plate reader cameras are in the news.

We're going to talk about that here in just a minute.

Also, my friend ardel Quato, who is the former vice
president of the Border Patrol Union. He now works with
Federation of Americans from a gration reform. He's going to
join us in just a few minutes. Our two today
SBO three, we're going to talk about that. He goes
into effect officially on August first. But really that's kind

of a misconception. I'll explain what I mean by that
and how misguided that piece of legislation is also in
the second hour, why and it's tied to that, Why
I moved out of Colorado to Wyoming.

So we'll get into all of that stuff today and

Conway anyway, check this out. So these flock cameras, I'm
not a fan. I know they make people safer. I
know they're working, and I know Colorado is deploying them.

I've gotten you know, it's interesting how many.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I got a ticket one time on the express lane
between Colorado Springs and Denver.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
And here's what happened.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Because you know, there's the law that you have to
you have to slow down by twenty miles an hour
or get over if there's an emergency vehicle or a
vehicle with caution line on the shoulder, you have to
not be in that next lane or you have to
slow way down. And I was driving on that express
lane and usually you're frustrated because you're behind. Like a
blue haired, nose ringed coexists bumper sticker Subaru that in

Colorado makes it their life's purpose to go five miles
below the speed limit in the left lane or the
express lane. If you noticed that, it's like Super Ru's
like when you buy a Subaru, they make you sign
an agreement that says you have to drive five miles
below the speed limit in any express lane or any
far left lane on any interstate.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
That's just how it works, that's what they do.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I honestly think that these offls, these affluent white female liberals,
I think they actually buy the Super U and then
they actually believe they're saving the planet by making everybody
in the express lane drive five miles under the speed limit.
So I'm driving in the express lane and I'm up
ahead of me. I see a state trooper, a tow truck,

and a car that is disabled on the side of
the road, and the tow truck is in the express.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Lane, which means I have a choice.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I can either break the law and cross the white
line and get into the far left lane that's not
the express lane to go around them, or I can
just stop and go nowhere because they're in the middle
of the road. And I figure, well, okay, there's an
exception here to the rule for safety because I'm doing
(03:29):
what the state law says. The state law says either, well,
I can't slow down because I can't get around them.
I have to cross the white lines to do what
the law says.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
So I did. I got two tickets.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
I got one ticket for going over the white lane
to get out or the white line to get out
of the express lane, and then I got another ticket
to go back into the express lane, and they wouldn't
let me challenge it.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
I'm like, oh my god.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Anyway, the same type of cameras are what's doing these
flock cameras. And there's this story today out of Roseville, California.
Seventy one percent of the automated alerts that were sent
to police officers from twenty three to twenty four were errant.
They were wrong, so the AI wasn't getting it right.
(04:15):
So we're being tracked nationwide. And what's really interesting about
this argument and how it's developed very quickly.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
It's gone viral over the last few weeks.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
And I've watched this because I was on the air
in San Diego at the time. I'm now in the
air in Louisville, Kentucky, in my home state. But at
the time, there was this huge debate in California, and
it was coming from the left, because what had happened
was all of the leaders on the left were very,
(04:42):
very concerned when they realized these flock cameras were tracking
license plates, and.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
They were like, I don't know, but it might be
shared with Ice.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
So all of a sudden, they were concerned about the
privacy of illegal immigrants. They were not concerned at all
about the privacy of their own citizens, their own constituents,
the one who's the ones who supposedly elected them. They
were worried about the privacy of illege limmerets. What was
interesting about that is somewhere along the way, the right
kind of got into this and they were like, wait
a minute, now, by god, I don't care about the
Ice thing, but by god, that actually makes sense. They
(05:12):
are tracking us everywhere. We should get upset about this.
And so over the last few weeks there's been viral
instances of people destroying these cameras, of people trying to
disable these cameras. And it's a non partisan fight, right,
Like it's a non partisan thing whether you're right or left.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Some people on the right.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
And the left love these things because they make us safer,
and some people on the right and left hate these
things because they indicate that the government can basically have
a Skynet surveillance operation in effect, anytime they want to.
And all I have to do is point back to
the twenty ten era and the Tea Party, which I
was deeply involved in and many of my friends who
(05:51):
were audited by the IRS after the Tea Party won
the House in twenty ten, and President Obama was like, WHOA,
I don't want to know.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
I can't. I need to get re elected.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I'm going to use the IRS to go after these
people and scare the crap out of them so that
they will not be organized anymore. And we'll just decimate
that whole fundraising operation. And that's exactly what they did,
the lowest learner hearings, all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
So the government uses the tools that it has.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
And if we give them this tool, imagine if they
had had flock cameras widespread and had.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Been able to abuse them.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I mean, they were starting to come online during the pandemic,
but boy, you could use them in a future pandemic
and it would be crazy. So that debate is ongoing.
We'll dive into that a little bit more later. But
speaking of the immigration angle on this, and I just
find it funny that that's where that debate started and
then it went viral and now it's nonpartisan.

