask each other, riddlers, riddles. It was all kind of stuff.
Do modern children even want to solve a riddle? In
the digital age? Do youngsters and adults even think about
riddles anymore?
Speaker 7 (30:13):
Well, it's the presidential seal.
Speaker 9 (30:16):
Think about it.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
You've got the eagle.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
Who lives one high, flies high, yes high, and one
hand he has the olive branch of peace. In the
other hand he has the arrows weapons of war. And
this eagle is surrounded by stars as well. I forgot
about that part. And it's also sealed around the one
who speaks for us, all our president of the United States,
(30:39):
Donald J. Trump.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
God bless Donald J. Trump and our president. And if
you think about.
Speaker 10 (30:46):
It, the whole seal steaks for Donald Trump. And one
hand the eagle represents our president has the rensive peace,
in the other hand the weapons of war. So that
shows strength. He is showing you teeth through strength. It's
it's poetic justices. Karni is perfect. I hope you all
(31:09):
enjoyed that. I'll go here and you have a great
shown road.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Tie road time row. Thank you, Bama bush hog for
putting in your mental energy into creating a riddle. I'm
trying to imagine what will be the well one day,
well like twenty or thirty years from now, will some
young person rediscover riddles and create a riddle some type
of riddle, some kind of riddle craze in the country. Now,
(31:38):
let's see, before I'm at a time in this segment
of the Uncle Henry Show. We had Killer Bees on
the Uncle Henry Show a few weeks ago talking about
a big church type event coming up, the Light of
Life Festival. That is a an indoor event out at
the grounds of Westmobile that is going to feature lots
(31:59):
of worship. Mew u is it free food. They're gonna
have free school supplies while they last, free back to
school haircuts, And I just wanted to mention that that
event is coming up this Sunday. So if you know
somebody with kids that need some haircuts from back to school,
(32:19):
they need some school supplies, they might like a free
lunch this coming Sunday. It begins at noon. It goes
from noon to five thirty out at the grounds of Westmobile.
It's absolutely free. I found out they've got a bunch
of churches now involved in some nonprofits as well. They're
gonna be having the praise music the entire time, and
(32:41):
they're gonna be uh, They're doing all kinds of stuff
out at this event. They're gonna have carnival games for
kids to play. So if you're looking for something fun
to do with a bunch of Christians this Sunday, afternoon
go out to the grounds Westmobile from twelve to five.
It's the Light of Life absolutely free and yes, I
(33:03):
am going to be there. My wife and I are
going to go visit this now. I don't know if
we're going to be the whole time or half the
time or what, but we are going to be there
and just soak it in and just enjoy being around
other people that want to worship. So that is the
Light of Life Festival and the website Light of Life
(33:28):
Festival dot Orge if you want to get more information
on the Light of Life Festival. Know a lot of
people can use the help with school supplies and also
getting the help with the back to school haircuts. And
then again a lot of people just like listening to
(33:48):
the praise music they're gonna have. I think they're gonna
have four different praise bands. And then they've got a
live performance from Stephen mcwarter who's going to do a
lot more praise music. That is all going on Sunday
out at the grounds indoors, so you don't have to
sweat all. Right back with more Uncle Henry Show after
(34:11):
the break, it says the Uncle Henry Show here on
(34:34):
news Radio seventy ten WNTM. Thank you for listening to
the Uncle Henry Show. Now coming up this half hour
of show, I'm gonna go over some news items that
I missed. You may have missed them as well, And
who knows whatever kind of junk might end up in
this half hour of show, we'll find out together. First,
(35:01):
I missed a story about the Mobile River Bridge project,
the fantasy bridge that people have dreamed about for many decades.
It seems to be coming to a reality, or closer
to manifesting into her reality now. I told this story
(35:22):
on the show of I Guess It was a week ago.
I was at a concert at the Wharf in Orange Beach,
one of the Red Clay Strace concerts at the Wharf
in Orange Beach, and I met a young woman around
the age of forty and she said she had just
moved to Mobile because she was she was a federal contractor.
(35:45):
She worked. Well, no, she said, she worked for a
federal contractor and she was like the business manager for
some federal contractor in Mobile, moving to Mobile to work
on the bridge project. Now I thought, well, this is
the most real thing I've seen. It's somebody moving here
to do this. Now, here's more hot bridge news for you.
(36:06):
This is an update from Fox ten on getting further
funding for building the bridge. Let's listen as Lenise Lagon,
the popular news anchor Lenis Lagan, introduces this news z
item to US.
Speaker 11 (36:20):
Much anticipated and long delayed Mobile River Bridge and Bayway
project could be getting some more funding. US Alabama Democratic
Congressman Shamari Figures introducing legislation to add another decade of
funding to a twenty twenty one bridge infrastructure program. He's
joining Republican Mississippi US Representative Mike Gazel on this initiative.
