Speaker 1 (00:00):
San Diego.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Welcome to the show.
Speaker 3 (00:03):
New New Day is here, and what better way to
start it.
Speaker 4 (00:07):
Than with all the show is going to be great.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
This show, I would like to introduce you to the ringleader, Eddie.
Here's the thing about Eddie you need to know.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Eddie doesn't have the ability to not be Eddie the
mother of this crew.
Speaker 5 (00:20):
Guy, I'm kind of miss meek, like you can almost
talk me into anything. Dore.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I'm not a social butterfly, nor do I want to be.
Speaker 6 (00:27):
And Emily, I am sometimes very very selfish and sometimes
I'm actually very very given.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Welcome to the show on San Diego's rock station Rock
one oh five three.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
All right, Emily is on the loose and really so
we've brought things up before, and you know she defends herself. Yeah,
and these are very similar actions.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Once again.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Oh obviously Emily at the any kind of store look
out because there there could be disaster happening. That happened.
But before then, she did something at the ball field
that hearkens back to her going down super early to
the pool and reserving her pool chair. Okay, you know
(01:18):
when she puts the towel down and that that means
all that that beach chair is the poolchairs taking hours?
Speaker 5 (01:27):
And we told her about because we were talking about
it because a couple had suitor resorts, saying I couldn't
get a lawn chair because so many people did this,
And Emily was likey, snooze, you lose, you know, it
doesn't matter. She was defending her actions of hogging a
lounge share that she wasn't using for hours.
Speaker 6 (01:45):
Yeah, yes, snooze in losing okay, But then I said
that I was up.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I would take the towel off and put it down
after about five minutes and be like, because isn't that
person snooze. That person's would grab her towel walk away
in a huff.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, yeah, we've all seen that at resorts, you know,
people you know, walking in their spots.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
You go down like early, thinking, oh, I'll go down
at like, you know, nine am so we can actually
get a chair. And all the chairs have towels on them,
but nobody is around, and you're like.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Do you feel if if it's just a towel, is
that marking your territory or do you have to have
a personal item on that chair?
Speaker 4 (02:25):
You have to have personally Okay, towel doesn't mean anything, right,
Oh okay, you know I'm putting magazines.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'm putting like I would look at it like what
what ninety years old?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
People?
Speaker 5 (02:37):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Is whoa okay?
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Damn right to the people.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Well, and you know me, I'm very anti confrontational. So
if somebody has their towel now not just like a
folded towel, like a towel laid out on the chair,
I'm not I'm too chicken to touch.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
It, to move it.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
It's going to happen to fight.
Speaker 7 (02:54):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
Like I love what Thor ended up saying of just
playing stupid and when the people even go, hey, I
had put my towel on that chair, just pretending like
you never saw a towel, you didn't know what was up.
I like that, But prior to that, I was like,
oh my god, that it's going to turn into a
war of words.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
But if they if they have a personal item, I'd
feel kind of weird moving that.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah, my hat and like a bag or something.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Don't forget that magazine in the magazine.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
I would ye, it's still moving. I'd be like I
wasn't on.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
The chair, but like the resort people moved it.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, over and then I looked around and I didn't
see anybody for a while. Oh so sorry, sorry, I.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
Mean I can't say anything to that, but hopefully you
don't do that. I mean, there's nothing I could say
to that.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
So you got me.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, that's how. That's how you roll a resort. But
you did something yesterday that is in question as well.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
It is, so I don't.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Think so okay.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
I was the first one of the first people to
drop my son off yesterday at the baseball fields extra
hacks in huh oh yeah, yeah, for warm ups before
his games.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
So it's game was at five.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
I was there at like three point fifty five to
drop him off from four o'clock early and well let's
just be there an hour before.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
So I was only five minutes.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Oh really a full hour? Yeah, still not enough time.
Oh I wish I had more.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
Locked in man and so I park and I have
been doing this for a while now, and it kind
of depends on which field I'm at, but certain fields
I know to do this because I want to get
a good spot. And so what I do is I'm
there early always usually one of the first to drop
my son off for warm ups. And so what I'll
(04:37):
do is so I don't have to carry There's a.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Couple of reasons.
Speaker 6 (04:40):
So one, I don't have to lug my bag and
my chair and all my gear down at the same
time when the game starts. And also when the game starts,
because what I do is I drop him off for
warm ups and then I go run errands and then
I come back for the game. So I'm not going
to sit and stare at the field and watch them morning. Yeah,
most parents just do that.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And so I also gonna have to walk with stuff,
So I decide that I'm.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Already there stuff are you talking about?
Speaker 6 (05:04):
I bring a chair, an umbrella, usually, a big tote bag,
a cooler bag with snacks usually. God really, last night
I brought dinner for myself in the cooler.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Who I've got like gears?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Remember yesterday on the p one podcast Think It's on
the Heart radio app, we were talking about Emily's son
and how he brought all this overboard and it's so
crazy that a fifteen year old are being a cooler
with cherries and waterloos, like that's so wild. And then
you hear Emily and what she brings to a I
can't believe it to a Tuesday night baseball.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
Game a lot, but like literally looking at all the
other parents, every other parent has a setup and with
bags and coolers and stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
For the coolers for a like I don't like that
one game. If it was a double header, I can understand,
like the cooler, but for one game no, And.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
You're thinking the wrong I'm talking about like my little
lunch tote cooler like that, I put my lunch, my
lunch in like it not giant, it's still anyways. So
my move has been has been that I bring my
chairs and my umbrella if I needed it, and I
go set my chair up in a good solid spot
(06:13):
and drop that stuff off and then I go run
my errands.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Is it the field that I know? Yes, okay, so
then there's there's not the.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Main field, it's the other field.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
So there's no stands on the home side of this field.
There's only stands on the visitor side. For some reason,
just set up that way makes sense, is what it is.
So people on the home side bring their own stuff.
You have to have your own chairs.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
The form grill, a generator for a TV.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Find old harper.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I just try to take bag in the lunch, but a.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Little a little kiddie pool that can hang.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Out in the God, you know, I'd like that like that.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
I was on the home side the last couple of
games where you do have to bring your own s. Yeah, okay,
So I got down there and set up my chair
like I.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Always do, and you're reserving your spot.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
Yeah, like I'm reserving my spot. Go run my arnds
and then it come back boy to being a bouta boom.
I only have to carry my tote back down and
I already got my stuff set up.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
So I guess here's my question. Yeah, when you arrived
back to the field, are there other parents there?
Speaker 1 (07:25):
They're set up?
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
When I got there yesterday, there were other parents that
were down there already set up because I because my
stuff was already set up. I arrived like at like
four fifty four fifty five five minutes. They were get
ready a lot up with the pledge, the pledge and
a little lead pledge.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
We're still doing the little lead pledge.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
We never did either of those things growing up, And
you don't believe in the America, I guess not did
you little League.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I have zero memories.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
I don't remember, and I couldn't tell you what the
little League pledge is either. We never did either.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
I love.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
My country very World War two.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, back a long time.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Uh so, okay, So if you arrive and their other
parents are set up and the your chair and umbrella
are there and you're not there.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
You popped up though. I got a shady spot, but
I brought it down there.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
But you have the best spot? Yeah, I mean is
that fair?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
I think that there's multiple best spots because you know
where it is.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
I mean there's a whole chain link fence that you
could be along the line of where you could see.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
So I think every spot around there is created equal.
I picked the best spot that I liked because it
was a little bit in a shade.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Are people weard it out that you have a five
course meal set up on the side of the fence.
It was just sorbets? Yeah, I deserve it was. It
was just like a lemon stor bag.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
I don't like storbet, so wait a minute, it okay.
I got so many questions. The salad has been in
your car this whole time?
Speaker 4 (09:07):
I put an ice pack on it.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Okay, oh cold, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Insulated. It was in an insulated thermist.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Thermist like a big.
Speaker 7 (09:17):
Like thermost salad.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Yeah, it was more like a grainy salad. I mean,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
I thought you would appreciate this. I didn't want to
eat at seven forty five. I didn't ever.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
I So he is going there, leaving the field and
then coming back to your setup, basically the same thing
as what she does at a resort.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
It's a wild So I don't know, because I'm not
in this world. I would say no because it's her
own chair and she turned her own spot. It's not
like she's taking a chair that's that's at the field,
that's a good seat and putting stuff on it leaving. Okay,
So I think because you have your own chair, you're good.
You're allowed to leave it and go leave it and
(10:00):
go somebodys going to steal it. To be honest, I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I don't know. I mean, but it's Emily's chair, ye, hey, chair,
But I don't.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
I don't know trail from.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
What does that mean?
Speaker 1 (10:15):
I would?
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I don't know the how it works down there, you
would know anymore.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
I don't I'm never involved in this stuff. I'm you know,
I'm always doing the other side, So I don't. I mean,
I've seen people set up stuff, but I don't. I
always assume it's later.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Sky.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
When your daughter doesn't play, do you get a seat
and then come back. I feel like Sky would be
that one parent though, that would watch the whole practice,
the whole warm up, and she would say she would
just stay down there.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
They don't be like home there for hours before.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I feel like she would watch everything.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
Yeah, okay, shut up to me. It depends on how
many prime spots are, Like Emily.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Many at this field just feels no.
Speaker 7 (11:01):
Emily claims there's a zillion. There's not a prime spot.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
You know, it all sucks. I yeah, so I mean
prime spot. I don't know what that would be. I've
never watched a game on that shade spot.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Yeah, there was a liar's probably like ten feet of shame,
which is, you know, we were not going to have
that many spectators.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
But on the flip side, if I was not sold out,
if I.
Speaker 6 (11:23):
Was at the other field that Eddie knows about the
main field, there is bleachers on both sides, and I
will still put my chair and drop it off there
on like the right side of the bleacher. The bleachers
sit in the bleachers. Bleachers are uncomfortable either for two hours.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Never has her own seat.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Oh really like having my own little zone.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Well, you break so much stuff.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
When you when you put your air fryer out, you
got to have some space. I don't forget up the
whole thing, but the boat. Okay, So then, Sky, do
you think this is not cool or cool?
Speaker 5 (12:05):
I'm kind of leaning towards not cool because I if
I win early, going, we gotta go early to get
the one shade spot and you're.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
There fifteen minutes earlier.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Ye, or if if that's early, if I'm wanting the
shade spot, I'm probably going to go like a half
hour early, just because I know it's so prime, especially
if it's like a sunny time.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Not early enough.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
Sky, I may scoot that chair. I may scoot that
chair over a little.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Bit, and uh, you know, Sky's gonna squat.
Speaker 7 (12:35):
Nobody's here. I I'm here.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
I'm sitting right here.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
I'm sitting in a chair. I mean, my body is
here so annoyed at you the entire.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah, you see you see this girl? Come five minutes
before the game with her sleeping bag and everything else.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
She's got.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
You sleep top, somebody moved your stuff a little bit?
Would you notice?
Speaker 6 (12:58):
I would notice, but I wouldn't say anything. This is
another parent on the team. But I'd be annoyed and like, yeah,
hater for the rest of the season.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
All right, So then I guess you kind of get
a pass for that one. But what you did at
the store, no pass, No pass. I did the right thing,
not really, I mean, eventually you did, yes, But once
again you are your shady business that I'm not shady.
Speaker 7 (13:20):
Business's shady business.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Off on her?
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Oh hey, what's going on with you?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
So?
Speaker 6 (13:28):
Well, after I dropped my chair off, like I told you,
I went and ran ran errands and I went to Target.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
I had to return something. Big day, Big day. I
had to return something, and then I had to grab
a couple of other things, return.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
Something, then go in the store, go pick up a
couple of things that I needed, and then I go
to self checkout. Well, so a couple of things that
I needed. Where's like two makeup items? And then I
found a gray version of this white T shirt that
I like. This is a very lightweight. She'd be on
sale for ten dollars Target T shirt okay, and so
I had to have it though, well because I love
(14:00):
the one in white and I didn't know they made
it in gray, and it's something I wear all the time,
thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
What a store.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
So I find that before I pick my makeup up,
and I don't have like a shopping carter bag because
I knew I didn't need it at all, and I
just have my cross body person.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
So I grab the T shirt and then I like
fling it and fling.
