Speaker 1 (00:00):

is here, and what better way to start it than with.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I feel like the show is going to be great.
This show, I would like to introduce you to.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
The ringleader, Eddie. Here's the thing about Eddie you need
to know. Eddie doesn't have the ability to.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Not be ed.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
The mother of this crew. Sky, I'm kind of miss meek,
like you can almost talk me Sandy thin Sor.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I'm not a social butterfly, nor do I want to be.
And Emily, I.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Am sometimes very very selfish and sometimes I'm actually very
very given.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Welcome to the show on San Diegos Rock station Rock
one oh five three. I guarantee you a lot of
people were probably thinking about thor on Saturday night. Wait,
what why would people be thinking about them? Well? The
next did it? The next one? I mean, if you
(00:55):
saw the footage of New York City, holy cow, wow. Yeah,
I mean, it's just madness. And there was a reason.
Because the Knicks have not won a championship since nineteen
seventy three, the year I was born. Day. That's nuts.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
If it was think about that fifty if they if
they go another fifty three years, we'd all be dead.
Think about that.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I'm not gonna be alloted with fifty three years, so
weird way to look at it.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
But okay, you might, I mean you might maybe, but
we looked at like what twenty seventy nine?
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Two?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yeah, seventy nine. That's crazy think about? Right, Wow, that's
not crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Think about So talk to me about Saturday, your emotions, Like,
how did it all go how did it all go down?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Here's a big day. Yeah, I went to I was
just kind of I watched my son most of the
day and then went to the gym. And I was
getting anxiety at the gym. It was three thirty. The
game started at five thirty, and I was getting anxiety.
I was gonna miss it two hours.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
I just wanted the gym two hours away from.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Your house, No, fifteen minutes. And then so I worked
out quick workout, got that in, got home, and my
son's been sick. He's still sick, and he still had
a fever on Saturday, which sucks. So like it was
the game they're doing starting lineups, and like you know,
when when you really want to watch something, you're just
like hyper irritable because you just want to watch it.
(02:14):
But I had to help with the best time and
the down putting him down process.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Oh really, I.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Did for the most part, but she's my wife. Still
needed help with a couple of things because we're doing
the Sinus rents on him, and that's there's nothing. There's
nothing sadder on earth than hearing him gagging when you're
doing a sinus rent. It's the saddest sound on earth
and it makes me want to cry. But he needs
it done because he's got so much. You kids, he's
a stuff face daughter. Stop face. Yeah, my seven month
(02:47):
old is not face two point Oh.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
Yeah, my daughter got named stop faced because one time
she got a cold and went through like seven boxes
of tissues in one day, and from that point on,
anytime she's sick, she's not that.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
It was a it was a wild time, guys, So
so I get it.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
My daughter's the queen of too, and it's the worst
to hear her gagging in the hall.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, and I think we needed a little bit more
for that. Okay, So we did all that and then right,
I'm like, and then I my wife was doing something,
so I after these he feels a little bit better.
So I went in the room with the man cave
with him and I was holding him. We watching some
(03:30):
of the game together, and I was telling him if
they win, if they win, you may never see this again.
I'm just letting you know that. Like you guys don't
understand the Knicks. I mean you do understand. You guys
are padres fans. I don't mean that negative way. They
have won the title, but like I've never seen the
next one title. I never thought in my lifetime I
see the next one title because they're so bad. I mean,
everything bad that can happen to a franchise happens to
(03:53):
the Knicks. Like Steph Curry got drafted a year before
they were Uh, Reggie Miller scored six points in three seconds,
Like there's Phil Jackson was a disaster with them, Isaiah Thomas,
Like the list goes on and on and on. But
how much of a disaster that Knicks are And they're
the only team in New York that unite everyone because
there's really only you know, the Nets. Nobody really cares
because they were in Jersey, so like everyone's a Nick fan, right,
(04:15):
you know.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
And it's a basketball town. Yeah, you can in the
middle of love basketball in New York.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, so so he watches a little bit of like
we watched a little bit of the game together.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Who's his favorite big how they're the same size.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, he's a big brunson guy. How could he not?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
You know? I thought maybe you know, but but still
brunts the guy.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, forty five and game and game final. Yeah, he's
his guy. So he he he's We're watching. We're like
five minutes in and neither team can score, and we
start getting the eye rub. Yeah, he's got to make
it through. He didn't. He didn't, and so I give
him my wife she puts him down. Watch the game.
(05:01):
Knicks are down fourteen again because of the first half.
They just can't score. They come back and I they
win and I put I put I they were it was,
they were up like two, I think. So I put
my phone on to record myself celebrating if they won,
because I'd never done that before. I've seen my team
win two Super Bowls, I've seen the Giant the Yankees
(05:22):
win a World Series, multiple World series, but I've never
recorded my reaction to it. So just to be clear too,
Like I'm a I'm a a I've been a Knicks
fan my whole life. I'm a big Knicks fan. I know,
I haven't talked about it a lot because they've been
so bad, but this would this would be another level
if the Giants ever won a Super Bowl again, because
people were like, oh, you're your reaction seemed a little
(05:42):
uh subdued. People were telling me about my video online,
and it was like, well, I was. I didn't want
to wake up my baby. And also, if it was
the Giants, it would be another I'd be like the
parades on Thursday. I would try to go to the parade,
like if it was the Giants, like you can't miss
stuff like that. But but but dude.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I saw the video.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Now, granted I never have my sound on on social media,
so I didn't hear it. I just saw it. Never
have your sound, like I watched yourself. I watch everything
with no sound.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Do you get curious at some point? Uh?
Speaker 5 (06:14):
Not really because a lot of things have subtitles. Yeah, So,
but like.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
What did people want you to do? Like punch a wall?
I don't know, they win the championship.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
I was pretty excited, jumping, He's screaming.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
It was it was it was just it's a spin
move you did. It's just a surreal moment. Like like
people were like, is this like if the Potters with
a World Series? And I said no, I'd say it's
more like the Cubs wining the World Series because because
it has been they've just been so long, they're a
ton of bad luck. Like it's just like and just
(06:49):
terribly run for years. Uh, and it's just surreal. I
couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe the Nicks one championship.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
I understood your reaction because your baby.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Was asleep, my wife. So so I mean hits the
second free throw, which gives a four point lead. So
now the games the game's pretty much over with three
seconds left. You just got to run out the clock.
So my wife looks at me as the spurs around
a time out and goes, remember we have a sleeping baby.
Remember we have.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
It over and over again. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
So I'm jumping up and down. I hug her, I
call my dad. I'm like, just I can't believe it.
Like and also, no, I haven't seen any of my
teams win a title. And I know this sounds like
a douchey statement because Saton Potters fans have never seen
a team win a title. And I don't mean that,
but I'm just saying, you know, and in fifteen years,
it's been a long time since it's and I grew
(07:41):
up watching my teams win titles, so like it's crazy
and uh, and I there may have been tears.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Oh likes actual cry tears at what point, like when
you're on the their dads like.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Crying.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
I can't believe. I was a really big Knick fan
in the nineties and early two thousands and and mid
two thousands, and then kind of stopped because they were
so bad. And I started thinking about, like growing up.
My dad always tells me about the eighty six Super
Bowl and the ninety Super Bowl. I was in the
eighty sixth super Bowl. I was a month old and
he was holding me and he always has a story
that I started crying and he's like, tells, my mom,
(08:16):
cat take him right, my mom. And then and so I,
you know, I don't remember that obviously, So like the
fact that like it was just thinking about my son
and thinking about the fact that I get to tell
my son the rest of his life he got to
watch it with me, and like he was there and
I got to tell him the story of it. It
made me start to cry. And then I took a
picture with my Knick shirt on with him while he
(08:38):
was sleeping, and I'm gonna frame it and give it
to him one day. Oh that he got to see
his first Knicks title.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
What what if all of a sudden he goes, you
know what, Dad, I think I'm gonna be a Celtics
fans everyone everything.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I mean, that's not gonna happen. He has no choice
in that.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
If yeh, I'm going to say, you know, if the
Padres ever won the World Series? Yeah, what do you
expect out of my girl here? I mean I would
assume you hear tears. She knew.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
It would be that, ye but I would be I
get it.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Yeah, I mean it would be the emotional wreck.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Oh yeah, I mean the Giants. I've been lucky enough
to see the Giants win to Super Bowls and they've
been a laughing stock for the last decade, if to
the point where they're eliminated from the season in October,
which sucks. So if they ever won a Super Bowl again,
I would cry. I appreciate it more now than ever,
so I can't imagine if my team had never seen
my team. I can't I can't.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Imagine still waiting special day, fingers crossed on that one.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Walker, who knows if you could do it. I immediately
ordered NBA Championship stuff.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Here we go. You're the guy that does that. That's
that's what the fans get. Well, you see my ring,
you see you know they immediately after they win whatever,
they show that commercial and I'm like, Wow, who's ever
gonna really just go that?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
So you don't even know when the when they still
do an old school on Long Island. My mom was
sending me videos of the lines around the store at
Dick Sporting Goods at one am. People go right to
Dick Sporting Goods at one am and the line was
wrapped around, already ready to go. Because I have them
ready to go.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Did they know there's the internet but you can get them.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
But you were the first to await My stuff doesn't
come till the twenty six loser. No one's gonna care,
But then no one's gonna cat.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
We've moved on. That's incredible.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, that's cool. That's cool. And just seeing seeing what
you know, he turned into it. I was seeing the
West Village video of everybody going crazy and then like
people in the streets like just acting and unified all
of New York and winging New York, New York, New
York and stuff like that, which is really cool. And
just like there's this little person that stands ont f
(10:59):
whim and everybody goes crazy. It's crazy. The video so well,
are so crazy.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Uh yeah, I I witnessed something pretty wild yesterday. I'm
sure a lot of people did. If you watched the
UFC at the White House Lawn last night.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Oh paramount plus so I didn't get to watch it.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
It was, in all honesty, one of the craziest things
I've ever seen.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Without a doubt, good and a good way.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Politics aside, it was one of the coolest things I've
ever seen. It's like surreal what I witnessed. It was
like seeing it, right, you don't understand like I've I thought,
you know, I saw the images of how it was
going to look and everything, and they added outdoor fighting
event it's gonna be cool. But we've seen WrestleMania's at
(11:48):
big stadiums and things like that, and you know those
are cool, you know, I mean, it looks awesome. Or whatever.
It was nothing like this. Literally the backdrop is the
White House, and you're like, man, that's crazy. Well, what
I didn't really expect was the fighters walked out from
the White House from different rooms in the White.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
House, like the Lincoln Room.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
I'm not joking. Literally, the Oval Office. The main eventers came.
They were in the Oval Office.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I don't know. I don't know what I think about that.
It was insane. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Well, one of them was staring at the Declaration of
Independence and then walked out and then went through the
Hall of the Presidents and then out to the front
and then you know, he's right there on the balcony
and then they walked down.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
No, I didn't know the fighters did, because I saw
only the clip I saw was Dana White and President
walking out.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Yeah, they started event like that.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
I understand that that's really cool, but also it's like crazy, it's.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Like watching a movie right now I thought it was.
I cannot have any any sort of bad thing to
say about it, because if you didn't watch it, you
don't understand, like how amazing it was. I get it's
a little crazy that somebody was doing it from the
White House, but it was. It was like nothing you'll
(13:07):
ever see and I don't care, like I'm a big
UFC guy. It was the biggest celebration of America that
I've ever seen, so like, in between the fights, they
had these incredible vignettes of like our history because it
was a celebration of two fifty you know, it wasn't
just the UFC fights, it was it was insane that
(13:27):
they did these crazy flyovers they had. I mean, it
was like one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed.
If you're I mean, if you're American and have any
kind of pride in our country you had, I mean,
it was giving me chills, like seeing like you know,
they literally would show like you know, from from two
hundred and fifty years ago and how we you know,
fought to now. And it was like unol like the
(13:49):
vignettes were because some of them were like actors and
some of them were kind of AI but they were incredible.
They were. It was so well done. It was so
well well done. I have nothing critical to say about it,
not one thing because of how well done it was.
And so every fighter got to walk out with somebody
who won a medal of honor and a first responder,
(14:13):
so they they honored those guys too, and so and
and all of them loved it, like even if you
weren't even like there was some Brazilians that fought some people,
like all of them, all of them like shook their
hands and were super respectful and like. It was crazy.
It was the craziest thing I've ever seen in my
life because I was just sitting there going like what
(14:34):
the hell am I watching here? Because I mean, I'm like,
you know, when they were walking through they were literally
walking through the White.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
House, yeah, and watching a clip.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
I didn't realize it was going to be such a
long walk so you get to see all the hallways.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
It was unbelievable because I thought I thought they would
have like little setups on the side, but not allowed.
So they also had so apparently every the president has
his own band. Every president has like it's called the
President's Band or something.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Like that stupid perform no, no, like.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Their own actual life band, you know, and they perform
at different things or whatever. So they had the President's
band there doing live walkouts like whatever their song was,
and it was like their version of like whatever their
walkout was. That's insane and and so and they're they're singing,
their doing. I mean, it was crazy, guys. I'm telling you,
(15:23):
it was like the biggest spectacle I've ever seen in
my life. And it was it was I still can't
believe what I saw.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
And it was crazy. How many start to finish?