I find that fascinating.

But speaking of the immigration element of this, my friend
Art del Cuato again, longtime Border Patrol agent, vice president
for a long time of the Border Patrol Union.

of misinformation about what's going on with these ice raids
across the country. Colorado was deeply affected by President Potato's
effort to sway elections by bringing in literally millions of
people from all over the world and then shipping them
to certain areas in order to ensure Democrat victory either

through the census process or mail in balloting, which needs
to change, and we need the Save Act like immediately.

But part of the pro.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Saysys we also have to deport a lot of people,
and people get real finicky about that because of how
badly the Left has mangled the language surrounding the border
control issue, and it becomes a situation where if you're
like me, and you're very pro immigration, but you're also
very pro strong borders, you can't have a serious adult conversation.
One guy that wants to have that adult conversation is

Art del Cuato. He's the former vice president of the
Border Patrol Union. He now works with Federation of Americans
for Immigration Reform. He is a second generation American child
of immigrants and has spent his life on the border
with Mexico in Arizona, dealing with the humanitarian crisis, saving
lives and patriotically protecting our border.

Good ma man, how are you man? Thanks true for
having me on. It's always a.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Pleasure, yes, indeed, and one of the reasons I wanted
to have you on is. I am hearing more and
more discussion in the mainstream media about eliminating ice with
candidates that are running newwide that are part of this
weird block of the left that is currently running the
Democrat Party. I'm not trying to get partisan on you,
but I mean it's something that's happening that we're struggling with.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
I mean, even even Senator Kelly.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
From Arizona, who is as left as it gets a
voice the other day on CNN is concern about things
like platforms that would eliminate ice. If we were to
eliminate ice art, if we were to just get rid
of it, what would happen the next day?
Speaker 6 (09:34):
Well, so this is a problem more than what would happen.
They don't want to just get rid of ice.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
That's what people need to understand.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
They don't want ice, they don't want border patrol, they
don't want the.
Speaker 5 (09:45):
Custom side of the house.
Speaker 6 (09:47):
They want to completely eliminate our borders. That's what they
want to do. It's I mean, they use ice because.
Speaker 5 (09:53):
They don't know any better. So you know better, you.
Speaker 7 (09:56):
Know the difference between the three entities.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
But you always pick up a newspaper.
Speaker 7 (10:00):
People will say ice and then they'll show a picture of.

A border patrol Asia, or they'll say, you know, border patrol,
they'll show I mean, they don't get it, and these
politicians don't get it either. So what would happen is
they would come after the rest of the entities and.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Say, we just didn't want ice. We want the rest
of them.
Speaker 7 (10:16):
Were seeing the video and the.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
Pictures of what's happening on the other side of the
world in Spain, We're seeing.
Speaker 7 (10:25):
The groups from across and people are they're freaking out
and they're saying, oh, this is horrible. Look, come back.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Look, if you take it back to the last administration.
Speaker 7 (10:34):
It was very, very similar to that on our southern
border when you were seeing people come.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Through that fence, it was extremely similar.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
So don't sit here in act surprise and say it's
horrible over there when you know we were living that
just years ago here in the United States.
Speaker 7 (10:53):
So the problem isn't just.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Ice for them. They want to get rid of all.
They want open board is there?
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Okay?

So we have these incidences like the main there was
a shooting in Maine, there was a shooting in Houston.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
In both of those cases, the report is.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
That the individuals were trying to drive over the ice agents.
Where does the responsibility lie? Because here's what bothers me
about this. There is so much disinformation in the media
about what is happening with these raids.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
But the.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Picture that is being painted by radicals in the media
is that you guys are going door to door, grabbing
people out of their beds, grabbing people out of their churches,
grabbing people out of their houses, grabbing people out of
the schools. And then you're just randomly pulling people over.
Yeah no, but I know that's not really what's happening.
(11:58):
So can you describe for people what the actual like,
what is actually happening and why they've got you so wrong.
Speaker 6 (12:07):
They like to use the word kidnapping because it catches
the media's attention. They're kidnapping, they're the bad guys. Right, Well,
when you kidnap somebody, you don't send them home. That's
first off, right, that's kidnappers aren't going to.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Take you to take you home.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
But the reality is it is targeted enforcement. It's people
that they're going after because they're on a you know,
a higher criminal level than just those that committed the
crime by entering legally or overstate, which also happens to
be a crime.
Speaker 7 (12:36):
Okay, And then once they enter these areas, there's a there,
they're surrounded by a lot of other individuals there that are.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
Also here illegally.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
You can't just not arrest them as well.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
So that's why you.
Speaker 7 (12:49):
Know, you see other people that get arrested and they say, well, you.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
Know that's that's the bigger Uh.
Speaker 7 (12:53):
Those guys don't have a criminal record.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
It's similar to going into it.
Speaker 6 (12:56):
And I hate using this comparison and I know I'm
going to get attacked for this one, but it's similar
to going into a drug house and you find the
drug dealer.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Right, that's who you're going after.
Speaker 6 (13:06):
But if there's people in that house that are using drugs,
you have to arrest them as well. If there's children
in that house, when you're arresting the drug dealer and
the drug users, you have.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
To take the children away from these people because they're
bad people. So now you have that separation of the
children from these people.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
Right. So that's what's.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
Like realistically, that's what's happening. But again, like I said,
there's people.

