Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's about to happen.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Would you say, would you say that you agree?

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Or are you pissed?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
You're gonna hear now? You're gonna hear now Eddie's Top.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Tennis, Edie's Top tenlist. Oh boy, okay, here we go,
you guys. I don't know if this rumor is true.
Obviously it's a rumor. But we're getting around that time
where they're going to announce who the super Bowl halftime
show is. You know, they do it like way in advance,
and then they talk about it forever and then you

(00:36):
sort of forget, like, oh, yeah, that money was gonna
be doing that time show. That's crazy. Uh So the
rumor right now is the front runner to do the
super Bowl halftime show is Miley Cyrus. Miley Cyrus you
like that?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
It doesn't sound like Thorles, No, definitely does.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Like she's not.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
I don't know, man, Like, I don't how many dudes
listening to Miley Cyrus, Like I know some guys that
listen to Taylor Swift, I know, got Me and Jamie,
Like Sabriena Carpenter.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I do like that party in the USA song.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
That was her first song.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
She's coming out to that closing with that tough.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Great performer that she is.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
She is.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, she's really good one.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
No, just everything.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
She's just so unlikable to me, Like I just know Horizon,
would you say unlikable Unlike.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Well, there's people like Sky like her, So I don't know,
I think, But is she super Bowl halftime show worthy?
Like that big Musically, She's a big enough name, I'll
give you that.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
But musically that last song she had that was a
massive hit, was it Flowers?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:56):
Like that was everywhere for the longest time.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
But yeah, but like think about like do you want
those songs because those are kind of slower tempo songs
as the super Bowl halftime show. You want bangers, right,
he want bangs. That's what I'm looking for. So I
put together my top ten acts who I want to
see do these super Bowl halftime show. Now, these are

(02:19):
acts that haven't done it before. Oh okay, and I'm
trying to be cool here. Don't look at my list.
I saw you trying to point great point I can't
see without her glasses.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Oh, don't do that right now.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
So I'm trying to be cool here because I could
just name all acts that I like, like you know,
rock acts or whatever. But there's I'm trying to think, Okay,
if this artist was named the super Bowl halftime show,
I think I'd be okay with that.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
So you want to be happy with it, but you
also want it to make sense for the general poppy
like if Eddie was the guy in.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Charge of put me in charge. These are the acts
that I would pick who I think would put on
a good show that I would enjoy, and that I
would think make a lot of sense and relevant too,
because I mean, if it was me, i'd say hallow.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Nots okay.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
So if it was only list like, they'd get in there,
Hallow notes would get in there.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Michael Christmas, how.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Great with that? I don't, but I know I recognized that.
That's just that's to me. That's to me, okay. So uh,
I think some of this you'll be pleased with some
of it, maybe not. I don't know. We'll see coming
in as my number ten act I want to see
do the super Bowl halftime show. And I'm talking right
now a C D C oh wow.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
My wife just saw them at what was it that
festival a few years ago, the rock Power Some Power,
and she said they were great, Yes, and she would
take it still rock. Yes, she would tell me if
they still weren't, there's still tour.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
She was.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
She loved it, had great time.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Guys always a C d C, which which is disappointing.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
How are you not really?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I mean you come out there understruck.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Yeah, where's the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
It's shocking to me that a C d C. And like,
I don't want to ruin any other bands, but please don't.
Are haven't done it yet?

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Because at every Sunday NFL stadium we hear those music
before where you kick off with every everything's like three bands.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I don't understand. Or at college.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Football games you hear three bands, and a C d
C is one of them. At NBA games here three bands,
a CDC is.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
One of them. And if they weren't playing anymore, all right,
I get it, but they're still playing. People love them.
I can't watch the video. He's a million I mean,
but he could still get it.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
My wife swears at Power Supply they were amazing.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I don't think and I know controversy Eddie Eddy any
they're not American. I don't think that we'd have the
same issues that we had with that I'm just gonna
say I think we're okay. But whatever. So ten a
c DC coming in as my number nine act who

