Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, this is uh, this is tough to report on.
To be honest with you, it's the end of an era.
Today may be it. Guys, we've done something every single
week without fail for years, and today maybe the end.
We are talking about the end of Tackle Bell Thursday.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
We ain't done yet, god.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Yet. Being filtered except for that part.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
The show's after show starts now saying it made it
real right out loud.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
I've been on the show.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
This is my ninth year on the show.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Is it really? Wow?
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Sorry, sorry, I loved every minute.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Hey, thank you Eddie for saying that.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
We actually did. Just get a really nice comment on
Facebook talking about somebody who used to listen and didn't
listen for a long time and then found us again
on the iHeart app and they hadn't listened since you
and Thor had been on the show, and they're big
fans of you got their.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Enjoyable I've been on the show for twelve years.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
I know, how wild is that? Well, they didn't even
you don't.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Make that twelve years. Really, they didn't listen for twelve
years and I've.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
Been I've been associated with the show for fifteen.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
I'm just.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Very nice, very Okay, they enjoy you.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Guys for fifteen years. Listen, they boy cut after Boston.
Rob left.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
A lot of people.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
The reason I brought that up is that.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Years we have not been doing it.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
For years, no, where as long as I can remember.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Going on.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
I swear to god, I thought talk about Thursday started
with Ashley and you and the Sky back. Then I
wave back.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
I know, I know Thursday was doing the runs. He
was the Jamie before. Oh that was Oh that's right,
Deth was in between.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
So it was it was it was Dario who it
was Jamie death Dario.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
We're going to reverse reverse order.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, seth verse Blunder scraby.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
But there were multiple Deeths in there, multi.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Fire, multiple fires. I don't know, man, it could be. Honestly,
I can't remember. It's been so long. Yeah, that talk
about Thursday has been a thing. Now. It's mainly me
and Sky that do talk about Thursday. Never fail. I mean,
like this happens that I am embarrassed admitt this that
(02:45):
every once in a while my wife will say, hey,
do you need me to make you something for tomorrow
for lunch or breakfast? And I'll go it's Thursday. Discussing, discussing,
It's like, what the nerve, I ship you not? I
ship you not. I go it's Thursday, and she goes,
oh Tacobo Thursday. Yeah every time, so nothing will offend
(03:08):
me more. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah, and my husband, My husband's aware of Taco Bell
Thursday also because on Thursdays, Yeah, well he's not pissed,
he's jealous, he's.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
He's he didn't like you eating fast food.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
These are all true, but then occasionally on Taco Bell Thursday,
he'll be like, you know how long it's been since
I've had a Taco Supreme?
Speaker 1 (03:30):
The get one, bro, And it doesn't have to be
on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Yeah, he doesn't work.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, he could drop the daughter off at school and
we'll get talk.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
For breakfast whatever.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah. No, he feels like Taco Shop is fine, but
Taco Bell is.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Like they're so different.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, he's right. But I don't know why this started.
I don't know what happened. We just really enjoyed Taco
Bell and it became a thing where every Thursday mainly
means Sky will get Taco Bell. I mean every single week.
Thor will get in every once in a while, Emily
(04:10):
will get in every once in a while, but this
has been a me and Sky thing for, like you said,
almost a decade. Yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
And like even the building knows because if anybody ever
needs sauce, like a hot sauce and they can't find
anything in this building, they know to come to us
because we literally have a drawer full of taco sauce.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
It's embarrassing.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
It's embarrassing that we honestly have to clean out every
six months because it gets so overloaded, gross with sauce. Yeah,
there's weird shit that ends up in there.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
It will load it up any minute.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
The amount of sauce that's right is like next level.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah. So talk about Thursday has been going on for
a very very long time. Yeah, and so it's great.
We love it. You know, I used to look forward
to talk about Thursday, you know where it was great.
You know, I love Taco bell it.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
So they brought back the Enterito. That was a special time.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
That was after our heavy media campaign.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Went viral went viral. Oh god, what a what a
time to be alive. But then they just teased me
and fucking took it away.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
From it they did.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
But whatever, whatever, So it's to the point where Jamie
can recite our Taco Bell or when he got when
he got hired on the show. We said, we don't
give a fuck of what you do anything like you
could fuck up anything, you could put on a curse
word on the air. I don't fire, I don't care.