In the media, there's politicians, people with a LOWD microphone.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
They want to twist the story around and say.

They're separating kids. They're arresting people with no criminals. So
that's why you're seeing that.

But the reality is it's targeted enforcement.

But there's others there that have also committed the crime
of being here illegally. Now, when you look at the shootings.
Speaker 7 (13:54):
You're right, look, hey, they've been run after the agents
who are in the front of the vehicle, or they
felt their.
Speaker 5 (14:00):
Life was in danger.
Speaker 7 (14:02):
When you look at the Houston shooting, Okay, this is
the prime example.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
What you see in the media.
Speaker 6 (14:09):
Is he wasn't the person they were going after. That's
that's what you're continuously hear.
Speaker 7 (14:14):
He wasn't even the pro But that person, though he
wasn't the one they were going after, chose to not stop,
chose to evade arrest, chose to almost run over and
kill an ag. It doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
That he wasn't the one they were going after.
Speaker 7 (14:31):
At that point, he tried to take away the life
of an agent.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
That's what people need to realize.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
If I if there's a robbery of a bank and
I fit the description of the robber, and I happened
to be running away from the front door of the
bank at the same time.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
And the police takes me down.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Right, I'm gonna get arrested because I'm in the vicinity.
I match the description, and I'm acting highly suspicious, right,
I mean, and then if I realize the rest, I've
got a whole nother problem on my hands, you know.
And and that's I think, that's that's what really drives
me nuts about the narratives that are around this because

we can't you know, I know, you're a you're a
you're a well balanced mind, and you've seen the human
side of this.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
And and and all of that so many years.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
You guys that work in this sector are not heartless people.
You're not wanting to hurt people. You don't want to
to to separate people from their families.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
You've seen the human side of this.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
But we can't have an adult conversation about immigration if
we can't get the eleven million people who were flooded
in here as part of a political trick out of
the country, because we have to kind of start over
with this and if that's painful. Unfortunately, and and people
don't seem to understand that, no.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
You're absolutely right. Look, I just testified before Congress. Jasmine
Crockett was one of the congresswomen there. You did not
ask or direct any question. She didn't ask me or
direct any questions towards me whatsoever.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
Okay, she made her statement and whatever. But alongside of what.
Speaker 7 (16:07):
You're saying, it's very difficult to have an adult conversation
about the issue when.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
You continuously bring up, oh, it's racist, it's racist, it's racist.
During the Biden administration, we had individuals that entered the
country legally from one hundred and sixty eight different countries.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
Okay, people need to realize that it has nothing to.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
Do with race.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
Stop mixing the word illegal alien with immigrants. I'm not
against immigrants. We are not against immigrants. We are against
illegal aliens entering the country.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
We're against, obviously, what we.

Were seeing in Spain that we saw in the United
States several years ago, an invasion of individuals that don't
care about the country. They're leaving their country, but their
allegiance is still towards their country, and people need to
realize that. They need to up mixing the words.

And you're right, we can have an adult conversation.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
If you know, you continuously use these types of words,
and it's because you're losing the argument. Look, I'm Hispanic,
I'm legally in the United States. My heritage is from
Spain and from Mexico. I have family that's still you know,
in both countries. But my allegiance is to one country
and that's the United States. It's the country that has
(17:25):
given me everything, and people need to understand that.

I want to I want to dive into that just
for a minute, because this is really, really, really important
what you just said, and we talk about and we're
talking with our del Quato. He's a former vice president
of the National Board of Patrol Union and now with
Federation of Americans immigration reform. One of the words the
first victims of wokeness in the media was that word
(17:50):
illegal immigrant or illegal alien. And I remember when there
was a huge concerted campaign to change the term. They
changed it to an illegal immigrant from illegal alien, and
then they changed it to undocumented immigrant, and then they
dropped undocumented.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
And that is to point that out is.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Super important because that conversation that changed everything in the conversation,
and it was on purpose, because it is to create
this sense that anyone who is for a secure border
is now anti immigrant.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
They did this on purpose. This is what they do
in every one of our.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Major political issues. They divide people into two silos, and
there's no middle ground, and you can't allow for middle ground,
therefore you.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Can't allow for discussion.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
So what you end up with is dehumanizing of our
political enemies.