Speaker 6 (14:17):
It over my shoulder so that I don't have to
hold it and so it's over my shoulder because I
need my hands.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
While I'm looking through makeup and stuff, of course, because
I needed to buy a.
Speaker 6 (14:25):
New makeup, and so I go in the makeup section,
Da da da, grab a couple of things that I needed,
and then off to self checkout I go, and at
this point I'm looking at the clock. I'm going, okay, well,
it's like, you know, I five thirty by now or
four thirty by now. I want to get down there
like ten minutes early ish, and so I'm kind of
starting to rush a little bit, and I move too fast,
(14:45):
as you guys know. And so I'm at self checkout,
I scan my eyeliner, I scan my other face thing,
and I.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Pay and I'm moving fast. And that's when I walk
out the door.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
And I get like two or three steps out the door,
and I go to go grab my cross body bag
to get my phone out, and that's when I realized,
oh crap, the T shirt is on.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
My shoulder and I never scanned it and paid for it.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
So you shoplifted, I did you? Or did you not
walk out with something shifted?
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Did I immediately I immediately.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
One not recognize that it's over your shoulder when you
use your cross body bag to.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Pay to pay?
Speaker 4 (15:30):
That's a good question.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
And I don't know because going through her head with
nobody's gonna know.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Yeah, just shove this thing.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
That's actually a good question.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
But whatever movement I was doing when I was leaving
the store, maybe it was because I was putting my
wallet or my phone back into my bag. Whatever movement
I did, it made the shirt like, made me see it.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
I'm not a scum back.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
I feel like if Reid was there, he would have
said something and he would have been like, shut up.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
Yeah, well no, so I immediately, pivot, turn back around,
go right to the thing, went to the target. But
oh my gosh, I just walked out with this. I
can't believe that. And she goes, at least you're coming back.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
I scan it, pay for it, and off I go.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
I would love to see the footage of this. Yeah,
because who knows if she actually did this?
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Really, why would I bring it up?
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Your your morals are really questionable.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
I just did the right thing.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Amount of things, stores and Matthews, you do this as
we've all done this.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
Something at the bottom of our car wheel, not.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Returning shopping carts, a million things, a million things.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Lady.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
I don't know about you, Emily.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
I don't know about you.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Well we do know.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Speaking of resorts, you do love a good staycation, right,
that's your kind of go to. You're a big fan. Well,
where does San Diego come in for the best cities
for a staycation? We're going to find out when we
get back on the show. A rock with a five three. So, Emily,
I know you're a big staycation fan. You love a
good stay cation, sure do. Where's your go spots?
Speaker 6 (17:04):
Usually it's always pretty much been like Paradise Point. We
like the Dana Hotel, or like the somewhere down by
the water.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
Yeah somebody.
Speaker 6 (17:12):
Oh, absolutely, somewhere by the water. That's almost Yeah. What's
the point. Well, we live a little bit inland, so
we like going out there. Oh and I like staying
and getting away instead of like, you know, just going
to the beach and coming back home. It makes it
feel like your own little getaway. We are doing the
staycation coming up here or my son Reads birthday in July,
we're going to stay at a beach house in Mission Beach.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Whoa got there?
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Oh no, I bought it. I paid the money.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Really.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (17:42):
Read's going to be sixteen, so really going all out.
And you know he loves a good bonfire as well.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
That's huge party.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Wow. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
So how long Friday and Saturday nights? Which is two nights?
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Cool? Yeah, they don't mind me asking.
Speaker 4 (17:59):
I do? I do ask.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
That because you're the queen of asking. You could say it.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
You don't always get the answer.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Expensive.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
It's very expensive.
Speaker 7 (18:08):
Oh is it like a house?
Speaker 6 (18:09):
It's a house, so it's like, well, all the other
ones were taken up, but this is like a standalone
house on the bay side, not beach side, but bayside
with like three bedrooms. Yeah, and it's really nice with
like a rooftop deck and very nice. No, very excited again,
unlike you, it isn't like me.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
But it's a sixteenth birthday and we're not going anywhere else.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
It's sweet sixteen sweet stacases.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Okay, So where do you think our city ranks in
the best cities for staycations.
Speaker 6 (18:41):
I mean it's tough because it's gotten so expensive at
a hotels, like this house is really expensive.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
I mean it's like hurt.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
I mean it's it's expensive, but like honestly, in looking
at like hotels that are if you wanted one of
the Bay side actually the exterior Bay side like bungalows
or rooms at any of those nice bay hotels, it's
like almost like nine dollars a night what like if
it's a popular summer like night July, like with resort
(19:11):
fees and taxes, like they'll list it as like seven fifty.
But like once you tack everything else on, it's like insane. Yea,
it depends on when you hit it. Obviously the price varies,
but it's like really expensive now to stay in a
nice hotel.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, So that's the thing that's gonna knock
us because obviously San Diego would be a perfect spot
for it, staycation if it was affordable, but not really.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, so yeah, that's gonna hurt us. I know a
spot what middle of nowhere? Oregon coasts the spot.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
But why would you stay? If you live there, you're
going to stay there.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
That's so great, so great, it's so great.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Why would you leave?
Speaker 2 (19:47):
The only thing you have to worry about is the
cliff falling.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
It's dangerous.
Speaker 7 (19:52):
There was one unfortunate storm where there was a bit
of erosion.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
But it's fine, it's fine.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
We're good, We're good.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Yeah, I'm a pass on that one. So yeah, where
did San Diego come in?
Speaker 5 (20:02):
Well, San Diego just misses the top ten, coming in
number eleven.
Speaker 7 (20:09):
So they had three different categories.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Recreation we came in seventeenth, recreation of courses, golf courses,
swimming pools, playground, see, hiking, trade.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Any sin. Yeah, we should be number one and all that.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Yeah, you would think Honolulu actually came in number one
in all those things.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
Next category was food and entertainment.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Now here's where money plays in because we have costs
of cocktails, costs of dinner stuff like that. We came
in sixteenth and the final category was rest and relaxation
again public beaches, weather, that's all great, but then cost
of going to a spa, cost of going to a resort.
(20:55):
We came in thirty six on that. Oh so, giving
us an overall rank King of eleventh. Your top three
Vegas number two, Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Well, what's weird about all this?
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Is?
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Like, first of all, if I live in Vegas? Am
I staying in Vegas?
Speaker 4 (21:14):
I guess you live outside the strip and the vacation
on the strip ge get away?
Speaker 1 (21:18):
So nobody wants to do that.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
And it's so hot too, Like yeah, certain places people
just flee during certain scenes.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
You to a staycation in Cincinnati.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Cincinnati number two clearly, Clearly number two you want to
get out.
Speaker 7 (21:34):
And number one goes to Orlando, Florida.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Well that one actually makes sense.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
All right, there you go. I have heard Thor say
for years he believes you got to take care of
your car.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Inspect the car, car take care of you.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Now that's a that's a big vicism.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Dad told him that, Well, we are going to go
over the maintenance mistakes that we make that actually cost
drivers much more in the long run.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Coming up next on the show, I'll rock with a
five three.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
So I have heard Thor talk about for years that
he believes in car maintenance, really believes in taking care
of your car, right man, this comes from your dad.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Yeah, your dad installed this in you.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah. You gotta respect the car, respect the car. You
respect the car to carry you.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
And what does that mean?
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Give it an oil change? Life by the car? Oh,
the life flood, life flood of the car. You give
it an oil change every five k.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
You know, there's like vehicles now that you don't even
have to do that anymore.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Which is crazy. Yeah, if I have an electric vehicle.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Well, well the electric doesn't use oil.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
No, it's electric.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
I thought there was like still some.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
There's a battery. Yeah, I get.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
I get very confused because mine's like a plug in
so most of the time I'm on electric, but it's
a hybrid so occasionally, yeah, it'll kick in.
Speaker 7 (22:55):
But then I'm like, how often do I need to
take it in for event?
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Look at your service manual, bro, you don't.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Read that thing cover to cover.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Yeah, well, because it just used to be standard for everyone,
Like you said, what was it three thousand it used.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
To be three thousand. There are like newer vehicles that
are ten thousand.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I think that's pushing it.
Speaker 7 (23:17):
Yeah, but new cars, that's what they say, like seven
ten thousand.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Mine used to be before I got my truck was
twice a year.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
That's dangerous, that was it.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
But it's wild because everybody drives a different amount of miles,
so just a year.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
But they just put a sticker on my car and
it says when it reaches this, that's when you didn't
need your next service appointment. And so that's what I
just go by. I don't even know what that space is.
Space is though, You just trust that tight yeah, I
mean yeah up there.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Yeah, it's not respecting your car.
Speaker 6 (23:47):
Oh, it's not trust the people at the dealership giving
me the right mileage.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
They see you coming from a mile away, from a
mile away, we got off. We got a live one.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
When they come out your filter looks like this and
these look like this and need to filter and Emily's
buying filter's I am that's happening.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Well, you have to take care of your car. I mean, otherwise,
you know, small thing is going to turn into a
massive thing and then that's going to cost you a
lot of money in the long run. And I guess
Mercury Insurance broke this down. What are those maintenance things
that we mess up?
Speaker 5 (24:23):
Yeah, because summertime is the biggest time for people doing
road trips, and the last thing you want is to
be mid road trip and end up on the side
of the road. In addition to what Eddie said, yeah,
this could cost you a lot more money in.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
The long run.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
One of my biggest nightmares of all time happened one
time when I was younger and I did the drive
to Vegas and so I'm in the desert. I'm literally
in the desert, and I'm driving home and my car
goes KerPlunk in just outside of Barstow. Well, there's nothing,
(24:56):
there's nothing else, And so I remember I somehow got
a toe to Barstow, but it was I'm coming home,
so it's Sunday.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
What's open. I'm stuck in Barstow. It was a nightmare.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
But I found one place that somehow was kind of open,
and the guy took like mercy on me and he
fixed it so that I could get home. Oh wow,
I could get home. It was a miracle. Honestly, it
was a miracle that how they were open on a Sunday.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
And you remember was what it was? Was it something
because you forget it was like a belt something like that,
you know, lorn belt.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (25:32):
Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, and it's those kind of nightmares.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
They say that could be avoided by these three common
things that drivers do that neglect their car. Number one
is delaying the regular scheduled maintenance.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
I mean, they say it bothers me more than when
my wife won't get her tires rotated or will take
forever get it all change, Like you gotta be on
top of that.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Those know she's.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
Yeah, they say, delaying the schedule maintenance is mainly all
about the fluids in your car, because lots of things
are just getting like topped off. It's like the oil,
the coolant, the transmission fluid. But if you run out
of that stuff mid road trip, you're really.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Jammed water for a few days. Yeah, but I'd be dead. Yeah,
that's Jamie just messaged. What you know you got that car?
He's about fifteen thousand miles in.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
He hasn't got no change, not one oil change. That's
so dumb, Like I don't understand that, Like, you got
a new car, why would you do that? You're going
to ruin your engine? And then you're gonna be like,
how I have a car?
Speaker 1 (26:43):
How old do you know? Yeah, that's why a clown, Like,
how would you not?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
How would you fifteen thousand? That poor engine?
Speaker 7 (26:52):
That's sad.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Oh you're killing your car. It's just if you're in
a situation where you're not making a ton of money,
a car is something you should really take care of.
Speaker 7 (27:04):
Oh yeah, yeah, you can't get to work.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
What if I found out my son was doing that,
it was gonna happen, oh across, Yeah, Walker is gonna
know you take care of that car now.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
I mean Jamie bought the car. I mean it's his car.
It's not like his parents car.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
What's he gonna do? And Eddie, I can't make it
in my cars. My car broke down. You know, I'm
gonna say he is bad? Right up.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
I don't think you're allowed to, right, Jamie bad.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
I'm gonna call I'm gonna call Bob Pullman and I'm
gonna tell me one of the heads of I'm gonna
tell Jamie can't come in his phone number. Jamie can't
come in.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
Okay, wild number two bank Bob.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Yeah, they always signed their emails together, you know, Okay,
nobody does it.
