Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, Friday night was very interesting. Friday night we had
our big work holiday party, holiday party. It was January fifth,
after the holidays, no, the ninth. Yes, I was so confused,
but this is what we do. We always have our

(00:22):
big holiday party after the holidays after because it's cheaper. Interesting.
Uh So it went down, and what a wild scene
it was. Because you would imagine, you know, if somebody
maybe asked me to give a toast. That makes kind
of sense. But I wasn't asked to give a toast.

(00:43):
Emilee was asked to give a toast.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
We ain't done yet.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
It's for the podcast over a year, completely uncensored and
unacting filtered except for that part shows after show starts.
Now what I wouldn't trust Emily to make toast now,
to give a toast? Yeah, but the insane Yeah, this

(01:10):
was insane. So first of all, Thor was not there.
Now Thor is in that sweet space right now where
he can get out of anything anything. All he's got
to say is got the new baby, the baby, I
got to watch the baby now.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
To an extent, that is true. It is Oh, he's
going through like a phase right now.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Saturday was rough.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Say that every day.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's what you want me to say.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You always, you keep saying every day that he's going
through a thing.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
But sometimes are better than others, Like yeah, like Friday
was fine, but Saturday was rough.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
It's just up and down.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
But uh but yeah, I I uh so Friday night,
my wife was gonna do something. I was gonna watch
the baby, and and then I had something else I
wanted to do. But an easy way of getting out
of it is just going, oh I can I have
the baby.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
You can get out of anything right now, exactly. Yeah. So,
so Thor was not there, and this is something we
did a couple of years ago where we took a
horn blower cruise around the bay, and so it came
back this year and that's what we were going to do. Now.
It was a little different this year because there's a
couple of different boats that they have. One is the

(02:22):
bigger boat that has you know, like the two levels
and there's all you know, like a lot of space
and stuff like that. Well, we had the smaller boat
this time, and so it was pretty crammed in there.
We were all pretty jammed in there.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
And I don't know about you, but the bigger boat
was there too, but it was taking a different party
out and I wanted to be on that.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Party so bad. That would have liked this one because
they were all dressed like Ricky Bobby really and like
the different characters from Ricky Bobby. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
That's crazy to the point where one dude in our
parties like, I don't want to go on that sausage fest,
and I'm like, bro, it's guys and chicks.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
They're just alldressed up. From tell.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I'm like, no, there's women.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
You're at a party, like you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
To hook up? Yeah, yeah, you never know.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
So Ricky Bobby.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
They're on the big boat, the boat we were on
last time, and that looks.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Like a fun crew. Yeah. The only thing that was,
you know, kind of sucked, and I know Emily will
agree on this, is that there was only one bar
for our ship because we were on the smaller Yeah,
so we only had one bar and on the bigger
boat they got two bars.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah tender.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah. So it was taken forever to the drinks.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
So, I mean, the line was the entire length of
the boat the entire time.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I saved Emily though, so I was one of the
first people on the boat, and I just blined it
for the bar. I had no idea if there was
a bar upstairs or not smart, but I was like,
fuck it, I'm just going for this. And I was
like second in line. So I was like good. And
so I text Emily because I didn't I hadn't seen
her yet, and I go, hey, are you here, because
get in line like the like the this is going

(03:52):
to take forever. And it did, and then you know,
next thing, I look behind me and there's like seventy
people deep, and I'm like, holy crap. So I say
her ass though, because when I was up there the
there was a bartender and a bar back, and the
bar back guy goes, yeah, if anybody just wants wine,
I can pour glasses of just wine. And I knew
my girl Emily was going to drink wine, and so

(04:16):
I beeline it for her back after I got my drink,
and again it was like fifty people deep and in
to where I saw Emily. It would have taken you
easily half of the cruise to get your drink.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I don't disagree that, and so I walked back.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I go, Emily, you don't have to wait in line
for wine. You can go like it was like in
the cartoons when you see just like the puff of smoke,
Emily was gone. She was gone, Emily. Did you pregame?