Well you're just a wide open borders or you're just
a racist.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
Right.

conversation as adults about immigration, mate, because they've successfully divided
us into two camps. One camp is abolish ice, all
of it, wide open borders, complete nonsense, and then the

other is, oh, well you're a racist if you disagree
with us, which is ridiculous. And you can have a
conversation about my tattoo artist from South Africa who's been
here for seven years and he still can't get beyond
just a basic green guard.

But he's doing everything legally.

And he said to me one time, he was like, look,
I think I'm going to go into Mexico and then
come back across illegally because it's the only way I
can actually get any real opportunity here.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
It's ridiculous.

So how do we have that conversation, Continuing our discussion
with my friend Ard del Quato, who is the former
vice president of the National Border Patrol Union now a
Federation of Americans for Immigration and Reform, how do we
get back to having a conversation about immigration versus illegal aliens.
How do we get back to that place where I
think most Americans reside, right, Like, most Americans realize what
(20:12):
happened during President Potato's administration was wrong, right, that was
not Everybody was upset about that. Even President Potato had
to make adjustments at the end because people were so
outraged by it. I mean, I remember being on the
air in San Diego at the time, and we had
these panga boats that were crashing out in the ocean
and people were dying, and people were filming some of
(20:33):
these boats coming ashore, and then people just disappearing into
the neighborhoods and they were like, what the hell is
going on? You know, So, how do we get back
to a conversation where we can have a serious conversation
where kind of both sides agree, yeah, the border should
be secure, but maybe maybe there's more of a discussion
and a debate around who do we let in, how
do we how many do we let in? What are
(20:54):
the parameters of being let in?
Speaker 3 (20:55):
What are the rules of becoming a citizen?
Speaker 2 (20:57):
And how do we get where My tattoo artist who's
an immigrant friend from South Africa who's been waiting seven
years having done it legally to become an American, all
he wants to do is just be an American?
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Like, how do we get that to be faster?
Speaker 6 (21:12):
I think we do it this way by promoting education,
by talking to people, by having real conversations.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Like you and I are having now, and having.
Speaker 7 (21:21):
People share this.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
You know, they have to share what they see. That
makes sense. That's the only way we're going to do it.
I think, Look, the radicals have.
Speaker 7 (21:30):
Done a great job. I got to give them credit.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
They've done a great job at.
Speaker 6 (21:34):
A grass roots way of spreading false propaganda, false narratives,
and we have to start taking that same grassroots, you know,
a way of spreading the truth and telling people, hey,
this is how it really is, and show them facts.
I mean, it's it's it's a lot of work. It's

a lot of work. But if we just continuously sit
and have conversation in our eco chamber, we're not going
to move that needle.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
I tell people all the time.
Speaker 6 (22:05):
Look, it's great to have people cheer you on and
be happy and everything, but you know you're not moving
the needle. When I first started doing bargaining with as
a border patrol agent and I was on the bargaining side,
I set up a meeting with five different groups that
hated me. I mean they absolutely hated me.
Speaker 7 (22:25):
It was the no More death camps.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
The you know hands across the border, the.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
Chicano cause, all those I sat and had a conversation
and at the end of the day, I'm gonna be
honest with you, still hated me.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
They did, but I.
Speaker 6 (22:42):
Changed the minds of ten percent. And you have to
continuously try to plant that seeds. We're not moving any
needles by by.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Screaming in our eco chamber. We need to get out,
we need to share, We need to make, you know, have.
Speaker 6 (22:56):
Conversations that make sense and start pushing the real narrative
and take away that message from people that are just brainwashing,
especially the youth of America.

On the Devil's Advocate side.

With some of these incidences with border patrol and with
ice in particular, not border patrol ice in particular, there's
been some discussion about are they are we putting guys
out that haven't had enough training, and like there were
no video cameras, no body cams I think in the
main situation. I can't remember if there was in the
Houston insituation. So why have we not protected our agents
(23:34):
by giving them body cams and getting those out there
fast enough?

but also just making sure they've got the protection of
a body camera that gives us that other angle because
you have so many people that are agitating these incidences,
they're showing up with cameras on purpose, and then we're
getting selective angles which the media then runs with.

So look, you make a great point when you talk
about the selective angle, and I always use the sports
you know, analogy. You look at sports teams and you know,
safe at home, safe for whatever it is, right, they
have fifty different cameras, fifty different angles, tons of technology,
zoom in, zoom out, I mean, just.

So much, and they still get it wrong. So I'm
I understand that.

The body camera, it would help, but now you're using
one angle. You know, it's obviously not the cameras the
MLB is using.

Life and death decisions, So even that is.

I believe CDP has the cameras, but when they get deployed,
I'm not sure how those deployments are because remember you
have to.

Have these big chargers for these big cameras.

Issues there, I think, equipment wise. When it comes to
the training, I mean, the training what it comes down
to is, and it's because of the laws and the policies,
each agent has to have a certain amount of hours
of training on the camera use.

