Christopher Luxon says the Government is being too slow in responding to the threat of Omicron.
Three cases of the more infectious strain have been identified in Auckland, and health officials have reported a possible case in Palmerston North.
The Prime Minister has confirmed the entire country will move to red within 48 hours, if there is an outbreak.
She says there are 4.6 million rapid antigen tests in the country and more are on order.
The National Leader says more tests should have already arrived, and should be readily available in supermarkets by now.
“We need tens of millions of them, not being ordered they need to be here now and we’ve had the advantage of time.”