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Was there a ton of celebrities there?
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Yeah, you know, they didn't. They didn't go overboard with
the Roman reigns were there. They're probably so angry that,
like the w w E didn't do this because they mean,
it would have been even bigger probably, But I mean
it was. It was unbelievable, just the the patriotic spectacle
that it was. But it was incredible. It was incredible,
(15:56):
one of the coolest things I've ever seen. There was
not one decision really well, everybody was so hyped, you know,
and so every fight was a finish and most of
them were first rounds and so, and then the main
event was just a barn burner, like every guy wanted
to win, you know, because you come out with something
like that, you don't want to put on a boring fight.
(16:16):
And so it was. It was a madhouse. It was
a madhouse. And then the President and first lady, You're
sitting literally cage side. It was just and you would
see like, is that Marco Rubio in the audience, and
you know, yeah, that's him, and you know, it was
just bananas. It was bananas. I'm telling you, if you
can go back and watch it, if you can get
paramount plus, it's worth watching just for the spectacle because
(16:39):
it was the most insane thing I've ever watched in
my life. But pretty cool. Wow, yeah, pretty cool. And
then so they had you know, probably I don't know
what the attendance was because they built you know, like
a stands and stuff. But then there was a there's
a park that I guess is like next door. There
was like a watch party that had giant screens on.
There had to have been one hundred thousand people there. Really, Yeah,
(17:00):
you gotta see video of that because it looked like
like the NFL draft, you know how the NFL draft,
It looked like that. And just to watch the fights
outside idea. It was insane. I'm telling you, it was
the most insane thing I've ever seen in my life.
But it made me proud to be American. Thank you
very much, Thank you. I'll talk more about the actual
fights in sports durt next hour. People are not very
(17:23):
happy with Rod Stewart. Do you hear me right? You
hear me right? I guess he was supposed to perform
here in San Diego over the weekend but ended up
canceling because he was sick. Oh that's a bummer. I
hate when that happens. Or was he We're gonna see
why Rod is facing major backlash over when we get
back on the show. A rock with a five three.
(17:48):
So a lot of concerts going down this weekend. Both
you ladies went to concerts sneaking.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Emily went to the big what is called the Festival
of Festival.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Dreams, the Field of Festivals of Dreams.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
They built it?
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Did they?
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Sublime? K?
Speaker 2 (18:08):
That's crazy? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (18:10):
It was freaking amazing.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Did Jacob shut me out?
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Jacob didn't.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Ready, he didn't. I'm the one that suggested that he
should be the leads in.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
He was there, baby, everybody.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
He came in here and performed live in our studio.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Sounded great, amazing.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
He did a Sublime song and I go, dude, you
know you should be the new lead singer of Sublime.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
And he was like, He's like I never thought of that,
And the.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Next thing, you know, bam, it was all it was
all your I figured he shot me out. That's weird,
but didn't did you bring your friends slightly stupid on stage?
Speaker 4 (18:43):
I didn't get to bring them out on stage.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Everyone tells me they're friends with these guys and anyone
that's from San Diego. What Emily's actually friends with them?
You would think they would ask you once, you think
they would ask radio.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
You're a massive select.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Yeah, thank you for saying that.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
I'm gonna we gotta get that done.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
That's over.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
That happened, shows over, shows over the next field. I
can't believe I packed it was. It was great. That's
a good time.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
I didn't bring up pepper.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
I didn't bring up pepper and.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Bring up pepper salt. That's been too faro. That's going
to joke. And Sky went to a concert.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Yeah, I don't know about this.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
I heard some rumbling, but I wasn't really sure.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Because I missed when it was. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:33):
So, uh, the San Diego County Fair. You know they
have a big summer concert lineup. Well, what of our
Melly Michaels, No, no, no, one of our favorites Grizz
This excuse me.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
He's like a.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
DJ, but he also plays saxophone and has like other
eyes on trumpets.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Stuff come out.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Yeah, so this is our third time seeing Grizz.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
I had no idea packed. Is Grizz like a white
guys fat, buffed white guy, buffed white guy. You could
have told me anything about him, I would have I
would have believed.
Speaker 5 (20:09):
Yeah, yeah, it was. It was a great show. The
crowd was great, like it was packed. It was kind
of wild because there were a lot of ladies and
clubwear ladies. But you have to walk through the fair
to get to the cost chickens, Charlie's, get a leg, leg.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Get a leg leg fried oreo, yeah, chew, and then
out and then you push.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Yeah. Lots of lots of skin guys, lots the oldest
person there.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
No, I was not, thank you very much. I mean
I was probably the higher tiers, but not.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
The old I saw.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
I saw the picks and someone looked like they were
going to the club.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
If you somebody showing a lot of skin at.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
The fair and yeah a little uh.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Me.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Yeah she's not showing tush, No, No, she's showing you.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
She's got some she's got something going on on the top.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
But the other concert that was supposed to happen was
this on Friday, right, Yes, uh Rod Stewart almost as
cool as Sublime and slightly stupid. Yeah, Rod Stewart is
supposed to play. Was the tool of Stampathy. Yes, Okay,
So Rod Stewart was playing and it was supposed to
be a big deal but apparently didn't happen.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
No, And it was one of those things because I
actually saw this on social media Friday night, because it
was one of those things where literally they canceled an
hour before the show was.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Supposed to start, so people already there.
Speaker 5 (21:45):
People were already in the venue. Yeah, like people driving tailgate. Yeah,
Like it was crazy, so people not.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Yeah, I have a little poky buwl right there. Manly.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
I feel like Emily, your mom would be a would
tell you for Rod Stewart, are you insane?
Speaker 3 (22:06):
She would have like a card table that she'd pull
out of her truck. She wasn't, but like she would
do this.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
So just an hour before the show, they get word
that unfortunately Rod Stewart is suffering from quote an acute
upper respiratory infection that has resulted in larringitis, and she's
very sad to cancel. So all the post wars that
(22:39):
I was seeing is people bummed but also sending well
wishes to Rod Stewart because they felt bad that he
was so sick that he couldn't perform.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Yeah, well that quickly changed because Rod decides to take
to social media and post what he was doing the
next day, which was heading to the World Cup in
Boston in his private jet, and then didn't really sound
like he had anything wrong with his voice.
Speaker 7 (23:11):
Here we are flying off to Boston, see Scotland and
the World Cup. It's been twenty eight years. So these kids,
I've told him about it, but they've never been. I've
been the seven World Cups, so this will be I've
been too large. I've been in Germany, in France, Italy,
Mexico have loads of them as six.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
This is the seventh. So we wanted to get through to.
Speaker 7 (23:36):
The next round of our die happy man.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
That would be great. So no, oh, actually sounds like
he's yelling. Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Don't know.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
What's going on here.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
Yes, yes, So he did issue a statement saying he's
been through treatment.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
In one day and he's fling much better.
Speaker 5 (24:00):
But he's very disappointed and apologizes for the inconvenience.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
He was also photographed at the match once he got
to Boston drinking celebrate.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
You gotta get your fluids in.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
Yeah, well no, I think I'm cocktails, cocktails, celebrating, cheering.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
It could have been honeywater, lemon water or something.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Yeah, I just it's so shocking because like he what
is he like almost eighty?
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Yeah, so like.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
The fact that anyone would want to go see you
at that age perform and pay for it, you think
you should be thanks to be so thankful. Yes, I
get that he's a big deal at one point, but like,
I mean, he's almost eighty now, so.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I had some respects on Maggie May. Okay, it's a
great song, great, but now screw you. Rod Stewart. Yeah,
that's awful. He honestly, it's awful. Yeah. Bad. We have
heard of high school teams getting a championship taken away
after the fact for interesting reasons before usually some sort
of cheating or some like that. While we're going to
(25:01):
hear why one high school team had to forfeit their
title for a very odd reason. Coming up next on
the show on Rock with All five to three. So
we'll hear stories about this happening from time to time,
like high school teams will either you know, loseer championship
or not be able to play in the championship for
like wild reasons, like sometimes there'll be a twenty eight
(25:23):
year old kid on the team. You're like, wait, non, noah,
how did that happen? Or some you know weird stuff
you know usually involves cheating. Well, this is very different.
This happened to a Massachusetts high school lacrosse team and
people are confused about why they were not able to
play for the championship.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
Yeah, they had to forfeit because six of their senior
players were told you will not be able to play
in this game. And that's when they're like, well, if
we don't have these six guys, like, we literally can't
play the game. And it was for these state playoffs.
And it turns out the reason that they had to
(26:05):
forfeit is because a six seniors posted a photo on
social media celebrating graduation smoking cigars.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Now, I don't know if.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
This is like an East Coast thing or not, but
a lot of my families in New York and one
of my cousins. Her son just graduated, same thing, smoking
a cigar with all.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
His buddy It's like a cool thing to do. Like
remember when Joe Burrow won the last championship and it
was him smoking a cigar. Like now, if you win
things and win champion, all the Knicks players are smoking
cigars if they won the championship. Okay, that's the thing
you do.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
So it's a cool thing.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
I thought, so like you always did when the you know,
you have a new baby back in the fifties or sixties,
then the dad lights up a cigar.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
But high school kids doing it is what I am now.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Seeing all these athletes do it in college and stuff.
Now it's cool. And I remember, I don't know. We
used to we'd buy we'd buy cigars because we'd rolled blunts.
What crazy, But you had to be eighteen to buy cigars,
so that was the thing. But we found this excellon place,
so it's right. So but I didn't think still it's
(27:15):
a cigar. It's not because you're not really inhaling a cigar,
So I don't what's the big deal.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
It turns out that the state has a rule that
says student athletes are banned from using tobacco. And if
they are caught using tobacco, then they are, you know,
banned from participating in team events.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
What a wild rule. Yeah, that's so odd. You know,
obviously it's not good. Yeah, but I didn't think you'd
be banned.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
For Yeah, why you don't know anyone? That's if it's
a cigarette, I guess.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
But even then, I'm like, who cares? Ye yourself. You're
supposed to set an example. It's illegal.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
I understand what you're saying, but I could just wrap
my mind more around a cigarette than a cigar.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Yeah, cigar, I don't. I mean, I don't have a
problem with it. I mean I think it's dumb.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
Yeah, but that's the rule, and the rule is the rule.
And once the principal saw the photo.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Sorry for questioning, I'm just saying we think it's dumb
or not.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
That's what you're just holding the athletes to a higher
standard of course.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
Yeah, because if you're just a regular senior and you
post that picture, no one's going to care. But if
you still have a game coming up.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
You know you act that way. But there was a
rule for Donna Martin as well, and she slipped up
had a little too much to drink.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
She had a couple of.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
Glasses, like one glass of champagne. Somehow got that drunk.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Graduate and you threw a fit.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Did you show up to the school board meeting?
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Absolutely, Yeah. We had signs and we were chanting Donna
Martin graduates and who was the leader of this whole thing, Brandon? Yeah,
and they walked out of there like they really accomplished something.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Great job.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
Oh wait, Dylan, were there here? You don't even go
to the school anymore.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
No, I graduated like ten years ago. It's really weird
that you hang out there though. So okay, why do
you look like you're forty.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
Five, Dylan, because I am Why do people make pickets signed?
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Protesting? Bro Oh, I'm right right, Dylan, you were there? Wow?
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Oh no, no.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
So anyway, so this lacrosse team they got a four
fifth estate playoffs. Everybody's mad, and especially the parents of
these six boys. They are not happy at.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
All, and at the kids for being idiots and posting
pictures and doing that.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
No, they're not happy at the school and they the rules.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
The rule they posted photos.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Right, Well, no, they're telling the school. You guys got
it all wrong.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
See, they wanted to do this photo, but they knew
tobacco was a bad thing.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
So what they did is they went out.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
And bought these fake cigars that it's actually has like
herbs and teas and stuff, and so there was no tobacco.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Involved at all.
Speaker 5 (30:08):
And Dad tells the school, well, we can prove it
to you. We actually have the receipt from when they
purchased these non tobacco cigars. So Dad gives the receipt
to the principle and that's when the principal notices the
date and time part on the receipt.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
It's like so smudged you can't really read it, and
he goes, nope, this is they purchased it for this photo.
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Well, the principal decides, I'm going to do a little
investigation and I'm going to go to the store and
see if they can reprint this receipt for me. And
that is when they reprint the receipt for the fake cigars,
which were purchased twenty minutes after the families were notified
(30:53):
of the violation and that the game had been canceled.
So the parents were caught trying to lie on their
children's behalf. After the kids broke the rules, turns out
they ended up having to forfeit the game.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Yeah, I think to start to finish, they all kind
of sound like idiots, Yes, I guess, but not good.
Not good, but pretty crazy. I didn't know cigars were
so bad. He just had no idea. I had something
happen in my health journey, the journey I did not
see coming, to be honest with you, but I tell
(31:29):
you what happened with this health journey that was actually
not cool.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
I guess when we get back.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
On the show, I'll rock with a five three. So
I've been telling you guys, been on a little bit
of a health journey yere ye six months in feeling.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Some say looking great?
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Something you do look great?
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Did that hit anybody else? What is it like?
Speaker 5 (31:58):
It's a it's a nice thing at a compliment, but
it just it sounds.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
The total looks fantastic. Look at him. I have eyes.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
I just you know, I just I have a problem.