But if you fuck up our Taco bell order, literally, Pal,
(05:41):
you're out of here.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Everybody, anybody that's getting the Taco Bell, if somebody's filling in, what.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Do you think that's not here anymore? These are the
things that happened that day.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Beth came and told us that Taco Bell had no
taco shells. We didn't believe, and I think I called.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Taco be.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
It was crazy. The memories h G.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
We could reminisce for I could write a book. It's beautiful.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
You could do a whole Netflix series on this talking
about Thursday. It's incredible. Well, I'm going through a journey
right now, a journey, and I know Emily hates it.
She wants me to die. I don't she.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Wants me to I don't want you to die.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
So she just doesn't want you to eat better than
she eats.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
I don't understand that. What does it matter to her.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
She wants to be the healthiest eater on the show.
She can be, but she doesn't like that you're challenging.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
It's just he's on his high horse.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Yeah, she did say that anymore. She did say that again.
I wasn't making any New Year's resolutions or anything like that.
But the new year came around and I didn't like
what I was seeing or feeling. I thought to myself,
you know what, Eddie, you know what this this donut
craze that you've been in, why, oh dude, by the
(07:07):
end of the year last year, I mean, it was
not good.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
It was a lot like the last couple of weeks
of the year. There were donuts like almost every day.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
You guys remember my slurpy addiction. It was very similar.
And it brought me back to that place of like,
I mean, it got to the point where every again,
everybody in the building knows I love donuts, and they
I don't think that's good for me. And you know,
of course, you know, you get around the holidays, you
let yourself go and you're eating like ship all the time,
(07:37):
and it's just bad and you know all these things.
And so I sat there and thought about it, and
I go, you know what, man, I'm getting up there
in ah wow, and things you know are falling apart
here and there.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
No, I was thinking as falling and are like, Ed,
I don't know what we're talking about. You. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Whatever blood work and things like that the best, I
don't know whatever. Different I mean you should know with
your triglycerites. Bro. Yeah, I've been trying to convince you
to get on the journey.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
But yeah, my doctor has to gras.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
So I know I recognize all this. And as I'm
thinking about it, I was thinking back to what I
like to call my health mentor. For this is where
Emily really gets pissed. You listen, when Thor, you can't
out run a bad diet. You can't outrun a bad diet.
That's what Thor has always told you. And so when
(08:44):
Thor was working out, this guy was eating so clean,
so healthy. The amount of times I've heard about mac
and protein and fibers and all of this ship, Okay,
can we pump the brakes here. A little bit weeks.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Before my son was born, I kind of started stressing
out a lot, and I wasn't going to the gym
as much.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
I was very stressed.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Then my son was born and it's been a disaster.
And yeah, yesterday I didn't do anything all day and
my wife was like, you gotta start doing something.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Got it?
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Not that I need to.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
I have gained some weight.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
My buddies are biking comments.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
What do you guys have for dinner?
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Hailey had something small, but I had leftover pizza because
she wasn't home in time.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Like sad. This makes me sad, So I, uh, I had.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
You want to know what I had?
Speaker 4 (09:39):
I have leftover pizza with a side of potato chips
and wrench tip.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Oh my god, like when falls off, he falls off.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
There's really nothing in the house. And I was still
hungry after the two slices of pizza.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
No carrot sticks in my house.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Haley said to get me. I should have had carrot
sticks for the fiber. So this is so last night
she she put her.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Foot down, and so I need to get back in there,
especially with my dad come into town. I need to
like lead by example my dad.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
He's going through a rough patch. It's hard, man. I'm
not sleeping a lot. This isn't about you. This isn't
about you. Okay, I'm trying to prop you up.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Well, I know, I just I don't want to spread lies.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
And I'm like, I'm right now, are definitely not saying
that when you were working out and eating rights, oh
last year, I know, can I please? Yeah, this guy
would turn down anything bad, Like again, we'd have donuts
in here and was like, no, I can't, he will power.
(10:39):
He really was.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
On man likes or somebody would bring delici.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
He wouldn't have.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
And if I did have something like that, I would
the rest of the day would be very light.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
It look great, So again, please stop.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
He ate the same thing almost every single morning, which
was basically yogurt. You eat some sort of yogurt. Yeah,
grossing you out?
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Well, you know I'm not a yogurt fan. And he's like, yeah,
it was just it was a lot to see every day.
