Speaker 1 (00:00):
But yesterday, at the end of the show, we talked
about a new viral trend where people were putting frozen
pickles in save blanc. And obviously that sounds weird, right,
I mean, what the hell? Yeah, what are pickles having

(00:20):
a moment right now?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
They kind of are on Instagram.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah, people are doing lots of different things like pickle
popsicles or pickle juice martinis or pickles are having a moment.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, and it sounds like it's frozen pickles.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Yeah, I mean, pickles are having a moment in all
different way. But there is a lot of frozen pickles.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, so frozen pickle thing. Whatever. Emily her drink of
choice is savion blanc. She wrong.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
I yeah, I've never known somebody so specific.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
Like I oh yeah, don't get it. Twist this guy
New Zealand that said she will drink anything. It's not
like she only drinks that.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
But if you got as a chardinay and like Mama
is really wanting a glass wine and it's in a pinch,
I'll take it. Yeah, Mama, Okay, it's not gonna be
my favorite, you know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (01:10):
If you have no alcohol in the house, but rubbing alcohol.

Speaker 6 (01:13):
Yeah, if somebody abandons a glass of wine on a bar,
seen it and she walks by, she'll drink it.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Seen it. Yeah, it was that one of the more
unfortunate moments that we witnessed. You do that.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
We bring it out early in your show day.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, I would say, so.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, you wish we did.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Now, you wouldn't have done that, like you would have
done it, but you would have made sure you were.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I don't know what I was thinking. I wouldn't do
that now, I don't believe. But that's I feel like
maybe I've.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
No mama wanted what mama wanted.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yes, so I don't even remember, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Oh I remember. I want to remind you.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Okay, I don't. So Emily likes that, and so we
heard about this viral trend and we're like, well, okay,
you gotta try it. I mean, maybe you do. And
you're very specific about your pickles as well.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Very specific about it, which are which are the claws
and the ones that can get in refrigerated exception pickles
the best until those Grillo pickles came out.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Those gorillas.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Have you seen those g R I L R O
S they're like all the all the rage right now, and.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Those are really they have little pickles.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Mostly disks, but their spears too, but those are good.
Those need to be refrigerated to it's delicious.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Oh you're refrigerated pickle gaut.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
And why is that they just taste better?

Speaker 3 (02:36):
I think so. I think they taste fresher. I think
they're just better. But also, did we.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Put it to the test and make you do a
taste test? I think I did, right, I think you did.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I didn't think I got.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I think you did. Okay, so you know your wine,
you know your pickles, because the two things that you're
very well versed in.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
This is made for you.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Well, so yeah, we were like, well, Emily, you got
to try this and like allus, you know, this may
change your world. Like people say they like it. Yeah,
I don't know why, but.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
Well because I mean, I don't know about you guys,
but I hear that and it sounds gross but you
but so many TikTok and Instagram videos later, you start going, well,
maybe I'm the weird one.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Maybe I'm the one who doesn't get.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
You say, it's supposed to give like a dirty martini vibe.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Yes, yes, like how the first person, the first person
to put olives in a martini did, did you know
a radio show sit around martini.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Chy like they're crazy? That's weird? Who would do that?
And now everybody does it?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, but that doesn't that's not as offensive because vodka
doesn't have a sweet taste to it. It's just very flat,
So putting that in there isn't flat white like the
wine that I drink is sweet like flowetsh and like
Chris like with apple notes.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
So if they were saying this a vodka douche.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
She doesn't know anything about anything, but man, that's she
knows everything about.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
When you go to like a winery, are you just
like feeling it in your element?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I only know about the the most I know, like
the chardenays are oakier and buddy or but do you
like reds?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I do like a red So when you when you
sip a red, can you tell like the different notes
I can pick up? It's never more impressed.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Yeah, I drink I got no clue like it's wine.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
It's either very advanced palate, So I could tell.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
You you would be fun to go white taste.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I never have. Let's do together, I don't really drink wine,
but what I do, I do feel sassy.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I feel like he would skip through the vineyard, That's sure.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
I would at Eddie the time you're on your third
vineyard or whatever.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
This guy, this guy's a.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Silly boys, spit it out and like other people's.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Mouths, okay instead of the bucket.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Come on, I'm in, where do we go? Let's go,
let's go down anyway, So last night we said, all right, eminiely, yeah,
whatever your go to time when you usually have your
first glasses. And we thought that would be like ten
oh one. It's not, but you said, no, it's gonna
be somewhere around four or five ish.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah, right, yeah, it's in the five realm.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Now, you guys know that sometimes with certain things, I
tend to spin out a little bit about them and
overthink them, and.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
It's just it's a simple thing.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
But like whatever, whenever I film myself, it's like such
a task because I I film it a zillion times,
or I want to film at a zillion times. Setting
it up is weird. Get I get nervous, like the lighting,
like I feel I don't know, so I was just
I always get nervous about it.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
So did that happen last night?

