Speaker 1 (00:00):
So it is free Comedy Friday today, and we are
very excited to have our next guest in, Troy Bond,
who is going to be performing at the American Comedy
Company this weekend, a couple of shows tonight, a couple
of shows tomorrow night.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
One am already sold out though, so sorry about that.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Sorry about that, Troy. Yeah, you can leave if you want.
I don't blame it, but yeah, this is a very
cool Troy. Thor is a massive fan of yours. He's
been talking about you for a while.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I see it.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Does it hits differently, right, it hits differently. So Thor's
going to your show no matter what. He's been telling
me about you for a while. And I feel like
it's weird that you and I don't know each other already,
that we're not already best friends. Because here are the
three things that I love the most in life. Okay,
A number one. As you can see, I'm immediately I'm
(00:49):
a massive Star Wars fan. I'm as big of a
nerd as it gets, dude. So I'm a massive Star
Wars guy. I'm a massive Marvel guy. And I grew
up a huge and still am a wrestling fan. Oh
so Troy, I'm like, dude, let's let's bond right now.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Everything, Eddie, did you see his?
Speaker 3 (01:05):
I read your bracelet on your right hand says does
it say sith Lord?
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Oh yeah, I read it.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Somebody gave me this last night.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Someone gave me this, uh this. There's other bracelet that
has like a quote from Moonnight that says chaos.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
And first like people hand me that.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
I'm like, oh that's really nice, and I'm like, why
cann't I get a quote that says, like I'm Moonnight.
I have to get like there's chaos and there's a
character that reminds me of you. The schizophrenic dude kills people.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Sometimes I feel that feels great. Appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Those are the three things. I grew up on, Star Wars, Marvel,
comic books. Yeah, wrestling. My dad was a When I
was a kid, my dad was a DJ. He was
an amateur pro wrestler going to karate school. Uh and
and he loved comic books. So he made no money.
And and I they gave me the autism.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Test there.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
They were like, maybe you grow in this year.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
My principal was RFKO much time that was and so
like I just I comedy to me when I was
a kid, my dad, because he was a DJ, he
never listened to music and the car he always listened
to talk radio, and so like I would be going
to school, like repeating back talk radio points about like
(02:16):
the Iraq Wars.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Like seven years old.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
But I also would memorize, this is like back when
people would listen to full comedy albums, like at the
height of like comedy special student, like you'd have HBO
Special someone like there's a special coming out every day,
Like when people would have an album and then they
would listen to it over and over the year. My
dad would listen to Bill Cosby and Richard Pryor and
George Carlin and Jerry Seinfeld and Luca Ball and I'd
(02:44):
like be four or five years old understanding that they
were great. But also the big thing that I learned
was like how to make what was going on in
my head? And now I guess to everyone else that
was through comedy, like the nerd stuff. Now maybe I
don't know if you feel this way. I feel this
way now. The nerd stuff is like in the Zeitgeist,
you can just drop like Thanos and.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Everyone knows knows what that is. Yeah. I mean I
tell these guys all the time.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
It's weird the shift of like I kind of hid
this stuff when I was growing up.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
You know, I was.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I was embarrassed, but I'm dude, I peel like D
and D growing up. I mean, I was that kind
of bigner.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
But then I lived the double double life, you know,
where I still played sports and things like that. So
those friends had no idea that I read comic books
every day. But now it's like the cool thing, and
I'm like, what happens? Yeah, Like I have no shame. Man,
I'm wearing a canteena band of.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
My wonder Woman under right.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Now, good for you.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Good for the first male to male transition.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
I like it. I like it.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
I don't know. I feel like because I'm a huge
I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan tune with the movie
and everything. Now there's been like a lot of kids
and just a lot of people who like who are
getting into the things that like I've always loved. I
just feel like I was like sort of the first
world show up to something.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah, like do I want them to listen?
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Watching that's like I have the.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Balls to be like who is Who's going around listening
to this unknown indie artist Michael Jackson. I was keeping
all these years, Like even I went to go see
the new Star Wars movie last week and I was in.
I was in theaters in the first like ten minutes.
