Speaker 1 (00:00):
San Diego. Welcome to the show, New New Day is here,
and what better way to start it then.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
With the show is going to be great this show,
I would like to introduce you to.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
The ringleader, Eddie. Here's the thing about Eddie you need
to know. Eddie doesn't have the ability to not be
ed the mother of this crew. Guy, I'm kind.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Of miss meek, like you can almost talk me into anything.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Sure, I'm not a social butterfly, nor do I want
to be one.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
And Emily, I am sometimes very very selfish and sometimes
I'm actually very very given.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Welcome to the show on San Diego's rock station Rock
one oh five three. I can't believe this. The ongoing saga,
which is Emily's ankle slash foot is continuing.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
What that?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
How can this be? I don't know what you're like.
You're telling me, you're like bigot. Problem is that it is?
It's not it?
Speaker 4 (01:03):
That's not it?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
The topic feet.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Very common eight and a half, it's actually on the
smaller size.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Well, this is crazy. Almost one year ago, Emily rolled
her ankle in Austin after being drunk and having a
very booby top, and she tried to retie it while
stepping down stairs while drunk, she rolled the ankle and
then famously yelled out.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm really hurt, guys, I'm really hurt.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Quote of the century. You need to get a shirts made.
I'm really hurt. And then you know, I mean, it's
been almost a year, Emily says, ankle still swollen, still swollen.
You're almost a year later, which defies logic. But apparently
there's other issues going on with your ankle and feet.
(02:04):
Like what, I don't get this.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
This is just a foot problem. The ankle is the
left ankle. Okay, this is my right foot.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
How do you even walk?
Speaker 3 (02:13):
It's with the at ankle and the right foot.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Remember when you had that scooter for a second, for
like literally a second, I.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Did for the ankle. It turns out the scooters more
work than just dealing with the pain of the ankle.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
No whole thing. It's not fun.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah, you were ram of that thing into walls and
doors around.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
It wasn't it wasn't already.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
It wasn't fun. It was not turns on that thing
not really cut corners. No, it doesn't have a good
turn radius. Okay to radios. Yeah, okay, this is my
right foot and My right foot has been a problem
for maybe twenty years now, a little bit less, a
little bit less, but like I feel like in my
like like teenage years, like seventeen, eighteen, nineteen twenty, like
(02:50):
those years, like I was wearing, you know, like what
we all were wearing. I was wearing the hooker heels,
like the ed when we were all we all wearing.
I didn't, you know, I was going out and I
didn't early twenty hitting on Broadway and different clubs around
San Diego wearing my heels and I don't know, Mike
sure of that and maybe bad bone density or whatever
the problem is. But like my foot, my right foot
(03:11):
is like swollen on the like it's like I guess
you could call it like a I don't the doctors
aren't calling it a bunyan, but like that's because that's
such a gross word, but they're still not calling it.
But it's like, but it's like the ball on my foot,
like the where the big toe, the base of the
big toe, like that that ball of the joint right
there is just is bigger.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
It's like fair does it always hurt?
Speaker 4 (03:31):
It always hurts, And what it is is arthritis, Like
that's what that is. That's arthritis of your joint. And
it starts when it starts like rubbing up when you're moving,
you know, when you move your foot to walk fast
and I move fast, and it just it keeps rubbing
up against you know, it's the bone, and that happens
for you know, ten fifteen years.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Then it gets bigger.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Is it a bone spur?
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Well, so the it keeps rubbing against it, and then
it creates calcium on the joint, so then it starts
getting bigger. It's it's like makes the bone bigger, right,
But now, so I've had so many problems with it,
and so over the last like year and two years,
I'd say then I decided two years ago I'd go
to the podiatrist. I had gotten like a scan of
it ten years ago, and like they said, you need surgery,
(04:15):
Like you're gonna need surgery down the line, but there's
really nothing you could do. You just need surgery, Like
you need surgery to go in there and fix it.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
But for foot.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
Surgery, I've always heard is one of those surgeries.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
There's a lot of surgeries that we hear about that
like suck and foot surgery I've heard is just some
people say it's not worth it, like it's it's it's
a horrible recovery. It's my right foot, so driving like
would be a problem because you have to have a
boot on it and stuff like for like a month
or two.
Speaker 6 (04:41):
So like you're just screwed, right whatever. Giant offensive linemen
have feet surgery. It's always like a precursor to a
bad career.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Oh no, the beginning of the end.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
You need your feet now, klinor fascia. I will take
you another one.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yeah, it'll take your fifth metatarsal that breaks.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Oh, nothing worse about it.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yeah, I don't think we need a Compare me to
an offensive light.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Left you and Eric Flowers.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
You're really she's a massive bust for New York.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
I don't even know. I don't know. I just do that.
It's one of those rundom okay, And it's one of
those surgeries.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I don't know if it's true or not.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
But you hear people say oh yeah, and like half
the time it doesn't fix it anyway, and you're.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Like what what what? Like why would I why would
I do that?
Speaker 6 (05:26):
Quick question? Because your foot is so big. I have
special instruments like they would like.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
A children's hospitals.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
For the scalpel, they use a machete.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Usingte once again, I'm very skinny, is not that big.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
I was wondering if that was more made for an issue.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
I have a normal size foot for a woman, and
so normal first.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
As squatch, it's not funny.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
There's eight and a half.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I'm sorry, sorry, makes the majority.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Of the women.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, and.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Can I also throw in for the record, when I
when Emily and I first started working together, I was
made aware of said.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Foot issue because you know, as.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
As women, we talk about clothes and shoes sometimes and
I had informed her, Oh, I have a grandma grandma
toe as I.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Talk crazy because you don't wear.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
At all. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:25):
The the word on the street is that this damage
was caused because somebody lives in flip flops and when
they were pregnant they may have gotten too heavy.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
And okay, can you not call me, can call me
the beef as something about your foot splay?
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Was it when you were destroying Tokyo standing on all
the buildings. I wasn't.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I wasn't gon Tola that That's that's not true.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Do I swear I saw you? Okay?
Speaker 7 (06:57):
No, no, I'm just very pregnant. So I remember hearing
about Emily's foot pain and I'm like, oh good, this
chick's not gonna wear cute shoes. Like I don't wear
cute shoes, but it's blown my mind over the years
(07:18):
to see she still wears cute shoes even though she
must be an incredible pain.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
That's true, Like it's sky you for saying that.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Yeah, So, like a couple of years ago, I finally
got like a new like scan of it and X ray.
I'm like, I have to do something because it's gotten
that much worse. And then just like that, they saw
that there's the horrible arthriatis that we already knew about.
But then they saw a bone spur in between my
big toe and the toe next to it, like literally
a piece. And then they saw a floating piece of
(07:52):
bone fragment that had moved drift on the other side.
So like, I've got like five different things going on
right on that exact bottom my foot where the the
big toe is right and I'm making it up. I'm
not making it up.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
It really hurts.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Not making it up.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
It really hurts, guys.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
And I mean it's super like a ton of pain
all the time, but sometimes obviously, like pain goes, it's
worse than others. Now over the last like six months,
maybe eight months, it's gotten like there's like a ball
that's been growing at the base of my foot.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
And you're over compensating for your hurt ankle. Yeah, which
is on the left side.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
You're saying that, Wow, wow, saying that. You for saying that.
So what ended up happening is I decided a couple
of months ago that I'm going to actually get surgery
on it because there's all those different things going on.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
They have to remove this cysts, they have to.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Kind of scrape out like all the stuff that the
bone spur and all that stuff that's poking me makes sense, and.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Get rid of it. And so I'm not gonna do
the full surgery.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
So I thought where they actually replace, like the bone
they get they put it proesthetic or like a fake toe,
like a fake they do see something with they swap
out some sort of part of the bone there. I
don't know, I have to look more into it.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Go to the Natural History Museum rex bones.
Speaker 8 (09:03):
Okay, they'd have to use that for Emily.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
It's the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
They have to nail it out.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
You're not going to guys as a former Beefer? Will
you donate your bone to science?
Speaker 7 (09:19):
I don't appreciate being called it beefer, not anymore, okay,
but still, I mean I was just a very pray
Do you want me to bring up the picture? I
can no, thank you, I don't. I don't need to
donate anything.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I don't need to be You're so big that you
split your toe in half. I mean, I don't know
what else that sounds beef?
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Unfortunate, that sounds beef with a lot of weight on
top of it.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
So, uh did you see Emily during her friend?
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, she was a bikini model.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
It was the opposite. I was there different.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
I wasn't the Beaver. I don't need a bone from
the Beefer.
Speaker 7 (09:51):
I'm not the Beefer. Watch out for the big girls.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
I don't even know where that cliff came from. I
why would we even happen?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
I think it fits? What did you say that?
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Why did you say it? So? Where we're at is
that the surgeon they're gonna do, or they thought they
were gonna do, is gonna happen. I'm gonna wait and
do it in November. In November because we have our
Thanksgiving break. Also, my son Reid will have his driver's
license then.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
So hopefully cart me around.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Hopefully hopefully's cross city passes. Regardless, he's got his permit
right now, so regardless, he'll be cool to drive me around.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
So that that was the plan.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Okay, Now ahead of that, I need to do an
MRI because they want a further ex ray so that
the surgeon and the doctor know what.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Know what they're dealing.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
They're actually doing better than this was the thing.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
So they tell me that, and all of a sudden,
my systemic jobs because as I have documented in the past,
I have neck problems. I'm always constantly living with neck
pain as well.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
You're just a mess.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I really you've repart I really have, and I've made
a lot of pain all the time.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
It was like you played football.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
Like a lot of concert. It's a lot of head banger.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
I don't know what people a lot of headboard banging.
That's not funny.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
That's not funny. You don't even have to get.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Out well on the foot is so many walks of shame,
you know, that's really I saw you.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
That's not where these injuries.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
But they did.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
That's that's all it happened, okay, And so they need
to do an MRI I and so did the well
well documented on the show MRIZ and me not very well.
And it'll go out very strong. Claustrophobia. I want to
share that I'm a coward claustrophobia. And then once I
get uncomfortable, I start spinning out and I have to
get out of the situation. So that was a nightmare.
(11:40):
But that was like that.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Those were like neck MRIs were like literally they put
you on the.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
Thing and then they put it like a neck cage
on your neck, and it was a nightmare. So like
those are horrible. So I maybely started spinning out that
I'm gonna get this MRI yesterday. But I find out
that it's just from the waist down.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Is that okay?
Speaker 4 (11:56):
That is okay?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
You can't move still.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
I can't move still, but I'm not locked in for
some reason for the.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
Waist up that locked in.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Feeling free, I'm so free and and like just my
foot being in there, my legs being there, not a
big deal. So I put my big girl pants on,
go get my MRI yesterday.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
A deal was very proud of myself.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Sky I did it.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I made it. I'm very proud of myself.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
So I did it.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
And so that was done.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
So surprisingly enough, though, they ended up calling me at
like forty minutes after my MRI. They already got the
results back and the doctor slash surgeon was already able
to look at him wow. So he had his assistant
already called me back and say.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
You have to come back in. It looks like you
had skis on.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
The MRI. Person commented that my foot was small.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
It was so small, small because it was on an
Imax screen.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
And I even told her that my coworkers tell me
I have big feet. And so the sister calls me
and says, we got some news for you. Oh you go,
And it wasn't good news.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Oh no.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
The news was that first of all, the osteo arthritis
around there is way worse than they thought, so it's
way more in depth. There's not just the cyst that's
sitting on the top that I could see with my eyes.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
There's a bone cyst that's that's developed.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
And also there's a fracture in between the big toe
and that, so there's a fracture that's also happened. So
that's really bad, Like that's everything's everything's worse, and then
there's just developed. Yeah, they didn't see the fracture in
these extra.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Do you honestly are you jumping on that trampoline?
Speaker 5 (13:41):
I don't jump on the trap.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
And so with that they said, they said, we're going
to need to heal the fracture before we can obviously
do the surgery. Now, the surgery, like I said, doesn't
happening to November, but the doctor needs to see that
fracture healed. Okay, So what they prescribed to me was
to be putting on and wearing for the next three
weeks a new walking boot.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Again, back, another boot, and another one and that one
looks like a shoe.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
It's like a shoe, so because I don't need to
protect my ankle for this one, so it's like it's.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Like a post surgical shoe.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
How did you get it so fast?
Speaker 4 (14:18):
I got an Amazon yesterday right after they called, and
it was going to be there a low yesterday evening.
You have to pay for that yourself, Yeah, it was
that they said I could go there, and they could
they would charge me like it's like forty dollars it's
more expensive. They shoot that. The nurse was like, just
get it on Amazon. She sent me a couple of links.
It was only nineteen dollars and I paid two dollars
for it to be there.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
You didn't have the one left over from your other engine.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
I do, that's in the garage.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
But it's still it's a big giant boot, which is
very like a lot of this isn't too bad, but
it's hideous looking.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
It's not cute. It's not cute.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
You can't wear sudress.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
You can't wear your sun dress or your short leggings. Yeah,
like you right now break because you're covered up with
those jeans, but tomorrow can be like eight degrees hideous.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
That's a lot.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
What am I going to do? What am I going
to do?
Speaker 1 (15:02):
So got she took the She took the foot.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
She took the focus off her foot by wearing a
really tight top today.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Oh I did, I think that's the plan? Look up here,
look up here?
Speaker 1 (15:15):
And I did. It's really weird about the I think
that's We're good. So we have to deal with this
walking boot now for three.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Weeks and I have to wear it. So if you
see me in here, not with it, yell at me
or something.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Why would you take it off idious?
Speaker 7 (15:32):
I mean her first, like fancy going out night event.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
You think that you have to wear it, you have
to wear it for three weeks?
Speaker 4 (15:39):
What you ever I do this Saturday? I have like
a fancy pool party at a really nice house.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Too bad, you have to wear it. Pool party.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
It's like an adult party with swimming and like a
chef fifty.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I don't care you're wearing it.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Why don't you say that?
