Lawsuits seeks to expand Colorado's ban on female genital mutilation
to also prohibit male circumcision. Two men who say they
were injured by the procedure as infants, want Colorado's law
forbidding female genital mutilation to also prohibit male circumcision. Tristanhoff
of Fort Collins and Adam Schwartz of Denver filed a
lawsuit in Denver District Court on Tuesday, arguing that banning

female genital mutilation but allowing circumcision amounts to sex discrimination.
They have asked to judge to issue an injunction requiring
the state to also prohibit the circumcision of male children. Now,
listen to this. I did not know this before. This
is horrific. Since nineteen ninety nine, Colorado has defined removing
the external genitalia from female children as misdemeanor child abuse.

That is obscene. It should be our highest form of felony.
And why is it not?

It's such a horrific offense by contrast circumcision that there's

the others who's not going to be played as a sucker,
it's Donald Trump. But that is what Iran's been doing.

Okay, So to elaborate, I believe in the difference between
logos and mythos. So you know your religion is based
on mythos, and I don't want to get into an
argument whether you know it's mythology or not. But you've
got the logical argument and the emotional argument of religious

Well, you tend to lean into the mythos versus the lagos.

then let's work through this together. Instead, they reverse it,

I've got to tell you won't be long from now, Ryan,
it may just be months, not even years, when people
will look back and say this was societal madness. I
think the voters even spoke to that in the twenty

conducted the Democrat debate of Wiser and Bennett didn't want

to go anywhere near that. Right, even though boys in
Girls Sports is on the ballot in Colorado, they wouldn't
ask Bennett and Wiser about that because they know that
it is.

with mainstream Colorado. That's why they didn't ask Bennett Wiser
about it in the debate. Yeah, that that is a

support it. There's no logical, rational way to support it.

covenant was circumcision. Now in Jeremiah, Jeremiah the prophets, God

genital mutilation and saying Colorado is a law against that.
So this is sex discrimination, and we're trying to reach
one or both that, or find a way to reach
one or both of the gentlemen bringing the lawsuit to
figure out what they're thinking. And you know what's behind this, because,

first of all, in my view that the comparison between
the two falls apart immediately.

Female genital mutilation, where you.

Cut off parts of the female anatomy so that the
female cannot experience sexual pleasure, is one of the worst
forms of barbarism and abuse of women on the face
of the earth. And the fact Colorado Democrats would keep
it a misdemeanor is to me obscene. Whereas you know circumcision,

it is not that at all. It is not a mutilation.
It's not intended to deprive the male of any type
of function, including sexual and it has a deep religious tradition.
So yeah, I don't see any comparison whatsoever. Texter says Dan,
we need to dump saying gender affirming care and call

it what it is, sex rejection treatment. I agree with
you one thousand percent on dumping gender affirming care. We
only refer to it on the show normally in connection
with pointing out the big lie from the left because
it's the opposite of gender affirming care, it's gender mutilating care.
And I understand the point that, wait a second, it's

really about sex. There are just two sexes, and the
left tries to use the term gender to muddy that,
but the main point being that no gender affirming care
would be Johnny, you're a boy, and understand you're confused now,
and that's a serious thing, and we take that seriously.
We want to help you through your pain, but we're
not going to do it by cutting off your private
parts because you are a boy.

people associate it with the reality. So instead they call
it reproductive freedom, trying to give the impression that Republicans
are trying to force people to go out and have

Very sad place for the left to be, even sader
for America that they still win wherever they do win,

So I don't think it can be compared in any way,
shape or form with circumcision, because female genital mutilation and

the parts that it removes is intended to deprive that
woman for life of sexual pleasure. Circumcision is not intended
to do that. I don't believe it does it. It
has deep religious roots, particularly I believe for our Jewish
brothers and sisters.

Lawsuits seeks to expand Colorado's ban on female genital mutilation
to also prohibit male circumcision. Two men who say they
were injured by the procedure as infants, want Colorado's law
forbidding female genital mutilation to also prohibit male circumcision. Tristanhoff
of Fort Collins and Adam Schwartz of Denver filed a
lawsuit in Denver District Court on Tuesday, arguing that banning

female genital mutilation but allowing circumcision amounts to sex discrimination.
They have asked to judge to issue an injunction requiring
the state to also prohibit the circumcision of male children. Now,
listen to this. I did not know this before. This
is horrific. Since nineteen ninety nine, Colorado has defined removing
the external genitalia from female children as misdemeanor child abuse.

That is obscene. It should be our highest form of felony.
And why is it not?

One of these you know Democrat town halls, ask the
Democrat you control everything. How could this not be the

It's such a horrific offense by contrast circumcision that there's

story broke in the Post. Somebody's gone to court in
Denver as for.

A statewide injunction banning male circumcision, comparing it to female
genital mutilation and saying Colorado is a law against that.
So this is sex discrimination, and we're trying to reach
one or both that, or find a way to reach
one or both of the gentlemen bringing the lawsuit to
figure out what they're thinking. And you know what's behind this, because,

first of all, in my view that the comparison between
the two falls apart immediately.