I was like, I was with somebody and I kept
groaning and they were like stop and I was like what,
and They're like, you keep every like three minutes. I'm like, oh,
(04:25):
I didn't realize I was doing it because I'm like,
I'm thirty now I've been The first movie I ever
saw in theaters was Phantom MENAG Crazy three.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
I didn't know anything about trade negotiations or racist stereotypes
and the Star Wars, but it works. I kept watching
and after after my friend was like he keep growing it.
I was like, all right, let me just me enjoy
this for what it is. And I saw Sigourney Weaver
and Xwing and then I just I want to put
Grogu in a blender.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Oh wait, why I.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Just hate him?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Why?
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I never heard anybody say that.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
I think.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
Break.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
I think he's very cute, you.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Know, like the serious I would turn him into a series.
Oh god, what happened that little thing was coming at
me at three o'clock in the morning. I put two between.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
The no hold on a second try. So I'm way
older than you. Okay, So I grew up in you know,
with the original movies, and so those are my loves.
I have some strong feelings about the prequels. Okay, now
you grew up probably with the prequels first. So I
have seen this kind of generation that loves the prequels
(05:27):
and they kind of like, are weird about everything else?
So where do you sit in this?
Speaker 4 (05:32):
So Star Wars to me is like uh, trying to
find the right way to say this on the radio,
like a hook up, hook up or pizza at the
end of the day, pizza you got to hook up with.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
You love it, You love it no matter what, even
the bad one is still like unless with Skywalker.
Speaker 7 (05:52):
Always Eddie likes everything that everybody hates it. Like Eddie
liked the more pious movie.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
It was okay.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Understanding about I.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Mean, somehow Palpatine returned breaking.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
And it was weird. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
It's the feeling. I saw the Force Awakens in theaters
probably like ten times, so excited.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
That I literally cried cry went so died.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
I expected him to die because I was like, there's
no way Harrison Ford's going to walk on the It's
this movie called Kid. Three more of these. I gotta
be with Harry kill me off this way? Looking kid?
Why is he? Why is his lightsaber? Looked at you
this plane? And so I saw it.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I loved it.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
I was like, this is really cool. I'm really and
I was even okay with like it being a copy
of a New Hope. It was like then Rogue one
comes out and I'm like, oh, they just one of
my incredible and then Last Jedi came out and that
was the first movie in my adult life. I walked
out of theaters and I thought that like everyone was
(07:00):
going to follow me, like right when she threw When
Luke threw his lightsaber away, I was like, all right, gang,
come on marched right at the top, right at the beginning,
because the first ten minutes was like all joking and
I was like, I don't know where this is going.
This is rough. And then when he threw the lightsaber,
I was hurt. I walked out of the theater and
then I went to go see it the next day
and and ended up that that was my favorite out
(07:22):
of the out of the sequels, The Last Jedi, The
Last Jedi, Okay, just awakens went nowhere. The Last Jedi.
The Yoda scene alone makes it worth it for me.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
I did enjoy that.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
So Rise of Skywalker was the only Star Wars movie
I saw in theater once. And then my brother tried
to kill himself a couple of days later.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I don't think, Okay, that's fair.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I'm going to blame it on that, not him getting
caught cheating on his girlfriend Skywalker.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
That's that's what you know.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
What's crazy is that when the prequels came out again,
I'm I'm you know, I'm now an adult at this
point in the nineties, and I was so excited that
even any Star Wars is going to be made.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
So I went there.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
I took the day off work because I was like,
I gotta go see this right away, and I it.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Didn't that's how we do it, And it didn't. We
save I walked out and I went is this me? Like?
Do I not love this anymore? And it felt weird.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
That's how I felt. When I watched The Last Jedi.
I was like, oh, it was like that episode of
South Park where where like Kyle realized he was getting
older and everything just sounded and change. What happened to
me And I got called my dad and I was like, Dad,
don't go see this movie. It's terrible. And he was like,
you're twenty six now, and I was like, no, but
you're a grown up. People use these movies as life
(08:39):
is very hard. It's very difficult for people just to
get any it was. It was hard for all of
us just to get up and put socks and shoes
on this morning and to get here. It wasn't for
me because I'm on New York Times. It's nine o'clock.