(05:05):
I want to see do the Super Bowl halftime show.
And again this is me trying to be cool. Why
not jay Z? Why not jay Z?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Why you bring this up?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Jayz went viral over the weekend because he did the
Roots Picnic concert.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I don't know how people got tickets for this and
he did.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Uh, jay Z's incredible and he did a freestyle dissing
like a bunch of people us Drake.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
But I don't know he should do.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
He's got a ton of hits, and it's he was.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
The one who's like he's kind of in charge of
putting together the acts of name himself.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
If he If he did it, it'd be awesome.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Imagine the guests he could happen to me.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I thought his Roots thing meant that maybe he's dropping
something soon. But he's fifty six.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
I don't know what did you just see that Angus Young.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Skipping around a lot.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Of like the comeback to people dissing because he diss Drake,
We're like he's so old. I'm like, doesn't matter, He's
still great.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah. So I mean I'd be down to the watch
would be great. Yeah, I mean that's not bad.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I didn't know Eddie was a jay Z.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I like jay Z. I like jay Z. Look that
I'm on my phone four.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Songs like you have ja Z, like you have his
number in your phone.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I have four four songs, just the hits coming in
as my number eight act. I want to see you
do the Super Bowl halftime show. This is where we
may get a little controversy. I know one person in
the room will love this. I don't know how the
other two will feel. What number eight? Sabrina Carpenter. Oh, now,

(06:37):
hold on, hold on, James, hold on, hold on, hold on,
hold on, hold on hard thank you, I got you,
I got you, I got you. Hold on up. Let
me explain. Let me explain, because I know there's people
punching the radio and he shut up, man, mad car Bro.
Here's the thing about Sabrina Carpenter. I don't care for
her music. I'm like whatever about her music, Like it's okay,

(06:58):
it's okay, but it's not my favorite it. But that
girl can put on a show. She puts on a
hell of a show. Like you saw her at Cochilla.
That that. I mean, it was a spectacle. It's a spectacle.
Whenever I see her at awards shows and things like that,
they're they're entertaining. She's funny, she's gorgeous things. I'm I'm
gonna say it. I'll say it. Of course, she's not

(07:20):
bad to look.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
At running around the state naked. Look at that that
she looks incredible naked.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I sit there and watch.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I respect that.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
I kind of agree a little bit with Sky a little.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
I mean, she's one of the biggest acts in the world.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
I understand that she seems to be around a little bit.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I would watch her a million times more than I'd
watched She's.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Got way more hits than Mila Cyrus. I mean, she does.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Google it. I will you guys should fight google it.
She puts on a hell of a show. That's why
I would like to see her as the halftime show.
So say what you coming up as my number seven act?
I want to see you do the super Bowl halftime show.
I'm I ain't a hyped on these guys, especially after
I saw them live and then I saw them perform

(08:05):
before the Super Bowl this year. Green Day, Green Day
brings it dude, that like, yeah, getting to see them
an alter ego. I have a whole new appreciation for
Green Day because live they were incredible, Like they brought
the house, man, I mean, it was crazy, and they
hadn't seen them perform before the super Bowl this year.

(08:27):
I was like, dude, every song was bank Bank, Bank,
Bank Bank, so high energy, and I was like, that's
what I want out of my halftime. So I just
want to be entertained for fifteen minutes.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
But I don't think people trust them to not make
it political, you know what I mean, which nobody wants
in the middle of a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Bat political exactly. Sky Well, I don't think.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
He made it political. He was just showing love.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
No, he like said something. But I'm not the biggest
Green Day fan.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
But you even said I will did do very well
at the beginning. So but I would put them at ten,
Well you would, i'd if they bring out Yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
You don't have to have a guest.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah, if you're if you're a rock band, you don't
have to. And if you're that bay it goes for
ten minutes. How long is it take?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Fifteen minutes?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Fifteen?

Speaker 1 (09:13):
They have a thousand hits, right, I mean, this.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Is Mighty Sorrus apparently.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Coming in as my number six act who I want
to see do the Super Bowl halftime show. This is
where you go, Eddie. You just said relevant and this
and that. I don't care. This guy goes out on tour,
he sells out every ring impossible, Okay, I don't care.
Think about it before everybody freaks out.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
I'm going to freaking out already.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
This may be you go, Boomer.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Nobody's saying that.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Billy Joel, Oh, the piano, man, I don't know if
he can, though I love it.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Listen. I know he's going through some health issues or whatever.
But obviously this I'm telling you, but I love Billy
Joel and Billy Joel. Why has he never been chosen
to do? We went through that era of Paul McCartney
and Tom Petty and all these and I'm like, where's
pretty cool? Man? All the hits start dropping my way