Female genital mutilation, where you.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Cut off parts of the female anatomy so that the
female cannot experience sexual pleasure, is one of the worst
forms of barbarism and abuse of women on the face
of the earth. And the fact Colorado Democrats would keep
it a misdemeanor is to me obscene. Whereas you know circumcision,

it is not that at all. It is not a mutilation.
It's not intended to deprive the male of any type
of function, including sexual and it has a deep religious tradition.
So yeah, I don't see any comparison whatsoever. Texter says Dan,
we need to dump saying gender affirming care and call

it what it is, sex rejection treatment. I agree with
you one thousand percent on dumping gender affirming care. We
only refer to it on the show normally in connection
with pointing out the big lie from the left because
it's the opposite of gender affirming care, it's gender mutilating care.
And I understand the point that, wait a second, it's
(24:39):
really about sex. There are just two sexes, and the
left tries to use the term gender to muddy that,
but the main point being that no gender affirming care
would be Johnny, you're a boy, and understand you're confused now,
and that's a serious thing, and we take that seriously.
We want to help you through your pain, but we're
not going to do it by cutting off your private
parts because you are a boy.

So the left does this with.

Abortion too, right, when the facts destroy the left's position,
they then try to reverse the terminology. So for years
the left called the mass killing of children abortion, but
then people learn through ultrasound that abortion really was, without question,
just medically, that destruction of innocent human life. So now

the left doesn't want to use the term abortion because
people associate it with the reality. So instead they call
it reproductive freedom, trying to give the impression that Republicans
are trying to force people to go out and have
sex and have babies. I mean, So that's what the
left has to rely on because they lose on the facts,

and they lose on logic, and they lose on common morality.
Very sad place for the left to be, even sader
for America that they still win wherever they do win,
even sat for us that one of those rapidly diminishing
places happens to be Colorado. Three oout three soone three

night as I was enjoying an absolutely wonderful night. The

But Caroline was getting ready to start law school, was
very busy, and Amy set that one out rest up.
But we had a phenomenal evening at Coursefield went with
Joe and we just had a great time, and then
went with two great friends, Ben Waters Wo many people
in Colorado know just one of the great guys ever.

He and Joe been buddy since he was.

Very young, and then he became a star athlete at
Valor and Air Force Academy.

So it was just a wonderful night. But there are

two profound questions occurred to me during the game, because

And then the second thing I asked him, they were
a little more intrigued by. Do you know how a
baseball games around the country now you get like a
handful of guys they stand up in the stands, they
take off their shirts and they just wave their shirts around.
Have you seen that phenomena? And at course field it's happening.
It happened last night. It's really cool, very exciting. So
my proposed was that the four of us should and

then just see if the crowd behind us started going.
So would love your thoughts more on the first one.
More on the first one, though, I still think the
second makes a lot of sense. But if you could
be any of the Colorado sports mascot, which would you
be and why? And we are not limited to that.

this very important issue of they're asking a Colorado court
to ban male circumcisions.

Denver post story, somebody's gone to court to try to

and we chose not to circumcise any of them.

I was circumcised, but we did a lot of research. Okay,
hell reason, there's really.

No reason to do it, but we took one of
the boys that John Hopkins, and the doctor told me
there he says, there's only three reasons to get your
son circumcised, Mohammed, money and mommy. And he said Mohammed
because your religion requires it. Money because the doctor has
a boat payment he has to make and he needs
the cash. And Mommy is because that's the only tipe

she's ever seen and she thinks they should.

All love that way.

Oh well, Mike, you might be caller of the day. Hey,
appreciate the call. It sounds like Mike may have gone
when the child was older. All I can tell you
is I think at the time I was born, it
was just absolutely routine. I have no idea what's routine
now or what isn't because not an issue I pay
attention to. Since our children are older now, I can
tell you I'm very, very grateful and happy that, you know,

my parents followed what apparently was the normal custom at
the time. It's worked out great for me. But respect
everybody's decision on it. That's why the idea that somebody
would go to court to try to ban circumcision in Colorado,
we're trying to reach the people have gone to court

for taking my call. On one comment earlier, you said
kind of struck me in that the female genital mutilation
and male circumcision are not really comparable, and I just
wanted to challenge you a bit on that, be sure still,

as though you know, I mean, they're they're not any different.
Male circumcision, while not intended to reduce pleasure during intimate situations,
impact does do that?

I mean that. I've just got to tell you. It's
hard to imagine. Is there some medical evidence for that?
Speaker 11 (31:45):
Because i's the most sensitive, it's the most sensitive area
that I could think of on the male body. Like
modifying that I have to have some impact on the
see and how pleasure is perceived. I don't know how
you attest that.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Well, I've tested it, so that that's what really Yeah,
I'm just fascinated by what you're saying, because it's hard
to imagine that the alternative would be better. But I
and and maybe I'm not even going to go there
on this show, but.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Are there studies on that things like that? You know,
I don't.
Speaker 11 (32:28):
I don't exactly know.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
And may I do this, Andrew, because you're very kind
to call and to disagree, which we're great grateful for.
But the female genital mutilation, and I don't know how
familiar you are with it, but it is it's one
of the great horrors on the face of the Earth.
So I don't think it can be compared in any way,
shape or form with circumcision, because female genital mutilation and

the parts that it removes is intended to deprive that
woman for life of sexual pleasure. Circumcision is not intended
to do that. I don't believe it does it. It
has deep religious roots, particularly I believe for our Jewish
brothers and sisters.

So I don't think there's any comparison.

Yeah, I understood, Yeah, I mean, I just I think
that there's the practice itself, for whatever reason, is no different.
At the end of the day, and.

In my personal opinion, Christ centered all mutilation.