In my brain, it was up at six, like beat
this Yeah radio. But like whenever when I went to
(09:00):
go see the Mandalorin and Grogan movie, like at the
end of the day, I'm putting my socks and shoes on,
I'm getting to go see a Star Wars movie. And
then I was gonna buy a popcorn bucket and they
were like sixty dollars. I was like, I'll come back
to this the movie.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
That's not evident. I didn't even do that.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
No, I want to spend it on the dune bucket.
That's a multi purpose bucket. Else, like for sure, I
don't want just like what am I going to do
with it?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I kind of Yeah, come on, Troy Bond playing the
American Comedy Company this weekend.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Gotta go see him. He's fantastic.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Now, got to get into some wrestling talk here, because
because I had no idea that your dad wrestled and
all this stuff, so you grew up kind of in
that era where you.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
Yeah, right, steroids and cocaine, nothing better. That's a solid.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Call that the Golden Air, the Golden Air it was.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
I was going to those. I didn't realize like how
unconventional my dad was, like because I told you, Like
even I got reaction for I was like he was
a DJ. He was karate school and he was wrestling.
I heard the d c F Like oh and then
like like when he was karate and wrestling was like
it was almost like the same, but like wrestling was
a little bit more theatrical, so like we would I remember, yeah,
(10:16):
like my dad's outfit for wrestling was like just his
karate pants and then baby oil. Remember one, Like my
one of my earliest memories was he was like doing
his wrestling name was the Black Dragon Troy Bond, and uh,
he was like shooting some promos and one of the
promos is like he was going to shoot a fireball
out of his because he was the dragon, Like yeah, yeah,
(10:41):
and he's like, oh, here we go. And the karate
mats were like those rubber like that. We were in
the studio and like he like had like taken just
a big shot of vodka and then spit it out
while somebody like had a Zippo lighter just went everywhere.
He didn't tell me to get out of the way,
like next to my dad like Croaker. I'm like, oh,
this is so if you did a kick, and then
like my leg was just on fire, and I like
(11:04):
he like just picks me up by he was like,
don't tell your mother about this, and he dunks one
leg of mine in the toilet. In the toilet and
like half of my leg is still burnt up. My
pant leg was burnt up. It just singed right through
the pants. And then they just like my tell your
mother moments, Like it's gonna be really hard to explain this.
One time somebody like broke a crutch over his back
(11:26):
and I just saw it flying at me and I
was like, this is really cool, and then it hit
me right square in the head and I just had
this giant egg on my head. He was like, tell
your mother you fell down the steps. I'm like, that's the.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Fourth time this month. Put me in a class. You
guys responsibility for this.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
You can't keep like we have the same last name too,
and we have the same last name.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, yeah, the whole name.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I got the whole name. And we didn't talk for like.
He kicked me out of the house when I was
seventeen because I started doing comedy and he didn't.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
He'sill.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
He wanted to do comedy too, he was, but he
didn't pull out. And then he had me. I think
he was just like I don't want you going down this.
It was like the day up a cave. He was like,
I don't want you to be what I am. And
then I exactly, I know it was exactly stretch back
and he didn't He like had me up against the wall.
(12:24):
He was like a few audition for America's Got Talent,
You're never coming back to this house. And I was like,
all right, I guess coming back to this house serious
speak for five years.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Still doing.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
The Stacker two blood.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
It was a real christ full heel on you.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
And I was going to the karate school classes too,
Like so I knew karate, he just knew more. But
so we didn't speak for for many years. To day
I came home and he like handed me. Uh like
when when dads discover weed, they think that they're the
first person on the planet. You gotta try this. It's
going to change everything for you. I'm like, you remember
you kicked me out of the house once when I
(13:08):
was fourteen, and then like we were it was like
the Native American peace pipe. We were just passing it
back and forth. And then he left the house and
I was sure he hit me, and I was like
in a coma. And then he called me later that
night and he was like, hey, I might I might
need your Social scard number to keep the lights on
karate school? Is this one more friends?
Speaker 6 (13:25):
Now?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
This is wil Man. Yeah, so that's that's my dad.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Okay, Happy Father's Day. Yeah, good man, I am working
on one. Yeah, fantastic, because you're like, you'll tell these
stories and then get me out a party and then
like people start crying. I guess it's called trauma dumping.