Speaker 7 (28:00):
Excuse it, number two big mistake or kind of brought
it up.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
The tires skipping your tire pressure checks Like people don't
realize how much it costs them when their tire pressure
is off the tires where faster. It reduces your fuel
economy and increases the chance of a total tire blowout,
which is really bad.
Speaker 7 (28:24):
And the number one thing.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
And I'm sure we've all gotten into a friend's car
and noticed this and been like, what the hell is
ignoring the dashboard warning lights, especially when.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
There's like multiple loves, Why would you ever do that?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
And they come on before they're set to come on,
before something really bad is about to happen, so they
give you time. I don't understand, you know.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Who, You used to do that all the time.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
That was before I put my big girl pants on.
It became big girl. But I used to do that.
Speaker 6 (28:55):
I did that actually maybe a little bit, even when
I had my old, older car before I got my Bronco.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Now I got my Bronco, I've changed my ways, I'm
on it.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Wow, so proud of you.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
Those lights didn't freak you out, Like I'm going to
end up on the side of the road and need
a tow truck.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Okay, if I get an engine light, I'm like, oh man,
I want to fix that.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Get to it eventually, what like months later, it's I know,
I know, I don't know what I was thinking about.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
Yeah. So they say those are important things, just like
Thor said, and this is a warning. This is like
your one last chance to not have your car explode,
and if you ignore it, then that's going to cost
you a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Jamie doesn't respect the car respect Oh you did? Oh no, no,
did you ever really have?
Speaker 5 (29:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Okay, we have to.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Talk about the major celebrity feud that is broken out
between Sky and a celebrity.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Like is this for real?
Speaker 3 (29:57):
We're gonna see what is going on with Sky with
a celebrity when we get back on the show at
Rock with a five three. Definitely didn't have this on
my bingo card at the beginning of the year. So
we have had some pretty wild celebrity interactions on our
social media recently. So I put out my top ten
(30:22):
alternatives to the Vetter Cup a few weeks ago, and
it really did get wild. People went crazy. It kind
of went a little viral. Yeah, to the point of
where my one of my alternatives was the Mario Lopez Cup, Yes,
that we would play against the Dodgers for a battle
for Mario between us in La, because Mario, you know,
(30:44):
is from San Diego, but he kind of claims La
as his home.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
I was just joking.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
I mean, I don't really want Mario Lopez, no offense,
but that was kind of the sentiment in the social
media of like, hey, LA can keep him, screw Mario Lopez.
And I'm like, oh, man, I guess we've got some
Mario Lopez hate going on. Actually, I mean, I honestly
want to say, like fifty percent of the comments where
trash and Mario.
Speaker 7 (31:05):
We're calling him like a trader, and I'm like, I mean.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Yeah, La La and mister La. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
The thing we don't like about him is he's like
a Dodgers fan, and so you know, he was just
a goof. But people were hating all over Mario. Well,
Mario responded yes on the social media page and got
in there, and people were talking crap to him.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
And I mean it was it was just crazy.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
He got a little ugly, to be honest. Yeah, I
almost felt bad for Mario reading all the comments.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
I mean, I'm like, that guy just woke.
Speaker 7 (31:40):
Up this morning.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
He didn't ask for that smoke.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
He woke up, he read the comments, and they did
extra w on with his life.
Speaker 5 (31:47):
True.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Okay, you know what was worse that are getting beaten
up by Zach in the hallway.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
In the hallway because you're a star on the wrestling
team and Zach is he took him down. Zach took
him down. I don't understand that prey sports, you guys,
I don't. Honestly, I don't know how he was the
most popular kid in school because he didn't play any sports.
I have that cell phone, and he did have a
cell phone, and he did have a band, Zach Attack.
(32:13):
So I don't know, got the short.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
End of the stick. Because he also didn't end up
with Kelly, because he ended up Jesse, And which is.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
You don't like Jesse?
Speaker 4 (32:22):
No, I feel like.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
So Yeah, Mario Lopez commenting on that post was bizarre
but okay, but nothing like what just recently has happened.
We now have a celebrity feud going on, and it
involves Sky. I mean, of all people, Sky doesn't really
get in there that much and take a lot of
(32:46):
big stances on the show.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
That's sort of Thor's territory.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Thor will go after anybody you know, and he'll he'll
rip you the shreds and you know you're probably gonna
hear it at eight o'clock this morning and in the
midweek Milltown so u, Thor will will go out after
there's a lot of celebrities that annoy for it'll that'll
take down. But it's very rare for Skuy to do.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
This.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Guy is always trying to be nice and whatever.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
I don't I don't want I don't want drama. I
don't want the confrontation like you know, I I triumph.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
I don't want to hurt anyone's feeling.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
I don't I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
But uh, this day that this came up, I don't
know if I was struck a nerve.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
I don't know if I was in a mood. I
don't know if it's a nerve. I don't know if
it was the two things together. But and I didn't
even see this come in. But the more we talked
about it, the more fired up I got about the topic.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Yeah, well, you know, it was the most random thing
of all time. Yeah, that we were talking about Kylie Kelsey. Yes,
who is Jason Kelsey's wife, Uh huh, you know from
a football players big personality. Now his wife has a podcast,
and she went on her podcast and was talking about
(33:56):
how she's really sad because her children have to now
deal with the fame of her husband's and we were
kind of thinking about it and I'm like, wait, you're
on your podcast talking about fame and your children, which
is sort of a parent podcast about kids, like a
(34:18):
mom podcast.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
And also they did a whole documentary on Prime which
is kind of how Jason Kelsey kind of blew up
because he was he was a center for Offensive Lineman
center for the Eagles. They don't you don't really hear
about it.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
But he's Travis Kelsey's brothers.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
But the documentary really and the documentary was in their
house of him with his kids and his wife that
because we didn't know who Kyleie Kelsey was before the
documentary either, so she they put their kids on camera,
which is fine.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
So it seemed a little hypocritical.
Speaker 7 (34:54):
Well, and talking about.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
It on her podcast, which has grown made People Magazine
do an ARTI coal about it and like it became
a news story because she said her kids having to
deal with fame are is quote yuck is quote terrible
and quote makes her sad. So going back to all
(35:16):
the things you guys just said about they signed up
for the documentary that is, she started this podcast. She
uses her social media to basically expose everything going on
with her family and her.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Kids, which not like a spokesperson for like Huggies. Yeah, yeah,
what yeah for jolly.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
To do all that I have?
Speaker 3 (35:37):
No, Ye, don't complain about it. You're leaning into your face.
So yeah, we talked about it, but Sky, of all people,
was like the most hyped. Like we kind of all
backed up and went whoa, yeah, I got.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
There was probably a good two minutes where I may
have blacked out a bit because I just started like
it was it.
Speaker 6 (35:59):
Was yeahs probably he probably blocks most yeah, and I
just I just blocks out for other reasons.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
And I just started going off about how hypocritical I
found it and if you did find it so yuck
and terrible and sad.
Speaker 7 (36:18):
Then why did you choose to.
Speaker 5 (36:20):
Do a podcast and a doctrum like it? Just and
and I'm not to say I'm not a hypocrite in
my own life, I mean, my own moments, but this
just flipped a switch in me and I got after him.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah, I got a little like like that was weird.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
It was a lot.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
It was so kind of out of character for you.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
And strange that Jamie who's in charge of like taking
little moments from the show and posted them on social
and whatever. You know, he'll take whatever moments and he'll
post them, he'll edit them up and whatever. And so he,
I guess liked that you going off on Kylie Kelcey,
clipped it, put it on social media, didn't think two
things about it, and so we posted it, you know,
(37:10):
like that day or whatever that weekend. And of course
what you do on social media, you tag, you hash tag,
you do all that stuff, and so, like, like the
smart little social media maven that he is, he tagged
Kylie Kelsey in it.
Speaker 7 (37:24):
And I'm not gonna lie. When I saw this on
social media and saw that, like within.
Speaker 5 (37:30):
The first sentence he tagged Kylie Kelcey, I immediately like
felt weird, felt bad, felt self.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
Conscious, you'd done sunder.
Speaker 7 (37:41):
Which is the ultimate punishment.
Speaker 5 (37:44):
And so again when I felt it was like anonymous,
you know what I mean, It's like talking crap behind
somebody's bad show. Yeah, I know, but like I get
what you're saying, though, but I know she doesn't listen
to our radio well I think she does listen to
our radio show.
Speaker 7 (38:01):
It's like when you're talking.
Speaker 5 (38:02):
Crap, okay, okay, And so it's like when you're talking
crap about somebody and you find out they're like standing
within earshot. So when I saw he tagged her, like inside,
I'm like, please don't let her see this, Like.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Oh really, who cares?
Speaker 2 (38:20):
It's just me brother?
Speaker 5 (38:23):
I agree, but you know how I am me being me,
wanting to be nice, not wanting to make Like immediately
when I saw he tagged her, I was like, oh.
But then I'm like, hey, don't be a weirdo. She's
clearly not gonna see this post. Like she probably gets
tagged in so many things, like I mean, you basically
(38:44):
call her a terrible mother, definitely like and over, definitely
a hypocrite on many levels.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
She saw it and responded, Wow, you'll just you've done
Son somebody it's not expected to be.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
I think that people need to understand how impactful you've done.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
So it's over.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
So like in Hollywood, they know you don't want to
get you done soned by Sky like being canceled. Yeah,
because you done Son gets You're not going back.
Speaker 7 (39:16):
There's no going back.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
No.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
I mean the Duke lacrosse team got you done sonned
over ten years ago and they were found not guilty.
And the girl I think the minute did she lied
and got in trouble for it. And Sky has still
you done Son them.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
It doesn't wrong.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Those poor those kids lives.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
Were ruined, not just them, the entire school. Yeah, nothing
across when it comes to March madness. I'll never pick
Duke because one of the best teams, which is really
stupid the way back then, allegation.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Vike Vic got your done Sons change his life around.
Great guy, big spokesperson for dogs. Still to this day,
you're done Sundays it's yeah. If you ever one of
my biggest fears in life is getting you done Son.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Death penalty, I would say so, yeah, almost.
Speaker 7 (39:58):
Worse, pretty massive. Chris Brown also got you done.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Michael Jackson.
Speaker 7 (40:04):
Yeah, Michael Jackson.
Speaker 5 (40:05):
Got you done, Son, which is really hard because occasionally
a song will come on the radio and I'll find
myself singing along.
Speaker 7 (40:10):
And They'll be like, what are you doing for?
Speaker 3 (40:13):
We post this on our Instagram page, you know, the
clip of Sky screaming at poor Kylie Kelsey.
Speaker 7 (40:20):
I got a little heated.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
She ends up You're done sonning her No, well, Kylie
didn't like it. Kylie didn't like and has responded directly
to you. Sky.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
Kylie Kelsey responds and says, this is an interesting rant.
Thanks for the advice.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
Sky.
Speaker 5 (40:45):
She went to the Sky school of passive aggressive.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (40:54):
My big passive aggressive thing is I'm confused always, I'm
confused by what you're saying. But her thing is clearly interesting.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
What's what's so interesting about it? Like?
Speaker 7 (41:08):
Yeah, because because the word she's taking.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
It, maybe she's taking it in Like, oh wow, you
make a good point.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
A Cancler podcast.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Let me ask you, this is Sky now not going
to be invited to the Travis Taylor wedding.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
So it's funny that you mentioned this because my wife
saw this the other day and yesterday and said to me,
you think Kylie talked to Taylor Swift about that. I mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
I called her future sister in law says, oh, you
got to see what this bitch in San Diego said.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
My wife Haley said the scene, and she was like,
they're just talking and and how's it going? And Kylie
maybe he had just seen Sky's thinking about all this chick,
I don't even know what this radio show is. His
crazy hair kind of looks a weird aut Okay, I
don't think she'll have a horrible mother. And then Taylor
Swift was like, what a song about her and everything?
Speaker 5 (42:03):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (42:03):
What next? You know, like Ryan, we have Ryan Reynolds
getting involved. What the hell's guys being Okay, what the
hell is going on?
Speaker 2 (42:15):
Sky?
Speaker 1 (42:15):
You're feuding with Kylie Kelsey?
