Speaker 1 (00:12):
Eddie's top ten list, Eddi's top ten list. All right,
here we go. Now, guys, I'm gonna take you to
history class.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I was worried about this. I really hope you do,
because I don't.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Have much knowledge in this department.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Really about our history.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Yes, President, Like, sometimes I'll hear like President so and so,
and I'll be like, that's not a real president.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
And you're not a taft chick.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
And so. So I really hope there's an explanation which.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yet, No, there's a reason. Yes, yesterday was President's Day
and we sort of just celebrate two to kick ass ones.
I'll give you that. I mean, they'll probably be in
this top ten. I'm guessing. But you know, we decided,
you know what, I'm going to break this down because
I'm a little bit of a history buff. I know
thora is a little bit of a history guy, and
so I went, you know what, I'm going to break

(01:09):
down my top ten favorite presidents.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
President included Listen.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
He could make it. He could make it. Is he
one of my favorites.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I know people that think he's the greatest ever.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Yeah, I've heard that.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Or maybe I'll go the other way. We're sleepy Joe.
Is he one of my favorites?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Always letting everywhere in the country. You know, I've heard that.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
I don't know if we need to go this way.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Who knows where I'm going with this? That is wild,
you know. Wow, there's a lot of them. This could
get crazy. Yeah, but let's start off with my top
ten US presidents of all time.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
And what a year to two hundred and fifty year
of the nation.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Beautiful.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Wow, look at this guy.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
The timing perfected. Thank you, eagle on his shoulder right now.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Thank you, Thank you. Love America, okay, love our history
on the radio, big time, big time. Here we go,
starting in at number ten. Sky. I'm sure you are
well aware of what James Madison did for US. Our
fourth president.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Named a university after him.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
Oh yes, James Madison usually like a bubble team in
the NCAA tournament.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
You're in Europe, Okay, we're not.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
We're not. We're not playing athletics here. James Madison is
a founding father. You know, all those guys back then
you know, they were part of the you know, founding
of our nations.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Saw this at Hamilton. When I went saw Hamilton, I learned.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
That James Madison sing, is he the one that got
killed or that was at Hamilton that got killed and
the duel?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Oh yeah, no, I think we was Hamilton.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Okay, but listen, James Madison was a big advisor to
George Washington. Wow. Yes, led us into the battle the
War of eighteen twelve. Oh, that was a big one
for us. It was against the Brits, right, Okay, those
guys try to get back in, you know, and we're like,
get out of here, man.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yeah, go away?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Is that what we said?

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Here?

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Man?

Speaker 1 (02:56):
We are James Madison actually acquired a lot of territories
in the US, and so him and Thomas Jefferson they
actually founded the Republican and Democratic parties against the Federalist
part of the mistake, well now it is, But back
then it was actually a really good thing, you know.
So but now now it's a nightmare. But what whatever.

(03:20):
James Madison very important to the to the nation, and
as we know it today, wowed one of my faiths. Wow.
Didn't see it coming right, coming in as my number
nine favorite president. This guy should be higher on the list,
but as I, as I broke things down, he kind
of kept dropping a little bit. I was a fan
of him because of his HBO series. I went with

(03:44):
John Adams John Adams Paul Giamatti series. Okay, check it out.
Great John Adams, second president of the United States, of course,
another founding father father. He was the first vice president
under George Washington president vice president. No, he was vice

(04:05):
president to president. Yeah, part of the American Revolution. Obviously,
it was a big deal. Get you town, you got
to watch. The series was great. You learn a lot
about John.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Have you ever seen Ableton? Okay, just make a sure.
It's another good recommendation.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Just because you've seen Hamilton, don't and you you haven't
retained any information.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
That's the only reason I know these two people like.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Because you saw Hamilton, you're like very well, yeah, you know,
like you've watched a legit documentary history.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
I've also seen National Treasure.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Wow. So basically at that time, we were going to
go to war with France as well, so this was
going to be really bad. And he actually decided to
not go to war with France and broke her to
peace deal, which saved a lot of lives, which which
is good, which is good. Fun fact about John Adams,
first president to live in the White House. There was

