Speaker 1 (00:00):
One of these days is gonna wink at you win
get you and walking by the door. It's Quinny Canter picks.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
When I was six, second week in a row and
I'm tall, redded and walking by my bedroom door. This
time I had clothes on. Yeah, so that was last week.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I think I under covers.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Luckily, my daughter's boyfriend walked by again just as I
was leaving my bedroom.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
He is he about a what is he about a
foot taller than you?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Yeah, at least he's a tall redhead. Think think Rocky
and masked, but with a better face, with a better face.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Well that's yeah, that's great. So yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
The thing is that the kid doesn't even know it
doesn't really probably pay attention that you're in there, because
why would he.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
No, And I'm fingering out, you're just following my daughter
to her room to get her car keys because she
has to drive him far. Is only twenty two percent
of teenagers to have licenses these days?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
For my stats, I know. Anyways, I went to back Rooms.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I wanted my son wanted to see him and his
buddy wanted to go see the movie back Rooms, which
I learned about quickly last week. So this started from
a picture. In twenty nineteen, there was a four Chan
post asking users to share disturbing images that just felt off,
and an anonymous user replied with a photo of an empty,
mundane room, which is pretty much the foundation for the

(01:13):
setting of the movie back Room.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I remember when this happened.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
It turned into a viral creepypasta, which Quinn told me
what creepypasta is.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, creemypasa is, like, you know, it's like fictional stuff
that people make up about creepy stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
That may feel like it's possible real.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Mm hmm, okay, I mean yeah. So the movie which
brought in like twenty five million, is the number one
movie at the box office directed by a twenty year
old YouTuber. So he took this and he made a
YouTube series, and this guy then went on to make
this movie. That's the story.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
If I'm if I say to myself, well, why do
I want to go see this movie? Is it just
someone walking through a back room the whole time?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Well, like my son when I compared it at times
to Blair Witch.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah yeah, got mad at me.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Okay, well that's the original handhelp of right, right, of
course it's going to you're going to compare to the right,
which but it does have a little bit of that
okay perspective.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Which I can say I actually like that, and it's
you know.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I thought the budget was seven hundred and fifty thousand
dollars and it looks like it.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, okay, but it's creative seventy million more interesting all right,
death scenes and so you're in there with a couple
of thirteen year olds watching this in the theater.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So I you know, this is not my thing. This
is more Quinn's thing.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Right, I know, I'm I'm not like the horror stuff
like I.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Like a good rom com. And one of my favorite
movies is August of most Sage County YEP.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Type. I even saw that one.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Okay, So that's the one with the three road signs
up and outside.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Of the no's such a great class scene. Wore you guys,
I drink, my wife takes pills.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
We have an agreement, solid, all.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Right, Okay. So I gave it back rooms five point
six smoking vetos.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Five point six smoking vetos who couldn't have any popcorn
because he's still got his braces on. He gave a
nine point zero nine point oh Northy who smuggling kit cat.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Oh that's his dog. That's his mother's son right there.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
She gave it a kit cats to smuggle. He gave
it eighty five, so you had it up to bed it.
Bye three. He gets an average seven point seven. Back
room seven point seven. Smoke and the boys.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
The boys really bringing the average up there, we know.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, Rotten Tomatoes left it with an eighty nine. I wait,
I don't know. I don't force you to go to
the theater quick, but curious what you think, because this
really is your genre.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah, no, this is the kind of thing I might
gravitate towards quickly. We'll see, we'll see.
