Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, obviously Thor very excited that his New York Knicks
are NBA World champions due it's still it's real, right.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
It's insane like the Nicks. The only thing I could
say is, I'm not a Jets fan. If the Jets
won a Super Bowl this, that would be the only
thing crazier than this. Two Like, I'd be like, I'd
be so excited for my buddy, but I'd be like,
just I wouldn't believe it.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
I'd be like, what world do we like? That's how
I feel over now.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
It's it's pretty insane. So he was on cloud nine.
Guy was very happy over the weekend, but I guess
his father in law wanted to knock him down a
few pegs. We ain't done yet. It's time for the
one podcast over a.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Year, completely uncensored and uncting filtered except for that part.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
The show's after show starts.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Now, I would maybe understand this if THORA was being
obnoxious about this, but I don't think he was. I
think he was more stunned that they won the championship
and you know, trying to like wrap his mind around
it then like bragging about it. So I don't think
you were doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
No, I've been I've grown since the last championship. The
New York Giants won the championship twenty eleven. That was
the last time in New York. I think I was
braggadotaking about it in cocky in two thousand and seven
to one when they beat the Patriots the first time.
That was like very cocky because people out here hated
the Giants because of Eli, which I understood.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
But I also was new to San Diego.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I was new.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I was a hardcore Giant fan like I am. So
I was very But I've grown. I've grown now.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I just I just appre after going fifteen years without
a title, I appreciate it and more, and I care
more about just the fact that I get to live it.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I don't care about the other stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Wow, I was thinking about you than I don't like
you deserve a ring.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
If you were in New York for the final game
and you it was in Sanoni.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Oh okay, But I was crazy.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
I saw like I went for the last Giants two
Super Bowls. I went home to watch the game New York.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
So if you were in New York and you were
out in the streets, what would thor in twenty twenty six,
look like out in the street, are you climbing things?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Are you setting fires? Or are you just is your
shirt up? And yeah, yeah, and I would have the
shirt off. I was swinging around. I'd be going crazy.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
My buddy who lives in Long Island where I grew up,
was telling me that where I grew up in that area,
they were lighting fireworks out in the neighborhood and it
was it was like midnight, one am out there, so
they were lighting fireworks. I would have been outside going
crazy at this age. Now, I like to go do stuff.
Like I went to the Giants playoff game a few
years ago. I would have went to a watch party

(02:52):
in the city.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Oh yeah, city, because basketball is different.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I love the Knicks, but with the Giants, I'm I
believe I'm a New York guy, hard on you. I'm
gonna watch that with like my dad and like that's
really it the nixt I'd like to go to a
watch party.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Well, if I was in Long Island and at ten
oh one, oh, fireworks and people yelling but just want
a championship.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
He's calling your own medicine. But the Knicks just want
to chance.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Do you think the cops are so hyped too that
they just hang up on you because they're not.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
They're not gonna come to say anything. Excuse me, sir, Yeah,
the cops.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
One. So obviously, dude's excited. Obviously, he's very happy that
the Knicks won a championship. But apparently his father in
law was was not a fan well after it.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
So I said this after Game four when they had
that insane twenty nine point comeback, he he texted me,
this is crazy, blah blah blah. And then I'm on
like cloud and I cannot they just we just put
just the greatest comeback in the NBA Finals history. And
he texted me and says, this game is going a
minimum of this series is going to a minimum of six,

(04:02):
basically saying he thinks the Spurs are going to win
the next two games.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
And it's gonna go seven. And I'm like, I'm like,
that's great, but why would you tell me that right now? Yeah,
I'm on cloud nine. I'm losing it. And after the
time in my life and he's my father. Love is great.
My brother in laws, my father and mother are awesome.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
They're big sports fans, and but they're not sports fans
and my teams they're Warriors fans.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
They're nine ers.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
The basketball guy, he's theah, they're Warrior fans. So he's
seen his team w five rings in the last decade,
you know. But and I just and I'm just like, huh,
that's one thing.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
If you guys are having a conversation about the series,
how do you think it's gonna go? But yeah, to
just love that at your right you're saying.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
They're gonna lose the next two like a sniper attack.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
It is.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah, So I'm like, all right, whatever, you know. So
then yesterday, I'm still basking in it. I mean the
fact that the Knicks are on the Today Show and
the Good Morning America all morning.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
It's crazy. They're everywhere. Yeah, Jalen Brunt is on the
view right now. I just saw Yeah, Hot Ones. I'm
sure that's coming. Enjoyed Bear.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
About the war and Iran.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
That is so red. I get the Today Show.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
With like.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Goldberg, she was a coach that movie, Eddie, that's true. Wow,
coach the next Soure.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
So why did I see that movie? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
That's so. So he's on that show. So I'm I'm
soaking it in. Last night, I'm watching all the videos
and all of a sudden, I get a d M
and I've checked my d ms. A lot of people
were most people were super cool.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Hey man, I thought about you. Congrats. I'm like, oh,
I appreciate it, you know.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
And I I, uh, I see a DM and it
says Greg DMU, which is weird because.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
We were texting. But it's a it's a meme okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
And it says crazy but true, and it's a it's
a picture of New York sky Line and Steph Curry.
So I click on it and it says Steph Curry
hasn't lost a game in New York in four thousand days.
And he says, I gotta calm you down with this
fun fact.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
So you're having too much fun. You're enjoying this too much.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
So my father in law DM me and says, I
gotta calm you down with this fact. And it's a
fact that Steph Curry like never loses to the Knicks.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
That's interesting because he's a warrior. So I'm like, what's
the point of that, bring you down?