But I just thought like it was a.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Cool story my life. Yeah, it's just the way it came.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
When I saw the Trotters when I was ten and
I was right there, I was just like, oh, this
is McDonald.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
The hell I don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
This is this what you're gonna see if you gotta
go take out Troy American Comedy Company cop shows tonight,
a couple of shows tomorrow night. It's gonna be great.
You'll go hang out with Door two. I guess he's
gonna be hanging out out here. Yeah, dude, Hey, Troy, Pleasure,
finally meeting you. Any time you're in town, man, you
gotta come in. I'll chop it up man, good stuff, dude,
I'll bring a go to smoothie with Listen.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Apparently hate grogu so I don't even know.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
I'm going to Burger King after this, and I'm gonna
get the milkshack it's made of him.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Dude, that's terrible.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
I'm taking it back to the old school. I'm taking
it back to the old school book day.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
Now, look your mind into rewind let's.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Go that eighties, nineties, two thousands.
Speaker 7 (14:42):
Now you know.
Speaker 9 (14:51):
Their name is the game is it's time to play
throw back trivia?
Speaker 1 (14:58):
All right, a little tivty, Hell, I'll throwback trivia trivia
questions from the eighties, nineties, two thousand's and the twenty ten. Yes,
it is a random draw between the four of you
who play every week. So let's pick some players here,
all right? Playing this week? Is you Sky? You're backing
again coming off a big win. I know, coming off
(15:20):
a big win.
Speaker 8 (15:20):
Please let me play game again, Street.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
He's actually what is that supposed to mean?
Speaker 6 (15:26):
Well, I mean, Jamie's like five years old, so the
chance of him knowing throwback knowledge.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
He's one games.
Speaker 8 (15:33):
One game has one. But I feel this game.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
Is harder on him than anyone else, just because he's
the youngest.
Speaker 8 (15:39):
Of the crew. So that's why I always hope to
play Jamie.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Your opponent will be not Jamie, Emily. Oh okay, Emily.
Speaker 9 (15:51):
Immediately starts rubbing her helps warm up my mind, my
warm up, mama.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Okay, okay, this is weird. Let's begin, all right, all right, Sky,
you were up first.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Your question is from the two thousands, Sky, what is
the name of the high school in Mean Girls?
Speaker 8 (16:15):
Mean Girls?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Damn that in the rotation? I kind of felt like
it was.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
The mom from Mean Girls.
Speaker 8 (16:26):
I mean girls.
Speaker 6 (16:28):
No, I mean I do enjoy it. I've only seen
it a couple of times. But they named the high school. Yeah,
like I could keep up with a couple of references,
but I'm not dropping the references by any means.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Yeah, Wednesdays, we were pink. Thank you.
Speaker 6 (16:43):
Oh, someone showing off already, don't know.
Speaker 8 (16:52):
I'm gonna say Riverdale.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Good guy says Riverdale. That is incorrect. We were looking
for north Shore High.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
Okay, I was. I wasn't close. Okay, not even all.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Right, Emily, I don't know. I what this should be
in the in the rotation for Emily. I don't know,
though this is a very specific question, though your question
is from the nineties. Emily, what is the name of
the black cat in hocus Pocus? Oh?
Speaker 8 (17:28):
She loves hocus Pocus.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
She's standing up.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
I don't know if that's like she's trying to think
of what the name is cele or if she knows it.
I don't know what's happening right now. She's freaking out, throw.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Up why because all I have in my head is Jinx.
But that's obviously the cat from.
Speaker 8 (17:45):
Me the parents.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Oh, my god, that's why it's in there.
Speaker 9 (17:48):
That's why I keep saying jinx because I think the
cat's name is Binks.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
What, Emily, is that Your guess it is Binks? Oh
my god.
Speaker 7 (17:58):
She jumps in the air on her bad.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
I'm well you doing it?
Speaker 8 (18:02):
Yeah, that's why celebration.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
You haven't won the game yet, you, I know, But
I really love that movie. The full name is Thackeray Binks,
but they call it Banks.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Actually, I do remember hearing that. I just love that movie.
