Speaker 1 (00:00):
But I've never seen a guy more hyped in my life.
Thor it didn't even sleep last night, really did. That
New York Knicks game last night was one for the ages.
I'll give you that. It was unbelievable. I still can
the moment in case you missed it, the Knicks one
in a crazy comeback, biggest comeback in NBA Finals history.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
They had a tip in at the end of the
game to win it, which to me, I don't know
about you, but I think that's maybe one of the
biggest moments in New York sports history.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Oh yeah, it's up there with the Tyree helmet catch.
The only difference is that Tyree was like a nobody.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
With Aaron Boone home run Mount Rushmore. Look at this guy,
look at it. He's almost so dejected. I was.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
They were down almost they were on twenty nine points,
the game was over. It was just like an all
the mojo, all the momentum was gone, and like, what
was what was what was your attitude at the first half? Yeah,
I was just like this they silent. I was like,
it's so Nicks, Like, this is what I've seen. This
could have stop watching for twenty year is because.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Like, this is what they do.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
There was two games away the Spurs. I was just like,
the Spurs aren't gonna lose anymore. Like they've they're dominating.
They kind of dominated game three. I'm like, this is
this sucks. It's over again. And then you saw I
saw all the celebrities in the crowd, which is insane,
how many selects.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
It's so cool seeing that Taylor Swift is she's got
nicked fever. You know what the hell was that? I Texte?
Speaker 4 (01:24):
And I texted his wife Haley when I started watching,
because I started watching the second half and I was
texting this wife, Haley, and I was like, is he
annoyed that Taylor's there? Because we heard his rants about
how nobody can be nobody can just judge on before
Adrian body who was saying about other people like you
can't you have to suffer the years that he's put
in to be a NIX And he was audam it
about it.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
He said, there's no excuses, and that was what you said.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
But they were down so much that I didn't even
care they were they were they were getting killed.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Is she a good luck charm? Now? That's what Haley says.
He my wife. I mean she did. They don't lose
what she's in the building. Wow, she doesn't lose that,
she doesn't lose. I didn't know she was friends with
Marissa Mriska.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Yeah, apparently they're close risk big Knicks fans. She's got
a lot of there's actually friends, I guess. So I
think they just sit next to No. I think they're
actually friends. Yeah, mrisc is like friends with Knicks players
because Jalen Brunson is a big s VU fan.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Apparently that's all true. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
So, like when they finally won, she ran on the
court and was hugging players.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Allowed to do that?
Speaker 5 (02:31):
And what are your thoughts on Taylor Swift's puney T shirt?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Stevie Nicks brilliant? I did see that.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
It's just more Hey, look at me. You know I'm
getting married at the garden in a few weeks. Look
at me, brilliant.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Whatever, It really didn't bother me that much.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Game.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
They didn't win by a landslide.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
Nice one. Eddie didn't see it coming. That was impressive.
That was a present.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Like actually, really, now, if the Knicks would have been
still playing like they did the first half, I would
have annoyed.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, I would have annoyed everybody. Everybody. I would thank God.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, I couldn't. I still can't believe they won. I
still can't. I couldn't sleep. I was so pumped. And
then even in the post game, like they were trying
to go to highlights, but the crowd was so crazy.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Nobody was leaving, everybody was singing. It was one of
the craziest thing, I mean, and one of my favorite
things was seeing the celebrities reactions, Like Jerry Seinfeld's reaction
was one of my funniest. He's just in shock and
awe that he hit that tip in He's just like
like like.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
He couldn't move, going crazy. Anything he does is funny. Yeah,
so I kept watching him.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Out of Chris Rock. I mean, it was loaded yesterday,
like even more than I think the previous game. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
And then like there was a bunch of New York
Giants players there, but they were all on like the
second level, even near the court.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
On the receiving end of these losses for over a decade,
so as the Knicks fan, it's been even worse. So
like being on the other end of this is just
the great I fell asleep, like eleven thirty and multiple
times I couldn't sleep thinking about it.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I couldn't sleep that I had two buddies. That one
is in New York. It's a big Knicks fan. He
fell asleep in the fourth quarter because they were still
down twenty in the fourth quarter. Oh wow. And he
woke up this morning just miserable he missed it. Oh,
I can't even imagine. That's brutial. I was on the
phone my dad. I was going crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Hey, my wife snuck a video of me when they
tied it, when they went up one and the tipping.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Oh yeah, we got that's crazy. It's really crazy, you guys.
