Speaker 1 (00:00):
San Diego. Welcome to the show. New New Day is here,
and what better way to start it than with.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I feel like the show is going to be great.
This show, I would like to introduce you to.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
The ringleader, Eddie. Here's the thing about Eddie you need
to know. Eddie doesn't have the ability to not be
ed the mother of this crew.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Guy, I'm kind of miss meek, like you can almost
talk me into anything.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I'm not a soultual butterfly, nor do I want to be.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
And Emily, I am sometimes very very selfish and sometimes
I'm actually very very given.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
Welcome to the show on San Diego's rock station Rock
one oh five three.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
But yesterday at the end of the show, we talked
about a new viral trend where people were putting frozen
pickles in save Blanc And obviously that sounds weird, right,
I mean, what the hell? Yeah, are pickles having a
(01:01):
moment right now?
Speaker 4 (01:02):
They kind of are on Instagram. Yeah, people are doing
lots of different things like pickle popsicles or pickle juice
martinis or.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Pickles are having a moment. Yeah, and it sounds like
it's frozen pickles.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, I mean, pickles are having a moment in all different. Okay,
but there is a lot of frozen pickles.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, so frozen pickle thing whatever. Emily her drink of
choice is blan.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
She wrong, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
I've never known somebody so specific.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Like I, oh yeah, don't get it. Twist this guy
New Zealand.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
That said she will drink anything. It's not like she
only drinks that.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
But if you got as a chardinay and like mom
is really wanting a glass of wine and it's in
a pinch, I'll take it.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, Mama, Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
It's not gonna be my favorite.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
If you have no alcohol in the house, but rubbing alcohol.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, if somebody abandons a glass of wine on a
bar she walks by, she'll drink it.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
It was that one of the more unfortunate moments that
we witnessed.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
You do we bring it out early in your show.
D Yeah, I would say so yeah, Now you wouldn't
have done that, like you would have done it, but
you would have made sure you were I don't know
what I was thinking.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I wouldn't do that now, I don't believe, but that's
I feel like maybe I've.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
No Mama wanted what Mama wanted yes, So.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I don't even remember. You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh I remember? You want to remind you.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I don't, Okay, I don't.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
So Emily likes that. And so we heard about this
viral trend and we're like, well, okay, you gotta try it.
I mean maybe the pickles you do. And you're very
specific about your pickles as well.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
Very specific which are which are the claws and the ones.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
That can get in refrigerated exception, pickles the best until
those Grillo pickles came out, those gorillas. Have you seen
those R I L R O s?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
There?
Speaker 6 (03:00):
Like all the all the rage right now?
Speaker 1 (03:03):
And those.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
They have little pickles, mostly discs, but their spears too,
But those are good.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Those need to be refrigerated too. It's delicious.
Speaker 7 (03:13):
Oh you're a refrigerated pickle Galt, Yes.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
And why is that they just taste better?
Speaker 6 (03:17):
I think so. I think they taste fresher. I think
they're just better.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
But also, did we put it to the test and
make you do a taste test?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I think I did it right, I think you did.
I didn't think I got it.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I think you did. Okay, So you know your wine,
you know your pickles because two things that you're very
well versed in.
Speaker 7 (03:34):
This is made for you.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Well, so yeah, we were like, well, Emily, you gotta
try this and like, tell us you know, this may
change your world. Like people say they like it. Yeah,
I don't know why, but.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Well because I mean, I don't know about you guys,
but I hear that and it sounds gross. But you
but so many TikTok and Instagram videos later, you start going, well,
maybe I'm the weird one.
Speaker 7 (03:56):
Maybe I'm the one who doesn't get it.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
You say, it's supposed to give like a dirty martini vibe.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yes, yes, Like how the first person, the first person
to put olives in a martini did?
Speaker 7 (04:12):
Did you know a radio show.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Sit around martini.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Like they're crazy? That's weird? Who would do that? And
now everybody does it?
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yeah, but that doesn't that's not his offensive because vodka
doesn't have a sweet taste to it.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
It's just very flat. So putting that in there isn't.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Flat white like the wine that I drink is sweet
like flowetsh and like Chris like with apple notes.
Speaker 8 (04:36):
So if they were saying this apple vodka wine, she
doesn't know anything about anything but that she knows everything
about when you go.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
To like a winery. Are you just like feeling it
in your element?
Speaker 4 (04:53):
I only know about the the most I know.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
Like the Chardonnays are oakier and buddy r But.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Do you like red?
Speaker 6 (05:00):
I do like a red?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
So when you when you sip a red, can you
tell like the different notes?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I can pick kind up.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
It's never more impressed.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah, I drink. I got no clue it's wine.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
It's either have very advanced palate, so I could tell.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
You you would be fun to go white taste.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
I never have.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Let's do together.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
I don't really drink wine, but what I do I
do feel sassy.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I feel like he would skip through the vineyard.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
I'm sure why I would do, Eddie. Oh, that would
be fun.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
The time you're on your third vineyard or whatever. This guy,
this guy's a silly.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Boy, throws spit it out in like other people's mouths.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Okay instead of the bucket.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Come on, I'm in when do we go?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Let's do?
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Let's go down anyway. So last night we said, all right, Emily,
whatever your go to time when you usually have your
first glasses. Yeah, and we thought that would be like
ten oh, one, that's not But you said, no, it's
gonna be somewhere around four or five ish.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, right, yeah, it's in the five realm.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Now, you guys know that sometimes with certain things, I
tend to spin out a little bit about them and
overthink them.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
And it's just it's a simple thing.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
But likeever, I whenever I film myself, it's like such
a task because I I film it a zillion times
or I want to film at a zillion times. Setting
it up is weird. Yet I get nervous, like the lighting,
like I feel angle.
Speaker 6 (06:35):
I don't know, so I always just I always get
nervous about it.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
So did that happen last night?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
So that happened a little bit.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
This was pre wine, so you couldn't even relax.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Free wine MoMA didn't have any you know, relaxation juice
going and medicine mommys. A good thing was my son
wasn't there to like add to the tension and be
like making noise in the background.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
So that was a bonus. Okay, that was a bonus.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
So I set up my little tripod in the kitchen
pod po little like iPhone tripod with like a ring
light on it.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
When you used to film those sweet YouTube cooking videos.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Oh yeah, no, no, it's not the hacks kitchens. I
bought it.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
I think like last year world famous when my hacks
didn't work, remember that.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Boom and then it didn't work.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, I didn't edit the videos or anything. It didn't work.
I didn't edit it out.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
Or or edit it out and do it again so
that it works.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Yeah, Eddie's right, you you legituately said these usually work.
I don't know what you left it in there.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
That was early in my YouTube stardom days. I think
that was about fifteen years ago, so I didn't I
didn't understand that yet. So I bought edit not at all.
I bought this like tripod with the ring light on
it and a little like lapel like microphone thing that
plugs into the boat. Because I had like these thoughts
(07:57):
that I would start doing cooking videos. Wow, but it
just ended up like it's was like too much work.
I like, that's way too much work. It's way too
much work. So like it's just been.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Sitting in our office.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Oh god, it was like that expensive anyway, it was
like twenty but ridiculous, but totally ridiculous, of ridiculous and I'd.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Look at it and think how much of a loser
I am that I can't even do it. So there's
all these things. No, it's not that bad boy.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Okay, So you finally got it, got use use uh?
And so you did? You freeze the pickles?
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Frozen pickles, frozen pickles before I took a nap, like
frozen pickles from like one to five, so.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
A few hours.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Yeah, those were frozen hard okay, rock hard, Okay, perfect
the way that they were supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Perfect.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
And they said to cut them in a.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Lot of hard pickle jokes, but just keep them.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah yeah. And they said you cut them in slices.
It seems like it would be hard to cut a
frozen pickle.
Speaker 7 (08:46):
Am I wrong?
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Cut it before? Oh well, in.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
The instructions it's said to cut it after. Not that
it matters.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
They were using like those little g girkins or whatever. Yeah, yeah, okay,
so those are easier thick ones that em.
Speaker 7 (09:03):
Like Okay, I can't help myself.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I can't help myself, halves.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
Everyone, we can talk about pickles and sandals.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
I can't.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
I put them in a pretty white dish when I
froze them.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
So that they were, you're such a.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Loser, pretty white dish.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
At okay with your boob top. I see what you're
going for. I see what you're going for. I'm so
smart what.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
You're talking about?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
So Emily, When did you post this?
Speaker 6 (09:32):
I posted it at around sixsh.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
I gotta tell you, you've got a lot of traction
on this. In that amount of time. People are into this,
like it's kind of crazy.
Speaker 7 (09:42):
Oh my gosh, good for you.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
So you freeze the pickle.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah, in my sweet white dish.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Okay, Yes, please stop bringing that up because nobody's going
to notice it or care. Yeah, you stop it. You
got your Kirkland New Zealand brand, Save Blanc, which is
your go to.
Speaker 7 (09:58):
Yes, twist we discussed this yesterday.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
She doesn't I like to bring up the twist.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
There's actually a fight going on my Instagram comments about
the twist top.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Then it's like one person.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Said it and then somebody got angry at them, goes,
you're a moron. You don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Like the fancy wides now are twist tops, and like
it's kind of got ugly to be honest.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
About the twist top. Wow, you knew I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I didn't know either, But you've put the pickles in
the wine class.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
I thought you went a little hard in the paint
on the pickles.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Too many pickles, I thought.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
So pickle wine ratios off, Well.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
I thought so. But I don't know, because it means
she may like it like that. I don't know. But
you put about five pickle cubes in your glass, and
then you only poured yourself the two fingers poor.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Yeah, okay, that's a proper. That's the way the pores
go at my house on a regular basis.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Only two fingers. There's no chance that's true.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Obviously, there's no chance that's true.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I just really wanted to taste the pickles to make
this legit, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
But I feel like it has to be balanced.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Yeah, you're balanced. She does a whole like to the
brim glass.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah, you got to put in there.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
She could have done a halfer like.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yeah, that's what I.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Didn't want to waste so much wine.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
That's what they should. Probably that's hysterical. Probably, Okay, So
you pour the wine in, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Pour the wine and pour the wine in. No, no, no,
I don't pour the wine in and take a sip
right away. I pour the wine in, and I decide
that I need to let these things marinate for a
few minutes.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Oh really, so I thought, because.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
I just thought they're frozen hard and like they won't
start melting and giving off their pickliness, like I need.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
To give it and we need that.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
Yeah, and I wasn't gonna fill time for two minutes
and just talk.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
So hard at it. I cut it hard at.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
It, okay, and did something really quick.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
You couldn't put some fun in there, like a clock
that's like going spinning around or something, you know, like
like Jamie would have done that. I'm just saying, he's
really good.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
No, that's above my pap. Okay, what did you do
in the two minutes? Because you said I went and
did something? What did you do?
Speaker 6 (11:59):
I actually put away like or things in my closet.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
I really legitimate understand.
Speaker 7 (12:03):
She's always moving, always moving and groove it.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Did you find the rest of your shirt?
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
When you say that, okay, yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Mean that's just the shirt. That was the shirt.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
I was just you were just running around the house
wearing a little tank top.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Should wear that around that?
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Please?
Speaker 2 (12:20):
I saw you that I wonder why your son's friends
want to come.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Over them Hello, duh.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
The other day she's like, I can't believe all the
time once friends coming over, I don't wonder why.
