crazy my life has been recently with baseball and how
much is going on. It's been a lot. We were
still in our Tournament of Champions and then I decided
to take the All Star team and my son's playing
All Stars and all that stuff has been going on.
So it's it's like baseball every single day, and so
it's been a lot. It's been a lot. Well, I

in our Tournament of Champions and how I'm supposed to
get trophies for the kids who didn't win. What we

Yeah, I actually was going through I don't know, it
was like a year ago or so. All my old
trophies and ribbons and stuff and the amount of participation
ribbons I had from swim meets because I did swimming
for a couple of years. Wasn't wasn't that good breaststroke,
I'd win an actual ribbon. The rest of the strokes
all participation ribbons, and and I was like, kept the

I can let the participation.

Yes, so it's just my son played soccer for a
little while when he was younger, and at the end
of the season, there wasn't really a champion, you know,
they just had the season, and so all of them
got like medals, and so I let him keep that.
You know, Okay, you get a metal cool you played
in a soccer season. Who fucking cares? But uh, he wasn't.

There wasn't like a champ, so it doesn't matter, like, Okay,
there's your soccer medal. Congratulations. I don't know, but I've
been coaching the little league for ten years. It's a
lot on time, and so over my span of coaching
Little League, I have won the championship three times. So

it's pretty cool. I mean, it's hard to do. Anytime
you win something like that, it's it's not easy to do.
And so obviously super proud of that and super think
it's really cool. And so every single time I've won
the championship, I personally have purchased my team championship trophies.

A way, no, if you give them anything, you take
care of it. Usually though the last parents say chip
in blah blah blah blah blah. Yeah, but I don't care.

to the semi finals. We had to win or we
were gonna go home. And so it was again I

you guys got it. You guys got to pull it off. Yeah,
unfortunately we did not. Oh man, we did not show
up that day. No bat. We were like the padres man.
We had no bats. It was so frustrating to watch.
We'd load the bases and then get out, you know,
ship like that. So It was a tough way to
go out, but you know, we had a nice little

run at the end there. So we ended up finishing
in third place, you know, which is not again, not
how I want the season end, not the goal, but
we had a nice little run. It was a good season.
You know, we did better than how we were doing
in the regular season. Regular season. We had a lot
of fails, but we learned from them. We showed up
when it mattered. We gave a good run. Didn't work out,

is what it is, no big deal. And so that's
sort of the message the team. All Right, you know,
great job, great try. You know what, we'll get him
next time sort of thing. Okay, yeah, all right, So
I got a text I want to say. A couple
of weeks ago, while the tournament was going on, we
had a big win. We beat a team that we

probably weren't good, favored to beat, you know that we
probably shouldn't have beat, but we beat them. Yeah, they
definitely did it. They had us as an underdog. So
we had a nice big win to advance in the tournament. Awesome.
Everybody's hyped. The whole family's all right, but it's hyped.
Was crazy and So I get a text from the
team mom and tea Mom says, you know, this team

is so awesome, it's so great. We can't believe we won. Yeah,
you know, should we get them a championship rings? And
I'm like whoa, Like, wait a second, I go hold off.
I go, First of all, we're in the tournament. We
still we still got to win three games to get
to the championship and we haven'ty won the chance.

But everyone should get a ribbon.

But I'm like, wait a minute, Like we're not even
at the end of the season yet. So I go,
hold on, hold off on all that talk. I go,
if we win the championship, I'll take care of it.

I'll even order it, like you said, you always do.
I have, I have a company that I use. I
don't worry about it. I know your team mom. I

a big promotion, think about what I remember what coach said,

And so I'm I'm very confused by that championship rings.
We didn't win the championship, and I think we're again
we're in this culture of like, well, they deserve something.
They worked so hard and they did great job, and
you know what, we had a great season, and you
know it's gonna rings. And I'm like, no, no, I

might not be as harsh as Thor, but I agree
with what he's saying is that we're not giving everybody
just because we showed up. We didn't win it, we
didn't reach our goal. We're not gonna get rewarded. That's
just life, pal, that's the way it works.

You know, it's funny put this in life perspective.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Right here we go. This is what I'm talking.

We get a ratings, we get a ratings bonus, right,
you do if we don't. If we don't have ratings
that are a certain way.

The company is just gonna give us something.

Hey, I didn't hit my bonus, but we showed up
every really hard.

And you know who's not thinking this way? The kids.
They don't care. They don't care, Like I'm almost in
tears over here over our loss and they're just dicking around.

The beach doing bonfire.

Not stop anyway. I now say to the team mom,
I said no, no, I go we didn't win the championship.
If we did, I absolutely would have got them something,

but since we did win it, I'm not really even
sure what that would be. Okay, And so I'm like, okay,
you know, let's have a you know, I guess a
conversation about this. Well, that must have not gone over
well because I yet to hear a response. She don't
like it.

I don't know if this person is probably given third
place ribbons, so she doesn't know.

How to take for jection.

No, so we got a sky over.

I just don't so, I don't know really, that's part
very comfortable. Maybe maybe you all get them all like
cookies or something.

That's not gonna nobody wants this. So no, no championship