The show, and it's like, dude, you just turn it
on the button and turn it off.

No, that's not how it works. These cameras. Once you
turn them on, it records.

The previous two minutes before you turned it on.

People need to know that. But that's without audio, and
if you.

Have incidents now you have to draw up policies of
when you're going to turn it on when you're not.
Do you turn it on for every stop because obviously
you're not going to turn it on and say, oh man,
I think I'm gonna.

Get into shooting. I guess I'll turn it on now.
When you're using these.

Cameras, when you get back to the stations, you have
to download what you had on the cameras for the day.
So there's a lot of other factors that grow in.
It's not just oh not just carry camera, turn it
on and just walk around all day with the camera.
And it doesn't work that way because it's downloading, you know,
the media file and at the same time the battery

is getting used. So there's so many factors.

of these situations.

body cameras out and people have made their decisions and everyone,
how do you get a jury.

have I have no knowledge of this case. How do
you do that?

right rules in place to make sure that the camera
footage isn't released too early. You know, we want transparency,
but also you got to protect the court process because
that's part of the system of justice.

highest podcasters highest paid podcasters of twenty six on Instagram,

and I was always all the way at the bottom
at twenty seven dollars and thirty seven cents.

Handler showed up in the comments section with a point
of question, who is paying Joe Rogan eighty two million?
She wrote, give that to our vets and to our
children eighty two million. To be completely uninformed and say
whoopsie doodle every time he's wrong, which is frequent.

So here's here's the reason why I bring this up.

If you want to know why the socialists are taking
over the Democrat Party, this is why. And this is
here's the connection. On the thread on this Chelsea Handler's
worth thirty five million. Most of us will never see
anywhere near that amount of money. Okay, So she lives
in this sort of world where the difference between her
lifestyle at thirty five million and Joe Rogan's lifestyle at

eighty two million really isn't that significant. It's still you
can have absolutely anything you want, anytime you want it.

So for her to decide that her thirty five million

in because of this envy politics, Right like you got

your thirty five million, which ninety nine point nine nine
nine nine nine nine nine percent of Americans will never
even be able to dream of, but you're upset because
this other guy has fifty more million than you, and
you're more virtuous than he is because you're a comedian

made more, and somehow you've determined that his more is unworthy,
but your more is worthy, while the rest of us
are trying to figure out how to pay for gas
every month.

into effect officially on August first. But really that's kind

of a misconception. I'll explain what I mean by that
and how misguided that piece of legislation is also in
the second hour, why and it's tied to that, Why
I moved out of Colorado to Wyoming.

not a fan. I know they make people safer. I
know they're working, and I know Colorado is deploying them.

I've gotten you know, it's interesting how many.

I got a ticket one time on the express lane
between Colorado Springs and Denver.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
And here's what happened.

Because you know, there's the law that you have to
you have to slow down by twenty miles an hour
or get over if there's an emergency vehicle or a
vehicle with caution line on the shoulder, you have to
not be in that next lane or you have to
slow way down. And I was driving on that express
lane and usually you're frustrated because you're behind. Like a
blue haired, nose ringed coexists bumper sticker Subaru that in

Colorado makes it their life's purpose to go five miles
below the speed limit in the left lane or the
express lane. If you noticed that, it's like Super Ru's
like when you buy a Subaru, they make you sign
an agreement that says you have to drive five miles
below the speed limit in any express lane or any
far left lane on any interstate.

That's just how it works, that's what they do.

I honestly think that these offls, these affluent white female liberals,
I think they actually buy the Super U and then
they actually believe they're saving the planet by making everybody
in the express lane drive five miles under the speed limit.
So I'm driving in the express lane and I'm up
ahead of me. I see a state trooper, a tow truck,

and a car that is disabled on the side of
the road, and the tow truck is in the express.

Lane, which means I have a choice.

I can either break the law and cross the white
line and get into the far left lane that's not
the express lane to go around them, or I can
just stop and go nowhere because they're in the middle
of the road. And I figure, well, okay, there's an
exception here to the rule for safety because I'm doing
(03:29):
what the state law says. The state law says either, well,
I can't slow down because I can't get around them.
I have to cross the white lines to do what
the law says.

So I did. I got two tickets.

I got one ticket for going over the white lane
to get out or the white line to get out
of the express lane, and then I got another ticket
to go back into the express lane, and they wouldn't
let me challenge it.

I'm like, oh my god.

Anyway, the same type of cameras are what's doing these
flock cameras. And there's this story today out of Roseville, California.
Seventy one percent of the automated alerts that were sent
to police officers from twenty three to twenty four were errant.
They were wrong, so the AI wasn't getting it right.

So we're being tracked nationwide. And what's really interesting about
this argument and how it's developed very quickly.