Speaker 6 (12:32):
Yeah, hey, it's just the workout top anyway.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
About workout top.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Lots of arms, so much arm going on there.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
So I let him marinate, okay, and then I come
back to the scene and then it's.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Time for the tasting.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
So I swish it around the give it a taste,
and when he tastes it, at first it's not that bad,
but then literally one or two seconds later, the pickleness,
the garliciness, the pepperiness, all those herbs and spices that
are and pickle juice, and then it's a combo that
with the sweet fruity wine and it's just awful.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
So bad review.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
I had to throw the entire thing in my sink
because it was undrinkable, which was.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
A very sad wine away through the Yeah, drink it.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
That's you didn't filter it.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
I didn't filter thought about it, but I think that
the pickles permeated the wine.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
So much too much.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
It was too much. I let it vert too much.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
That the sadist part of this one d percent what do.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
You think or maybe the fact you over pickled it.
You did go crazy to a shot of wine. That's
that's a lot.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
So I don't know, guys, maybe this is my new calling.
Oh maybe maybe I will be a YouTube star insta.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I mean you continued to wear those shirts. You probably
will you know, like only fans drinking drink and pickles
doing things with pickles.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
I think that would make sense, but they probably have
something that does.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yeah, yeah, girl, yeah, yeah wow, I'm down.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Okay, all right, So you can see the video. It's
up on Emily's Instagram page on the show's Instagram page
if you want to go check it out. But interesting, interesting,
thank you? Yeah, start start to finish. Speaking of drinks,
how many drinks should you have a day? Is that
a thing? Well? Is there a good number? Well, we're
(14:23):
gonna see what a team of scientists say on how
many drinks you should have a day? Coming up next
on the show at rock to five three. So we're
just talking about Emily's yummy save blanc with her pickles
in it. So gross, But that's that's sort of your routine,
right Emily, where you cook dinner and you like to
(14:45):
have a little glass Vno, yes, while you're cooking.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
Yes, it's usually nine times out of ten, it's now
eight times out of ten it's hino. And then the
like the rest of you, like a white claw it
maybe or something like that.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Oh, it didn't realize that, mixing it up a little bit,
a little bit, and then sometimes you'll you'll hit up
your your spot and you'll go to downtown the Mesa
and grab grab a drink, grab a drink and then drink,
come back home and then do your business there too.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Correct, that will happen.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Okay, okay. On an average day, would you say a
glass of wine or several glasses of wine?
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Well, it can go from it can go from one,
and then it.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
It could go it could.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Go drink alcohol probably too much. Facts.
Speaker 7 (15:30):
Normally people start with one.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Else, but there are days where it ends up being one.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
There our days, the full day one where.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Yeah we'll just have one one good size, classes bad days,
good size. And then there are days when yeah, I'll
get after a little bit, maybe I'll have you know,
three glasses of wine.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Four glasses.
Speaker 6 (15:47):
Hello, that's usually on the weekend or something.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Oh my, but you know, so maybe two would be
two or three.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Would be an average.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Two or three four. I don't know, okay, well, yeah,
I don't know what a good amount is or an
okay amount is to have on a daily basis. But
apparently there was a group of scientists. They got together
and tried to figure out, well, all right, what is
a good amount of alcohol to have a day like drink?
Speaker 3 (16:17):
I mean, we're doing this.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
I mean, isn't just just no alcohol is the best
for you?
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Well, I mean I think obviously, but if you're gonna drink,
what what is a decent amount?
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Yeah? And and Eddie's right, the information is so confusing
out there, and you know, you'll see, oh, no amount
of alcohol, and then you'll see, well, red wine's good
for the hard and then you know, and then the
and you know, who's ever in the White House there?
Like Health Administration always puts out their guidelines.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Right now, it's Trump and I've at last I saw
triple H from we was leading the way nice on
the health of the k.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Doesn't triple H drink it and then spit it in
the air? Oh it is.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
I always thought it interesting all the steroids he did
are behind the scenes.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
That those don't count his heart didn't explode. His heart did.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
That's a bad thing.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
He does have a pacemaker.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Now yeah, okay, okay, So previous administrations have always kind
of put a number on it like this much.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
For men as much Jane say, he's in politics.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Now, you're right, he's a mayor and small town.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
No, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
In Knoxville, yeahs mayor.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
What the hell?
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Yeah yeah, no a town, yeah, not the state.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Well, with the Trump administration, their health crew put out
their recommendations.
Speaker 7 (17:43):
It was pretty vague.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
It says Americans should consume less alcohol for better health.
So whereas other people have put a number on it,
they're just saying so, I mean, yeah, but if you're
starting at twenty versus starting at.
Speaker 7 (17:58):
Three, that's gonna look different for everybody.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
So a group of scientists internationally, like from all over
different countries all got together and said, let's look at
all the research and let's actually put out a number.
And it turns out, according to their new research just
published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs,
they say no more than one drink per day. Remember
(18:27):
the starting starting, So we started on we started, and
then they let you know your risks which are scary.
So they say people who consume more than seven drinks
a week, so that's one a day, have a greater
(18:49):
than one in a thousand risk of dying from an
alcohol related disease or injury. If you go up to
eight drinks a week, that goes to one and a
hundred risks. And if you're at fourteen drinks a week,
which is actually only two drinks a day Friday night,
(19:10):
that climbs to a one in twenty five risk of
dying from an alcohol related disease or injury.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
So that could be like like driving too right.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Yeah, so that could be anything from cirrhosis to cancer
to falling to getting at a car accident.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
And all of it, all of it.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yeah, okay, horrible.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
So one a day, Max, say, we.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
I mean I've known this, I've known this.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Oh you know you know that's okay? Yes?
Speaker 2 (19:45):
And does it very bad for you? Doesn't doesn't get
in there?
Speaker 3 (19:48):
Not really okay, not quite okay, that's why good enough,
good trying to do better about it?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
How old are you trying?
Speaker 4 (19:57):
I don't cut down really, you guys are at my house.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
But yeah, okay, a little bit trying.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
To good for you, Thank you huge. We have heard
of kids ruining expensive things and then the parents are
on the hook for it. Right, it's never good like
a nice museum or something like that. And well, one
family is making news after what their kid did and
it's a very expensive mistake. We're gonna see what this
(20:24):
kid did when we get back on the show at
Rocking to five three. So so when your kid starts
to get mobile and starts running around and doing stuff,
it's awesome, but it's also a whole different level of
like having to stay on it.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
I got some things I'm already like because he's seven
months old, So I got some things that like the
TVs and my you're really worried about that are well,
one of them is my pride and joy, the big one,
and then I have a smaller one underneath it. So
I'm going to put a baby gait around it. Now,
when I'm in there, I'm gonna be on top of it.
But when I'm not in there, there will be a
baby gate around that, because I'll kill.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Them kill what age? Do you go, Okay, no more
baby gate?
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Do you think when he's I don't know, I mean
I mean understand, like you can't what he understands. Don't
touch it? No touch, no touch, yes, no touch.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
When we went to we went to lunch yesterday, the
four of us as a show, and I pointed as
we were walking out to thor, I pointed out this
mess that this kid left under the high chair and
the kid threw the phone down, and there's there's creamer
creamer packets everywhere, and there's scraps all over the floor.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
And I went, look at that, my kid. Man, that's
what you have to look for. But I'm not gonna
let it get to that. Like, I know, you don't
believe me. My kids, my kidsam.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
Packets are ridiculous, but there's gotta be like they get food.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
All over the so you have these like little disposable
place matt things too, and so luckily my kids aren't
throwing food or anything like that. It gets messy, but
then you kind of wrap everything up in this placement
thing and.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Then also like I'm going to clean it immediately, like
I'm not. I know you don't believe me do this,
but like I'm going to clean it. I just I'm
not that guy, Like I'm just at home. I don't
do that.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
Yeah, I clean it immediately, but it was just I
thought it was funny like that happens.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah, and like like I don't know if you have
any like autograph things, like like say you have an
say you have an autograph baseball up on like some
sort of counter, and then he starts pulling himself up
and then you walk in the room and that autograph
baseball is in his mouth.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
You know what class case I've actually never seen.
Speaker 7 (22:44):
The sandlot, the beast is the one.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
I'm going to. The door to my man cave is
is actually like to those barn sliding doors. We're gonna
put like a baby gate. You can't just push it in.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, they'll surprise you with my wife, she leaves stuff everywhere,
so oh, like he's going to eat one of her
AirPods probably that. Yeah, So you know the other thing
you have to kind of be aware of is if
you go over to somebody's house or if you you know,
I doubt you're ever going to take you to a
(23:20):
museum or anything like that, but if you did, you know,
kids get in there all kinds of stuff and you go,
oh my god, you know you're over at somebody's house
and they have an expensive vase. You go over to
Sky's house, you know, she has something from the Mean
Dynasty and painting. Your kids run around. They accidentally knock
over the pedestal that the vase is on, and then
(23:40):
that thing crashes, and now you owe Sky, you know,
a million dollars job.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
You have like a ten thousand dollars painting.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah, she's an art collector.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
There is a painting that was handed down to us
that yeah, is also.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
One the one you bought in Hawaii.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Oh no, there's a painting that was handed down to you.
It's worth ten thousand dollars.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
It's worth quite ten thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
But you had it appraised.
Speaker 7 (24:06):
They had it appraised before.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Yeah, they got it. It was handed down to them,
and then they handed it down to us.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Who do Who the hell do you think you are?
Speaker 7 (24:15):
I know, my husband's family.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, very very crazy.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
And the only reason we got it out of anyone
else is because I guess the artist has like connections
to Laya.
Speaker 7 (24:27):
So they thought that we should have it because because we.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Have violent it's totally a whale.
Speaker 7 (24:37):
That would be great, That would be original.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
It's really cool.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, so you gotta be careful about all that stuff.
You always gotta have eyes on those kids. But even
if things happen, you know, you can't always be watching them.
Things will happen. Well, one family is really regretting not
keeping their eyes on their three year old. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
I guess a little gal Wich is having a little
arts and crafts stay in the living room and she
has those little kid like dull scissors.
Speaker 7 (25:05):
I don't even know if she has scissors or if
she's just using her.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Hands, but basically her project is is she is going
to have a confetti party. So she is having all
this construction paper and just random printer paper and she's
ripping it all up into tidy pieces because we're going
to have a confetti such.
Speaker 7 (25:24):
A mess.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Year.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah. So Dad walks out of the room for a
minute and comes back and sees that the confetti pile
has grown, and the confetti pile is dominated by a
greenish color paper. And that's when he looks over to
the counter where he had left a stack of a
(25:52):
hundred dollar bills totaling just under two thousand dollars money
and realizes that his daughter saw it, thought it was
paper for her confetti party. Now, I guess they're a
Nigerian family and they have these customary celebrations where you
(26:17):
gift cash to like the family or whatever. So the
playan was anyway to have these one hundred dollars bills
like twenty one hundred dollar bills or whatever?
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Was he really going to the strip club?
Speaker 1 (26:32):
And excuse?
Speaker 2 (26:34):
So we had to say that to his wife. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
I think the whole family was going to this party together. No,
not to the strip club, to this Nigerian party.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Yeah, and the prince was there too. This is completely
the adult's fault. You don't leave two thousand dollars anywhere
near a spot where your kid could get it. I
mean that's on you. And I also believe my wife
would do this and I would kill her. Oh you
kill it?
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Wait? Who did you kill your wife? Or would you
kill the kid? Well? Both? Is everybody dying?
Speaker 2 (27:02):
I think everyone's going down. I think everyone's going down too.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Grand And yeah, I let's say, you know, you had
to pay a worker in cash and you got two grand,
you pulled it out and your wife left it on
the counter and walkie talkie decides confetti party.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Why would he do that?
Speaker 1 (27:21):
If you're having a confetti party, that's that's what you make.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
He doesn't, he's not doing a piece side.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
I don't know. And so you come back and you
go to get the cash, no cash, and you see
confetti party, and honestly, what what would you do?