Speaker 9 (18:14):
And so if I didn't get that right, I was
gonna be really mad at myself.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Game would have been over.
Speaker 8 (18:18):
She would have been mentally she gets.
Speaker 9 (18:21):
I don't get mad. I don't like losing all of us,
so all three of us don't like it.
Speaker 8 (18:26):
Yeah, but you get really frustrated with your heart on yourself.
I am hard on my Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
It's almost creepy, very competitive.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Okay, all right, sky over to you.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Your question is from the eighties, one of my favorite
questions it's.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Ever been asked.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
I'll be honest with you, but I don't think it's
going to be in there, but I don't know, could
be Sky, Well, then tell me this.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Okay, from the eighties.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
What is the subtitle of the Porky sequel?
Speaker 2 (18:57):
So I'll give you this Porky's Too.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
Yeah, and then the subtimes back to be in perverts Porkys.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Didn't you say? You watch this movie? Yeah, my dad too?
With your dad.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
I've never seen it, but I know of it.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
It's in that movie.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Really, in Porky's I don't know, she's in the sequels,
very like it's very seventies.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Really that was in the eighties, right.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Yeah, it's eighties. All right. What's the Porky's two?
Speaker 6 (19:26):
Back to the locker room?
Speaker 8 (19:30):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Uh no, this guy, that is incorrect. It's Porky's Too.
The next day, the next day, that's what it was called.
Speaker 8 (19:38):
Next Day.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I don't know, that's what it's called.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
All right, there you go, All right, Emily, back over
to you. Your question is from the nineties, and it's
an audio clip. This is a song from the nineties,
So you got to.
Speaker 8 (19:51):
Get I mean, you love nineties a music.
Speaker 6 (19:54):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (19:54):
You very nervous?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Give me the name of this nineties artist or song
title from the nineties one you.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
No, you're right, really, I guess.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
That is every nineties song that is every ninetyes song.
I don't know what that Okay, what do you think, Emily?
What nineties artist or song titled did that clip come from?
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (20:27):
And I said, what about Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's Breakfast
at Tiffany's. I don't know the artist, but I think
the song is Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Ee says Breakfast at Tiffany's and she is correct. Wow,
so that is from Deep Blue something Yeah, hit Wow.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
One hit one.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
I really like that song.
Speaker 8 (20:46):
That's why I loved dow Wow.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Then I don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
I don't know, all right, Her, I have no idea. Honestly,
I have no idea. All right, Sky, over to you
your questions from the two thousand and tens, and it
is a movie description. I'm gonna describe a movie. You
gotta tell me what movie I've described from the twenty tens?
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Are you ready?
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (21:09):
All right? Sky? A US Marshall is sent to.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
A Menstal mental institution on a remote island to investigate
the disappearance of a missing patient. He discovers a web
of deception and starts to question his own sanity. What
twenty tens movie did I describe?
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Crap.
Speaker 8 (21:31):
This is one that I know what it is.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
This is Leonardo DiCaprio, but I don't.
Speaker 8 (21:38):
I'm not one hundred percent. I don't know the title.
Speaker 6 (21:41):
My brain is saying shutter Island, but I don't know
if that's a thing.
Speaker 8 (21:47):
What is the name?
Speaker 6 (21:48):
But I want to say like inception, but that's something else.
I see Leonardo DiCaprio in this movie. I'm gonna say
shutter Island.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Sky says, shut her eye island and you are crushed
gykay movie, Your brain says.
Speaker 8 (22:05):
My brain said it.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
You trust your brain, your brain.
Speaker 8 (22:11):
Your brain is wrong.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
You never seen it, but I'm impressed.
Speaker 8 (22:16):
Yeah, this is a good movie.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Twist and turns. Okay, okay, all right over to you. Emily.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Your question is also from the twenty tens. Emily, which
celebrity was not in the famous Ellen DeGeneres oscar selfie?
Speaker 8 (22:36):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Was it Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts
or Kate Blanchette?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Whoa who was not in that selfie?
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Okay?
Speaker 9 (22:49):
I know that Bradley Cooper was, and I know Jennifer
Lawrence was. Can you read the name is just one
more time.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Kate.