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Yeah? Yeah, and you know what.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
And then it was such a backhanded insult because a
lot of our listeners saw that, and of course they
could just be like, I agree with Sky. They had
to be like, this is crazy. This is one of
the only times I've ever agreed with Scott. I can't
believe I actually agree with Sky. So not only do
(42:46):
I have that going on, but I have Kye Kylie
Kelsey who is making passive aggressive comments.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
Do you take back your your done? Son?
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Now? This is your you done? Hey, I don't know
if you take back of your and so on. I
wi my world to be flipped upside down.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
Credibility, Well yeah, I mean I still agree with all
the things I said, So why pason what she said?
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Okay, that's good. What's always good?
Speaker 5 (43:15):
I mean none of the facts have changed, Like if
there were no facts the situation.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
As a society. Celebrities cannot complain about fame because once
you complain about fame, people will get annoyed. They turn
on you, especially when you've really done nothing to be
famous other than marrying offensive line, So like and and
your and your brother in law is going to marry
Taylor Swift. That's the only reason you're really famous. You
can't complain about Yeah, so I really watch yourself. Oh
(43:42):
yeah you think I think? What a hot celebrity.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
This is why.
Speaker 7 (43:53):
I don't want my nightmare?
Speaker 4 (43:55):
Now?
Speaker 7 (43:55):
Is that like she would call into the show or something.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
We're working on it.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Yes, I don't think. I don't think she's brave enough. Well,
cat fight, Remember that time Sky got into you with
Andrea Kramer.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
To do I'll never forget like like you few with
random celebrities. Man, it is very weird, you know. Uh,
the Padres big bats finally kind of showed up last night.
Well at times did it help them get the win? Well,
we're gonna tell you next to sports dirt.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
I'm frustrated.
Speaker 4 (44:33):
And tired.
Speaker 3 (44:34):
So there were times during the game yesterday where I went, oh,
maybe the Padres like big bats are finally waking up
a little bit. Here you go, okay, well, here we go.
I mean, Fernando Tatis Junior, what a game. He went
four for six at the plate. He was it seems
like he was always on base. It was great. Jackson
(44:56):
Merrill hit a triple at one point with it, you know,
knocked in first Todd Yeah, no, yes, Manny Machado at
one point out of double an RB and you're like, okay, well, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
But no Padres had chances in the eighth, ninth, and
(45:19):
tenth because it went into extra endings all to score
the winning run. I mean, at one point, bases loaded
one out.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
I said, here we go, Manny up.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
Yeah, suh, my god, no run.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
So frustrating.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
That's terrible. Yeah, heads up. You gotta make contact there,
just just so you know, that's what we're paying you for.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
The Reds took the lead in the tenth and you're like,
oh god, But then my guy Samad Taylor singled home
a run in the bottom of the inning.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
Tie it back up. He's doing his.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Then in the eleventh, Sal Stewart for the Reds hit
a two run home run off of Yuki Matsui to
give them the lead and then the five to three win,
and you just go, what the bad words? Because I just,
I mean, listen, that was frustrated. You had your chances,
(46:25):
you can't score a run. I mean at one point,
I want to see what was it the eighth, I
think Manny was on third with one out.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
You got to put the ball in the air, get
him home.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
Nah.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
I just frustrating, man, very frustrated. That one. That one
really bothered me.
Speaker 5 (46:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
That's a real fact. That's a real fact. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
I just I don't know, man, that one that one
got me the win, snaps the Reds five game losing streak.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
Let me tell you something. You got win today. You
gotta win this series because it's just I don't know.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
The Stanley Cup finals are all tied up again, as
the Hurricanes took down the gold Nights five to three
last night. These series is now tied at two games
a piece. We're all gearing up for the World Cup
to start. Cannot wait. But again that's the men. The
US women played an international friendly against Brazil.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
No, it's at international friendly. I just said that. Pay attention.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
I could care less about women's international friendlies.
Speaker 7 (47:34):
Hurtful.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
So you like women's softball, but women's soccer. No good.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
International friendlies are exhibition games.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
They're gearing up, they're important. Well, let me tell you something.
Speaker 3 (47:49):
Things got a little testy as Brazil received nawa not
to eight red cards in the game during their match.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
It's insane. As you get physical like that. Now I'm
in see you.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
You got me back, and you got me back and girls, yeah,
here we go.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
That's what's up. Here we go hair pulling?
Speaker 2 (48:13):
What did what did uh Rodman do?
Speaker 1 (48:16):
She got in me?
Speaker 3 (48:16):
She was there was like back to back international friendlies
against Brazil. She was injured in the last international friendly
against Brazil with a hard foul.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
What's up with these brazil chicks?
Speaker 1 (48:29):
They be they'd be crazy. They got booties and they'd
be crazy about that booty. Yo that's in volleyball.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
Is Dennis Robins daughter a really good terrible father?
Speaker 1 (48:43):
And oh yeah yeah, so I.
Speaker 6 (48:49):
Would know that he would be a deadbeat piece of crap.
But I didn't know you had a daughter that was
playing yeah, really really good.
Speaker 3 (48:54):
She's not.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
She she subbed in. At one point in the game,
the U s one one nothing.
Speaker 2 (49:01):
Take back, I take it back, thank you.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
Here's something that you'll be more into. Game four of
the NBA Finals is tonight. Now hopefully there will be
no violence this time.
Speaker 2 (49:14):
So gross.
Speaker 3 (49:15):
There are several videos of Knicks fans attacking Spurs fans
in the streets and like ripping their jerseys off their
bodies and they got real crazy. Many players have come
out and condoned, are condemned, excuse me, not condoned, condemned
the violence.
Speaker 2 (49:33):
It sucks because like New York, I don't I've been
a New York sports I've never We've never been that
fan base that fights and like beats other fans. I've
never seen that Giants games, the Yankee games. I like, like,
we don't have the reputations, so like this is gross
and I hope that like it's getting a little out
of hand, like it's it was fun and now it's
like why did it go from fun to violent?
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Literally? And I'm coming in here tomorrow with the Stefan
Castle jersey attack. You better not attack me. Remember those words.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
I'll tell you what to me. Whoever wins, whoever wins
this game, that I could win the series Castle. So
if the Spurs winn, I think now I'm a Spurs fan.
I mean I didn't talk about a dirty player.
Speaker 3 (50:15):
By the way, Oh listen, a little brunzi, get my way,
little teah my way.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
There you go that sports shirt for today?
Speaker 5 (50:24):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (50:25):
Do you guys like iced tea? You big icedy fan? Wait?
What did I say? Did I say iced tea or
did I say iced tea? Which is it?
Speaker 3 (50:37):
We need to break this down. Is it iced tea
or iced tea? We'll figure out coming up next on
the show'llrock with a five three. So it's weird that
I know this, but I noticed things.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
This is what I do.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
I'm an observer. I think this happened like this. I
could be wrong, sky, but I think this is when
I really noticed this started happening. COVID time you became
a little bit of an alcoholic that is faction. Okay,
so you were drinking almost every day, and because we
were bored and it's stuck at home, and so you
were drinking quite.
Speaker 5 (51:11):
A bit cocktails, not like beer or wine, like stiffies
cocktails every night.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
Yes, And so you started doing that and then we
got out of COVID and you kind of recognized, ooh,
I don't know that I should be drinking every day
like this, like hardcore cocktail up And so you made
this weird switch. And then I started noticing that you
started drinking iced tea. Yes, especially like if we'd go
(51:38):
out to like a lunch or whatever.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
Do you notice this too?
Speaker 6 (51:41):
I completely noticed this, and I noticed every time she
orders it, and it'd be at like dinners, and its
weird drinking.
Speaker 4 (51:46):
It is totally.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
I was like iced tea, and the hell I would go,
I've never I've known you for twenty plus years, I've
never seen you drink iced tea before.
Speaker 5 (51:53):
Yeah, And it's evolved because I enjoyed the sugar, so
I'd be putting a lot of sugar in it. And
then finally I'm like, why am I not just drinking
an Arnold Palmer. So like we actually went out to
dinner last night at BJ's Fun Fact.
Speaker 7 (52:09):
Tuesday's five dollars Pazuki Nights.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
What a deal?
Speaker 7 (52:12):
What a deal, dude? Like his eyes lit up like
it was Christmas part with.
Speaker 5 (52:20):
But so now, Arnold Palmer, And that's what I had, sugar, No, no,
because the lemonade does the work for me. So that's
what I had as my drink with dinner last night.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
But what made you make that switch?
Speaker 5 (52:35):
Because I couldn't just go straight to water. I needed
flavor after all my hard cocktails. I was doing a
lot of old fashions, I know, intent and yeah, yeah,
and I still needed some sort of like you know, drug,
some sort of stimulant, so I went caffeine, which is
the acceptable drug of choice in America. And so yeah,
(52:57):
so I felt the iced tea gave me still a
little bit of a buzz and a little bit of flavor.
Speaker 7 (53:03):
So it was kind of the go between to get
me off off the booze.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
Okay, yeah, randomly every blue moon. I think I've seen
Thor order an iced tea before. You mostly a soda
water guy, Yeah, but you've ordered an iced tea before.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
I remember, or sometimes a palmer. Okay, but I'll go
iced tea every once in a while. Yeah, I was sweetened.
I don't need it unsweetened. Oh taste like nothing. Taste
do you add if it's unsweetened? Y add a little,
we'll pack it. Uh yeah, okay, yeah, okay, yeah, Emily,
do you like iced tea?
Speaker 6 (53:37):
I do not, not not icedy fans. No, No, not
at all, Like I don't. I honestly don't recall. I
don't think I've ever ordered an iced tea. I like
water with lemon, or I'll get a coke or a sprite,
or I'll get a cocktail or like a.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
But you've had it before, right.
Speaker 6 (53:50):
I've tasted it like I've tasted it, but I've never
I don't. I don't, not as long as I can remember.
I've never said I'll take an iced tea. Oh it's
just not I don't like it.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
Not in your repertoire, like a hot tea. Not what
we're talking about, brokay Uh. Yeah, I'm not the biggest
iced tea fan. I've had it, I've drink drank it before.
In a pinch, maybe i'd drink it, but it's not
my go to at all. I'd rather just have water,
just drink water. But I mean, every once in a
blue moon, maybe I'll order iced tea if it sounds good,
(54:21):
but not very often, not very often. So this entire
conversation I've been talking, have you noticed what I've been saying.
I'm saying iced tea?
Speaker 4 (54:33):
Wait what I c e.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
Dash taka? Is that the right way to say iced tea?
Is it iced tea or is it iced with a D?
Speaker 1 (54:47):
Tea? Iced tea?
Speaker 4 (54:49):
I think I say iced iced tea, iced tea, iced tea?
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Is that right?
Speaker 4 (54:55):
I think it would be right because you're icing tea.
Speaker 2 (54:59):
Uh huh.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
It's a herb. You're saying that something is happening.
Speaker 7 (55:03):
But what's right?
Speaker 4 (55:04):
What are you saying what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (55:05):
You say iced? Yes, Well, I mean if I look
at it on a menu, it's ic T.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
Is that how You're right?
Speaker 1 (55:15):
That's how it's there's no D in there.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
But but if you look at any kind of menu
that has iced tea, his name is ice tea, not iced.
Oh you're talking about the rapper slash actor.
Speaker 7 (55:27):
But that's just the letter T, so that's different, that's
not t e a.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
Yeah, but it's still ice the iced thank you.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
Yeah. If you order iced tea anywhere, it's ice tea. Okay,
there's no D. There's no D.
Speaker 7 (55:39):
Honestly, look it up.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
Look it up.
Speaker 6 (55:41):
I feel like looking at like Arizona cans, it might
say bring ice.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
Bring up a picture of ice of liptin or anything
and see what it says said.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
Does it say I T T or does it say
iced tea? What do we got?
Speaker 7 (55:59):
We're bringing up images right here?
Speaker 1 (56:03):
So lift in there is a D.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
What the F see?
Speaker 7 (56:07):
I think I've seen it like both ways.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
On menus like I okay, that's lifted.
Speaker 7 (56:11):
Okay, so lift goes D Arizona.
Speaker 1 (56:15):
I stand corrected. I on like menus, I remember that's
a fact.