Speaker 2 (27:37):
I would be two grand and be a Netflix. Who
gets it first? Be Netflix? It depends on who's in
my vicinity. It depends on who is my facinity. I
I I probably my wife. I'd be like, what happened?
I'd be so confused and it would be surreal. I'd
be like, it's fake. There's no way, Like they're doing
(27:58):
a biding a bit.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
It's like monopoly money.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Yeah, I don't know. It's bad. It's bad her my
wife's this is a true story. My wife's mom was
supposed to deposit a couple grand into the bank from
her husband and lost it. Just lost it where, no
clue where it was, completely lost it. So this has
happened to my family before, and my wife's just like
(28:22):
her mom expect yes, so I expect this. At some
point you should being cuffs. Yeah, sorry, dad.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Got hot, but said he tried to keep us cool
because it's a three year old and he knows they
don't know better, and they don't know the concept of
money at this point, and blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
If they were older, clearly different stories.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
But dad's fault. What are you leaving it an hot
you can get it.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
So, just like thor, he turns to the smartest person
he knows, chat GPT and ask them is there anything
I could do with this money?
Speaker 7 (28:57):
And he found out that if.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
The serial number is still intact, and like forty nine
percent of the bill is still intact as well, they
will exchange out your money. So they took all the
confetti money and video of their daughter sitting there with
the confetti money that they had taken before they left
the house and brought it to the bank and the
(29:20):
bank was cool enough and exchanged pretty much all the
back and they.
Speaker 7 (29:26):
Cut their money.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Don't have to murder anybody.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah, it would have been too late. He would have
already got it.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Yeah, this guy's stay calm. Yeah, that's the difference. There
you go. Emily's man, Robert has started doing something that
Emily can't understand. She finds it very wild. We're gonna
see what this guy has been doing that she does
not like. Coming up next on the show A Rock
on to five to three huge, So our girl Emily here.
(29:55):
She can get annoyed by things pretty quickly. You know,
you think thor is bad Emily. Emily will let you
know right away if something's bothering her. She she's got
a quick trigger, I really do. She'll explode about something
and once it's done, she kind of comes back down
to earth and you go, hey, are you really that mad?
Speaker 4 (30:16):
No, okay, and it genuinely doesn't necessarily bother me that
much anymore.
Speaker 6 (30:19):
But something stick with me, you know obviously.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
But you you like, let it go initially it all
comes out and then it's done. Yeah, but you got
to get it.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Out, have to get it out. Yeah, quick to react,
oh big time.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
It's like crazy. There'll be things like little tiny things
and she'll flip out and I'll look at her and
I go, really.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Like the other day, somebody rescheduled an appointment for fifteen
minutes later, and you would have thought it was an
appointment with the government, and they said, hey, it's going
to be a month from now. Well, because we didn't
know happen.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Just how long it was being pushed back. So we're like, yeah,
that stucks, that's rude. And then one of us asks, wait,
like how long was it pushed.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Ran fifteen minutes?
Speaker 3 (30:59):
We're like fifteen, it's very inconvenient. It's only fifteenth, very
insulted her mother.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Yeah, and then and yeah, it was crazy, and I
did react to overact person. And then and then you
came back down and kind of and then told them not.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
To and then I kind of apologized and saidn't worry
about it. Yeah, but I already and then.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
They were like I'll rush, and you went, well, drive safe,
like you're doing them a favor.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
It's so weird. It's so weird. But that's Emily, it is.
That's true. I'm going to take this, I think with
a grain of salt that Emily is getting annoyed with
something new that her man Robert is doing.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Now, this hasn't this isn't a reaction like that was
a quick one. This has been a slow and steady,
a slow bird.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Okay, almost two months now, your man Robert does some
wacky stuff, you know, like like that time he was
putting dishes in a bucket and a home depot bucket
in your kitchen. Yes, that's one of the crazier things
I've ever heard of human. Instead of just cleaning that, yeah,
he just would put him in a bucket, which is insane.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
But yes, insane, Yes, so is it on that level.
It's not on that level. That's like the different side
of Robert. This is like, it's this is wacky and weird.
But this isn't like harming anybody bucket, that's just psychoticsycho's odd.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
So this is the fun wacky Robert, like where everybody
will be dancing normal on a dance floor and all
of a sudden he'll bust out in some sort of
Irish Russian.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
He crouched down, kicks his leg out, crouches down, sticks
his arms totally like that is exactly where he got
it from.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
I never thought about it. Just blew my mind. You
kind of likely think about it. Yeah, it's it's kind
of along those lines.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
Okay, so Robert maybe kind of You know what, it's
been about a little over since before the start of
the year, he's really started.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
To go on his own he hold on a minute,
stupid phrase.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Hold on a minute. We've been talking about this, Yeah,
six months on this show, I'm on the health journey
and Thor went back to the gym, and Sky has
a forced health journey and you've been eating better and
all that stuff. Kind of uh, and you've never once
mentioned that that Robert's Sunday do you want a health
journey too?
Speaker 4 (33:23):
I think that we have mentioned it before as a whole,
because you guys always talk about how good he's.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Been looking lately.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
We've mentioned that he's been.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Working brick house.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
I've just never used the words, Okay, we don't a
brick house. I just I've never used the words in reference.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
To its up, that's messed up.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
But he's definitely like not eating all, making lots of changes.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Actually, yeah, say it on the radio, scream it and
then eat a bagel.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Yeah, screaming as she's crushing a croissant. Yeah, I don't
need cars. That's what you do.
Speaker 6 (33:56):
Once in a while. But he's not drinking, so that's happening.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
So health really, so proud health journey.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
I'm so proud of Wow.
Speaker 6 (34:07):
I'm proud of him too.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Emily doesn't like when people better themselves, so like like
she doesn't like its true. It is true, and then
if you do have something bad happen to you in
your life, maybe somebody dies. She loves until you get
fired or you get fired, or maybe you slip up
a little bit. I've been sober a long time and
I have a drink and she goes, oh, smiles, kind
(34:32):
of smiles, kind of smiles like, oh, I'm so sad
for you, Emily. And they think I'd be happy if
you relapsed.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
I do. You're terrible.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
I ruined my life and my family. And Emily is like, oh, smiles, Yeah,
I reckon.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
You know.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Eddie's looking at me with his mouth open, like these
are facts that he is saying, I would not be
happy somebody and your guys' family died or if thor.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Really like this guy's going through a health stuff right now.
Emily wants them to find something. Like she her fingers
across and she's playing She's praying they find something, not
something worse because guy is gonna die, but like something's
going to alter her life a little bit, ruin it.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Yeah, okay, like like like sky has it too good
right now?
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Yes, she hasn't too good. They wanted to find a
little bit of Congestie Hart just a touch of congestive Hart.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Guy gets busted for insider trading. Yeah. Yeah, she's like.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Less health, more jail. Yeah, would love that. I don't.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
She hates my health journey. She hates that I've improved myself.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I hate it.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
I just hate the way you kind of like like
you rub.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
It your mentor over here.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
She wants to find out that Eddie has like a
little pancreatitis and that's why he's losing all this weight.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
That's why, Yeah, that's why he's It's just a touch
of I'm right here.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Emily will be like that explains, But I hope you're okay,
you know what I mean. True, I'm actually a.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Very capassionate person.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
I don't want Eddie to have a touch of faker titus,
not a ton of it.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
What do you what bad things do you wish upon
Robert's where's the list? Begin man?
Speaker 2 (36:13):
No, this is true.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
It's just I don't like what people are over the
top about it, you know, like like he started doing
this thing recently.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
This isn't what I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
But this is kind of along the lines of like
when I'll call him on my way home from work,
because we usually talk when I'm on my way home
from work, and I'll go, how's your morning going, And
instead of just being like it's good or it's great.
Speaker 6 (36:36):
He'll go it's awesome, and I'll go it's going awesome.
I'm like, really, what it's great?
Speaker 2 (36:44):
You know, he's being a positive and she's annoyed by it.
That okay, he's trying to Maybe he's just trying to
do positive affirmations.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
That's awesome, Hey, Sky, sitting next to you is all
about you know, vision boards, you know, putting things in
the universe. And so if he believes he's having an
awesome day, why can't he have that?
Speaker 2 (37:07):
He says, I have an awesome job, an awesome son,
and you don't.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Know, I'm kidding.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
It's just too much. It's just too much.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Nobody's not happy, Like give me a give me a break,
all right. So I've noticed something though, that he's been
doing lately, and it's something that he used to do,
like once a year in a photo when we're in
say like Hawaii, all right, for somewhere like Hawaii, if
(37:41):
we went on a hike and there's like a tropical waterfall,
like that's what that rarely happens.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
Obviously you guys know me.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
But like the once in a while time where we'll
be taking let's say a family photo. We went to
Hawaii last year, yea, and guy throws up the shaka.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
I'm loose.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
When I came back from Hawaii and I was doing it,
we had to shut that down real and I was,
and then I was told about stock.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
You're not on the island anymore.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
When you're on the island.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
When you're on the island, Yeah, when you're on the island,
you could pass bro mainland mainland.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
You're an idiot.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
You can't.
Speaker 4 (38:24):
Well that's what you think, because all of a sudden,
I notice that Robert starts dropping the shaka.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Like on the rag like like I'll.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Go like thanks for thanks for taking the trash out,
and he'll go look to me and he'll.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Go he'll do the chaka like like no problem.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
Like no problem, like no problem, or like like when
you respond to somebody, like at a restaurant, we're sitting
there and he's ordering and they bring him his food,
no shaka, no like like as a like good vibes, Bro,
like thanks a lot, like that's at thanks for the
solid Like what's you're doing in that favor, like keeps
dropping it left and right. The last time he was
in Hawaii early last year, and it's all like it's
(39:08):
fresh like it was when you were doing it, and
I it just it goes hand in hand with this
new positive attitude, I think.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
But the shot is just too much.
Speaker 6 (39:16):
It looks ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Listen, things happen when you go on health journeys, Emily.
It changes your perspective on life. It makes you see
things differently. I feel like I've had a better attitude.
Oh really, more positive thinking. I feel great. I mean,
what's wrong with that? Thanks Pal?
Speaker 6 (39:38):
You do look great Eddie.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
But the shot don't don't. I'll lose it. I'll lose
my ass.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
I had to have a sit down with him. I go,
we got to have a conversation here about this. And
then I threw it up and I go, what is this?
Speaker 2 (39:56):
What is this?
Speaker 4 (39:57):
Why I do I have a big Why are you
doing it all the time? What's going on?
Speaker 6 (40:03):
And he goes, oh, he goes, I'm doing it all
the time.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
He's playing dumb. He doesn't even know that he's doing it.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
So the scot you're telling me, this guy is so
high on my positivity. His his body just automatically shakas,
like that's what's happening.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
He probably will tank tops all that would be cool.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
You're telling where's tank tops all the time.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
He's turning it into Paul Rudd's character from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
He's gonna start doing surf lessons.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
I love this guy really.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
I love him too to give.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
You Hawaiian nicknames you are named. I love this, I
love I.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
Don't you go to Hawaii? That's fine.
Speaker 6 (40:47):
Robert could be that guy. Come on, Shakas.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
So we've started doing were I catch him doing it
and he'll like kind of slap his hand because he's
trying to.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Stop shutting down the shaka. Shut come on, So.
Speaker 6 (40:59):
If anybody's around town, see him throw it up.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Okay, shot say shaker, yes the shaka.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
Oh yeah, I get it.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Girls, all right.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
The Padres stars have been letting them down. We though
this nobody is hitting, so why not let the young
guys play and try and carry the team. Now we're
gonna see how the young guys stepped up yesterday next
to sports start, Well, if our stars aren't going to perform,
(41:30):
then maybe the young guys can help the Padres win,
you know what I mean, That's kind of what happened
yesterday when the recent call ups kind of saved the day.