(05:02):
no White House before John Adams, so kind of apartment. Yeah,
I think he had. I think you had a place.
I think he had his own spot studio. So it's
pretty sweet. He's pretty sweet coming in as my number
eight favorite US president, the D Dwight D. Eisenhower, really

(05:24):
thirty fourth president end of World War Two. He did
really he was well, he didn't end it. He was
a commander of the Allied Forces during World War Two,
but he.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Was the president after World War Two, right, like the
next one or.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
No, no, I don't damn it. I don't believe he was.
That was FDR. No he after FDR. Oh goodness, Well,
FDR led us through the war. I know that. So
maybe Eisenhower after it. There you go.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
I thought you were like a p history.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
He's working on it, he's working on it, he's working
on it. Eisenhower a big proponent of desegregation. We like that.
We like that. And in the conflict in Korea, maybe
that's what you were thinking of.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Yeah, you know Korea.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, so Eisenhower. Pretty kick ass, pretty kick ass guy,
coming in as my number seven favorite president on the
heels of President's Day. This one could come with a
little controversy. Thomas Jefferson Jefferson. Hey, you're a mount Rushmore guy,
you know. Thomas Jefferson, big kind guy, third president of

(06:32):
the United States. Obviously a little controversy, slave owner, not good,
different times, different times. But he was the main author
of the Declaration of Independence. I mean, come on, bro,
he acquired the Louisiana territory, you know, come on, vastly expanded.
Look at this guy. Look at this guy.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
It's been a little Clark expedition.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Come on, bro. He expanded the size of the country greatly,
slash the national debt by a third.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Right, so say we are, We've already done that. So
Jefferson had some good and bad, good and bad. But
he's definitely a founding father, you know. Oh, you're right,
you're big Tom Jefferson.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
I don't like this pick, but okay, we're all different.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Okay. I don't think you know anything about Thomas Jefferson
other than the.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Yeah, some of us social things are.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
More important some of us. I think George Washington on slaves.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yeah, I know, but you know we haven't got there.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
All right, coming in as my number sixth US president,
you may not know enough about this guy. I my
number six guy is pretty badass. Teddy Roosevelt, big Teddy man,
big Teddy fan, twenty sixth president. You wouldn't know this
by looking. You know, when you see Teddy, you see
the big mustache and all that kind of stuff. Young guy,

(07:52):
young guy only forty two? Wow? Wow? Yeah, Teddy Roosevelt
was only forty two.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Are all our presidents so old?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Now? Why is broh? Yeah? But I mean look at
that guy at forty two. He looked like he was
a hundred. He looks so old.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I don't know very well. By Robin Williams and Night.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I don't know call. I don't know that was a
great call. I don't know that that was a great one.
The Teddy had a lot of progressive reforms, strong on
foreign policy, of course, made the famous quote speak softly
and carry a big stick. That was Teddy one. Yeah, yep,
haved out doorsman. Oh oh yeah, oversaw the expansion of

(08:33):
the National Park sky Oh.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Teddy Teddy was kick ass, all right, now we're into
the top five territory for my favorite US president? Has
your Has yours been named yet? Coming in at number five? Again,
this could be controversial for the other way. What JFK

(09:00):
jay have thirty fifth president? Listen, ladies, man, like, this
is why I'm a fan.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
He does.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
He had a live for the ladies, does he?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Because he didn't make it through all four years?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
No, he didn't. But his his presidency was wrought with
all kinds of drama, all right, I mean we of
course he stood up to the Soviets, you know, said
said not not today, Soviets. I'm pretty sure it was
obviously diffused the Cuban missile crisis, which would have been
the could have been the end of us obviously. Uh,

(09:36):
you know, big proponent for civil rights, you know, things
like that, challenged us to go to the moon even
though we had zero capabilities to do that. But we
did it. We had to figure it out and we did.
Sky obviously was not in office long, but that all
that stuff is pretty crazy. And dude, right there, he's

(09:58):
skyrocketed in my sky market a family Maryland Monica Lewinsky.
I mean, come on, bro, I mean, if you're gonna
do it. I'm just saying, coming in as my number
four favorite US president is the father of our country,

(10:22):
George Washington, only four, only came in number four mission.
You know, George, George is cool.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
He was cool.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
He's a one termer. Though he didn't want it, didn't
want it. The job after that, well, you know, listen,
he fought for the constitution. You know, this was this
was trying times. Obviously, the birth of our nation had
a lot going on. But g Dub was just like,
I'm good man, all right, I'll do the job. After four,
I'm good, I'm square and so and so he was done.