The word journey triggers me.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
That's all triggers me.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
What would you like me to call it?
Speaker 4 (32:16):
M I'm not sure.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
I'll have to get back to you on that one,
but we can figure something else out.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
It was in January I decided, you know, I don't
want to do resolutions or anything like that, so I
decided to take this leap and go on a diet
and you know, change all my ways and all that stuff.
And here we are, you know later. I mean, what
would you call that? I mean, to me, that's a journey.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
I guess you're right.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
It's just you know how when you start talking about
him and you refer to your mentor over here.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Well, it's thanks to him that I'm here.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
That you're here. You saved your life, save.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
His baby's life, and my life. Waits threw up.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Well, my baby choked on an ice popsicle and I
had to give him the hime one.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
You're the one that gave him a little piece of popsicle.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Yeah, but luckily I was there and I was able
to put him on his stomach.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
And anytime I go to eat something bad, he does
the same thing to me.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
Yeah, when you're choking.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Whatever, put a donut in my mouth, he slaps.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
And then I make him look at a donut with
a pickure with a picture of Hitler on it.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
This weird association but you know, this is what my
mentor the weird part of the journey. So I have
I don't know if I've hit a little bit of
a plateau because I'm not I didn't lose weight this week,
but I mean, I I.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Don't want to lose too much. But you don't have
me skinning bones.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
You're right, You're right. You know I've always been younger, guy, Eddie.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Do you have a goal? We didn't.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
I didn't. I did. My goal was to not die.
It's a goal, you know, and to change my like
health numbers, which I did. That's all I cared about.
Losing weight was never I never really considered it. Okay,
yeah no, but they just came with it, you know, obviously.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
So I had a goal weight. I'm one to eighty
five is my goal weight. I was two thirteen and
I'm doing waite Thai. Now I'm eating better and people
have said I have a lot of my buddies tell
me that it looks I'm too skinny and I've lost
my muscle, which is nice? Which is it nice?
Speaker 1 (34:21):
I disagree?
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Thank you? But I have a goal weight five. Yeah,
So have you set a goal weight?
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Now? I didn't think about it. So I started in
the beginning of the year at two fifteen. Wow, I
right now, way who wow, skinny bitch, that's a lot.
It's weird. It's weird.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
But yeah, you're like, you're like, wem Banyana, you're that skinny.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Who Victor Yam? What is it web yam?
Speaker 2 (34:52):
Whatever? He's a plus okay.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
So, yes, health journey has been wild something that you know.
I again when I got really heavy at one point
in my life and then dropped a bunch of weight
and it was all through it again, diet and stuff
like that. So if I do eat rite and eat
better and things like that, weight does come off me,
which is weird.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Crazy. Everybody like that.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Yeah, honestly, they're like, but it's it's helped. And so
things have been going great. I'm very happy with the results.
Nice Okay. People when they see me, you haven't seen
me in a while. There, it's noticeable. I don't think
about it because I see myself every day. But if
somebody hasn't seen me and say, you know, since the
beginning of the year, they go, oh, wow, wait, you
look great. She she had some nice things.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
To say, texted me that she's really sorry she didn't
get to see, Uh, tell Eddie how great he looks,
and she's so impressed and he looks great, and I
was like, hey, he's married, chill out. Wow.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Really again, this was all thanks to you too, you know,
so you should have said, hey, you should be thinking me, Oh,
it's just weird, you know.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, we have when we have comedians come in here
that you've known for years that haven't seen you in
a while, there the same reaction.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Which is nice.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
And Eddie.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
If Eddie were to say, you know, this weekend that
he had McDonald's and he just decided to indulge a
little bit, Emily's go oh yeah, would be so excited.
She wants people to fail, wants to fail. Happy for us,
fast fast.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
So I did have something happen recently that I didn't
really see coming. I guess I should have seen it coming,
but I didn't really see it come coming. I ran
into a person that I haven't seen in a while,
so I wouldn't say we're friends. Were more like acquaintances
in the baseball world, and so I just haven't seen
him in a really long time and ran into him
(36:43):
last week and he made a comment to me that
kind of shocked me. And then it happened again with
another person. So the first time I ran into this
guy and we're talking and he goes, man, you've lost
a lot of weight on and I go, yeah, you know,
it's sort of told him and I you know, he goes, oh,
so what do you want to Are you on ozempic
(37:04):
the zem that hasn't even come up. I haven't thought
about that really, no, because I mean it's the furthest
thing from it where if it's just a diet change
and all that stuff, I wasn't really thinking about it.
And I I didn't know how to take that wow,
because I was like, no, I felt offended. You can
(37:27):
do whatever you want. I don't have a problem anybody using.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
I know it's like taboo for some reason. It is,
but it shouldn't be. It's everywhere.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Well because it's not really a weight it's not supposed
to be for a weight loss drug. It's supposed to
be for other things. But whatever.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
Like remember when I'm onlye dating for a started with
Tinder and nobody wanted to say they met on Tinder like.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
People would meet and the started with match.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Okay, but you know what I mean, nobody wanted to
say they met on Tinder, and now now no one cares.
I think that's this is very similar. Nobody wants to
say they lose Wade on ozempic. Who cares?
Speaker 1 (37:59):
I don't. I don't have a problem with it. But
if I'm not on it, and I've actually had to
do a lot of hard work to get where I'm
at right now, now I'm offended. So it's not I'm
not offended that you that I would have used those
empic or anything like that, but I didn't. So like,
you got to give me my prompts. So you know,
I respond to I go no, I go no, I've
(38:21):
I've changed my diet. I had to go to all
the things that I've done, and you know, and and
and he kind of looked at me like, okay.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Wait what I'm not.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
So I was kind of like offended and kind of hurt.
But I'm like whatever, I'm I don't really know this guy.
So if you want to think that, sure, I guess,
but it kind of discredits all the hard work that
I did, and so I'm like, all right, whatever. So
then the other day, we remember when we were having
the big sales thing, in here. You know, we had
a big sales thing in here, and I was in
talking with our boss and we're chatting it up, and
(38:55):
she was, you know, talking to me about losing weight
and stuff like that. When another one of these sales
guys comes in and he overhears us talking and he goes, oh, yeah, yeah,
I've seen you lost a lot of weight. What are
you on the jab? I think you guys can figure
out who I'm talking about. Who said that?
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Of course the jab?
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Are you on the jab?
Speaker 2 (39:13):
The jab is a weird thing to say, because usually
the jab is for vaccines.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Right, Yeah, that's yeah, I think any shot now, I guess,
I guess uh? And I looked at it and go, no, defensive,
what are we doing here?
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Now?
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Everybody's going to just assume that I'm on this really?
Oh yeah, that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Anybody that loses a ton of weight, that's what this was.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
It.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
I didn't lose it in a month. I mean, this
has been six months.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
I wouldn't be shocked to hear that Emily is spreading
this rumor. I wouldn't sit here that everyone's people go
to Emily, Hey, can you believe that? Eddie and She's like,
it's probably on zimpic.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
Not probably, She goes, he is, he doesn't want to
anyone know, but tell him he got the jab.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
He got the jab.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
We're really close, I was.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
I'm not it's true, and I don't know how at least,
like he tells me it's in pill form now, in
pill form.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Hell, And I'm not about you.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
Guys, but I feel I feel I don't know.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
I feel it's kind of rude to ask it is.
Speaker 5 (40:18):
I feel you can ask somebody like, hey, how do
you do it?
Speaker 1 (40:22):
And I it's up to them. Like my mom's husband,
he oh, your new dad? Is that who you're referring?
Speaker 2 (40:31):
So you get the jab.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
So I saw him on Mothers Day and he had
lost a ton of weight, and I wonder, why.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
So weird the trust? You get that cash money?
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Shut up?
Speaker 5 (40:51):
And I knew that he had been having issues with
his diabetes.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
But even knowing shut even know he.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Has even knowing he has diabetes, and seeing he's lost
so much weight, I still felt uncomfortable asking. And so
I said, oh, looking good, you know, what have you
been doing?
Speaker 2 (41:16):
You do at the same time, and that's.
Speaker 5 (41:19):
When he told me, Actually, my doctor said this would
be good for my diabetes, and so they put me
on this and it turns out I'm now losing all
this weight on top of it.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
But I I didn't. I didn't. I'm not like that.
I'm not a Brady child. I'm an adult woman.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
Okay, uh and so but yeah, but even though in
my head I knew it, and even in my head
I knew what had to do with his diabetes, I
still didn't him.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
I'm not really okay.
Speaker 5 (41:50):
I still didn't feel comfortable asking. That's why I am
shocked that two people just came up there.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
I guess so direct with you makes me feel does
everybody think that?
Speaker 5 (41:59):
Well?
Speaker 2 (41:59):
Also, also, it's not like if you lose weight you're
like looked at as like a cheater. It's like bad
to lose weight here.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
What I mean? You can do whatever you want. It's like,
but shouldn't I get a pound on the back?
Speaker 3 (42:10):
Though you should, but you should know that the people
like walking around will probably think that just the way.
Speaker 5 (42:17):
Like, if you lose like five pounds, people may not
think it, but if you've lost as much weight as
you've lost, everybody's thinking it.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Sorry, sorry you see here? Yeah? Yeah, Well I'm just
gonna go back and don't screw you guys. Whatever wants to,
don't do it. Another huge weekend in sports, you guys,
We're gonna go over the championship games and what went
(42:46):
down with the Padres in Baltimore. Next in Sports Dirt, Well,
the Padres have been pretty banged up recently with some
odd injuries have been happening all over the place, but
the replacements are really making the most of their time now.
Freddie Forman he was the latest who went down after
(43:09):
he got a concussion from an errant throw by Yuki
Matt Suey while warming up on Saturday. I've literally never
heard of this happening ever in baseball. Yeah, I mean
he's literally warming up. He spiked the ball, the ball
hit the ground and then went straight up and hit
him like under the mask, and it gave him a
(43:30):
concussions and so he's going to be out for a
little while. So his backup Roalduffo Darran got the start
yesterday and he got the Padres on the board first
against the Orioles with a double in the second inning.
Then he had the big blow with a two run
home run in these seventh to lead the Padres to
a five to two win over the Orioles and win
(43:53):
the series.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
So yeah, I mean it's just kind of fun seeing
these young guys out there playing. Yeah, Like my, I
SA Taylor, see him.
Speaker 4 (44:02):
Do something great. I'm thinking of you.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
He's a stud, he's a love. Yeah, he's like my
favorite player right now. It's been so fun to watch.
But they're they're they're young, so they're bringing energy to
the team and then that's firing up the other guys
and it's just been it's just been fun to watch.
Speaker 4 (44:16):
So how Xander Bogart's I know that he got him Saturday.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Right somehow? He played Yeah, I mean looked a million times.
He took a ninety five mile per hour fastball in
the head. Yeah, which caused, you know, some tension between
the two teams because then we drilled their guy and
then the manager, our manager got thrown out. I mean
it was crazy he got I thought it was going
to get even worse, you know, a little basis clear
(44:41):
and stuff. But cooler heads prevailed at But but Xander
was okay. He left the game that game, but then
he played yesterday, so I guess he's okay. He got
picked off at first yesterday he looked dizzy.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Well it is not great.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Well, it's weird too, this concession thing because you got
Freddy who went down with a weird ball. Jake's been
out for like two months with a concussion. Meanwhile Xander
gets drilled in the head and he's fine. Yeah, I'm like,
what is going get all concussions are different and stuff
like that. But it's just odd, not about Jake. I
(45:17):
don't know if they're still on the concussion lists. Weird.
The New York Knicks are the NBA champions. They came
from behind again in Game five on Saturday to beat
the Spurs ninety four to ninety Jalen Brunson scored forty
five in the win and was zing the Finals MVP
once again. The Knicks, I don't know how they do it.
They were down by sixteen at one point, came back
(45:39):
to win it.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
You know, it's crazy. The Spurs all series played really
tough defense. And you know when you watch a team
in basketball where there's two minutes left, they just play
hard defense. They don't let you get up the court
and they'd make it. They make you work for it.
That's how the Spurs played in the first the second quarter,
but then they would gas themselves out and by the
fourth quarter they were spent and they'd miss free throws
and Stephan Castle, who had had a really good series
(46:01):
for them, was awful in Game five. So yeah, the
NIX why. I still can't believe it. It's surreal. I
wish I could go to the parade on Thursday. I
have a bunch of buddies that are gonna be there.
It's gonna be insane. The videos online are hysterical. It's
so cool, man. It made me like I was watching it.
I talked about this earlier at six am. It's cool
that I got to see with my son. It made
(46:22):
me miss New York and I was like, proud to
be a New Yorker. You can before you are.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Okay, why don't you have that same pride in the
US because the US did it on Friday.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
I don't care about soccer. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And
people keep dming me that soccer is the most watched
sport in the world, and I'm like, I know that,
but in this country it's not as watched as the NFL.
Just get over it and stop dming me that I've
seen the meme I've got. I'm not kidding you. I've
gotten like thirty dms of this as if they got me.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
Listen, listen. It was unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:59):
On Friday, as the United States came out of the
gate hot in their World Cup opener with a massive
four to one, thrashing about Aguay. Four to one is
literally like winning like fifty to ten in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
I mean, it's crazy, I eddie, it's on nonsense, Like
I feel like it's on NonStop great soccer right now,
so fun and I get if people like it, but
like I've tried. I sat down, I watched you watched it.