Now the Padres started this series against the Reds last night.
Freddie Fermean hit a home run for the third straight game,
which is kind of crazy because he has been terrible, yeah,
(41:53):
all season long, and then all of a sudden, now
he's found the power.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
It's like he man, man, I found the power. Okay,
So that was in third and puts the Padres on
the board. The Reds then came back took a two
to one lead in the sixth, and things were again
looking kind of bleak, and you're like, oh, here we go,
here we go. We're not scoring any runs and blah
blah blah blah blah. But then the team religned on
(42:18):
Samad Taylor, who has been making a bunch of plays
in the outfield, which has kind of been fun. Yeah,
he's been making incredible catches, throwing runners out. I mean,
you know, kids looking good in the outfield. But then
he added a nice little bunt single that scored a
run in the seventh, and then a two run RBI
in the eighth to help the Padres to a six
to two win. So that was good. Oh yeah. Padres
(42:40):
actually laid down three straight months in the seventh and
the Reds couldn't field any of them.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
It was wild.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
They were like bobblingbelievable.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
But I mean, hey, that worked, so all right. You know.
The other young outfielder, Jase Bowen, went two for three,
was on base three times, and he stole a couple
of bases too.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Yeah, so there you go, fat you.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
Know, Nanny oh for four, Toddy oh for four, Merrill
oh for four. I'm gonna get a I'm gonna get
a Sama Taylor Jee Taylor. Okay, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
At what point do you just assume this is what
they're gonna do this year?
Speaker 1 (43:17):
It may be. I don't know. I mean, you know,
it was crazy. We had the bases loaded and Jackson
Merrill hit like a arl. Yeah he's now below two hundred.
He hit a like check swing out to third to
force out, you know, at home, And I'm just like,
that's what we're doing. Like the bases are loaded. Man, man,
(43:38):
I don't know, so whatever, man, I'm a Sama Taylor
guy now, kid stuff? What a scene. It was at
Madison Square Garden last night for Game three of the
NBA Finals. President Trump in attendance, becoming the first sitting
president to attend an NBA Finals game. And boyle boy,
(44:00):
it was madhouse. Good because already was going to be crazy,
but now the President's going to be there, and so
the security was unbelievable. It was taking people hours to
get into the game. There were so many cops there.
It was just it was a madhouse, it was.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
And the electricity you could feel it through the TV.
I was so I mean, it was the first time
the Knicks played a game finals game at Homes ninety nine.
I remember that series. I was a lot younger, but
it was crazy. You felt it through the TV when
the Knicks, when the Knicks came out, and like every
New York legend was there. The Eli and Jeter were
sitting right next to each other, which obviously the Knicks
did that on purpose because they are the two biggest
(44:36):
stars in New York with titles. But uh, it was
a little premature, as that is about to tell you,
because you know, the game didn't go as well as
we thought it was going to go. Bad lock it
just there's a lot, man, there's a lot. There's a
lot there.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
But well, Viktor Wmanyama had a monster game, scored thirty two,
grabbed eight rebounds in these Spurs one fifteen to one
to eleven win over the Knicks to cut their lead
to two games to one.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
Yeah, I mean the free throw discrepancy was a little wild.
The Knicks had eight in the second half. The Spurs
had twenty fourth free throws. But the Knicks still had chances.
They just they just played such an outer rhythm. Jalen
Brunson was kind of just take had the ball the
whole game. Carol Anthony Town wasn't involved, and Cail Bridges
almost took two shots, like we're just.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
A bad game.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
So Game four is everything, because if you lose Game four,
that's a new series.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
You know, the loss snaps the next thirteen game win streak,
which is the second longest in NBA postseason history. So
they were on a wall and it doesn't mean it's over.
They were seeing it.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
The Game four is gonna be crazy. Hopefully everybody comes back.
I did get annoyed by certain people in the crowd
put like like DJ Khaled and Robert Kraft, Robert Kraft
is a Boston guy. Get the hell out of here. Yeah,
I hope, I hope Robert Kraft was staring at ELI
the whole time when with his two rings out, Get
the hell out of here. There was a massage parlor
(46:01):
down the street. You could have gone to.
Speaker 1 (46:02):
You lose theirs, That's actually true.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
And then DJ Kelly, that fat ass, he was there
on his cell phone the whole time, not even looking
at the game. Why did Fat Joe bring him?
Speaker 1 (46:13):
So?
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Who he came?
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Yeah, he was with Fat Joe buddies.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
Yeah he spent you know, however, four hundred thousand dollars
courtside to be on your phone, I mean.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
And then there was Listen, I get normal fans aren't
going on that game. But if normal fans aren't gonna go,
I want just New York Royalty there, Tracy Morgan's, the
Ben Stillers, the Eli's Justin Tuck was there? Old Nick
players were there that I'm okay, Well LT, I don't
know if LT was.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
LT was in the bathroom probably okay. I saw Adrienne
Brodie there, but the hell there is he?
Speaker 1 (46:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
I have no idea.
Speaker 7 (46:50):
How about your new love Timmy.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
Oh Timmy was there, of course, Yeah, I love Timmy
orange jumpsuit. Timmy and Spike were hugging the whole time.
But it was the garden was I give this first credit. Man,
that's a tough place to win. Down down to Oh
from Queens. Oh, there you go, bro, he's from Queen's respect.
I don't want him there. I don't want the pianists there.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Of the pianist, I've never seen him out a game before.
Speaker 3 (47:19):
Okay, just don't show him.
Speaker 2 (47:21):
They would, they would, they would.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
He can't either. Not crazy.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
I just felt like he just seems like such a
smart Okay, I'm sorry, but yeah, the crowd was wrong.
We'll see what happens. I mean, Game four is gonna
be crazy again. I hope everybody comes back. I mean, right,
but who knows.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
A judge has ruled that Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Soresby
can play this upcoming season, even after it was discovered
he made thousands of bets, including ones on his own team.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
I hate two things. I hate two things I hate
about sports Dreamer, yeah, Adrian Brody, and I hate when
guys say, well, he only bet on his own team.
It's the biggest lie in the world.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
Doesn't matter. It's a rule. First, you can't bet.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
You can't bet. I don't care if it's for your
own team or not. Second, that's like saying, yeah, I
drink alcoholically, but only on Saturdays and Sundays, Like you
don't you drink all the time. You don't just bet
on your team, you bet on everything. No. No, If
you can't stop betting because you're admitting your gambling addict,
how am I supposed to believe you only bet on
your team to win, Like, it's so stupid.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
And I mean it just it doesn't matter. The rule
is you can't do it. And he did it, like
Beyond did it. And because he's rich, he's white, he's privileged.
His lawyers found a judge who was going to rule
in his favor and allow this to happen. The NCAA
immediately find him filed an appeal. But it is a
crazy ruling. All the other commissioners in leagues are all
(48:56):
just like what are we doing? Like like you so
now it sets a precedent of like, okay, well did
we can do anything?
Speaker 2 (49:03):
Yeah, I'll just gamble and bet break anyo.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
I'll just follow an injunction and I'll be able to play.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
College football is so out of control, man, Hopefully this
puts up it's more of a spotlight on how they
need to fix things. It's pretty bad, hope, because it's bad.
I don't he'll eventually get drafted, but I wouldn't draft
him no risk. I know that he went to rehab,
but I highly doubt when there's no consequences like this,
I highly doubt he's never gonna bet again. Family addiction
(49:30):
is real.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
So like that's pretty insane. That's crazy scene. Really all right,
there you go. That is sports skirt for today. Uh,
we know that everything is more expensive these days. Well,
things that we used to think we're affordable are now
just too expensive. We're going to go over the things
that used to be affordable but now are kind of
a luxury when we get back on the show at
Rock with a five three Listen, this is not breaking news.
(49:56):
Everything is more expensive. It's tough man. Now, things that
you know, we used to be able to do and
get and buy it's kind of now too expensive to do,
which is lame. But this is the this is the
we're a lot we're in now and so it is
what it is. We all have to just either accept it,
suck it up, and pay it, or we're not doing
(50:16):
it anymore. So they actually came up with an entire
list of things that used to be affordable but now
they're like a luxury which is crazy.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Electricity, yeah, definitely, Yeah, one thing I could think of it.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
This was like affordable back in the day when I
was you guys know, I loved to staycation in town,
and so like that would be a good alternative as
something affordable to do with your family to go have fun.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
Well, you couldn't afford luxury vacation, so you would do staycation.
Speaker 4 (50:43):
Yeah, And like you could get a hotel for like
one fifty two hundred bucks, maybe a nice one for
like two fifty l And now like a nice one
anywhere on the Bay or wherever is like literally five
hundred dollars plus like plus more a night, plus the
resort fees, plus all the other taxes and everything else.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
Like you want to park your car there.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
So that's then we're looking out a two thousand dollars
plus vacation.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
Yeah, and like it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
You're like, what, Luckily you could just drive to the
beach in the fifteen minutes from your house.
Speaker 4 (51:12):
It doesn't hit the same don't hit the sky.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Will know this, will remember this. Back in the day,
we want to go see a show and I'm not
even talking about like a giant band, but it's just
a regular band and go to a concert. Oh yeah, okay.
You go to the warehouse Tower Records, and you stand
in line and whatever. You get your ticket and it
and it costs tops thirty bucks tops thirty bucks and
(51:36):
you're like all right, cool and I got good seats
for thirty bucks. Now, I mean.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
People go to shows big artists at a lot of
artists can't sell anymore. Like Post Malone, who's a big artist,
he might have to cancel his whole tour because he
can't sell these crazy So like artists are doing like
like jay Z is doing like three shows at Yankee
Stadium and like two other random shows, Like like that's
really it now, like these the spirit for like a
couple of couple of nights. Like they're not doing big
(52:03):
shows because they can't sell it. Unless you're like Taylor.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Sword a three hundred dollars ticket to go see somebody
in Constant's crazy. Man, it's it's gone out of control.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
My wife's going to see Alan Jackson do his last show.
I'm sorry, he's a country star apparently.
Speaker 1 (52:18):
I know the chatahoochie.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
And it's a crazy lineup. And uh, but those tickets
were like, uh, nine hundred dollars a ticket for ticket
a ticket. But it's his last ever show. It's like
when Aussie did his last ever show. But now because
I bought those pre sale a year ago, now those tickets,
the same tickets are twenty five hundred dollars a ticket.
I'm trying to convince her to sell it. Yeah, if
(52:42):
she won't do it, So she won't do it.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
You can't sell your Alan Jackson ticket.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
Yeah, that's what she said. Yeah, twenty ticket that's insane.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
But even like Eddie said, back in the day when
we were growing up, even if it was somebody's final tour,
a concert ticket was the same price no matter what.
You just have to stand in line or sleep.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
Even before then, though, like stub ten years ago, I
can go on stub Hub five years ago, I can
go on stub pretty covid, I can go on stub
Hub and buy tickets for I go to eat Giant
New York Giants game, and it would be decently priced.
Now it's double the price.
Speaker 4 (53:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (53:14):
Remember I remember going to forty nine er games growing
up and the ticket price was like fifty bucks. Fifty
bucks for an NFL game. Yeah, now that's parking.
Speaker 7 (53:26):
Yeah true, if you're lucky.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
Yeah, they're saying for the World Cup.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
It's like they've priced everybody for a World Cup. Yeah,
priced everybody. Yeah, that's why the government's even looking into it,
like what are we doing?
Speaker 2 (53:39):
Can we do this?