(10:13):
or whatever? I mean, come on, man, come on, that
was great that I would be I would be thoroughly
thrilled with this.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
I I haven't seen him on stage recently, so I
don't know what that would look. I don't know that's
probably I didn't say, yeah, Sabrina Carpenter run around him naked.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
And then definitely yeah. All right, we're now top five.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
My number five act that I want to see do
the super Bowl halftime show. And I don't know why
these guys haven't been asked to do it yet, the
Food Fighters. You bring out the Food Fighters and you're
going to give fifteen straight minutes of kick ass. Yes, okay,
and that's what I want. That's what I wanted a
halftime show, you know. And I don't need all the
bells and whistles of you know, you know, running around

(10:59):
doing these weird you know, people floating in the sky. Yeah,
you know, jumping off of the side of the building
and weird stuff.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
You don't need the choreography.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Just just play the hits man like you give it
to me, like I would love to see the Food
Fighters do that. So love to see Food Fighters do
the halftime show. Coming in as my four act I
would like to see do the super Bowl halftime show.
Eminem Wow, I Am did the one with Doctor Dre

(11:28):
and you give one song, give Me All, Give Me All.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Even great incredibly with incredible life.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Look what this guy's wearing right now for sure.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Have a lot of Eminem merchant.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Yeah, join them.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
What we did where we did the Thanksgiving halftime show
with Jack Black?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Random again he comes out for like one song and
it was great.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Though.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
It was great because Jack Black was great and Eminem
came out of incredible.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I would be entertained from start to finish. Eminem, Yes,
that'd be great. Coming lives, that's my number three. I
don't think you'll do it. Come a in as my
number three act. I want to see do the super
Bowl halftime show. And this. You may go, Eddie, that's crazy.
I'm only number three. I'll explain number three. Guns n' Roses,

(12:16):
Guns and Roses, guns and Rows. Okay, So gn R
is my favorite band of all time, and you go, Eddie,
why only three? I understand Guns and Roses may not
be everybody's cup of tea and you just go, okay,
but they're good. They have so many songs and so
many hits, and they know how to put on a show,
you know.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
And So n' Roses Metallica day on the Greens.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Nothing bigger, nothing bigger. You can't top that, can't top.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
That, I think jay Z would ask Sky to get
the band of the intro.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
She does the intro. The intro, she gets on stage.

Speaker 7 (12:52):
And roses Metallica day on what that lady, and then
she just walks off the Okay, I'm not.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
To shut up.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
These are my top ten acts I want to see
do the Super Bowl halftime show coming in at number two,
the biggest artist in the world, Taylor Swift number two.
Number two a controversy, but listen, I get it. Not again,
not everybody's cup of tea. Maybe Taylor Swift Eddie really,

(13:30):
but you have to give give her the flowers. She
deserves it. She should do it. It's weird she hasn't
done it. They probably do. You know, we had that
whole thing of like she was a yes, there's she.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Doesn't want to do it until she says her man
retires because she doesn't want to have to perform in
a super Bowl he's in.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
I don't have to worry about that, probably.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
But I mean, eventually you're going to get a Taylor
Swift half time show. It's just it's in the universe.
It's gonna happen. But she deserves it, she should do it,
So that would be massive. So that's my number two.
Who's number one?

Speaker 5 (14:07):
That's what I thought number one.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Yeah, my number one. Actively I want to see do
the super Bowl halftime show is Metallica.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
Yeah, no, Metallica Day on the Greens.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
And that's one of the bands I was talking about earlier, Metallica.
I mean, there's like ten of their songs. You hear
it every sporting event every year.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
It would be insane. It would be insane.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Literally, they have ten songs where you hear it all
the time.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
And it's just garbage at this point, like, don't wait
until these guys are too old. I put them out there. Now,
let's do it. I wonder if.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
There's something to the fact that when they play instruments,
they're not plugged in because it's too when So whenever
there's a super Bowl halftime show, whenever you see drummers
or guitarists and stuff, those interests aren't plugged in because
it takes too long to set up.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
So they're like they're like, just play to the back.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
They can figure they've done. They've done, they can figure
it out. But uh, yeah, I don't know, man. I
just I think that there's too much of a locked
in of like, oh, we have to appeal to everybody,
mostly women because we want everybody to be watching this
and that sort of thing. But like, sorry, there's Metallica.
You you put them on tour there every day they

