Speaker 1 (00:00):
So I don't know if you saw it off in
the distance. Yesterday the Eddie signal went up and I went,
I got you. Don't worry, I'm here. I see it.
The alert happened. I got you. Whenever there is a
bad top ten out there, it is my responsibility to
get in there and make the world right again. And
(00:21):
that is what I'm about to do.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's about to happen. Would you say, would you say
that you agree? Or are you pissed?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
You're gonna hear now, You're gonna hear now Eddie's Top
ten List's.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Top ten lest.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Great quartet here is so good. Yes, it is time
for another top ten. And it is because yesterday we
had a really bad one. Yeah, yesterday was it? The
New York Times New York Times released their Greatest Movies
of the twenty first century and it was one hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah. I didn't do all one hundred. I could have easily,
but it's top ten list, right, Thank you, thank you well.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Their top ten movies of the twenty first century were
got awful, like none of our favorites, weren't there.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
No, there were some that I even had to google
because I didn't know, Like in the mood for love.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
I don't even know what Number four.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Their number one movie of the twenty first century was
that movie Parasite. Yeah, the foreign language film that won
Best Picture, which I never even saw.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
That is awful. It might be good. Rather, it might
be good.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
I don't know, but I mean it is the best
movie of the twenty first centuries. You're not gonna watch.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
The no, not I just I'm not reading subtitles. I'm
not doing it that.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
You're a big reading even like, yeah, yeah, I've read
what I read two days in a row.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Reader, I read a book two days in a row. Respects.
Come on, bro, So I said, listen, I can't have
this happen now. There is going to be a caveat
what what? What have we got?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
As I was preparing to put this together of my
top ten movies of the twenty first century, I go, well,
all ten of them are going to be Star Wars
and MCU movies, all of them. So that's gonna it's
gonna dominate the list. Those are my favorite movies. And
so I went, Okay, I can't do that. So I
(02:33):
decided to do a non nerd list. So no, no
Star Wars, movies, No MCU movies, no Lord of the Rings.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
No Hobbit movies.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I didn't even put in Dark Knight because I'm like,
that's you know, even though I feel like that's not
in those same category, it kind of is.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
So I took I took it out. I took it.
I took all those out.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
So these are non nerd movies, my favorite movie movies
in the past.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Twenty first cent.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
I actually really appreciate that because I didn't think about
it till now.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, this would be all marvel.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
I could do the top ten MCU movies. I could
do the top ten Star Wars movies. But that what's
the point of that, right, you guys already get it?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Okay, you know I like this.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, So obviously Avengers Infinity War, Endgame, Rogue one. Those
would be one, two, three, somewhere in there one time,
somewhere in there.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
But anyway, so these are my top ten movies of
the past twenty first century, the non nerd edition, all right,
coming in as my number ten movie. Some of these
are gonna surprise you because I don't know that you're
going to see them coming. Like, I don't know that
I've talked about it a lot that I'm like, I
really love that movie. Number ten is one that four
(03:46):
is kind of close to it is the movie Loan Survivor.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Oh wow, I haven't seen that, which is crazy to
think about, I know. But the reason why I'm close
to it is because Michael Murphy and yeah and me
are both in my high school hall.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, that doesn't make any say. They went one guy's
a war hero when they made a movie about it.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
They went one step close to with Michael Murphy and
named my high school after him.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Well, that's incredible. Yes, my high school. Are you jealous of?
What a weird?
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I mean?
Speaker 2 (04:14):
I mean I wouldn't say that.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
I would just say that we're both high school Hall
of famers and they apparently did a big thing.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Are you looking up Lunce Forever right now? Yeah? Mark
Wahlberg is in it. Are you an American? I don't
think you are. You've never seen it. My dad was
in Vietnam. You don't know that story. I don't. Oh
my god, sounds really into the military.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
We should watch dude, tough Watch Listen. How do you
know you haven't seen it?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I know that because because I know because I know
the story.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
The story is incredible. I know the story I got.
And the cast is phenomenal. Mark Wahlberg great in it,
your boy, Taylor Kishes and incredible.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
And laz Mike, Michael Murphy, and we interviewed him. It's crazy.
Not Michael Murphy interviewed. We interviewed Taylor kisch Uh.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
It's great, dude, And you sit there and you watch
it and go, how how do these guys do it?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Like it was?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
It's an unbelievable movie, and it's gonna give you chills.
It's gonna probably make you cry. I mean, it's it's
unbelievable if you're an American. Let me tell you something. If
you're an American, this is the weekend to do it.
It's July fourth weekend. Watch Loan Survivor. It's that good.
And it made my number.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Ten me and Michael Murphy.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Which that that that brings it down, dude, don't say that,
all right? My number nine movie maybe another surprise. Now,
you guys know, I'm a big fan of zombie movies.
I'm a big fan of you know, world apocalyptic movies. Here,
(05:51):
so my number nine movie is World War Z. Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
You don't like World War Z.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I do, but the ending was so like why I
just felt like it was a completely like it was
like two movies. Like one movie was like all like
zombie and crazy.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Then then he went to kind of gets like you're
out of your mind.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
But they never made a sequel, which they should have.
I thought you were gonna say I am Legend, so
it was between the two. Really, I'm more of an
iron legend man.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I thought you couldn't watch that movie because the dog.
That's true.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
I did see. I didn't know the dog thing was
gonna happen. I love I Am Legends. I only watched
it once.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, I love I Am Legend as well, but I
am more into World War Z. Maybe Brad's best movie
of the twenty first century, well, I mean the New One.
Everyone people love this New one f one.
Speaker 2 (06:42):