It's gone viral over the last few weeks.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
And I've watched this because I was on the air
in San Diego at the time. I'm now in the
air in Louisville, Kentucky, in my home state. But at
the time, there was this huge debate in California, and
it was coming from the left, because what had happened
was all of the leaders on the left were very,
(04:42):
very concerned when they realized these flock cameras were tracking
license plates, and.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
They were like, I don't know, but it might be
shared with Ice.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
So all of a sudden, they were concerned about the
privacy of illegal immigrants. They were not concerned at all
about the privacy of their own citizens, their own constituents,
the one who's the ones who supposedly elected them. They
were worried about the privacy of illege limmerets. What was
interesting about that is somewhere along the way, the right
kind of got into this and they were like, wait
a minute, now, by god, I don't care about the
Ice thing, but by god, that actually makes sense. They
(05:12):
are tracking us everywhere. We should get upset about this.
And so over the last few weeks there's been viral
instances of people destroying these cameras, of people trying to
disable these cameras. And it's a non partisan fight, right,
Like it's a non partisan thing whether you're right or left.

Some people on the right.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
And the left love these things because they make us safer,
and some people on the right and left hate these
things because they indicate that the government can basically have
a Skynet surveillance operation in effect, anytime they want to.
And all I have to do is point back to
the twenty ten era and the Tea Party, which I
was deeply involved in and many of my friends who

were audited by the IRS after the Tea Party won
the House in twenty ten, and President Obama was like, WHOA,
I don't want to know.

I can't. I need to get re elected.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I'm going to use the IRS to go after these
people and scare the crap out of them so that
they will not be organized anymore. And we'll just decimate
that whole fundraising operation. And that's exactly what they did,
the lowest learner hearings, all that kind of stuff.

So the government uses the tools that it has.

And if we give them this tool, imagine if they
had had flock cameras widespread and had.

Been able to abuse them.

I mean, they were starting to come online during the pandemic,
but boy, you could use them in a future pandemic
and it would be crazy. So that debate is ongoing.
We'll dive into that a little bit more later. But
speaking of the immigration angle on this, and I just
find it funny that that's where that debate started and
then it went viral and now it's nonpartisan.

but I mean it's something that's happening that we're struggling with.

I mean, even even Senator Kelly.

From Arizona, who is as left as it gets a
voice the other day on CNN is concern about things
like platforms that would eliminate ice. If we were to
eliminate ice art, if we were to just get rid
of it, what would happen the next day?

Well, so this is a problem more than what would happen.
They don't want to just get rid of ice.

That's what people need to understand.

They don't want ice, they don't want border patrol, they
don't want the.

Custom side of the house.

They want to completely eliminate our borders. That's what they
want to do. It's I mean, they use ice because.

They don't know any better. So you know better, you.

But you always pick up a newspaper.

People will say ice and then they'll show a picture of.

they would come after the rest of the entities and.

Say, we just didn't want ice. We want the rest

Were seeing the video and the.

Pictures of what's happening on the other side of the
world in Spain, We're seeing.

The groups from across and people are they're freaking out
and they're saying, oh, this is horrible. Look, come back.

Look, if you take it back to the last administration.

It was very, very similar to that on our southern
border when you were seeing people come.

Through that fence, it was extremely similar.

So don't sit here in act surprise and say it's
horrible over there when you know we were living that
just years ago here in the United States.

So the problem isn't just.

Ice for them. They want to get rid of all.
They want open board is there?

So we have these incidences like the main there was
a shooting in Maine, there was a shooting in Houston.

In both of those cases, the report is.

That the individuals were trying to drive over the ice agents.
Where does the responsibility lie? Because here's what bothers me
about this. There is so much disinformation in the media
about what is happening with these raids.

Picture that is being painted by radicals in the media
is that you guys are going door to door, grabbing
people out of their beds, grabbing people out of their churches,
grabbing people out of their houses, grabbing people out of
the schools. And then you're just randomly pulling people over.
Yeah no, but I know that's not really what's happening.

So can you describe for people what the actual like,
what is actually happening and why they've got you so wrong.

They like to use the word kidnapping because it catches
the media's attention. They're kidnapping, they're the bad guys. Right, Well,
when you kidnap somebody, you don't send them home. That's
first off, right, that's kidnappers aren't going to.

But the reality is it is targeted enforcement. It's people
that they're going after because they're on a you know,
a higher criminal level than just those that committed the

they're surrounded by a lot of other individuals there that are.

But if there's people in that house that are using drugs,
you have to arrest them as well. If there's children
in that house, when you're arresting the drug dealer and
the drug users, you have.

To take the children away from these people because they're
bad people. So now you have that separation of the
children from these people.

Right. So that's what's.

Like realistically, that's what's happening. But again, like I said,
there's people.

that's why you're seeing that.

You're right, look, hey, they've been run after the agents

Life was in danger.

When you look at the Houston shooting, Okay, this is
the prime example.

What you see in the media.