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Why say it's a fancy pool party at a really
nice house.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
Because I feel like you can't cover it up at
a pool party. I'm not gonna wear jeans.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
You need to wear it. If you don't wear this
thing ain't gonna get healed. Okay, alright, you're not gonna
wear it. I heard I am wear gonna wear it?
All right? Well, god speed himing process. Appreciate it all right.
We already know how expensive it is here in San Diego,
but how expensive is it to have a wedding. I
(16:25):
can't even imagine. We're gonna see where San Diego ranks
in the most expensive cities for weddings. When we get
back on the show on Rock with five three. Weezer
one of the artists who are gonna be performing at
our iHeart Radio Music Festival, maybe being announcement yesterday, of course,
(16:45):
presented by Capitol One coming back to Las Vegas on
September eighteenth and nineteenth at T Mobile Arena. So obviously Weezer,
Massive Muse gonna be performing, Cardi Batch, Lainey Wilson, What
Benson Boom, what Snoop dog Bts? And to me the headliners,
(17:09):
the Goo Goo Dolls, all the goose what's up?
Speaker 8 (17:12):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (17:13):
That's right? That's right? Who should be in the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame?
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Yes, I have had that fight with thora, Thank you Eddie.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
How cool would it be if the set of the
stage was the peach pit after dark?
Speaker 1 (17:23):
That would be crazy. They did perform there, people in
the crowd would know why. It's like that brought out
by nat Oh that still he's dead?
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Oh not?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Bestco tickets go on zail Friday jeen twelfth at XS
dot com. Of course, you can win tickets before you
can even buy them, So listen for that keyword in
the nine o'clock hour. Win tickets to our iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Uh so we know how expensive. Everything is, especially here
in San Diego. It costs a lot. Everything costs a lot.
(17:54):
But I'm imagining it costs a crazy amount of money
these days to have a wedding. This is why Emily
is not getting married exactly. Thanks for saying that expensive.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
Too expensive.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Sure, that's the reason. Yeah, engaged for fifteen years, fifteen fifteen,
So yeah, obviously it's it's crazy expensive for anything. But yeah,
think about all the things that go into having a wedding.
You have to have a place to do it. That's
probably the most expensive venue. Even if you do it,
(18:26):
say in your backyard, you still got to probably feed people. Yeah, yeah,
by cake man crazy.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
If I did get married ever in my life, that's
what I would do is I would just like get
married somewhere like maybe on Sunset cliffs with like a small,
gript little beach, but like just for the vows and
like all that stuff, and then just do reception like
somewhere like my sister's house and do it like a
taco truck. I would make it as cheap as possible,
Like I don't how expensive it would be to like
we were just saying, to rent out a place and
(18:57):
like have the catering and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
I mean, well, you'd be no offense a little bit
of an older bride, so you know what I mean.
Probably wasn't no no.
Speaker 9 (19:05):
No no no no no no no no no no no
no no no no no no no no no no no.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
No no no no no no no no no no
no no no no no no no no no no
no no no no no no no no, no, no
no no. If it was fifteen years ago, Emily, there
was probably grand plans to have a big wedding. There
was a wedding fund.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Yeah, there was a wedding fund.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
I did tour one location, like back back back in
the day, and it was semi grand, not grand grand,
because I'm not fancy bride, like, I've never been that
chick planning a wedding like.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
That cares that much as far as that goes.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
But it was like a white a small winery somewhere
in amoul.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
And imagine that it was beautiful.
Speaker 10 (19:43):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
The bride was just shmammered. You know, wine, you drink
the whole thing. It didn't drink the whole winery.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
I didn't drink the whole crazy drink the whole win.
But that that was as fancy as I was going
to get. And I think back then, I think they
were giving me a quote or something like fifteen grand
and around that. Wow, but that was but that was
also food the venue cost do.
Speaker 6 (20:06):
What you got to do is hope for a pandemic,
and on the heels of it, when things are just
starting to open back up and everyone's afraid, you book
your venue and everything.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
That guy, did you get the fear price.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
You hoped for a pandemic?
Speaker 6 (20:18):
Yeah, and then everything was like half the price it was.
That's the same thing, same thing that the honeymoon. The
honeyment was half the price normally was.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
It was great, really lucky on that. But yeah, I
mean that sounds expensive, but imagine that price now it
probably triple that. Nuts nuts, So I gotta imagine our
fair city, San Diego is probably going to make the
list of the most expensive cities to have a wedding.
(20:48):
I'm guessing. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:49):
They did a recent study and they say the average
cost of a wedding in the US, when you talk
to the people who have backyard weddings all the way
to fancy weddings, the average cost is about thirty six
thousand dollars average.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
That's the average what cost Yeah, and.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
You're right, the venues number one, then the food, then
the photography, bar flowers.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Those are the top heavy hitters.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
And you said three times the price of what I pay.
That that makes sense. I got like fifteen grand back
then was probably average, and then now it's crazy. That
totally actually makes sense.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
To And then again that's the average for the US.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
But you want to be in a nice location, in
a nice town where people want to be.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
That's going to make a huge difference.
Speaker 7 (21:33):
So they looked at if you were to have a
bigger wedding, one hundred and fifty guests, what cities would
cost you the most in the US.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
To have that wedding.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
They let us know the top ten. So one hundred
and fifty guests. Number ten goes to Vegas, costing you
an average of sixty two thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Because it's supposed to be cheap, you go to Vegas,
hitched whatever. But if you actually do a legit wedding
like a room right, hotel rooms and everything else in
the sun, I mean, that's it's gonna.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
I wouldn't get married.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
I don't get married in Vegas, to do it like
Vegas got the chapel.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Like Kelly and zach On saved by the Bill.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Good reference and triple Stephanie.
Speaker 6 (22:18):
Yeah, excuse, I probably wouldn't do triplation Stephanie still triple hs. Basically,
drugged Stephanie and married her at the Little White Chapel.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Some would call it, some would call it a uh.
I don't want to say.
Speaker 6 (22:33):
The word no talking about I mean no, man called Yeah,
drugged her and then and then Bragg defens the command
that they had a long night afterwards.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
They're still married. They're still married in your wife. So
it worked out, had a long night after she was drugged.
Speaker 6 (22:48):
Yeah, apparently it was ninety nine.
Speaker 11 (22:52):
It's definitely a different time.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
Yeah, definitely, Okay.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
The number nine city most extensive to have a wedding goes.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
To Washington, d C.
Speaker 7 (23:02):
Average of sixty three thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Number eight.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
That's where we land.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
San Diego, w top three.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
Yeah, San Diego sixty five, grand above us LA sixty seven,
Boston sixty eight, number five, Cheyenne, Wyoming at seventy one thousand.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
You want a wedding on a ranch or something cool,
it would be amazing. Yeah, but it's gonna cost you.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
Number four Chicago eighty one grand, Number three San Jose,
California eighty two, one thousand, Number two San Francisco eighty five,
and number one by far goes to New York, coming
in at ninety nine thousand.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Dollars just under one hundred grand.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Yeah, I get it. Loped.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
Go to Jersey, go to the courthouse, and go out
to dinner, okay, Jersey.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Uber puts out every year their list of the lost
and items in their cars. Well, you know, the things
that people leave behind the most and the most unusual
items that people have left behind. We're gonna go over
that coming up next on the show at rocket of
five three. So every year Uber releases their annual Lost
(24:18):
and Found list. Now this is a list that sort
of goes over the most things that people leave behind
in ubers and things like that, but then they also
release the most unusual things that passengers have left behind
as well. So it's always fascinating.
Speaker 7 (24:35):
Yeah, it's it's very wild what people are traveling with
and then what they don't notice they've left behind. So,
of course the most common things phones, wallets, luggage, keys, headphones, glasses, jewelry,
those are the most common.
Speaker 11 (24:50):
Your luggage behind that's pretty wild, Like maybe it's in
the trunk, you just forget and then they drive away
and then like a minute later you're like, oh, yeah,
my coat.
Speaker 6 (24:59):
You forget your jack always forget my jacket. Hate I
hate wearing jackets. I hate it because I always forget
it ruins the outfit, okay or mix out?
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Hello Hello.
Speaker 7 (25:12):
It turns out we're the most forgetful on Sundays, just
out of all the days of the week, Sundays is.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
That midnight Saturday night, because then.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
If it's early Sunday morning, then that makes a lot
of one. Yeah, that's so true.
Speaker 7 (25:29):
And the most forgetful day of the year, just so
we can all, you know, be on alert is July seventeenth,
so kind.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Of right around the corner peak summer.
Speaker 7 (25:38):
I don't know, I think of peak summer partying. I'm yeah, yeah,
very odd. But what were the strangest things left in
ubers this year?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Top of the list, we have an ankle monitor. Supposed
to get it, you're not supposed to take it off,
and then I did.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Was it like trouble or what's the copa?
Speaker 7 (26:01):
Is off.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Huh oh, throw them off.
Speaker 7 (26:02):
They don't know where you are. They're chasing an uber
thinking you're in there. Brilliant, Yeah, brilliant.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
By the way, an oxygen tank.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
How do you I feel you need that?
Speaker 4 (26:10):
You need that?
Speaker 1 (26:12):
And how do you get out of the car and
not realize you don't have your tank?
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Huh?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Crazy?
Speaker 7 (26:17):
A group autographed picture featuring Donnie Osmond.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
I mean, somebody's surprized, like the treasure.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
Somebody got that from some like auction.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
I have a million questions like where were you? Did
you just go see the Osmond's perform? Is this in Utah?
Or where is that? Like in Vegas at the residency?
Like where did this happen? Because if it's a group photo,
it's all the Osmin's I'm guessing Yeah, well Donnie featured,
he's the star. Yeah, but Marie couldn't get get out
(26:50):
of here with Marie, you know, I have.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
I feel like you were at some like middle school
gala fundraiser and you won that too much wine somebody
I feel like I would maybe also you forget it.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
Making the list of unique items left behind an ubers,
we have George Washington's hospital discharge papers, again, something you
must have bought at an auction or something.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
I mean that, what was he discharged for? I don't know.
I have so many questions for that. Read those fake.
Speaker 7 (27:30):
Yeah, no, I see stuff like that on Antiques Roadshow
all the time.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
People's pride and glory.
Speaker 7 (27:35):
Maybe they were on their way to Antiques Roadshow and
left it in the It would come up.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
In American pickers as well. Oh, you're right, they would
want that.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
They definitely a brand new mini fridge left behind.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
You paid for a mini fridge and then you just
forget it brand new? It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
A live fish. Someone took care of it.
Speaker 7 (27:59):
One goal a Louis baton heel, just so they were
able to get out of the car with the other
one on, not realizing sometimes.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Or maybe you took them both off, one of them
fells off, or you drop it or whatever, and then
you just didn't realize it. That's my guess. A wizard's
Wand how then do you do the spills? They'll never
be able to find it.
Speaker 7 (28:21):
All the magic's gone. A portable thermal printer left behind.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
That seems like a lot. A toboggan.
Speaker 11 (28:29):
Oh no, yeah, that's pretty wide on the roof an XLB.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
You'd have to get that at the x L.
Speaker 7 (28:37):
Don't really know what this means. A quote pelvis implant.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Yep, that's next for Emily. Okay, there's so many things needing.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
Part of my body.
Speaker 8 (28:48):
That's not a lot of so many yeah.
Speaker 7 (28:51):
Ok, twenty pounds of duck sausage left behind in an uber.
Speaker 11 (28:57):
Twenty pounds. The ducks must have been in the trunk.
Speaker 5 (29:01):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 7 (29:02):
A child's prosthetic eye, you like, did it pop out?
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Why would you were you bringing it? I don't. I
don't have questions. I don't want anything about that.
Speaker 7 (29:13):
And the final weird thing left in an Uber this
year on their annual list a meat slicer, A big
old meat.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Yeah, like a deli meat slicer.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
I'm surprised Emily doesn't have a meat slicer.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
I actually did that recently recently.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
I feel like she would have met Why did you
ever need a meat?
Speaker 4 (29:32):
I recently my own roasted turkey breast so that I
could have.
Speaker 5 (29:34):
To make my own deli meat.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
And then she I feel like she come in here
bragging about it and then tell me it's that her
son says it's better than.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
And then uses it once. Yeah, uses it once.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Yeah, but I don't want to spend like three hundred dollars.
Speaker 8 (29:49):
On it, you don't, Yeah, just go get some She
tries to use a paper cutter.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
That's true. Speaking of we heard about Emily's medical issues earlier, Well,
she did have something at the doctor's office that went
down that was wildly embarrassing, like wildly embarrassing. We're gonna
hear what is she did? That is pretty crazy when
we get back on the show A five three. So
(30:20):
if you were listening earlier, you heard the slew of
medical issues that Emily is going through right now. Bodies
just falling apart. It really is tough.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
It really is.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Neck issues, ankle issues, foot issues, I.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Mean all over the place. It's a nightmare back yeah, everything.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
When you got to carry the family, huh, thank you
for sad.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
We hit a certain age things start going.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
That's very true.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
It is true.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
It's not fun.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
No, it's not fun.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
So you know you've been going to these different doctor's
appointments and things like that, Well, I guess something happened
recently out of doctor's appointment that is wildly embarrassed.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Really bad, Eddie, really really bad. Yeah, so I've been
trying to, you know, stay on top of my health.
We're all on a health.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
I guess.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
So I just don't like to use the word journey
because it's wotious.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
It's really rude.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Sorry, sorry Eddie, But yeah, we're all we're all going
through it, and I'm trying to stay on it and
stay with my doctor's appointments. And I recently had to
scheduled appointment at the dermatologist. I know, I'm trying to
work on my adult acne and why I still get
zits like I did when I was in high school.