(15:21):
sell out everywhere, so they're obviously women in the audience
and women like rock music, all crazy, all crazy, and
so yes, Metallica should be the super Bowl halftime show.
It's crazy that they haven't done this. So there you go.
I know you, I know you, I know you, buddy.
So obviously Thor and I are big WWE wrestling fans

(15:45):
always have been all that stuff. Well, one of the
guys that has been around for a really long time
is a guy named Bronze Stroman, now Bronze Stroman Is.
He's known as the Monster among men. It's quite a nickname.
And this dude, if aliens were to come to Earth

(16:08):
and where to pull me aside and they were like, Eddie,
can you please describe what a wrestler would look like,
it would be this dude because he is just enormous
and it's huge, not fat like like yoked Jack, big everywhere.

(16:28):
And the reason why I don't think it worked in
the WWE because he no longer wrestles is because it's
not believable whatsoever that any human being could beat this guy,
you know what I mean? And so if he never
is going to lose it, what's the point. And you know,
and then when you would see him lose, you go, wait,

(16:49):
how that guy beat that guy? I mean, look at
that dude. So he joins us right now this morning.
How's it going, bron, Good morning?

Speaker 3 (16:55):
I'm doing great. I heard you guys talk about me
not getting fat. You're exactly right up and busting my
but brod uh.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
So Thora and I are massive WW fans, been wrestling
fans of our whole lives. But we're trying to explain
to the ladies here your size and it's it's like
I said, if an alien were to come down and
I were to tell them this is what a wrestler
would look like, it would be you. So tell these
ladies in here how big you actually are.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
All right? Take take a Kodiak bear, remove all its hair,
a Greeks a Greek statue of a Greek god's head
on it, and bring it to life. And that's me.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
That's it. That makes sense. That makes sense. Yeah, you're
you're just a massive dude. You're known as the monster
among men for a reason. And before we get into
the show, because I can't wait to talk to you
about the show, because it's fantastic and we really want
you to come to San Diego, so hopefully that's that's
coming up at some point. But uh, you as a
WWE superstar, to me, it was a no brainer. I mean,

(17:57):
you look like what a whiler would look like. Why
do you just think it? It had never really it
worked obviously for a long time, but then you know,
you're come and go and explain. What do you think
is going on?

Speaker 3 (18:12):
I don't know. Sometimes I just think they're stupid, you know,
I don't know. Like I said, like as much as
much as like trying not to all just clickbased stuff.
And the reality of it is, I see myself every
day in the mirror, and I see more of myself
than the whole world season. I look at myself and
I look what's on TV, and I go, yeah, But
you know, at the end of the day, it is

(18:33):
what it is. It's a show, it's a it's a
it's a play. I went there every week. I had
a part in the play. They handed me the script.
I did the best I possibly could every week. Sometimes
the script was great. Sometimes it really freaking sucks. But
that was my job to go out there and turn
you know, chicken crap in a chicken salad. And now
I've turned chicken crap in a chicken salad. It's turned
it into the number one food TELVI show on the planet.

(18:55):
US say Network everything on the Man. You see the
tuoper meters after a SmackDown on USA networked this Friday.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
It is there. It is honestly bronon. If you were
to ask my opinion as a wrestling fan for thirty
forty years, as long as I have been, I just
think it's almost when I look at you, I would
never believe anybody could beat you. I just don't think
anybody could ever beat you. And so that may just
be the problem is that, you know what, when you
would lose, you just go, oh, come on, nobody is

(19:22):
nobody's beating that guy? Give me a break. And so it.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Definitely was a task for them to book me, and
you can see that still in some of the things
that are doing right now. They don't know what to
do with big guys anymore. It's kind of sad because
that's what said. I mean, don't take anything wrong, take
anything away from some of the smaller guys with athleticism
of what they can do. But what made me fall
in love with ww with a larger than live human
beings that you can't see walking down the street, no offense,
like I said, to a lot of these guys and

(19:47):
stuff like that. But like, bro, you look like a
dude that's bagging my groceries at the grocery.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
That's so true.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Yeah, Like I said, I grew up on andres and
hogans and takers and these human beings that you don't
want walking around on the street. And that's what made
me fall in love with wrestling. And you know, times change,
just like the business. That's why I'm not wrestling anymore,
and that's why I'm a food show host.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Well listen, man, you know you you do have to
think at times that you know, things happen for a reason.
And when that happened, you got released from WWE. This
show came about and it is a like you said,
it's a massive success on the USA Network. Everything on
the menu for it, sir. Somebody who hasn't watched the
first season, explain what it is you do.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
So the premise of the show is a lot of
people think it's like this this big food competition thing.
The idea of the show is not to go to
a restaurant and eat everyone consume the whole menu. While
some restaurants I'm very capable of doing it. The premise
of the show is, think about going out to eat
with your friend's family, whatever it is. You're at a
nice restaurant or whatever. You at any restaurant you started
looking at the menu, You're like, man, this looks good.