Wasn't the baby sleeping? Yeah? Oh yeah, yeah, I don't care.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
That's baby because it was like what it was like,
it was like eight thirty, so yeah, he was sleeping.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Oh dude, Wow, it was crazy insane. Well, we'll get
more into it the next hour in Sports Dirt, But
what a what a moment. The video is coming out
of New York. Are crazy. I'm just so happy you're
in a good move. That's all I care about. I
don't care if the Knicks win. To be honest with you,
I'm more of a Spurs guy. What I really Stefan Castle,
He's really good man. But but I'm just happy that
(05:12):
you're happy.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I can't stand he's such a bit like he's such
a bit generational.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Before this series, this is yes, before this series, you
are such a wimby guy. You were telling me all
this guy is so crazy. He's like the greatest thing
I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Dirty when he missed both.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Here we go, here we go. Uh, there was drama
my house as well. Now not on the lebel this, No,
not on the level of that, just a different level
of drama at my house. Uh. Yesterday, you know, of course,
wake up from a nap and there's a scuttle butt
going on between my wife and my daughter who's home,
(05:57):
you know, summer school, after after summer or whatever, and
there there there's a hubbub going on, and I'm like,
what's up and she goes, oh my god, my wife,
oh my god. Sound yeah, they're both they're both like that,
oh my god, there is a hurt baby bird in
our driveway. And immediately go please don't turn into Haley.
(06:23):
This is this is what you do, is what you
deal with NonStop? Like like didn't she one time, like
pick up a seagull or something. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Birds, She's she saved a bird once and brought it
to the Humane society.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Wow here maybe a squirrel. To all these random animals,
each of those.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yeah, and it's just she tries to bring them in
the house.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
I say no, but well that that would no put
intended never fly because I would never allow that. I
mean I literally would. Yeah, you have multiple cats in
your house right now because of this, So immediately get
Hayley vibes and I'm like, oh no, come on, man,
like no, what are you talking about? Okay, So we
(07:10):
have a lot of creatures at our house. You know,
we live out in the boonies, and so you'll see
animals all the time and hurt animals and whatever. I mean,
the amount of bunnies that have come and gone, gee,
I wonder where they went, you know, get eaten. It
happens all the time. And so it's like, well, okay,
like we can't save everybody.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
A circle of life guy.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I mean, what are we going to do? Then? Yes,
the probably is some snake that comes and eats this burden.
You know, it is what it is? What do you mean? Awe?
I don't.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
I don't like to think about it.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
You eat chicken, Okay, I get it, my chicken.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
I'm again, I'm a nature person, but still I struggle
sometime with nature. Like I'm really into whales right now,
but I'm mad at the orcas.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
So oh oh really yeah, really looks on board.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
The Orca's just to out a gray whale, a thirty
five foot gray whale by my house in South Beach.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
That just washed up. Nobody my house in South Beachreon,
by the way, like, where do you live in Miami?
That was the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
I thought you were talking about South Mission Beach.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Another great Sorry, nobody knows what you're talking I met
Oregon jerks.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Okay, jerks, Well, I mean you're attacking me. It was
it was just it was I wasn't trying.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
My house in southeas dead.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
It does and hell, and then the experts just came
out and said it was killed by a pot of workahs.
And it makes me now mad at the orcas.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Okay, but again, now you're finding.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Circle of life, like, I get it this they're doing
orcat stuff. But it's still like you saying a snake
eating a bird baby Mart's live.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Well, you know, I like how you pick and choose
which animals you like.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
I do.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
I did like.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
That's I openly admit it. The cuter ones, the nicer ones.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
But some of them are cute and not nice like
a raccoon are.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
They're scrappy, nasty. So this this bird is whatever, it's injured,
it's a baby bird. It's like lying in the driveway
or something and whatever, and so there. I think they
want me to help. I'm not gonna help. What do
you want me to do to help? I'm not touching
some weird bird. Sorry, I don't like. I don't know
what diseases I think? Ask with gloves, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
Garden gloves, kitchen gloves.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Where do I have? Garden gloves? Rubber gloves? You don't
have I have?
Speaker 5 (09:37):
You don't have one pair of gloves in your house?
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Where for what? I don't know? In your garage? Working
for what are you talking about? Chopping wood, pulling weeds?
What do I don't know?
Speaker 5 (09:47):
I think every house has a pair of garden gloves.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Me, look at me me, Okay, yard guy, get get
out of here. Kind of a sky that is pretty wild?
One pair of gloves.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I have landscaepers, especially with such a big property, like I.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Need the gloves for like one random thing. Though. Sure
I got all kinds of gloves, of course you do.
How big are the catcher customized gloves?
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I do?
Speaker 4 (10:14):
I do share the gloves with Robert though, the rubber
ones that are like they are the men's.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, so yeah, there's no way I'm helping. There's no
way I'm helping. So, uh, Demra goes out there and
there's like a big commotion and stuff like that, and
she comes back in to let me know what she did. So, uh,
we we will get randomly. There's this one spot where
we have this outdoor speaker, but it's not hooked up.