It's just brutal and like nobody could really figure it out,
(31:36):
like what's going on. So that sucks. So that's kind
of like why I scheduled the appointment. But also while
I'm there, I might as well get the whole body
scan of the dermatologist to look over head to toe,
make sure I don't have many skin over my molas
and stuff like that. So I scheduled that appointment. And
like I had had this one lady, she's like a
(31:57):
nurse practitioner, and she was fine. She was kind of
a bitch to me, to be honest. I wouldn't really
like her attitude. I agree, it was kind of weird.
I don't know something about her.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
You agree, Yeah, Emily, I told me with her too.
Speaker 7 (32:08):
Yeah yeah, I like to accompany people in their appointments,
like my husband.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (32:13):
No, like because I do the annual mole mole check
as well. So Emily and I were talking about it,
and she was telling me how unhappy she was with
her dermatologists because it was just like a refill of
the prescription, and the dermatologist wouldn't give.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
It to her unless she like came in there physically.
Speaker 7 (32:30):
And it's like, but I ran out of my prescription
that you gave me, Why won't you refill it?
Speaker 5 (32:35):
It was thank you for remembering that sky.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
It was like the topical solution that I use for
like the bad sits I get, like on my chin,
and I had run out of it and I was
due to see her, and I messaged on the portal
for a refill and she writes back, I won't refill
it until you come see me, and I said, okay,
I understand. As soon as I can get is like
a month and a half out right, you're out now,
And so I even so we kind of argued back
(32:57):
and forth, and I had already not liked her demeanor
in the past, and I even sent her a photo
of the giant like underground like cystic acne I had
on my chin. I sent a photo of it. She goes, sorry,
I can't help you until you come in. And so
I was telling Sky about that, I'm sitting here, like, really,
it's not like a medication that you ingest. It's like
a topical thing. You can't just schedule my appointment you
(33:19):
could see. So yeah, So I got rid of her,
and I decided I wanted to see somebody else at
the same practice. So this was a new person, a
new male dermatologist, which is fine, like in the past,
the guy that delivered my son, it was a male.
So like, I'm fine seeing anybody, Like, I don't have
a preference guy the guy.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Yeah, Like it didn't.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
Guy, we picked the way to the hospital.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
I was weird. He worked at a better buzz.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
It was fine, dude, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
He seemed like he was qualified.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Swooped him up. So like, I don't really care to
have met preference over male of female. It doesn't bother
me either way. Whoever's like gonna this see me the
soonest basically.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Anyone wearing a white coat.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Honestly, you've got a stethoscope, that's a bonus.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Extra's far, but can you look at this thing on
my bood?
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Honestly, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
So I get this appointment to go see this male dermatologist,
and I go back with the nurse and she gives
me the gown and all this other stuff. You put it,
you know, forward the openings in the back, take everything off.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
You can keep your underwear on.
Speaker 5 (34:28):
So that's where we're at.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
And so then I'm sitting there waiting and then in
walks the doctor, and the doctor walks in the door,
and I'm immediately taking aback.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
This guy is absolutely gorgeous.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Oh gorgeous.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Gorgeous like model style, gorgeous, like dark hair, dark eyes,
oh like probably looks like he's in his like mid thirties,
mid to late thirties, like like, it looks like it's
an actor. It's not really shouldn't be a doctor like
the set.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Of er or something. Per Tony walked walked in the
door and I didn't see it coming.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Wow, And I'm not, you know, really put together, neither
does it matter? But like immediately I'm like, this is
kind of weird. This guy is so hot.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
You say you don't care.
Speaker 4 (35:12):
I don't care normally, but most of them are that hot.
But no, none of them look like that.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
That's why you don't care.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
I mean, you don't need to make a comment about
my hair being up at a bun right now. I
don't know I'm asking that sour looking face. I'm just
asking you're doing that right in front of it. Hey, it
actually was, I think it was. You don't need to
do that. Now. The nurse stays in the room the
whole time, she's taking notes, and I don't know, maybe
that's a new law that they have to have a
(35:40):
male guy, a male nurse, a male guy, a male doctor.
I mean, do they have to have the nurse stay
in the room or something, so she's in the room
the whole time, which obviously is fine. A three banger,
that's not happening.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
We don't need to play that that music. I'm getting inspected.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
That's how it starts. A lot of you guys.
Speaker 5 (36:04):
Watch too much stuff on the internet.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Okay, really a bull, It's ridiculous. Okay, sorry, So I'm
sitting there.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
I got my gown on wearing a hot pink thong.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
This is something that we.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Yes, doctor, appointment underwear.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (36:34):
I do that every day.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
There's your giant white underwears. Okay, yeah, hot air ballon.
Speaker 7 (36:43):
What is this night of the club and there's no
skid marks for the club?
Speaker 5 (36:50):
Wonder I chose for the day?
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Weird?
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Okay, went into it.
Speaker 9 (36:53):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
So I'm sitting there, hot doctor, and he starts looking out,
you know, my face first and looks at all the
different things and no sunspots there. There's my shoulders, looks
at the mole on my shoulder, all this other stuff.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
We're all good.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Looks at my legs, looks at my feet, looks at everything.
He didn't gasp when he's on my feet. Okay, well,
as we discussed earlier, they're eight and a halfs. They
just look bigger than they are because I have very
skinny ankles, thank you very much. And then it's time
to look at my back, and that's what he says, Okay,
(37:29):
go ahead and stand up.
Speaker 5 (37:30):
So I stand up and he's sitting in his.
Speaker 4 (37:32):
Little like, you know, really really stool thing that he's
sitting on wheeling around whatever I do, I always have
those weel things.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
Why can't just get a regular chair out?
Speaker 4 (37:39):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (37:39):
You got to be able to wiggle around, Yes, I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
So he's sitting on that, and so I'm facing the
nurse who's at the computer, and my back is towards him,
and I'm standing up and I didn't I realized I
didn't tie the thing right.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
It's the gown, right.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
It's always like I never know which ties to match up,
and I feel like those are really tricky, and I
didn't tie it correctly. So the back was left open
a little bit. Oh, so it wasn't really covered. But
I mean he's got to look back there anyway totally.
And that's when, because he's so good looking, I got
a weird vibe, like like a vibe like now this
is kind of uncomfortable, like this is not the doctor
(38:16):
patient vibe.
Speaker 5 (38:17):
And I think it was probably me making it.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
He was doing anything but weird that he wants his license. Yeah,
i'd you think he's gonna throw it all away for Emily, For.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
A forty two year old woman with her hair and.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Above that hot pink thong, I might just say yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
You think so. I think I internally like started feeling
weird and I'm not like when I'm awkward and uncomfortable,
it just exudes out of my like you could feel
it is like you could feel it, like it just
is an aura. I think that I give off possibly,
and that's when I get a little bit nervous and
uncomfortable and I can't kind of black out, and I
don't really know what he's saying to me, and that's
(39:01):
when i'm what I think he says is okay, because
he's looking at my back, back, back, going down my back.
Now he's at my lower back, and I think he's saying, okay,
now pull down your underwear. And that's when I get
even more uncomfortable, going, why would I need to do appointment?
Speaker 1 (39:19):
No, why would you ever need to pull down your underwear?
Speaker 4 (39:22):
Maybe like the ty part of the thong was blocking
some part that he wanted to look at, but at
that point he would just probably move it to the side.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
Yeah, that's what my my dermatologist does.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
She'll just you have.
Speaker 6 (39:32):
A giant that's covering from belly button down to knees.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Just to get the jaws of life out.
Speaker 7 (39:39):
But she'll just pull the elastic back a little and
just look and then snap it back.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
You have the scene in the Hangover where they're at
the doctor's office and there's that old guy just staying
there in his underwear.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
What that's Scott.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Have you not?
Speaker 7 (39:56):
But yes, but but that's at least what I've always experienced.
It's just a quick little peak and then done just
to make sure there's no Molly Molly Molly's or anything.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
Huh. Well, so I thought he said, pulled down your underwear.
I pulled my thong down, like I'm taking my underwear off.
Stop it, and it's like down like below my butt cheeks.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Oh, he goes, well, what are you doing? He goes, oh,
don't do that. Shut up? What stops me?
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Says what basically, what I'm doing is inappropriate? What are
you doing? And like, oh my god, I'm so sorry,
and I pull them up. It is the most uncomfortable
situation ever. I made it even more uncomfortable though with
this hot doctor and basically like he was upset at me,
kind of like why did you just do that? And
so apparently I misheard him and he just wanted me
(40:46):
to move it to the side. Really quick with my
own hand to.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Give him the full show.
Speaker 4 (40:50):
I didn't want to give him the full show.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
I did take off your underwear, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
I mean your cheeks were already exposed, bro.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
We already exposed. Everything was already exposed. So I mean that's.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Taking your bung hole.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
I mean, I don't tan that area.
Speaker 5 (41:07):
I don't tan that area.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
So I pulled him up and he continues the exam
and it's just absolutely uncomfortable the entire rest, and you know, engorged,
I don't. I don't think he's fully engorged. You don't
need to say that.
Speaker 7 (41:18):
Well, And you know Emily like she gets hot, her
skin like bright red sweating.
Speaker 4 (41:24):
Of course, I'm sweating, like I'm sweating at the point
where I think like there.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Was like sweat sticky.
Speaker 4 (41:29):
The gown is sticky and there's like a mark on it.
It's like really really bad. So it turns out I
got no skin cancer. But like, do I go back
to this guy?
Speaker 1 (41:40):
You couldn't I kind of cancer. But you have a date.
Speaker 4 (41:43):
Yeah, I mean I don't have a data. I'm not
single really so, but he's better than that other bitch,
the one the doctor.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
I fig he's already seen everything, seen it all all.
Imagine that guy going home.
Speaker 6 (41:59):
Yeah, why if you're not going to believe this chick
was trying to start by going yeah and giant feet,
he's not gonna say that.
Speaker 5 (42:09):
Well, that's so I'm trying to recover from that.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
How could you think you over here? Pulled down?
Speaker 5 (42:15):
And I still stand by it.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
You said something along those lines along.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Those Why can't you never just admit you were wrong?
Clearly you were wrong.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Take your panties off?
Speaker 1 (42:25):
You did? You just did?
Speaker 3 (42:26):
I don't think he said panties.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Maybe I drop your panties.
Speaker 5 (42:31):
That music from earlier?
Speaker 1 (42:33):
Did he ask you?
Speaker 2 (42:33):
How's the pressure?
Speaker 4 (42:35):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (42:35):
That's that's uncomfortable.
Speaker 4 (42:37):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
The Padres are really having a hard time figuring things
out these days. It is not going well at all.
We're gonna see what happened in their game yesterday next
in sports shirt. Oh boy, the Padres just can't seem
to find the right formula these days. Nothing seems to
(42:59):
be worth I mean, it's just crazy, bad stretch. They
jumped out to an early lead off a Gavin Sheets
two run blast, and so you were like, oh, there
we go. That's a nice start against the Phillies. Randy
Vasquez was kind of cruising along until he served up
a cookie to Bryce Harper, who tied the game with
a two run home run of his own, so games
(43:21):
tied to two. Then the Phillies actually took the lead
and scored on a double play in the sixth run scored,
so they took the three to two lead. That's how
the game ended three to two. Padres couldn't score after that,
So just another one of those ones where you're like, man,
why can't we score runs? I don't know, why can't
(43:41):
we score with runners in scoring position? I mean, it's
just seems like it happens all the time.
Speaker 4 (43:46):
Yeah, at the beginning of the season we were doing
good at that.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
I don't know, I don't know. It's very frustrating. There
was one cool moment in the game as Jace Bowen
who got his first ever major league hit after he
got called up from the game. So he got his hit,
which is great. His parents were in the stands. It
was cool moments. Ramon and Loriano was placed on the
ten day injured list with a hip injury to bring
him up because I was wondering, why are they gonna
(44:09):
send somebody down. What's going on? No, actually, Razor Ramone
placed on injured Oh yeah, no, that stinks, Scott Hole.
Now it comes back, that'd be great. That'd be great.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Wrestling references.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Real, is Scott Hale?
Speaker 7 (44:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (44:22):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
The team also transferred Nick Pavetta to the sixty day
injured list, which that's just a housekeeping move. He's already
been out sixty years, so hopefully it comes back at
some point. I don't know. The Golden Knights took Game
one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, beating the Hurricanes five
to four. Vegas scored was just over three minutes left
to go in the third period to take the lead.
(44:44):
They were down early to nothing, but rallied back to
win Game one. Now, Game one of the NBA Finals
is tonight between the Spurs and the Knicks. In case
you were confused, Thor will let you know he is
decked out head to toe next gear. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (45:01):
I have a commitment tonight in recovery, but I'm missing
it because what my wife's like, how and I go.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
The Knicks haven't been in.
Speaker 6 (45:09):
The finals in twenty seven years, since I was twelve
years old. It may not happen again. In my lifetime.
Sorry now missing it? No, I can't, I can't miss it.
Speaker 4 (45:19):
Is this the new Knick shirt you bought yourself that
matches something you bought for your son Walker?
Speaker 2 (45:23):
Yes, this is my Knick shirt. My Knick's blue and orange.
Speaker 6 (45:27):
And then my Walker has a ones my Walker, my Walker,
because my son Walker has a onesie that he will
be wearing tonight.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
So I did. I took it.
Speaker 6 (45:35):
I got it from a website and it's wrapped by
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
Have time to wash it, and my wife wants me
to wash it before I.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
Put it on him. What's gonna happen? He's a like,
give me a drag, fine quick wash.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
So I seemed to wear for two minutes.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
Of a deal.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
He better be wearing it today. She's changing him right now.
She better put that onesie off.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
Oh he needs to wear it all day?
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Well yeah, why not for the game. It is a wristo.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
If he has a blowout, yeah, son of a bitch,
you don't.
Speaker 6 (46:06):
Don't put it on yet, Haley, my Knicks hat onto.
Speaker 1 (46:10):
I'm nicked out. Baby James Brunson could have a blowout.