(20:51):
That looks good. What's that lady eating over there? That
looks good? What are they eating that looks good? Everything
looks so good. I can't make in my mind what
I want to eat. Well, I'm blessed and fortunate enough
that I don't have to and I can order everything
on the menu. So that's the idea of it. And
the whole premise too is season two as well. I
had guests along with me, where season one I did
it solo by myself and I meandered around and talked

(21:13):
to like the patrons and the restaurant. While that was
fun and all, now it's evolved even more in season two,
now I have guests on which some guests I've never
met before in my life and some I've been friends with.
So it's having that opportunity. Food is a vessel to
bring people together, and so it's brought me together with
new walks of life, rekindle my relationships with people that
I haven't met in a long time, and it brings
you together for an opportunity to have a conversation, to

(21:35):
have an experience, and that's what this shows about, and
the idea of it is getting, you know, stepping outside
of your normal comfort zone, trying foods that you've never
tried before, having a conversation, talking to your friends, dissecting
the dishes, trying to understand the mad science that goes
through these amazing chefs heads in the presentation and you know,
preparation of their foods and stuff like that. So it

(21:55):
turns into like it's got the podcast format, it's got
the food he format, it's got the good Feels Last format,
and then it's just all fun and general on it
and it really shines through and like you said, it's
this opportunity where I get to show the world the
man behind the monster. Everyone knows Bronstrom, and they know
the care that nobody's done, the weight of destruction that
he's cast in the last decade through professional wrestling, sports, entertainment,

(22:17):
whatever you want to call it. This is the opportunity
I've got to show the world Adam Schaer, the man
behind the monster there. You know, I made a living
fee five faux fumbing through my way through life. But
this is the chance that I get to show the
layers of this giant proverbial onion that I really am.
And it's really cool learning along the way because I
was never educated. I never went to school for this.
This was never even like my dream growing up. It

(22:39):
was something that I evolved and as I aged in
my life, I fell in love with and then blessed
traveling with WWE, getting to walk, you know, every inch
of the earth and try all these different walks of life,
food in the culinary space. And you know, my saying
in life is I'll try anything twice to make sure
I don't like it. So bringing that mentality to this
getting guests, like every guest on every episode, I got
them to eat something they never eat before. So that's

(23:01):
really fun and one of my favorite things to do
is taking people out to eat for that experience, getting
them to try new things, to step outside that comfort zone.
Because you know, let's beep real, we all get one
shot at this. There's so much cool stuff to do
out there, why not try it all?

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Well, bron, that's fantastic. I really want you to come
to San Diego because we have a lady on our
show named Sky who is the pickiest eater on the planet.
Won't eat anything, literally won't eat anything. So maybe if
you guys go out to eat, maybe you can get
her to try some new things.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
Absolutely well, here's the reality of Like I said at
an interview earlier, it boils down to the fans and
the beers at home. You guys tune in, you blow
the ratings up. You're gonna force USA's hand us do
another season, and in Diego you're on the list.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Okay, okay, good? Will you ever maybe think about taking
this international because I mean, seeing you eat wlacky things,
you know, and all these different places would be cool too, freezy.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
I mean that that's the end goal. I was such
a fan of Anthony Bourdain and what he did. While
there's no way I'll ever be able to fill his
shoes and stuff like that, being able to you know,
kind of carry on his legacy per se and you know,
be the next person to do it, because if you
really think about it, that we haven't had any new
personalities in the food space. Some have passed, some have