I washed like five minutes, locked in Like I don't
get it, dude, I'm sorry, Like it is beyond boring.
Oh I'm sorry. Watch not like hockey though, Like hockey
(47:36):
is crazy. You're back and forth, like it just non stop.
Actually bigger, the fields so much bigger, and there's some
I don't know the rules. Maybe that's why. But man,
I tried, you know what soccer is kidding? No, No,
I tried. I swear, I swear I tried.
Speaker 1 (47:52):
I could have been more proud of the boys, amazing.
What did they play again Friday? Friday Australia. It's gonna
be a good match. Yeah, well there's all these other
games going on right now and then their next game.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
So how many I mean, I don't know how many
games do they play in this?
Speaker 1 (48:11):
They play everybody in their their little division to pool. Ya,
so four games or three games total? Four teams total?
Speaker 2 (48:18):
So yeah, okay, it is bothering me. Like what Eddie
celebrity that they can think of is there?
Speaker 1 (48:24):
Oh? It was wild Tom Cruise broke.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
They got to be getting paid. It's massive. They got
to be And like why, I know you don't like it,
but you understand other people Like why do the stadiums
have to cover their loco their the name of the stadium?
Have you seen that? Like every stadium, Like if it's
Gillette Stadium or MetLife Stadium, they have to put something
over it so it doesn't say the name of the stadium.
(48:49):
The FIFA made them do that? What that about? Does
anybody know that?
Speaker 1 (48:52):
It's weird? The Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in
Game six over the Golden Knights three and to nothing yesterday.
It's their first championship in twenty years in existence.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
The coach of the Golden Knights is a massive deep bag.
So I'm really John Tordrealla. I can't stand him. So
I'm so glad the car he's just treats the media
like crap. After they won, he refused to talk to
the media and it's just like, you're the coach and
the NHL like find him. But it was crazy. So
I'm so glad they lost him. Oh wow, I'm pro media,
(49:31):
look at this guy.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
Last night, history was made as the UFC held the
first ever sporting event on the White House Lawn. I
was an insane thing to watch. I mean, it really
was a spectacle. Every fight ended in a finish. There
was seven fights. I mean, these guys were ready to go.
The co main event saw heavyweight Cyril Gone knockout Alex
Pereira to win the interim title, and then in the
(49:56):
main event, American lightweight Justin Gaegee. He pulled it off
massive upset, defeating reigning champion Iliatpuria uh in the where
Tapuria could not answer the bell after the fourth round.
The corner called it. They like he's done. That's it,
And so I'm an American won the main event on
(50:17):
the White House Lawn. Oh wow, it was unbelievable. It
was unbelievable. What a night sports start is brought to
you by Bill Howe Publishing, Heating and Air, Restoration and Flood,
public Gate, public plumbing, heating in air, I should say
restoration in flud. No, they got it into a little
publishing these days. Yeah, check it out at bill hell
dot com sky And it's unbelievable. You know, there are
(50:41):
laws about disclosures when you sell your house, right, you
know there's all these disclosures, Like if somebody was like
killed in your house, I think you have to disclosure. Uh, well,
we are going to see why one guy who bought
a house is suing the former owner for not disclosing something.
Come out next on the show five three. So, if
(51:02):
you sell your house, there are these things called disclosures
that you have to do. So you have to say,
if you know something's happened in the house or to
the house or whatever, you're supposed to disclose it, right, Yeah,
And so that can range from all kinds of different stuff. Well,
there is somebody who is suing some former owners of
(51:22):
a house that they bought because they're upset with something
specific they didn't disclose. Now, I've never heard of this.
I didn't think you had to disclose this, but apparently
this guy's pretty upset about it.
Speaker 5 (51:35):
Yeah, because disclosures can range from a lot of things
like was there recently a leak in the house where
they found mold? Do you live in a flight path?
Is there a busy road that you hear the road noise?
And this is going on.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
To be murdered in the house. Oh that's a big one.
Speaker 5 (51:53):
Yeah, Well this is going on in Minneapolis, where their
laws specifically say that you have to disclose if there's
anything that would quote significantly affect an ordinary buyer's use
and enjoyment of the property.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
What would that jail? I don't know. It's very vague. Yeah,
but it seems like that could cover a lot of things,
because what if I get in there and go, you
know what, after thinking about it, I don't like the view? Yeah,
well I'm sorry, I mean the view? Yeah, Like what
do you mean? Uh? Yeah, use an enjoyment.
Speaker 5 (52:28):
So I would think that would kind of be the things,
like I said, like.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
A flight path or a super busy road or.
Speaker 4 (52:35):
A busy road you saw the house.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
I mean, you've been to the location.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
Right, right, But they have to put it in the discussion.
This is too vague.
Speaker 5 (52:45):
So anyway, so this guy buys the house a couple
of years back because as far as he knew, the
people just were moving, just a regular typical move and so, okay, great,
tell in the house.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
I'm buying the house.
Speaker 5 (52:59):
Well, he moved in and immediately starts having issues with
the neighbor. Like the neighbor kind of sounds a little
bit off his.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
Rocker to the sky situation.
Speaker 1 (53:12):
Did you imagine, I can't.
Speaker 2 (53:15):
She grows these hedges out of control. You're just there,
your whole life with this ocean of view that's gone. Now.
Her dogs won't stop barking. They're always doing constructions.
Speaker 4 (53:27):
Weird stuff that goes on in the jacuzzi.
Speaker 1 (53:29):
Yeah, they have put the hedges in.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
They have a storage pod in the driveway.
Speaker 1 (53:33):
For years, seems like the guy never leaves the house. Yeah,
like the woman who leaves, but then I never see
the guy.
Speaker 2 (53:40):
They built an adu that took thirty years, and there
was always parties there.
Speaker 1 (53:45):
There's no parties there. We never have people over. You
guys know that. But anyway, so this guy in my yard.
Speaker 6 (53:52):
Okay, this guy moves in and immediately knows something's off
with this neighbor, to the point where guys just outside
doing normal stuff in his yard and the neighbor is
like harassing him, yelling things at.
Speaker 5 (54:06):
Him, to the point where after this guy lived there
for one year, he had to call nine one, one
thirty eight different times because he felt threatened by this neighbor.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
Excuse me.
Speaker 5 (54:20):
And it finally came to a head when this guy
was in his front yard trimming his own tree and
the neighbor came out with a gun.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
And shot him. Okay, wait a minute.
Speaker 5 (54:32):
So of course the guy gets arrested, taken to court,
to the point where the judge found the guy not competent,
competent to stand trial because he's so whack a doodle.
I believe that's what judge said. And so the guy's like,
how could the previous owners not know this and not
(54:55):
disclose this, because clearly this affects my enjoyment of the
pro property if the neighbor is psycho.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
So he does exactly.
Speaker 5 (55:05):
So, he does a little bit of digging and find
out that the previous owners were well aware and even
had a restraining order filed against this guy. So it's
now making news because this is a very uncommon lawsuit
and lots of people are should they have legally had
(55:26):
to tell him or not that the neighbor's a psycho.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
You always ask for you're looking for a house, how
are the neighbors? And then they always tell you how great.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
Everybody's right.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
So if they said that, that's or if he didn't ask, Yeah,
if he didn't ask.
Speaker 1 (55:42):
But it says that they have to disclose my neighbor's
a jerk, Well, will it affect your use and enjoyment
of what if I just don't get along with him,
you might have been able to get.
Speaker 2 (55:52):
Along with him.
Speaker 4 (55:53):
I have to discribe you to well.
Speaker 5 (55:57):
I think there's a difference between knowing somebody's a psycho
and like screaming and yelling and harassing you for it.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
It may just do that to me. I don't know
that he's going to do that to you, But what
if he also does that to other neighbors. I don't know.
I don't know. I don't know. I mean I can
play dumb. Yeah, okay, that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
If I if you ever go to buy Sky's neighbor's house.
You think the disclosures will say something like crazy. There's
this crazy lady always calls you, bro't gross hedges.
Speaker 1 (56:23):
To the neighborhood, looking at other people is interesting.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
Has always calls the city about things.
Speaker 1 (56:31):
Help I'm trying. She'll she'll turn you in for something,
but then does way worse things. Great, that's awful.
Speaker 2 (56:38):
There's always projects, bro, all right.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
We just like to better the disclosures because I am
moving anywhere near that. Always talking about Oregon like there,
oh sorry, stop it, all right, ah, It is time
for everybody's favorite drinking game, Bombed at the Beach. Call
if you want to play along? Eight, five or eight.
(57:04):
What's our phone number? Aage five eight seven eight five
eight seven seven.
Speaker 2 (57:12):
I'm gonna go with that one.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
I'm gonna go with that one five three If you
would like to play along, we'll play Bombed at the
Beach when we get back on the show. I'll rock
with a five three all right. I like that we
play this on Monday because usually it's after the weekend.
People get after it. It's a good time. You know,
It's time to play everybody's favorite drinking game. It's time
(57:34):
four bombed at the Beach.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
And now it's time for Bombed at the Beach.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
All right, here we go Bombed at the Beach. Cannot wait,
Emily as you got for this weekend and to the concert.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
Yeah, Saturday, a little bit not My son was with me,
so it was a little bit. It's not as not
as crazy as you A little bit of a buzz skill.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Thank you for.
Speaker 3 (57:57):
Saying that did rest up yesterday, So I'm.
Speaker 1 (58:00):
Not torect you recovered.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
I'm recovered.
Speaker 1 (58:02):
Okay, good? Yeah, not like certain Mondays.
Speaker 4 (58:05):
Yeah, there's Monday Mondays.
Speaker 2 (58:06):
Now like last Monday. That's Monday was.
Speaker 1 (58:10):
Monday blended. So Bombed at the Beach is where we
send Jamie down to the different bars. He looks for
drunk people, ask them some trivia questions that are somewhat
easy that if you're sober you probably know, but drunk
who knows, And then we tried to guess whether they're
going to get the question right or wrong based on
how drunk they are. You get to play along with us.
(58:33):
You get to pick which show member you want to
play for you. We got a hot prize, not want
two prizes on the Ryan for Bombed at the Beach. Yeah,
if the show member wins for you, you're going to
win a pair of tickets to see comedian Andrew Santino
on June twenty eighth at the Fair. Andrew Centino used
to come in here all the time, no more.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
But we got podcasts. Took off a little bit now deal. Yeah,
it's weird.
Speaker 1 (58:59):
And it gets to see Andrew dice Clay July first
at the Sound.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
I don't know, and.
Speaker 1 (59:14):
That's wild. So yes, you'll win two comedians Andrew Santino
and Andrew dice Clay tickets if you picked the right
show member to play for you. So let's pick some players. Now,
let's go with P one.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
Paula.
Speaker 1 (59:27):
Paula, you get first, picked between myself, Sky, Thor and Emily.
You're gonna pick Emily, all right, I got you? All right,
Well we'll see all right, all right, so Emily's playing
for paul Let's go to PEE one. Ryan, Ryan, you
get to choose between me, Sky and Thor. Hey, so
(59:49):
I'm going with Skiddy Eddie. Oh up, bitch, all right, Ryan,
he's been a little one. That's cool. All right, Let's
go to P one Charles. Charles, you get to pick
between Sky and thor we're going with my boy.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Let's do it, Chuck Chuck.
Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
His name is Charles.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
Did you say his name is p One? Chuck? I
mean Chuck and Charles is a similar.
Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
Okay, that means p One Mick Sky will be playing
for you.
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
Awesome?
Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
Oh six, I didn't I won last time? Mix pep
in your step? Okay, is what it is?
Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
It is what it is? You know, Okay, take it easy.
All right, let's hear the first person that Jamie went
out and talked to. Al Right, what's your name?
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
My name is b what's you do not here tonight?
We're you drinking? Having a good time for her breadday?
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:00:49):
Nice?
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
How many drinks I've got so far?
Speaker 7 (01:00:50):
Tonight?
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
We had about four beers, uh, six shots and three
mixed drinks.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Okay, what were the shots of?
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
What were the drinks?
Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
So?
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
The shots were rumplements and like Strian vodka and the
mike strings were like.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Uh vodka, Red Bull and Crimeberry vodka.
Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Okay, all right, nice?
Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
What is a baby kangaroo called?
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
How is that?
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
I even stand? I don't know, dude, good time?
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
I mean that is a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Yeah, Uh, that sounds incredible. He sounds pretty coherent drinking
that much. But whatever guy's names. V uh. The question
that Jamie asked V was what is a baby kangaroo called?
That's a joey? All right?
Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Is V gonna know that a baby kangaroo is called
a joey?
Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Hmmm?
Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Like I said, he sounds kind of coherent. I feel
out of the animal baby world. That's one of the
more common ones.
Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
I think. So did you know what? You didn't know? Really?
Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Oh, now you're changing.
Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
Care about kangaroos.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
Kangaroos should be offended by.
Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
You, not liking does need to lash out at kangaroos
because he doesn't know information.
Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Disgusted by ko? I didn't know, I don't know. I
am going to say he does not know it. Not really.