Speaker 5 (56:24):
Fact okay, Because honestly I could if I saw it
either way, I wouldn't question it. Like if a menu
didn't have the D, I wouldn't question it, and if
it did, I wouldn't eat.
Speaker 7 (56:35):
Like either way, I'd be like, yeah, I know what
they're talking about.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Oh man, I'm like blown away right now.
Speaker 3 (56:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:40):
So maybe I'm saying it wrong. Maybe I'm supposed to say.
Speaker 4 (56:44):
Iced McDonald's and sweeten iced tea with the D.
Speaker 7 (56:48):
Okay, lot today.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
So how do you say it? Then, Sky, when you
order this drink, what do you say?
Speaker 4 (56:58):
You're the one that orders it the most.
Speaker 7 (56:59):
I honestly don't know anymore.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
You don't.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
Are you questioning your life when I don't want to
hurt its feelings?
Speaker 7 (57:06):
Okay, shut up?
Speaker 5 (57:07):
Like after this conversation, I don't know what I say.
I think I say iced tea. I don't think I
use the d I think I just say ice. At
this age, I don't get we know anymore. But yeah,
I think I just say ice tea, iced tea, I think,
But I don't really don't know. I don't like I've
never paid attention. It just comes out of my mouth,
(57:29):
you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (57:30):
Well, this is a massive debate now of how are
you actually supposed to say it?
Speaker 5 (57:35):
Yeah, the people at Miriam Webster's Dictionary got in there
because they were noticed noticing that they were seeing it
written both ways, and it got to the point where
they had to issue a statement on it and said
to them, both ways are fine. But they did do
a little study and looked into just like the history
(57:56):
of iced tea, well the history of the word, but
also like if there's articles about favorite drinks and you know,
oh what's selling most and beverages. So they looked at
all kinds of articles written in the US and they
say iced with the D is six times more common
(58:16):
than without it, but still there's a substantial portion that
isn't using it. And they say that this shouldn't surprise
us because here in the US we've done this with
many words where we legit get lazy and drop off
the last letter.
Speaker 7 (58:34):
So according to them, the origin is iced with the D.
That is the origin of the word. But now most
people in the US just say ice and they say,
the same thing happened.
Speaker 5 (58:49):
With iced cream. It used to be iced cream. It
also used to be a boxed set. Now it's a
box set. It used to be skimmed milk. Now it's
skim milk. Waxed paper is now wax paper.
Speaker 7 (59:08):
And finally, whipped cream is now just whipped cream.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
Wow, that's why.
Speaker 7 (59:15):
So they say, iced tea is the last of the
group that this is happening to. But soon the D
is gonna be gone.
Speaker 1 (59:24):
Guys, Wow, it's already gone for you. Skuy.
Speaker 3 (59:28):
Unbelievable that all right. I don't know if thor is
gonna be melting down about iced tea or not. But
we're about to find out because it's time for Thors
midweek meltdown when we get back on the show on
Rock with a five three.
Speaker 1 (59:40):
All right, guys, get ready for it. It is Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (59:43):
It's like a slap in the face. Wake you up
a little bit. It is definitely time for Thor's midweek meltdown.
Speaker 1 (59:50):
And now the show is happy to bring you.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
I'm I have some respectors midweek.
Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
All right, line them up. What's going on? What has
you upset this week?
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Oh Eddie, It starts out with you.
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
You can call you Edward, that is nice.
Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (01:00:17):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Something going on?
Speaker 5 (01:00:18):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
You have a son and you think things are going
to be different, and they are for the most part,
but certain things I'm starting to notice. So he's getting
a little older, this guy. Yeah, he's seven months old now,
big boy, big big guys. Thirty inches long and twenty
three point six inches weight, which is crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:00:39):
I don't remember that's big.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
Somebody told me yesday their two year old is twenty
seven pounds. My seven month was twenty three points and
he's thirty inches, which is crazy. The doctor said he's
in the fifty percent for one year olds.
Speaker 5 (01:00:51):
Yeah, seven months, Yeah, I see you show us, You
show us a lot of pictures.
Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
I don't know where he gets it from.
Speaker 7 (01:00:57):
And I'll see pictures of other babies and I'll be
like were they like it throws off?
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
Well and this is all I know, so like it's weird.
I also like we take him to like Lifetime, to
the childcare, and like people will think he's older than
he is and he's not crawling or walking yet, so
that I'm like, I'm like, he's seven months. I'm like
self conscious that they flow. Yeah, yeah, he's gonna be okay,
he's gonna be okay. Yeah, yeah, he's driving us there.
(01:01:28):
But he's seven months old now, so he's a little
things are starting to change. Like he's got a little
stranger danger going on, a little bit of that where
he's at the Lifetime and the childcare, he's crying and
he wants, you know, somebody coming me or my wife
to come and get him.
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
I know, little bit, I mean he is, he is
a little bit milicoptered.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
He's not seven years old these seven months. So and
then my wife told me yesterday that he was in
a little jumpy, and he has had the time of
his life. And then she left the room to go
to the bathroom for a second and he immediately started crying.
So but luckily little separation anxiety. This is this is
brand new because before he didn't even realize.
Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
Yeah, you wouldn't notice.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
No, there's something going on recently, and it took seven months.
I feel like that's more than enough time because I
want to rant against my son.
Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
I ranted. I ranted for things my wife has done.
I ranted for things you guys have done my parents.
But now it's time that my son fills the wrath
I mean, is he Yeah, I think you ranted on
him already.
Speaker 5 (01:02:47):
You definitely dropped some comments there, maybe not a full ramp,
a full off.
Speaker 7 (01:02:53):
There's been comments.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
So this little this little guy starting to do something
a little crazy. I noticed that my wife gives him kisses,
a lot of kisses, forehead kisses, nose kisses. I give
him kisses too, do the thing where I pretend to
bite his feet and he loves it. He goes, that's
the funniest thing ever to this guy. Well, I noticed
(01:03:17):
when I go to pick him up he turns his head.
He'll give me a hug every once a while, but
turn his head when my wife goes and picks him up,
smiles and then opens his mouth and puts it on
her cheek and gives him kisses. Oh I don't get kisses.
Oh there's no kisses it. And then I'm starting to
(01:03:39):
that's a little crazy. I also notice, like when we're
at Lifetime, when I go pick him up, keeps crying.
When my wife goes picks him up, stops crying. So
I'm starting to see these little things and I'm starting
to and then I start noticing, well, what's Haley doing?
And I feel like she's doing this on purpose, where
like like I'll give him his formula, I'll give him
his eight ounces, look at his eight ounces, but like
(01:04:02):
she'll like smash up blueberries and avocado and make him eggs,
like baby him a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
Wait what she's feeding him nutrients?
Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
I'm feeding his eight ounces. She's baby a little bit.
And I feel like she's gotten him to love her more.
He loves her more, and it's like really pissing me off.
It's like, does this kid know who keeps the lights
on in this house? Okay, does he does he like
the formula that he gets from Costcow.
Speaker 7 (01:04:34):
Now I don't, I don't.
Speaker 5 (01:04:36):
I know you're tender about this right now, but but
you see there's a pattern here of you picking him
up and putting him by your face. Now, Eddie for
years has commented on your breath. He says he turns
his head when he goes for kisses, and he cries
(01:04:58):
when he brings. I don't think Eddie has impaired your
breath to something very unfortunate for many years. And I
don't know if this are we popping a mint before
we go?
Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
I don't think it's a breath issue. I use a
tongue scraper.
Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
Now that's that is so no longer.
Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
That was what you said.
Speaker 7 (01:05:18):
I didn't want to say it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
It doesn't smell.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
I don't think that's the issue. Could have been beard. Oh, honestly,
like he gives he gives her kisses. It's crazy. And
then she's always buying new clothes. He's a fact because
he grows out of it. Here's the thing, pal does
he as a as a dad. I gotta tell you
(01:05:43):
this does happen.
Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
It sucks.
Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
It's we we get the short end of the stick.
It's because the mama's boy. These these women, yes, hell,
they're like always there.
Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
Okay, we were the only ones that could get sorry
we go to work.
Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
Sorry where the men? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
He does he like his clean clothes from his washer
and dryer. That I got it?
Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
Who does that? My son?
Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Does? He does?
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
He like the fact that you do that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
I do that. You do his laundry, I do his
I fold his laundry. Does he does he like? Does
he like taking a bath? Could I do that?
Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
Puts him down every night? This guy really most I
would say five to six nights out of the week
because Haley cooks. So then I put him down and
I put I feel like I am.
Speaker 5 (01:06:29):
But you sing weird songs and you read weird books.
You can't pronounce dinosaur names, like we've.
Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
Doing bad job. He was doing a bad job a pat.
Speaker 7 (01:06:40):
Anybody sings lullaby?
Speaker 6 (01:06:42):
Yeah, and we've heard he doesn't like like the baby
stuff like the he doesn't want to watch, like he
doesn't want his kid to watch like I'm Disney Junior.
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
On and all that stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:06:49):
It's like sports babies watching.
Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
Babies watched the Yankee game last night.
Speaker 6 (01:06:53):
Babies babies respond to hy god look respond to that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
So I put him down at night with eight ounces,
and we listened to a giants podcast.
Speaker 7 (01:07:08):
Together, a podcast, dude, Yeah, And then and.
Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Then and then I rub his belly. When I put
him down, I give him those kisses, forehead kisses and
then four kisses again and tell him to have a
good night, and then I leave the room have a
good night. When my wife does it, I just feel
(01:07:33):
like he likes it more. And I and this kid
better change his ways because I'll start taking things away,
maybe a little, maybe a little less formula everyone.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
I mean, you're gonna starve your child. That seems he's
still gonna eat. He's still gonna eat. I was with
you for a second.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Maybe maybe he doesn't need some new clothes. I'm just
saying it's gotten a little ridiculous and I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
You need to call down.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
It's not fair.
Speaker 5 (01:07:59):
I do, I do, I do?
Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
We split it fifty to fifty, me and my wife.
It doesn't I feel like he gets more love. How
is that fair?
Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
The kid always has the favorite. It doesn't matter how
much you're there. My husband is there more than I am.
Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
And he's still not the favorite.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
Yeah, but you drove the wedge between Yes, you wanted
to be the favorite. You wanted to be the favorite wife.
Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
They's doing the same.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
No, do you want that same? You don't want that
next thing?
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
You know, she's gonna buy cigarettes and booze.
Speaker 5 (01:08:27):
Like, I don't do that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
I don't has Haley yet bought a necklace with his
name on it?
Speaker 5 (01:08:34):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:08:34):
Walker, that's coming or with something with a W on it.
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
She doesn't have that yet.
Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
No that I that.
Speaker 4 (01:08:43):
That happen.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
No, don't do that it Yeah, we will get the
short end of the stick. It does suck, but it is.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
What it is.
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
What are you gonna do?
Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
He's probably live this kid?
Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
You know?
Speaker 1 (01:08:53):
Wait, well soft.
Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
Politics? Give I don't know again. Every time I think
I have your backy, then I'm out. You're not making
any sense.
Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
You're not making sense. Okay, good good luck.
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
McDonald's apparently is adding something to their menu that is
very different for them. People seem to really like it, though.
We're gonna hear what they're going to be doing that
is very different for them. Coming up next on the show,
a rock with a five three. So I guess McDonald's
is making a pretty big announcement. They're talking about making
(01:09:27):
a big change to their menu and people are kind
of freaking out about this. It's not a like particular
item that they're going to be doing, it's how they
do things.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
I think, Eddie, we're gonna find out about this right now.
Did you know about this already?
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
Dude, I'm talking about I mean, is that a real question?
How do you think we got the story?
Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
Wait?
Speaker 5 (01:09:51):
So you you're you.
Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
What do you? Adam Schefter?
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Ah? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:10:05):
So as of now, the reports are they are adding
something to the menu, but people are wondering does this
mean other things will slowly disappear because.
Speaker 7 (01:10:19):
It may be a little he knows something.
Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
Crazy.
Speaker 7 (01:10:26):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (01:10:27):
Now McDonald's has been testing some new products in the
Chicago market, just at four Chicago locations, and they say
the response has been huge.
Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
Okay that's another word.
Speaker 5 (01:10:45):
No, seriously, and he's not wrong, like people are saying,
we love this, Please offer this stuff nationwide. And it
has to do with their chicken items, because I guess
chicken sales, especially.