I don't know. That's not funny. Good blowout Okay, I
thought blowout like oh no, no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Hope of Mitch Robinson plays it sounds like he his
hand touched something's questionable.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Yeah, so I don't know what happened.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Yeah, he's a hot head.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
So we'll see. Man, that's a big night's big night.
I told you yesterday about the endorsement deal that Steph
Curry signed with the Chinese company Leaning everybody, nobody knows
what that's going on. Yeah, well we didn't hear how
much it was for. Oh do we know? We know
now we know now this is a ten year, four
(46:51):
hundred million dollar deal. Shut your mouth. I'd signed that
thing too. Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not with Nike. I
don't care.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
It's why ten years now though, Like if I'm because
he'll still be a brand.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Yeah, but it's like Jordan or Lebron or anybody.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Yeah, that's true. I just maybe he'll get in the
media post career. Yeah, because like he's gonna have because
like I don't know, I just don't see him in that,
Like I don't know. It's gonna be interesting to see
what happens, you know, because that's great. Obviously he's a
hall of Famer, But like, I don't post career people
will stop seeing him as much unless he does like broadcasting.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
Or maybe this company becomes so big that now he's
the face of it. Maybe yeah, leaning.
Speaker 7 (47:33):
Like and what is he really yeah, like, what is
he really doing for four hundred million? He's wearing the brand,
he's the brand, and he's like posing for ads like
four hundred million.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
I guess he is like able to sign other athletes
to the brand, his brand because it's the Curry brandy
and so you know.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
The NBA is massive in China.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Yeah, wow, that's money. Yeah. I mean the fact that
we're talking about it, it's already kind of paying for itself. Yeah,
you know, we would never have talked about that company otherwise,
so it makes sense. I don't know if you ladies
will remember this. I know Thor will remember this. When
jose Canseco famously had a ball hit off his head
(48:15):
and go over the fence for a home run. So
he was in the outfield, he goes to catch it,
ball hits him in the head and it went over
the fence and it was a home run. It's one
of the more famous blunders in sports history. Like people
will talk. I mean it happened to like ninety three
somewhere around there, so it was it was crazy. Well
it happened again. Los Angeles Angels outfielder Joe Adell was
(48:37):
going back to make a catch when the ball hit
off his glove and then hit him in the head
and it bounced over the fence for a solo home run.
How hard is that to do?
Speaker 7 (48:49):
Like?
Speaker 1 (48:49):
It was crazy? Yeah, so I mean pretty embarrassing. That
not good? Yeah, not good. So there you go. That
is sports dirt for today. When you guys think of
certain smells, do you automatically associate that smell with a man?
Speaker 4 (49:09):
Definitely?
Speaker 1 (49:11):
I don't know. I don't know. We're gonna listen, sorry,
we're gonna see what smells we associate with a man.
Coming up next on the show, a rock with a
five three. So when you have a certain smell, there's
a certain smell in the air or whatever, do you
associate that smell with a man? Now, what would that
(49:31):
smell be? Beer beards? What do we got? Footballs? Yeah? Yeah,
what kind of man stuff are we talking about? Yeah?
It's best are doing this. I don't know what would
(49:52):
it be for me.
Speaker 4 (49:53):
It's just like that smell.
Speaker 12 (49:54):
Yeah, musk, you don't smell. Yeah, we don't need that. Yeah,
here smell. You're gonna say it. Construction side cutting wood
nothing yeah, man man yeah, oh yeah, because women can't
(50:14):
cut wood.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
Say that. Guy didn't man smell?
Speaker 4 (50:20):
I didn't say that.
Speaker 3 (50:21):
Yeah, like sawdust and fresh cut wood.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
Yeah, I didn't think about that. What I was just thinking,
like just the smell of men's deal it and men's fish.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
No, not fish fishing, no boat. No, I don't grease.
Speaker 4 (50:35):
I don't know what that smells like.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
Shot gun Yeah, bro, nothing smells better.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
The other one for me is charcoal and lighter fluid
like that.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
Because women are allowed by the barbecue, right.
Speaker 8 (50:49):
Sky, get in the kitchen.
Speaker 7 (50:53):
Women, you're making grills for us. Men you're making it
super sex.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
It just reminds me of.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
Growing up my dad. I got danglars starting the barbe
I go to the girl.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
No one wants to talk about your danglars.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
You want to talk about smells for.
Speaker 3 (51:07):
The record, What what are you guys doing that's.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
Talking about smells? You brought it up.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
I didn't bring it up.
Speaker 7 (51:16):
It was a thread on the internet and a lot
of people gave their two cents of if they smell something,
not something gross or weird, but if they smell something
it either reminds them of their husband, of their father,
and it makes them think of like men.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
Hey, Emily has a blackstone I do girls? Yeah, what
about that? Am I am? I not a man? You
don't smell like a man.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Again, I'm not talking about you're talking about me h.
He used to like when we used to.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
Give that up?
Speaker 11 (51:47):
Yeah, like fifteen years stop.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Yeah, I don't care for barbecue things.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
So he can't grow.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
Well, he can if he wants, but he's going to
be the old what eating it?
Speaker 4 (52:00):
You know?
Speaker 3 (52:01):
So table for ooon?
Speaker 1 (52:03):
You know what we are we doing here? You know?
So you know normally when you cook in a house,
you cook for you get everyone different meals anyway.
Speaker 7 (52:10):
Okay, so we're gonna get takeout and he's gonna stand.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
By the barbecue by himself.
Speaker 7 (52:14):
I don't think he loves it that much to barbecue
one steak you.
Speaker 4 (52:18):
Don't like like a pizza, grilled chicken, not with barbecue sauce.
I'm not talking about barbecue sauce on it.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
Like it doesn't have to be like black charge.
Speaker 7 (52:24):
No, but like if it has the charred flavor to it,
I I don't care for a gas girl.
Speaker 1 (52:30):
Yeah, no, thank you, No, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
Just throw that busy an Okay, I'm sorry, Just throw
it in the oven.
Speaker 7 (52:38):
Like I'm not going to get a whopper because I
don't care for the char broiled taste.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
You would never have a whopper no matter what.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
Well, that's a better point, but I'm just saying, if
I had a pick between burgers, I'm not going there.
Speaker 7 (52:49):
But the smell of charcoal and lighter fluid always makes
me think of my dad.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
Man, what about meat? No, no, not.
Speaker 7 (52:58):
Just just just but that did come up on the list.
Made bacon came up a lot.
Speaker 1 (53:04):
Women don't eat bacon.
Speaker 7 (53:05):
Okay, again, you're you're twisting this. It doesn't mean women
don't do these things.
Speaker 1 (53:10):
It's just a yeah, bacon washed down we're doing here.
I don't know what we're doing either, confused.
Speaker 7 (53:19):
So there's nothing like that you smell that makes you
think of like your dad and growing up and like
a like a guy smell like disappointment.
Speaker 3 (53:26):
Oh no, like motor oil.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
Does that make me think of my dad?
Speaker 3 (53:32):
Well, I know your dad. Ind Like a lot of
plane stuff.
Speaker 7 (53:34):
So I would think like oil and like mechanics stuff
like you wouldn't come home at the end of the
day smelling like like something like he's been working on something.
Speaker 3 (53:43):
Nope, okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (53:46):
He was.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
He was the front of the house. Oh, the book guy, Well,
he was the owner of the business, so he wasn't
actually in there working on the planes.
Speaker 4 (53:55):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
I always thought he was in there tinker.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
And he knew how and if he had to, he
would get in there. But he was the owner of
the business, so he was doing the books. He was
cooking the books.
Speaker 4 (54:05):
Paper cook in the books.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
I think that means something else. It does.
Speaker 7 (54:08):
Yeah, Yeah, lots of people named campfires.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
Okay, you're kind of maybe because that's all we would
do is go camping. I mean I I don't associate
it really with that. I just associate it with camping.
Speaker 4 (54:19):
Yeah, a lot of these things I don't.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
I just yeah, I don't think of man smell when
I think of campfires.
Speaker 7 (54:26):
But then, yeah, brought up a lot freshly mode grass.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
I mean, me and Thor had to do that growing up.
Do we think of do we think of men? And
my parents? The lawnmower in the basement. She had to
drag it up all the way up to the stairs.
You didn't have a garage, no, really, no.
Speaker 6 (54:43):
Garageage really, so I drive I drank all that the stairs.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
Oh that sounds miserable, dude. Locker room mentioned quite a bit. Yeah,
that's just we do.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
But I think they smell different, do they?
Speaker 1 (55:00):
I think?
Speaker 4 (55:01):
I don't know. I've never been in a men's locker room.
Speaker 1 (55:03):
Come on.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
Pipe smoke was mentioned.
Speaker 5 (55:09):
That's actually good one. My dad smoked a pipe.
Speaker 4 (55:11):
Do you really not until not in as recent years.
Speaker 5 (55:13):
But we're growing up as a little girl.
Speaker 1 (55:16):
Only like old guys. He wasn't old when you were younger.
Speaker 4 (55:20):
Yeah, you know, get a beard, smoked pipe, smoked a pipe.
Speaker 1 (55:26):
Wheat pipe back? Dan?
Speaker 4 (55:29):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (55:30):
Dan, I mean he's past now? Jo is weird joke.
Hardware store was mentioned a lot. When you walk into
a heart you know what, I now into an orchard
supply hardware. I may smell my dad, you think because
that guy lived at at he was there all the time.
(55:53):
It's like a yeah, we never had home depots growing up.
I don't think.
Speaker 6 (55:58):
I think home deepot has a smell, but like if
I see it, I don't know. When I see a
home deep, I think of my dad, and I think
of him being there for so long, walking around the.
Speaker 4 (56:10):
Miserable, asking all kinds of questions.
Speaker 2 (56:13):
What a ridiculous thing to ask.
Speaker 6 (56:15):
Of course he was, and he'd be in the aisles,
always looking confused and always thinking of things, looking at screws,
and I wanted to slow my brains out.
Speaker 5 (56:25):
My dad actually worked at home deepot for a little bit.
Speaker 4 (56:28):
And if he had come across your dad, big Vic,
that would have been bad. Because my dad actually got
let go because he didn't it wasn't excited to help people.
Speaker 1 (56:36):
Yourself? Yourself? What what? What aisle is the paint on?
I don't know to look on the app? Why aren't
I don't know? Okay, I don't know. Yeah, is terrible.
Speaker 7 (56:51):
Also brought up a lot was the and this is
very specific. Uh this is not in my world, but
the oil that's used to break in a baseball glove.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
Oh yeah, lots of people say they smell that. They
think their brothers oil. That's what that's called. Newspaper smell.
What about Thor's mom read the newspaper? She does?
Speaker 4 (57:16):
She still read that thing?
Speaker 6 (57:17):
Yeah, but it's online now. They still subscribe to the
Long Island News Day New York news Day.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
They moved online, but they live online.
Speaker 6 (57:26):
But she read the newspaper every day, so so my dad.
They both read read the paper, and then I'd grab
the sports section.
Speaker 2 (57:32):
Look at the sports section.
Speaker 1 (57:33):
See, I think of when growing up, we had a
wood fire stove, and so I would crumple up newspaper
and then start with one of my jobs. I had
to start the fire, and so I think of that
newspaper smell about me, about you. I am a man,
but I mean, but I'm smelling myself like that, because
then you smell like it, like you can't fire or
(57:54):
fire when you get all that, it's miserable.
Speaker 7 (57:59):
Yes, And finally brought up multiple times on the thread
of smells that remind people of man old leather. Yeah, yeah,
I don't know anybody in our lives.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
A lot of leather.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
I was surprised. No deodorant.
Speaker 1 (58:17):
Yeah, well why, I mean, I think that they're talking
about others smell but whatever. All right, Well that was weird.
It's ma getting a weird. It's gonna get weird in
here for sure, because of course it's Wednesday. That means
it's Thor's been week meltown when we get back on
the show, A rock with a five three. So whenever
he's a little under the weather, the midweek meltdowns get
(58:41):
a little bit more testy, if you will. So we'll
see how this goes. As it's time for Thors midweek
meltwn and now.
Speaker 8 (58:49):
The show is happy to bring you.
Speaker 1 (58:52):
I have some respectors midweek melt.
Speaker 8 (59:00):
Me.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
Yeah. Uh got a little bit of a cold all week,
and so the patience level is a little bit not
you know, a little thin, if you will. So it
worries me what he's gonna be attacking here in the
midweek meltdown. A little nervous. This is a little off
the wall.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
Oh yeah, a little off the walk next year on.
Speaker 3 (59:21):
Go next Oh maybe that'll make him happy, Maybe this.
Speaker 1 (59:24):
Will be well see, yeah, we'll see. I'm nervous, ervy, rvy, guys,
stop it h me melting down about Jalen Brunson next week.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
I don't know, maybe you know, I wasn't a fan
of the Giants re signing Odell Beckham recently.
Speaker 6 (59:42):
Granted that's not what this is about. Granted it's only
like the Vet minimum deal. So he may not even
make the team, so we'll see who knows.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
But no, Recently, I've noticed something.
Speaker 6 (59:52):
That really bothered me. And this You may find this stupid,
but I don't care. You get annoyed by everything everything.
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
I'm tired of athletes and celebrities who keep getting chances
when their careers are over to have more jobs and
stealing jobs for normal people. Here's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
What, Here's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
I'm randomly watching a baseball game the other day, okay,
and they start talking about somebody and they're the commentators.
It's not like a video montage, but the commentators are
kind of talking about this former athlete.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Who's doing this cool who like, grinded.
Speaker 6 (01:00:26):
Really hard, defied the odds. That's time they make it
seem like defie the odds. He's got this second career
going and he's great at it, and they can't believe it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
And I'm thinking, man, who are they talking about? Because
it's because I'm watching.
Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
It's the Yankee game I'm watching.
Speaker 6 (01:00:41):
They zoom the camera back and they show a guy
who's sitting there with a camera, one of those big
camera like they're doing Getty images. And I'm like, man,
this guy must he must have really loved taking pictures.