(24:18):
timed out, and now it's an opportunity for a new
a new personality in the food space. Why not send
the biggest, baddest open.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
That's it right there. The show is Everything on the
Menu with broun Strowman. It returns for season two on
Friday this Friday, so definitely want to check it out
on the USA Network. Bron, super fun to talk to you, man,
Thanks for joining us this morning.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Thanks for having me. Nice chat with you guys. Hopefully
the weather's nice out there today too.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
But there you go, Brons Truman, that's a big dude, man.
I'm telling you, it's crazy and now the show is
happy to bring you.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I'm some respectors. Midweek we melt down.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Uh got a little bit of a cold all week
and so the patience level is a little bit not
you know, little thin if you will. So it worries
me what he's gonna be attacking here in the midweek meltown.
A little nervous.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
This is a little off the wall. Oh yeah, a
little off the walk. Next year, on.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Go next Oh maybe that'll make him happy. Maybe this
will be game.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Will see, Yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
I'm nervous, very nervy. Guys, stop it, uh.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Me melting down about Jalen Brunson next week. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Maybe you know.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
I wasn't a fan of the Giants re signing Odell
Beckham recently.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Granted that's not what this is about.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Granted it's only like the vet minimum deal, so he
may not even make a team, so we'll see.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Who knows.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
But no, recently, I've noticed something that really bothered me.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
And this You may find this stupid. I don't care.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
You get annoyed by everything.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
I'm tired of athletes and celebrities who keep getting chances
when their careers are over to have more jobs and
stealing jobs for normal people.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Here's what I'm talking about. What, Here's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
I'm randomly watching a baseball game the other day, okay,
and they start talking about somebody, and they're the commentators.
It's not like a video montage, but the commentators are
kind of talking about this former athlete who's doing this,
who like grinded really hard, defied the odds. That's how
they make it seem like, defie the odds. He's got
this second career going and he's great at it, and

(26:36):
they can't believe it. And I'm thinking, man, who are
they talking about?

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Because it's because I'm watching. It's a Yankee game. I'm watching.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
They zoom the camera back and they show a guy
who's sitting there with a camera, one of those big
camera like they're doing Getty images. And I'm like, man,
this guy must he must have really loved taking pictures.
Who is this It turns out to be Ken griff
Feet Jun Oh yeah, And I say to myself, really,

(27:03):
Griffy didn't grind to get there. You know how he
got there. He had six hundred and thirty home runs,
That's how he got there. And I said to myself,
this is insane. Why does Griffy get this job?

Speaker 2 (27:15):
And exactly are you sitting there taking photos? So and
then and then I started Star game. He was at
the All Star Game, He's at the Super.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Bowl and he has this prime time job taking professional photos.
And people were acting like, look at the kid. How
did he kids it called the kid? How did he
get that gig?

Speaker 2 (27:33):
How hard did he work?

Speaker 1 (27:34):
He didn't work hard all.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
You know what probably really happened. He probably took a picture.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Of a bird, sent to his agent and goes, hey,
can you want the pictures for Getty Images?

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Like that's what happened.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
So he didn't start at a little local newspaper.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
He wasn't like, he wasn't like Peter Parker.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Working his way.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
I'm so tired of it.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Man, I'm really confused.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
It's such bs.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
It's like, and there's another guy too that does this,
Randy Johnson, the big Unit.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
The guy who had almost five thousand strikeouts.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
And they think, these commentators think it's so cute and
funny to see the big unit out there taking pictures.
Good for him, Yeah, he takes pictures too. He's on
the sideline. And it's like, these these a holes who
made millions of dollars. You can't just retire. You can't
just retire. No, it's not. It's a job.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
They get paid.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
They're getting paid robby.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
But what's crazy is you get people that go to
college to be a photographer. They do four years at
a school, they get into thousands of dollars of debt,
they get out and they're good at it. But there's
Ken grivigr taking a picture, so you can't get that job.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
And it sucks and I'm over It's it's not right, man.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Over it, I am. I don't know, I don't even
know what.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
He happens at all levels, and I'm over it and
it's done, and it's not right. There are some former
athletes who actually like made a career post like Roger Stallback,
he played for the Cowboys, Hall of Famer, one of
the NFL greats. He got into commercial real estate and
sold this business like four hundred million dollars. He actually
grinded and did something. A putts like Ken Griffith Junior

(29:15):
just decided, I'm bored, I need to do something, so
I'm gonna steal jobs from kids who need them and
take and take pictures.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
So, I mean, couldn't it be the same thing with you?
Brought up Roger Staubuck. He's using his name to become
a successful businessman after his.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Career technically, but you have to be good at it
to be a to do what he did.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
So do you think Ken Griffy is a terrible photographer.
I think he's I.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Think he's probably fine.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Fine, but you're stealing job Okay, stealing jobs jobs. It's
not right, and it doesn't just it's an our world too, baby,
it's an our world too. When was the last time
we had Fernando Tatis Junior on this show?