Is he wasn't the person they were going after. That's

He wasn't even the pro But that person, though he
wasn't the one they were going after, chose to not stop,
chose to evade arrest, chose to almost run over and
kill an ag. It doesn't matter.

That he wasn't the one they were going after.

At that point, he tried to take away the life
of an agent.

That's what people need to realize.

If I if there's a robbery of a bank and
I fit the description of the robber, and I happened
to be running away from the front door of the
bank at the same time.

And the police takes me down.

Right, I'm gonna get arrested because I'm in the vicinity.
I match the description, and I'm acting highly suspicious, right,
I mean, and then if I realize the rest, I've
got a whole nother problem on my hands, you know.
And and that's I think, that's that's what really drives
me nuts about the narratives that are around this because

we can't you know, I know, you're a you're a
you're a well balanced mind, and you've seen the human
side of this.

You guys that work in this sector are not heartless people.
You're not wanting to hurt people. You don't want to
to to separate people from their families.

But we can't have an adult conversation about immigration if
we can't get the eleven million people who were flooded
in here as part of a political trick out of
the country, because we have to kind of start over

Crockett was one of the congresswomen there. You did not
ask or direct any question. She didn't ask me or

You're saying, it's very difficult to have an adult conversation

and that's the United States. It's the country that has

given me everything, and people need to understand that.

for a minute, because this is really, really, really important
what you just said, and we talk about and we're
talking with our del Quato. He's a former vice president
of the National Board of Patrol Union and now with
Federation of Americans immigration reform. One of the words the
first victims of wokeness in the media was that word

illegal immigrant or illegal alien. And I remember when there
was a huge concerted campaign to change the term. They
changed it to an illegal immigrant from illegal alien, and
then they changed it to undocumented immigrant, and then they
dropped undocumented.

And that is to point that out is.

Super important because that conversation that changed everything in the conversation,
and it was on purpose, because it is to create
this sense that anyone who is for a secure border
is now anti immigrant.

Major political issues. They divide people into two silos, and
there's no middle ground, and you can't allow for middle ground,

come back across illegally because it's the only way I
can actually get any real opportunity here.

So how do we have that conversation, Continuing our discussion
with my friend Ard del Quato, who is the former
vice president of the National Border Patrol Union now a
Federation of Americans for Immigration and Reform, how do we
get back to having a conversation about immigration versus illegal aliens.
How do we get back to that place where I
think most Americans reside, right, Like, most Americans realize what
(20:12):
happened during President Potato's administration was wrong, right, that was
not Everybody was upset about that. Even President Potato had
to make adjustments at the end because people were so
outraged by it. I mean, I remember being on the
air in San Diego at the time, and we had
these panga boats that were crashing out in the ocean
and people were dying, and people were filming some of
(20:33):
these boats coming ashore, and then people just disappearing into
the neighborhoods and they were like, what the hell is
going on? You know, So, how do we get back
to a conversation where we can have a serious conversation
where kind of both sides agree, yeah, the border should
be secure, but maybe maybe there's more of a discussion
and a debate around who do we let in, how
do we how many do we let in? What are

the parameters of being let in?

What are the rules of becoming a citizen?

And how do we get where My tattoo artist who's
an immigrant friend from South Africa who's been waiting seven
years having done it legally to become an American, all
he wants to do is just be an American?

Like, how do we get that to be faster?
Speaker 6 (21:12):
I think we do it this way by promoting education,
by talking to people, by having real conversations.

Like you and I are having now, and having.

People share this.

You know, they have to share what they see. That
makes sense. That's the only way we're going to do it.
I think, Look, the radicals have.

Done a great job. I got to give them credit.

They've done a great job at.

A grass roots way of spreading false propaganda, false narratives,
and we have to start taking that same grassroots, you know,
a way of spreading the truth and telling people, hey,
this is how it really is, and show them facts.
I mean, it's it's it's a lot of work. It's

a lot of work. But if we just continuously sit
and have conversation in our eco chamber, we're not going
to move that needle.

I tell people all the time.

Look, it's great to have people cheer you on and
be happy and everything, but you know you're not moving
the needle. When I first started doing bargaining with as
a border patrol agent and I was on the bargaining side,
I set up a meeting with five different groups that
hated me. I mean they absolutely hated me.

It was the no More death camps.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
The you know hands across the border, the.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
Chicano cause, all those I sat and had a conversation
and at the end of the day, I'm gonna be
honest with you, still hated me.

They did, but I.

Changed the minds of ten percent. And you have to
continuously try to plant that seeds. We're not moving any
needles by by.

Screaming in our eco chamber. We need to get out,
we need to share, We need to make, you know, have.

Conversations that make sense and start pushing the real narrative
and take away that message from people that are just brainwashing,
especially the youth of America.

With some of these incidences with border patrol and with
ice in particular, not border patrol ice in particular, there's
been some discussion about are they are we putting guys
out that haven't had enough training, and like there were
no video cameras, no body cams I think in the
main situation. I can't remember if there was in the
Houston insituation. So why have we not protected our agents
(23:34):
by giving them body cams and getting those out there
fast enough?