Speaker 5 (04:43):
I had a glass of wine at my mom before,
because my mom was right down the street.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
And it's the rule of.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Three, by the way, so it goes one bottle, one
bottle bottle.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I would have if I had more time than I
only had time to slam one. So it was eager
to get that get to the front of the to
the front of the bar.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
The only issue.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
But I wasn't because of the fucking line. Like I
don't hate Shardonnay. I just choose saving on Blanc or
Pinot Grigio above Chardonnay white wine and so all they
had up there though for that with where you could
just get it right away with the damn it. So
I just said fuck it and just went with it.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
What a warrior of course, suburban down my throat too.
Bomb here that was going, I'm sorry for your open bar. Yeah,
well we got tickets, Yeah yeah. Did you get drinks?

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Drinks?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
And I usually get yours, yes, you know, because drinks,
so I usually get his. I could have said, you
know thor I'm mean, I'm gonna get his because he's coming,
but I didn't think about it. Uh yeah, so you
know I had my one drink.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Yeah, well because with that line, I'm not going back
chance to use any more tickets anyway.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
But I wasn't really keeping an eye on Emily, So
I don't know, you know, if she was going back
or not. If you because you again, you didn't have to
wait in line, so that's kind of a bonus. No,
were you able to go back and get.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
So I was.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
While I was up there, I was almost my first
glass of wine. And then one of our sales guys, Gary,
and he comes to the front and he goes, I
got you this wine. So he had like gotten me
a glass of wine because we were talking about the
bar line a little earlier.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Now I was just drinking the right white wine, but dah,
it was a whole thing. So he gave me a
second one.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
So that was the second one I had, and then
I was able to go back and do a third glass.
And those glasses and those pores were pretty fucking heavy,
they were, and it's, to be honest, shitty wine. And
it's also wine I don't usually drink, which is chardonnay.
So that makes it worse, Well, it does a little
bit because I'm just not used to it.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Were you're going around drinking other people's and glasses that
were left out like you've done before, like you've done before.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
You did not do so uh okay, So again for
it to make sense, we're all kind of ran in
this one boat, all downstairs all this stuff. Yeah, I
mean it was. It was tight course, tight course. And
so I am in one spot like a table with
sky over on one part of the boat, and I

(07:14):
don't know where i'm you know how, I'm only like
social blurifies. She disappears. We have we can't keep an
eye on her, even though we try to. I don't
know where she is. Well out of the blue, our
big boss Noreene makes an announcement that we are about
to have a toast. Can you go a toast? Well,
you know, Holly Party New Year, And I'm figuring she's

(07:35):
gonna be the one making the toast. She would do
the toast, right, So she's like, all right, everybody, listen up,
listen up. And you know there's a lot of mingling
going on all that stuff, and she goes, we're about
to have a toast. Emily is going to give a
toast Emily and I went, hole, fun.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
This is when my head whips around. And then and
I'm like, she can't be talking about our.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Im no no no, no, no no no no no no.
So I have two things going on in my head.
Number One, I know for a fact there's no way
Emily offered to do this because this is her worst nightmare.
What how did this happen? Yeah, I have no idea
what's going on. But it's on the other side, so
I don't know what conversations being had. I don't know