Who is this It turns out to be Ken Griffy Junior.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Yeah, And I say to myself, really, Griffy didn't grind
to get there.
Speaker 6 (01:01:05):
You know how he got there. He had six hundred
and thirty home runs. That's how he got there. And
I said to myself, this is insane. Why does Griffy
get this job? And exactly are you.
Speaker 5 (01:01:16):
Sitting there taking photos?
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
So then and at the All Star Game? He was
at the All Star Game.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
He's at the super Bowl and he has this prime
time job.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Taking professional photos. And people were acting like, oh, look
at the kid. How did he get it? Called the kid?
How did he get that gig? How hard did he work?
He didn't work hard all. You know what probably really happened.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
He probably took a picture of a bird sent to
his agent and she goes, hey, can you want to
take pictures for Getty Images?
Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
Like that's what happened.
Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
So he didn't start at a little local.
Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Newspaper, and.
Speaker 8 (01:01:47):
He wasn't like he wasn't like Peter Parker working his way.
I'm so tired of it, man, I'm really confused. It's
such bs.
Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
It's like there's another guy too that does this, Randy Johnson,
the Big Unit, the guy who had almost five thousand strikeouts.
And they think, these commentators think it's so cute and
funny to see the big Unit out there taking picture.
Good for him, Yeah, he takes pictures too, he's on
the sideline.
Speaker 6 (01:02:15):
And it's like, these these a holes who made millions
of dollars. You can't just retire. You can't just retire. Aby, No,
it's not. It's a job.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Do they get paid. They're getting paid baby robbing.
Speaker 6 (01:02:30):
But what's crazy is you get people that go to
college to be a photographer.
Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
They do four years at a school.
Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
They get into thousands of dollars of debt, they get
out and they're good at it. But there's kenngrivigr taking
a picture.
Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
So you can't get that job.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
And it sucks and I'm over it and it's not right, man,
over it, I am.
Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
I don't know, I don't even know what he's happenings at.
Speaker 6 (01:02:53):
All levels, and I'm over it and it's done and
it's not right. There are some former athletes who actually
like made a career post, like Roger Stallback. He played
for the Cowboys Hall of Famer, one of the NFL greats.
He got into commercial real estate and sold this business
like four hundred million dollars. He actually grinded and did something.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
A Putts like.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Ken Griffith Junior just decided I'm bored, I need to
do something, So I'm gonna steal jobs from kids who
need them and take and take pictures.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
So, I mean, couldn't it be the same thing with you?
Brought up Roger Staubuck. He's using his name to become
a successful businessman after his.
Speaker 6 (01:03:32):
Career technically, but you have to be good at it
to be a to do what he did.
Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
So do you think Ken Griffy is a terrible photographer?
I think he's I think he's probably fine. Fine, but
you're stealing job Okay, stealing jobs jobs.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
It's not right and it doesn't just it's an our
world too, baby, it's an our world too.
Speaker 1 (01:03:51):
When was the last time we had.
Speaker 6 (01:03:51):
Fernando Tatis Junior on this show? Well, never won't come
on the show, No reason why. We're ten Diego's number
one show.
Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
True, but guess but guess who has Toddy on Mookie
Bets with his god awful podcast? I don't know if
you've heard this before, but this moron sits down mid
season with other players and has a terrible podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
You're gonna give it up.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
I know it's I know it's a favorite player, but
everybody to watch.
Speaker 6 (01:04:24):
But every former athlete, every former athlete or current athlete
now has a podcast because they think.
Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
Well, people want to hear what I have to say
and then what you do.
Speaker 12 (01:04:32):
But but.
Speaker 6 (01:04:34):
Like the count bers Art example, because they're decent at it,
Mookie Bets is terrible. So then what happens is their
buddies come on like Tatis or I don't know, Manny
Machado goes on.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
There, and they stop doing actual shows who know what
they're doing and are entertaining and funny. So it screws us.
Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
It screws us because some idiot wants.
Speaker 6 (01:04:54):
To have a podcast. Just stay in your lane, bro.
Why do they need to steal more jobs? Why is
the gap getting wide and wider now with the rich
and the poor?
Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
Podcasts started by like normal people to do fun things,
but then the all the out of work actors, all
the loser athletes who wanted more of a say in things,
took it from us. And then we watched them because
they have better connections. It sucks and it doesn't matter
how entertaining you are, and the GAP's just getting wider
and wider and wider. Not good, it's not good.
Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
Fired up. I didn't even realize, Well, I don't, I
don't know. I I thought that Ken Griffith thing was
just a hobby. He likes taking pictures. I didn't think
he was stealing jobs from anybody. They are. I mean,
I said, I think so, you don't even know. I
think so, so you don't even know. I think if
he's actually I think he's getting paid. Wait, hold on
(01:05:46):
a minute, dude, you've done this whole thing and you
don't even know if he's actually stealing a job.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
You don't even know what he wouldn't get He wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
It's if it's a hobby and they give me press pass,
that'd be weird, But he doesn't.
Speaker 6 (01:06:00):
Why would they let him be on the sideline with
the press pass?
Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
What he likes? He likes to take pictures, that's his thing.
It's like a hobby. I think it's a hobby. I
don't think he's actually getting pressure. Yes, kenra Junior gets
paid for the photography where, thank god.
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Thoughts doesn't say how much he gets made.
Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
It doesn't, but he did it for the masters and
against press. I don't know he's hour, but it's ridiculous picture.
I don't think I feel like doing this.
Speaker 8 (01:06:28):
And on the sideline, yeah, I know, it's weird to
me that you don't get obviously, these guys are using
their newer thing, though their.
Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Likeness, their names, to get the newer thing.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
It's like every out of work.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Amy Pohler. I like Amy Poehler.
Speaker 6 (01:06:44):
She can't she's not really acting anymore. So she started
a podcast. She's not doing the research. She's not she's
not coming up with these questions. But she won Podcast
of the Year at the Golden Globe is because she
had Michelle Obama on its her first guest. I mean,
it's ridiculous, and the good podcast people actually do the
work get.
Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
Screwed and just more of a gap between the rich
and the poor.
Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
More of a gap guy.
Speaker 7 (01:07:10):
It is frustrating when these guys are already the billionaires.
Like maybe I'm hoping Ken Griffy takes his Getty salary
and donates it to something. I doubt it, but but
you're right, because it is taking a job from somebody
who probably hustles.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
In the sports media world.
Speaker 6 (01:07:28):
What's gonna start happening is is that you only get
the guys like Mookie Betts to have their buddies on.
But they're never gonna ask them hard hitting questions. They're
gonna ask, hey, why can't you hit right now? They're
never gonna saying like that, So then we never get
real answers. We never get real answers, we never get
real questions. It's just buddy buddy st And that's what
Draymond Green is basically doing now in the NBA.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
He's saying the sports.
Speaker 6 (01:07:49):
Media world sucks and all the athletes shouldn't go on
their stuff anymore, and they should only go on other
athletes stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
Which isn't good either because then it's all fluff.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Like Rod just said, So, I'm I think the Congress
to get involved bigger.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
You're making no sense. Photographers, it's just over it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
I don't, okay all because I saw a Cannggrafford Jr.
Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
Doing photography backwards hat. That's great profession. He's the kid
read him alone.
Speaker 4 (01:08:25):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
It just was so crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
They were acting like how did he get that job. Well,
that's how did you do it?
Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
That's weird? I think we know how Obviously yesterday was
election day, did everybody Well, the main thing that people
were wondering about isn't about the governor. It's about the
mayor race in l A. How did Spencer Pratt do?
That's all people want to know. Well, we're going to
(01:08:50):
see if the reality star is still in the race
or not, coming up next on the show and walk
with a five three. So yesterday is the election day.
Weird June, I don't know. So we were voting on things,
but it was kind of confusing because people thought we
(01:09:14):
were voting for like who's going to be the next government,
and no, you vote to see who's going to be
on the ballot in November exactly. And so that was
a that was a big deal. But nobody cares really
about anything other than what the heck is going on
with the Los Angeles mayoral election because Spencer Pratt.
Speaker 4 (01:09:39):
Is running for mayor, which is insane. Yeah, but also
not yeah, which is even it's not crazy.
Speaker 6 (01:09:48):
After we're after you become a washed up loser reality star,
you can go into politics like you would think politics
are more prestigious and having more integrity than reality show stars,
and you.
Speaker 7 (01:10:02):
Would think all the crazy, stupid stuff you do on
said reality show could be held against you being a.
Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
Politician, because he's a horrible human. I watched obviously Laguna Beach,
I watched The Hills religiously, and then I even watched
this Petty Spencer spinoff and on social media everywhere. I'm
not proud of it. He's a pos We all know that, right.
He's born and raised in Los Angeles. His parents were loaded.
He's never had a job in his life.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Never.
Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
He doesn't know how. He's never worked in his life.
He doesn't know how to run anything. The only business
he's ever run is his crystal business. He started a
business buying crystals. He's a watar crystal Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Christ Energy. Can anybody with a brain vote for him?
So here's what's going on, in my opinion is that
politicians in general have ruined everything, and nobody wants to
vote for career politicians now, and you know they do
want to drain the swamp. And so if you get
(01:10:58):
out there, it doesn't matter if you're a real all
these star or not. You're a name. So I'm familiar
with you if you say the right things and say
the things that people want to hear. Yeah, and it's
kind of crazy, you know, like nothing out of that
stuff is ever really going to get done, but you
want to hear it, and I want to hear that.
I want to hear that, Oh yeah, I'm going to
fix all this stuff that you know everybody wants done.
(01:11:20):
But that's never really going to happen. But I'm hearing it.
Then I'm going to vote for you because I'm tired
of this regular jet guy that always does the same
thing whatever it's ruining our state or country or whatever
that's going on.
Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
Yep, that's exactly what's going on. And also he's praying
on everybody in Los Angeles. Like I talked to my
Los Angeles they lost their home to the fires, and
there Jesus. And she's not Heidy, she's a super far
left Democrat, but her and her husband are voting for
Spencer Prap because they're so upset at the way that.
Speaker 5 (01:11:50):
Everything was handled with the fires. That's that's they're.
Speaker 1 (01:11:52):
All working off the motion. Really crazy. There's other but
he's the one who's on the forefront saying that they
screwed up the fires. My house got burned down. I
want to take care of this. And I'm the new guy,
so people are hearing that, and if I lost my house,
I go, oh, Spencer Pratt has my back. Yeah, that's great,
(01:12:13):
that's great.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
To reevaluate your friend group.
Speaker 1 (01:12:15):
Yeah, CRAZYU he's hanging out with the kids from Lagoona Hills.
Speaker 7 (01:12:18):
Yeah, but your friends were turned off when he claimed
he was living in a trailer.
Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
Because everybody's finding a way to twist that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
But he never said he was acting. There's a commercial.
Speaker 7 (01:12:30):
It was his commercial that actually said he was living
But then he was found to be living at the
Beverly Hills Hotel, which is like a brand.
Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
A night for a right.
Speaker 6 (01:12:39):
And the trailer that he said he was living in
is like a two hundred thousand dollars trailer.
Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
By the way.
Speaker 6 (01:12:43):
Yeah, it's not like a cheap, crappy Winnebago.
Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:12:48):
And also back in the day, Spencer Pratt was like
an outspoken nine to eleven conspiracy theorist guy as.
Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
Well as well.
Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
That's great, but he's now saying, oh I was I
was just young and dump. I didn't know what I
was talking about. Back then, but now now he knows
and now he's all about representing the people of Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
So he's running for mayor. Yeah, people voted yesterday. How
did Spencer Pratt do well?
Speaker 7 (01:13:18):
So we know the top two go on to the
election in November, and those will be the top those
will be the choices the people of Los Angeles will pick.
Between coming in second place yesterday with thirty percent of
the vote we have Spencer Pratt really and then coming
in first place with only thirty five percent of the vote,
(01:13:42):
not too much more than Spencer. We have the current
mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, So Spencer Pratt as
of now, like early this morning they were saying it
was kind of close to call between second and third place,
but as the morning went on it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
Became clearer, got a pretty clear lead.
Speaker 3 (01:14:02):
Yes, he does that.
Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
He's got to do a whole campaign of like do
we want a Karen running La has done that?
Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
He's gotta do that.
Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
It's incredible.
Speaker 7 (01:14:12):
No, he's already, he's already Like people really like he
put out these AI commercials about all the homeless zombies,
so it's not even like real footage, it's AI footage,
but the fact that he calls homeless people zombies in
Los Angeles and how that is a problem. People like
that Trump has his back nic quote, I'd like to
(01:14:36):
see him do well.
Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
But he won't answer that question. When he says, do
you want President Trump to back you? He will not
answer no.
Speaker 7 (01:14:43):
He says he assumes he supports him because he's heard
that this guy's a maga that you know he's a
maga guy. But then the shocking thing that's kind of
surprising people is, you know, when you run for office
and you get big donations, they need to be public.
And also, because of we're in the world of social media,
(01:15:04):
people who support you and comment on your page, other
people can see that too. Now, Hollywood, especially the music business,
is known to be pretty liberal, Like there are a
lot of liberal people, a lot of them live in
Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Well, it turns out that his.
Speaker 7 (01:15:22):
Biggest donor is the head of Universal Music Group. Yeah,
so that is one of his biggest donors. And then
David Foster and his wife Catherine McPhee just performed at
a fundraiser for him, singing the hit Tina Turner's hit
The Best and putting his name in the lyrics simply
(01:15:47):
the best, better than all the rest, So that's good.
EDM producer DJ Cascade and DJ Diplo have also Diplo
awarding Spencer on his social realia. So people are like,
even the celebrities in LA who were thought to be
(01:16:10):
very liberal are turning out in support of Spencer Pratt.
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
Okay, I don't live in LA.
Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
Okay, I mean, I don't know. I don't understand it.
But if it was just a reality guy and he
didn't come with the Spencer Pratt baggage all that we've seen,
it may be one thing. But the fact that everybody
hated Spencer Pratt, yes, he was one of the more
hated you know, reality stars of all time, and now
(01:16:40):
could be the mayor of LA.