I was on the fence, So maybe I'm gonna say, no,
he doesn't know it. What do you think, Emily?
Speaker 3 (01:02:27):
I think this guy is an animal guy. I think
for some reason he's really with it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
I think he sounds like he's take seriously.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
There it is.
Speaker 3 (01:02:38):
I think that he sounds like he's going to take
this seriously. So I think he's going to get it right.
Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
Okay, what do you think? Sky Love kangaroos.
Speaker 5 (01:02:45):
Joey's were big at my house. Uh, my brother's name
is Joey. So his favorite animal growing up, of course,
was a Joey. Everybody animals they weren't real, No, they
weren't real, but all the family disturbed.
Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
Yeah, little Joey, Joey have that many stuff that sure
your brother would love that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
You're talking about this? Did your brother carry it around
in a little pouch in front? Shut up? How he's
joe like grown up? So in my world everyone knows this.
So I'm going to have faith in v and say, yes.
Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
Your world, yes he is, he is? Now all right,
what do you think I've never wanted a man to
get an answer wrong in my life more than I
want this.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Shut up.
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
So I'm praying he does not know it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
Okay, So then we're split. The ladies believe that the
is going to know a baby kangaroo is called a Joe.
Me and Thor say, no, he's not going to know it.
Let's hear how he answered, Oh Jack, Joe got that?
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Are you sure about that?
Speaker 5 (01:03:59):
That?
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Oh Jack? What?
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Oh he knew it was a name like that? Sorry, hey, sorry, sorry,
get out of here. All right, let's get to the
second question for V.
Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
What is the name of.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
The HBO series that Sidney Sweeney stars? Oh wow, what
is the name of the HBO series that Sidney Sweeney
stars in? The answer is Euphoria? Is veganna know that? Emily?
Speaker 4 (01:04:25):
I mean, V seems like he's obviously a gentleman.
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
He's a guy, he's an animal lover.
Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
He's an animal lover. Actually figured out he's not.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
But I think he's definitely a Sidney Sweeney lover, and
so he knows that.
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
But didn't she dress up like an animal in this
last Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
Yeah, a dog. I haven't seen the clips yet, heard
it've been described. I've heard walked over stated.
Speaker 1 (01:04:53):
So you say, yes, he's gonna know. What do you thinks, guy?
Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
Yeah, my husband does not watch the show, nor does
he leave the home and interact with other humans.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
But I believe even sure he's seen some clips.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
The answer he's got what they're like.
Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
Yeah, if any man has asked this question, I think
he's going to know it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
So I'm gonna say yes, all right, what do you
think The biggest Nick fan I've seen is Sidney Sweeney's incredible.
She was at the game, never saw a game before this,
she's actually four end game five. I always tell him
from New York. She was wearing a really tight Nick shirt.
They probably ran out at the team store. I tell
(01:05:34):
my wife that's her and Scooter are basically the king
of Queens of the Knicks. Yeah, I love them both.
So I'm gonna say he how does he not know this?
Of course? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
At this point, I do believe every male alive knows
this show and probably has at least seen clips of
Euphoria heard about the show. So yeah, I think he's
going to know that the show is Euphoria. So again,
the question was, what is the name of the HBO
(01:06:10):
series that Sydney Sweeney currently stars in. The answer we're
looking for is Euphoria. I wait, what the hell like?
That's studies?
Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
Is he trying to like?
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Is that funny.
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Game of Thrones?
Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
Or was different? I don't know what's up with this guy?
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
That's wild?
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
What the hell's wrong with this guy?
Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
I don't know. I don't like he's a goof goof.
Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
That's irritating. All right, let's get to the third and
final question for V.
Speaker 4 (01:06:40):
What is another word for deer meat?
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
What is another word for deer meat, which is Venison.
His name is V.
Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
You just do right?
Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
I don't know. I mean, this guy doesn't know anything.
I don't know. What do you think guys are going
to know it? Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
I'm so pissed right now, Like I have no read
on this guy. I want to say no, of course not.
But then, just in typical V fashion, he's going to
do the opposite of what I say. But I'm gonna
stick to it and say no, he's not a hunter.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
He doesn't know, not going to know it? All right?
What do you think to work?
Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Growing up? We were a deer household. We had deer
stuffed animals everywhere.
Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
Was your nickname Venison? Were you a dope?
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
Yeah? I don't think he knows it?
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
Does not know it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
I don't think he knows it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Listen, his name's V. Maybe his whole name is venison name.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
He just goes by V because it's so weird. Do
you think so? I think he knows it. I'm going
to say, yes, he gets this one correct. Wow, what
do you think, Emily?
Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
I don't know about this guy, but for some reason,
I feel like he's going to get it right.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
To Oh well, wait, he loves animals. He loves animals,
so then he wouldn't eat venison.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
That's a good point, Eddie, Okay, making no sense. He
doesn't love me. You're making anyway? Get right?
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
All right, So Emily and I believe that he is
going to know that the other word for deer meat
is venison. Sky and Thor say, no, he's not going
to know it. Let's hear how he answered, dear meat,
I can't. I almost curse. That's all right, Sky. After
(01:08:27):
round one, what are the standings? Well, unfortunately in last
place with a massive goose egg, you didn't get any
right one. V is my nemesis.
Speaker 5 (01:08:39):
Zero points for Sky, last place, No tied for second place.
We have Emily and Thor with one point each, and
right now Eddie is in first place.
Speaker 1 (01:08:49):
Thank you, V. I love him. Yes, well, we have
a whole another round to go. We're gonna play round
two of bomb at the Beach with this young lady.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Everything.
Speaker 5 (01:09:01):
Hey, this is not it's where you told me to write,
but just her legal success thing.
Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
I say, can't do the other carnival whoa Yes, that
girl will be playing Bombed at the Beach when we
get back on the show. On Rockett five to three.
All right, we are right in the middle of playing
everybody's favorite drinking game, a little bombed at the beach.
(01:09:28):
Have two prizes on the line this time, Yeah, a
couple of comedian tickets on the line. Here we have
uh tickets to see Andrew Santino at the Fair, and
then we have tickets to see Andrew Dice Clay at
the Sound. So couplees. No, that's fantastic. So that is
(01:09:52):
what is on the line after round one? Sky, what
are these standings? I'd rather not? I mean, yeah, right now,
I'm not doing so hot? You shutout? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
Yeah, well she started out so cocky I won last week.
Speaker 5 (01:10:06):
She did, say, yeah, right now, zero points in that
first round for me, last place one each. We have
Emily and Thor tied for second, and Eddie's in first
with two points.
Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
Oh well, don't worry. There's a whole another round to go. First,
where Jamie goes down the bars, look for drunk people,
ask some trivia questions. We try to figure out whether
they're going to get the question right or wrong based
on how drunk they are. So let's hear the second
person that Jamie went out and talked to all.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Right, what's your name? What you doing out here tonight?
Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
Living my best life?
Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
Yeah? It looks like I'm being her. You know you're
being her? All right? Then always be all right?
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
How many drinks have you had so far tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
Not enough?
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Okay, shut say it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
You think we could put a number to this? Yeah, heay?
Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
Too many? All right?
Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
What drinks have you had?
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
So? Fun enough? I look only to kill Keller, touch
Taylor with that tiler an. I've had a catch up
on seven espressive. I had a bar.
Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
All right. What is the name of the name Dylan
from Masters of the Universe? Dude? Oh no, is she southern?
Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
We've been doing this game for a really long time.
I've never heard somebody change their accents seven times in
the span of one clip.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
It was crazy. I'm worried about.
Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
At one point, I was like, oh, she's heavily Hispanic,
and then I'm like, no, she's Southern. Oh no, wait,
she's British, Like yeah, like there was that was insane and.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
I thought for some reason like that there was like
four different people there.
Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
No, No, that wasn't her. That was all her. And
did you hear the point when Jamie just was over it. Yeah, alright, alright,
move on, all right, I'm done with this. Check. That
might be one of the drunker people we've ever had
in this game. So I don't know how Nelly is
going to do this. I don't know if it's hot
in her or not. The question that Jamie asked Nelly
is what is the name of the main villain for
(01:12:10):
Masters of the Universe, which is Skeletor is Nelly gonna
know that? Thor?
Speaker 2 (01:12:16):
I mean there's no chance. I mean there's no chance.
There's no chance she's tammered. I doubt she's into Masters
of the Universe. I know it just came out hot
right now. I mean it's kind of hot right now.
I'm gonna say no, she does not know. Sorry, Eddie,
this is tough.
Speaker 1 (01:12:35):
It's tough a little bit for me because it's hot
right now.
Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
I mean it's it's she could have saw it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:45):
Uh, Masters in the Universe big in the eighties. I
don't think Nelly was around. But now it's hot again. Okay, Fine,
she doesn't know it.
Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
What do you think, Emily, Yeah, unless she saw it
over the weekend, then she's gonna get it wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
So she got it wrong. She could she could have,
But I think that that's opening day. I don't know
if she did.
Speaker 5 (01:13:09):
What do you think I think she may have had
a slight chance if you would have said he man,
But yeah, Masters of the Universe.
Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
Is Skeletor okay? Huge? Holy so no way? All right? Well,
none of us believe that Nelly is even know her
own name, let alone Skeletor is the main verse villain
from Masters of the Universe. Let's hear what she answered.
Speaker 2 (01:13:32):
Chris.
Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
Chris Prott. I think she was yelling Chris pro heard Chrispin.
Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
You heard Chris Pratt.
Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
I think she said Chris Pratt, okay is.
Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
The main villain of Masters of the Universe.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
I don't think that's correct.
Speaker 1 (01:13:47):
I don't think that's correct. All right, Well, this is
going to give you rough here. All right, Let's hear
the second question that Jamie asked Nelly. Animals will only
eat plants are called? What animal who only eat plants
are called? Herbivores? Is Nellie gonna know that? I mean herbifore?
(01:14:09):
Like we're not gonna accept vegan, right, I mean, you're
gonna you have to say herbivore vegetarian?
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
No her before.
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
If she pulls that out, I mean, I'll be stunned.
So I'm gonna say, no, she doesn't know it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:23):
What do you think, Emily, Yeah, that's a hard word
if you're that drunk.
Speaker 3 (01:14:26):
I completely agree. I think we're going to get a
vegan or a vegetarian. She's gonna think it's the funniest
thing ever. I'm gonna say she gets.
Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
It wrong, all right? What do you think? Skuy?
Speaker 5 (01:14:33):
Taking a chance here on Nelly, my girl, Nellie this question? Yep,
I'm taking a chance, and I'm gonna say yes.
Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
She's an animal lover, just like v from the last round,
and she will nail this, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
Thor No, I don't think she's gonna know. I don't
think she could pronounce the word right.
Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
I mean it's like if she if she says herbivore,
will we accepted.
Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
I'm just stunned.
Speaker 1 (01:14:59):
Okay, I guess it has to be somewhat.
Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Yeah, yeah, you know, yes, well we'll see. Yeah, that'd
be crazy again.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Animals who only eat plants are called herbivores. That's the
answer we're looking for.
Speaker 5 (01:15:14):
FURTI words herbivortsbi wor herbivors.
Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
You herbie words? Yeah, that was the first thing. She's
so freaking.
Speaker 1 (01:15:29):
Oh my god. No, that's a stunner.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
That's a stunner.
Speaker 4 (01:15:33):
She's so proud of herself too.
Speaker 1 (01:15:34):
Oh my god. All right, let's get to the third
and final question for Nelly. Who is the lead singer
of the band Creed. Who's the lead singer of the
band Creed. There's best buddy Scott stap Wow, Scott stop.
Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
Yeah, he's the best. Oh he's my wife. Got to
meet him to remember that, it was crazy, It was crazy.
She's got that person that got a picture with him.
Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
But is Nelly getting to know that Scott stepped is
the league of Creed?
Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
What do you think Emily is having a comeback right now?
Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
A moment? Likes No, they're not.
Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
I mean like Haley listens to them and she's younger,
Haley loves Creed.
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
Wife.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
I'm gonna I'm gonna get crazy and I'm gonna take
a chance, and I'm going to say that Nelly is
a Creed fan and knows this.
Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
She gets it right.
Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
What a wild thing to say.
Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:16:24):
What do you think? Sky? Ah?
Speaker 5 (01:16:26):
Yeah, I have faith in Nelly. On the last question,
not this one. I don't think this is in her wheelhouse.
I mean, clearly, Nelly, did you.
Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
Hear what she's hip hops? You know?
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
So say no?
Speaker 1 (01:16:38):
Okay sucks.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Everyone should know this, everyone, just like everyone knows Axle, Rose,
Guns and Rows.
Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
I mean, I think they're a little different everyone, it's
slight different.
Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
But that being sad because she's so drunk to say no.
Speaker 1 (01:16:56):
Yeah, sorry, Emily, I'm leaning towards I don't think she's
a Creed fan. I don't think she has any clue
who Scott's Stap is, So I'm gonna say no, she
will not know it. So, Emily, you're the only one
that believes that Nelly is a Creed fan. Uh So
the answer we are looking for as the lead singer
(01:17:16):
of the band Creed is Scott Stapp Michael Jackson. So close. Okay,
Well that was interesting, all right, Sky What were the
final standings?
Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
All right?
Speaker 5 (01:17:34):
Well, things took a bit of a turn in last place.
We have Emily with two points tied for second place,
myself in thor with three points, and Eddie wins it
with four points. There you go.
Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
That means congratulations, p one, Ryan, you get to go
see those comics.
Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Right on? Yeah, buddy.
Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
All right, man, have fun, dude, so I don't have
to tell you lady working with a couple of real
men in here. Oh wow? Oh yeah, take a look
like a gander. Gander? What are you posing like that?
You're not like man?
Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
I'm a man.
Speaker 1 (01:18:13):
Okay, don't calm down. Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
What is the Art of Manliness?
Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
Guy? I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
It's basically this website that's dedicated to man stuff. Like
I think they're kind of trying to be their own
bro Bible in a way, and so it's all stuff that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
They think don wants in the.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Yeah, Art of Manliness has put out a list of
things that men should do this summer to feel alive.
I feel like men, you know, blood pumping. Okay, So
Thorn and I are going to do this. Man, I'm
guessing you don't want I was committee.
Speaker 5 (01:18:55):
Some of them I think you guys will agree with,
and some of them my I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:18:59):
Interested to hear how you feel. All right, catch a
ball game, duh, I already did it. We're doing that NonStop, yeah, Padre, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:19:09):
Uh, carve up a fresh watermelon, and then if you
really want to get crazy, see who can spit the
seed to the furthest hold on, that's really.
Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
What it says.
Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
Carving a watermelon is making me feel alive. Maybe you
can crack it open with your hands. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:19:24):
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:19:25):
That one's a little weird.
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
What if you don't like watermelon? I'm not a watermelon guy.
Speaker 1 (01:19:28):
It does give me a little bit of a gas.
Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Oh really, I don't like my hands get all wet, sticky.
I don't know if this list is you Do you
like that watermelon wash?
Speaker 1 (01:19:40):
Do you ever read an ice cream?
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Yeah? She's not a guy.
Speaker 1 (01:19:45):
Very real problem.
Speaker 2 (01:19:46):
Well, yeah, because it starts, you gotta be you gotta
be quick, because it starts starts melting. Yeah, so I
always go, I always go cup very.
Speaker 1 (01:19:55):
No, no, could you eat the watermelon with a fork?
Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
I would, but I've don't even like watermelon that much. Seeds.
I don't like seed the seeds. I just watermelon is
a very overrated fruit in my eyes. Yeah, a peach.
Speaker 1 (01:20:11):
Those are very juicy.
Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
Those are very very juicy. But they're worth it, like
it's worth it. It's worth a plum, not worth it
with a squeeze, the squeeze there you go. Nectarine as well,
thank you very similar fruit.
Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
I've heard that. Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:20:27):
Another thing on your bucket list this summer to feel
alive as a man is to put up a hammock
and then take a nap in it.
Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
So I'm going to Mammoth next week in our trailer
and we have a hammock, and I'm really excited. I
can't wait. Really, I love a nap in a hammock.
I do, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:20:47):
But what makes you feel like a man about that?
Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
In the world with nature, you can, but you know,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:20:58):
This one not legal here in California.
Speaker 5 (01:21:01):
But they suggest get yourself some fireworks and blow some
stuff up.
Speaker 1 (01:21:06):
I can do that. No, some about wildfires and burning
down cities.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
I'm like, whatever about fireworks? Don't do it for me.
Speaker 1 (01:21:15):
So a good peach and a hammock is where you're
living right now?
Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
Dude, are you kidding me? No watermelon?
Speaker 1 (01:21:21):
But if a peach in a hammock.
Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
I'm eating a hammock eating peach.
Speaker 1 (01:21:25):
Yeah, nothing, but nothing better.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
The juices are going to drip on you. I'm shirtless, so.
Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
I don't care what you're shirtless in your hammock. Okay,
all right, Okay, Another thing they say at that.
Speaker 5 (01:21:39):
Actually, they suggest you do shirtless to feel alive as
a man in summer is mowing the lawn.
Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
Get out there shirtless with the law. I don't like
doing that. Okayish, Okay. They say go fishing, love to fish.
This is an odd list of things to do.
Speaker 4 (01:22:00):
Yeah, I mean I think fishing makes sense.
Speaker 1 (01:22:02):
Fishing is pretty standard. Yeah, I was really thinking like
I was going to like tackle a deer or something
in the feel alive. Yeah, well that crazy stuff. None
of this is crazy. These are just moments where you reflected, Yeah, fishing,
I'm gonna feel like a man.
Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
Okay, man, Okay, wait what this one?
Speaker 5 (01:22:23):
I don't know if anyone in the room's going to
relate to this one. Get yourself a seer sucker suit
and find an occasion to wear it.
Speaker 1 (01:22:33):
I just like the track where would you?
Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
Why does the print matter?
Speaker 1 (01:22:39):
I don't I don't know, I don't know. This is
really starting to really annoying.
Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Yeah that's really stupid.
Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
Okay. They say live dangerously and drink from the hose. Ew.
That's that's a very childlike thing to do. Yeah, you
did that when you were a kid. As an adult,
we don't really do that. No, okay, they feel like this. Yeah,
I'm gonna not feel alive the copper that just went
(01:23:05):
into Yeah, thank you log of some sort go skinny
dipping in a lake?
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
No, I mean that's fun.
Speaker 1 (01:23:15):
I don't want a parasite to go in my Oh
is that?
Speaker 4 (01:23:18):
I mean if you were swim trunks, they have have
they have access to your part.
Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
I'm not going to any lakes.
Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
Okay, So no lights, no likes, legs are off.
Speaker 2 (01:23:25):
Sorry, I have a pool.
Speaker 5 (01:23:28):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:23:28):
They say make a fire to feel alive as a man.
So whether it's a campfire, camp Hailey handle the campfire
or do you get in there?
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
It's a great question, Eddie.
Speaker 1 (01:23:39):
Uh it just buy one of those logs that you
just burn, you know, the.
Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
You were just speech camping.
Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
We bought one of the logs and we let it
burn like usher and then and then yeah, Hailey kind
of handled that. I took care of the baby. Damn. Well,
she's more of a wilderness person. Yeah, but I mean
we're not rubbing two sticks together here surviving.
Speaker 1 (01:23:59):
You're right, but I love building campfires. It's like one
of my favorite things.
Speaker 2 (01:24:03):
Now, if you were on Survivor and the fire Challenge,
at the end, would you be able to do it easily?
Speaker 1 (01:24:08):
Really easily? You know you don't want to go against me.
You've made a fire with no but I mean I've
watched every fifty seasons of Survivor too. I think I
could figure that part out, the fly part. But I
just enjoy the fire campfire process. Wow, you do smell
everything about it.
Speaker 4 (01:24:27):
I actually do too, love it. And you're not a man,
I know, but I'm a woman and.
Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
I am trying to get in on this, get very
excited and proud of myself when it finally takes off
and I think you just light it? No, Well, I
would I build it and you have to do the
newspaper and come put it all up and do you
little sticks and everything, and would it finally catch it?
Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
I feel like I say, I enjoyed it. I don't
know that you should be proud of yourself.
Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
There's like a badass when you do it.
Speaker 5 (01:24:50):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:24:50):
Well, remember last week we found out Emily's favorite movie
all time was cast Away, and he makes fire in
that movie. He's very he's very proud of So is that?
Why is that how you feel? Every time?
Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Probably you know your plants around the fire exit.
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Yes, I do, okay, the whole thing. Okay, okay.
Speaker 5 (01:25:13):
Another thing they say for a man to do to
feel alive during summertime is to use a rope swing
into a pool, a lake something nice rope swing.
Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
But these are old, childlike things. So I don't know
why having to do with a man has to feel
alive like it makes you feel youthful, like I'm alive.
I may get doing man's stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
I may get dausious going on a rope swing. That's
what you know.
Speaker 1 (01:25:39):
You know what makes me feel alive like a man
paying off my credit card bill. Where's that? That's not
summer fun I'm just.
Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
Saying, you know, yeah, my baby's formula.
Speaker 1 (01:25:49):
There you go. That's not summer funny.
Speaker 5 (01:25:52):
And the final thing they say to feel a live
during summer as a man is to go number one outside.
Speaker 4 (01:25:58):
That makes you feel alive.
Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
Two boys do that every every day in the backyard,
so they're men gratulations. I mean, you have toilets. Okay, guys,
this is big news, and to be honest, a little
bittersweet for me. A couple of my personal favorite fast
(01:26:21):
food items are making their return. This is crazy. We're
gonna tell you what items are coming back When we
get back on the show, I'll rock with a five three.
So this is pretty crazy. A couple of my favorite
items of all time in the fast food world, I
(01:26:43):
guess are making a comeback now. It's a little bitter
sweet though, because I don't eat fast food anymore. I
haven't in six months. Break you it may. Honestly, I
don't know what I'm gonna do. Or says you could
have a random cheat meal every now and again. Yeah,
I know. I just I'm afraid to open the door
(01:27:03):
because I mean, I've been so good I don't want
to be bad.
Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
But this one.
Speaker 1 (01:27:11):
I mean, I did a whole campaign trying to get
this back on the menu, and it was for like
a week and then it was gone again. I am,
of course, referring to the viral campaign in curritos. You
don't remember going viral and making sure and it worked,
(01:27:36):
and it worked. You missed out. It was crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:27:39):
It was this store, Yeah, it was huge.
Speaker 1 (01:27:42):
What of the Eddie's greatest accomplishment? I love the at
Taco Bell. It's so good. It's life changing, Just like
I guess there's their form of an enchilada.
Speaker 4 (01:27:55):
What kind of burrito is it?
Speaker 1 (01:27:56):
It's a their form of an enchilada. It's not a burrito,
you know, pick it up.
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
You either right now, but like it's a burrito that's
kind of like a wet burrito, right, I guess you can.
Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
Is that kind of like an enchilado?
Speaker 5 (01:28:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
Yes, right, what's what's the filling?
Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Grumb beef?
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
Okay? Heaven heaven filled it? I love it.
Speaker 1 (01:28:17):
And it was on them, I mean for as long
as I could remember, it was always on the menu.
And then talk about decided to discontinue it, and it
broke my heart, and so I fought, I thought back
to bring back the nturido. I got it back for
like a week, and then it went away again, which
really broke my heart. And I only got like one. Yeah,
and before it went away because you didn't realize it
(01:28:39):
was just going to go so fast. No, well, I
think you only get one in order. I think I
ordered two. It was like having two inch aladas. Yeah,
so it wasn't crazy. I don't know why they took
it away again. Yeah, made me sad. But apparently now
it's coming back.
Speaker 5 (01:28:56):
What yeah, talk about just announced that again for a
limited time. The churito will return now whenever they say
limited time, we don't know exactly what that means.
Speaker 1 (01:29:08):
Is it a week, is it a month? What does
this mean? But starting this Thursday, June eighteenth, it was wait,
hold on, are you sure? I thought it was in November,
That's what I read.
Speaker 5 (01:29:19):
I was just on a food blogger's website and they
had an article about it.
Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
I read November.
Speaker 4 (01:29:26):
I thought I saw June, and it's.
Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
On a Thursday, June eighteenth. Thursday.
Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
Talk about about Thursday?
Speaker 4 (01:29:35):
You think they know that it's talking about Thursday?
Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
Ed, he's losing his marbles?
Speaker 4 (01:29:38):
What are we going to do? What's happening here?
Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
Look at him? He's ear this morning. You said he
was out of the lowest way he's ever been.
Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
That's true. Do you really want to risk it right
now for an inchurito?
Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
I think he's considering one inchurito.
Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Look at killing.
Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
Look how happy Emily would be if you slip up.
She's looking at me, going on one for yeah, one
white it's just a white claw. Yeah, it's just blow.
It's not mess.
Speaker 1 (01:30:13):
That is.
Speaker 2 (01:30:14):
Look at her.
Speaker 4 (01:30:15):
I'm just saying, you're even your freaking health mentor I.
Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
Would I would I can't. I don't want Emily to
have the satisfaction of you have because she wants you
to slip up and then continue to slip up. He
deserves it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:28):
It's not like he's eating a whole bucket of fried chicken.
I mean, it's one intrido, just one.
Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
There's one though, lead to another, a gateway, and I'm hoping, I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
Not hoping that we'll just give you a little taste.
Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
So this Thursday, for a limited time, why.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Don't you get one of those cinnamon de lights with
it to Oh god no, in a crunch wrap and
crunch wrap and burrito. Sure, and then on Friday a
dairy queen. Wow, this is really what I'm talking It's
one ento.
Speaker 1 (01:31:06):
I'm considering it. Wow, I'll just say that on her face.
Speaker 2 (01:31:11):
I want it this way I wanted to.
Speaker 3 (01:31:13):
I'm sitting here looking at his concoction knowing that an
enterido would probably taste delicious for you.
Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
Well, obviously, yeah, you deserve it.
Speaker 1 (01:31:21):
So does heroin. But it's not great for you, you know,
I don't know, it's probably worse.
Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
I've been sober nineteen years. Do I deserve a drink
at this point?
Speaker 1 (01:31:31):
Celebrate Emily, Yeah, popping bottles. Crazy. Uh. So the enturito
is back, which is crazy crazy, very excited about that. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:31:43):
The other item, this is going to shock you because
I am not joking. Had no idea it wasn't available anymore.
I thought it was always available. Well, they changed it.
Speaker 5 (01:31:57):
In nineteen ninety two, make Donald's changed their fried apple
pies to a baked apple pie, so a different crunch,
a different taste.
Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
You're not getting the fried apple pie.
Speaker 5 (01:32:12):
But from nineteen sixty eight to nineteen ninety.
Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
Two they were fried, but then due to health.
Speaker 5 (01:32:20):
Concerns, they changed them and made them still a buttery crust.
Speaker 2 (01:32:25):
With a sugar fill. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
The apple pie was always the apple pie, always all Yeah,
but they used to cook it by frying it, like
literally dunking it in the fryer. Yeah. And now yeah,
cooked in the oven.
Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
Yeah, that's a separate station, right, different fryer.
Speaker 1 (01:32:41):
Oh, not the friar. I'm just asking, once baked one's fried,
what do you mean?
Speaker 3 (01:32:46):
What I mean do you were back in the day.
Did you fry them in the same place you fried
the French fries?
Speaker 2 (01:32:50):
Is what I'm asking.
Speaker 1 (01:32:51):
Wouldn't the oil would taste all.
Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
I don't know, I'm just asking.
Speaker 1 (01:32:54):
I would think it would have to be a separate
fryer or the oil would be a weird taste. The
frier is the frier.
Speaker 2 (01:32:59):
Oh really, we have to change out the oil.
Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
You can't chisel every Throw a couple of pies in
there right next to the guess what nuggets?
Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
Oh, they're all the same thing.
Speaker 1 (01:33:11):
Change sandwich.
Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
I don't think it's like that anymore, probably.
Speaker 1 (01:33:13):
Not, probably not, But that's how we used to them.
Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Wow. I guess that's how a fifteen year old become
a system manager. What does that mean? I didn't make
that with rules like that. I mean, I didn't do it.
I just I mean everything he's getting fried the same fryer.
Fries aren't being filled up all the way and the dry.
Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
I didn't do that either, Okay, Yeah. I created the
mcflurry back in the day where I would make the
apple pie and then I'd get our soft serve and
I put the apple pie in a cup and then
pour soft serves in the mix it all together. So
it was like an al of mode, you know, But
it was the advent of the mcflurry. Flurry wasn't around then. Wow,
(01:33:55):
and everybody was Eddie, Eddie, make me one of them,
make me want of them. They couldn't fink it out themselves.
Steady I did, Wow, and so I created. You should
have screamed out patent pending. I should have Yeah, sucks billionaire,
But yeah, I didn't realize that baked Like we have ovens, microwave.
(01:34:18):
I don't know, however, you warm things where warm? I
have no idea. I don't know. Well, there's bun warmers.
Oh maybe there's an apple pie. This thing?
Speaker 5 (01:34:27):
Oh okay, well, starting Monday, a week from today and
only for two weeks in honor of America to fifty McDonald's.
Speaker 1 (01:34:38):
Is getting unhealthy again. The fried apple pie, Now that's
crazy because like, why are people clamoring for that. I've
never I didn't even realize there was a difference.
Speaker 4 (01:34:48):
Yeah, apple pie since the baked one delicious?
Speaker 1 (01:34:54):
Yeah, I mean yeah, I mean I felt like quality
wise is not as good as it used to be.
So maybe that's why. But I just thought, you know,
all over the years, they just changed it.
Speaker 5 (01:35:03):
Now there's a group of people out there, just like
your enturritos for Eddie.
Speaker 1 (01:35:07):
There there's you know, a great.
Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
Campaigning for this, Yes, so since ninety two campaign.
Speaker 1 (01:35:17):
Fried apple pie, which is wild because apple pie is baked.
It's not fried a regular apple pie. So I don't
know know why this is the thing. So this is interesting. Okay,
if you like the apple pie, which I do, where
does it rank in the best fast food desserts? Now?
(01:35:37):
I know you're a big fast food desert I used to.
Speaker 2 (01:35:40):
I know, And this isn't a knock on McDonald's. I'm
not a big apple pie McDonald's fan, shucking, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:35:46):
Now, did you know that they make other versions of it?
Like sometimes they'll have like a special like cookies and
cream pot, you know that, and then like they'll have
a strawberry wine whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
Yeah, I like I like the strawberry raspberry cherry route
more every once in a while to that I would try.
But if it comes down to best desserts, I mean
it starts and ends with the Burger King, Hershey pie
and butterfinger Really, I'm telling you butterfinger pie.
Speaker 4 (01:36:16):
And that's weird because you don't like butter fingers and.
Speaker 2 (01:36:18):
You might be seeing yourself thorpe What about the peach shake?
Is that a dessert? It's a shake, It's a drink,
I get it to the Chick fil a peachake. But
the butterfinger and the Hirshey pie from Burger King are heaven.
I used to go he when I was fat. When
I was really fat, I would go to a restaurant,
a fast food place, do an order, but there was
(01:36:39):
Taco Bell, Wendy's in and out, and then I would
drive out of my way to go to Burger King
to get you the butterfinger pie or the Hirshy pie.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
I remember one of this.
Speaker 2 (01:36:48):
I would get multiple of them.
Speaker 1 (01:36:49):
One of the saddest things I've heard was one time
you went to like Popeyes, got yourself a bucket of chicken,
and then over to Burger King to get your Hirshey pie.
Speaker 2 (01:36:58):
And I'd get multiple pies. Keep won in the fridge
the next day or the next is crazy. I looked up.
Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
I want to see a picture of the butterfinger pie,
and this is Burger King doesn't have it right now.
Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Yeah, it's very seas Yeah. Yeah, that's why I'm saying.
Either or because the Hirshey pie is always there. The
butter finger pies up up sometimes there sometimes good. Yeah,
it's a gift. They also have a kid cat pie
was one not as good as the butter finger pie,
but if they were smart, they bring back the butter
for your pie. Interesting, thank you? Interesting? And I don't
really know that many other desserts at fast food very
(01:37:29):
a lot of them aren't great.
Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
There there's some, you know, like Sonic and places like that.
I'm a big DQ guy, Yeah, I love.
Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
I never really had so all of those.
Speaker 1 (01:37:39):
D Q desserts are pretty darn good. Why do they
when you go to d Q?
Speaker 2 (01:37:44):
Because my wife became a big d Q chick, which
was pregnant, so i'd have to go there and get
why did when they do it, they like turn it
upside down?
Speaker 1 (01:37:51):
I don't know, but it's like to show you. So
whenever you get the what are they called the twists,
the blizzard blizzard, and they like mix in whatever you're
mixing is so if you want to kick cat one whatever,
M and ms or whatever, they'll mix all the stuff
(01:38:11):
in and they like blend it. And then when before
they hand it to you, they have to show you.
They hold it upside down and then put it back.
I don't know why. The thickness, yeah, I don't know.
I actually don't know, but it's delicious.
Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
My wife was a big fan when when she was pregnant.
Speaker 1 (01:38:28):
Oh yeah, a girl girl. Yeah, there's some like a
s'mores one is really good.
Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
It's not fair that that's gonna be on the list
because I look at d Q as a dessert place
more than they have regular food. I know, I know
they do, but dessert first. Food, but dessert first and
the second, So like they're gonna be high on the
list and they not fair.
Speaker 1 (01:38:49):
I mean, let me look at the rules here and
see if they.
Speaker 2 (01:38:53):
Making a list of best fast food desserts. DQ's more
of a dessert place than a fast food place. It's
like it's like saying Basket Robbins has the best dessert.
Well obviously not really, it's just iceman, how is their food?
I never had food at DQ? Is it good?
Speaker 5 (01:39:08):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:39:10):
I thought you say, yeah, That's what I'm saying. Is that.
Speaker 1 (01:39:17):
Sky when you get the boo his precious desserts? I
know you may have a bitter two. Do you have
a personal favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:39:25):
More than a bit or two? With all these numbers,
I'm so can you stop?
Speaker 5 (01:39:29):
Honestly, not very many fast food desserts a fast food
right no, yeah, Like I.
Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
Mean he goes he spends like thirty dollars on like
a cheesecake from the cheesecake factory or a giant piece
of cake and ice cream from like Lazy Dogs I
don't know, or something like that. Yeah, yeah, which is crazy,
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:39:46):
Definitely he loves like the down though.
Speaker 5 (01:39:49):
No, oh god, no, yeah, he loves that chocolate cake
from outback. Like that's the size of like it's not
like a no, it's like enough for it's like this toll.
Speaker 2 (01:40:03):
Does he share that with you guys?
Speaker 1 (01:40:04):
Does he get that claim jumper one that's like this?
It's basically the same, and he.
Speaker 2 (01:40:08):
Doesn't share it? How was he not a thousand pounds?
Speaker 5 (01:40:12):
Well I asked him not to share it because I'm
not supposed reading that stuff. But yeah, even back then
he wouldn't offer. But when we used to this was
a while ago, but we used to live close to
a Wendy's and a Frosty would be a must.
Speaker 1 (01:40:25):
Like Frosty will get.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
Me to get whatever I have whatever about.
Speaker 1 (01:40:30):
I like it when it's melty, but like when it's
kind of hard, I don't like him. Oh my little
icy who I like that? No, not at all. I'm
not really about it, not really about it, Emily. I
know you normally don't eat sweets.
Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
We'll go to place myself will have a dessert, have
a by his.
Speaker 1 (01:40:49):
She's gonna name like a thousand things, even though she
doesn't like sweets.
Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
I can't remember the last time I ordered something for myself, Like,
I don't order all we got okay, we got desert.
He pays for it, and then I have a right on.
I you're right, I don't order it, but my son
loves it. There's a winter senseile by my house, and
the Oreo chocolate shake.
Speaker 4 (01:41:11):
There is so good, but it's like of Oreo.
Speaker 2 (01:41:15):
I know, I know, I know. It's like they give
you a straw and it's then it's a shake.
Speaker 1 (01:41:21):
Don't you drink it?
Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:41:22):
Back in the day when I was a kid, I
love the McDonald's ice cream Sunday, and i'd asked for
extra which.
Speaker 1 (01:41:27):
Wait, which one hot fudge, strawberry or caramel?
Speaker 2 (01:41:30):
Oh, hot fudge?
Speaker 1 (01:41:31):
Okay, okay, no cherry, extra nuts.
Speaker 2 (01:41:34):
I like the cherry. You don't need to wake at me.
Speaker 1 (01:41:36):
I don't like the cherry.
Speaker 2 (01:41:37):
I don't like the cherries.
Speaker 4 (01:41:39):
I don't like.
Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
All right, oh yeah, what are the rankings of the
best fast food desserts?
Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
All right?
Speaker 5 (01:41:47):
Number ten goes to McDonald's apple Pie. Number Dairy Queen's
Waffle Bowl Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:41:53):
I've never seen. Number eight Domino's Chocolate Love a crunch case.
It's probably good.
Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
I've never had It's probably good.
Speaker 1 (01:42:02):
I never had it before.
Speaker 2 (01:42:03):
It's never gonna beat Dominos.
Speaker 1 (01:42:05):
Never said I'll stop. It is McDonald's mcflurry.
Speaker 2 (01:42:10):
We're knocking this out of the plow.
Speaker 1 (01:42:12):
Number six Burger Kings Hershey Sunday Pie. I mean that's
so he's never been more offended. He's never been more offended.
Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Dude, that's so ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (01:42:24):
Take a breath. Number five is going to be controversial.
Subways cookies no way good.
Speaker 2 (01:42:31):
No, but they're like no, I've had the.
Speaker 1 (01:42:34):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:42:36):
No cookies are good. But again, like it's a cookie.
Speaker 1 (01:42:39):
It's a cookie.
Speaker 5 (01:42:41):
Number okay goes to Sonic's Blast. That's like they're mcflurry.
Speaker 1 (01:42:47):
Number three Dairy Queen's Vanilla Soft. Sir, it's delicious.
Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
Plain is plain saucy.
Speaker 1 (01:42:54):
I'll get ashy sometimes. I mean it's delicious. I'm a
saft guy. I told you that.
Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
Not even chocolate No.
Speaker 1 (01:43:04):
Number two goes to Wendy's Frosty. I'll get Irons guy
and number one again killing these rankings. Dairy Queen for
their blizzards.
Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
They're just fan fan.
Speaker 1 (01:43:22):
I could do it. I could do it.
Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
I can do it.
Speaker 1 (01:43:23):
I can do it. What a wild weekend for sports Man.
We're gonna go over all the big time games that
went down this weekend next to Sports Dirt. Wow, what
a wild weekend in sports. The Padres, I mean they've
been pretty banged up recently, Like all their guys are
(01:43:45):
getting kind of hurt here and there, and you know,
they're bringing up all the youngsters. They're kind of performing.
They're bringing in some energy to the team which we
haven't had for a little while. They're making everybody else,
you know, play a little bit better, and so I'm
kind of digging it. Well. Freddie for me, he was
the latest who went down after he got concussed from
(01:44:06):
an errant throw by Yuki Matt Suey while he was
warming up on Saturday. Like, how bad of a pitch
was that? I mean it was literally like he spiked
it and then the ball came up and hit him
under the mask and it gave him a concussion, which
is insane because we saw Xander Bogarts get nailed in
the head with a ninety five mile prower fastball and
(01:44:27):
he's not out. No, Like, how do concussions I don't know.
Jay cronwore it has been out for like two months.
Speaker 4 (01:44:32):
That seems crazy too.