(08:17):
what's going on. And number two, I know she's out
a couple of glasses of one yeah, and I'm like,
Emily giving a speech is not a good thing. This
is the last time she gave a speech. And I
remembered alien remember that voice. That's a very distinct Emily voice.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Emily has a couple of glasses of anything and starts
to get a buzz on.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
She gets very loud loud.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
She also gets very touchy yes, and she also gets offended.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Really where it's like you don't like this.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
If you're like, oh, it's put on a different songs,
she'll like almost get in tears because you don't like
to say.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
It's one way or the other. It's it's very extreme,
very angry.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
She gets like on a track and if you try
and deviate from that track, she's not having it.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
But if you used to on the track, it's.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
A great fucking Yeah, you're a good time.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
If you're deviating, things could get squirrely.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
So tell me what was going on on that side
of the boat that this would even come up.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
Me and the Big Boss, we're just talking for a
few minutes and we're talking, chopping it.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Up, popping it up.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
We're talking about She was talking about my family and
how she wants to meet my mom because.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
They meet your mom.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
The whole conversation, it was all conversation. She was feeling it,
I was feeling it.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
And so we started talking about toasting and I, oh, yeah,
I know, we're big, you know.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
She said, she's a family of toasters. We're a family.
My family toasts for like every meal. There are always
every meal.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
If we're doing like a dinner together, somebody will usually toast,
like we're.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Just even if it's not an occasion.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Yeah, sometimes big dinner, just.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Like, hey, we're happy to be together family, and like.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Not a fan of your family, all right, so I
don't really. It was all like so fucking loud in
that place too, because it kind of like yelling back
and forth at each other.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
So you're just one of those things where you're just going, yeah, yeah,
totally love test.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
And then so then it was her idea. I thought
to say, hey, why don't you give the toast? And
I go, no, no, no, I don't want to give
a toast, like no, no, no, I don't.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
But she's so, you're talking about toasting, and she goes,
you should give the toast.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
I should give the toes you because we're talking about
toasting and you me and I go no, no, no, no, no,
oh my god, no please, I go.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
This is my worst nightmare. Is talking like that for
all these people right now. It's my worst time. No, no,
you got to do it. You gotta do it, you gotta.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Get And she's very pushy, she won't care.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
You gotta do it, you gotta give the toast, all right,
You're gonna.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Give the toast.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
So that's when she announced that the boat it happened. Hey, everybody,
Emily's got to give a toast.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Ship what I turned. I fucking I blackout. Haha.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
It's not from me at this point. That didn't happen
till later. But I'm my stomach falls out of my fucking.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
My body, like I'm that.

Speaker 6 (10:53):
Have it.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
It's gonna be happening, Like this has to be a nightmare.
This has to be a nightmare. So then it happened.
I don't even remember what I said, so scared.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
I don't know how, but somehow Jamie thought to record it.
Oh yes, James, I mean because I I don't even
think to grab my phone because I'm so stunned. Oh yeah,
that this is about to happen.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Kind I'd be berline like worried about She's gonna make.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Us look oh million, I was ready to jump off
the boat. Yeah, oh yeah, I sure. Oh.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
I was just worried for her. I thought she was
literally gonna like throw up on herself and pass out.
All at the same time.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
It could have been. Yeah, so we actually have the recording.
I don't want Emily's hot work speech. Listen, dude, So
remember the voice that I that you heard earlier. There's
very similar similarity played all the way through. Go ahead,
let's go ahead and listen to Emily's hot speech.

Speaker 7 (11:59):
I have literally.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
All amazing people. You guys are all supremely talented.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
It's so funny all get together and it's like, how
of our work environment aside from that, Like, you're amazing
e schools.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Wow, there's a lot to break.

Speaker 7 (12:21):
Wow, there's a lot to break you not being there
listening to that for the first time. What you think,
first of all the kiss assery is that was that
was pretty extreme?

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Doreen, You're amazing, possible, You're all so talented.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I mean, I know, I know you don't think that's true.
I mean, I know you don't think that's true. Wow,
I know you know it was put on the spot
with everybody. What's better ending than fuck it? Let's toast honestly. Like, So,
Noreen made her way over to me because I think

(13:01):
she wanted to see my reaction to what was going on.
And everything was fine, and she was kind of beaming.
Obviously she's getting shouted out NonStop, and so she was
feeling great about it. And then and we goes fuck
it less host like her face dropped and I went,
oh no, oh, no, Emily. No, you lost her on
that one?

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Lost her now one. It was loud.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
It wasn't like we were at an intimate dinner. So
I think that's why I was like, and everybody's kind
of partying at that point.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
So I think that's why I thought, you're amazing. Delete that, Jamie. Oh,
I never want to hear it again.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
No, that will live on forever, don't. I don't want
to do so. I think, what from now on, whenever
we have a big get together, we offer up Emily.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
I will never do that again again