Speaker 8 (01:16:42):
Like that's wild, never held a job, alternate universe in.
Speaker 7 (01:16:47):
Politics, but he just decides I want to be mayor.
And for the record, the reason they don't have their
house in Los Angeles is because they chose not to
get insurance on their house burnt down and they don't
have the money to rebuild it because they never got
insurance on their house, which, like you know, I know,
(01:17:07):
insurance sucks, but who's to blame?
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
Like it partially, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
So it's wild scene, man, but he's gonna be on
the ballot. He's gonna be on the ballot.
Speaker 5 (01:17:17):
Yeah, it's pretty crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:17:18):
There you go. I don't know, man, are you a
mouthwash guy? Do you like to use mouthwash? Well, Listine
has made an announcement recently that people either are really
gonna like or maybe not like at all. We're gonna
see what the deal is with Listine when we get
back on the show at Rock on a five to three.
Do you guys use mouthwash? Are you a mouthwash person?
(01:17:42):
Emily not, No, not at all.
Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
I have it at my house the.
Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
Scope Listenine, okaytrem okay.
Speaker 4 (01:17:51):
I don't know why I don't use it more because
after I use it, I enjoy it. I enjoy the feeling.
Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
Oh really, but.
Speaker 4 (01:17:55):
It's underneath my cabinet and it's just not sitting out,
and so for some reason.
Speaker 1 (01:17:59):
I forget you have it? Then, like when would you?
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
I don't know. That's a really good question. How has
that model?
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
Very confusing?
Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
Probably like a year old.
Speaker 7 (01:18:09):
Oh I was assuming since you don't use it and
it's under your cattler, I think.
Speaker 4 (01:18:13):
I bought it to like go on a trip, which
is I don't know why I listening. You know what
it might have been because like you know, when we
go to our little radio convention, we're kind of talking
to a lot of people. So maybe I bought it
for that. I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:18:24):
She gets self conscious about the weirdest things, like I've
never thought about my breath at our radio convention.
Speaker 4 (01:18:30):
Oh I always think about that, really, Okay, so shocker,
it's inconsistent.
Speaker 1 (01:18:37):
Oh that's shocking. Strange.
Speaker 7 (01:18:39):
Yes, mouthwashuh no, no, thank you, h no, thank you
the boo though my husband.
Speaker 1 (01:18:50):
I don't know. I just I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:18:52):
I'm not I don't think anything's wrong with.
Speaker 1 (01:18:54):
It, but if like but like for me.
Speaker 7 (01:18:57):
I don't know, if it's like a lazy thing, but
it's just an extra step that.
Speaker 11 (01:19:00):
I don't He doesn't brush.
Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
I brush my teeth and floss occasionally.
Speaker 8 (01:19:08):
Definitely don't wash her hands. Well, that's true, and there's
so many things it's really gross, but I actually don't.
Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
You're already in there.
Speaker 7 (01:19:16):
Yeah no no, I'll grab a paper towel just so
people can hear a crumple and I and then I
go along my merry way. So, but the hobby big
mouthwash guy to the point where it sits on our
bathroom counter all the time, because you know, we only
keep things on the counter if.
Speaker 3 (01:19:33):
They're used daily.
Speaker 7 (01:19:34):
Everything that's non daily goes in a drawer or underneath.
And he's yeah, he probably uses that mouthwash two three
times a day, big floss er, big mouthwash guy.
Speaker 1 (01:19:45):
Does he use it after he brushes or just in
between both?
Speaker 8 (01:19:50):
So?
Speaker 7 (01:19:51):
Yeah, so he uses it after he brushes, and then
you know, allegedly he may use it to cover up
marijuana smoke on his.
Speaker 1 (01:20:01):
Oh my gosh, so that happens, yes, wild, yes, uh yeah.
I've never understood doing the mouthwash after you brush. And
I think you're kind of supposed.
Speaker 5 (01:20:12):
To because it's like and it cleans.
Speaker 1 (01:20:15):
But you already brushed.
Speaker 7 (01:20:18):
So say you like, bust open your gums a little bit,
it's gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
It's really gonna clean it out. Yeah. I just don't
get it. But that's what my wife does. Deborah is
a big Listerine person after she brushes, and I just
always confused by that. I've never been a mouthwash guy. No,
I brush my teeth if I want fresh breath or
clean mouth or whatever. Every once in a while, if
(01:20:46):
it's like mid day and I gotta go do something
or whatever, I might take a swig just rinse it out,
and then afterwards I'm always like, ah, yeah much, and then
I gotta and then I rinse my mouth with water afterwards,
which I think defeats the purpose. So I don't really
get the mouth washing, and I'm not really on that tip.
Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
Yeah, I'll just pop a piece of gum. If you know, midday,
I need to freshen up the mouth area.
Speaker 1 (01:21:09):
Yeah, area, the mouth area area. What about you throw
your mouthwashed?
Speaker 7 (01:21:14):
Guy?
Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
Big mouthwaig?
Speaker 1 (01:21:16):
Big mouth?
Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
Was the day?
Speaker 1 (01:21:18):
Really?
Speaker 6 (01:21:19):
Usually after I brush, I figure's apparently I just read
you're supposed to wait after after you brush, you shouldn't
rinse anything for like twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:21:27):
I don't want to get rid of.
Speaker 6 (01:21:28):
That floor eyed geez apparently, So now I'm gonna start
waiting like twenty minutes and then you.
Speaker 1 (01:21:34):
Brush and then your mouthwash right await.
Speaker 7 (01:21:35):
And then oh that's a process. You're gonna leave the
bathroom and then go back.
Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
I mean, yeah, I would never remember to do that, No,
I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:21:43):
I would.
Speaker 6 (01:21:43):
I have a bathroom in my bedroom where just it's
before I go to bed at night, I'm watching TV.
Speaker 7 (01:21:47):
But what about in the morning when you go to work, Like, yeah,
that's gonna be tougher.
Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
Yeah, that's that's goods.
Speaker 1 (01:21:53):
At night it won't be that bigure. Okay, it won't
be there.
Speaker 3 (01:21:56):
I mean, but once you're in bed, you're gonna get out.
Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
Well you should get up any way to pee before
I go to bed.
Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
So you'll add it to that.
Speaker 6 (01:22:01):
Okay, okay, yeah, you just have to reach put it
in swisch for thirty seconds and spite.
Speaker 1 (01:22:07):
No thank you. You're a big mint guy, so I'm
surprised you're this big of a mouth. Question.
Speaker 6 (01:22:13):
Mince, mince and gum don't give you fresh as fresh
as breath use mint. Honestly, it's more of just to
have something in my mouth, something to do.
Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
I get bored, so I pop.
Speaker 6 (01:22:24):
A mint and it's wow, it excites you.
Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
I don't know if it excites me.
Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
It's just like a puzzle.
Speaker 6 (01:22:31):
I mean, it's like you're fidgety and you grab something
and so I grab.
Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
So I don't think, like, sayiate your boredom.
Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
I guess a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:22:41):
Really, Yeah, that's wild. Yeah, so had nothing to do
with breath.
Speaker 6 (01:22:44):
No, not really interesting because it doesn't really keep fresh breath.
It kind of a second for like a second, and
then it kind of dries out of your mouth.
Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
Say, gum, it doesn't really do anything.
Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
There's a big oral care guy.
Speaker 7 (01:22:57):
The amount of time he's talked to me about a
tongue scraper.
Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
Legit it is.
Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
It's too hard in the pain with that, but it's good.
Speaker 1 (01:23:07):
Brush.
Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
You still have a ton of bacteria in your tongue.
Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
You can brush the tongue doesn't do it, doesn't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
I feel like it does.
Speaker 1 (01:23:14):
Look it up. Okay, you know how he feels. Why
are you challenging him.
Speaker 2 (01:23:19):
Like the tenth time we've had again, Okay, skunk tongue scraper.
Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
If if you are a fantom mouth wash and you know,
I think the biggest brand is probably Listenerene, right, Yeah,
I would think so.
Speaker 3 (01:23:31):
I think we all mentioned that's the brand.
Speaker 1 (01:23:32):
Yeah, Listerine has made a big announcement that I either
you're going to think is cool or maybe think is
just what what's the point? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:23:42):
Listenerine says their name has always been synonymous with powerful
oral care, but it's also their mission to make their
brand more personalized for the individual, and maybe sometimes people
don't want it so powerful, and maybe it's a little
bit too powerful.
Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
For some people.
Speaker 7 (01:24:03):
Some may call those people woosy boy, but other people
say it, might say it's it's too much, it's it's
too intense.
Speaker 1 (01:24:13):
In the mouth, and so that's why she doesn't do it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:17):
No, it is like I feel like it stings my eyes.
Speaker 1 (01:24:23):
Yeah, it's wild, a little dramatic, a.
Speaker 3 (01:24:29):
Dramatic tongue scraper.
Speaker 1 (01:24:31):
Stop it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:34):
So Liscerine has just announced that they are going to
offer a line of mouthwash that has a different range
of intensities based on how intense you would like your mouthwash.
Speaker 1 (01:24:48):
So they're gonna have Extra.
Speaker 7 (01:24:50):
Mild, which they say is ultra gentle and a softer
swish for your mouth.
Speaker 1 (01:24:57):
They will offer.
Speaker 7 (01:24:59):
Mild, which they say is smooth and balanced for an easy,
everyday clean, and then they're gonna have Listinge intense that
is their bold and powerful classic experience.
Speaker 4 (01:25:14):
That's the way it is now.
Speaker 1 (01:25:15):
Yeah, So so I don't get it. Do we need this?
Speaker 6 (01:25:19):
I feel like you need that intense feeling because it's
doing it's job.
Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
I feel like if there's other mouthwash, like.
Speaker 6 (01:25:26):
What's there there's another mouthwashing like scope you scope, and
there's another one too that people really like where you
don't get that like ah feeling, and I.
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
Feel like I'm not clean really see.
Speaker 7 (01:25:35):
I feel like if I tried the extra Mild, I
could potentially become a mouthwashed person.
Speaker 1 (01:25:40):
You your whole life is extra Mond's. I mean, he's
got a good one.
Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
Uh So it's in.
Speaker 7 (01:25:45):
Select stores now, but they say it's going to be
rolled out nationwide in the next few weeks, so you
will now start seeing options of how intense you want
your listing.
Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
I just don't get the point of extra mild of
even rinsing your mouth. I mean, just do water that's
a little flavored water or something.
Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
I feel like it's going to be a step up
from water.
Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
But you know, Sky likes to tell us about all
the charities she donates to love very terrible, very terrible. Well,
if you want a donation, just ask, she'll donate to it.
She'll donate it. Well, Sky donated to something yesterday, but
this one may not be legit. We're gonna see what
(01:26:28):
this is all about. Coming up next to the show
a rock with a five to three. So Sky is
the most charitable person in the world. That's not true.
That's according to her. He did make a bull claim yesterday,
the most terrible person on the show.
Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
Well, yeah she was an angry Sky.
Speaker 1 (01:26:48):
Yeah I was. Yeah, that one.
Speaker 4 (01:26:51):
I donate and to work with Alzheimer's Association. I'm going
to talk about them now.
Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
I just don't tell you guys what I donate.
Speaker 3 (01:26:57):
So, yeah, when somebody is calling you greedy.
Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
That's not I said.
Speaker 6 (01:27:02):
It was the Seven Deadly Sins and we were saying
what one do we and we think we are And
I was surprised greed wasn't in there because.
Speaker 1 (01:27:11):
You called me a liar. Sky.
Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
You have a YouTube channel called Chasing Lottery Millions, but
you're not greedy.
Speaker 11 (01:27:18):
Doesn't make you greedy, Sky. It's all about get rich quick,
that's your whole scheme. Yeah, but that doesn't make you greedy.
Greedy is greedy is if you don't share to others.
You said all you said, I would stab you in
the back.
Speaker 1 (01:27:32):
For a doll.
Speaker 8 (01:27:38):
That.
Speaker 2 (01:27:39):
I just think some people don't think things that they
should think.
Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
Oh and some people are latantly wrong.
Speaker 6 (01:27:47):
Okay, sure, Chasing Lottery Millions YouTube channel.
Speaker 7 (01:27:52):
I can chase the millions I'm not stabbing people for millions. Sure,
it's not stabbing lottery millions.
Speaker 1 (01:28:00):
Anyway. So Sky likes to tell us when she's donates
to charity.
Speaker 3 (01:28:04):
I mean, I don't tell you all the charities I
don'tate to, but.
Speaker 1 (01:28:06):
Yes, there's more than what you tell. You tell us
a lot, So there's more than that. Yeah, okay, So
something has happened because I've done Sky for you know,
twenty five plus years. I'm not saying she wasn't charitable before,
but something has happened where a self help book or
something has told her you have to donate to charity
(01:28:28):
when charity presents itself for something because.
Speaker 6 (01:28:31):
It doesn't influenced by people that shouldn't influence her, like like.
Speaker 1 (01:28:36):
Like Big Sean in the self health book.
Speaker 3 (01:28:37):
I mean that's a legit book.
Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
Or like a random acupuncturist if they have good advice.
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
If the three of us give you advice on something,
you won't listen.
Speaker 1 (01:28:49):
It depends if advice or not.
Speaker 6 (01:28:51):
If it's about parking, or it's about a dog, or
you won't listen. But if you know, some random massage
therapists mentions something.
Speaker 11 (01:28:58):
You know what about they knowd so does the vision board,
include charitable donations.
Speaker 1 (01:29:05):
What's going on? What happens?
Speaker 7 (01:29:07):
So when I when I do my mourning mantra, like,
part of it is.
Speaker 1 (01:29:11):
What is your mourning mantra?
Speaker 7 (01:29:14):
No, it's not like Remember I showed you my notebook
and I write things in there.
Speaker 1 (01:29:17):
Yes about it. That's part of it.
Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
Again, it's part of it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
Yes, which is part of it?
Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
Health?