(10:42):
It just sits. There is the front in the back.
In the back is where the speaker is in the
front of where the baby bird lies. And I don't
even know if it's live, to be honest, so we
don't even know. I don't know. I think that I
think they are probably checking on it or whatever.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
You're not even asking to care less.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I could care less.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
I feel like it must be giving some signs of life. Yes,
they would, it would, they would be handling this difference.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
I agree. Yeah. So they go back out or there
was there's this outdoor speaker in the back, and we
for some reason, birds love to build nests right there,
and so I've knocked down probably fifty since we've lived there.
They put the nest there. It's right above where my
my daughter's bedroom is, and so birds will be chirping
and wake her up and she'll be like that, I
(11:24):
think there's another nest there. So I got out there,
knocked the nest down, sometimes with the eggs in it,
I don't know. I can't go out there. Look, so
I just I just I'm never going to do that.
Knock it down, dude, throw it away, whatever. My god,
I'm sending a message. I'm like, I'm like, I'm like
(11:46):
a bird mob, you know, Like I got to send
a message. I'll leave the eggs there for the other
birds to say one to see, don't build quit building here. Oh,
send a message. Oh I don't like it, don't like you.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
You're a mean mob boss.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
That's I gotta send a message. So I'm not messing around.
So I recently, I want to say, like two days ago,
knocked the nest down, the no eggs in it. But
I did not throw it away. I just left it
there again, trying to send a message like look what happened, dummies.
And so I don't know how my wife sought again,
you know, saw the nest and because it kind of
(12:21):
ends up in this like built in planter almost, so
I don't know how she saw it, but she must
have known it was there, because she walked around, picked
up this old nest and then came over and put
the bird in this nest. Oh, and then transferred the
nest into like a low branch on a tree.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Like to set it like a little nook there off the.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Ground and kind of safer. She came back in and
she goes, I'm basically snow white. I go, there's snow white,
because yeah, I saved the birds. She's got like animals
that follow her.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Around, land on her shoulder and sink to her.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah. And I looked at her and I go, you
know what you did, right, You've killed that bird. You've
killed that bird. You put it in a nest that
is a foreign bird's nest that the birds are never
going to come around. The mom and dad birds aren't
going to come around and help this bird now because
(13:30):
you did that. Well, I mean, you know how they
build nests right with their mouths and then they spit
on it and stuff to make it like stick. So
if another bird built that nest, there's no way other
birds are going to come around. The bird's dead. It's
probably dead this morning.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Well, I feel like she killed it. At least she
was trying something.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Well, in your world, you would have just left it
there for the snakes to come get.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Maybe, you know, the mom bird comes and checks them
out and picks them up or something. I don't know
she could pick them up.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
You've had this happen before, And I swear my wife
poked some holes in a shoe box and then put
some like leaves and sticks.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
In there and then brought it to the Humane Society.
A bird like, what are they going to do?
Speaker 4 (14:17):
You think the project wildlife that actually takes things just
like this.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Yeah, a bird like.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Birds, squirrels, they don't they're project.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
They're like, they're a good like. They rehabilitate them and
then let's set them free.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Yeah, so it did definitely was the worst thing you
could have done.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
But I mean she did something other than just the head.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Yeah, okay, I don't think that actually would have been
more humane.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
I don't think so, because that is suffering, starving right now?
Speaker 1 (14:51):
What did she like?
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Excuse me, I love her, I love her so much.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
What did she feed it? Like? Worm? She looked it
up and said, you will eat seeds and worms and
things like that. Yeah, somehow she found a worm. She
where like digging around, looked up a rock and you
see worms? Is that right? All the time? A lot
of times she found a worm, put it in with
the nest and then went and got like a sunflower
(15:16):
seed and put it in there like a David salted. Yeah,
and then the seeds on the ground, yell, pickles seed
in there? Go to town. So I guarantee the worm
got eaten. I don't know she put it in the nest.
Has she been out there yet this morning? I don't know.
(15:38):
I haven't heard.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Yeah, come on, what are we doing?
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Did you check this morning? Eddie? I didn't go to
the tree to climb it and see if the No,
I didn't. I don't care. I would have asked me to.
Would would you have done it? Okay? Would you have
pretended like you? I couldn't get up there, it's doing great.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
It looks good though, and then she and then she'd
be sending pictures of it right now in the bedroom,
in the bedroom.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
She just lives with you. Now, Okay, yeah, that's never.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
Gonna happen, but a nice effort.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Snow White living at my house, correctly stupid, stupid,