Speaker 9 (22:58):
Blanchette between Pitt and Roberts. For me, I'm gonna say
Brad Pitt wasn't.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Emily says Brad Pitt. That is in core Wrack.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Blanchette did make the selfie.
Speaker 9 (23:18):
I thought that was so random that that wouldn't. That's why,
That's why it was all right.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Back over to you, Sky, We got a ball game here,
here we go. This is an audio clip. This is
a movie from the two thousands. You gotta tell me
what movie from the two thousands?
Speaker 2 (23:35):
This clip is from Hi, Hi, my fingers.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Are extra fishy today, if you care to take away?
What was that?
Speaker 4 (23:47):
I was petting my wallrace all morning and I was
thinking about you the whole time.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Okay, perfect, I think that you should leave. I'm just
soving around because what we talked about yesterday, yesterday, I've
never even met you. All right, Sky, what two thousand's
movie was? That clip from.
Speaker 8 (24:06):
One of my favorites?
Speaker 6 (24:07):
Seen it about a dozen times building the waffle house.
Speaker 8 (24:11):
And then you know that she forgets so sad fifty.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
First dates Sky says fifty first dates and then weirdly kisses.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
That is correct.
Speaker 8 (24:21):
That was a gift for me. Chef's Kiss, Chef's Kiss.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Okay, I love that movie.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Wow with that that we've you've tied the game. You've
tied the game. We go, Emily, get in there.
Speaker 8 (24:32):
I am in there.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Get in there.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
I'm oldest one.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Get in there. All right, Emily, here we go. Your
questions from the nineties.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Emily, what was the name of the Golden Girls spinoff
show where they ran a hotel?
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (24:47):
God, oh wow, damn it? What my sister listening will
be upset?
Speaker 4 (24:51):
My sister live.
Speaker 9 (24:52):
I never knew they had a spin off show, so
that's going to be a problem with me answering this question.
Definitely definitely will been off show.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
Oh my.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Blanch's house.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
House. That is incorrect.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
I think about it ran a hotel, Golden Girls spin off,
gold Golden Palace.
Speaker 9 (25:18):
Oh, even if I got there, what said Golden Hotel
Palace would never be in.
Speaker 8 (25:21):
The damn it.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Okay, that didn't work out. All right, very good, sky
back over to you. Your question is from the nineties.
Sky which nineteen nineties one hit wonder song spent fourteen
consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot one hundred.
(25:44):
Was it Barbie Girl by Aqua, tub Thumping by Chumba Wamba,
Macarina by Los del Rio, Stay by Lisa loebe or
Mambo Number five by lou Bega years but one of
them was fourteen consecutive weeks on the number one Billboard chart.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
I mean they could all be a correct answer, so
I don't know, it would just be guessing. But before
you gave me the option, uh, the options, I immediately
envisioned Thor's dad doing the mockerna just dance for.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
Any song, and you name a song, a song if
he was with a mockerin. Wait, what really, Nirvana rape Mecarina.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I mean that I'm uncomfortable, so.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
Since I honestly believe it could be any of them,
but that's what was again in my brain, and my
brain did well before I'm gonna stick with my brain
and say, Cockerina the.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Mocarena is correct. Wow, Wow, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Go Brak, you're sure your brain?
Speaker 8 (27:02):
Okay, get it.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
We know everybody knows that you're not incredible.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
S all right, it comes down to this, Emily. Now
you got to get this question right, to tie the game,
to send it into a type breaking question.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
She's got pissed. I believe I appreciate that thing.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Emily, your questions comes from the two thousands. Emily, what
was Polly's nickname on the Sopranos?
Speaker 7 (27:30):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (27:32):
I didn't watch the Soprano?
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Have you ever heard?
Speaker 3 (27:37):
No?
Speaker 9 (27:37):
I was thinking that's James, James Vanderbek show, James Gelfini,
But that's not I don't think his name was Polly Buster.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
I don't know obviously, So I'm just guessing.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
If Emily is correct, we're going to Unfortunately, Emily that
is incorrect. Was known as poly Walnuts Walnuts soprano Tony. Okay, no,
Tony soprano Walnuts. So that means Sky back to back winds,
(28:19):
which has not happened all year.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Maybe maybe ever, to be honest, maybe ever.