Speaker 7 (01:29:29):
Love, wealth, And part of the wealth is that I
can have enough to give back and share and help
with others, help others I burn hundreds to I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:29:39):
Want those are your words. I don't direct anyway.
Speaker 7 (01:29:46):
Okay, So, yes, that is part of it. But yes,
all my self help stuff I've been into over the
last five years, A lot of it is part of
being wealthy is giving back and helping attempt me to.
Speaker 1 (01:30:02):
So is it partially the more you put out the
more it comes back.
Speaker 7 (01:30:07):
To you, as some people believe that. But yeah, also
like yeah, it's you can't be stingy with money because
if you're stingy with money, it dries up. But also
the fact that part of being a good human and
feeling good about yourself and having joy in your life
is knowing that you're helping others and helping society and
giving back to your community.
Speaker 1 (01:30:29):
Okay, okay, so yeah, So I do you think you've
taken that a step further though, because you seem like
you're doing it a lot more recently.
Speaker 7 (01:30:39):
Oh yeah, so so it It kind of started just
with like becoming regular donors to certain local charities, and
then I started seeing things, you know, whether it's a
post online of somebody's dog who got hit by a
car that needs surgery, or you know, whether it's somebody
on Instagram whose whole thing is raising money to help
(01:31:02):
people who have cancer and can't afford the treatment. So
I definitely started sprinkling it in places where it hasn't
been sprinkled before.
Speaker 1 (01:31:13):
I don't think it.
Speaker 4 (01:31:13):
Makes me a hero.
Speaker 7 (01:31:15):
I just feel that I'm lucky enough to have a
little bit of extra money to share, and so I
feel good sharing it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
Intense selfish desire to consume or possess more than you need.
Speaker 7 (01:31:30):
I just said, I if I have more than I need,
I give it, I give back.
Speaker 1 (01:31:35):
Definition.
Speaker 7 (01:31:37):
Okay, some people accuse others of things that are inside
their own heart.
Speaker 1 (01:31:43):
Brow how about that? How about that?
Speaker 7 (01:31:46):
Remember when you told me I was a bad landlord
because I wouldn't raise my rent on the woman with MS.
Speaker 1 (01:31:51):
Yeah, that's just because you're terrible.
Speaker 7 (01:31:53):
I mean, I mean, I think that's a nice thing
to do. I don't think a greedy person would do that.
All right, Hold up?
Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
Okay, So yes, Sky likes to donate to charities. And
I guess if anybody asked these days for a charitable donation,
not anybody, you're gonna get it. Well, it's sort of
what's been happening, like things that popped up, like you said, online,
you don't even really look into it and you're just
look it and then you just donate.
Speaker 7 (01:32:20):
I'll look into it like a quick Google search. I mean,
I'm not you know, spending hours, but but I'll look
into it to make sure it's not like especially the
Instagram guys and stuff like, cause.
Speaker 1 (01:32:30):
You know, I don't I don't need, I.
Speaker 7 (01:32:32):
Don't need to be scammed because then that's gonna that's
gonna make me sad. Uh. There was the guy who
did walk up and just say at M to me
when I walked away from the ATM and I gave
I gave him money. That was that was probably that
was probably not a smart idea. I get what you're
saying there. But yesterday, yesterday, yesterday, me and my daughter
(01:32:55):
went to Fashion Valley Mall doing a little shopping. Had
had an exchange that's been sitting in my closet for
I don't know how long. Emily gave me a little
cross body.
Speaker 8 (01:33:05):
Bag that another present was was a color another present.
Speaker 7 (01:33:11):
We both agreed. Emily and I both agreed the color
wasn't my jam and know.
Speaker 4 (01:33:15):
That I like color.
Speaker 3 (01:33:17):
No, we talked about it and how if I put
it in my purse.
Speaker 7 (01:33:21):
Today, I could get marks on it because it's such
a light.
Speaker 3 (01:33:23):
But it was all it was like, it was a
light purple.
Speaker 1 (01:33:26):
It was a very light purple.
Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
And so I exchanged. I finally exchanged it for.
Speaker 7 (01:33:31):
A dark for a dark blue, the same cross.
Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
Body bag, but a dark blue. Been saying to my closet.
Speaker 5 (01:33:38):
They took it back.
Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
Yeah, full for your birth there, Christmas. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:33:42):
It was your birthday in Octo October last October.
Speaker 7 (01:33:45):
So in it No, I never used it. I mean
it's still had the tax on it. Rubber can't even
go on.
Speaker 3 (01:33:52):
So so he exchanged it, exchanged it.
Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
Will stop by your gifts. That's what you've done. Son.
It was just like I just changed the color.
Speaker 8 (01:34:02):
Done song so long because I don't know I actually
even got that for you.
Speaker 7 (01:34:09):
I actually were back right after they didn't have any
good colors. And then it dawned on me the other
day and they have new colors now, dark blue.
Speaker 3 (01:34:16):
So which fashion valley to exchange?
Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
That?
Speaker 3 (01:34:18):
Bad boy probably should have mentched that.
Speaker 7 (01:34:20):
And as I'm walking, all of a sudden I catch
eyes with the gal who has a clipboard and a
badge around her neck, and she says, ma'am, can I
ask you how much do you know about autism?
Speaker 1 (01:34:35):
WHOA that's aggressive?
Speaker 4 (01:34:36):
It is?
Speaker 7 (01:34:37):
And she said on a scale of one to ten,
And I, yeah, it's so funny because if somebody said
that to me at the mall, my immediate response would
be too much.
Speaker 6 (01:34:46):
And then I keep going to God to us too much, and.
Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
That would be my immediate response, and just keep walking.
Speaker 1 (01:35:01):
She answers too much. I don't know. I don't know what.
Speaker 6 (01:35:05):
I know these people that she's talking about, And so
they get you, and I say, I say a little
smart ass remark back to them, and then I just
keep walking.
Speaker 10 (01:35:12):
Yeah, they don't want to mess with you. It's not today. Yeah,
I paused, and they got you already.
Speaker 1 (01:35:23):
They got you can't pause.
Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
We got a live one.
Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
You only know four myself.
Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
A fact that you even answered the question.
Speaker 1 (01:35:39):
I mean, here's you're clearly on the spectrum. Can you
shut up?
Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
So she starts into this whole thing You're.
Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
Done now, game over.
Speaker 6 (01:35:51):
Just being at the mall and somebody with a clipboard
talking to me is embarrassing.
Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
Yeah, I don't even want too much get away from it.
Speaker 7 (01:35:57):
And my daughter's with me, sixty years old, she's coming
out of standing next to me.
Speaker 3 (01:36:01):
I can feel it. I can feel it.
Speaker 1 (01:36:02):
Move on.
Speaker 3 (01:36:03):
And so the woman gives me the spiel raising money.
Speaker 7 (01:36:06):
This is their charity, and what they do is it's
all about, you know, programs for kids with autism. They
pay for tuition, they pay for iPads, they pay for
a horse therapy. She has a laminated sheet with all
the info, a badge with the name of the charity.
Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
Yep, there's a QR code.
Speaker 7 (01:36:26):
And I said, oh, well, could you please just give
me the information so I can donate online? And she goes, oh,
you can donate online right now, that's how you donate,
And I'm like, okay, because my plan was I'm going
to go research this and then if I think it's worthy,
then I'll donate.
Speaker 3 (01:36:40):
But she's got me right there.
Speaker 7 (01:36:41):
So I pull out the phone scan the QR code
and she's like hovering, and.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
She's what is wrong with saying to this person? Okay,
I'll scan the code and then I'm gonna look into
it and I'll donate later.
Speaker 7 (01:36:57):
I don't think there's anything wrong with it. But you
know me, I know you. I'm a people pleaser. I
don't enjoy your economy, I know, but I know. Whatever
I'm gonna say, she's going to have a retort for it.
Oh well most people say that and blah blah blah.
Speaker 3 (01:37:12):
I'm happy to stand here with you while you don't.
Speaker 4 (01:37:15):
You know, good good if she says that, because that's
going to make me way turned off to this chair
in the first place, that you're being that pushy with me,
that something's up with that.
Speaker 8 (01:37:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:37:22):
So I scan the QR code. It pops up. You know,
it looks legit. It's a it's a dot org. They
have a tax id number.
Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
Uh, how much are you donating?
Speaker 3 (01:37:35):
Well, no, I mean that's just it's right there on
the website.
Speaker 7 (01:37:37):
You know, you have to be a charitable organization to
get a tax id, and so that's enough for me
to go, Okay, this is legit, and I'm just gonna
do twenty five dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:37:48):
And so I do twenty five.
Speaker 4 (01:37:51):
Oh dude, it wasn't even a hot They're likely to
go five or ten.
Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
There's no way I would I wouldn't do it anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:37:56):
But like, oh, it wasn't even an Like the first
option on the ding was.
Speaker 6 (01:38:00):
Where you could put you I would see, I would
see it was whenever I see his clipbore people talking.
Speaker 1 (01:38:04):
To somebody, I'm always like, look at this sucker. Oh
that's how I felt like.
Speaker 7 (01:38:08):
I'm like everybody walking by right now is looking and
judging that I got caught in the track.
Speaker 1 (01:38:13):
I gave her my cross body bag and said you
just take it. I don't want it Anywhay.
Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
I hated this gift anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:38:17):
I didn't hate the tell one or too.
Speaker 4 (01:38:19):
It was just like, you needn't wander your coffee up.
Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
Okay, why can't she treat people in the world the
way she cheats three of us?
Speaker 1 (01:38:28):
She doesn't like confrontations, like she was just the biggest
fight we've had in this show. In the last it
got on covering months, it got.
Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
Uncomfortable with us.
Speaker 1 (01:38:35):
Okay, that's okay. Yeah, that you're my brother. I can
tell you to shut the hell up. Other people.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
I gotta be nice to, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:38:45):
Just like crap. But people who are trying to scammer,
you'll give you her life savings, right, you guys are family.
It doesn't make sense. Well in here, nicer to us
do that.
Speaker 2 (01:38:57):
For once, she was this guy in the your world.
Speaker 7 (01:39:01):
She'd go place maybe baby, I don'tate like twenty five dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
There's a service fee on top of it.
Speaker 7 (01:39:13):
It turns into like twenty six fifty whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:39:17):
And then in your mind you're like, I could tell
the show about this.
Speaker 1 (01:39:20):
No I didn't. I was thinking that.
Speaker 7 (01:39:23):
And then we go up the escalator to Hollister because
that's where my daughter.
Speaker 3 (01:39:28):
Look at some clothes. And we're walking.
Speaker 7 (01:39:30):
Around Hollister and then we'll start turning and I go,
that was a real charity, right, Like I.
Speaker 1 (01:39:37):
Actually like the kids with the candy right in front
of the ball the mall.
Speaker 2 (01:39:41):
Yeah, but they look legit.
Speaker 1 (01:39:43):
Yeah, they have a.
Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
Bad there's a QR code, bro, and so they can't
fake that.
Speaker 7 (01:39:49):
So I'm like, this is a real charity, right, And
then I googled the name of the charity and that's
when their website pops up and it looks super legit again,
tax cod blah blah blah blah. But I go, what
are people posting online underneath the link for their actual website,
And that's when I start seeing the word scam.
Speaker 1 (01:40:10):
Oh don't give them your money.
Speaker 7 (01:40:13):
Oh no, they are a real charity in finger quotes,
given an F rating by the charitable organization, the Foundation.
So according to the Internet, they technically are a real charity.
Shit they are, but ninety percent of the money they
(01:40:34):
raise goes to administration costs of the charity, with only
ten percent actually going to programs.
Speaker 1 (01:40:43):
For children with aughts. So what did you learn?
Speaker 7 (01:40:47):
Well? I kept telling myself, ediot's all about intent. I
intended to do something good, and I just had to
keep telling myself that, because what I.
Speaker 1 (01:40:56):
Don't have to donate to everything. That's the thing. It's
very nice you want to you want to donate to charity.
I'm never gonna say don't do that, but I mean,
be smarter. Okay, how about that? Did you use your
credit card.
Speaker 6 (01:41:07):
Yeah, you could call your credit card company and say
it was a scam and they can cancel it.
Speaker 1 (01:41:11):
She would never do that in a million years. Sky,
it's Sky. I can't hurt that credit card feelings, credit card, don't.
I don't know. She doesn't make any sense, you know.
Can you just twenty five bucks, Jamie, Help help him out,
Help him out, help him out, buy him burrito. That's
a nice, terrible donation. Okay, come on, Okay, I'm gonna
(01:41:35):
Sky figure it out. Man. She hates everybody in here,
in this room whatever. Uh. Padres can't seem to figure
things out either. There. They can't figure out that winning formula.
It's definitely been tough. We're gonna see if they had
the answer yesterday against the Phillies or not. Next to
sports shirt, Oh, Padres, what's going on? Making me sad?
Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:42:03):
Don't make me sad man. Here's what will make me happy?
What win games? Yep? Win games again? So fun?
Speaker 6 (01:42:12):
And what's going on is that the guys that you
didn't expect much from cooled off. But then the guys
that you need to hit still aren't hit.
Speaker 1 (01:42:19):
Well. Man, he's definitely not hitting. Toddy went three for
four yesterday. I mean, he's definitely been hitting the baseball.
Meryl hopping down mostly.
Speaker 2 (01:42:31):
Meryl, Meryl maddening.
Speaker 1 (01:42:33):
Man, this was a good one.
Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
What about Bogarts?
Speaker 1 (01:42:37):
Okay, get to you.
Speaker 2 (01:42:40):
Does that mean I didn't really answer my question. I
thought it was Bogie goes Boom giving away next man.
Speaker 1 (01:42:50):
Yeah, nothing seems to be working these days. They jumped
out to an early lead off a Gavin Sheets to
run blast, which you know, Randy Vesquez was cruising along
until he served up a cookie to Bryce Harper, who
tied up the game with a two run home run
of his own. Then the Phillies took the lead when
(01:43:10):
they scored on a double play in the six run
scored and that's how the game ended, three to two. Man,
they didn't score anymore one home run.