(36:42):
The bill would extend the bridge Infrastructure Program to two
thousand and thirty one and increase federal funding for bridge
construction and repair projects around the country. This six lane
bridge over the Mobile River and Iten crossing over Mobile
Bay into Baldwin County would be included in that. A
representative figure sending us a statement saying, in part quote,
(37:05):
the bill is a step in the right direction towards
real advancements and projects like the Iten Bridge and Bayway
project in my hometown of Mobile. This will help communities
be better connected by working to ensure a completion of
projects all across America. The bridge in Bayway projects. The
last estimate was at around three point five billion dollars.
(37:27):
So far, that project has less than a billion dollars
in state and federal commitments to help foot that bill.
A total of two dollars and fifty cents would be
included once the bridge is finished a timetable. We don't
know yet.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
We don't know yet. That is a very familiar phrase,
very familiar phrase in conjunction with the bridge, we don't
know yet now. At the Mobile City Council meeting a
couple of days ago, Mobile City Councilman William Carroll gave
a brief update on things going on right now in
(38:01):
terms of the bridge. Because people have noticed things going
on they're in the bay. Let's listen together to what
William Carroll had to say about work being done right
now with the bridge.
Speaker 8 (38:14):
There has been some concern from residents in district too
along the down the Bay area with what was happening
along I ten on the westbound side. What you guys
are seeing is a series of test pilings or test
holes for pilings that will be used for the Mobile
(38:38):
River Bridge. However, that is not the location of the
piling or structure that you see. The location will be
on the other side of I ten, on the eastbound side,
closer to where the jail house is, and at that
point the bridge itself will probably rise about one hundred feet.
(39:00):
There's been questions about the letters sent out by al
DOT to the neighbors. Those letters are for right of
entry permitting so that al DOT can document the property
to make sure that if anything happens to the property
while the bridge is under construction, that that any damages
would be replaced by al DOT in a state. So
(39:22):
they're asking for permission to enter the property to document
its current condition, to make sure if anything happens during
any type of constructions, all things will be corrected. Furthermore,
there's no condemnation of any property or taking any property.
I've been told that all property needed for the bridge
has been acquired and there's no other property acquisitions going on.
(39:45):
Thank you President.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
All right, So the stuff is happening. Stuff is happening.
So I still have a lingering question in my mind,
and that is will I live to see it built?
Will I I might happen. I'm still I'm not now
I'm not gonna wage your money on it. Not going
to do that, but it's now beginning. It may get
(40:09):
built before I pass. It may get built before I pass. Now,
at the rate they're going, I'm probably gonna need a
younger person to drive me across it because at this
point I don't have faith and my own abilities to drive
across it in five, seven, ten years or whenever it's
ready to drive across. But it might get built before
(40:30):
I die. So all of this very positive for the
Mobile River Bridge project. Now, no, not everyone, Not everyone
is excited about it, and not everyone even wants it.
I've gotten calls through the years from people opposed to
the building of the bridge that there are, yes, there
(40:52):
are some people in Mobile that don't want it built.
They like it the way it is. Here's an example.
This was from back when Sadly Burn was still in
Congress Hendry.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
You all think it ain't gonna be no opposition to
this bridge?
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Ha ha?
Speaker 4 (41:11):
Are you kidding me? That will be? And Bradley Burn
doing all this so he can try to get red
elected in November. Man, And here, I hope you don't
go over bridge and uh, one of them boards just
hit the column and knock you over in that river
and gone, and you drowned. And I guess the only
(41:35):
thing we'll find is your hat. I don't know what
the crabs on eat old.
Speaker 6 (41:41):
Man like you.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
All right, So they bridge, now they knew bridge connected
to fantasies of my death.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
So yeah, they gonna be some opposition. But two three
years from now, when it's when they're gonna have some
hears in forty five days, I'm gonna be at one
or two of myself. Yeah, And I hope they don't
come to a no board and hit the column and
kill a bunch of folks.
Speaker 8 (42:11):
All right, message deleted.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
Yes, fantasizing about my death in connection to the bridge,
all right? Well, and I also wonder, as I've told you,
I also wonder will I will I live to be
able to ride across it. Well, we'll all find out.
We'll all find out, all right. By the way, if
you'd like to leave a message for the Uncle Henry Show,
the voice my numbers two five one two one six,
(42:37):
nineteen seventy six. That's two five one two one six,
nineteen seventy six. To leave a message on for the
Uncle Henry Show. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't fantasize
about ways I would die in the messages that can
be Sometimes that can be unsettling, especially for my family members.
(42:58):
Doesn't none settle me because I think about it myself,
but the family members don't like to hear it. All right,
taking a break, I'll be back after the break. Let's
take the break. Thissney Uncle Henry's show here on News
(43:23):
Radio seven ten WNTM. News headlines coming up in ten minutes.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
Now.
Speaker 1 (43:35):

about this last week or this week, but I told
you the listener that I'm a big fan of accents.
I love people that have a pronounced accent when they talk.
I've loved it ever since I was a child. It
came up last week because Mayor Standy Simpson gave a
(44:00):
good Citizenship award, a Good Citizenship Medal to a guy
from Scotland, and I just enjoyed the Scottish accent. And
I had somebody phoned in a voicemail telling me to
listen to interviews with old rock stars from England because
they have some good accents. Well, I've found some fantastic
(44:20):
accents that I want to share with you. I know