Speaker 1 (53:40):
They can do anything.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
Yeah, So you guys are definitely nailing these things that
used to be affordable that now feel like a luxury
concert tickets. Definitely mention not worrying about your utility bills.
So you would leave a light on in a room
and you'd be like, I wouldn't think twice about it.
You do that, but now it's like gonna cost you.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
I only do things in super off peak hours, so
like this morning, I left him. This morning, I left
the house and I turned the water the dishwasher on
because super off peak ends at six am and then
it starts again at ten, so I go from midnight
to six and then ten to two.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
He sits an alarm for one thirty am.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Just this laundry, yep, big time. I'll look it up,
but he does. He probably only do laundry on weekends.
Two o'clock. Okay, it's now a luxury to fill up
your car with gas. Some people just do like half
a tank because that's all they could afford.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Shack has a great thing about Shaq did a whole
thing about how it's cheaper to fill up your car
with half a tank than do a full tank. Wait,
and they were like, no, because then you're filling it
up more. But he would didn't agree, He wouldn't budge.
He wouldn't budge. Right, No, you're not right. Well you
start to fill up twice twice as much. Yeah, I
have no better. Chuck was right, he was. He was
(54:51):
arguing with you. That doesn't mean.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
Uh. They say that care. You used to get a
blood test for twenty bucks. Now to get a regular
blood test is like one hundred plus.
Speaker 2 (55:03):
For four years, yeah, two hundred uh huh.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
They say camping. You know you used to be able
to camp get a camp site for like fifteen bucks.
Now it's fifty dollars a night to night minimum.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (55:15):
Skiing and snowboarding about ten bucks for a daily pass.
Now you're looking at fifty dollars plus if.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
You want to do that.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
I think lift tickets are way more than that. Yeah,
they say starting at fifty, but all the way up
to like.
Speaker 7 (55:25):
Three hundred five.
Speaker 4 (55:27):
I think they are like two hundred depending on where
you go and what do I get?
Speaker 2 (55:30):
Just access to the mountain for the like, what's it?
Speaker 1 (55:32):
That's it doing sneakers.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Used to get a good pair for forty bucks. Now
you're looking at a minimum of like one twenty five
if you want a cool pair of shoes. Babysitting used
to be twenty I used to be like five dollars
an hour. Now we're looking at thirty bucks an hour
for a babysitter. They say the dentist. Now, even with insurance,
(55:56):
like before six month checkup, you wouldn't think twice. Now
it's literally a luxury to get your teeth checked. And finally,
just going a trip to Target for fun. Maybe you
had a little money in your paycheck, you just go
to Target for fun. They say that does not exist anymore,
even places like Target and Walmart. You feel stressed when
you get your final bows.
Speaker 7 (56:18):
You have to have them.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Sorry not just bummed me out. I'm sorry lull bringing around. Guys.
Don't worry because I'm gonna drop my latest top ten. Now,
this one is going to be wild. Literally, I am
going to give you my top ten animals I like
to see at our world famous San Diego Zoo, my
(56:45):
favorite animals coming out next to the show and walk
with a five.
Speaker 3 (56:48):
Three.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
All right, here we go. Are you guys already for
this one? Yes, this is gonna get pretty crazy. Little
wa old few. It is time for my latest top ten.
It's about to happen. Would you say?
Speaker 2 (57:08):
Would you say that you agree or pissed?
Speaker 1 (57:12):
You're gonna hear now.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
You're gonna hear now Eddie's top.
Speaker 3 (57:18):
Ten list.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
Top ten least. Oh yes, I try to tell you guys,
you know, my top tens could be anything. They can
be anything, really, can you know? I've I've run the
gamut on different things. You know. It could be musical artists,
it could be food items, it could be whatever. Yeah,
you know, but this one, I gotta even admit this
is the maybe strangest one I've ever done. Oh, but
(57:43):
there's a real method to my madness. Okay, Number one,
I know that our girl Emily is a big fan
of our world famous San Diego Zoo.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
Oh love it.
Speaker 1 (57:53):
But going since I was a little girl, then your
family built it.
Speaker 2 (57:56):
They built it.
Speaker 6 (57:57):
No, they built the original SeaWorld.
Speaker 4 (57:59):
But my aunt was the president, the president of the
zoom Man for many years and she still sits on
the board all this time.
Speaker 6 (58:05):
We have statues at the zoo that have my grandparents'.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
Names on plaques.
Speaker 4 (58:10):
But going there to zoo camp every year, you camp,
it's a big it's a big summer camp, and so
I yeah, there's like.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
Teach, go into the enclosures with the you get to
do like behind the scenes. They don't know, they don't.
I don't let you do that behind.
Speaker 6 (58:25):
The scenes stuff you do little or projects. You walk
around the zoo. You're there all day.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
Long, privileged, all right, and then.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
Like lots of kids, it's congratulations, very popular.
Speaker 1 (58:35):
But really this is for my guy for because is
not a big zoo guy.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
But no zoo. I'm not really into looking at things.
Speaker 7 (58:46):
Wait, what that's like.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
When you walk around and you just look at the animals,
You mean like museums and the world art galleries.
Speaker 3 (58:55):
Gorilla doing something crazy doesn't too much for me.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
When you have a kid, you get to the point
of where you got to like do stuff. You can't
just have out the house and whatever, and so you
start figuring out, you know, things to do. And one
of the things you do when you live in San
Diego is you go to the zoo, push around the stroller.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
Parent that's what you do. My wife has a zoo passed.
There's got one for her and him.
Speaker 1 (59:18):
But for me, I was sort of the same way,
but I got tagged in and so I've been in
the zoo when my kids were little all the time.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
So my son is seven months old and my wife
works every other weekend, so on the weekend it's just
me and a little guy.
Speaker 1 (59:33):
Yeah, you're looking for things to do.
Speaker 2 (59:35):
Well, we watch baseball on Sundays, we and then Saturdays.
I don't know, it's tough. You're gonna go to the zoo.
You're gonna go to the zoo.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
So I'm sort of doing this to help you out.
Speaker 2 (59:46):
No, you don't need to.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
These are my top ten animals I like to see
at the World Famous sand You're.
Speaker 2 (59:57):
With your kids at the zoo when they were younger, Eddie,
would you want to go to the animals you want
to see or would you let them pick?
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Of course, first of all, they're kids, they're gonna like
any animals, okay, right, okay, And so if i'm there,
I want to go see what I want to see. Okay,
So these are my top ten animals.
Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
I'm so excited for this. I'm gonna have lots of opinions. So, oh,
you got to be careful, okay, yeah, be careful.
Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Their animals all right? Coming in as my number ten
animal that I like to see at the zoo are bears,
Bears of all kind Yeah. Well you go in there,
it's like a row of like three different kind of bears. Yes, Emily, yes, Emily.
Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
Yeah, it's going to be annoying.
Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
This is this is so you know, there's a grizzly bear.
There's this bear, there's this bear. Okay, but it's it's
the reason why they're ten. It's almost kind of sad
because they're they're they're just like laying there and you're like, well, dude,
you don't get to do something.
Speaker 6 (01:01:01):
And also there's a there's like a you know, more
than fifty percent they're going to be in.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Their little cave hide their enclosure.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Yeah, you can't see it, you know, like you know,
I get it, but like I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
I wanted to do more when they're active though, it
is pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
When are they active, I've never seen them ever active.
Speaker 6 (01:01:16):
Float in the little water they're a little pond that
they have in there.
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
Yeah, I mean I like it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
I like because you'll notice the animals that I like
are animals that can kill me. Oh really, because I
mean I want I want dangerous animals because I because
I don't cute animals. Who cares? I don't. I don't
care about the qt. I don't care about kihies. I
want dangerous stuff. I asked what I want to say?
You know, I can't walk away. I'm going through bear Canyon, like,
(01:01:44):
come chase me be So bears coming in at number ten,
coming in as my number nine animal. I like to
see it at the zoo, not the safari park.
Speaker 7 (01:01:57):
Oh okay, we're being very specific.
Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
Elephants, Oh, elephants number nine, So so say what they
have the valley now right, I'm being very.
Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
Clear here for I'm being very clear here. Okay, Odyssey,
thank you, oh God, Okay, Zutopia, chill out. So elephants
are unbelievable majestic creatures, so big, you know, so mighty.
Are they really the kings of the jungle? I don't know. Debatable, debatable,
(01:02:32):
but you know I think they're cool. When I go
to the zoo, I like looking at him. But then
you know, again, they're slow. You know, they don't do much.
You're like, okay, that's cool. I'm moving on. I'm going
to go. I'm gonna go see the elephants.
Speaker 7 (01:02:46):
But you don't, you don't linger.
Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
Yeah, I'm just like, all right, the wow, look how
big they are?
Speaker 6 (01:02:50):
They still make your top ten after I go.
Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
How big they are? Look at how big they are.
Now what do I got?
Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
Oh there's a little one, but he's still kind of big.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
Cool, go yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
But now I'm going to the Fari park. That's different.
You get to the new you know, elephant area. It's
a fire park. That's incredible. Yeah, you know, it's like
you're there, you're you're in there, but.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
It's like you're on the savannah.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
It's pretty well.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
But the zoo, I mean, we're there in the elephant
spot and I'm like, all right, cool out of here.
Speaker 7 (01:03:19):
Have you ever seen one take a number two.
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
No, oh, that's a wild scene, bro, because you're like,
that is massive? Like it is it? Ever? Like if
I was standing behind.
Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
That, would I be I wish it would like would.
Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
I be buried?
Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
A lot? Want something bad?
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
And then again you go back to there so massive,
they're so massive?
Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
Yes, guy, thank you for bringing this show down even
a worst level.
Speaker 7 (01:03:42):
I mean, I just that's so far.
Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
I support nine to ten.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Okay, and there are spots, yep. I thought you would
have an issue.
Speaker 4 (01:03:49):
Elephants have to make top ten because they're amazing, but
also they're not I agree.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Coming in as my number eight animal. I like to
see at the zoo.
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Oh you do like I like the drafts again, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
They're so tall. Yeah, but the same sort of situation
with the elephant. You go, oh, man, look look at
how tall they are. Now, look's you can reach that
big leaf?
Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
Have you ever seen him dropping number two?
Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
Brossive?
Speaker 6 (01:04:19):
They do have a lot of.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Babies in that closure. When you get there, do you
immediately try to find someone?
Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
Go?
Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
Which animals? Dropping?
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
A deuced.
Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Stupid?
Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
But you know they got the crazy long tongue.
Speaker 4 (01:04:33):
Yeah, that's that's really cute. Eyes and their big old eyelashes.
Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
Sure, I don't never really notice that bute.
Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
Okay, the eyelashes are they're so long, they're so long.
Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Yeah. When I go on safari at the Animal Kingdom
of Walt Disney World, you go in a jeep and
you're literally arms length from drafts. That's cool. That's when
you're looking at him that close, I'm like, oh man,
the it's crazy. And then if you get a rare chance,
we seem kind of gallop a little bit, You're like.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
Oh, that's okay, that'd be neat.
Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
So so that that one gave you a little bit
of a bump to make them at number eighty, this
may be a little bit of a surprise for you
coming in at my number seven animal I like to
see at the zoo. I like going into the snake enclosure.
The snakes are cool.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
At this it's the reptile house.
Speaker 1 (01:05:26):
It's not the snake enclosure because there's other reptiles. I
don't care about the other I actually I don't care
about the other reptiles. Oh you don't know, I don't care.
I don't need to see amphibians like a turtle.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
I know what a crazy turtle with a.
Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Really long It doesn't do nothing for me.
Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Or the monitor lizards.
Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Dragon there, we got it, you know, come out a dragon.
Kind of cool. But but specifically I like snakes, like
I go in there, look at snake. You got a
king cobra in there, Like, what the hell?
Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
You can see how dangerous they are by their venom
level on the top.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
That is kind of cool.
Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
It's pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Yeah, but it is sinky in there. I'm gonna warn
it a little bit. Sometimes it can get a little cool.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Yeah, you know, I like looking going around looking at
the different snakes. You know, Oh, look at that color
that one. Oh where's the I don't even see the same.
Oh yeah, he is exciting.
Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
Are you like looking for him?
Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
You gotta do that?
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
See for me?
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
That wouldn't know. You're not a snick.
Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
It's anod spot to get out of the sun for
a minute.
Speaker 7 (01:06:20):
I'll give you that, but.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
I don't need that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
That's always feel better than everybody else looking when you
fight him first.
Speaker 1 (01:06:25):
Oh of course he's on the tree. He's on the laws.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
There's another group of a family that's not related.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
And you tell him like okay, really.
Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Yeah, ok. I like snakes all right, coming in as
my number six animal I like to see at the
San Diego Zoo, of course the mighty rhino. Oh really,
you show me around, don't you ever give a bad
smirk of a rhino?
Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
Like what are you? You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
Like, what are you?
Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
You're not a hippo, You're not an elephant, Like you're
a rhino.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
You're cool, man, Rhinos are cool. I don't think rhinos
are cool.
Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
They're cool, but they just they talk about animals that
they don't do anything they do.
Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
But I'm always like, those are cool.
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
They're in danger to yes, very very scary, very scary.
Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
You don't like rhinos.
Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
I'm not impressed, but you suck.
Speaker 2 (01:07:19):
Like if they were doing they would because they're big,
so their poops not em problem.
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
If they were doing something cool with their horns charging
at yeah, or like digging a hole with it or
something that, I'd be like more impressed. But I just
stand with you on this.
Speaker 1 (01:07:33):
But I like the the coolness of them just because
so rare. They're cool looking, and I do like imagine
them doing the ram thing, you know, with their horn,
and I want to see that, But I'm never going
to see that. But I still think about it, like if.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
They set up like a cardboard human and then they
had it like into Amaz'd be impressed.
Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
Yeah. I like rhinos. I think they're cool. I like rhinos.
You know, I even consider putting me higher really because
I'm see the rhino and I'm like, oh man, that
guy's cool. That's how I feel about it, all right.
My number five animal I like to see at the
San Diego Zoo is specifically monkeys. Okay, I'm going just
(01:08:14):
monkeys in general, because there's so many different kinds of monkeys.
No no, no, no, no monkeys. Monkeys like the silly guys,
like the ones where there's like swinging around. You know.
The only thing that hurts some monkeys is it could
be a holes. They could be a little bit of
a holes to each other, which is not cool. You go, hey,
you don't do that, don't do that. But I like them.
(01:08:36):
They're they're active. Those ones are active. You know, you'll
get them swinging around, jumping from stuff, and you're just like, oh,
this is cool man.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Picking the stuff out of each other.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
Yeah, So like that's that's kind of fun. And you
can linger there for a little bit because you'll you'll
get a little bit of a show. You'll get a
little bit of show.
Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Love love the five spot for this.
Speaker 1 (01:08:53):
Okay, monkeys coming at number five, my number four animal
that I like to see at the San Diego Zoo.
This one does to see. I get I'm cheating here
and I should be more specific, but it's too there's
too many big cats. What do you mean big Okay,
you've got lions, You've got tigers, you got leopards, you
got cheetahs, you got jaguars, you got all those. They're
(01:09:16):
all cool, you know, you go on the tiger trail.
Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
I just got really excited.
Speaker 1 (01:09:22):
I can see all of them there because you you
want to see a snow leopard.
Speaker 3 (01:09:26):
Oh yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
They got them.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
They got them.
Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
They got them.
Speaker 6 (01:09:29):
Mountain lion, they got one by the sky far at
the top.
Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
Yeah. I'm also like, what do we need a mountain lion.
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
Because we have them up in the mountains there. They'll
run around Ramona.
Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
I don't need to see it. I don't need to
see a mountain lion. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Yeah, I like this pick as well, Eddie. Once I
was there and the jaguars were like walking on this
tightrope thing above us.
Speaker 7 (01:09:47):
They have like this cool like tight rope thing.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Never seen anything like it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
Oh, it's amazing, It was amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
It's cool.
Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
Okay, so I just kind of had to group them
all together because I mean, there's so many of them
and they're.
Speaker 3 (01:09:57):
Sorry, I think you should pick one.
Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
Okay, but how do you you're.
Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
So tough coming in as my number three animal. I
like to go visit at the San Diego Zoo. The hippos.
Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
Oh really, yeah, they're hungry, hungry.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
I mean they're pretty cool. Especially you see in the water. Yeah,
you know, they're afloat.
Speaker 6 (01:10:17):
And sometimes they're right by the glass.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
Okay, their little legs swimming. You don't like seeing the
hippos in the under the water, I'm not really impressed.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
Are you out of your mind?
Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:10:28):
And then you get the facts of like how they
kill more people in like Africa than lions do, and
how like crazy kind of dangerous they are. And especially
you see the hippos at feeding time and there's some
watermelons and stuff in there, crushing water.
Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
I mean, I mean they're better than your rhinos. But still,
I mean we're top three here.
Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
That's where my grandparents memorial hip the Big Sky.
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
You're going to spend time.
Speaker 6 (01:10:54):
I spent time there means a lot to me that.
Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
Your grandparents stuff shot. I don't think it was a
shot childer. Okay, really this is top three stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
I'm hanging out at the hippo spot for a while.
I'm like, this is so cool. I can't believe you
don't like the hips.
Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
You don't get it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:15):
You don't get it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
You don't get it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
Thank you? All right? I wait now top to my
number two animal I like to see at the zoo,
the polar bears. Now here's the thing that hurts the
polar bears. Could have been number one, really could have
I love the polar bears. Number first thing that hurts
the polar bears so far, it's all the way at
(01:11:39):
the corner. You gotta, you gotta. It's a trick. I
gotta get all the way to the Arctic. I mean
it's a it's a trick. Yeah, And so getting all
the way over there it's pain. But then I'll play
in the little area a little bit where I pop
my head over in the ice thing, and I mean,
I gotta, you gotta do that.
Speaker 7 (01:11:55):
For children.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Take a picture. Take a picture. You look at me.
My head out for you, sir. But then again you
get to see that. The only thing that really hurts
the polar bears is that if they're not active. If
they're not active, we run into the bear situation again,
where you're just like they're just laying.
Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
There like mountain they can hide behind, and then everybody
has to walk in the alley to see them.
Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
Yeah, there's either a.
Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
Really big high with it because you see them, or
there's the water.
Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
If they're in the water, there's nothing cooler it is.
There's nothing cool.
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
It's a risk.
Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
You don't like the polar bears.
Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
I do, but it's just it's always hit or miss.
It is they think they'd be lower on my life.
Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
But because I like it so much, and if I
do see them doing something, it gets me hyped. I
like the polar bears and they're just so cool. They
look like they're the friendliest things in the world. But
they'll they'll rip you the shreds. Again, I like animals.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
It will kill me their face. They're super dangerous beyond yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:51):
Oh yeah, they actually will hunt human which is so cool,
which is so cool. Yeah, I'm never gonna be the Arctic.
I'm not worried about it. So, you know, pretty pretty
kick ass coming in As my number one animal I
like to see at the zoo, and this is easy, bro.
(01:13:12):
The gorillas, the specifically the gorillas. Really, I will spend
most of my day watching the gorillas because they're so awesome.
They're so awesome. I love the gorillas and that's my
favorite spot. I'll make a bee line to the gorillas.
Oh yeah, because I love them. I think they're so cool.
(01:13:33):
They're they're also mighty. And again if you get them
doing something, you know when they kind of like pound
their chest, they run a little bit and you're.
Speaker 3 (01:13:39):
Like, like, what the hell kill me head right off.
Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
Oh yeah. So with a question my number one, did.
Speaker 2 (01:13:49):
You miss anything?
Speaker 4 (01:13:51):
I mean I would have said my number one probably
the ring tanks because I love that I put it
not I do respect you not putting one thing on
your list. Actually two things, two things say I am
not the biggest panda person and the.
Speaker 1 (01:14:04):
Worst animal at the zoo, most overrated, most overrated, Like
I get take your pain, this, take him back to China.
I don't need him, don't need him. Don't care. They
do nothing for me. They do nothing for me.
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
The line to go see them.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
The lines at who cares? Yeah, what's it doing?
Speaker 7 (01:14:28):
Lots of photo taken?
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Can't be so cute paper, he's.
Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
Rolling the get out of here, Get out of here.
I'll walk right by. I'll walk right by.
Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
Wow, I will too, don't care, I will.
Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
I'll give you the list. I'll give you this. I'll
give you list.
Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
You said you're gonna need it going, No, you're gonna go.
Speaker 1 (01:14:49):
You're gonna go. All right, there you go? Are you gussie?
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Excuse me?
Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
You know you let him out bombs off? You know. Yeah,
we're gonna see what they say the average amount of
farts a person has a day. When we get back
on the show' rock on a five three? All right,
time to be honest, guys, Oh no, it's gonna be tough,
(01:15:16):
but we have to do this. Okay, this is what
we do. We're gonna now try to estimate and admit
on average average day, many farts do we let loose?
Where it's you know, you know what's going on. I'm
not just talking about you know, sitting down on toilet ware.
(01:15:37):
I'm saying like you're a rip one, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Like toilet ones don't count as what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (01:15:42):
I mean, I guess they do, but you know those
are those are the lame.
Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
You're talking about. Like you're standing in your kitchen and you.
Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
Look around where whatever, whoever, whatever, Okay, you know, let's
calm down, calm down, Okay, I'll start with the mighty.
Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Or yeah, the mighty.
Speaker 1 (01:16:02):
If you could guesstimate on an average average day.
Speaker 7 (01:16:06):
Come on, I don't doubt it, Like honestly.
Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
He's got some tummy stuff, you know. So uh, you know, gird,
I think what really, uh average day for you? What
do you think?
Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
One hundred?
Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
Really you think that many? One hundred?
Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
You know, maybe seventy five because you probably think it's
less than what it is. But throughout twenty that's a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:16:32):
That's a lot. I don't think so, because I mean,
I feel like I'm decently gassy. And for some reason,
it's always after dinner, after dinners when they hit it's
strong strong, Wrong, Okay, I got you wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
I think about how many steps you take it a day? Right,
you don't think that there are? Yeah, five six hours?
But I know when i'm really are I know when
I'm farting. Yeah, but I think you just probably do
it more than you think.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
Okay, I'll give you that, But I would say, like,
thirty is.
Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
A lot a lot, Okay, it's fifty fifty for you. Yeah,
I think so, Okay, it's a lot of parts.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
It's a lot of farts, baby, that's that is a
normal day. Yeah, a big, a big day. You go.
Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
If you're eating a lot of protein, your fart.
Speaker 1 (01:17:18):
No, there is a part of these protein part of
the If you're eating.
Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
Fart eggs, you're fart a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
But I don't know that we're going to get the
truth here, but we're gonna see, We're gonna see. It
all depends on our rood Emily. This is tough. Yea, No,
it's weird. Yeah, on average, I mean farts you think
you let loose in a day.
Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
I was thinking along the lines of like twenty do
you really yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:17:46):
Oh really, that's a ton.
Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
I like, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:17:50):
I mean, I eat so a ton of proteins. I
do a lot of I eat so many veggies. I
eat lots of like things like cabbage and a hard
boiled eggs.
Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
It will smell so bad.
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
I mean, I don't think they like roses, probably, but
I think some days it's less and some days it's more.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
That is so uncomfortable that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
I have no idea what an Emily fart would sound like,
like a squeaker or is it like a beefer?
Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
You know, I don't know if we need to know,
like like a ripper.
Speaker 4 (01:18:24):
I try very hard not to make it like that,
but even if I buy myself still like even it
being loud, like is like too much a trigger?
Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Uh huh studying what does that mean?
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
I don't know, Like if I'm by myself, dude, I
want it to be loud. You do. I want the
roof to shake. Why do you like amazing? Your body's awesome?
Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
The hot?
Speaker 6 (01:18:48):
This is a weird roof to shake?
Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
You just said when a part shaker?
Speaker 1 (01:18:54):
Sky?
Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
Yes, average, If you want to ask me this question
two months ago, go two months ago, I would have said, yeah,
about a month and a half. Two months ago, some
things have changed in my diet, I would have said,
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:19:10):
Three a day.
Speaker 1 (01:19:11):
Three three yeah, like yeah, that's not.
Speaker 3 (01:19:15):
When your people talk like talk about how much he
forms and I go, oh my god, he needs to
see a doctor, like that's not normal. But lately lots
of iron supplements. Uh, lots. It causes a lot of issues, uh,
with the digestional.
Speaker 7 (01:19:33):
Track, with the whole track, and then on the oats.
Speaker 3 (01:19:37):
The oats really seem to get me, those steel cutouts.
So I'm gonna say, so, when you.
Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
Get home from work, there's your husband have.
Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
To Well, no, I don't. I'll try and do the
thing where I like pretend, not pretend, but like no
one's in the room. But then sometimes it'll be so
loud even I know on the other side of the house.
Speaker 7 (01:19:58):
They'll here, they'll he well, because our house shaker, our.
Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
Roof shake, roofshake, open open concept, you know, you know
tile floors.
Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
Yeah, I make the staff fart for me.
Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
There's cuss a guy who has a giant leaf who's
waving lafting the farts out of the room.
Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
Spread the fart man. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
So before I was like three times a day and
thought I was nailing it, and now I'm now I'm
like fifteen times a day, and if it's a bad day,
it could get to twenty scot Yeah. Yeah, lots of
it's shameful.
Speaker 7 (01:20:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
Well, they looked into this and tried to figure out
what what's an average amount of farts a day for
a person?
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
Yeah. They created an app for this study called Chart
Your Farts and it's brilliant.
Speaker 1 (01:20:54):
I gotta have this.
Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
Yeah, and they found that the normal person is doing
about five to twenty farts a day.
Speaker 1 (01:21:04):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:21:06):
Yeah, what's going on with us? With the most popular time,
Eddie being after dinner, like you said, between six and ten.
Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
Pmt pas gage is let loose.
Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
But very close to that is right after lunch around
noon to two coming in second place, and you'd be surprised.
Speaker 7 (01:21:25):
Men and women about the same number.
Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
Yeah, we just admitted more. Yeah, and find it funnier.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
Okay, so there definitely do.
Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
We all have pets, right, we love them, but we
are a little sad that they can't talk to us.
I wish, we wish they could. But we're gonna see
what pet owners wish they could ask their pets. And
when I'm next on the show, A rock with a
five three. So you know, we've talked about this recently
about how we want to be able to talk to
our pets. In fact, there's some company out there that's
(01:21:54):
gonna be able to let you talk to your pet
or something like that, yes, like figure out what they're
saying something. I don't know how that's possible, but it's
it's right, not but whatever. So they asked us in
a question of like, if you could actually ask your
pet something, what would you ask? I mean as that
you like, what are you asking Tito right now?
Speaker 4 (01:22:17):
I'd be asking Tito what he feels like eating? Yes,
as is it time? Would you like to keep going?
Because Tito's my little sixteen year old chula, an older guy,
not a lot of teeth, he's blind in one eye,
the other eyes almost gone, but he's still like, will
hop around once in a while, and it just gives
me more signs of life. Right, But I'd like to
ask him what he wants to eat. I know that's
(01:22:38):
exciting or fun, but he's not eating like he's so
picky right now. He really will walk up to the
food bawl when I give him different things, and he'll
just basically look at me and give me an.
Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
F you sign the rest of your family you food.
Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
That's not funny.
Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
No, that's not the way that's really funny.
Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
It's actually not it's actually it's actually dog food.
Speaker 1 (01:22:56):
Okay, okay, And so doing that.
Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
Hey, that's probably what i'd want to ask him, or if.
Speaker 1 (01:23:04):
What you want for dinner?
Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
What you want for dinner?
Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
Or if it's time not that meat loaf?
Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Hey, so funny.
Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
Okay, nothing from that oven.
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
Okay, it's so funny. That's not what he's saying.
Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
Can we order out?
Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
Yeah, I'm a decent cook. You don't need to say that.
Speaker 1 (01:23:23):
I didn't say anything. I didn't say anything. Do everything
the dog said it?
Speaker 2 (01:23:31):
Really?
Speaker 1 (01:23:34):
Uh? Yeah, if I could talk to my little dog Coco,
I already asked her questions. Yeah, she just doesn't answer. Yeah,
you know, she's just lying like she's a dog. So
she just lies half the time, you know, and I'll go, oh,
why you shot the English accent for some reason? You
do you shod? And she's not, and then she'll perk
(01:23:56):
up and look at me and whatever. She's just laying there. Yeah,
you know, that question gets asked a lot. She's saying there,
you know that she's a dog, So of course she is.
And so you know, if ever, I always the only
thing I really care about is if if ever she
doesn't seem right, like to ask her what's wrong? Yes,
that's all I care about. You I mean everything else whatever,
(01:24:18):
But I mean, if you know, if she could tell
me what was wrong, then, like, you know, like why
are you scratching so much? You seem like you're scratching
more than Yeah, it's bugging bugging me right here? Okay,
so you know what, that'd be great to know that.
So I think that's what i'd ask, everything else whatever,
Sky you got a couple of doggies, Yeah, what are
you asking?
Speaker 3 (01:24:38):
Definitely the like symptom stuff, because Naga does this weird
thing where he just starts panting out of nowhere and
we're doing heartbeating counts and all this stuff. Yes, I
talked about it had was too much, so but what
first popped into my head is do you like it
or do you not like it? When I smother you
(01:24:59):
with affection? Because smother is definitely the word. Like I'm
on top of it, like I'm like put my hand,
you know, does the.
Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
Boo ever look at you and go can I get
some of that?
Speaker 7 (01:25:12):
He had a conversation with me once about it.
Speaker 3 (01:25:15):
So because he gets zero kisses and they get like
a thousand kisses a day, So I don't know if
they like if they like the kisses or not. I
know they like the belly rubs, but do they like
the smothering or does it annoy them?
Speaker 7 (01:25:28):
Like, Mom, get off of me, let me, let me
breathe please.
Speaker 1 (01:25:31):
Dam Uh you got a million petst uh. If you
could ask them questions, what would it be?
Speaker 2 (01:25:37):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (01:25:38):
What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
Like last night we had a disaster situation. We had, yeah,
we had Marshall was looking my cat was looking out
the window. Watson was sleeping on the blanket on the bed,
and Kimmy, our other cat, was sleeping next to Haley.
But Wilson, our dog, didn't know what to do because
why the spot where Watson was at could have it
(01:26:00):
wander where King Zzak couldn't have it. So he was
walking around the bed hoping somebody was going to call
him up. Then he was on the dog bed rubbing
his face, trying to nest but didn't know how to.
He still don't how to do that, and he was
rolling around. I just want to be like, hey, what's
going on? What do you want?
Speaker 1 (01:26:15):
What do you want? And if he says, I don't know,
I just can't get comfortable.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
It's not that he can't get comfortable, he just he
wants because he wants to be on top of Haley.
That's what he wants. Well, if he says that, I'm like, hey,
you get a little tougher. You give me three years old,
Billy Willy?
Speaker 3 (01:26:34):
You could ask him why so scared?
Speaker 2 (01:26:36):
He's scared of everything. It's annoying. It's annoying. Let's tough enough,
a little bit silly? Well, what afraid of my son?
Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
Now? I mean he's a monster.
Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
It would be to.
Speaker 1 (01:26:47):
What did the most pet owners want to know?
Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
The top things are, what are you thinking about? What's
your favorite thing we do together? Do you understand what
I'm saying? Do you like your life? And? Number one?
Speaker 7 (01:27:01):
Are you happy?
Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:27:03):
I mean how could they not being they lived a
life of luxury? Mean, give me a break, right whatever. Obviously,
we like to stay informed, you know, you want to
stay on top of things, But what are we exactly
informed about? Specifically, We're going to go over a range
of topics and see how informed we are when we
(01:27:24):
get back on the show at Rocket five three. So
I kind of think doing what we do, we have
to kind of stay informed on things, you know, I
mean there's a lot of stuff going on. Some stuff
I don't care that much about or care to know about.
But uh, you know, you ask us about you know,
what's the hottest rumor in Hollywood? You know we're pretty
(01:27:47):
informed on that, yeah, you know, or whatever you asked
athor any doings in free agency in the NFL. You
knows well everything that's going on. So you know, we're
informed in certain areas, but I don't know that we're
that informed in all areas of life. So they actually
ask people about specific topics and asked, do you feel
(01:28:08):
you are informed or not?
Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
Yeah, because I don't know if you guys have heard
or not about this whole thing going on America to
fifty you know, oh, really living America? All right then?
So yeah, So they asked a bunch of America and
thousands of Americans about being well informed, and of course
(01:28:36):
everybody in the study says, yes, that's part of our
civic duty, that's part of being an American to be
well informed.
Speaker 7 (01:28:45):
But are you well informed?
Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
Even though what are we talking about? Well, that's the thing,
because you asked me, Am I well informed in like politics? No?
Speaker 3 (01:28:54):
Well, this is America stuff, so I hate politics. Oh yeah.
So they decided to ask this group of thousands of
Americans about specific topics, they eleven of them, and is
it important that Americans be informed? And then they went
back down the list and asked again, are you informed
(01:29:17):
about this topic? To see because you know, sometimes, you guys,
we don't always practice what we preach. I don't know
if you've ever heard that before.
Speaker 2 (01:29:24):
So here we go.
Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
The healthcare system.
Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
Oh that's tough.
Speaker 3 (01:29:30):
Yeah, yeah, how that all works? Insurance, Medicare, Medicare.
Speaker 1 (01:29:34):
I feel charge A lot of us feel we're pretty
informed about it. It's never good. It's not good. No,
you know, we're paying an arm leg literally for everything.
But are we actually informed?
Speaker 4 (01:29:47):
I mean, I know what my deductibles are, those kinds
of copays and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:29:50):
Does that mean I'm informed?
Speaker 1 (01:29:51):
But we don't know what things actually cost until after
we get the bill? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:29:56):
Oh totally.
Speaker 1 (01:29:57):
So how informed are we? Yeah? I don't know. Mildly,
I guess.
Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
I would sound well. Eighty two percent of us say yes,
it's super important to be informed, but only thirty four
percent claim they actually know how the system works, voting
and the election process, delegates states vote, I know.
Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
Where my pulling place is. That's about it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:25):
Big issue, right, now counting the mail in ballots? How
long do they get to count those? Blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
Why would there be a limit on how long you
gets the county count intil it's all done?
Speaker 1 (01:30:37):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
A limit?
Speaker 3 (01:30:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
Why? Yeah? Why would there be a limit now?
Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
Because why everything's ricked?
Speaker 2 (01:30:43):
Whoever doesn't win says it's ricked well, And.
Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
Because some people don't like what's happening now with the
mail in ballots being counted, they're saying there should be
a time limit.
Speaker 7 (01:30:53):
You know, this is twenty twenty six. Why does this
process take so long?
Speaker 2 (01:30:57):
He does.
Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
Yeah, so there's a lot that was into that. Do
we feel informed about that?