Speaker 1 (01:44:33):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't really get it. So
back up Rudolfo Duran. He actually got the start yesterday,
so he got the Padres on the board first against
the Orioles with a double in the second inning. Then
he gave the big blow with a two run home
run in the seventh to lead the Padres to a
five to win and win the series. So, wow, they
(01:44:54):
looked good this weekend. They were playing pretty good. So
we'll take it the New York Knicks. I'm gonna repea
that the New York Knicks or NBA champions. Wow, first
time in fifty three years they won the championship.
Speaker 2 (01:45:09):
I never thought I see it.
Speaker 1 (01:45:10):
It's crazy. They came from behind again in Game five
on Saturday to beat the Spurs ninety four to ninety
Jalen Brunson scored forty five in the win and was
named the Finals MVP. They were down by sixteen at
one point again and came back to win it. I
don't know how they're doing that.
Speaker 2 (01:45:26):
Closer man Runston, excuse me, he I don't know what
they're gonna do. He's a legend now, he's up there
with Jeter Eli. Now both those guys have multiple rings,
but winning the title for the Knicks is like ten rings.
So like he's up there with those guys. Now, he's
a legend in New York. It's forty five points, I mean,
the most one of the most most points scored in
(01:45:47):
finals history. This is unbelievable. And he sucks like a
He seems like a really nice guy. He's really like
low key, Yeah, he's really doesn't He's not a big
you never see him out in the clubs. He's not
a big part. Like he just seems a regular guy
who just happens to be great at basketball.
Speaker 1 (01:46:03):
They were there, you know, like like can you put
this in perspective? And you know what, you know, you're
a legend in New Arek. And he goes, what you know,
what do you think? He goes, that's cool?
Speaker 2 (01:46:14):
Yeah, he's a legend.
Speaker 1 (01:46:17):
Chapter So he's more without a doubt, dude.
Speaker 2 (01:46:22):
When Timmy said, Timmy Semany asked him, would you rather
have an Oscar or this title? And he says Nick's
title without a doubt? Really yeah, which is awesome. He
instantly became my favorite actor.
Speaker 1 (01:46:32):
Hold on him instantly.
Speaker 2 (01:46:34):
The champagne Ben still, Yeah, wasn't there, you know, I
didn't see any pictures of him, but he should have been.
He should have been there, so a scooter and Sidney
should have been there too, they would have been.
Speaker 1 (01:46:50):
H I was popping corks on Friday because the U
s A did it. Oh they were.
Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
They didn't win a champion, but I mean this was bigger.
Didn't they beat a team they should have beat?
Speaker 1 (01:47:03):
And it was the first game. Yeah, listen, they came
out of the game hot in the World Cup opener
with a massive board a one thrashing about a Okay,
it was unbelievable. I mean it was like, you score,
then this guy and everybody scores.
Speaker 2 (01:47:20):
Yeah, I was.
Speaker 1 (01:47:21):
I was going crazy. I was throwing confetti. That's exciting.
Speaker 2 (01:47:24):
I did see throwing confetti. I did see. I was
watching so many videos of the Knicks on Saturday night,
just soaking it in because you.
Speaker 1 (01:47:31):
Weren't doing the same thing on Friday night with the
US win.
Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
No. And there was a video that I saw was funny.
It was from a guy Brazil is playing in Brazil,
that's playing in New York. One of the I don't know,
there's a one of the countries is playing in New York.
And it was the dude's first day ever in America
and the Knicks won the title. So he's in the
street and the captain said, my first day ever in America.
(01:47:56):
I'm like, freaking imagine that's where you think America is?
Speaker 1 (01:48:01):
Well. Next up for the US will be Australia on Friday. Now.
They won their game two. Oh so I mean there,
we'll see, we'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:48:12):
Where are they playing in the US.
Speaker 1 (01:48:15):
So far? That was one of the so far Okay, yeah,
why it's on craikey. Okay. The Hurricanes won the Stanley
Cup in Game six over the Golden Knights three to nothing.
It's their first ever championship in their twenty years of
existence Carolina.
Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
Okay, good to them.
Speaker 1 (01:48:39):
So there you go. That is sports church for today.
Uh thour once famously, actually actually twice famously tried to
bungee jump at the Fair but couldn't do it twice
twice that happened while that fear is real. We're gonna
see what happened to you one person who went bungee
jumping that did not end well. Coming up next on
(01:49:01):
the show five three or this time of year, do
you get a little PTSD?
Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
Not as much as I used to, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:49:14):
Yeah, famously, back in the day, we did a broadcast
from the San Diego Fair and Thor, you know, it
was brand new on the show. This was their first
year on the show. First month, Yeah, where Thor made
a big, bold claim that he really wanted to bungee jump,
and the fare offered a bungee jump thing, you.
Speaker 2 (01:49:34):
Know, why not?
Speaker 1 (01:49:36):
And so we oh, this would be super cool where
we'll mic him up and we'll bring him up there
and he'll jump and we'll get all the sound live
on the air.
Speaker 2 (01:49:43):
It will be crazy. And you say, miked up, we
ductate my cell phone to my hand. Yes, that was brilliant.
Just to be clear, that seems like I could have
done better. Okay, so that's how he was marked up.
Speaker 4 (01:50:00):
I never knew that part of the story.
Speaker 1 (01:50:01):
I didn't really either. You don't remember that, So we're
live on the air. We sent Thor up, send him up.
I'm talking to him live on the air. I'm like,
all right, Thor, are you ready, dude?
Speaker 2 (01:50:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:50:12):
And he's like no, And I can hear the fear
in voice.
Speaker 2 (01:50:17):
I've never had this happening in my life.
Speaker 1 (01:50:19):
But he wanted to bunch of jumps, something like I
get it, you're scared, but you're gonna jump when you're
live on the air. And so, I mean multiple times
I went three two one. He's like, nope, I can't
do it. I can't move. I'm paralyzed again. And I'm like, dude, well,
I mean we're on the air, like you got to jumpe.
Speaker 2 (01:50:37):
Wish somebody would have pushed me.
Speaker 1 (01:50:40):
Think that's how it works.
Speaker 2 (01:50:41):
I when they when I got out on that little
ledge and they closed the gate behind me, I was frozen.
I've never felt this way. You hear about this happening
to people, Like when somebody gets, like in a situation scared,
it's stiff scared. I couldn't move. I wish somebody just
would have pushed me, but no one did. I blamed that.
Speaker 1 (01:51:00):
No, you didn't know. I think because the legalities you
can't do that. So that didn't go well, and to
the point of where I had to have a little
conversation with thor after the show down yeah, and just
tell him like, hey, man, I don't it's fine, you know,
but don't say you're going to do something and then
not do it, because that's you know, that made us
(01:51:21):
look bad. And so he understood.
Speaker 2 (01:51:23):
Now that being said, though I don't know if you
guys know this or not. The first time my wife
ever listened to this show was that day and she
would marry you. So she was listening and and she
stayed tuned in because of that of what happened, and
then from that moment on she liked the show because
(01:51:43):
what happened. And then she started following me on Instagram.
And now we have a son and we're married and everything.
Speaker 1 (01:51:48):
So no, it didn't work out. I mean, then the
next year comes around, We're going to broadcast from the
faraguin thor As. I want redemption. Yeah, I want redemption.
I feel bad that I didn't jump, I'm embarrassed, I'm humiliated.
(01:52:09):
I can do it. Let me go again. And I'm like, nah, dude,
like that was crazy, Like we can't do this again.
We wasted everybody's time. Like, if you do this, you
gotta Yeah, I mean, obviously you're gonna do it, if
you're gonna do it, but I don't want to do
it again. But he's like, no, no, no, I swear
I'll do it. Blah blah blah blah. So here we
are again. Yep, year two or goes up? All right, dude,
(01:52:30):
here we go. Are you ready? Three? Two?
Speaker 2 (01:52:32):
One?
Speaker 1 (01:52:34):
Nope?
Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
Again, two years in a row.
Speaker 1 (01:52:39):
He wouldn't jump. I fired him on the spot. Yeah.
I'm like, I'm like, why do you even come back?
I'll never forget.
Speaker 5 (01:52:49):
After the broadcast, the walk to our cars in the
parking lot, it was me and Thor and he was like,
Eddie's gonna get me fired right, like like.
Speaker 1 (01:52:58):
He fully believed. No, I really wanted to.
Speaker 2 (01:53:01):
It was done because it would happened any Why didn't
just such a fourteen years you deserved it?
Speaker 1 (01:53:08):
That was bad, I mean that was really Why did
you think you could do it? If you couldn't do
it the first time?
Speaker 2 (01:53:14):
You know, I don't know. I was a younger, I
was cocky. It was almost fourteen years ago. I was
twenty five. They don't act like you would do it now.
Speaker 1 (01:53:23):
No, no, no, now, But you are a pilot, like
you've flown you over.
Speaker 2 (01:53:29):
Your fear my fears of heights a little bit. I
am a pilot, but no, I would not do it.
Speaker 1 (01:53:34):
You don't have a fear of flying. You have a
fear of falling.
Speaker 2 (01:53:37):
Yeah, just heights. I shouldn't have done it. I don't know.
Did you hear about me and my wife?
Speaker 1 (01:53:47):
I hear about that.
Speaker 2 (01:53:48):
Jeez, I didn't know I had a fear of heights.
I didn't because I had never really been on anything high.
Speaker 1 (01:53:55):
Really, that's like a whole floor of a building.
Speaker 2 (01:53:59):
Never really bothered me.
Speaker 1 (01:54:00):
Never really bothered every went to the top of the
Empire State Building. It did.
Speaker 2 (01:54:04):
It did bother me. But when you're up there about
to jump, I wish you would out there and push.
Speaker 1 (01:54:08):
I would have pushed State Building. Wait with my.
Speaker 2 (01:54:15):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:54:17):
So.
Speaker 1 (01:54:18):
I actually saw this clip on social media over the weekend,
but I thought it was fake. I'm assuming you know
all these dumb things you see are fake. Now you're
just like, okay, what ever, Ah, that lion jumped on
that guy and ate his face, Like, oh, that's fake.
But this one I clearly's fake, but maybe not.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:54:37):
There is this thing that's gone viral over a bungee jumper.
Where did this HAPPENZI, Yeah, I've heard that.
Speaker 5 (01:54:46):
It turns out in different countries, we got some different
things going on, and it turns out we all know
what a pop up event is.
Speaker 1 (01:54:54):
Well, it looks like in Brazil somebody decided to do
a pop up.
Speaker 5 (01:54:58):
Bungee jump of from a bridge called Skeleton Bridge, which
is basically an abandoned railway bridge one hundred and thirty
feet above a ravine. So they have banners out there
for their company, They got their own crew and people
are showing up. Well, this one woman twenty one years
(01:55:19):
old decided I'm gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (01:55:21):
It's fun.
Speaker 5 (01:55:22):
She goes out there and I guess the way they
get you off the bridge is they pick you up
like Superman style, bring you to the edge and you're
all roped up and then they throw you off.
Speaker 2 (01:55:35):
Well, ask, that's what I needed.
Speaker 5 (01:55:37):
As they're carrying this woman to the edge of the bridge,
people in the crowd are screaming the rope, the rope,
But I guess they didn't know what they were screaming about.
And they throw her off the bridge and then realize
they forgot to hook up the bungee rope.
Speaker 1 (01:55:56):
There's really only one thing you need to do as
a bungee company, and that's hook up the rope the cord. Yeah,
how do you just throw her off with no cord?
Speaker 2 (01:56:10):
Make it? Like?
Speaker 1 (01:56:11):
That's why I thought it was fake. One hundred and
thirty feet and she did not make it.
Speaker 5 (01:56:17):
They have arrested three men involved in the bungee pop
up event with their little event company, and.
Speaker 1 (01:56:26):
I still can't believe this is real, Like seriously, either
it's horrible if you've ever bungee jumped, or the amount
of times they check and double check and do all
those things to make sure your cord's good.
Speaker 4 (01:56:37):
A billion times.
Speaker 5 (01:56:38):
But that's in the US with regulations you have to have,
Like I understand that understand sounds just like literally like
a pop up.
Speaker 1 (01:56:45):
Man, Ranny bungee company, we're checking the cord.
Speaker 2 (01:56:49):
The last thing you do is you probably chug up and.
Speaker 1 (01:56:53):
Even the woman you think she'd be like, hey, where's
my corde?
Speaker 3 (01:56:56):
I mean we've seen we see on The Bachelor where
they go bunge jumping together and they're.
Speaker 1 (01:57:00):
Well they're falling for each other.
Speaker 4 (01:57:01):
They're falling for each other. There are other countries and
they're still checking.
Speaker 1 (01:57:04):
Yeah, I can't believe that's real. If you come across
this video, I'm telling you like it seems to Finn
to it because they're they're throwing her. Yeah, that's why
you didn't do it when you were It's very different
and you had a duct tape phone on your hand.
Arrested on homicide. Well yeah than that. Is there something
(01:57:25):
worse than homicide?
Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:57:28):
Speaking of the fair, guys, my latest top ten has
to do with the San Diego County Fair. I'm going
to deliver my top ten fair foods that's happening tomorrow.
Plus Sky has done it again. She has caused a
major fight within the show about offering up something and
(01:57:49):
now there is a major fight that has broken out.
Will break all that down tomorrow morning.
Speaker 5 (01:57:58):
The show