Speaker 3 (05:59):
So that happened a little bit.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
This was pre wine, so you couldn't even relax pre wine.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Mom didn't have any you know, relaxation juice, going medicine.
A good thing was my son wasn't there to like
add to the tension and be like making noise in
the background. So that was a bonus. That was a bonus.
That good.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
So I set up my little tripod in the kitchen.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Pod, a little like iPhone tripod with like a ring
light on it.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
When you used to film those sweet YouTube cooking videos.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
Oh yeah, no, no, it's not the hacks kitchens.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I bought it. I think like last year.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
World famous when my hacks didn't work, remember that, and
then it didn't work.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Yeah, he didn't edit the videos or anything. It didn't work.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
I didn't edit it out or edit it out and
do it again so that it works, Eddie, right.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
You you legitimately said these usually work. I don't know
what I left it in there.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
That was early in my YouTube stardom days. I think
that was about fifteen years ago, So I didn't you.
I didn't understand that yet. So I bought edit not
at all I bought this like tripod with the ring
light on it and a little like lapel like microphone
thing that plugs into the foot because I had like
these thoughts that I would start doing cooking videos oh wow,

(07:20):
but I just ended up like it's just was like
too much work. I like, that's way too much work.
It's way too much work. So like it's just sitting
in our office. Oh god, it was like that expensive anyway,
it was like twenty bucks but ridiculous, but totally ridiculous,
of ridiculous, And I'd look at it and think how
much of a loser I am that I can't even
do it. So there's all these things. It's not that
bad boy.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Okay, so you finally got it, got use use uh?
And so you did you freeze the pickles?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Frozen pickles, frozen pickles before I took a nap, like
frozen pickles from like one to five, so a few hours. Yeah,
those maples were frozen hard okay, rock hard, okay, perfect.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
The way that they were supposed to be.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Yeah, perfect.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
And they said to cut them in a.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Lot of hard pickle jokes, but just keep it.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah yeah, And they said.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
You cut them in slices. It seems like it would
be hard to cut a frozen pickle.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Am I wrong cut it before?