Speaker 1 (01:31:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
No, yeah, no, no, not at all should be.
Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
Did you guys hear?
Speaker 1 (01:31:06):
I know your publishes. I'm so impressed with you.
Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
That thing better never moved.
Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
No, she'll never vote again.
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
Yeah. So of course eighty two percent say we should know,
and fifty percent.
Speaker 7 (01:31:20):
Claim they do know how it works.
Speaker 3 (01:31:22):
I saw you, Yeah, about what the president can do
and cannot do presidential powers, I thought.
Speaker 1 (01:31:30):
I knew, but apparently changes.
Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
The guy in office now. The guy in office now
thinks he could do whatever he wants. That's huge. But
I don't think that's the case. I don't think. Yeah,
he's not. He wants to be Kim Jong, but he's not.
Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
Oh okay. Well, eighty percent say it's important to know,
and only thirty six percent say they actually know the
rules about that immigration policies. Oh wait, that's not I
thought that's where we say Jesus green cards workers something.
Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
I feel the same way. Like again, I felt like
I thought I knew, but I'm not really sure. You know, No,
I think you can do whatever you want.
Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
Yeah, Only thirty nine percent of us actually know what's
up with that tax.
Speaker 2 (01:32:14):
Policies, that's all Emily Matt.
Speaker 1 (01:32:18):
That's my specialty.
Speaker 2 (01:32:19):
That is my specialty.
Speaker 3 (01:32:21):
Yeah, tax, my tax guy.
Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
He's trying to explain it to me, and I just go,
don't worry about it, exactly, I go, ron just as
violent for let me know wrong, that's so true.
Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
Well this a quarter of us actually claim to know
what's going on with taxes, social security? How does that work?
Speaker 2 (01:32:42):
I know I'm not getting it.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
I know that left.
Speaker 7 (01:32:45):
Does inflation play a part in that anything?
Speaker 1 (01:32:49):
No clue?
Speaker 3 (01:32:50):
Only thirty percent say they know about that foreign policy?
Speaker 7 (01:32:53):
What's so deal with other kinds?
Speaker 1 (01:32:55):
I know that like the back of my hand.
Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
Why do we help some people?
Speaker 6 (01:32:58):
And I were just talking about this last night.
Speaker 1 (01:32:59):
We were really breaking down policy. Crazy feel about it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
I need to some people, but then we fight other people.
How does all that know?
Speaker 1 (01:33:07):
It depends on the administration.
Speaker 3 (01:33:08):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (01:33:09):
Only twenty three percent claim to know what's up with that?
Speaker 3 (01:33:12):
How about gun.
Speaker 7 (01:33:13):
Regulations in this country?
Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
The rules?
Speaker 3 (01:33:16):
How that works?
Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
The NRA?
Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
What's their deal?
Speaker 1 (01:33:19):
I have to know about that?
Speaker 3 (01:33:20):
Well, I mean yeah, they're like the biggest lobbyist.
Speaker 7 (01:33:23):
When it comes to gun stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:33:27):
You know that when you haven't got your house you
should keep it in a safe I know that it's
good safety good. I think if somebody comes on your
property you can standing around. I think that's not all
that's if I thought that was the case and then
I end up doing something really bad and to Robert.
Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Yeah, he's a trustfusser.
Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
I mean thought, Yeah, only about a third of us
know what's up with that? How about childhood vaccine policies?
Speaker 7 (01:33:57):
Guy, ooh, yeah, that's that's.
Speaker 1 (01:33:59):
Learned because you didn't want to do any of that.
Speaker 3 (01:34:02):
I was a delayed vaccin er. Some called me an
anti vaxxer. Yeah, it was unfortunate when you'd get a
letter from your child's school saying they will not be
allowed back next year if you don't do X, Y
and Z over the summer. Ki Kid by the way, yeah,
only a third of us know about that. Federal regulations
(01:34:25):
when it comes to technology and media companies.
Speaker 1 (01:34:28):
So that's changing constantly with AI now. I mean they're
making all kinds of different regulations and all kinds of
things are happening, So that's constantly changing. There's no way
you can stay informed them.
Speaker 3 (01:34:39):
Well, and remember how much we were loving Napster and
we're like, oh, well back in the day, like how
much we are loving Napster? And you get free music
and then all the music people are like, this is
completely illegal what all of you are doing right now?
Speaker 1 (01:34:52):
Like so like twenty five years called I.
Speaker 3 (01:34:56):
Know, but that was that was kind of a moment
of like, oh, wire man, oh really, yeah, only fifteen
percent know about that. And finally they asked about marijuana regulations. Guy, yes,
I know. I would I would answer this question say yes,
I am informant. Yes, I back in the day was
(01:35:16):
a medical marijuana.
Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
What's wrong with you?
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
Lots anxiety from leading ibs, whatever, whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
Spoke for that.
Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
Yeah, oh yeah, really helps settle that settles the stomach. Yeah,
for thirty years, yes, yes, definitely, uh huh okay, well yeah,
once they said, hey, if you just pay off this
doctor and he writes you a pass to basically smoke
weed and you're good, then yeah, then I'm gonna do that.
Speaker 6 (01:35:44):
And there's a weed store every two blocks.
Speaker 3 (01:35:46):
Yeah, uh huh, definitely is.
Speaker 7 (01:35:48):
But the taxes on that, Emily out.
Speaker 4 (01:35:52):
I know that you're not supposed to be a certain
amount of distance from schools, and I know there's one
that's being built right now that has a loophole. So
they put the weed store on the second floor, and
that's the loophole that's actually legit. So the parking is downstairs,
but since it's on the second floor, it can be
a block place to be right there.
Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
We're so informed, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:36:10):
Only twenty three percent actually know what's going on with that,
all right, so we don't know anything basically basically.
Speaker 1 (01:36:16):
That's great.
Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
But did you hear I know where?
Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
No you don't. Yeah, yeah, And that second story thing
was really informative, thank you. Uh, the padres stars aren't hitting,
we know that, right, so why not let the young
guys step up. Right, We're gonna see how the newer
call ups stepped up last night next to Sports Dirt. So,
(01:36:40):
I guess if the Padres star players aren't gonna do nothing,
let's let they let let kids do it, Let them guys,
let give them a shot. Let's see what happens here. Yeah,
that's kind of what went down yesterday in the Padres game.
They started a series against the Reds now first of all,
hottest player baseball ready for me? You heard it right?
(01:37:06):
He had a home run in his third straight game
to put the Padres on the board in the third,
and you go.
Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
Okay, wait, ready is that you? Is that you? Ready?
Speaker 1 (01:37:16):
I mean done? You hadn't done squat all year, and
now three games in a row you've done yard.
Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
That's pretty crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:37:22):
They keep it on one. Sorry sorry Duran uh No, Yeah,
I mean so that was kind of cool. But then
the Reds took a two to one lead in the sixth,
and you know things are looking bleak again. You're like,
here we go. But then the team relied on young
Samad Taylor, who has been making a bunch of plays
in the outfield. This guy, I mean, he's playing great defense,
(01:37:44):
and you're like, okay, but you know what can he
do at the plate? Well, he had a nice little
bunt single that scored a run in the seventh and
a two run RBI in the eighth to help the
Padres get a six to two win. Now, the Padres
actually laid down three straight bunts in the seventh that
the Reds couldn't field any of them cleanly, and so
(01:38:06):
that worked. Yeah, get a little small ball going manufactured
these runs. So that's pretty cool. Uh. The other young gun,
which is outfielder Jason Bow and he went two for three,
was on base three times, stole a couple of bases.
So let's go. Let's go all right, listen merrily. You
ain't doing it, Manny. You definitely ain't doing it, Toddy,
(01:38:28):
if you didn't now last night, Okay, gimme gimme Sama Taylor.
Oh yeah, gimme Jase Bow.
Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
Do you see his family lives is all in Corona.
Speaker 3 (01:38:36):
They're all from Corona, California.
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
So this is one of the first times they've ever
been able to watch him play MLBA.
Speaker 1 (01:38:41):
Grandma, oh Grandon got to see him play. That's pretty
pretty sweet.
Speaker 3 (01:38:50):
I don't understand that touching watch him play. Your son's
in the majors, like you know, they never flew to
go through.
Speaker 2 (01:38:56):
Yeah, you're not gonna make it. He's probably making one
seven hundred thousand dollars to make it. They he can't
buy you a couple of tickets. The team can't.
Speaker 1 (01:39:05):
Like, that's so insane.
Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
Whenever I hear whenever I hear a family say first
time I got to see him play, I'd be like,
that's awful. How is this the first time you got
to see him play? I gotta work Like that doesn't
make sense.
Speaker 3 (01:39:18):
Wow, you can't.
Speaker 2 (01:39:19):
You can't take a vacation day and the kids in
the majors now off, That doesn't It goes great?
Speaker 6 (01:39:25):
Great traveling.
Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
There was a football player who who got drafted recently
and his dad's never seen him play, And I'm like,
how is that possible? He played for a massive D
one school. What they're paying them millions of dollars. Honestly,
I don't believe it, Like I think it's just something
they say because there's no way it's possible. Man.
Speaker 1 (01:39:49):
He was quite a scene out at Madison Square Garden
for Game three of the NBA Finals last night. President
Trump was in attendance last night, becoming the first sitting
president to attend an NBA Finals game. He didn't get
mooed pretty loudly during the national anthem.
Speaker 3 (01:40:07):
I read what he said.
Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
Well, he thought it was just there were enthusiastic.
Speaker 7 (01:40:11):
That cheers were so loud.
Speaker 1 (01:40:12):
Yeah, no, there was.
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
There was a lot of bees.
Speaker 1 (01:40:15):
There were. I mean the amount of celebrities that were
there yesterday were wild.
Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
Man is crazy, man, it was. It was nuts. When
you were watching the game and they on the court,
you just see everyone, any celebrity.
Speaker 1 (01:40:24):
And he was most impressed by Adrian Brody. Man, how
do you get an oscar?
Speaker 6 (01:40:28):
Whether they're that's a pretty big deal.
Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
I've never seen the guy being nick ever. But I
love that Eli and Jeter were there though those are
two and Larry another New York But it was funny
halftime comes back and people were still not in their seats,
which is annoying, and like a lot of seats were
empty in the first two rows because people were probably
like eating or coming back.
Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
I P bar, I P bar.
Speaker 2 (01:40:52):
The only guy still in a seat Larry da of.
Speaker 4 (01:40:54):
Course, Yeah, you're looking at Jeter, Larry Yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (01:41:00):
Then yeah yeah, and then one was funny too. The
Knicks were down and they were on a little bit
of a run because they did not play well in
the second half. And there was a guy sitting next
to Larry's standing and at one point you see Larry
reach his arm over to tell him to sit out
because Larry wouldn't stand up.
Speaker 1 (01:41:15):
He paid four hundred thousand dollars to that seat.
Speaker 2 (01:41:19):
I feel I'm standing. Larry was Leon. It wasn't Leon.
Leon wasn't there.
Speaker 1 (01:41:24):
Oh, Tifter, Victor Winona was there. He had a monster game,
scored thirty two, grabbed eight rebounds, and these Spurs one
fifteen to one to eleven win over the Knicks and
cut their lead to two to one. Now, uh so
we'll see this lost snaps the knicks thirteen game win streak,
which was the second longest an NBA postseason history. So
that was an impressive run.
Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
But Game four is massive mass. They got a win
game mass. If they don't, it's a completely different series.
So all the pressures on the Knicks. Tomorrow, Yeah, tomorrow night,
there I go.
Speaker 1 (01:41:54):
That is sports skirt for today, all right, it is Tuesday.

a lot of times Sublime will do like minute long
chinda not not quite like hip hop albums, but they're
like a minute long songs that are just real quick
okay whatever.