Speaker 8 (28:26):
Don't judge my dances over here.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Emily's about the spiral.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Sorry, okay, all right, there you go. Uh so you
can see a lot of wild things go down in
our breakroom. It could normally be Sky or even Emily. Yeah,
mainly Sky want to avoid Sky in the break just
heads up. But Emily will do some wacky things.
Speaker 8 (28:52):
In there too, you know, don't know about that will.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
And then thor just won't talk to you. So these
are all the things that normally go down in the
break room.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
Yeah, it depends on my mood.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
But like, how how often is your mood like? Good?
Speaker 4 (29:07):
What's it a blue moon? Like we just had a
blue moon yesterday? You don't know.
Speaker 7 (29:11):
I was just getting hot water in there more and
how water? And I was talking to myself. So you
may have seen that because the hot there's two there's
two water filter machines. But I felt like the hot
water and water filtering machines wasn't that hot.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
So I went to the coffee pot, hot water way.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Hotter and what do you sing to yourself?
Speaker 7 (29:27):
I was just like, why is that? I go to myself,
I said, why is that not as hot as this?
That's really odd?
Speaker 3 (29:32):
I want to say that out loud.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yea so wild? Yeah? Okay.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
And so when you work in a building with I
don't even know how many people work here, would you
say one hundred, one hundred, one hundred.
Speaker 8 (29:46):
That's a good guess, that's I guess.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Okay, that sounds about oh one hundred.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
All right, So there's a lot of people that work here,
and you know, we are usually here so early that
there's not a ton and then usually around nine o'clock
is when the rest of the building starts to fill up. Yeah, okay,
So I don't go into the breakroom really at all
until after the show. After the show, my routine is
(30:12):
I washed my coffee mug and coffee pot out every
single day, and so usually that's when I'll have the interaction.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
From time to time.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
Yeah, I sit back in the office and Eddie goes
and watches his coffee pot, and that's normally when I'll
get a good story because Eddie will come back he'll
be like.
Speaker 8 (30:28):
You can't believe what so and so said, or you
can't believe what I just saw. So I wait for
those stories.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Yeah, it'll happen. Yeah, you're just like, what is going
on there?
Speaker 4 (30:37):
Man, Like somebody is warming a.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Fish in there and some crazy stuffy He's like, oh,
this is nuts. So I witnessed something a little while
ago with one particular coworker and I was confused by it.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
He recognized it was odd, Okay.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
So he had to explain himself and I just thought, oh,
that's silly whatever. But then it got even worse. So
what I witnessed a while ago was him coming in
taking So in that break room, we have spoons, forks, knives, plates,
you know, and then like coffee cups and things like that,
(31:14):
the plastic prapery pup. Yeah, they're all disposable things. So
we have that kind of stuff in there, the utensils
and things like that, which is nice plastic, you know.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
So he comes in with a plastic spoon that I
guess he had just used, and he starts washing it off,
and I'm looking at him, you know, as I'm drying
my coffee pot, and he goes, oh, yeah, all weirdo
over here. I'm just washing my spoon And I go,
what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Like, what do you mean?
Speaker 1 (31:42):
And he goes, I use the same spoon all week.
He goes, why get a new one every day? If
I can just wash this off? All I'm using it
is for yogurt, And so I'm washing it off and
I'll use one all week long and then I'll throw
it away.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
And I go, I go, why are you a big
environmental guy? He goes, not not really.
Speaker 8 (32:00):
Wait, well I would say, so, okay, Well.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Then what's the point He goes, I just did you know,
I don't see the points. I don't know, maybe because
I mean, it's not like it's coming out of his pocket. No,
you know, I mean I think we could afford it
as a company. Yeah, but that's what he just said.
He goes, you know what, I just don't. I don't
see the point of getting a new one every day.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
If I can just.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
Rinse this off and it's called spoon, that's the point.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
That's what we all think.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Not this guy, real big company guy saving millions with
this one spoon a week.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
My heart wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for
this guy.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
Than man.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Uh So we we've joked about that over the time.