Speaker 7 (01:10:59):
In the US, are growing twice as fast as.
Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
Definitely a chicken.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
Do people think chicken is that much healthier?
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (01:11:10):
I mean, think about it.
Speaker 5 (01:11:11):
Raising canes anyway, Dave's Hot Chicken, Chick fil A. I mean,
these are completely chicken exclusive fast food places, and there
are some of the most popular places out there.
Speaker 6 (01:11:23):
You know, people don't really understand nutrition, so they just
think chicken over beef, that's way better.
Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Even.
Speaker 5 (01:11:30):
Yeah, So McDonald's has just announced, due to this overwhelmingly
successful test in Chicago, they are going to be adding
a line of hand breaded chicken items to their US.
Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
Men have like a chicken sandwich and like a chicken I.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
Don't want to talk about in his industry secrets here
four those are frozen patties.
Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
The way it works, couldn't tell.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Yeah, the way it works is, you know, you get
the truck, the delivery truck that shows up and they
have boxes of the frozen meat, the frozen patties, obviously
frozen chicken, all these things, frozen everything, and you know,
you unload them, put them in the freezer, and then
you know, when somebody orders one, you throw them in
(01:12:25):
the fryer and they're cooked. Now they're talking about actually
hand breading the chicken.
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
So people behind the grill are going to have to
really step their game up.
Speaker 1 (01:12:35):
It's it's insane to.
Speaker 6 (01:12:36):
Be honest with you, hand bread them at a factory,
freeze them, and then that's how they'll get them.
Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
Them.
Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
That's like you could get.
Speaker 6 (01:12:46):
Would be the point, because they can still call it
handbreaded and people think they're getting a better but they're
just going to throw the fryer.
Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
To me, that wouldn't make a lot of sense to
do it that way. I think there's going to be
a breading station easy.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
I feel like the Hamburglar would suggest what Emily just suggests. Yeah,
typical Emily is definitely the Hamburglar.
Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
Of the show. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:13:13):
So the items that you're going to see are going
to be the deluxe Mick Crispy.
Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Sandwich.
Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
Oh yeah, that's like the one with the pickle or
the tomato.
Speaker 7 (01:13:25):
That they already have that, but this is the deluxe
because it's hand.
Speaker 2 (01:13:29):
Not an idiot, because I didn't know anything.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
They're going to have Mick Crispy tenders look out o tenders.
Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't have tenders yet they do.
Speaker 4 (01:13:41):
They do remember sauce that I loved Asian sauce.
Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
What is wrong with you? Man?
Speaker 4 (01:13:46):
We tried them in here.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
I'm sorry, I forgot because.
Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
A really idiot.
Speaker 5 (01:13:49):
But the wild thing that people are waiting to see,
how does this sell? Does it stick around for a while?
Is the mixed spicy bone wings.
Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
They're gonna do wings bone in bro Mick wings.
Speaker 5 (01:14:05):
It does it, says mcspicy spicy, spicy risk man.
Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
Because if they're too fatty.
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
Well, I mean other place.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
So wings, yeah, but they're not good. I expect I
accept top quality.
Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
You do. That's a golden brown breading with a black
pepper flavor, little stickles of black pepper in them. Now.
McDonald's did try wings for a few years. They were
called Mighty Wings and they were like in the nineties
through the early two thousands.
Speaker 7 (01:14:35):
But ended up discontinuing them because they did not sell
or nuggets yeah, nugg and people.
Speaker 5 (01:14:41):
But the fact that these ones are handbreaded, have a
spicy vibe to them.
Speaker 7 (01:14:47):
It'll be interesting to see how the US response.
Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
I wonder if we could find somebody that can get
this in studio for us.
Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
You know, well he knew somebody, Emily. You know how
it goes when you have a breadings. Okay, you gotta
have one hand for the breading and one hand. They
can't go in the breading, yes, because otherwise you're gonna
have junk all over your hands.
Speaker 6 (01:15:11):
It's a nightmare. And then by by the end of it,
I'm wearing a bread and glove. Like my hand, I
have a glove made out of it, and look at
that hand, it looks like a full chicken hand.
Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
So that that's my concern is the fools in the grill, like,
are we going to be cross contaminating?
Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
That's why I don't think there's any chance they're not
doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:15:34):
It's gotta go glove, you can go gloves.
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
They're going. No, they're doing it. Read bread, bread, hand
bread in a factory and freeing.
Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
There's no way they're doing that. You're not telling me nothing.
Speaker 7 (01:15:44):
Because you can buy stuff right in the freezer section
a grocery store.
Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
Chunks the one I love.
Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
The chickens. Those are hand bread and chicken chunks that
are frozen and air frying. Yeah, I mean it would
be crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
It would be crazy to order like a Big Mac
and have that same person have to go and make
hand brand and chickens.
Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
Well, there's other happening. There's two different stations.
Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
This car.
Speaker 1 (01:16:06):
I can't get over this.
Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
Different You gotta go over there and make the fries too.
Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
Yeah, and then take your order in the drive. Okay, Now, no.
Speaker 7 (01:16:28):
Exact date yet. This announcement was just made that they're
going to roll this out nationwide, so.
Speaker 5 (01:16:34):
As of at least my information, I'm not as but
no exactly yet.
Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
I'm sure you guys have been here before. You know
it goes.
Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
You get together with your group of friends and you
end up taking a bunch of pictures for socials.
Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
You know, get everybody together, everybody, we got to take
a pictures. You act like we were all friends.
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Well, one friend group is not happy about how one
friend in the group is taking these pictures. Okay, we're
gonna see what the group is saying about this one
friend when we get back on the show at five three. Inevitably,
if we all four go to lunch or go out
or whatever, Emily at some point will yell out, we.
Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
Gotta take a picture, we gotta take a picture.
Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
God, don't do it. And if you don't want to
do it, she legitimately gets sad and like almost cries
and sad first mad, first mad, and then acts like
you just told her that she's a bitch and you
don't want to be around her and I hate you
and I hate you, and then she goes okay, like
like like you've just scolded her. It's the wildest thing.
Speaker 6 (01:17:46):
That's serious, Emily, because I feel like the time I
do this is when we're out and it's it's like
not that often we go out as a group for dinner,
especially when we go to This is mainly in our
conference that we go to, and I take it seriously,
like that's my job.
Speaker 4 (01:17:58):
I have to get us a.
Speaker 1 (01:17:59):
Couple of films. Though nobody told you, because when I go.
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
Out with friends, I'm never the photo check.
Speaker 1 (01:18:04):
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
I'm not you don't know the photo check for us.
Speaker 6 (01:18:07):
I feel like I do because that we need to
put it on our social media, feel like like we
went on that trick.
Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
But you also when everyone goes, I don't want to
right now, you don't have to get so effected.
Speaker 3 (01:18:18):
This is what happens because again she's had a couple
of pops I'll be having a conversation with and she goes, yeah,
we got to come out are take a picture.
Speaker 1 (01:18:25):
I'll go can I I'm talking to.
Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
It is really that important?
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
And then about and then I go.
Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Okay, sorry, Emily does this, okay, sorry, and then I
got and then now it's not fun anymore. I don't
want to take the I don't want to I don't
want to take.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
The Emily and tears in the court.
Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
Not practically, it's like a slapter.
Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
Never have I acted like that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
Get angry, you go, okay, I don't know why Eddie
just yelled at me.
Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
It does so, yeah, you know, we will go through
these horrible situations. But yeah, that's what you do when
you're with a group of friends. Inevitably somebody will go like,
all everybody, what's up here?
Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
You go something big.
Speaker 4 (01:19:19):
Picture, you know, and maybe just lean over.
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
If you're at a table, guys take picture boom boom.
Speaker 3 (01:19:28):
Okay, Well, I guess there's one friend group who is
now trying to figure out what to do with a
certain friend in this group who has an issue with
these pictures.
Speaker 5 (01:19:37):
Yeah. So the friend group is disagreeing to the point
where one of the friends posted on the Reddit thread,
am I an a hole?
Speaker 7 (01:19:44):
Because some of the group is saying you're an a
hole for.
Speaker 5 (01:19:48):
Even suggesting this. Now, you may or may not know
a person like this in your life. I feel this
is more common with women than men, but I'm not
one hundred percent sure. They have a friend and in
their friendship group that is the girl who doesn't want
to be in pictures that are going to be posted.
Speaker 1 (01:20:09):
On social media show the face.
Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
She doesn't a couple versions of this friend.
Speaker 6 (01:20:15):
So I've got a friend that, in certain situations will
not want anybody to post anything on social media.
Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
Like what are you guys doing?
Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
Like maybe they don't want to hurt people's feelings that
weren't invited.
Speaker 7 (01:20:25):
There, Oh, who aren't there with them?
Speaker 6 (01:20:28):
Other friend that Eddie's referred to would show the face,
does it like photos of her baby being so she
like will say if we're out there.
Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
Not Megan Markle, Like, what are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (01:20:37):
She'll say, no, please don't post an photos of my child.
Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
So if you're at like a big barbecue with families
and it's at her house, it's at her hotel, and
her kids are in it, you're not allowed to post yes, yes, okay.
Speaker 6 (01:20:50):
Yeah, okay, And Eddie says, show the face because at
one point my dad saw this on social media.
Speaker 4 (01:20:55):
Sticker on the kid's face.
Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
Is one of the most legendary things. We love the
honestly I'm going to get a shirt that has this.
Speaker 4 (01:21:05):
More of a grizzly old man at his older age.
Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
I don't give it.
Speaker 4 (01:21:08):
Doesn't give it, he wrote, just a response to her photo,
show the face. That's all I wrote. That's all I wrote.
Speaker 1 (01:21:17):
Enough you didn't like? Why does he want to?
Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
She did?
Speaker 4 (01:21:24):
He didn't like that.
Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
He was over it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:25):
So I got to respect it. I respect it.
Speaker 6 (01:21:28):
So like, what is this?
Speaker 5 (01:21:30):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
What? I can't post a picture?
Speaker 5 (01:21:32):
Why?
Speaker 7 (01:21:32):
So anytime they have they have that moment, she makes
it a thing of.
Speaker 2 (01:21:37):
Like with her with her five hundred followers. By the way,
what does it matter?
Speaker 7 (01:21:42):
Yeah, she's gonna make it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
Don't post this, don't.
Speaker 5 (01:21:45):
Post this, or if you're going to post it, then
I'm just going to remove myself from the picture.
Speaker 6 (01:21:49):
By some girls get crazy, though, like I can understand
certain situations not wanting to post it. I did end
up leaving out a handful of people that mean something
to me, but they didn't make the cut for this necessary.
Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
Does not mean that much if they didn't make the.
Speaker 4 (01:22:03):
And also, I don't care you don't as a male.
Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
I'm just saying if I don't, if you didn't invite somebody,
then whatever what do I care?
Speaker 1 (01:22:12):
You go, hey, what what was it all at that?
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:22:15):
Yeah, that's how I feel too, But a lot of
women aren't like that. They'll get the feelings hurt. Then
they'll why wasn't I invited? And then there's or chatter and.
Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
They grow up.
Speaker 5 (01:22:21):
And then there's some women, which you know, I don't
know if this is a vibe or not, who aren't
happy with their appearance.
Speaker 1 (01:22:32):
Or about this, How about this? What you take the
picture there? Let me see, let me see it, Let
me see it, let me see you go, okay, you
can go. No, no, no, you can't do you can't
house Oh my god, what now? I don't want to
take a picture.
Speaker 4 (01:22:42):
Or they run It looks like I'm crossied and then
I'm like seven hundred pounds.
Speaker 5 (01:22:47):
Or they run or they run over all their pictures.
So if somebody else doesn't filter, does that.
Speaker 1 (01:22:54):
She'll filter herself. But then I do that.
Speaker 2 (01:22:59):
They have seven fingers.
Speaker 5 (01:23:01):
Yeah, she always posts looks like porcelain whoa or door
always has his eyes closed, and Emily just posts it anyway.
Speaker 7 (01:23:08):
That that happens that she does not care.
Speaker 4 (01:23:10):
I mean, guys, eyes are always closing photos.
Speaker 5 (01:23:14):
Sou so A couple of the friends say, I'm over it.
If she doesn't want to be in our pictures, then
she's no longer gonna get an invite.
Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
To her feelings and you can't post at all.
Speaker 5 (01:23:27):
And the other group were saying, that's a bit harsh,
that's too much.
Speaker 7 (01:23:31):
She can still be invited, and oh.
Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
They didn't want her in the group at Allted, like
that's that event?
Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
What did you say like that? Like, all right, just
don't be in the pictures then.
Speaker 5 (01:23:40):
Because it's annoying every time, like you're sitting around the table.
Speaker 3 (01:23:44):
And she has to right, Jessica, we're going to take
the picture now you don't want to be in so
can you I'd start making it like a to do
about it every time I make a big production. Okay, guys,
we're gonna take a picture, and we know Jessica doesn't
want to be in it, so can you step aside? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:24:00):
Yeah, oh I'd throw it. I make it so uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (01:24:03):
Right, But if Jessic, because even in the background of
the picture, then get out, get out of the picture.
Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
But at a party, okay, okay, okay, how about this, Jessica,
You're now going to be the designated picture taker.
Speaker 1 (01:24:13):
So come over here, here we go. That's your job.
I don't think you should our face, Jessica. Whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
We have talked before about our favorite pop tart flavors,
this has been very controversial.
Speaker 1 (01:24:32):
Yeah, and this is like years in the making.
Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
Well, we're gonna see what actually has been named as
the most popular flavors of pop tarts.
Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
I think we all know. I think we all know.
We'll go over that when we get back on the
show and five three.
Speaker 3 (01:24:50):
So in the lore of the show, this subject matter
has come up a couple of times, and it's gotten weird,
and I'm not really sure why the subject of pop
tarts has come up, and it got kind of weird.
One time it got kind of weird because Emily was
(01:25:12):
talking about pop tarts and how she would eat pop
tarts with the plane right.
Speaker 7 (01:25:18):
Not icing plain strawberry, no icing I didn't even know
they made those?
Speaker 1 (01:25:23):
Well who would eat them?
Speaker 7 (01:25:24):
Like yeah, like why would they sell them?
Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
Like, well, do you remember what I do with them?
Speaker 1 (01:25:28):
If don't you put butter on them or something.
Speaker 4 (01:25:29):
Put them in the toaster and then afterwards.
Speaker 1 (01:25:34):
Got a girl.
Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
Hold stripping.
Speaker 5 (01:25:48):
This.
Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
Guys, give it a little.
Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
You gotta you gotta, you gotta butter flavored pop t.
Speaker 1 (01:26:04):
Give me the butter She's butl have found the butter.
Girl's happy as he's ever made. So yeah, we're we're
(01:26:24):
done with a butter bit.
Speaker 3 (01:26:27):
So Emily forced us all to have said pop tart
in here the way she likes it.
Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
We tried it.
Speaker 7 (01:26:38):
I need icing.
Speaker 1 (01:26:40):
That's the best party.
Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
That's literally the best pop tart? Would you warm with
warm butter on top?
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
Delicious?
Speaker 1 (01:26:46):
It didn't hit the same, No it did.
Speaker 4 (01:26:48):
You didn't hit the same.
Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
It wasn't horrible, but it was I mean, I'm not.
Speaker 3 (01:26:52):
It wasn't off putting. Yeah yeah, but well we didn't
love it the way Emily loves it, and so whatever. Okay,
that gout weird and also got a little strange. I
don't really understand why. When we were talking about our
favorite flavors a pop tart, one.
Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
But one of us has a flav most of us
have a flavor we've heard of.
Speaker 7 (01:27:15):
I agree for her.
Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
Oh do we want to do this?
Speaker 2 (01:27:19):
I guess okay, we're doing this.
Speaker 3 (01:27:22):
And I let everybody know that my favorite flavor of
pop tart, duh is raspberry.
Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (01:27:30):
I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
I didn't Maybe back then you didn't know, But ever since,
I'll go to the grocery store and I'll take a
picture of the raspberry pop tart.
Speaker 1 (01:27:40):
You have a million, one.
Speaker 4 (01:27:42):
Million a raspberry pop tart folders, and.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
I will send it to these losers, because every I
ain't know anything. Berry the most popular flavor.
Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
I mean most popular.
Speaker 1 (01:27:55):
Well after I started talking about it, people will start
buying it and they're like, you know what Eddie go right?
Speaker 5 (01:28:01):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (01:28:02):
You're right?
Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
That's what I said. By the way, Sky the original
pop tarts were not frosted.
Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Yeah, I assume that, but you know, discuss that they decide, Hey,
you know, it would be way better if we put
frosted on this.
Speaker 7 (01:28:14):
We also didn't have color TV.
Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
I mean, you know the original TV. Smart the internet
used to exist. What making things better?
Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
Tell og pop Tart they sucked.
Speaker 5 (01:28:31):
On it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
That was just why don't you go, uh, what's it?
Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
What is that thing they used to have that? They
were like the rival a scrudle toaster.
Speaker 4 (01:28:41):
There you go, but that's what you like, that's what
it is, you know, I like original pop tart.
Speaker 1 (01:28:46):
That's what a toaster is.
Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
Bro, and then you put your own cream on toaster.
Speaker 4 (01:28:51):
Icing or not icing.
Speaker 7 (01:28:53):
See why do we always fight over a different brand?
Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
I don't know why.
Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
Why are we so heated about pop tarts still? But
it gets crazy? So, yes, of course we have our
favorite flavors of pop tart out there. Yes, mine is raspberry.
It's raspberry.
Speaker 7 (01:29:10):
Dammit, you're standing by it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
I don't need them anymore. Yeah, yeah, I don't need
them anymore. And then I actually didn't need that much
even better.
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
Much ra dont because you couldn't find them.
Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
I can't find them every store I go to, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
I mean that's impossible.
Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
What's he doing?
Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
I would guarantee the Smart and Final by my house doesn't.
Speaker 1 (01:29:34):
Have let's guarantee it. Let's garantee.
Speaker 2 (01:29:36):
I've guaranteed.
Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
I'll go with you.
Speaker 4 (01:29:38):
Give Does it carry a lot of.
Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:29:42):
What about like seven to eleven? I wouldn't think they have.
Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
They probably have strawberry, they have, Yeah, they see a
lot of'mores and chocolate fudge.
Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
Yeah, yeah, but I'm grocery store sky. Well yeah, but
if Sky, I mean, you're not common Wait what owned you?
Speaker 4 (01:29:59):
I don't think so?
Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
I like raspberry, Okay, Yes, I've had some'mores. Yes, I've
had all the other ones, you know, But I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:30:07):
A raspberry man. I like fruit flavors.
Speaker 7 (01:30:10):
You're so ferdy.
Speaker 1 (01:30:10):
I like fruit flavors.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
Now, what Emily is saying about strawberry is bizarre because
she doesn't like fruit normally in her dessert.
Speaker 7 (01:30:18):
More things that are sweet or carbs.
Speaker 1 (01:30:22):
All fact.
Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
But yetikes strawberry pop tarts.
Speaker 1 (01:30:30):
So what's up with that? Man?
Speaker 4 (01:30:32):
By the way, walmut By, my house has raspberry pop tarts.
Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
Give me kiss, give you. She wants me on team
I do.
Speaker 4 (01:30:40):
Actually, I want you in my back pocket.
Speaker 6 (01:30:47):
There's something about the salty pastry aspect of the outside,
because I do enjoy.
Speaker 4 (01:30:52):
This once in a bloom and I'll have a bite
of b.
Speaker 6 (01:30:55):
What's the thing with a crumble like an apple, like
a fruit crumble, like a peach crumble. I do like
the sweetness cobbler to say, there we go on?
Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
Was to say you how to pop tart? Do you
know they're not the best?
Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
I remember you're acting, but you're acting like it's a
It's an elegant dessert.
Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
It's a culinary delight.
Speaker 6 (01:31:13):
Everything I was I was just acting saying that I
think that that's why I like the pastry with the fruit.
Speaker 7 (01:31:18):
Christina Tosta.
Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
Wouldn't that be a pie?
Speaker 3 (01:31:22):
Yeah? Sort of.
Speaker 1 (01:31:22):
You don't like pie.
Speaker 4 (01:31:23):
I don't like I'll have a bit of like.
Speaker 1 (01:31:26):
A No, not normally, not normally though, because normally we
cobblers every day cobbler.
Speaker 4 (01:31:35):
I have a butter on it, so it makes it saltier.
So thank you very much, but.
Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
Don't give me salted butter.
Speaker 1 (01:31:47):
I want my butter.
Speaker 3 (01:31:52):
So strawberry non frosted. Is your favorite pop tart?
Speaker 7 (01:31:57):
Yeah, that's one.
Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
Number two would be similar. I didn't ask you brown
sugar cinnamon one was good.
Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
I didn't ask you your number two.
Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
That's rude.
Speaker 1 (01:32:04):
And you've had so by the way, what you're right,
I know what we tried it. I you just said what.
Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
I haven't had a pop tart in thirty years guess
thirty years ago? Theseores pop tarts.
Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
And it wasn't the brown sugar one. I don't even
but you've you've you've tried it.
Speaker 7 (01:32:20):
I've seen them brown.
Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
They're brown.
Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
You're out of my pocket.
Speaker 1 (01:32:28):
It was so cozy in there.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
Okay, So strawberry no non frosted, Who would ever put
that as their face.
Speaker 1 (01:32:39):
What crazy person would old woman? Hey, like a very
old woman.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
That's Grama Nancy's flavor sky your favorite flavor of pop.
Speaker 7 (01:32:50):
Oh, it's tough to pick because I went through two faces.
Speaker 5 (01:32:53):
It started with okay, it started with the strawberry iced
of course, but then the last phase I went through
was the brown sugar.
Speaker 1 (01:33:04):
So is this uh a stoner phase? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:33:07):
Like you know, and like as a stoner, I would
go through dessert phases. You remember my mini donut phase
that I went through for a while. So the last
phase of the pop tart phase was the brown sugar.
So I think that's where I'm living.
Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
Okay, or favor flavor, it's betweensberry now, between strawberry and s'mores.
I also do like chocolate fudge sometimes. Look at this guy,
but I haven't had a pop tart thirty years, not
thirty years. I'm not a liar. I've not popart in
thirty years.
Speaker 1 (01:33:40):
Have you had the cookies and cream?
Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
I haven't yet? Is that good? But if I'm sitting here, uh.
Speaker 1 (01:33:46):
Gun to my nobody's pop tarts?
Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
So tough, gun to my head.
Speaker 1 (01:33:54):
I just pulled through.
Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
Thank you, I'm gonna sayores over over.
Speaker 1 (01:33:59):
I like, this is a big change.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
I know I love the strawberry pop tart, but man,
thisores is phenomenal, nasty, it's so good.
Speaker 1 (01:34:11):
Well, this is official.
Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
We have the official rulings on the most popular pop
tart flavors and.
Speaker 7 (01:34:17):
This is based on online sales by state.
Speaker 2 (01:34:21):
And like, they don't have a buttered pop tart.
Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
Oh, I know they would not see my own secret.
Speaker 1 (01:34:27):
It's not a secret recipe. That's how people eat it
with butter without the frosting.
Speaker 6 (01:34:31):
Yeah, oh, I didn't know that. I thought you guys
lit me up last time I said it. That nobody
puts butter even on the on the unfrosted corner, is
what we were.
Speaker 7 (01:34:39):
That's that's different.
Speaker 4 (01:34:41):
That's different.
Speaker 5 (01:34:41):
So sales by state online and if you have the
same number of states, they would look at the actual
number coming in number ten with one state. Raspberry Why
our brother, our brother to the west, broberry.
Speaker 2 (01:35:03):
I don't think I've ever had a raspberry, so I
have to try on the website the amount of flavors
or wild. I didn't know there was a cherry pop tar. Yeah,
grocery store every once in a long, Lemon blueberry crumble,
this guy.
Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
Somebody is getting crazy.
Speaker 5 (01:35:21):
Number nine, also with one state blueberry. Number eight with
one state wild berry.
Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
I've had it.
Speaker 5 (01:35:29):
Number seven, one state usually kids, frosted.
Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
Chocolitty churo whoa, whoa, that's crazy.
Speaker 5 (01:35:37):
Number six with three states, frosted hot fudge Sunday. Number five,
also with three states, frosted blueberry. Number four with four
states frosted cherry. Number three with nine states frosted brown
sugar cinnamon.