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Why you gotta calm you down? Load the Knicks.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I've never seen this team when a title in my lifetime,
they were the joke of the NBA. It would be
like the Marlins of Theme Won World.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
It'd be like, I don't know, or like.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
The Pirates, because at least the Padres spent money, like
it seemed like the Pirates, who don't spend.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Money brown losers, because.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Not only do the Knicks have were losers, they have
the owner is a p o. Nobody likes James Dolan
and and and like the fact that people would say
for twenty thirty years, as long as he owns the team,
they're never going to win, and we really believed that.
So it's crazy, right, So I'm just like, why would he? Oh,
I'm just having the time of my life. I'm watching
I'm watching videos of like people asking people, would you

(07:18):
let your girlfriend hook up with? Would you would you
let Jaalen brought the hook up your girlfriend and everyone's
saying yes, and it's.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
The funniest videos ever. And then he says this, so
that I'm like, so I take a pause, Oh, deep breath,
I take because he's my father in law.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, I like, but are you irritated a little bit?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Well, it's the second shot the second shot shot three days.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, so I write back.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I wonder if he thought of that while he was
watching the Knicks win the finals.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Okay, so a little jab yeah but not crazy. Yeah
but not crazy, Yeah, but not crazy.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
I want to know the first five renditions of what
he wanted to say.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, deal, though I can't say much because Steph Kurry
and the Warriors they're winners. They're winners and they've won
of five titlest so like he's not this year though,
he doesn't got me this year.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
So I felt like that was a.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Good like yeah, I mean, but it's weird giving it
to my father in law.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah, well, well that was That's always my seeing when
the Niners are not good, I'm for you're fan is
I can always go to how many rings we have?

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yeah? I always the Yankees.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah that's what. Yeah, So I always throw that in
people's face and you can't really come back to that.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Unless you're hatriots.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Right with the Yankees, we have one title we in
seventeen years, so it's weird, but I always go back to, you.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Know, we've twenty seven, Yeah, we've seventy years. A long
time of the yngers. Okay, don't still be cocky about
the Okay, sorry if you're a Yankee fan, that's kind
of in the DNA.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
But so I said that, and then and then I
I'm like, he said, come on, it's funny. And I
was like, Oh, don't really think it's fine, because he'll
if he thinks something funny, he'll say I legitimately l
O L yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Do an LM like laugh.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yes, that's when he really thinks it's funny.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
I am a big But so then that made me think,
like I've matured, and I said to my I said
to my wife, I'm like, if your Niners won the
super Bowl, because they haven't in a long time, so
I'm assuming I don't mean that as a shot.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
They just haven't.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
So if I didn't mean as a shot, but you
appreciate it way more because you haven't won such a
long time, I wouldn't say something like that at this point.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
I would congrat.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
You, absolutely, absolutely could absolutely so you would do it,
and you would be trying to be funny about it.
If I'm happy I win the World the Championship and
I'm non cloud nine, you would say congratulations first, and
then you if for some reason the Giants beat the
forty nine ers in that season. You would go, at

(10:04):
least we beat you this season, so that does that
make us the world champions? You'd say something like that.
You'd say something like that, and then I look at
my phone and be.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Like, and then this guy five to ten years ago,
ten years ago, you're talking.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
I'm thirty nine, big.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Dad guy, ask me.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
I wouldn't do it. I I want after watching the
next one, I want your Padres to win a World Series. Really,
I do whatever high with down, you have to bring it.
Here's why you You.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Love to do that, because you do you guys do
get you guys, and only gets a little hype over
over overas over.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
I mean I'm a Padrit fan.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Yeah, but you know Athough.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Hey, hey Toddy's on a little bit of hot streak here.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Yeah, but he's only Batten two and I'm like, what
the fuck?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
What the fuck?

Speaker 3 (10:58):
What has happened? You win the World Series?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
I will you'll be cool about it.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Couldn't be cool because you're so right