Once upon a Time in Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Wow like you guys, you give me zombies, an alien invasion,
you give me those kind of things. Oh yeah, wow,

the gate.
Speaker 2 (08:10):

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Or she's the one that her voice is so hard.

I'm the hero. You might be honestly. Yeah, so a
quiet place coming in at number eight. My number seven
movie is one I think Emily has seen Top Gun Maverick.
Oh yeah, how hard is it to make a good sequel?
(08:41):
How hard is it to make a good sequel.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Forty years later?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
It's unbull it's it's unprecedented almost. But that movie. Thor
says he likes it better than.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
The original do whenever it's on. I love it scene
when he's trying to show a way that they can
make they could do the course chills.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Chills, Tom flying that play. The fact that they don't
say it's the Russians, but the Russians.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
You know, the Russians, because they wanted to probably film
at least in Russia now.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
And it's really what put your boy Glenn Powell on
the map.

My number six movie of the past or of the
twenty first century. I can't want to say past, but
it's twenty first century as another one that's gonna surprise
you guys. I love this movie like a lot, and
(09:42):
I don't know that you guys are not aware of it.

tell you everything about this movie because I'll watch it
whenever it's on. Is the movie The Martian with Matt Damon?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Huh? I love it?
Speaker 1 (09:57):
I love The Martian? Think about it again. You give
him a movie when you're isolated and have to survive
and figure and it's so well done and so smart
that I gotta tell you, I think it's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
I want to see that one. That one always interests me.

two Days in a Row. I told you guys, it's private,
but I've read two Days in a row.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
The Martian is phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (10:39):

you could like quote it.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh, I can tell you anything about it. I can
tell you anything about it your own poo potatoes, could
I Yeah, Well, I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (10:49):

Michael Sarah give that man an Oscar. Now Sarah, Michael

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Is that true? I don't think it is. But who
cares google it? I don't want to google it.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Number three of my top ten movies of the twenty
first century. Another comedy, one that I will watch every
time it's on, and every time it's on I laugh.
Step Brothers, Thank you. I love that without a doubt.

Actually I love I loves it, but you don't want
to departy love my dad loves Oh jeez, Okay, No,
everybody believes that these are my top ten movies of
the twenty first century, which is way better than The
New York Times, the failing New York Times, if you
(14:20):
don't mind me saying this, of course, the non Nerd
Edition coming in as my number one movie of the
twenty first century. When I saw this movie in theaters,
I have never in my life laughed harder than when
I saw Anchorman The Legend of ron Berg.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
I saw it at the La Joya Theater and I'll
never forget it sitting there and I had to go
watch it again because I missed so much of it
because I was laughing so hard the first time I
saw it. I've never seen anything like it. It was
so good and so without a doubt. To me, it's
the best comedy maybe I've ever seen, and it's number
(15:08):
one on my list strongly, so there you are. Strong lit, yeah,
take that. Failing New York Times feels good, So there
you go.