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Well, never won't come on the show.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
No reason why. We're ten Diego's number one show.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
But guess who has Toddy on Mookie Bets with his
god awful podcast. I don't know if you've heard this before,
but this moron sits down mid season.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
With other players and has a terrible podcast.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
You're gonna give upset.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
I know it's I know it's favorite players watch. But
every former athlete, every.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
Former athlete or current athlete now has a podcast because
they think, well, people want to hear.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
What I have to say and then what we do.
But but.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
Like the count Brothers art example, because they're decent at it,
Mookie Bets is terrible. So then what happens is their
buddies come on like Tatis or I don't know, Manny
Machado goes on there, and they stop doing actual shows.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Who know what they're doing and are entertaining and funny.
So it screws us.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
It screws us because some idiot wants to have a podcast.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Just stay in your lane, bro. Why do they need
to steal more jobs?

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Why is the app getting wider and wider now with
the rich and the poor. It's crazy. Podcasts started by
like normal people to do fun things. But then all
the out of work actors, all the loser athletes who
wanted more of a say in things, took it from us,
and then we watched them because they have better connections.
It sucks, and it doesn't matter how.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Entertaining you are, and the GAP's just getting wider and
wider and wider. Not good, it's not good.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
Fired up. I didn't even realize.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Well I don't. I don't know. I I thought the
Ken Griffith thing was just a hobby. He likes taking pictures.
I didn't think he was stealing jobs from anybody. They are.
I mean, I set paid. I think so you don't
even know.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
I think so so you don't even know. I think
if he's actually I think he's getting paid.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Wait, hold on a minute, dude, you've done this whole thing,
and you don't even know if he's actually stealing a job.
You don't even know.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
What he wouldn't get. He wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
It's if it's a hobby and they give press pass.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
That'd be weird, but he doesn't.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
Why would they let him be on the sideline with
the press pat that he likes.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
He likes to take pictures, that's his thing. It's like
a hobby. I think it's a hobby. I don't think
he's actually getting paid.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Yes, Ken Junior gets paid for the photography work, thank god.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
Thought doesn't say how much he gets.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
It doesn't but he did it for the Masters and
against I don't know he's hour, but it's ridiculous. I
don't think I feel like doing this and the sideline, yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
I know.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
It's weird to me that you don't get. Obviously, these
guys are using their newer thing, though their likeness, their names,
to get the newer thing.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
It's like every out of work. Amy Poehler. I like
Amy Poehler. She can't she's not really acting anymore. So
she started a podcast.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
She's not doing the research, she's not she's not coming
up with these questions. But she won Podcast of the
Year at the Golden Globe is because she had Michelle
Obama on its the first guest. I mean, it's ridiculous,
and the good podcasts, people that actually do the work
get screwed and just more of a gap between the
rich and the poor, more of a gap.

Speaker 6 (33:11):
It is frustrating when these guys are already the billionairerors
Like maybe I'm I'm hoping Ken Griffy takes his Getty
salary and donates.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
It to something.

Speaker 6 (33:21):
I doubt it, but like, but you're right, because it
is taking a job from somebody who probably hustles in.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
The sports media world.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
What's gonna start happening is is that you only get
the guys like Mookie Betts to have their buddies on,
but they're never gonna ask them hard hitting questions.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
They're gonna ask, hey, why can't you hit right now?
They're never gonna say so. Then we never get real answers.
We never get real answers, we never get real questions.
It's just buddy buddy.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
And that's what Draymond Green is basically doing now in
the NBA. He's saying the sports media world sucks and
all the athletes shouldn't go on their stuff anymore, and
they should only go on other athletes stuff.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Which isn't good either because then it's all fluff.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Like I just said, So that's I'm over taking a
I think the conress to get.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Involved law bigger.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
You're making no sense, No photographers, it's just over it, okay.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
All because I saw a Can Grafford Jr. Doing photography
backwards hat. He did have a hat on kind of
af that's great professional, he's the kid leaving alone.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
It just was so crazy. They were acting like how
did he get that job?

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Well, that's how did he do it? That's what I'm
going to think. We know how obviously