Like I was getting burnt out on watching him eat
so healthy every day.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
It blows me away, you know, because I mean you
you would think you would get bored of it or whatever,
but you know, every once in a while, I switch
it up very rare like the.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
Souv eggs, oh gosh, egg bites from Costco.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
But for the most part you would eat yogurt and
and you were preaching the proteins and things like that.
Your crunches blueberries. This is when I first heard about blueberries.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Oh his frozen blueberry ramps that went on for like
three hours one day.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
The man knows what he's talking about. The man knows
what he's talking about.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Everybody knows blueberries.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Okay, I'll ever see you. I'm not a very healthiest
person I know thinking about it. Hey, and then once
you start getting in this zone and you look up
one thing, my entire fucking algorithm has changed and it
is all health crap. And then started talking about gut
(12:07):
health and all this stuff. So I got really invested
in health and like what's good for you and what
you know can change the game and all these different things.
And so it really got in there, and I'm like,
you know what to make some changes, changes, big changes,
And so I started, you know, eating better and eating
cleaner and changing portion size everything. Like you guys don't
(12:30):
realize what I'm doing at home. I don't. I don't
talk about it though, because I mean it's just I've
changed everything, and I don't guess you have a notice.
I've lost ten pounds. Yes, just from changing your diet.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Is crazy. I'm not there yet, okay. And again this
has nothing really to do with how I look, because
I don't care at this point. More is just like
I don't want to die. He's trying to not die. Sure, sure.
Uh and so I'm just like, all right, So I'm
eating a lot cleaner now, and I'm eating a lot
(13:07):
of protein and a lot.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Of fiber, which I learned protein protein in my home.
And the fiber is good for the colon.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
That's great, the colon. Got to clean yourself up, got
to clean it up.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
It Also, fiber makes you feel more full, so you
won't eat as much boom wow.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Protein important in the calorie deficits. You need to protein
keep your muscles.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Sure, that's why.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
That's why weightlifters do busterwatch protein.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Yes, yeah, so yeah, No, I mean I'm not the
fucking rock over here who is eating twenty five eggs
a morning. Well, I'm not trying to gain weight, you know,
I mean it is what it is. Uh So one
of the big changes I made was what I eat
here in the morning. Yes, I'm all over the place
with my breakfast in the morning where I all eat leftovers.
(13:50):
It could be lasagna in here if I made lasagna
the night before, fucking chicken fried rice. I don't give
a ship. Sure, yeah, and then and then if I
don't eat that, we'll go send Jamie out to get food.
And so you know, obviously part of that is taco
Bell Thursday. And so my big change is really I'm
eating overnight oats with chias seeds, which is great for
(14:14):
gut health. Loves the cheese I don't know that. I love.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
There's actually talking about.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
There's actually not any flavors to gees. You know, it's
just good for you. Sorts it. No, I don't do that.
And then of course the miracle berry, which is blueberry.
(14:41):
So and and that's what I eat. Well, I really
like it. I've actually really grown to really enjoy it,
just like you like your fart eggs, Emily.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
It happens, I'm telling you.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
And because you feel good after, you don't feel stuffed
or kind of like greasy or gross.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
And what we're saying about the fiber, the the oats
trick your body into thinking you're full, and you feel
good about it. And so I've been eating this what
I call my concoction. And I started out eating it
once a week, and I'm like, really enjoying it, and
I said, well, why am I just eating this once
a week? So then I'm up like twice a week.
(15:18):
And now I am to the point of where Monday, Wednesday,
Friday is when I eat it. I eat three times
a week now three times. And I'm also now at
the point where I think I could eat it every
day every day. I think I can eat it every
day day. And again, I don't want to burn myself out,
but I really like it. And there's other healthy breakfast
(15:39):
but I like this.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
No, no, but there's other stuff you could like I could.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
But I'm like, if I really like it and it's
good for me, why not why not eat it every day?
And I'm like, this is going to sound a little crazy,
maybe get a little cringey, But when I don't eat it,
I kind of miss it. I kind of miss it.
You miss I Just I'm like, funk, I'm not having
(16:04):
it today, Damn, close me up. I'm not kidding. It's weird.