Speaker 1 (01:35:56):
Really, yeah, that's a lot of people's go to I
thought that would be one or two.
Speaker 5 (01:36:00):
Number two with ten states frosted'mores.
Speaker 7 (01:36:04):
Oh, there you go, throw and coming in number.
Speaker 5 (01:36:06):
One with non frost frost thirteen states, including California, we
have frosted strawberry.
Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
Wait, so non frosted wasn't even on the list.
Speaker 1 (01:36:17):
Well, did they even make them anymore? Them?
Speaker 4 (01:36:19):
Yes, they make them.
Speaker 1 (01:36:20):
I haven't seen them.
Speaker 7 (01:36:21):
Who would buy that?
Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
I haven't seen me.
Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
Okay, well you haven't bought him in thirty years.
Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
All the time, what the Padres looked like they were
going to get another win last night, like several times,
but things didn't quite come together at the right times.
We're going to see what happened in their game. Next
to sports dirt, trying to keep cool, trying to keep cool.
(01:36:49):
It's give me tougher. Well, you know, if you can't
cash in on several opportunities, I don't know what to say.
I mean, the Padre has had so many chances to
win the game and they didn't, So it's it's getting
a little frustrated.
Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
Yeah, it's a little hard to get excited when bases
are loaded, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
Now, well you sort of know, like I mean, are
we even gonna get one across? Yeah, it's tough. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:37:14):
Now, there there was some positive signs. I guess.
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
Fernando Tazzis Junior went four for six at the plate yesterday,
so I mean, that's a that's a good day. Jackson
Merrill hit a triple, had an RBI here, I like, go, okay, okay,
Manna Machado double, had an RBI.
Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
But when it really mattered, non existent.
Speaker 3 (01:37:36):
Yeah, you know, the Reds actually forced the game into
extra innings because the Padres, they had their chances, they
had the winning run ready to go there in the eighth, ninth,
tenth inning and just couldn't get a guy across to
take the lead. So the game was tied to to
(01:37:57):
Reds actually took the lead in the tenth. Then my guy,
Samad Taylor, you know you can talk about the stars.
Yeah whatever, man, my gut, I'm a Samad Taylor guy. Okay,
that guy's money man. He singled home a run in
the bottom of the inning to tie it back up.
Then in the eleventh, Sal Stewart for the Reds hit
(01:38:18):
a two run home run off of Yuki Matsui to
give them the lead and the win five to three.
Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
South Stewart sounds like a made up name for the show.
Speaker 1 (01:38:28):
Yeah you ever go.
Speaker 3 (01:38:29):
Hang out with South Stewart show? Yeah, he goes see
my bike, my boy South. Yeah he's got you know what,
do you need a nice tomahawk?
Speaker 2 (01:38:38):
Ye?
Speaker 1 (01:38:39):
South Stewart from so he's wonderful.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
Uh. They win snaps the Reds five game losing streaks.
So day game today. I'm telling you right now, I'm
putting a lot of pressure on these guys. You gotta
win today. You've got to win today, life or death.
And you can see the video now that like staying
at stamm In and they're like other coaches were like
get into it with fans after the game. Yeah, a
(01:39:03):
little argument that was breaking out there were the coach. Yeah,
they were yelling in the stand. Yeah, I guess. I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
That's not good.
Speaker 2 (01:39:09):
I mean if you can't ye know, like.
Speaker 1 (01:39:11):
Coach Stanmonds, like the nicest guy in the final, I.
Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
Don't care what the fans says. If you're the coach
of the team, you cannot say anything. Somebody is getting
a little frustrated if if you got the if the
fans says something completely inappropriate and out of and security,
you're the manager. You can't do that. Sorry, point play period.
Speaker 1 (01:39:30):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (01:39:31):
I agree, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
Stanley Cup Finals are all tied up again as the
Hurricanes took down the Golden Knights five to three last night,
so the series is now tied at two games a piece.
Game four NBA Finals tonight. Uh Nick still hold the
two to one lead.
Speaker 2 (01:39:43):
I think the winner of this game wins a series.
A halftime, it's gonna be nuts. Sorry, it's gonna be nuts.
O dB gonna be there. He's dead.
Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
What up?
Speaker 1 (01:39:54):
Breaking news? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:39:56):
Yeah, And one of the biggest baseball stars out there
decided he he didn't have enough of watching baseball.
Speaker 1 (01:40:02):
He decided, no, I'm gonna catch a game.
Speaker 3 (01:40:05):
Cy Young winner Paul's Skiings was driving around board in
Pittsburgh on an off day and decided to swing by
a little league field.
Speaker 1 (01:40:16):
And check it out. Checked out a game.
Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
So he was trying to be incognito, a little tough
when you're like six six two and you're the biggest
star in the city. So obviously people freaked out. Skiings
ended up staying for over two hours, played a little
catch with the kids, signed autographs, and said he just
did it because he loves the game.
Speaker 4 (01:40:38):
That's so incredible.
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
Tell you what, I would hope that more guys we should.
Speaker 1 (01:40:43):
I'd be pissed.
Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
You'd be pissed.
Speaker 1 (01:40:45):
I'm trying to do a game here. Directed I got
my boy Eddie. He's focus. How can I see be focused? Paul?
I can get these boys because impression.
Speaker 7 (01:40:57):
So try to show off.
Speaker 2 (01:41:00):
Wait, so you're telling me, you're telling me Tatis shows
up to a La Mesa little league game.
Speaker 1 (01:41:05):
I don't coach for LASA anymore, but thanks anyway.
Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
That he shows up to it. Yeah, my Junior's league,
juniors league game. I said, beat it, beat it. Toddy
Machado shows up hitting lesson Listen, we already had our struggles.
We don't need that, I tell him beat it. That's serious.
Speaker 1 (01:41:27):
Wow, hero, I love it that a sports dirtboard. Today.
Speaker 3 (01:41:34):
As a man, we know, like when you got walking
with your lady on the sidewalk, you walk closest to
the street, right, That's that's.
Speaker 1 (01:41:44):
The rule, right, PTE. Yeah, that's a class move.
Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
You know. Well, we're going to go over the things
that men with class would never have our wives do
when we get back on the show A rock with
a five thirty. So I was saying there, you know,
it is the move that when you're walking with your
lady on a sidewalk that as a man, I'm taking
(01:42:10):
the hit. I walk closest to the street and you
are over to the side, and in case a car
comes barreling through the sidewalk, I will die.
Speaker 2 (01:42:21):
It's only gonna get me. I feel like the car
will get both of us. Walks are pretty narrow, but
I could just clip me.
Speaker 4 (01:42:27):
You know, it's just going to clip you. Yeah, and

Speaker 5 (01:42:58):
I held the door for him about it hour ago,
walked in the studio at the same time as you did.
Speaker 7 (01:43:05):
You're welcome, and I said, thanks, Sky, you're welcome.
Speaker 4 (01:43:08):
Eddie screamed. He just lit a match in Karris with Kerosene.
Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
I mean, guy was walking down all the way and
I didn't expect her to do that. I even I
even like, I even like ran a little bit when
I saw her holding the door because didn't want to wait.
Speaker 4 (01:43:23):
Refuse say it does well, says you.
Speaker 2 (01:43:25):
Guys, always go before me before you.

I do, so we can open the door.
Speaker 5 (01:43:30):
It's not true open, but if you're letting me go
before you, it doesn't now and I will never do
that again.

Don't worry the door or when you go first, When
you go first, I'll trip you.
Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
Wait what now, you're that doesn't sound like a classy move.
Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
It's going on here.
Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
Somebody put out an article on things that men with
class will never let their wives do because we're classy out.
Speaker 1 (01:44:00):
Okay, what do we What kind of stuff are we
talking about?
Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
Yeah, this is all over the place, from physical stuff
to emotional stuff to stuff at the home.
Speaker 7 (01:44:08):
So coming in number ten is care for the lawn.
You'll never let your lady mow the lawn.
Speaker 4 (01:44:14):
Yeah, that's kind of I mean, it's nice of you
to do it, but like I can't won't mow it myself.
Speaker 2 (01:44:18):
My wife is the yard. I can't stand working in
the yard. I would rather do anything else. My wife
does all the yard chick from this guy.
Speaker 1 (01:44:27):
No class, I mean, I just don't like it. Yeah,
it's so brutal.
Speaker 7 (01:44:33):
Yeah, no, I actually enjoy working in the yard.
Speaker 1 (01:44:35):
I don't know about mowing the lawn.
Speaker 7 (01:44:36):
Mowing the lawn.
Speaker 1 (01:44:39):
But no, yeah, because she doesn't want to it.
Speaker 7 (01:44:41):
But but the restless stuff in the yard, I like, okay,
I don't know what not doing it?
Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
Okay, when you when you would ask you, didn't you
mow your neighbor's lawn?
Speaker 3 (01:44:50):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (01:44:50):
Yeah, well my husband under my direction, my direction stand,
I don't stand on their point. He's like, I'm going
to mow the lawn, and I'm like, oh, you may
want to just, you know, accidentally fear veer over there.
Number nine thing guys will never let their wives do
if they're classy, is have her initiate all the affection.
(01:45:14):
And by affection, we're talking about holding hands, cuddling.
Speaker 1 (01:45:19):
Not sex. Guys, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:45:23):
So guy needs to go to the holding the hand. Okay,
all right, doesn't like that one either.
Speaker 7 (01:45:32):
Guys never allow her to take out the trash.
Speaker 2 (01:45:35):
That's right, Yep, my wife took out the trash. I
always have to do it. It's a man's job. Also
the dishes, and the and the and the and the laundry.
Speaker 4 (01:45:45):
If I just see that the trash is full, that
I take it out.
Speaker 2 (01:45:48):
Yeah, I wish my wife did that.
Speaker 4 (01:45:51):
To I don't know if i'm do.
Speaker 1 (01:45:55):
You hear what the boo does every night? It doesn't
even matter if it's full.
Speaker 4 (01:45:59):
All of the trash is the biggest waist ever. Yeah,
it's full plastic bags. You're wasting, We're not.
Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
There's no way a giant trash can is full every.
Speaker 4 (01:46:10):
Because it's not. Also, like they're eating a ton and
cooking it.
Speaker 1 (01:46:15):
You need to take a picture of his trash to night.
I want to see before he takes it out.
Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
What I need. I know, I need a picture every
day because because because you'll you'll full fulfill it tonight
I won't or or.
Speaker 6 (01:46:26):
It could have been fulled maybe they didn't, like maybe
they didn't take it out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:46:30):
Every night, I've had the same bag in my kitchen
trash can for like four days.
Speaker 1 (01:46:34):
Now what Yeah, that's that's unheard of.
Speaker 7 (01:46:38):
It Like, that's wild.
Speaker 1 (01:46:39):

You make like at the end of the night recycled
to so like you, they're not even combined, is what
I mean. Like I can understand maybe ifs're combined, maybe
it gets full, but like if you have both of.
Speaker 5 (01:46:50):

and puts it in the kitchen trash can, and sometimes
it's so much he's like jamming it down in there.

rarely throw away my bathroom trash because I mean never,
it's just Q tips and tissue paper, Like what else
could it be?

Speaker 7 (01:47:19):
Well, it depends.
Speaker 2 (01:47:19):

Speaker 7 (01:47:20):
My daughter's not fair. That's where she got the name.
Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
Uh so, guys, you shouldn't allow her to do all
the problems solving. It takes two to cause the problem,

she shouldn't open the car door for herself.
Speaker 4 (01:47:38):

back in the day when I had to unlocked, physically
unlock the door, you know, and then open it. But
now everything's a fob. You just hit a button and
it's open. You can't open the door yourself. Okay, well,
I'll take care of that.

If you're a gentleman, your lady should have to plan
all of the dates and all.

Speaker 5 (01:48:08):
To care for the children and do everything with the
kids without your help, whether you work or not.
Speaker 1 (01:48:14):
That's a class move.
Speaker 2 (01:48:15):

Speaker 5 (01:48:17):
She shouldn't have to manage all the emotional labor for
the family.
Speaker 7 (01:48:23):
Oh, irol I roll.
Speaker 5 (01:48:25):