Speaker 4 (01:43:21):
They got guys on base.
Speaker 1 (01:43:23):
Yeah, they don't. You got to touch home plate.
Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
That's what you have to do. You gotta come around.
Speaker 1 (01:43:29):
Yeah, I've heard a little frustrating. So there was one
cool moment in the game when Jace Bowen got his
first major league hit after he got called up. Parents
were in the stands.
Speaker 4 (01:43:38):
I love seeing the parents. I love it when Scan
goes down there and interviews him.
Speaker 8 (01:43:42):
Uh yeah, even though the microphone wasn't working. Whatever, How
beautiful was that? What I was like, I love these moments,
sappy stuff. I didn't I would have cried had I had,
Like the mic was going in and out and the
mom was crying how much support and all of a
sudden you couldn't hear?
Speaker 1 (01:44:01):
What was more touching?
Speaker 2 (01:44:03):
The other day when Junior hit his first home run
of the year, she cried after fifty six games that
she cried? Or because that you cry, or this moment.
Speaker 4 (01:44:13):
Had the moment last night had gone off without a
hitch and the mic was working last night probably would
have been better. As of now, the toddy home run
and the support he got in the dugout the guy.
Speaker 6 (01:44:22):
He hit a home run against the Nationals two months
into the season.
Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
That gotcha.
Speaker 4 (01:44:29):
Yeah, the support and love from his homies, homies.
Speaker 1 (01:44:33):
Yea, God, has it led the more home runs now? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
That makes me cry?
Speaker 4 (01:44:37):
Oh okay, you.
Speaker 1 (01:44:39):
Got a finger? Hey, you got cool. The Golden Knights
took Game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, beating the
Hurricanes five to four. Vegas scored with just over three
minutes left to go in the third period to take
the lead. They were down early too, oh, but they
rallied back to win Game one. Got Game one of
the NBA Finals to between the Spurs and the Knicks.
(01:45:03):
Here we go, big knife for Big Daddy over here.
Got my Knicks shirt on. Very excited. My son will
have as well. They're all nicked out.
Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
The Sun will have his Nicks on Zion.
Speaker 1 (01:45:13):
Same with my shirt for a big dunk by John
Starks today or what do we Got's not be in
the crowd? Oh, okay, be in the crowd. We'll see.
We're very excited. The whole New York is very excited. Okay.
The Atlanta Falcons and their star wide receiver Drake London
have reached a new deal. They signed him to a
four year, one and forty one million dollar extension, making
(01:45:35):
him the third highest wide receiver in the paid wide
receiver in the league now behind Jackson Smith and Jigba
and Jamar Chase. This is wild to me.
Speaker 6 (01:45:44):
Drake Lendon's got so much potential, but he's never had
He's only had one season with a thousand yards. If
I was the Falcons, I would have waited and wait
till the end of the year because they pick up
his fifth year option, so this is his fifth year.
Speaker 1 (01:45:58):
He would have played on it.
Speaker 6 (01:45:59):
If he hasn't Monastery freandcheft tag, if he doesn't have
a monster year, you can't get him on the cheap.
Speaker 1 (01:46:04):
I just think they pulled the trigger too fast. Was
it last year that he had the thousand yards?
Speaker 6 (01:46:08):
Because then two years ago last year he got hurt
he had nine to nineteen damn. And then I think
it twenty twenty three got hurt too. He's only had
one year with only with over eighty catches. He's really good,
he's tick one.
Speaker 4 (01:46:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:46:22):
Falcons aren't a great organization. They make a lot of
weird decisions matter like drafting Michael Pennox.
Speaker 1 (01:46:29):
Falcons. Well, the Madden cover is out, we know who's
the They're gonna be the cover boy this year, I think.
So who was the cover last year? Did Josh Hall
last year? I don't remember. I couldn't tell you. Scatby,
I don't know. He was a rookie. I don't remember.
I don't remember, honestly.
Speaker 6 (01:46:50):
And he had and he had like a really down
he didn't have the best year they had. He had
a down year.
Speaker 1 (01:46:55):
Okay, Yeah, I think people still believe in the Madden curse,
so this may be good.
Speaker 2 (01:47:00):
Or bad more time than it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (01:47:02):
Yeah, it's going to be Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. So
he is actually the first ever Bears player to grace
the Madden cover. So we'll see if the Madden cover
is real or not. Last year on the on the upswing,
So that's surprising. I'm surprised it wasn't Drake London, Drake.
Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
What's it called, Sam Darnold or Smith and Jig But
but they're not popular or who want who Drake may
he's not popular either.
Speaker 1 (01:47:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:47:34):
It was gonna be Dart and the introduced Trump should Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:47:41):
All right, thank you, there you go. That is sports
Dirt for today. We heard about Sky's husband the Booze
big win at the casino recently. That's a pretty big deal. Well,
there was another person I guess who hit a beg jackpot,
but it didn't go as well as the Booze. We're
gonna hear why this person didn't get their winnings after
hitting the jackpot. When we get back on the show
(01:48:02):
and rock with a five three? Oh, what are we
doing right? I'm not ready. I'm not ready.
Speaker 4 (01:48:12):
Oh, or couldn't get enough?
Speaker 1 (01:48:18):
You want more Drick London talk? We can't, We can't.
I'll do a whole football sports dirt from now on.
Speaker 2 (01:48:24):
Just just football's second sports shirt football.
Speaker 1 (01:48:27):
Okay, So don't talk about the nickt tomorrow first sports shirt,
Nicks sexon sports shirt. Don't talk about the Knicks football.
Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
Okay, we do giants talk thou if you want why?
Speaker 1 (01:48:41):
All right, No, we're not doing that. It was a mistake, guys,
it was we're not doing sports. Uh you know we
heard I think it was yesterday right that you were
telling us about this big jackpot your husband, the Boo
hit and you're trying to get your greedy little hands
in there. I don't don't bring that back.
Speaker 7 (01:49:03):
So cruel about how horrible I am to the Boo
not letting him ten thousand dollars in fun money. That
makes me such a horrible It was, Hey, what guy
lives a really nice life. He gets a lot of bag. No,
he basically gets whatever he wants, whatever he wants it.
(01:49:25):
So it's not like, oh my god, guy has nothing.
I'm holding him down like in other ways. Okay, can
you not Yeah, the Internet called me some bad names.
Speaker 1 (01:49:35):
Somebody put on their sky. Is not the limit?
Speaker 3 (01:49:38):
Oh damn, it's not nice.
Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
Maybe you're not the person.
Speaker 7 (01:49:44):
I think it's responsible to do something responsible with the
majority of.
Speaker 1 (01:49:48):
The you win your jackpot, do which you won't. But
you know what, you do what you want with the money.
Speaker 7 (01:49:55):
No, I think the money is mainly our money. And
then a little bit can.
Speaker 1 (01:49:59):
Be did you pull did you pull the handle? I
didn't pull the handle. Then it's his money.
Speaker 7 (01:50:04):
Did I withdraw the money from the a t M
that went into the slot machine to pull the handle?
Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
Yes? I did, but that's his money.
Speaker 7 (01:50:11):
It's our money, right, exactly, our money, So the winning
should be our money.
Speaker 3 (01:50:15):
Internet, Instagram.
Speaker 9 (01:50:20):
Sorry, strong feelings about this? Wow, everybody, it's always about money?
Speaker 1 (01:50:33):
Interesting? Okay, okay, sorry.
Speaker 5 (01:50:37):
I'm sorry for you.
Speaker 1 (01:50:39):
Thank you, cross body bag.
Speaker 3 (01:50:44):
She knew I was going to exchange it for another color.
Speaker 1 (01:50:47):
Guy, Why are you yelling?
Speaker 4 (01:50:48):
Eight months later? So maybe I finally got her something
she'd like.
Speaker 1 (01:50:54):
I do like it, just the color. Can you stop
starting the original color for I can't remember.
Speaker 3 (01:51:00):
It was a very light.
Speaker 1 (01:51:01):
It was a beautiful purple pinkle Perrywinkle. Well anyway, Apparently
there's another person who had a nice win at the
casino big jackpot we're talking about here, but unlike the boo.
Well I guess not really because the Boo's not getting
(01:51:22):
his winnings either. The sky the casino though, wouldn't give
this person their winnings. Well was that even?
Speaker 7 (01:51:29):
And not just that called the police and had them
sighted for trespassing.
Speaker 1 (01:51:35):
Oh were they like scamming it or no?
Speaker 3 (01:51:38):
So it made news that this past Sunday. Turns out
who knew.
Speaker 7 (01:51:44):
Pennsylvania had a lot of casinos Pennsylvania has?
Speaker 1 (01:51:47):
I mean most places do now?
Speaker 3 (01:51:49):
Seventeen casinos in Pennsylvania.
Speaker 4 (01:51:51):
I don't know, I don't know. I thought it was shocking.
Speaker 7 (01:51:53):
So anyway, so this woman, a sixty nine year old
woman is playing the slots at Hollywood Casino in Pennsylvania
and she hits a jackpot. I mean, I think anybody
who hits a jackpot is excited. But as you know,
when you hit a jackpot of over a certain amount,
they come over. They do what's called a hand pay,
(01:52:16):
and you have to fill out a tax form. You
have to give them your ID and then fill out
a tax form. Well, jackpot hit people come over get
her ID and that is when the police are called.
She is escorted off the property and not given her
(01:52:37):
jackpot and told if she does not get off the
property immediately, she will be cited for Trespassingike.
Speaker 1 (01:52:45):
So why is this?
Speaker 7 (01:52:47):
Well, it turns out in Pennsylvania they have a program
for people who are struggling with gambling addiction and sky
and they can go to cause casinos in the state
and ask for a voluntari voluntary ban. They can have
(01:53:08):
themselves banned from casinos self ban as a self ban wow,
And you can pick from three options. You can pick
from a one year ban, like I need one year
to get it out of my system.
Speaker 3 (01:53:20):
You can pick from a five year ban, or you can.
Speaker 7 (01:53:23):
Pick from a lifetime ban, And if you do any
of these, you are not allowed on casino property. You
can't go to the pool, you can't go to a restaurant.
If somebody you knows having a wedding there, you can't
go to that. You literally cannot step foot on the
property or you will be cited for trespassing.
Speaker 1 (01:53:43):
That is your gambling edition for then.
Speaker 3 (01:53:46):
Yeah, yeah, that's probably not good at all I need
in this.
Speaker 7 (01:53:50):
Well, it turns out shut up that this sixty nine
year old woman filed a self ban on herself for lifetime. Really,
like I have a gambling problem, I shouldn't be let
back in the casino for life. Oh but with that
being said, she was back at the casino and the
(01:54:12):
machine was happily accepting her money over and over and
over again. And it wasn't until she hit a jackpot
that they claim they realized she was in the casino,
and that is when they refuse to pay her.
Speaker 1 (01:54:32):
Are you kind of taking the person who is banned side? Well,
if you're banned, but how would they know? They don't
they're not checking ideas at the door.
Speaker 7 (01:54:42):
They have facial recognition in a lot of these places.
Or shouldn't the people who are banned, they should not
accept their money, do not go there. Yes, definitely, I'm
not blaming them, but I think it's a shady process
if they basically still can walk in the door and
give you money. But it only becomes an issue when
(01:55:03):
you win.
Speaker 6 (01:55:04):
Well if you so, did she get the money that
she won? No, So if she doesn't get the money
that she won, then they should give her money back
that she gambled. Because if if you're banned and you
can't win, because then then I think then they should
give her the money back.
Speaker 1 (01:55:17):
I guess the whole thing is like they didn't know
she was in the thing. If you're self banned.
Speaker 2 (01:55:22):
Herself, you're right, but you know, so they're not going
to give her the winning, then you should give my
money back?
Speaker 5 (01:55:26):
I think, right, how can mistaken herself?
Speaker 2 (01:55:31):
How can they legally say we'll take your money but
then not give you the winnings?
Speaker 1 (01:55:36):
It doesn't make sense.
Speaker 7 (01:55:37):
And they're claiming, they're claiming we can't know everyone who
all the time, and people are saying, well, but you
have facial recognition. Shouldn't you set your system to alert
you if the banned people are have walked in the door.
But they say, no, we can't do facial recognition on everybody.
(01:55:58):
But I guess she's not the first person who this
happened to. This happened to a guy a few years back,
and he hit a jackpot of fifty seven thousand dollars,
but again was escorted out by police, given a trespassing
citation and no money back, no jackpot.
Speaker 6 (01:56:16):
Nothing, Emily, have you ever self banned yourself from Lee
and George's the liquor store.
Speaker 5 (01:56:21):
Shout out an w liquor.
Speaker 1 (01:56:22):
No, it happens, you have. No, I have not they have,
nor would I ever do that.
Speaker 2 (01:56:26):
They don't have a Fisher recognition cameras.
Speaker 4 (01:56:28):
They do not have that.
Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
Always take big mom with money out. Oh hell yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:56:34):
So some people are agreeing with Eddie of course, saying yeah,
she did this to herself, and other people are saying, no,
that's shady.
Speaker 1 (01:56:43):
You sho.
Speaker 7 (01:56:43):
You should know she was in there and not allow
her to gamble in the first place.
Speaker 6 (01:56:47):
I just think that if you're not gonna give her
the winnings, they need to give the money back and
say you're banned. You know, nothing you did counts. But
to take the money and still take the money, how
is that legal?
Speaker 1 (01:56:57):
You just you did it to yourself. You knew you
weren't supposed to be here. Just put money in. You
don't get anything back from it. That's your own fault.
That's how I look at it. You know, I don't know.
It's it's wild though. Uh well, there you go. Coming
up tomorrow it is throw Back Thursday. Sorry, that's great
plus though, so we'll do throw back trivia. Plus Thor
has been kind of training this movie Tai recently, he's
(01:57:22):
just starting out, so he's getting in there. Well, things
got a little uncomfortable and sparring recently. Yeah, we're gonna
see what happened to thor All Tomorrow Show