And so my body, I think, is starting to crave
it and crave the good, healthy aspect of it, and
which is a good thing. And so I'm like, you
know what I might start up in this up to
every single day eating this thing.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Well wait a minute, though, Yeah, So.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I came in this morning with the realization of today's
taco bell Thursday, and it kind of grossed me out.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Like remember when you'd unwrap the burrito and then you'd
start kissing it. Yeah, you'd kiss it because.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Your body will crave unhealthy things if you're only eating
unhealthy things, and if you're eating healthy things, your body
starts to crave healthy things.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
That's not how it works.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
I think it is. Wow, And so my body is
now rejecting the idea of eating.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
This ship because it's a wonderland, wonder trying to.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Get there, trying to get there.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
And so I.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Had this like feeling and thought of like tac about Thursday.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Want that?
Speaker 3 (17:18):
I don't really want that, but it's like a decade
long term.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
It's kind of making me sad. I'm not gonna lie,
it's kind of making me sad, Like is.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
That why the show is so fucking successful? Because I mean, why.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Would that be? Why?
Speaker 2 (17:32):
You know why it's the fuel of the show.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
I don't think it is. I don't get.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
So.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
I had an immediate fear, an intense fear of letting
my partner and talk about Thursday. Know that this is
how I'm feeling. But I have to say it. I
tell you it's a good thing for her because I
don't want it. I'll be honest with you. I don't
want it. I don't want it anymore. I don't so,
(17:59):
I very sheepishly said, Sky, I kind of have to
talk to you about something.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Like I literally was, because you know me, I like
jumped to conclusions and makeup scenarios. I was thinking all
this like wild fucking.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Wait till you know the room was clear, Yeah, this
was going to be It was a yeah, I was
sorry a little bit. Yeah, I ever heard.
Speaker 5 (18:25):
I got something I gonna talk to about my God,
you know about my health journey that I'm on, And
in my head, I'm going, please don't bring up please
don't they're.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
They're amazing for you. I just I don't feel good
about Taco Bell Thursdays anymore.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
I don't even know this fucking man, don't even know
who this is.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
In fact, in fact, I'm kind of disgusted by it,
just like I don't want it. I don't want it, damn,
And so I don't know if I can continue eating
taco bell with you anymore.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Eddie just broke up with me.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
It was like a divorce. It was like a divorce.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Dump my ass and called me gross while dumping.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Yes, is the way I put you down?
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Put me down, put me down like you're discussed.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Hey, if you don't want to support my health.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Journey, I can support your health journey. You just don't
have to call me disgusting.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
You can support it. But guess what. I can't be
with somebody who is continuing in these horrible habits.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
So like I'm shooting the heroin or here or something.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
I don't know. Man, you're shooting up track. Let's right,
they're definitely So are you still going to get it
on Thursday? Sky? Where you get it? And like flawing
it in Eddie's face? Actually, I don't care because it
grosses me out. Wow, he just called you can have
it all you want you if you want to go
down that path, I can't be with you.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Maybe you and Jamie get it.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
It's your new partner, a new young or or if I.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Don't, if I don't go to the gym anytime.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
So maybe I you don't want to be you don't
want to be that. Yeah, come on.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Initially I was filled with rage and I'm like, get it.
I don't even fucking know this man anymore. He's just
dumped me. He's called me gross. Like there were so
many feelings, but I do feel that flying every which way.
And then I took a turn and I said, you
know what, maybe this is the universe trying to help me.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
I mean, I've been trying excuse me three months.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Can you shut up? Because yes, you guys are correct.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
My blood work it's bad. It's bad. It's not I mean,
it's awful.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
My doctor has used the term skinny fat person before,
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Whereas like whereas like a fat person, like I don't.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Look overweight, but if you look at my blood work
you would think I got issues?
Speaker 1 (20:56):
You know what I mean? Well, you eat like an idiot.
I'm sorry, okay?
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Can I've been through enough?
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Can you not?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
When she's down?
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Man?
Speaker 3 (21:06):
So I I tried to take the turn, and as
much rage and sadness and depression, it is crazy, bro,
We've been through so much together, and like here we
are and and I and I had a choice. Do
I go on a separate path from my life partner,
my work life partner, or do I support him and
try and join him on the path. And I said, well,
(21:30):
this is the universe trying to tell me something I'm
not saying. I'll never eat Taco Bell, And there may
be a random Thursday where we get a wild hair.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
It could be a Monday. We're not We're not beholden