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Oh ummy, Well in the instructions it's said to cut
it after.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Not that it matters.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
They were using like those little gerber ghirkins or whatever. Okay,
so those are easier thick ones. Okay, I can't help myself.
I can't help myself, halves.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Everyone, we can talk about pickles and sands.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
I put them in a pretty white dish when I
froze them.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
So that they were You're such a loser, pretty white dish.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Okay, with your boob top. I see what you're going for.
I see what you're going for. I'm so smart what
you're talking about. So Emily, when did you post this?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
I posted it at around six dish.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
I gotta tell you you've got a lot of traction on
this in that amount of time. Really, people are in
this like it's kind of crazy.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Oh my gosh, good for you.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
So you freeze the.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Pickles, yeah, in my sweet white dish.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Okay, yes, please stop bringing that up because nobody's going
to notice or care.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah, you stop it.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
You got your Kirkland, New Zealand brand Sauvion Blanc, which
is your go to Yes.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Twist top. We discussed this yesterday.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
She doesn't I like.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
To bring up the twist there's actually a fight going
on over my Instagram comments about the twist top.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Then it's like one person.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Said it and then somebody got angry at them, goes,
you're a moron. You don't know what you're talking about.
Like the fancy wides now are twist tops, and like
it's kind of got ugly to be honest about the
twist top.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Wow, you knew.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I don't know. I didn't know either.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
But you've put the pickles in the wine class.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I thought you went a little hard in the paint
on the pickles.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
Too many pickles, I thought, so pickle wine ratios off,
I thought so.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
But I don't know because it means she may like
it like that. I don't know. But you put about
five pickle cubes in your glass and then and you
only poured yourself two fingers. Poor.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah, okay, that's a proper. That's the way the pores
go at my house on a regular basis.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Only two fingers. There's no chance that's true. Obviously, there's
no chance that's true.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
I just really wanted to taste the pickles to make
this legit, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
But I feel like it has to be balanced.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Yeah, you're balanced.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
She does a whole like to the brim glass, yet
put in there.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
She could have done a halfer, like, yeah, that's what.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
I didn't want to waste that much wine.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
That's what they should. Probably that's hysterical. Probably, Okay, so
you pour the wine in.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Yeah, pour the wine and pour the wine in. No, no, no,
I don't pour the wine in and take a sip
right away. I pour the wine in, and I decide
that I need to let these things marinate for a
few minutes. Really sought because I just thought they're frozen
hard and like they won't start melting and giving off
their pickliness, Like I need to give it and we

(10:55):
need that.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, and I wasn't going to fill time for two
minutes and just talk.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
So I there's hard at it. I cut it hard.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
At it, okay, and did something really quick.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
You couldn't put some fun in there, like a clock
that's like going spinning around or something, you know, like
like Jamie would have done that. I'm just saying he's
really good.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
No, that's that's above my pain.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Okay, what did you do in the two minutes? Because
you said I went and did something?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
What did you do?

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I actually put away like four things in my closet.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
I really legitimate understand.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
She's always moving, always moving and groove it.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Did you find the rest of your shirt?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
When you say that, okay, yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Mean that's just the shirt. That was the shirt I was.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
You were just you were just running around the house
wearing a little tank top. I should wear that whatever, please,
I saw you that.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Do wonder why your son's friends want to come over?

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Mom's walk like that?

Speaker 5 (11:44):
Hello, I mean duh. The other day she's like, I
can't believe all the time once friends coming over, I
don't wonder why.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah, hey, just the workout top anyway about a workout top?

Speaker 5 (11:57):
So hey, a lots of arms, much arm going on there.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
So I let the marinate and then I come back
to the scene, and then it's time for the tasting.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
So I swish it around and I give it a taste.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
And when you.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Tasted it, at first, it's not that bad, but then
literally one or two seconds later, the pickleness, the garliciness,
the peppery nous, all those herbs and spices that are
and pickle juice and then it's a combo that with
the sweet fruity wine and it's just awfulul so bad review.
I had to throw the entire thing in my sink

(12:32):
because it was undrinkable.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Which was a very sad wine away.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Through the Yeah, drink it.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
That's you didn't filter it.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
I didn't filter thought about it, but I think that
the pickles permeated the wine.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
So much too much.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
It was too much.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
I let it very let too much.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
What do you think?

Speaker 6 (12:50):
Or maybe the fact you over pickled it did go
crazy A shot of wine.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
That's that's a lot.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
So I don't know, guys, So maybe this is my
new calling. Well maybe maybe I will be YouTube star subsord.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
I mean, if you continue to wear those shirts, you
probably will be, you know, like only fans drinking drinking
pickles doing things with pickles. I think that would make.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
Sense, but they probably have something that does.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Yeah, yeah, girl, yeah wow, I'm down.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Okay, all right, so you can see the video. It's
up on Emily's Instagram page on the show's Instagram page
if you want to go check it. Out but interesting, interesting,
thank you yeah. Start, start to finish,