Is there anything that needs.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
To be done in that area as far as training goes,
but also just making sure they've got the protection of
a body camera that gives us that other angle because
you have so many people that are agitating these incidences,
they're showing up with cameras on purpose, and then we're
getting selective angles which the media then runs with.
Speaker 6 (23:56):
So look, you make a great point when you talk
about the selective angle, and I always use the sports
you know, analogy. You look at sports teams and you know,
safe at home, safe for whatever it is, right, they
have fifty different cameras, fifty different angles, tons of technology,
zoom in, zoom out, I mean, just.

So much, and they still get it wrong. So I'm
I understand that.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
The body camera, it would help, but now you're using
one angle. You know, it's obviously not the cameras the
MLB is using.

To make a decision on split second.

Life and death decisions, So even that is.

A little bit difficult. But it would help.

I mean, I'm not gonna knock it. It would definitely help
a lot of the narrative.

But it comes down to the camera.

I believe CDP has the cameras, but when they get deployed,
I'm not sure how those deployments are because remember you
have to.

Have these big chargers for these big cameras.

And these stickaments, so there's there's.

Issues there, I think, equipment wise. When it comes to
the training, I mean, the training what it comes down
to is, and it's because of the laws and the policies,
each agent has to have a certain amount of hours
of training on the camera use.

And I know people are going to listen to.

The show, and it's like, dude, you just turn it
on the button and turn it off.

No, that's not how it works. These cameras. Once you
turn them on, it records.

The previous two minutes before you turned it on.

People need to know that. But that's without audio, and
if you.

Have incidents now you have to draw up policies of
when you're going to turn it on when you're not.
Do you turn it on for every stop because obviously
you're not going to turn it on and say, oh man,
I think I'm gonna.

Get into shooting. I guess I'll turn it on now.
When you're using these.
Speaker 6 (25:45):
Cameras, when you get back to the stations, you have
to download what you had on the cameras for the day.
So there's a lot of other factors that grow in.
It's not just oh not just carry camera, turn it
on and just walk around all day with the camera.
And it doesn't work that way because it's downloading, you know,
the media file and at the same time the battery

is getting used. So there's so many factors.

When it comes to that.

But absolutely I'm not against them.

I think you know, it would help in a lot
of these situations.

But then you're going to get the public right, because
we've seen it of release the body time.

You get let's say the agents and I'm going to
play dabbles average Let's say the agents, the ice agent.

Is actually guilty of.

A crime of taking life whatever.

Let's just say he is right, right right, Once some
body cameras out and people have made their decisions and everyone,
how do you get a jury.

Of twelve people?

How do you get a jury of twelve flip.

Put us, you know in a courtroom that say I
have I have no knowledge of this case. How do
you do that?

Yeah, that's difficult.

Well, and that's where it comes down to having the
right rules in place to make sure that the camera
footage isn't released too early. You know, we want transparency,
but also you got to protect the court process because
that's part of the system of justice.

It's fascinating stuff. We could go on for hours.

Let me tell you something real quick, and I really
got to make this point.

People always talk about.

Transparency, and I think it's not a bad thing, But
let me explain something to you. I worked over two
decades with the border patrol. Prior to that, I worked
a maximum security prison in the state of Arizona. Transparency
and the truth of what I've seen and what a
lot of others in my you know, field, have seen

is so horrible that we dumbify it for the American
public's good.

Point. People cannot. I mean, if you.

Guys saw the atrocities that I've.

Seen from human smugglers against children, against women, you would.

go and put them to work somewhere.

and I was always all the way at the bottom
at twenty seven dollars and thirty seven cents.

Handler showed up in the comments section with a point
of question, who is paying Joe Rogan eighty two million?
She wrote, give that to our vets and to our
children eighty two million. To be completely uninformed and say
whoopsie doodle every time he's wrong, which is frequent.

So here's here's the reason why I bring this up.

If you want to know why the socialists are taking
over the Democrat Party, this is why. And this is
here's the connection. On the thread on this Chelsea Handler's
worth thirty five million. Most of us will never see
anywhere near that amount of money. Okay, So she lives
in this sort of world where the difference between her
lifestyle at thirty five million and Joe Rogan's lifestyle at

eighty two million really isn't that significant. It's still you
can have absolutely anything you want, anytime you want it.

Literally, when you reach that echelon of income you have

your thirty five million, which ninety nine point nine nine
nine nine nine nine nine percent of Americans will never
even be able to dream of, but you're upset because
this other guy has fifty more million than you, and
you're more virtuous than he is because you're a comedian
who made thirty five million and he's a podcaster who

made more, and somehow you've determined that his more is unworthy,
but your more is worthy, while the rest of us
are trying to figure out how to pay for gas
every month.