I'm like, oh, washing your spoon, huh or something like that,
you know, you know, just over the time. Yeah, just
because I think it's weird and and I think he
recognizes it's a little weird, but it is.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
What it is. So that happened.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Well, he took it to another level where now I'm like, dude,
what's going on with this dude? I'm kind of scared
at this point. So I'm in there last week washing
my thing again when he comes strolling in doesn't have
a spoon, no spoon. What he has is his coffee cup,
which again is kind of papery.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
You know, what is that cardboard is?
Speaker 6 (33:18):
It's like paper on the outside, but then the inside
has like a bit of like I don't know what
that is, like.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
A plastic code or something so that it doesn't.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Everybody's seen those things.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
It's like a Starbucks cup or any of those cups.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
It's a coffee. It's a it's to use for coffee.
You know.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
He comes in and I witness him washing that out.
Speaker 8 (33:41):
Oh what?
Speaker 1 (33:43):
And I go, I go, I go, are you messing
with me? You're doing the spoon thing, you know, I go,
and he goes, no, I'm going to reuse this one too,
for a full week. And I go, dude, paper like
the spoon. Nobody does that, that's know. And so I'm like,
do you have a cert?
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I think?
Speaker 2 (34:04):
So, like, what's happening here?
Speaker 3 (34:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:07):
I go, I go, that doesn't make any sense, dude,
And so I'm kind of he seed like on my
face like I don't I'm concerned.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah, and he goes, he goes, yeah, why would I
throw this way? It's perfectly good.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
I just used it once for coffee, and so I'm
just gonna rinse it out and use it again.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Wow, I go, dude, you don't have to do that.
You don't really have to do that one right now.
When you're done with that, you're gonna rent it out.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
No, it's disgusting because it's like a plastic y. I
don't know it and when it gets wet, it's weird.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
It's just gross.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Well, and will he go I'm trying to know if
he'll go multiple liquids, like will he do coffee in
the morning in that cup and then water in the
afternoon in that same cup?
Speaker 8 (34:46):
Because that I.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Got away from him because I didn't want to be
a party about that.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
He did that that was unsafe for me to be
around him.
Speaker 9 (34:52):
Does and also where does he keep these Like does
he have like a paper towel or something where he like,
you know, like stuff like you put there.
Speaker 6 (35:00):
Moon because this guy probably if he's back where I
think he is, they have cubic holes.
Speaker 8 (35:08):
It's not like a big I.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Think he got a paper towel. And crazy.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
I think that people probably have insane stories around their
office of things people do for sure, like sky is
like the tip of the Iceberg.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Look look at the other freak show we just found building.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
This guy's more about her conversation than she has about
her behavior, which is worse to be.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
She will steal though, from the company.
Speaker 8 (35:36):
Splash.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Was it yours?
Speaker 8 (35:38):
Well no, but it.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Was, so she was steal.
Speaker 7 (35:42):
There's gotta be a time of need. There's got to
be so many crazy stories of people that do stuff
like this.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
I just and he's.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
It's a disposable cup. Do you not know what the
disposable part means?
Speaker 6 (35:53):
I want to see what this guy's kitchen cupboards look
like at his house, like just like plastic cups like Starbucks,
to like stuff like that.
Speaker 8 (36:02):
Emily does to.
Speaker 7 (36:03):
Me, Emily does something really weird. She washes zip lock
bags weird. I find that weird. But she doesn't think
it's how it is that happened. I mean, my grandma
grew up, my grandma back parties.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
I don't thinking like that something that I've always seen happening.
Speaker 9 (36:24):
I think it's weirder about the cup than this than
the spoon, because like the spoon, I get it plastics.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
The cup is just something that I can't wrap my.
Speaker 8 (36:34):
Head or I couldn't either both really weird.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Why not rinse off your stir stick? Oh yeah, and where.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Was his end?
Speaker 8 (36:40):
He probably does seriously crazy to me.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
He's got paper plates that are like kind of wet,
but he drives.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Oh yeah, that's so gross.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
So we got to ask for questions.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Yeah, I'm going to tell you guys in the break
who it is. I can't wait avoid him.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Got something going on there? Okay, yeah, not good