(10:53):
So he didn't do it. You know, obviously he's the first,
so I mean that kicks ass. But I don't know
that there's a lot there other than forming the nation.
You're trying to figure all that stuff out. And then passed,
he passed, He passed the ball. But but George is great.
I mean, when you're when you're the father of the country, man,
you're top five without a doubt. Mount Rushmore guy, come

(11:15):
on big time, big time. But the next three hold
a special place in my heart, special place. And number
three you don't have a special place in your heart.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
For presidents, I think that maybe the weirdest list.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
We my number three favorite president on the heels of
President's Day of course f D number one amazing, Yeah,
thirty second president. He took over during the Great Depression,
which I mean, you want to talk about tough times.
He got us through, that led us through World War Two.

(11:48):
This guy, this is crazy, elected to four terms. Didn't
make it through the fourth, but elected to four terms. Yeah,
wheelchair guy, wheelchair president. Unbelievable, four terms. Think about that.
He was very popular, very popular because this guy was
kick ass.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Now how do we do four terms?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
They different different wars at different times, different times.

Speaker 5 (12:15):
My grandma Judy saw his wife give a speech in Brooklyn.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Insane. Wow, wow is that coming in as my number
two president in my favorite US Presidents is a guy
that is basically from my childhood that made me go, oh, okay,
these are presidents I kind of understand it now again
all through the eighties, Ronnie, nobody better O there's one guy.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
But war war on drugs didn't really work.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Well. We tried, we tried. Can you say no you
ever heard of that? I have? That was that was
that was, that was listen. Ronnie. Ronnie was kick ass brouh.
This was all through my childhood. So that that was
the guy that made me go, Okay, that's president. That's
that's really cool. Movie star, huge star, and that again
you got charisma, bro, jump you're jumping on the list.

(13:11):
We had booming times economically. I mean we're all buying houses.
We're buying I mean with the eighties were that was
the time. What a time to be alive man. Everyone was,
you know, a lot of bread on the table thanks
to Ronni Man obviously strengthen our national security again, we
were dealing with the Soviets over there, you know, and

(13:32):
did the Cold War, Cold War zone. We were ready
for World War three guys. And then Ronnie put it
into it. Wow okay and then you know, tear it
down your wall. Yeah. It was great. Love love Ronald Regan. Man,
love Ronald Reagan again. And this is kind of even
politics aside. I don't care. I just remember eighties eighties
were what a what a what a great time time,

(13:52):
what a time to be alive man. So Ronald Reagan
came in at number two, number one. I think you
can probably figure it out. I mean, number one is
the goat. He is the best president of all time.
For you don't know sky he's going.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Do you know where he's going?

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Emily, I do Abraham Lincoln? Ever heard?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
It would be?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
You don't realize that's.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Where I just don't want to spoil it.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Number president? What number was he? Come on? This is
so embarrassing, are you guys? You guys? It's crazy the
school has.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Then did when did slavery end? Guys? When the fourth
or fifth president?

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Oh, this is embarrassed. I don't know sixteenth president? How
do you not know that? Wow? I'm honestly horrified by
our school system should be.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
It's really bad. I mean I wasn't okay, spoken.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Right now trying to shame us who was getting all
the facts wrong earlier.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
Listen, he's got some facts about brand just thought the
Silver War was twelve years into that. I wasn't even
thinking about all that stuff. Did you know I was
present during the Civil War Black I did know that totally. Well,
I mean, but I would hope he freed the slaves.
I mean's amazing. I mean this this guy was unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Yeah, very proud of him.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
I think he'd be skynised pape too.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Yeah, number one on your listeners, right up here and
in your heart.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Ye, there you go.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Any honorable mentions or no, I don't.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Want to get into that. I don't think we need
to do that. I think we need to do that.
Let's just celebrate Presence Day our nation. Okay, I love America.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
